RECOGNISING that votes of no confidence are crucial to keeping the government within the confines of the law and maintaining responsiveness of the government to the popular will as represented by the Senate,

NOTING that the laws governing votes of no confidence currently limit their number to one per term,

BELIEVING that such a provision leaves much room for abuse, as in a potential case in which a government deliberately initiates a vote of no confidence in one of its ministers in order to grant itself a freer hand, among other possible situations,

WISHING to maintain the integrity and purpose of votes of no confidence,

HEREBY enacts the following:

The section of the Provisional Republican Executive Act entitled "Motion of No Confidence" shall be amended as follows: The sentence "Only one vote of no confidence may be held per term" shall be struck out and rendered null and void.
