International Development Index
Greetings to all nations of the world. The Drongonian Government, partnered with several NGOs and private research institutes, has compiled a questionnaire which seeks to establish the amount of development within any given country. We invite all heads of state (or their representatives) to take part in the survey and provide both us and the rest of the world with valuable feedback regarding who we should trade, ally and have diplomatic relations with. The International Development Index (IDI) is designed to be the ultimate developmental assessment tool, addressing shortcomings of other indices developed in the past, as well as being the most thorough to date.
We do request that all nations taking part in this survey give their honest and sincere answers when filling out this questionnaire. This allows all parties involved to get a better idea of the entire situation regarding every country. All data entered is handled according to our privacy policy.
PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTINUING
The questions in this survey are only applicable for nations with a "Modern Technology" standard. We classify this standard by any nation having their current timeline as between 2000 - 2030, with technology levels advanced up to 25 years above the current real-world standards. We hope to create an index for more advanced nations at a later date, and apologise for the inconvenience caused if your nation does not conform with this standard.
PLEASE NOTE - WE CANNOT GUARANTEE FAST PROCESSING OF YOUR SUBMISSIONS. PLEASE BE PATIENT.
Index Outline
The questions nations are asked to answer are listed in the codebox below. Please note, you are free to refrain from answering as many questions as you'd like, but each question you answer reduces the likelihood of an accurate score being given to your nation. If you do not wish to answer a question, simply leave it blank.
Index Scoring System
Nations are given a development score which ranges from 0 - 100, with zero being least developed and 100 being a perfect score, indicating the highest possible levels of development accounted for. Please note that the scale below is wide and variable. For example, a nation which scores 69.9 is far more developed than a nation with a score of 50, but they share a bracket and therefore a classification.
Very Highly Developed (85 - 100)
Real world examples: Norway, Finland, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Scotland, Canada, Japan
Nations scoring in this range are very highly developed nations in which their citizens enjoy the world's highest tier of healthcare, living standards, safety and environmental cleanliness.
Highly Developed (70 - 84.9)
Real world examples: United States, United Kingdom, Spain
Nations scoring in this range can be considered highly developed and overall good places to live, although they may not feature all of the "creature comforts" found in the above category.
Moderately Developed (50 - 69.9)
Real world examples: Cuba, Seychelles, Egypt, Bolivia
Nations scoring in this range can be considered moderately developed. They are places in which an individual may very well be able to make something of themselves, but may experience a harder time doing it.
Underdeveloped (20 - 49.9)
Real world examples: South Africa, North Korea, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Palestine
Nations scoring in this range can be considered as underdeveloped. These nations are usually missing vital government services and economic indicators, and likely have a high rate of street crime to boot. These are not great places to live.
Extremely Underdeveloped (0 - 19.9)
Real world examples: Malawi, Tanzania, Mozambique, Cambodia
Nations scoring in this range can be considered extremely underdeveloped. Individuals from these nations are very likely not doing much of economic or personal developmental value, and any individuals who excel in society are likely to migrate out of the country.
