Whose busts are in your leaders' offices?

Postby Nova Samnium » Wed Oct 19, 2011 5:27 am

In Nova Samnium, the Chairman's office oddly has busts, not only of Marx, Engels, and Lenin, but of Jeff Bridges, Nick Nolte, and Clint Eastwood.

The War Commissar's office has busts of Vo Giap, Giuseppe Garibaldi, and Josip Broz Tito.

The Foreign Commissar's office has busts of Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, and Sean Penn.
Alternate Samnium that never fell to the Romans during the Social Wars. Often uses Roman practices and customs borrowed from the SPQR.
Demonym is "Samnite," not "Nova Samnite."
The "Nova" in the name is just necessary because of game mechanics. It is not canon anymore. Yes, I am aware that the gender is wrong. Latin isn't my first language.

Rather than keeping busts, the Empress has an entire Hall of Tyrants dedicated to historical Terran rulers in her residence, the Imperial Spire, containing huge statues of various leaders who were known to rule with iron fist.

Among those depicted are Alexander, Caesar (and a number of other famed Roman emperors) Shi Huang Di, Charlemagne, Richard Lionheart, Friedrich Barbarossa, Ghenghis Khan, Queen Elizabeth, Louis XIV, Peter I Great, Queen Victoria, Vladimir Lenin, Adolph Hitler, Mao Zedong and many others, from antiquity to the time of her father, the Emperor. The purpose of this hall is to remind every visitor that all rulers in history who achieved something great were seldom loved or seen as benevolent in their day or in present, yet what may have seemed as their misdeeds ultimately drove Mankind forth to progress.

Khan Rhopur has few busts in his office (though he is rarely there - prefering the front line to the intrigues of internal politics) he has however a bust of Timur the lame, Genghis Khan, Tsubodei, Kublai Khan and and a bust of a woman, under which it is engraved 'The mother of the ragged wolf clan - Oleun'

There is a bust in the Premier's office, but no one knows who it is. We assume he had something to do with Lancov, though.

We have the busts of Monarchs/Military heroes. We were gifted the bust of 'Margaret Thatcher' upon making first contact with Earth...it was covered in tiny circular holes and had a frightening smile carved into it...we're not entirely sure what this person is famous for

The Mother of the Enclave - Her Royal Highness, Chancellor Princess Allison Amber has a bust of Thomas Hobbes and Joseph de Maistre, the two inspirational men behind our nation's current ideology.

Her (technically half) sister and monarch, Queen Quinn the First, rather has the generic female mannikin that is used to gauge how fashionable some new fad/trend in fashion is, if it is fashionable enough for her to take part in. It comes with the royal mirror which she spends hours with to further gauge if something is truly fashionable enough for her to take part in.

The High Dragoness has a 1:1 bust of her head in dark marble to signify the Dark scales that run across her face, as well as small strokes of 'Violet Obsidian' marring the dark marble, to signify the pattern that runs on her face.

It's quite a rather fetching bust, it's worth a large fortune to some collectors.
It's also assumed that she has similar 'busts' in her bedroom that serve as mannequins for storing her clothes on, also made of marble in the similar style of the bust in her office.

As for the High Dragoon, he comments that he does not require busts, speaking of the fact that they are just a novelty of self-indulgence, he believes that the High Dragoness is a tad bit strange for having so many busts of herself.

Whose bust is in His Majestys office? Mostly his secretarys bust, which naturally travels along with the rest of her when she has to go in there.

None, as vanity is not seen as a trait to be proud of in the SPF. Also there is no need to have a bust of the greatest leader, as Shrills believe the greatest leader is still to come.
