BULLS BARELY KEEPING UP WITH CALGASIA, BUT WON OVER PYAZHNAYA AT HOME
Melperk, Calgasia and Iloilo City, Metropolitan District
Before their home game against Pyazhnaya, the Bulls went off to Calgasia and arrived at Melperk to face the Calgasians. Even the LBDT boys who can bring out the fun also come here to cheer on the boys in light and dark blue. First half was a crucial one as the Calgasian defender faces off Marasigan in a one-on-one battle when Marasigan won the ball, it was up to the goalscorer Viray to score the first goal of the match. But the Calgasians responded theirs in the 38th minute all thanks to the mistakes of Zaldarriaga and went on to get subbed off by Baconawa. And so it begins on the 2nd half, where the Calgasians never stood a chance against the Bulls where Viray, again, scored another goal for the Visayan boys. It was going well for the Bulls until a foul from Robles gave the Calgasians a penalty and scored. But it was a great game to watch for the Bulls even if it's a draw, 2-2. "Well, it did kinda go well for the boys.", says Ayala. "Even though someone made mistakes, we assure that we could keep up with the nations that are highly ranked than us." "Well, it was an exhausting game for us.", says Viray. "Fortunately, just scored two goals. So a great success, I guess?" Then after a draw in Calgasia, the boys went back to Iloilo to have some business against Pyazhnaya and Ayala secretly devised a plan to win over the Pyazhnayans. In the first half, the Visayan defense was looking sharp after the mistake on the 2nd half against Calgasia. The boys went on to score a goal all thanks to Villariño's own free kick goal that send the crowd into a frenzy avalanche. But the Pyazhnayans have responded with a solo goal from their player, and another and another, making it 1-3. It was looking well for the Pyazhnayans until Descartin, Arnaiz, and Benito Jr. came into the field and gave the Visayans a victory against Pyazhnaya with goals from Banaag, Viray, and the captain Pascual. It was a well-deserved victory for the boys in light and dark blue and the fans loved it. "Well, it was great to see the boys win.", says Ayala. "Judging by their performance, I think there are some improvements for this game and next match, we hope to improve more in two games." The Bulls will have to face both Loyo away and Gopnikea at Jordan in the Metropolitan District. Will they overcome the odds and qualify for the World Cup?
