WORLD CUP 65
Lymantatia defeats the last unbeaten team of Group 7, beats NSI 3-2
Know what pisses one off? Managing to keep a tie to the last minute, only to lose it on the last second. That's basically the tale of the tape of the game between Northern Sunrise Islands and Lymantatia for the Group 7. After opening the score and even putting the bar higher, two goals scored by Jacques Bressler in the first half, it took a while for the Sunrisian squad to put their A game on the field once again.
It took Patiy to sub in Mateus Carvalho, who seemingly wasn't IN the game at all, to score one for NSI and put the game back on track. She would nutmeg Edward Love, to finally lob it over the goalie's head and run to the crowd to celebrate the first goal. It wouldn't take too long for the Vaporeons to tie it up, with Christie Travis using a great opportunity to shoot at the top right angle, with one of the best curved shots the blue-and-yellow jersey of NSI has seen.
However, in the last minutes, the referee, probably bribed, saw a penalty kick commited by Trent Millard. Sadly, Sylvius Johnson converted, thus, screwing us of our first position. Seriously, they better come prepared for a good fight when they play at our neck of the woods, because the fans aren't too happy with the result and specially, with the Lymantatians.
