I don't take that interpretation from your saying "it is fair to tax the poor". Fairness has nothing to do with it in reality, of course; see above.Great Nepal wrote:Free South Califas wrote:GN's comment that it is fair for the poor to be punitively taxed for ambitious public research projects, really speaks for itself. GN wants the government to help solidify a permanent underclass while making fantastic advancements for profitable enterprises. I guess that's no surprise.
Absolutely no one is being punitively taxed.
That's not the policy I observed in the government thread, but I'll take your word for it and I'm glad to hear it.Free South Califas wrote:Ministry Foundation Act establishes the Ministry of Research and Astronomy, but last I checked, GN had established an illegal ministry and was ignoring the requirement to establish MoRA.
I am Minister of Research and Astronomy chairing Ministry of Research and Astronomy. It is unofficially called ministry of research and something but it is not used in official ministry's documents.
Free South Califas wrote:I'm concerned about the possibility that this research may be intended to help private interests to generate profit without any requirement to spend it on stimulating the Aurentine economy or increasing stable employment.
The revenue generated from this will benefit our economy greatly since ministry is intent on retaining shares of revenue generated from its money.

No, I think you missed my point. The survival rate of US servicemen is around 1 out of 16. (Rough calculation) Why would Britain's survival rate be so far off?

How the hell ahould i know why, universal healthcare, more women... Your guess is as good as mine in that regard.
However, if you look at my sources, the fact is as of 2007 (so yes, its possible a thid of them dropped dead in the past 6 years) that over 50% of them survived.
While it doesnt actually make sense to me why the uk turned out soo much higher, thats what the evidense shows, and untill someone provides opposing figures relating to british figures, my report remains the official one
(It also provides a good indicator of our population growth as well)
As for the "alternative" figure proposed by someone else with 300,000 to 400,000: provide statistics or numbers. If you just pull numbers out of the air, then i have a counter number: 10 billion.

The only need for a significant VA budget is if we had to pay for British veterans. We don't know how many there are, nor have we established why we have to pay for British veterans...
So unless we find that we have a lot of British veterans which we are required to pay, I don't see why the ministry needs more than basic upkeep costs... I doubt those come to £500 MILLION.

Edit for clarity: A motion of 10 with the support of PM, Deputy PM or President pro tempore can extend the debating time.
ETA: With a motion of 7 and the support of the President, we can split the omnibus or change it in some other way, too.

Very well, I move that we split the omnibus into this;
- Collective Benefit Option Act
- Public Work Centre Act
- National Tariff
- Reasonable Wage Act
- Food Vendor Act
- Responsible Government Act
- Aurentine Revenue and Spending Plans for 2013
and then this
- Repeal Most of the Commerce Ministry Act
-Fair Business Act
- Military Pensions Act
- Protection from Religious Fraud Act
- Economic Democratisation Act
- Participatory Consumption Systems Act
- Free Education for Innovative Self-Management
