Haoqi Fenxi
Enlightenment Through Truth!
Haoqi Fenxi (好奇分析), simply referred to as Haofen for short, is a Changsha-based news site founded on September 23rd, 2025 by Fan Zhousheng, a theoritical computer scientist at Changsha's Central South University with speciality in quantum computing and is also known for her activism in support of marginalized working-class folks in various dictatorships of the bourgeoisie. Described as one of the most popular and influential online media portals in the nation, Haofen combines news reporting, interviews, investigative journalism and political commentary from a strongly-hardline technologist perspective. It documents social movements, struggles for workers' justice, and left-wing activism across the world that challenges western corporate and imperial power, and operates as an international watchdog outfit regarding the effects of corporate, bourgeois, reactionary, fundementalist, dogmatic, and anti-scientific politics worldwide, especially in places such as the imperial core and the marginalized global periphery. Haofen states its aim as one providing activists and workers of the world a global online platform to give the international proletarians up-to-date information and drown out the incoherent voices of international corporate propaganda outlets that pretend to be factual but are actually peddling artificial narratives by manufacturing consent.
Haofen is owned by Changsha Haofen Global Research Development Co., Ltd., which also runs the Changsha Haofen Economic Strategy Institute. The platform has ties to the Jiusan Society, a minor political party with its membership consisting of high- and medium-level intellectuals in the fields of science, technology, and education. Fan Zhousheng herself is a member of the Jiusan Society and serves as a deputy to the Changsha Municipal People's Congress.
