BILATERAL CO-OPERATION BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF SARAWAK DARULHANA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF DAYAK REPUBLIC OF SARAWAK

The Ministry of Unification has informed the National Treasury that the Sarawak Dayak People's Republic has agreed to co-operate with the Sarawak Darulhana Government to make the "PEACE IN THE BORNEO ISLAND" mission a success.
Among the issues to be emphasised by the two countries are issues related to immigration, issues related to the economic crisis experienced by the Sarawak Dayak People's Republic, issues related to provocation by third parties and other issues to be debated later.
It is expected that a delegation from the Sarawak Dayak People's Republic will come for a working visit to discuss these issues, and is expected to meet His Royal Majesty Tuanku Sri Paduka Baginda Sultan & Yang Dipertuan Negara Sarawak Darulhana on the same day.
A delegation from Sarawak Darulhana will also make a 5-day working visit to Kapit, Sarawak Dayak People's Republic for the same purpose and will meet with President George Ngkasan on the same day.
Hopefully with these efforts, the mission of "PEACE IN BORNEO ISLAND" will successfully become a reality and be beneficial to the Government of Sarawak Darulhana and the Government of Sarawak Dayak People's Republic.

Legislation aims to reign in cattle raised for slaughter

Tamara - Legislators on the committee for agriculture and food industry are set to begin drafting legislation aimed at regulating the livestock industry and reducing the number of farmers raising cattle for commercial slaughter. This comes following a meeting with the minister of agriculture, environment and food policy, Anat́oli Soplisiže. In the briefing Soplisiže reported on numbers showing that many farmers, who previously produced dairy products, have steadily been switching to raising cattle for slaughter.

The recent disruption of shipping routes has caused inflation, and the increased prices have made it less profitable for farmers to keep dairy cattle. As a consequence, the price of beef has plummeted, and the demand has increased. Economists and legislators fear that farmers will slaughter so much of Agausia's current livestock, that they will be forced to import cattle. This is something that the ruling coalition, specifically the Farmers' and Greens' Union, has historically been against.

In 2004 MP Adâm Ṕet́opi (PMK) came out against a plan to import cattle after an outbreak of Bovine Herpesvirus-1 (BHV-1.) killed an estimated thirty-nine percent of Agausia's cattle population. Ṕet́opi claims that the importation of live animals for husbandry establishes a bad precedent, which could lessen the quality of Agausia's "high quality domestic goods."

In the past, similar legislation was met with extreme opposition by the nation's farmers. Many of the nation's farmers want to be able to use their cattle however they see fit, and to import more if needed. Despite this opposition, past quotas were set on the importation of livestock, and any legislation which aims to further regulate and restrict the meat industry is likely to pass a floor vote.

After a meeting held by the Sarawak Darulhana Government in collaboration with the Ministry of Islamic Religious Affairs, the Sarawak Darulhana Islamic Council, the National Fatwa Council, the National Imam Syafi'e Council, the Ahlul Sunnah Wal Jamaah Conference with several other Islamic NGOs, after getting approval from His Royal Majesty Tuanku Sri Paduka Baginda Sultan & Yang Dipertuan Negara Sarawak Darulhana, the Government of Sarawak Darulhana ordered "Harakat Islamiyah Sarawak" (HIKMASA) to be dissolved immediately.

Harakat Islamiyah Sarawak was directed in this way because it was found guilty of spreading the Wahhabi doctrine which is the biggest threat to the Royal Islamic Institution and also found guilty of collaborating with the figures of Wahhabism to spread that belief.

To replace the role of the Islamic Organization, the Government Sarawak Darulhana in collaboration with the Government of Brunei Darussalam for establish an Islamic movement or organization to continue the work of Dakwah Islamiyyah in the islands of Borneo. Students nabbed for criticising SPK History paper in viral video

SAMADONG-Two teenagers were arrested yesterday to assist in an investigation over a viral video showing a secondary school student criticising the History paper for this year’s Sijil Pelajaran Kebangsaan (SPK).
Simunjan district police chief Bakhtiar Affendi said police arrested the teenagers, both aged 18, after receiving reports from a teacher yesterday.
“The viral video on TikTok and Facebook showed a male student in his school uniform expressing his dissatisfaction with the SPK History paper.
“The student used vulgar words to criticise those who had set the questions and also insulted Brunei,” Bakhtiar said in a statement.
He added that the Simunjan district police headquarter’s criminal investigation department (JSJ) arrested the students at their homes and also seized their phones.
“Urine tests for drugs on both suspects turned out to be negative and further checks showed that they do not have any past criminal record.
“The case is being investigated under Section 24 of the Minor Offences Act 1999 and Section 433 of the Communications and Multimedia Act (CMA) 2001,” he said.
Bakhtiar advised the public to stop spreading the video, which could cause discord and confusion among the people.

Borneo Bank to offer syndicated loan to HanaMicron via partnership with S-SURE

Borneo Bank signed a syndicated loan agreement with SalamMicron on Feb. 26 to support overseas investments for semiconductor back-end processes, the bank announced Sunday.

As the sole coordinator, Borneo Bank will collaborate with the Sarawak Trade Insurance Corporation (S-SURE) to provide a $200 million syndicated loan to SalamMicron.

The loan will be utilized for the new facility investment of the Qatar's subsidiary of HanaMicron, which primarily focuses on the massive semiconductor business on back-end processes that includes packaging and testing semiconductor chips. The financing will enable the company to provide stable back-end process support to Sarawak semiconductor manufacturers.

The back-end process, which refers to packaging a semiconductor, the final product, and running performance and reliability tests, is deemed to be a new key technology in the semiconductor industry. With the development of AI such as ChatGPT sparking competition in the high-performance semiconductor sector, the syndicated loan is expected to offer an opportunity to strengthen the competitiveness of Sarawak's semiconductor providers and expand the market.

"This is meaningful in that Borneo Bank made contribution to establishing the value-chain in Sarawak's semiconductor industry and enhancing the global competitive edge of high-performing semiconductor makers via the financing measure," Borneo Bank CEO Fedri Hashim said.

"We will spare no effort in extending our assistance to competitive corporate clients advancing into global markets and expanding their businesses by leveraging Borneo Bank global network to provide differentiated financial services," she added.

Sarawak Darulhana slaps more sanctions on S.Sarawak in response to missile provocations

Sarawak Darulhana said Monday it has decided to impose additional independent sanctions on South Sarawak in response to its latest long-range ballistic missile launch and the firing of two short-range ballistic missiles.

The government is imposing the sanctions on four individuals and five institutions involved in the secretive regime's nuclear and missile development programs or helping Sibu evade sanctions, according to the foreign ministry.

Previously, the new Bendahara's administration imposed sanctions on the South on Feb. 10 over crypto theft and cyberattacks.

Vodafone outage leaves millions without cell service, home Internet

Vodafone, Drongonia's second-largest mobile service provider, is reportedly experiencing what it describes as an 'unexpected systems-wide outage' affecting both individual and business customers nationwide.

The outage, reportedly first experienced by Nelson customers at approximately 11:30pm last night, has now spread nationwide with large swathes of Vodafone's customers unable to access 3G, 4G or 5G cellular networks. Additionally, both home and business customers have reported Vodafone's fibre services are offline. While mobile outages are being experienced nationwide, website DownDetector.com shows that most of the fibre outages are being reported from the Nelson-Tasman region.

Vodafone made a post on Peaker this morning, calling for patience and saying that the issue "will be fixed soon". The post quickly garnered attention and was inundated with a barrage of questions and comments from users. The post was later deleted after being up for only 32 minutes. Vodafone later published a statement on their website saying that "While we appreciate this issue is extremely disruptive, we are working our absolute hardest to restore service to affected customers."

At a virtual press conference, Vodafone boss Dave Pretorius told media that customers "would receive compensation in the form of a discount on their next billing cycle". Pretorius also told media that "we [Vodafone] are working with other providers to potentially augment our network capacity while repairs are actioned." When pressed, Pretorius would not confirm whether this meant temporarily 'piggybacking' off of other providers' network infrastructure. Vodafone has done this before in 2015, with a week-long outage forcing some Dunedin customers to connect via Telecom cell towers.

When asked, Telecom's Head of Technical Operations, John Fairbanks, declined to comment, saying only that "Telecom's discussions with other network providers are a private matter." Taking a slightly different tone, JetWireless, operated by rival JetStream, posted a gif of a cat tripping over a power cable in a server room on Peaker this morning, simply captioned "oops". The post has since racked up over 500,000 likes.

Vodafone's reported mobile network market share has already dropped by more than 5% since January 2022, with this outage being the latest in a string of systems failures. In conjunction with bad press associated with the networks attempted $20bn Huawei deal which was blocked by the OIA, the company's revenue reportedly dropped by $350m for the 2022FY. Vodafone Drongonia Limited's shares are currently $9.86 as of 2pm, down over 20% since the start of today's trading.

In addition, Vodafone's consumer internet market share dropped to a record-low 18.41% in 2022, down from over 27% in 2014. In 2015, Vodafone's spot as the nation's second largest fixed-line ISP was taken by Jetstream, relegating the company to third, a position which it has since failed to improve on. Within this timeframe, rivals Telecom and Jetstream experienced a change of -1.58% and +4.80% respectively, compared to Vodafone's mammoth 7.63% loss in market share.

Nelson library closed, police attend - protesters target 'drag queen story time' event

Staff at Nelson's Charles Leighton Library, located in the city's southwest, called Police as self-described 'anti-grooming' protesters interrupted a drag performer’s 'storytime session' at around lunchtime today.

The protesters arrived midway through the performer reading a story to the attending children and parents, according to library-goers. The performer, David Grey, who goes by the stage name 'Night Fire', has been a member of the Nelson drag scene for almost 20 years, according to his website. Grey reportedly stood up and attempted to 'stand over' the protesters, before being allegedly shoved by a protester. According to eyewitnesses, the protesters then began shouting abuse at Grey.

Library staff called Police, who arrived shortly after the initial altercation. According to the Police's report, protesters were shouting slogans such as "hands off our kids" when officers arrived. As Police talked to the protesters, Police report that they were told "this man [Grey] is a pedophile groomer and should be locked up" by one of the protesters, and were asked to "arrest this freak" by another. Police were in attendance for approximately 20 minutes, at which point they asked the protesters to leave the library. According to witnesses, the protesters left calmly and without incident.

On the advice of attending Police, the library's staff made the decision to close the facility at approximately 1:30pm. Police reported that no arrests were made, and the protesters were compliant when asked to move on. Police confirmed, however, that they will be investigating the 'contents and motive' of the discussions Grey was having with the attending parents and children. Chris Appleby, Inspector in Charge of Southwest Nelson, said in a media statement that "the protesters' right to protest protects them from arrest, but we asked them to move on nonetheless in an effort to preserve the peace."

Nelson City Council, which manages the city's libraries, has yet to comment on whether it will issue a trespass order to the protesters. Nelson City Council did post on Peaker that "Lately we’ve seen a lot more abusive and aggressive behaviour in some of our libraries and online channels. This isn’t acceptable to us and causes distress for our staff and our visitors. Our libraries and other facilities are places for everyone to enjoy, feel welcome and safe. The van driver allegedly masturbated in the lift

KUCHING-A van driver of a paint shop was brought before the Shari'a Magistrate's Court in Kuching today on a charge of extreme obscenity by masturbating in an elevator last week.

Mohamad Shahrul Kamran Fri, 23, pleaded not guilty to the charge which was read before Magistrate Wazirah Mohmad Sof.

The man is alleged to have committed extreme obscenity by masturbating until his semen allegedly hit a 34-year-old woman in the elevator, an apartment, in Bandar Baru Semariang at 7.50am on February 16.

He was charged under Section 367D of the Penal Code which provides for a maximum jail term of two years, if convicted.

Earlier, Deputy Public Prosecutor, Nur Farah Adiba Bano'u did not offer any guarantee.

However, the accused represented by lawyer, Azi Mustafa Zifli appealed to be allowed a minimum bail on the grounds that he promised not to disturb the victim.

The court allowed the accused to be bailed at $2,500 with one surety and prohibited the accused from approaching the victim and fixed March 14 for the case to be mentioned again.

Sarawak Bans "Mentega Terbang" in all streaming platform.



SANTUBONG-Mentega Terbang is a Malaya's film distributed by MyContent Distribution and is the first Indie movie to be shown on the Viu streaming platform or mobile app for free. Mentega Terbang release date on Thursday, January 19, 2023.

Earlier today, February 28th, 2023, The CEO of Biosyn Genetics was seen going back into his office at Isla Nublar after a meeting abroad, but he was shown as being much more sick and tired than he usually has been shown as, which leads to a question on whether or not his health has been deteriorating further. It is already common knowledge that he, almost ironically, suffers the same disease many of his creatures faced. Cancer, however he has been able to combat it until now, but with these recent developments it does seem as if he is getting closer to death, as for how chief scientist, Henry Wu, who would likely become CEO in Dodgsons demise, has made no official reaction to these developments, as will be how he will react to gaining the ownership of the largest corporate entity on earth if Dodgson were not to recover.

As of now we can only guess, but we hope that he does indeed make a recovery and is back in the full swing of things, Biosyn will change forever if it’s CEO passes the company to the next man in line.

"Anti Aygnihor" campaign received positive support

the most radical and racist movement in Sarawak Darulhana, Malaya and Brunei, the Malay Power Movement claimed that the "Anti Aygnihor" campaign received a positive and encouraging response.

Atmar bin Ghafir, the secretary general of the movement uploaded his status on his Facebook and said that "Malay Power will destroy the egoism of parasitic races like the Aygnihor".

"My Anti-Aygnihor campaign received encouraging and positive responses from various Malay and Dayak NGOs in Sarawak and Malay NGOs in Malaya. pray that it will be made easier by Allah.. amen"

His status on Facebook got thousands of "likes" and got various reactions and opinions through the comment section.

the campaign was made after the Aygnihor acted rudely when they injured a navy member while being rescued off the coast of Telok Melano last month.

The Malay Power also claimed that the campaign was carried out in response to the aggressive actions of the Aygnihor people in Malaya which was seen as "stepping on the heads" of the Malayan people.

Heavy rain warning today

The National Meteorological Department (Metka) issued a warning of strong winds and rough seas, for the waters in the South China Sea today until next Monday.

Metka Director General, Muhammad Heliza Abdullah, said, based on analysis of weather models, this monsoon has the potential to cause continuous rain in the east of the Malay Peninsula as well as west and central Sarawak.

He said, the continuous rain warning involving related states will continue until tomorrow.

"The rise in sea level is expected in the coastal areas of states in Malaya such as Kelantan, Terangganu, Pahang and eastern Johor at risk of causing sea water overflow on the coast."

Didibazari - Next Wednesday two Agausian districts will hold special elections to fill vacancies in the Agausian parliament. The elections will fill the vacancies left by Maḱsim Ṕanossi and Mišḱa Ermolai. Both MPs were appointed to the country's cabinet by President Aioviḱara, and the Agausian Constitution forbids MPs from serving congruently in two branches of government.


Ṕanossi was nominated to be the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Integration, and Ermolai was nominated as Prime Minister. The new government was approved by the Agausian parliament in a vote of seventy-six to sixty-seven. Despite the parliament being able to approve a government, voter confidence has remined relatively low in the new government coalition.


The special elections are set to take place in Kvišebararis Region's sixth district and Tsënt́ri Region's tenth district. Both districts are likely to vote for the Social Democratic candidate in their respective elections. Paša Sibržnegé is likely to succeed in Kvišebararis and Mit́âs Grosmani in Tsënt́ri.


If the SD candidate in each district win their elections than the governing coalition's majority will grow from seventy-six to seventy-eight.

The Sultan inaugurated the new mosque


SEMARIANG-HRM As-Sultan Tengah III Haji Ibrahim Ali Omar Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Tengah II Haji Indrashah inaugurated the Merpati Jepang Mosque, Semariang, on Sunday morning.

His Majesty arrived at about 6.40 am accompanied by his son, Pangeran Makhota Haji Muhammad Ibrahim Ali Shah IV, Minister for the Ministry of Islamic Religious Affairs, Chief Mufti of Sarawak Darulhana and 30 royal guards.

Datu Banda for the Semariang District Council, Datu Haji Amran Kadir said, the mosque will be fully completed on March 4, 2023 with a construction cost of $50.67 million.

According to him, the mosque can accommodate up to 20,000 worshipers, making it one of the largest mosques in the city of Santubong and also in the Semariang district.

"The mosque was also built with multi-purpose hall facilities that can be used by parishioners to carry out activities and generate income for the mosque.

"This hall can also be used as a Temporary Placement Center (PPS) for flood victims at any time

," he said at the opening ceremony of Merpati Jepang Mosque this morning.

He said the mosque was built through funds from various sources mobilized by the Santubong Islamic Development Sponsor Committee led by Abdul Qahar and his team.

"As a result of their efforts, they managed to collect more than $40 million in mosque construction funds, including parishioners' waqf collection estimated at $30.25 million, the Regional Development Department (JPW) $5 million and the Government of Sarawak Darulhana amounting to $14 million.

"Taking into account the cost of building this mosque, which costs $50.67 million, there is still a remaining collection that can be used by the mosque's administrators to buy other furniture and equipment needed by the mosque,"

He said, the magnificent mosque is expected to drive the spiritual and socio-economic development of the ummah and become a model mosque that will restore the excellence and excellence of the mosque in Semariang as well as for all Islamic institutions in Sarawak Darulhana.

At the event, His Majesty the Sultan also performed congregational Dhuha prayers and began the "Behadrah" ceremony (praise of God).

he said when met by reporters at the Alumni of Simunjan National High School No.1 (SMKSN1) and Semelatong College (SGC) which was also attended by Datu Kamal Adlan, last night.


Golani said that traffic violations involving foreigners do not occur if local people do not sell or rent to them.

He said that since local citizens were detected doing so, the number of cases increased when many of the vehicles were confiscated through the Special Operation for Illegal Non-Citizen Drivers (Pehabuwa) in this country.

Two missing persons found by divers

Mšveǵâ - On Sunday divers were called to the small commune of Mšveǵâ in Agausia's southern Guр́uri Region after local residents reported finding items belonging to someone involved in a missing person case. After divers arrived on scene it was reported that two bodies were found inside of a car on the bottom of the Black Sea near the cost of Agausia's Totsëâ island.

Police at the scene have reported that it appears that the two bodies found inside the car were Ali Namiḱi and Sergei Vorobiovi, both were known members of organized crime families in Agausia. Namiḱi and Vorobiovi were reported missing by police back in 2016 after the two men stagged an assassination of a regional councilor in Guр́uri.

In a press release the night of the recovery it was confirmed that both men were found with bullet holes in their heads, leaving the police to believe that Namiḱi and Vorobiovi were shot point-blank and then dumped in a sinking car - a common tactic of organized crime in Agausia.

Controversial Environment Court ruling finds in favour of Nelson plastics factory

Today's controversial ruling from the Environment Court in Central Christchurch has taken many by surprise. Some political pundits have also speculated that the ruling may have undermined the credibility of the institution.

The court, used specifically to arbitrate and manage issues regarding environmental and health impacts, ruled that those affected by a South Nelson factory's air pollution are not entitled to compensation in a shock decision today.

The pollution, which was described in a 2021 report conducted by the Nelson City Council as 'far in excess of acceptable limits', is generated by smoke created as a by-product of the factory's plastics manufacturing. The factory, operated by Chinese-owned water bottling firm UWIN Capital Limited, was opened in 2003 and has been subject to numerous complaints in the 20 years since its opening. The factory was originally granted Building and Resource Consent in 1997, with the application being appealed by locals multiple times until the Nelson City Council gave unconditional final approval in 2000.

The latest complaint against the factory, which seeked financial compensation for 'physical and emotional distress', was dismissed by the Environment Court, with the court accepting UWIN Capital's defence that the residents had moved in after the factory was opened, and therefore had a duty to perform reasonable research on the area and its environment before moving in. The ruling also noted that "although the Rockview statistical area contains residential dwellings, the area itself is zoned as 'mixed-use industrial', which allows for higher acceptable levels of air and noise pollution."

The Court's ruling did, however, include a recommendation for the Nelson City Council to investigate the air quality in the vicinity of the factory, as it recognised that the factory "may be in contravention of noise and/or air pollution by-laws enforced by the Nelson City Council". UWIN Capital released a statement, saying that "the court's ruling reinforces our belief that the UWIN facilities are operating to the letter of the law." The statement also took aim at local residents, continuing on to say that "it seems as though some are trying to stop progress."

Nelson City Councillor Greg Adams took to Peaker to express his disapproval of the ruling, calling it a "sham" and vowing to "...assist with launching an appeal on behalf of the affected residents." Recently-elected Nelson Mayor Justin Fairbright told National Radio's Andrew Singer during an afternoon interview that he was "beyond disappointed" with the ruling.

Statistics Drongonia and the Ministry of Social Development have released their 2022 End-of-Year report on the homelessness situation in Drongonia. The report provides an overall view of the issue, as well as indepth analyses of each of the country's major centres.

Overall, the report counted a total of 136,757 individuals counted as 'homeless or rough sleeping' across the nation of an estimated population of 35,198,996. The number equates to just under 0.39% of the total population. Compared to other OECD nations, Drongonia's rate of homelessness per capita is considered high, just over double that of the United States with their estimated 0.18%. However, this number comes in lower than Australia, with 0.48% and New Zealand's 0.86%. Drongonia's closest comparative nation is Canada, with a homeless population of 0.36%.

The report does, however, highlight the general downward trend in the number of homeless individuals in Drongonia, even accounting for population growth. The number of homeless people in Drongonia per this report is the second-lowest level since official recordkeeping began in 2000, with 2011's number coming in at 128,906. In the 2021 report, 148,903 people were considered homeless. In 2018 that number was almost 170,000.

Bucking the nationwide downward trend, homeless numbers in Nelson and Dunedin both increased since 2021, with the cities racking up 52,713 and 46,112 homeless people respectively. The two cities combined total of nearly 99,000 makes up a staggering 72.3% of the nation's entire homeless population. In comparison, just 12,103 homeless people were counted in Christchurch - a city of over 6.2 million people. English Island also reported no homelessness, although the Port English City Council did note that there were "less than a dozen" people considered as 'not living in one fixed address'.

Minister of Social Development, Joanna Barber, said in a National Radio interview that while she was "pleased to see the numbers heading downward", there is "always something else we can be doing to help crush this problem for good." Labour Housing spokesperson Sharon Taylor said during an interview with TVDG that the Government's plan is "not good enough". "Homelessness is just another area where this Government is doing the bare minimum to look good. We need to be setting hard targets, and meeting them." When asked for a specific Labour policy, she replied that "our [Labour's] very first move in this area will be to set a goal of reducing the homeless as a percentage of our population by 0.1% per year until we hit zero."

Christchurch Mayor George Bayer told TVDG that he was "very pleased" with the progress the city has made through its council-subsidised Working Against Homelessness scheme. "The [WAH] scheme has been fantastic, we've had thousands through the doors in the past five years and as a result we've reduced Christchurch's homelessness by 50%.

Newly-elected Nelson Mayor Justin Fairbright posted "...unfortunately there's always more to be done to tackle homelessness" on Peaker in reference to the report. Longtime Dunedin Mayor Liz Braithwaite told National Radio that the numbers "make my [her] heart wrench" but that "Dunedin City Council is about to release the details on a $100m package to fight homelessness in our city."
