By now, most of the press had gotten used to Fiorenzo Tartoni – and actually, the other way around as well. Whilst the number of journalists fluctuated, often pending on the Tier of the competition, whilst printed on new and shiny accreditation badges, the same names could be seen day in, day out. As such, those familiar faces had lived along with Fiorenzo on his zero-to-hero story. In a way, they were the ones that wrote it as well. As they had grown used to one another, a fairly positive relationship had built. Tartoni understood enough of how the world works that answering their questions – how bizarre or outlandish they might be – did him well in the long run. And the journalists discovered that Tartoni himself had a style which some would described as chivalrous, others as gentlemanlike, a third category as open and one even had used the word ‘couth’.

His answers often tried to avoid the cliché – although he knew enough about PR to avoid any controversy. But he did, much to the surprises of the nationals who saw him as a bit distanced, try to lard it with some colorful descriptions or a pun here and there. It was not rare for him to add a bit of personal insight, just to keep them glued. It had made him fairly popular with the international press and the room had filled out well for his post-match conference. But the experienced ones noticed straight away that something was off, just by the way he walked in. It was a strut, the one from a boy who had been sent on detention. Fiorenzo Tartoni was annoyed, even a bit angered. Did he not want to be here? His mood seemed to have been like that before the first rally.

The opening question immediately hit the sweet spot.

“Fiorenzo, we noticed that there was a little conversation at the net after the game and even no handshake… What was the cause of all that?”
“He… It just disgusts me,” Fiorenzo stared in front of him, towards some point in the distance, “they’re all animals.”

Two hours earlier.

“Good luck, John!”

Officially, Fiorenzo had not been around for the Astello International. The ongoing conflict with the microcosm of the San Ortelian tennis world between the SOTA and the Tartoni family at the other hand had ensured that the tournament completely ignored the man who was, by far and large, the figurehead of the sport in the nation. His name was nowhere in the presentation, his picture wasn’t hung on banners. Fiorenzo, on the other hand, was not seen either but did follow the matches up close – and Ivanisevic had caught his attention right away. Especially the way Ivanisevic disposed himself of Giunti, known by Tartoni as a difficult opponent, impressed him. Calm, efficient and composed, it took a strong Stagnelius to keep the Baggie from his first title. Tartoni had it for his style.

“Thanks,” John reacted. He looked already to be in the zone.

Fiorenzo grinned a little – he was a fair player but a little bit of destabilizing just as they were going to be called on court for the warming-up, who could resist? A small hick from Tartoni and he remarked.

“Sorry, had a little too much for dinner. Been eating pasteis all week so had me some homemade pasta. Lasagna, to be correct.”
“Ah,” John smiled, “I like that as well. Baggieland is known for it, did you know?”
“I should give it a try,” Fiorenzo answered, but thinking ‘it probably will be decent at best’. Lasagna is a delicacy across the nation but nothing beats the one from his own grandmother, host of a small trattoria in Montelcampo.
“Yeah, lasagna,” Ivanisevic reminisced, “I could spoon out a bowl some days.”
“You could what?” Fiorenzo asked. His tone stiffened.
“Spoon out a whole bowl,” John chuckled, “but not too often of course, we’re still sportsmen.”

Tartoni didn’t reply anymore. His hand tightened its grip around his racket – losing was no longer an option.

Twenty-two years earlier.

“Nonna, can I help you?”

The little trattoria in Montelcampo was filled to the brim – no surprise as it contained only about six tables, but people had also taken up every possible spot near the bar. Many came in here over noon for a quick lunch and whilst they spoke long and loud to one another, time remained important. Hungry, rattling stomachs needed to be brought at ease for another half day of work.

Elisa Tartoni, née Capelotti, tried to ignore the two small hands tearing at the side of her dress for a second, but she couldn’t. Even if she was creating four different pasta sauces at the same time, she would not say no to her oldest grandchild, little Fiorenzo.

“Nonna, can I help you,” he repeated.
“If you want to be a big boy,” she smiled, “put the cutlery on the three tables by the window. The special of the day is lasagna, and the plate is almost ready.”
“Of course, nonna.”

With the eagerness of a young child – being a young child – Fiorenzo grabbed what he needed and rushed into the trattoria itself. Most of the visitors were people from the neighbourhood, regulars, who were used to the sight of her oldest grandchild dribbling around the place. Sometimes, they even made it a game to toss something to him for little Fiorenzo to grab: the kid had amazing reflexes. So when Fiorenzo placed everything on the tables, they were not surprised at first – but then one remarked something, and then the next.

“Nonna Tartoni, you’re not raising your grandchild properly!” one shouted and the hall laughed. Fiorenzo hesitated, was the cutlery not clean? Elisa just walked in with the first few portions as the most boisterous one repeated his plea, “Nonna Tartoni, you’re raising an animal! Look!”

Theatrically, he raised a spoon.

Elisa said nothing, hastily removed the spoons and went for the other portions. Fiorenzo did not understand, he had placed everything on the table as asked, then…

“Nonna, what is the problem?”

She turned to him and he was slightly startled. The kindest woman he knew looked to him as if he was filth for a second – but then she sank to his height and took his shoulder.

“Fiorenzo, you’re learning an important lesson today. You’re young, but from today on, you must be a big boy. We are Ortelians, proud Ortelians and they’ll eat their pasta only… Only!”

She halted, for dramatic purposes.

“Only with a fork. We’re no animals.”
San Ortelio, your favorite pseudo-Italian, coastal microstate. Less than half a million inhabitants who stand for a rich culture, are governed
by an delicate yet marvellously balanced system and remain economically viable due to fishing and funky tax laws.
But enough about us. Come vai?

We're no international threat, so have our domestic thread.
Definitely check the invitation box in the OP if you want to get involved.

ANTILLIA MASTERS

IT'S TENNIS TIME !
by
IVAN JURLINA

IVAN JURLINA : Leonid Farkaš and Goran Ibrahimović in the second final in a row. In an amazing match, they defeated the favored pair from Ceni. Ivan Štimac failed to make it to the finals. He was stopped in the semifinals by Fabrizio Tartoni. Despite the defeat, it is evident that Ivan Štimac is progressing strongly and quickly. After this tournament, our tennis player will be the best placed in the world rankings.Ivan Štimac will be our guest. We will comment on the situation in our tennis, the doubles finals, but also its great progress.

Qualifications took the finals!

Ivan Štimac (SRE) 6 5 3
Fiorenzo Tartoni (SOR) 4 7 6

Despite the defeat, Ivan Štimac has two great weeks behind him. Štimac failed to win the semi-final match of Fiorenzo Tartoni and qualify for the finals, but he achieved six victories. Štimac also had to play qualifiers in this tournament.
Our player started well. With a very aggressive play and changes in rhythm, he tried to throw off the balance of his opponent from San Ortelio. Tartoni is a quality player to easily get out of balance. However, with the result 5: 4 for Štimac, Tarotni did not manage to equalize with his serve.
Štimac anticipated Tartoni's serves very well, attacked every second opponent's serve and after eight deuce's, managed to make a break. The first set is over, the result is 6: 4 for Ivan Štimac. Another set in a similar sign. Both players hold serves and do not allow the opponent to approach to the break. However, with the result 5: 5, Štimac has a serve for 6: 5 and has 40: 0, three game balls.
But something inexplicable happens, Štimac makes two double service errors. Then Tartoni hits a great winner, forehand the diagonal and comes to a deuce. In the next rally, Tartoni defends all around of court, sends one light backhand ball to the half of the court, Štimac hits the forehand in the running position and hits the ball into the net! An incredible unforced error by our tennis player that completely knocked him out of rhythm. Advantage Tartoni, break opportunity for Tartoni.
Štimac, aware of what he has done, does not hit the first serve again and in the eaves of not hitting the second, he sends a weaker ball of only 122 kmh, easy prey for Tartoni and it is a break.
Tartoni has a 6: 5 advantage and a serve for 7: 5 . Tartoni is rising, his game is more stable and he confirms the break with his serves. Tartoni won the set with 7: 5, equalizing to 1: 1.
Ivan Štimac is in a visible decline, it is harder to move and he is aware of that big mistake that is now biting him mentally. Štimac opens the third set with his serve, he serves poorly, he doesn't hit any first serve. Tartoni quickly comes to two tied break opportunities and uses the first one immediately and leads 1: 0. Ivan Štimac is moving harder and harder, his shots are no longer dangerous and with the result 3: 1 for Tartoni, Štimac serves to reduce the result, but he fails to win his serve and Tartoni goes to 4: 1 and then with his serves to 5: 1. Štimac manages to reduce to 5: 2 with his serves.
With the last atoms of strength he tries to do a miracle, Tartoni serves for the set and the match, Štimac is focused. Drop Shot throws Tartoni out of rhythm and manages to shake his self-confidence. Unbelievable but Štimac gets a break and reduces it to 5: 3. But that’s all he managed to do in this match. Tartoni attacks Štimac's serve, comes to two match balls. He immediately uses the first, break, game, set and match of Fiorenzo Tartoni.
Štimac had only 65% of the first serve. His serve fell the most in the last set. He made an incredible 7 double service errors of which 4 in the last set.

IVAN JURLINA : as I have already announced, Ivan Štimac is with us. Ivan, welcome.

IVAN: Thank you.

REPORTER: First of all, congratulations on a great two weeks behind you. First a career result, a quarterfinal at Astello International and then an even better result, from qualifying to the semifinals at the Antilia Masters. Really great!

IVAN: Thank you. yes, as you said yourself, two weeks that were great for me. I work well with my team. I have a new coach, manager, nutritionist, physiotherapist, these people take care of me day and night and because of that the results are getting better.

REPORTER: You get the impression that you have run out of freshness in the semifinals.

IVAN: Yes, Fiorenzo Tartoni is a great player, he belongs to the very top of world tennis. You have to be 100% ready against it both mentally and physically. I entered the match at 70%. The qualifications took away my freshness and strength though. As the match progressed I no longer had the strength to serve or run. It was simply the seventh match for me and the fifth for Fabrizio. He was much fresher, less spent on the field.

REPORTER: Despite that, it was not easy for your opponent.

IVAN: hehe, it's was not ,no.

REPORTER: Now let's look at the report from the epic match for the epic final in the doubles game.

Mental strength changes the world!

Elia Xal/Fia Xal (CEN) 4 6 6
Leonid Farkaš/Goran Ibrahimović (SRE) 6 4 8

The finals before the finals per game would be said. The entire tennis world followed and commented on the incredible epic match between Leonid Farkaš / Goran Ibrahimović and Elia Xal / Fia Xal from Ceni at the Antillia Masters. Two great doubles paires who had to knock each other out in the semifinals. Ibrahimović and Farkaš came as the current winners from Astello International. On the other hand, they have a pair that is better ranked than them. Despite not-so-convincing play at the Antillia Masters, our tennis players played their best when they were close to relegation from the tournament. The first set was very even. It was played quickly and firmly on every ball. No pair showed weakness until the 5: 4 result for our tennis players. The pair from Ceni serve to equalize but Fia Xal serves poorly, doesn’t react well and that’s where things get complicated for them. Ours come to two tied break balls, 15:40 on the scoreboard.
Fia serves, Leonid with the Backhand parallel hits the corner of the court brilliantly, Fia reaches the ball but only enough to play high ball. Ibrahimović is on the net, hits the ball with a great smash and it is a break and set for Farkaš / Ibrahimović. In the second set, Ibrahimović serves but Elia Xal and Fia Xal break the advantage. They keep that advantage until the very end and equalize at 1: 1! Then the drama begins. In the third set, Goran Ibrahimović loses his serve again and Elia Xal and Fia Xal quickly go to 3: 0! The guys on Leonid's serve manage to reduce it to 3: 1, but the doule pair from Cena reach 4: 1 with their serve. With the result 5: 3 Elia Xal and Fia Xal come to the first match ball, they have 40:30. However the guys play great online and save that match ball. The next point belongs to ours again by hitting the net with a Fia Xal backhand! An incredible unforced error by Fia Xal that helped our team first reduce that break to 5: 4 and then equalize to 5: 5. Elia Xal and Fia Xal come to 6: 5 with their serve and then on Leonid Farkas' serve they get two new match balls. They have 15:40, Leonid serves, watches where Elia Xal stands, hits the ball and it’s AS! The first ace service for him in the match! Leonid prepares for service again, this time on the side of the Fia Xal. Served in the middle of the court, speed is 189 km / h, Fia Xal with forehand tries to play diagonally, but on the net Goran Ibrahimović follows the ball great and hits the winner for 40:40! Fia Xal angrily throws the racket and gets a reprimand from the referee. Farkaš prepares for the service again, Igrahimović whispers something to him, Elia Xal is waiting for the service. Leonid serves, great kick service diagonal, Elia in big trouble but manages to get that serve, however she is far off the court. Her forehand is ready for Ibrahimović on the net, Elia fails to return on time and that is the game for Frakaš / Ibrahimović.
Equalization, 6: 6! Doble par from Ceni, serves for 7: 6 but does not serve well. Their game is falling apart and Farkaš and Ibrahimović are making great use of this situation and making a break for 7: 6! Ibrahimović on the serve, surprised Elia Xal with a great first serve. Elia loses her temper and throws the racket. The judge awards her a new reprimand. Ibrahimović serves again, again a great first serve that Fia Xal cannot control and the ball goes to the big out. Ibrahimović serves an ace to Elia Xal. Those are three match balls. Again, Ibrahimović serves brilliantly, this time in the middle of the court, Fia Xal returns it with great difficulty, but only to Leonid Farkaš, who scores for the game set and the match!

REPORTER : What do you think of this match?

IVAN: They are amazing, born winners. The two of them play really phenomenally.

REPORTER : They win even when they don’t have convincing games.

IVAN : They win in such matches because they are mentally strong. In addition, they are a couple in an emotional relationship. They are engaged to each other and it is a whole new dimension of energy. They may look unconvincing at the moment but take my word for it, in the final they will be the real ones.

REPORTER: Do you think the key is their relationship?

IVAN: Of course. They have that relationship that pushes them forward. They know each other very well. They know all one of the other. They are bound by love and that energy of relationship. That's why they're so good.

REPORTER: This is the tenth victory in a row. They entered the second final in a row. what are their chances tomorrow.

IVAN: They are one of the best couples in the world this year with the remark that they are still growing. If they continue to progress at this pace, they will surely be the best couple in the world. After what we have seen, it is precisely this mental strength and their synergy that will be crucial in the final. Here, Farkaš and Ibrahimović have an advantage over Arne Oxwald / Goran McEnroe from Gnejs and Baggieland, respectively.

REPORTER: They are playing against Oxwald and McEnroe and they beat them.

IVAN : Arne Oxwald / Goran McEnroe are great players and it is certain that they will keep in mind that they were already defeated by Leonid Farkaš and Goran Ibrahimović in the semifinals of Astello International. But this is a new match and ours players must be imposed from the beginning.

REPORTER : The whole nation will follow this match played at the Antilia Masters. At some point, the whole nation will stop, TV broadcasts will be watched, radio will be listened to

Image

REPORTER: Can you comment on the situation with Bojana Španović?

IVAN: Well, I have nothing to comment on. Great damage is done to sports if everything is true that is put on it.

REPORTER: How well did you know each other?

IVAN: We knew each other well, we met at tournaments. We used to have sparring matches. Believe me, it’s hard for me to say anything at all about this scandal. Because all this will sooner or later be resolved. But the bitter taste remains.

REPORTER: Ivan, thank you for visiting. Dear viewers, stay with our program. And we are re-engaging at the start of both finals, sinlge and doubles which is very important to us.

In RL, I went to an Italian restaurant today. There were many items on the menu: lots of different pizzas and all types of pasta. As I perused the menu, one word jumped out at me.

LASAGNA.

So I said to the waitress, "Lasagna please, and a spoon."

In the second round, he lost smoothly to Martha McNeil (27) (GRU) with 6: 1, 6: 0.

ASTELLO INTERNATIONAL

Štimac worked very well with his team.

Leonid Farkaš/Goran Ibrahimović The most successful tennis pair in DR Srednjaci, an incredible series of 12 international tournament matches in a row undefeated. A great couple who understand each other very well and there is a special energy between the two of them on the field.

Ibrahimovic is a good player in singles but prefers doubles.
He was born in the small town of Liska near Katanija. As a boy, he trained alpine skiing, but still decided to play tennis because, as he says, he himself does not like snow and winter.

RADIO TELEVIZIJA DOTIVIJA CITY - Sportski program 1

Our tennis players flew to Hamilton International. Many are wondering now "what is it" ?!
Well, dear spectators, this is a tennis tournament, and our tennis association, that is, your mother Dotivia, has as many as four representatives in the individual competition, and two are in doubles. Believe it or not, this year Ilonka Plevnik managed to win. True, it was against our other tennis player Vilim Gulić, but it counts as a victory. It was at distant Astello International, few mounths ago! A great victory, a brilliant victory above all. Tennis also has its own professional table with all professional international players. Tennis players collect points in order to collect them as much as possible and be as close as possible to number 1! They do not collect points on the floor like scattered pearls, but collect points with their games on tournaments! The further a player goes in the tournament, the more points he collects.

ILONKA PLEVNIK
Ilonka Plevnik is our best tennis player. With her performances, she collected some points, enough for the 184th position on the table.
Ilonka is 22 years old and manages to collect a few more points, maybe the top 100 is approaching!
Fate wanted, or even a draw, for Ilonka to play against another of our tennis players, Alen Glesnik.
Considering the games shown before, Plevnik is the favorite in this match.
Ilonka also plays double matches in a pair with Ivanka Mazurkijević. So far they have not had a result worth mentioning.

SANDRA MAE
Cute little Sandra Mae, better known for her laundry detergent commercials.
"This stain fell off quickly! From now on I don't care if I stain my dress! I'll eat and drink everything!"
Yes, we all know that commercial but no one knows who that girl is on it. In fact, only a few know. Well that's Sandra Mae. A girl from Višnjevac. A young tennis player who is only 18 years old and is already on the world scene of advertising and sports.
Obviously her commercials are going better because tennis is a disaster. Maybe she will get her's first professional victory in this tournament. hahaha Nooot !!
She is currently in 295th place in the world, for her and her tennis, very successful! hahaha

ALEN GLESNIK
Alen Glesnik, we don't mean the actor Alen Glesnik who is beautiful and handsome, great, fabulous, sexy ... but we mean the clumsy figure who runs after the yellow ball with the racket.
And that makes it pretty unsuccessful.
He once stated that he wants to be a pilot!! hahahaha!!
For God's sake pilot hahaha!
So what fool would put a plane in your hands ?!
The racket in your hands looks like a cold weapon and not like a sports prop. Maybe a serial killer career would be better for him ?! In fact, it wouldn't because he is so incapable of hiding traces!
Anyway, this 25-year-old is around the 500th position in the world. Wow, being 500th in the world for him is like being from another planet!

VILIM GULIĆ
Oh my God, Vilim Gulić. Tall as a giraffe! I don't understand at all why he didn't play basketball and volleyball ... ah yes, I remembered the statement:
"Everyone in Dotivija wants to be a basketball player! I wanted to be something else so I chose tennis."
Why for God sake ?!!
Well, boy, you're not doing very well. Use your height for something more useful ... picking apples from tall branches, for example. That would be a great career for you.
However, age saves him, the boy is young, he is 20 years old, he manages to change his mind about tennis and go pick apples.

DRAWS FOR DOTIVIA PLAYERS

Vilim Gulić (DOT) vs Banko Karma Namgyal (ARK)
Ikram Phuktho (ARK) vs Sandra Mae (DOT)
Ilonka Plevnik (DOT) vs Alen Glesnik (DOT)

DOUBLES

Qualifier 1 vs Ilonka Plevnik/Mihaela Mazurkijević (DOT)

HAMILTON INTERNATIONAL

IT'S TENNIS TIME

IVAN JURLINA : A tough draw for our representatives at Hamilton International!
Our tennis players will not have an easy task at the tournament.
Tena Špiričić got her debutant at international tennis tournaments, Karyn Cross from Bollonich. We don't know how she plays, but we know that Tena is a great player and that she will do her best in this match. She desperately needs points.

"I've done well. I'm happy with everything I've done with my team so far. I have to stay focused on my goal. My form is growing and I believe in a good result. I don't know anything about Karyn Cross because she hasn't competed before. But I take it seriously. every opponent, so I'll take her so seriously. " Tena said.

Our best ranked player, Ivan Štimac, will compete with Teegan Sosa. Sosa is the 60th player in the world and Štimac is the 53rd player in the world. However, Štimac is in better ascending form. Ivan has the Masters semifinals, at the Antillia Masters tournament and the quarterfinals at Astello International.

"I continued with my team with great preparations. I think we are doing great and going in the right direction together. Sosa is a great player and I have to stay focused against him and play point after point." Said Ivan Štimac

Our young tennis player Lucija Bagarić will have a difficult job again in the first round. Margie Brown is the 84th player in the world and a very awkward opponent. Our most talented young player plays extremely offensive tennis which may not suit Margie Brown the best. We expected a lot more from young Lucija. Maybe this is a tournament where he will show off her's splendor of her's talent.

"I have to learn to stand on the ball sometimes. Don't rush. I have the strength and speed to use but I rushing at key moments. I believe with experience comes calmness. Behind me are four big tournaments and over 10 international matches. I've learned something .My opponent is in the top 100, so she's dangerous. I have to play my game, aggressively and keep the ball." Lucija Bagarić statement

We have a new double and the first international cooperation. Ljubomir Ivanković and Leanne Stewart from Electrum are the new double couple. This is the first international collaboration of a player from Srednjaci with a player from another country. We are glad that this is a player from Electrum. And what does Ivankovic say?

"Leanne is a great person and a very good tennis player. When she made a proposal for cooperation, I immediately accepted. We get along well on and off the court. I believe this cooperation will be successful. This is our first joint tournament and we do not have high expectations. Important is to play more tournaments together and I can't wait for our first match. "

We must mention that Ljubomir Ivanković will play the first round of the single and his opponent will be Haikal Jansen. Jansen is currently the 92nd player in the world and Ljubomir will again have an unpleasant opponent in the first round. For the first time at the same time, our tennis players will not have to pass the qualifications.

LEONID FARKAŠ AND GORAN IBRAHIMOVIĆ are first in many ways. The guys are amazing. They raised their form and game to the highest level and won the last two tournaments Astello International and Antillia Masters.
-The first are tennis players from Srednjaci with an international title
-The first doubles are those who have publicly announced that they are in an emotional relationship
-They are the first doubles in the world this year with two consecutive titles
-They are first in the world this year with 12 consecutive unbeaten wins
-They are the first in Srednjaci to sign a multimillion sponsorship agreement. By the end of the season they will receive 25 million from Air Katanija!
The guys started a tennis revolution in our country.

"A lot has been going on in our lives. Engagements, winning Astello International, then all that media pressure before the Antillia Masters. And we endured that and won the Antillia Masters. We are a little more relaxed now. We’ve caught the rhythm again and feel is good. We don't have that much pressure on our backs anymore. "Leonid Farkaš said.

Hamilton International draws announced; 2 days to go

The draw for the upcoming Hamilton International to be held in Electrum recently announced the draw for this Tier 1 tournament where 8 Bollonischians are competing. In the singles qualifying Amarjeet Walmsley faces Henry Harbor of Saterun who is also taking part in their first tournament similar to the situation of Amarjeet. If Amarjeet does manage to qualify by successfully defeating Henry Harbor, he will go onto face Akkrum Drukchen of Arjunnagar in the first round. Karyn Cross, the last champion of the Fermont Open which is the National Tennis Championship will face Tena Špiričić from Srednjaci, a country which has produced many a fine crop of Tennis Players. Tena is currently ranked 99th in the world and hence this battle against Tena will prove to be an immensely difficult one for Karyn Cross.
Marlena Cookson the finalist of the Fermont Open will meanwhile face Gregory Huemenn from Indusse who is currently ranked 113th in the world. The last and final singles match up for Bollonich features the match between Penelope Robinson and Hemat Darwisa from Eraman who is also 83rd ranked in the world. It will be immensely difficult for the Bollonischians to make the 2nd round in the singles brackets
In the doubles section, the duo of Leighton Fishman and Mercy Henryson are matched up against Batera Siwara and Hemat Darwisa from Eraman both of whom are ranked 107. The other pair from Bollonich, Prince Burns and Xander Dyes are competing in the 1st qualifier against a pair from Arjunnagar Rico Tandin and Norbu Varun Chime both of whom are yet to be ranked. This match seems to be a match up that the pair would be looking to make progress in and enter the first round.
Overall Bollonich is a new nation to the multiverse tennis and hence this as the first competition means the Bollonischians will have a tough going.

The three keys to victory for Andrew Simmons

With Andrew Simmons defending just 65 points at his home tournament (the corresponding tournament was held in Mattijana this time last year), the Hamilton International presents an excellent opportunity for him to grab as many points as possible before the Grand Slam at Beconailles. Simmons had a below average hard court season and he will be looking to accumulate as many points as possible to keep in touch with the top eight. This is especially true for the looming Grand Slam where a high seed will give him the opportunity to build his form and avoid some of those tricky low seeded players early in the competition. These are his three keys that will ensure a deep run in Hamilton:

1. Knowing when to strike

Simmons definitely has the capability to raise his game to that next level, and on clay, it is especially deadly. He serves better, defends and slides well with great movement, and increasing that topspin. But he needs to be better at picking those moments. At times, when his opponent gets a run of a few good points, he starts to plays passively and tentatively. That only exacerbates his opponent's run of points, and he can become quickly overwhelmed and not trust his shots, as what happened last year with Simmons' loss to then upstart Bartolo Sabanero, 6-4, 6-4. He can get very negative, and although he doesn't show it through smashing his racquet, it is very obvious for his opponent, which just raises their killer instincts.

2. Winning the return games

For Simmons, and unlike most other players, the emphasis for him is to win the return games. On tour, he has one of the highest return games won on clay. He can use his athleticism to extend the points and construct the point in such a way to draw his opponent into making an error. Alternatively, he can sit there and wait until the perfect opportunity arises (say a short ball) and just go for the throat with his crushing forehand. He cannot allow the strong servers to gain those free points because his own service games are not as clean as they could be, even for a man of his high ranking. Breaking back is essential to maintaining the pressure on his opponent and making sure they do not get away with the set or the match.

3. The weather conditions

Comparatively, Simmons struggles in humid, heavy conditions. It's why he put in an underwhelming performance in Mattijana. In contrast, Hamilton's typical sunshine and dry desert heat means that the clay court gets harder and the ball gets bouncier. Once Simmons gets those topspin heavy shots in, the ball just becomes almost impossible for his opponents to reach. And, as a native Electrumite, he would be well conditioned to the sometimes oppressively hot conditions around Hamilton while his opponents struggle. Sure, recent advances in cooling technology and player comfort (thanks to the efforts of organisers) have helped in recent years, but when you're playing a long, brutal deuce game, you won't get the opportunity to sit down and cool off. The longer Simmons can drag the game out, the more advantaged he becomes in the Hamilton weather.

Part 1

Liberal Party Presidential Debate - Part 2

After taking a break following the question on Euthanasia the debate continued with Lidya asking questions which must’ve risen in the minds of various Bollonischians before the elections that are to take place next year.

“The financial minister recently announced the Government Spending for the year of 2021. It amounted to a huge amount of 7.3 trillion Bollonisches. Is such spending by the Government justified?”

“Yes, it completely is, but my problem is with where it’s being spent. It’s being spent on our stupid healthcare which the government thinks is so important. I would like to spend that same amount of money on building a strong army and frankly protecting our borders, currently Bollonich’s army is so weak in case of an invasion we shan’t even be able to protect our borders.”

“How stupid and naive can you be Terry? Just because you are rich and can afford your healthcare doesn’t mean everyone can. It is integral that the single payer healthcare system remains as a welfare policy however certain unnecessary procedures should require payment.”

“Yeah, I agree with Verna, it is important that ornamental procedures for beautification or sex change surgeries should not be covered under government insurance.”

“Why not? Do you understand the mental trauma a transgender person has to go through? We ought to let them safely transition from male to female and support them through this procedure instead of needing them to pay for these procedures. That will directly discourage transgenderism which is something we don’t want in an open society like ours.”

“On the issue of immigration, recently we have seen increased levels of immigrants entering Bollonischian society and there have been calls of having completely open borders”

“That’s absurd, immigration, basically another form of capturing a nation. Immigrants are foreign people who are availing benefits of Bollonich, and instead of befitting us they just take away jobs from native Bollonischians. And now these same people call for open borders, do they have no shame. Of course they don’t or else we wouldn’t be talking about this here. They say no borders, you know what I say, build a fucking wall, build it and anyone who comes close shoot them.”

“Maybe we should lay off the extremism. Immigration is not a problem and saying that they take away jobs shows the gross ignorance with which Carolina speaks. They result in the betterment of the economy and also create jobs. However certain limits are what we need and no borders will be a huge mistake and one we cannot make.”

“Thank you for joining us today. We wish all of you the very best in your respective campaigns.”

That was a summarised version of the Liberal Party Presidential Debate which tells us a lot about the campaigns of the candidates and hence it will be interesting to see the result of the Vreton City Journal Polling next week.

PTA Tour Recap

Pemecutan Puri - It's really took everyone by surprise after Pemecutan Tennis Association (PTA) announced their intention to start a domestic tennis tour which is known as PTA Tour. But after the competition start to run, the enthusiasts become larger and larger. After finishing their 7th event, the competition have become the third most domestic sports competition in the country, surpassing volleyball and sepaktakraw domestic league. Overall, the competition seems to be dominated by players from the capital. Based on the number of titles received, players from Pemecutan Puri, the capital have collected 7 titles combine (in both single and double competition). Irwan Ananda in double become the most titles with 4. Other states that have collected titles are Soracana Islands, Kanginan, Ulunusa and Batubulan. All of them have collected 2 titles each except Ulunusa with only 1 title. Although the capital players seems to always failed to compete in Tier 1 event. After 3 Tier 1 events that have ended and 6 titles received, Pemecutan Puri players only get 1 title. Kanginan is more lucky as both their titles are received from Tier 1 event. By point collection, Kanginani player, Ayu Diah Padmi claimed the top spot in Single rank with 2285 points. She rise to the top after grab a title in Pecatu Championship, a Tier 1 event. While in double, Irwan Ananda from Pemecutan Puri who claimed the top spot with 3550 points. He started with a good run after 2 back to back titles. Down to second place after the third event. Then rise to first spot again and retain his position. His consistent teammates, Haryo Kusumo settled in second spot.

On this week, PTA Tour start their 8th event. It is the second grass competition after previously the grass season was opened with a Tier 1 event, Kesiman Championship. This event, Titih Open, will be run for around 5 days with 32 singles and 16 doubles players at max. The event is predicted to be win by a new player as some top rank players are not entering the competition. Tambangani player, Putri Dewanti is the highest rank player to enter the competition in Single event. She is 7th in the rank. While in Double, first rank, Irwan Ananda and his teammates, Haryo Kusumo are also not entering the competition. Cited a quick break as their reason. Kanginani double, Komang Ayu Chandrasari and Ketut Artha Wiguna have a greater chance to win the competition. Their biggest rival would be Putu Adi Gunawan and Ayu Setyarini from Jimbarwana.

NSTT season 7: Columnist Valsi Kinall takes stock of clay court season as tour moves to Hamilton

Since the San Ortelian sports newsletter SanSpOrtelio published its analysis of NSTT season 7 proclaiming Valentina Spetsova "the next Bartolo Sabanero," a lot has changed. Fiorenzo Tartoni, whom the publication dismissed as "an admirable side character," won the first Tier 1 tournament on clay at the prestigious Antillia Masters, while Spetsova lost in the second round and Gnejs has made a case for its supremacy on the clay court.

But the bombshell would have to be the reappearance of Bartolo Sabanero himself as the Aqualian tennis federation got its act together. Of course, the tennis community has awakened with speculation on exactly why Aqual disappeared for almost the entire hard court season and why Sabanero et al. have chosen to return now — but the end result is clear: Sabanero has returned to maintain his tenuous grip on the world number 1 spot.

That is not an understatement. According to the NSTT's ranking system, points expire after the corresponding tournament. Even though Sabanero is the defending champion here in Hamilton, he is only defending points from last year's Mattijana Open, where he notched a quarterfinals appearance. But that also means that a quarterfinal appearance here would lead him to tread water — and that means he would defend his full 2,000 points from last year's Hamilton International at the Beçonailles, a tournament where he had a rare early round exit last year.

Despite Sabanero's highly consistent performance last year, accurately predicting Sabanero's results this year will take more imagination than extrapolation. The reason is simple: He has little match experience, especially in a period where the top brass in the tennis scene has rotated. His main rivals from last season, Ngurah Putra Muliawan and Dewa Putu Adrian Putra from Pemecutan, have put together one quarterfinal appearance between them this season, while new faces like Valentina Spetsova, Jean van der Kloor, and Mindy Waterford have risen from the ranks. We could hardly forget our own player's rocketlike ascent back to the top places in the NSTT, with Lonus Varalin and Ardil Navsal both rising to the top ten. Both, in fact, have lifted the trophy here after a final match in the Cauldron.

As for the lack of match experience: The Aqualian last appeared in the Cenian Open, where he did not face any top tier opposition by that period's standards. After getting past journeywoman Janet Riley of Electrum in five laborious sets, he lost to San Ortelio's "admirable side character" Tartoni in four sets in the fourth round. Of course, Tartoni is now world number five, but the point still stands. Sabanero has not demonstrated himself against Cenian opposition, which seems the most likely threat to his dominance.

Of course, all that matters little given that we have a draw for the Hamilton International. Sabanero has escaped with a remarkably easy draw, in fact: Perhaps Tena Špiričić of Srednjaci represents the only major threat in his draw before the quarterfinals, but Špiričić would need Margaret on her side (and perhaps 1,093 rubber chickens) to score an upset against even a rusty Sabanero. That said, the hot and dry conditions in Hamilton have always inspired devotees of Margaret, with some saying the sports goddess takes particular glee in influencing results here in Hamilton.

In fact, Sabanero's rivals will have to take each other out: Mindy Waterford and Jean van der Kloor are scheduled to meet each other in the Round of 16 in Section 3, while Tartoni, Navsal, and Varalin all will have to duke it out in the bottom half. Indeed, only one of Navsal or Varalin could reach the semifinals, given that they must face each other in the quarterfinals (should they both make it that far in what has, again, been an upset-heavy tournament).

Where does that leave us? Sabanero likely has an easy route to the semifinals, where he can actually extend his lead against Varalin in the race for world number 1. Varalin has been consistent so far this year, but a quarterfinal exit at the Antillia Masters must have disappointed him, and it seems like high time for an upset against a Cenian player at this tournament. The same goes for Navsal. Andy Amada might be a sleeper in Section 6, and Georg Heraklit also has the potential to disrupt Section 8 at the very bottom of the draw.

So while we imagine that Sabanero will at least reach the semifinals, the remaining three spots are anyone's guess. I'll take a shot at it: Jean van der Kloor will fill the second semifinal spot from the top half, and Andy Amada and Georg Heraklit will face off on the other side of the draw. I'll surmise that van der Kloor and Heraklit will play in the final — and if my predictions are correct, van der Kloor will win the whole shabang.

But my predictions rarely are correct, so take them with a grain of salt. One thing's for sure: Bartolo Sabanero will hang on to his number one crown for at least one more tournament.

Tennis: Paired too soon? Barna and Henschel meet at Hamilton International 1st round post-split

HAMILTON, ELECTRUM - It seems that Alexandra Barna and Ralph Henschel are meeting up too soon after the two split off their partnership after the latter decided to leave the Steinigestrasse Tennis Club in the onset of the Gergarian Tennis Series (GTS) season. The two were drawn into each other with their new partners at the first round of the Hamilton International in Electrum, having met each other in the GTS already this season.

Barna and Henschel has been Gergary's highest ranked doubles pair prior to Henschel's departure from the tennis club, with the pair's last partnership in the Electrum Slam several months from now. Alexandra Barna, who remained in the nation's oldest tennis club, has paired up with Cecilia Riesz, and had an immediate impact in the first GTS event in Oeldepot, winning the doubles' final after beating Barna's old partner and Walther Rapp, based in Milchmaenner. The latter pair won the next event though in Szekely after Barna and Riesz crashed out of the tournament in the Round of 16 stage. The two pairs are among the favorites to take the national clay tournament in Pas which will be held after the tournament in Hamilton.

The singles contingent though, having the Pas tournament held before the Hamilton International due to scheduling conflicts, Waltraut Harman, one of the new breeds of Steinigestrasse, will take part in his NSTT debut thanks to winning the Category N Singles' Tournament in Pas, beating Nadja Furedi in the final of an upset-filled tournament. He will make his debut against San Ortelio's Luciano Crepaldi. Ralph Henschel will also take part in the singles tournament as he faces Stephen Saltswoon of Indusse, while Gergary's top guns Donat Kis and Armin Miksa received first round byes, both having embarrassing first round exits in the Antilla Masters before this tournament.

IN THE RACE FOR SINGLE TITLE

Four tennis players are in the first round. Can any of them follow in the footsteps of Leonid Farkaš and Goran Ibrahimović in a double? Will it be Ivan Štimac?
Maybe Tena Špiričić or the youngest of them Lucija Bagarić?
We must not forget on Ljubomir Ivanković, who will also perform in doubles.

Ivan Štimac has the best chances to win the first international tennis tournament. His form is getting better from tournament to tournament. In the beginning, he had problems passing the qualifications, and at the last masters in Antillia, he played in the semifinals.

From the beginning, Tena Špiričić started best of all. It works well again, it has a great team of people around it.
The situation around Bojana Španović shook her at the Antillia Masters, considering that they played double together. Tena was disturbed in Antillia with the arrest of Bojana Španović. This was reflected on her's result.

Lucija Bagarić can never show her talent in the right light. She always does a great job in qualifying, but in the main tournament he fails to make a bigger result. She will not have qualifications now, maybe this is the tournament where she will go far.

The second day of the Hamilton International at Electrum had arrived once more, and with it came the matches that would decide whether Bollonischian tennis players would advance into the second round of the singles bracket. Two Bollonischians were competing in Section 1 as Tena Špiričić of Srednjaci took on Karyn Cross. The match was to be an interesting and competitive one and that is exactly what it was. Karyn Cross sealed the first set 6-4 breaking at 5-4. The next set was won by Tena as she broke at 4-3 and then went on to seal the set 6-3. Amarjeet however made a comeback following the first set winning the rest of the two sets 6-4 and 6-2. This win of Amarjeet’s granted him a position in the 2nd round of the Singles which is a momentous occasion for him.
Penelope Robinson another Singles first round player for Bollonich faced off against Hemat Darwisa of Eraman where Hemat sent Penelope crashing out of the Hamilton International winning both sets 6-3 and 6-3. The last and final singles match for a Bollonischian player was the match between Marlena Cookson and Gregory Huemenn from Indusse. Hamilton International

IVAN JURLINA : Although the weather conditions were still extreme in Hamilton, the matches of the first round of the isingle main draw competition were played.
Four representatives from Srednjaci came out on the court under the heating sun and they were all successful in the first round.
Lucija Bagarić was the most convincing and Ljubomir Ivanković had the most problems.

Tena Špiričić (SRE) 4 6 6
Karyn Cross (BOL) 6 3 2

Karyn Cross from Bollonich makes her debut in international tennis tournaments. She showed great knowledge and skill by torturing Tena Špiričić. Tena entered the match somewhat more reserved, perhaps not expecting such a good game from her opponent. The player from Bollonich noticed her opportunity, she managed to impose her rhythm with which Tena struggled. Tena tried to impose authority but failed. At 5: 4, Tena served but Karyn returned brilliantly. With two winners, one forced error and an unforced error by Tena Špiričić, Karyn Cross won the first set with 6: 4.
Tena was visibly upset by the development of events and even the hot sun did not help her. In the second set, Tena was more and more concrete and dangerous from change to change. Karyn Cros was in a defensive position most of the time. At 4: 3 for Tena, Karyn lost her set. tena had 5: 3 and a set service which she immediately used. She finally managed to impose her game. In the third set, however, Tena was the one who dictated the pace and won the set with 6: 2. Tena came away with her 9th win at international tennis tournaments in singles matches.

"It was really hard to play. My opponent played really great and I had to work hard and put in more speed. I believe in my game and I think this is a good start into the tournament."

REPORTER : The next opponent is Carmichael Brown, the 25th seed.

"All the players coming from Electrum are quality. I think I have to play my game and stay focused on what I'm doing." said Tena Špiričić

Ivan Štimac (SRE) 6 6
Teegan Sosa (GRU) 2 2

Our best player in the individual competition, our first racket, Ivan Štimac, did not have too many problems with Taegan Sosa. Stimac controlled the match from the beginning to the end. Served well with an interception of 86% of the first serve. 13 service aces had and fired 31 winners. His opponent didn't have much of a chance. For Ivan, this is the 11th victory in his career at international singles tournaments.

"It was very hot and the air was too dry. I didn't want to stay on the field too much, I was looking to finish the match as soon as possible so as not to spend a lot. Taegan is a good player and I expected maybe stronger resistance but I think he also wanted finish as soon as possible. "

REPORTER : Your next opponent is Neia Dovan from Ceni. She is the 22nd seed of the tournament, what do you expect from that match?

"I hope it may be a little fresher but I definitely expect a great match and good tennis from both sides. I work very well with my team and I believe in a positive result."

Haikal Jansen (SHT) 6 3 9
Ljubomir Ivanković (SRE) 3 6 11

The real battle took place between Ljubomir Ivanković and Haikal Jansen. A very good match with a lot of twists and turns was played by these two strangers. In the end, the nuances decided and those nuances belonged to our tennis player. The match duration 3h, 28min. at 33 degrees Celsius in the shade. It was exhausting to watch and the guys played a really great match.
Ivanković opened the match well and took the lead with 2: 0, but Jansen then made a great series of 5 games in a row. By the end of the set, Ivanković managed to take just one more game.
In the second set again Ivanković goes to the lead of 2:0, Jansen manages to equalize but then Ivanković makes a series to 4:2, Jansen reduces to 4:3 but the next two games our player wins.
The third and deciding set was amazing. Service for service, each player did not allow the service to be taken away. At 7:7, a physiotherapist comes out for the first time, Haikal has cramps in his thigh muscles. With the result 9: 9, the physiotherapist goes out on the court again, this time Ivanković has cramps. Haikal is on the serve, Ivanković returns well twice. Jansen loses the serve and Ivankovic has the service for the match.
With a score of 40:30, he immediately uses the first match ball with ace serve.

"Sorry, I'm barely standing and barely talking. I can't make this statement because I have to get hydrated. The match was too demanding and I have to take a break urgently. said Ivanković"

Lucija Bagarić (SRE) 6 6
Margie Brown (GRU) 1 2

The most convincing play was presented by 19-year-old Lucija Bagarić. Lucia roared like a tornado across the field next to Margie Brown. Again Lucia had terrible punches and serves. The fastest service was 209 kmh and she fired a total of 14 ace of service. The opponent did not have any chances against the young talented Bagarić. Bagaric came to her ninth victory in international tournaments.

"I've never trained better and never harder than now. I really work werry good at the academy, I have a military regime hahaha. It's hot in here and I didn't want to stay on the court for long."

REPORTER : The seventh seed, Andrew Simons is your next opponent. What do you expect?

"Andrew is an experienced tennis player. He plays at home in front of the home crowd. It will be a real challenge for me. I hope Andrew has a bad day and I have a good one haha"

RADIO TELEVIZIJA DOTIVIJA CITY - Sportski program 1

While the church bells are ringing, people hold their heads because of the noise. But the only noise problem in Dotivia.
Dotivia has a lot of other problems and the biggest one is that her athletes are shitty.
A bit of university basketball was a successful bit of chess for Dotivi, but the tennis players we had high hopes for were all bad.
Something will have to change. Maybe the church bells are a warning sign.

If we hadn't had a match like this in the first round, we might not have had anyone in the second round.
Luckily, two of our tennis players met in the first round and settled accounts. Ilonka Plevnik showed her dominance over other players from Dotivi. Although he offered great resistance, Alen Glesnik eventually lost.

Ilonka Plevnik (DOT) 5 6 6
Alen Glesnik (DOT) 7 3 1

What is there to comment on ?! What to say about this ?! How to show the tennis player's head without being wrong.
Simply the character is a potato on the court.

Vilim Gulić (DOT) 3 0
Banko Karma Namgyal (ARK) 6 6

Sandra missed the opportunity in the first set. If she had used it, she would been a winner .But she had to congratulate her opponent. It didn't take long for her to get over this defeat. Today she was seen enjoying shopping around Hamilton. Of course, the question is until when.
If she continues to drop out of the tournament early like this time, she will go bankrupt quickly.

Suárez falls in first round as Sabanero looks to defend title in Hamilton
HAMILTON, Etm.—Perhaps it was fitting that in the first round of the first international tournament in which Aqualians have been entered this year (we still have not been given an explanation for why Aqual has once again skipped the beginning of the season from the notoriously secretive national tennis federation, despite our repeated requests for comment), it was the equally reserved and withdrawn Paula Suárez carrying forth the Aqualian banner in Hamilton.

Davi Malakkar (ACS) 6 6
Paula Suárez (AQL) 3 1

Hopefully, however, her performance is not representative of the Aqualian delegation at large heading into the second round: the twenty-one year old looked like a deer in headlights as she faltered 6-3, 6-1 to Davi Malakkar of Acastanha in just sixty-two minutes on court. She had an uncharacteristically high twenty-two unforced errors, with just five winners to show for it, and struggled especially on serve, with less than half of her first serves in and service points won. She will certainly need to improve on her return to the game heading into Beçonailles and the rest of the tennis season later this year given this slow start.

Now, of course, Aqualias' focus turns to the elephant in the room: Bartolo Sabanero returning to the hot desert clay to defend last year's Hamilton title, the first international title ever won by an Aqualian tennis player. While this year's tournament may not be a grand slam event, it is still an incredibly important one for the twenty-five year old Toboso native, both for defending ranking points and for personal sentimentality. After a bye in the first round as the top seed, Sabanero will face Batera Siwara of Eraman, ranked 138 in the multiverse, who triumphed in the first round today in straight sets. Certainly many hundreds of thousands (at least!) Aqualias across the country will be eagerly tuned in to see Sabanero back in action tomorrow in the Hamilton International.

However, he isn't the only Aqualian tenista taking to the court for the first time this year in Hamilton tomorrow. Twenty-seven seed Matéu Virxiliu and twenty-nine seed Carla Tormo also received byes in the first round, and will be facing off against Gergarian Ralph Henschel and San Ortellio's Luciano Crepaldi, respectively. Although both players showed great promise last season, it may be a challenge for both to compete at the highest level again so soon after having had a prolonged layoff. At just nineteen years of age, Virxiliu has often been temperamental and inconsistent on the international tour, so it remains to be seen whether he will be able to get back into the swing of things quickly, and Tormo, now thirty years old, has been slower in recovery in recent years than she was back in her prime, and getting back to deep runs in the biggest tournaments may prove difficult after such an extended break. Nevertheless, both are feisty players and will no doubt put up a good fight here in the desert.

In addition, who could forget the dynamic duo of Bartolo Sabanero and Qualo Tabos, runners-up from last year's edition of the Hamilton International and frequent viral sensation in Aqual? Unrivalled anywhere in the nation, the sixth-ranked doubles team will face the winner of Eraman's Batera Siwara/Hemat Darwisa and Bollonich wildcards Leighton Fishman/Mercy Henryson in the second round.

Tormo and her doubles partner Lara Navarro, twenty-two, will also go up against Miguel Taberon and Pedro Arrachar of Acastanha in the first round of the doubles draw tomorrow. Tormo and Navarro are always sure to provide an entertaining match, and their complementary, if starkly different, styles are particularly dangerous on clay—certainly ones to watch this season!

If you are watching the matches in Hamilton in-person this week, make sure to stay hydrated! If you are instead watching from the comfort of your own home here in Aqual (or anywhere else in the world with a less punishing climate), we will as always keep you up-to-date with all the happenings on our website and in tomorrow's edition of the Toboso Chronicle.

Weekly Question Time – Folketing (parliament), Main Chamber, 20th of May

The Speaker cleared her throat. Then she spoke, her voice ringing in the grand rotunda.

"That brings us to question fifteen. It is the honourable Comrade Representative Gertrude Molineux of the Moderate Party who seeks to ask. To whom does your question go, comrade?"

Gertrude Molineux got out of her seat and positioned herself in the aisle separating two of the many rows.

"Comrade Speaker, I am Gertrude Molineux, and my question goes to the Prime Minister."

The Speaker made a quick note on a piece of paper and nodded, before proceeding.

"The Presidium recognizes the question, and calls on the Prime Minister to stand, receive it with grace and answer with honesty."

Tangeus Oxwald rose to his feet. He walked from his chair beneath the speaker and situated himself in the middle of the floor, as was customary. He drew breath and spoke.

"I am Tangeus Oxwald, Prime Minister of the Union and humble servant of Rock and People, North, South, East and West. I receive the question with grace, and will answer with honesty."

The Speaker made yet another note. She made eye contact with Molineux and nodded her approval. Molineux bowed to the Speaker, and turned her eyes on the Prime Minister.

"Prime Minister, I take you to be a man of tradition and honour. One who values propriety and the customs of our land. Therefore I believe you would be in agreement with our friends in San Ortelio, that…"

The Speaker banged her gavel multiple times, interrupting Molineux's speech. The room fell silent. The Speaker rose.

"It should not be necessary, but let me remind the good Comrade Representative that the Republic of San Ortelio is not amongst those who have received the Rock of Friendship. They should therefore not be named Friends. Friendship is not something you haphazardly throw around in this Chamber. This is known. Something more suited to their diplomatic status of 'Courteous Non-alignment' would be in line with parliamentary conduct and procedure."

Molineux nodded to the Speaker.

"My apologies, Speaker. I shall strive to be better."

The Speaker nodded approvingly.

"Please proceed."

"Prime Minister, I believe that you would be in agreement with our acquaintances in San Ortelio that the proper use of cutleries is a hallmark of civilization. My question to you, therefore, is: would you eat lasagna with a spoon? Thank you."

Tangeus Oxwald closed his eyes. He knew Molineux would throw this at him. Ever since that time McEnroe had picked up that damned spoon at the reception all those weeks ago. The real question was why the spoon had been there to begin it? Why is a spoon even an alternative when you're serving lasanga? Who set that table? Madness. He was running out of time. He had to answer her. Honestly.

"Comrade Representative, thank you for your question. The truth is that I would not eat lasagna with a spoon. It is not how that dish is supposed to be had. It is not our way. This is known. However, I will not judge the customs of our Friends, because that would indeed be a breach of the Customs of Friendship."

The Speaker pointed her gavel at Molineux.

"First of two retorts, Comrade Representative."

Molineux nodded to the Speaker. She was smiling.

"No retort necessary, Speaker. The Prime Minister has amicably demonstrated the sheer and utter moral degradation plaguing his administration. It reeks with the poisonous relativism so many of us detest, it seeps through the walls of the Meridian, infecting the very fabric of our societal bond…"

The Speaker started tapping the gavel lightly. A warning. Molineux ignored the Speaker and raised her voice even more, in the end almost shouting

"I will therefore content myself with an announcement. There is need of a new force in our Union, a force that will stand up in honour OF OUR VALUES…"

The Speaker started banging the gavel.

"Comrade Representative Molineux, you are out of order!"

But Molineux ignored her once again, and started shouting loudly to get her message across over the increasingly violent banging.

"I HEREBY ANNOUNCE MY RESIGNATION FROM THE MODERATE PARTY, AND THE FORMATION OF A NEW PILLAR OF SOCIETY!! JOIN ME IN THE LEAUGE OF EXTRAORDINARY COUTHNESS AND FOLLOW US IN OUR UNDERTAKING OF PURGING OUR GREAT UNION FROM ANY AFFILIATION WITH DENS OF DEPRAVITY AND DELINQUENCY! GIVE US YOUR VOTES COME SEPTEMBER!

The Speaker was jumping up and down, banging the gavel with a ferocity few had witnessed in the Union's long history, and screaming

"WHERE ARE THE GUARDIANS OF THE PEOPLE'S CHAMBER?!?! OUT, OUT WITH YOU!

While the security staff started lumbering in through a side door, Molineux jumped up on her chair and screamed

"COME JUNE I WILL TRAVEL TO THE GODFORSAKEN LAND OF THE BAGGIES MYSELF! I WILL GATHER EVIDENCE OF THE TRUE WICKEDNESS AND IMPISHNESS OF THESE PHILISTINES, AND I WILL PERSONALLY RETREIVE OUR ROCK OF…"

Tangeus Oxwald sat down in his chair as the five elderly men constituting the Guardians of the People's Chamber wrestled Molineux to the ground. He picked up his phone and looked at the picture his son had sent him earlier that day. His son, smiling, with that new beard even more ragged than before, sharing a meal with his double partner. He looked at the spoonful of lasagna in his hand and shuddered. "It's just wrong," he thought to himself.

THE TRIAL HAS BEGUN FOR BOJANA ŠPANOVIĆ

The trial of tennis player Bojana Španović has begun at the criminal court in Catania. The prosecution read the indictment based on the evidence gathered and the witnesses examined. She is charged with influence by position, corruption, tax evasion, rigging of results, incitement to corruption, attempt to influence witnesses. Bojana Španović pleaded not guilty on all counts.
The total value by which it damaged the state is 8.7 million dalats. Bojana Španović earned a little more than 4 million dalats in her tennis career. And from sponsors just over 2 million dalats. Her property is worth about 10 million dalats and NET WORTH Bojana Španović is 64 million dalats. If proven guilty, Spanovic could go to prison for a minimum of five years and would have to pay the amount she is charged with.
In two days, the defense presents its version of the case.

REMINDER OF THE STORY

Bojana Španović was arrested several months ago in a police operation to combat crime in sports and money laundering. The investigation lasted almost a year. More than 50 people were arrested, 12 of whom were released after no charges could be filed for lack of evidence. Apart from Bojana Španović, some managers of sports clubs were also arrested, the biggest name being the sports director of the women's football champion Dormatisi Blue Stars, Srđan Nejmić, and the father of the young tennis hopeful Alyna Koreleva.
Spanović was Tena's Špiričić's longtime double partner. Together they won 14 tournaments in the country and the region. The investigation also included Tena Špiričić. Tena will have to respond to the court for a hearing and testimony.
It is interesting that Tena's new double partner is Alyna Koreleva, whose father is accused of the same acts as Španović.
