[ACCEPTED] Who Let The Dinos Out?

Postby Singapore no2 » Fri Dec 01, 2017 11:40 pm

[desc] Mesozoic Park, the largest dinosaur zoo in the country, has made the headlines for yet another disastrous dinosaur escape. Apparently, the gate of a Tyrannosaurus Rex pen malfunctioned, giving the horde of formerly captive reptiles a window to flee their enclosure. The liberated T-Rex horde then proceeded to go on a rampage through @@CAPITAL@@, killing hundreds and wrecking city infrastructure. Following the crisis, many citizens are calling for the closure of dinosaur zoos.

[validity] Only valid for nations with dinosaur zoos with all types of dinosaurs

[option] "We cannot allow the zoo to continue like this!" demands @@RANDOMNAME@@, a frustrated cleaner, who has been toiling for hours mopping up innumerable gallons of blood from the streets. "Those dumb behemoths completely leveled several streets, and would have continued if not for a conveniently located fireworks factory nearby. I'm not saying that we should destroy these monstrosities, but we shouldn't be putting them on display and giving them opportunities to run loose. We should store all dinosaurs in hidden government facilities, and have more normal animals in our zoos for once."
[effect] the only way to see a dinosaur is by visiting a history museum

[option] "This is an overreaction," claims @@RANDOMNAME@@, the Head of Scientific Research, who doesn't appear to be remotely disturbed by the high body count. "While there may be some downsides to having dinosaurs on display to the public, the amount of research data that we can draw from them is insurmountable. Locking them up in a secret facility would also harm our studies of their behaviour and interactions with people, as well as waste the resources expended to construct our facilities. Let's keep the dinosaur zoos open."
[effect] citizens live under the constant threat of dinosaur attacks

[option] "Thou must vanquish the greatest foe of humanity!" shrieks Don @@RANDOMLASTNAME@@, a chemically unbalanced elderly man, riding on the back of a trained @@ANIMAL@@. "I hath fought all manner of wild beasts throughout the ages, but these wicked monstrosities are the most wretched and vile. To cleanse thine earth of them is righteous, and it is the will of the heavens to sweep so evil a breed from off the face of the earth. Put an end to the enclosures of sin before they put an end to us."
[effect] @@NAME@@ is responsible for the extinction of dozens of eon old species

Stop writing for free, and start getting Jurassic Park to pay you for script ideas. Focus more on the fireworks factory

Elephants and tigers can escape from poorly-designed zoo enclosures too, and they're pretty dangerous. Why is it only a problem when dinosaurs do it?

Well, not as much as dinosaurs, and it's also somewhat irrelevant to the issue.

Of course, I could have an edit to the issue that removes animals larger than humans from zoos due to their potential threat, and point out how absurd that would be, if required.

I wouldn't do that. This issue is clearly about dinos and the extreme nature of having them in zoos. Normal animals in normal zoos would be for another issue.

Good issue imo.

I like this, it reminds me sort of like that one game where you had a literal dinosaur zoo. While this also sorta does continue the dinosaur issue, however some nations chose the less destructive of the two dinosaur ordeals. Meaning many of those with dinosaurs may just have herbivores, so this issue least in validity does not fit everyone. Only those who chose to get the really dangerous dino's.

However, that is only cause of the description centering around a t-Rex.
