Faction Name: The Agency

Location: Somewhere in the Himalayas

Level of Technology: Most advanced human weapons to date (not the alien tech)

Faction Biography/Lore: The Agency was originally created in secret by the UN Council to combat the rising numbers of metahuman villains. These villains would be bagged, tagged, and be brought to a undisclosed location in the Himalayas. No one knows except the UN Council and those part of the agency. The way they did is they would find a certain weakness and then use it to their advantage as they got the drop on the villain. They would use tranquilizers and do the job clean and during the quiet hours or when no one is looking. However, despite that, there have sightings of men taking down several villains from Vancouver to Buenos Aries, Lisbon to Tokyo, and London to Lesotho. When the Xantheian Invasion happened, the Council allowed The Agency to come out of hiding and help the Justice Queens. In return, The Agency got the technology humanity has to offer, not including the Xantheian technology. They have agreed that to leave that tech until the time is right. The agency has been made offers to work for corporations, just certain governments (coughcoughdamnrussianscoughcough), and so on. However, they remain loyal to just the Council because their services are for the world, not single governments, people, and corporations. They fight to protect everyone from villains.

Population Size: Despite being in the Himalayas, surprisingly, 10 000

Army size: 2 000


Additional information: They have supply crates drop at several locations. Each set is dropped at a different one and it's a different spot every month.

Star is concerned that too many people are making factions that reverse engineer the Xantheian technology. Because of that I feel unwilling to accept this. Could you change that part perhaps? I don't think he'd have a problem with the rest of it.

True, he did say that. But he also said to change it a bit. So that's why I left it with changes. I could take out the tech.

Just saw this, excuse me. Alright, so, basically his enhanced condition plus his superspeed's ability to heal him, plus the fact he [technically] has an "alternate form" he turns into for the Speed Demon, it causes him to be able to run at such speeds. If that makes sense...

Also, yay, I'm accepted. Who's interested in interacting with the Speed Demon and/or Richard Jackson (since they are technically 'different people' due to MPD/DID)?

Isabelle is a sarcastic girl, who doesn't talk about herself much. She can be temperamental, not usually taking well to creeps, stalkers, or the overly talkative—to whom she put coupled with the other two, to tell you how she thinks of them. At the same time, she does wish she could be more "plucky" and "fun-spirited". The friends she does have, she can count with one finger. Some people look down on her general gloominess. She is mean spirited at times, but she is also genuinely kind and finds joy in many things; however, she doesn't show it. She has a decent heart, just a heart that been under one too many wounds to be open anymore. She also has a tough time dealing with the trauma she went through, which is usually a triggering point for Hell Chaser.

Hell Chaser, in and of itself, seems to be a fractured piece of her mind. A coalescing of her more... undesirable qualities. It is the type of emotions she would rather deny: Things like jealousy, anger, hatred. They come together into an alter personality, one that drives her powers and is interconnected to them. He mostly culminates into a vigilante with little care for how he gets the job done.

Biography:
"Her nightmare becomes the nightmare for everyone"

Isabelle used to be a normal girl; used to be a happy go pluck your teeth out kind of girl. Even after a wave of Xantheian energy pierced directly through her, she seemed to be a normal girl with no powers. She lives peacefully with her parents, happily. They were sickeningly sweet parents. Unfortunately, they also had the life expectancy of Disney parents.

A burglary gone wrong left her to watch the shooting of both her parents. He stumbled in a shaken walk as he saw the two dead parents. He was about to make her a third when she reacted stubbornly. In an instant, he seemed to crack under pressure. He gained a splintering headache that even the coroners could not explain. Either way, she was saved.

But oddly enough, she felt solely guilty for his death. She despised the man, but she felt a deep, sickening regret for his death. The thing was, she somehow knew how he died, and that she caused it. This sort of dual emotions seemed to catalyze into two separate entities: (1) Isabelle Destalla, and (2) the repressed feelings of hate and even happiness that he was dead. Those feelings became a being of vigilante justice: Hell Chaser.

Now she is a seemingly lazy college student. Nobody has found out who she really is, or what she tries to deny being her. She has few friends—enough to count in her whole lifetime. She is a sincerely kind but bitter girl. She is overly sarcastic but still finds some joy in the world. She secretly hopes to preserve that hope, but she also feels she will destroy it. At night, she chases fiends and friend to hell.

Powers/Abilities:
  • Dream-eater: Chaser can cause people to, in a large area, fall asleep. Inside this "sleep sphere," everyone is brought into a singular dream, the dream of Hell Chaser, where he reside a major portion of her domain. She has full control of this nightmare space and any injury felt in the dream is felt in reality.

  • Mirrored Reality: Able to travel through reflective surfaces. Works as a way to get from location to location, as long as each location in the real world has some sort of reflection she can travel through.

  • Fear the Dream: Outside of her induced dream, she can create illusory weaponry, such as bolts of energy or swords, that can be indistinguishable from real weapons. The illusions can cause actual injury. From what is understood, the objects are not simple mind tricks, as the objects are real images and not simple hallucination. It is believed that Her magic creates images made of light, and said magic is only effective if the person believes they are solid.

  • Peak Human Condition: Hell Chaser pushes her body to exceed most limits, pushing her body to peak physical condition, but only during her Chaser form.


Weaknesses
  • Split Nature: Chaser is more a part of her mind than anything. It exists as a sort of culmination of her more "negative" characteristics. It and her are separate. But, despite her resistance, Chaser can often take control; usually at night, for example.

  • Cognitive awareness: Specific Weakness to "Fear the Dream". Any illusory objects are only powerful if the user does not realize that the objects are fake.

  • Sustained Dream: Specific weakness to "Dream-eater". Hell Chaser cannot move while inducing the dream. If she notices something in reality that may threaten her, she would have to break the dream to move. At this point, everyone is able to wake up.


Equipment:
The Hell Chaser suit can resist incredible beatings. It is sturdy, able to resist a high level of force without damaging the user. The cape itself can expand to allow a certain level of hovering. It is unclear as to whether the suit is a part of her body when in Hell Chaser and is believed that the mask cannot even be removed. "What nightmare could even live under the mask?" some have asked.

Name: Marvin "Mars" Asarin

Personality: Mars was once sullen and insulated. He never enjoyed being around people and would barely make eye contact at times, much preferring his machines. However, he has mellowed in the past few years and is more amiable and willing to socialize and have fun. However he still has issues with crowds and uses his machines to cope.

Biography:
Marvin "Mars" Asarin was the prodigal son of two well known mechanical engineers who for years had made ground breaking advancements in medical and military technology. Marvin proved to share his parents' genius but Marvin's was to a whole different level. Marvin was speaking and reading just four weeks after birth. His parents loved his child greatly, but they soon realized that he was more than human. They took him to a DNA specialist who was a friend of theirs and soon they learned that his DNA showed that he was a mutant. That became even more clear when Marvin's second ability showed itself as Marvin's parents waked in on a number of of their house hold appliances moving around Marvin's room in a sort of parade as the young child laughed in amusement.

Marvin's parents raised him as best they could considering his unique circumstances, and Marvin had a happy childhood for a number of years, though it was far from normal. Marvin's best friends were machines and his true passion was space. Even from a young age Marvin dreamed of building his own rocket and going into space. He was working on his plan for this rocket when he was 9 years old, but the parts were beyond his ability to obtain, and his parents discouraged this project, saying it was far too dangerous for a child. Marvin became quite annoyed at how protective his parents had become of him and ran away from them the night they told him he could not build his rocket. Soon however Marvin began to feel regret and returned home, Only to find both his parents dead from gun shot wounds in the living room.

What Marvin didn't know was that his parents had been protecting him from a scientist who had contacted them and wanted to study Marvin for "research" purposes. They had said no repeatedly and were afraid that the scientist would try to take Marvin by force.

Marvin was taken in by his grandparents after that fateful day, and now he continues to search for his parents' killers but has found nothing. Marvin now goes by the name Mars and has taken to fighting crime in his home of Seattle. He feels guilty for the death of his parents, and has taken to crime fighting to try to redeem himself. He does not fight alone, as he fights along his mechanical invention Rocket. Rocket is a human sized mechanical android with sentience and human level intelligence. Together, Rocket and Mars fought crime across the city of Seattle together.

They continued their quest to fight crime until Mars eventually met Kiris, an alien with the unique ability to mimic dragons. They didn't exactly get a long at first. Mars was distant and standoffish while Kiris was naive and sensitive. However, Kiris began to grow on him, bringing him out of his shell and getting him to open up about his past. She was slowly healing him of his emotional wounds and the two grew close. They eventually decided to team up, fighting crime together rather than separately.

Eventually the two formed a romantic relationship and settled down with an apartment of their own and Kiris convinced Mars to return to school. In addition to patrolling the streets as "Dragon Knight" he is seeking multiple doctoral degrees and attempting to successfully create and normalize nuclear fusion to provide world wide clean energy. He is also quite interested in studying teleportation and space travel.


Powers/Abilities:

  • Mechs: Mars has numerous mech suits ready for battle that provide him increased speed, strength, and durability, as well as numerous weapons. Most notably there is Rocket and his current suit, Dragon Knight
  • Dem Brains: Mars has unprecedented intellect, and can process information at extraordinary rates. He is functionally able to control his brain like a machine, making multi tasking a natural art.
  • Machine Master Mars can manipulate both simple and complex machines, controlling them remotely and controlling their functions.


Weaknesses
  • Hacking: The mainframe of his suit can be hacked if you're good enough.
  • Physical Strength Physically, Mars is another average Joe, even if in good shape. Get him out his machines and its clobbering time.
  • Line of sight: His machine manipulation requires a line of site with the machine he controlling


Equipment: Numerous weapons and mech suits as well as a tool kit and a highly advanced cell phone.

Biography:
Jonathan parents both worked in jobs that were a little unusual, his mother worked as a bounty hunter, recovering ancient and mystical objects and his father was an the assistant of an occultist. Their exposure to the supernatural gave Jonathan what their parents considered their two "gifts" to his son and constantly reminded him about that.

To Jonathan his "gifts" were an annoyance to him, he just wanted to have a quiet life, but his parents line of job couldnt permit him that, there were moments in his childhood where strange beings or armed men would try to enter the house and his mother would grab him and lock him in his room, where they had to move to a different parts of the city for a few days or weeks, where his parents told him not to take detours on his way home and not to talk with anyone in the street after school. These incidents made Jonathan fear that at any moments time, someone could try to take his life so he had to be prepared.

He asked his mother to train him in martial arts and markmanship and his father on how to deal with demons and ghosts, even if it was the basics it was better than nothing, he also trained his abilities to gain knowledge of its limitations, all this training came to bear results one day when he was home alone, someone had entered the house, even if he couldnt detect who he was, Jonathan knew that it couldnt be any one of his parents, in the darkness of the house he got close enough to see the man, who was rumaging the living room as if looking for something and he shot him with his power in the leg, the man gave a scream and dropped himself into the floor, where Jonathan incapacitated him with a punch a called the police, after that he felt confident enought in his ability to protect himself that he told his parents he was moving out.

Jonathan now works night shift as a guard in a warehouse of some pharmaceutical company and lives in a small apartment, he has meet many people that have abilities and he usually isnt fond of them, after all they are usually trying to steal whatever there is at the warehouse.


Powers/Abilities:
  • Nail bullets: Jonathan can spin his nails and use them as bullets as well as using them as a (not very efficient) drill in close range
  • Aura eyes: When Jonathan uses his ability walls and floors will become semitransparent and people on the other side will be seen as glowing human shaped blue silhouettes representing their aura, it has a range of 50m
  • Paranoia: Jonathan´s paranoia causes him to have an escape plan most of the time and makes him calm during dangerous situations if he has a plan.
  • Training: Due to the training he recieved from his parents Jonathan knows a bit of CQC and how to deal with the most common supernatural creatures

    • Nervousness: Jonathan usually has a guideline or plan to follow for every situation, so when he is caught completly by surprise he tends to act clumsily and doesnt think straight
    • Paranoia: Jonathan is a very secretive person, doesnt like to trust others out of fear and usually thinks they´ll backstab him given the chance.

Biography:

Born in Brooklyn, Robert never met his father which was said to died overseas during tours in Iraq, as what his mother always said. Not that he found anything strange with that, as there was always money sent every month from an anonymous benefactor. And not just that, but sometimes, every three months, her mother met a mysterious man who seemed to never grew old and always had a date with him for a full week, trusting him under the care of that man's friends, who taught Robert about vampire, weirdly.

Robert experienced changes when he fought off three bullies on senior high school because well...he's handsome and one of the bully's girlfriend decided to had an affair with him, with increased strength. While the other two ran, the last one was left unconscious and he suddenly felt a thirst for blood, and sucked the blood of the boy until he died. Horrified, he ran away to his home.

He met the man, who revealed himself as his father and he revealed that he is a vampire and he is a dhampir, mix of human and vampire. Before long, he was taught the vampirism and how to control his powers, and thirst. His vampire father has no interest on turning his son into a full-fledged vampire, since he saw himself before turned into vampire in him. His mother was said to fled the city with his father shortly after the period of training, and Robert was left with a trust fund. Instead of continuing to college, he decided to redeemed himself and found a way to be good in church, learned how to be a priest in the process.

Beside priest training, he entered the world of underground fighting, using his powers and learned few martial arts moves, gained the title "Giant" for his strength. At the same time, he utilized the trust fund to buy some metalworks and silvers. He enlisted the aid of a blacksmith to made him a silver sword and enlisted the aid of a weaponmaker via his underworld connections to build the gun he needed. During the invasion by alien force, he found himself pitted against a vampire in the middle of the invasion and he dispatched him quite easily. Why a vampire able to found him is unknown to him, but he felt a dark force beneath him...

Finding himself with a new power, newfound mission, and a sense of justice to find the roots of the problem, he decided to donned himself a superhero career with equipment from church and the weapons he has...



Powers/Abilities:
  • Superhuman Strength: Slightly stronger than normal humans but still slightly weaker than normal vampire, Robert possessed a superhuman strength.
  • Superhuman Agility (Reflexes, Dexterity, Speed): Same as above, except his speed is comparable to that of a normal vampire, while higher than normal humans at the same time.
  • Swordmanship Quite a skilled swordsman, trained with local medieval club but not the best of it.
  • Marksmanship: Good marksmanship, improved in the middle of that alien invasion.
  • Hand-to-hand combat As skilled as an amateur MMA fighter.


Weaknesses
  • Vampire Weaknesses Despite only possessing half of the vampire weaknesses, he stillhas the weaknesses, only slightly though. Sunlight won't harm him but smokes will appears as if he was burned by fire but still managed to walk, same with UV light. Holy water and cross won't harm him much since he still part-human.
  • Blood Thirst: Inability to control thirst of blood for a period.
  • Twisted Sense of Justice As mentioned in the personality, as far as he concerns, vampire is his only enemy, and the others (aliens, superhumans, normal criminals) beneath his concerns...for now


Equipment:
-Sword made of melted silver
-Handgun, modified with ultraviolet lights and normal bullets, sadly (silver bullet is expensive)
-Cross
-Holy water
-Smartphone

Likes: Coffee, 90's songs.

Race/Species: Human/Dark One hybrid

Appearance: Something like this, or this depending on how much control she can keep.

Personality: Jasmine is, on the surface, a fairly normal teenaged girl. Quiet and reserved, she generally speaks little and only when she has something to say. At the same time, she is a good listener and will quite happily nod along to someone who is talking at her for hours if need be. She enjoys company where she can get it and has a sharp wit, if someone can coax her out of her shell, which is accompanied by a keen mind and an excellent memory.

At the same time, she is a roiling tumult of emotions on the inside. Although she has built walls to hide it, she can alternate from over-joyous excitement to blinding rage to deep depression over the span of a single conversation. The fact that a Dark One was partially summoned into existence in her body has only intensified this and has added an alien dimension to her thinking which can lead to her seeming overly enigmatic at times. Both of these hidden facets are things which she hates with a passion and does her best to brick away.

Biography: Jasmine's life was never hard. Born into a middle-class family, she shifted between living with her father and her mother after they broke up and hardly noticed that they hated each other. She went to a decent school and did alright in her classes, her teachers praising her for her attentiveness in class and her willingness to make the effort to understand difficult concepts.

When she was thirteen, things began to go downhill. Her father's slow slide into alcoholism after his move to America had accelerated and when she was living with him, he would beat her. She did her best to separate this from her life outside of the home, and her grades remained high, but she began to detach from the real world. Reading the works of H.P. Lovecraft, she found heroes who she could relate with: people battling unknowable and terrifyingly powerful entities. In many ways, she saw a parallel between those entities and her own father and, as she retreated further into her books, she became more and interested in the power of words and symbols in the mythology.

It was at this point that she discovered the Cult of Steve. Although she was somewhat suspect of their legitimacy at first, she eventually joined and became further and further entwined with the group. Even when she returned to England to live with her mother, she kept close ties with the group and made semi-regular visits to America to meet up with them and share news and information. The group rapidly became her closest friends.

Once she was eighteen, she moved to America permanently and joined the group on a full-time basis. Discovering a method of summoning a Dark One into being, Jasmine was delighted and volunteered to act as the conduit through which to summon Steve. So it was that she ended up in a school basement, covered in daubed sigils and in the middle of a chalk circle which burned the eye to look at, chanting near-impossible words as clearly as she could.

Perhaps it was her incorrect pronunciation of Xth'cltic. Perhaps it was a flaw in the magic circle. Either way, they failed to summon Steve. Instead, they shaved off a portion of his being and implanted it in the conduit - Jasmine. Her mind shattered by the utterly alien nature of the being she'd welcomed into her soul with open arms, Jasmine fell into a coma and was rushed to the hospital where she lay until a Xantheian pulse further interfered with her body, allowing it to adapt to the alien intelligence residing within and bringing Jasmine out of her coma.

Stumbling from the hospital, Jasmine now had to adapt to her new life, her new body. Making her way from city to city, never putting down roots, she would seek out those knowledgeable about the Dark Ones and ask them for any information she could find on her condition. Aiming to find a way of reversing her condition, Jasmine fell deeper and deeper into depression as it became less and less likely that a cure would be found. Which brings us up to today...

Powers/Abilities:

  • Temptation: Jasmine can manipulate the minds of others to create mental images of them committing one of the Seven Deadly Sins. These can range, depending on the level of concentration she is willing to put into it, from simply an image all the way through to an irresistible compulsion to commit the sin.
  • Lovecraftian Physiology: Simply put, Jasmine is no longer Human. Her body is more resilient to physical attacks, partly due to its semi-amorphous nature, and is stronger than she would be normally. She can change her appearance to a certain degree, produce new appendages near-endlessly and can change the nature of her body, turning bones into tentacles or making her blood acidic for example.
  • Shadow Manipulation: Jasmine has the ability to manipulate shadows and can turn them into almost anything she desires, from clothes of the blackest night to blades apparently made of the void to hounds blacker than the void between stars.
  • Horror Inducement: Jasmine is, because of her utterly alien nature, preternaturally horrifying to almost all living creatures. This starts as a measure of distrust around her, but when focused it can reach debilitating levels, potentially even inducing heart attacks or strokes.
  • Alien Mentality: Because Jasmine's mind is not fully human anymore, illusions, telepathy and such can have unpredictable effects. A mind-reader might go insane trying to skim her surface thoughts or else might gain insight into her past. Someone trying to create a calming illusion might create a swarm of enormous hornets or they might create a tree in full bloom, complete with sound scent and touch. The list goes on and on.


Weaknesses
  • Lack of Control: Although Jasmine can determine when she will use her powers, it is far harder for her to control when she won't use them. People talking with her might notice her facial features slowly shifting mid-conversation or an odd writhing in her midriff as if there were dozens of tentacles there. At the same time, they might notice the shadows in the vicinity forming into humanoid things and chanting unpronounceable words or they might even have the compulsion to kill her and feast on her flesh.
  • Photo-sensitivity: As a part of her alien heritage, Jasmine is sensitive to light. Although she will rarely be harmed, even by sunlight, light of any form reduces the grip she has on her own abilities and makes them more likely to manifest in powerful and unpredictable ways and makes her conscious manifestations weaker and more likely to slip.
  • Mental Stress: Simply put, Jasmine's mind is currently, more-or-less human. The fact that she is partly Dark One is as horrifying for her as it is for other people and embracing that and using her powers is an alien sensation for her mind. As such, she is not the most balanced of individuals and this will only get worse as she uses her powers more and more.


Equipment: A hospital gown, but that's it.

Likes: Books, tea, coffee, horror (as a genre), sanity, safety
Dislikes: Cults, idiocy, risks, alcohol

Personality: Joseph is, first of all, deeply religious and a devout follower of the Christian faith - his family was religious and he grew up in their path, he was a monk for many years, too. Following the Bible and the Ten Commandments as law, he is also generous, honest and avoids killing at any circumstance. However, he is also extremely hostile to anyone whom he sees as evil, and lives on the goal of purifying Earth from this menace.

Biography: (A description of your character. Please make this as detailed as possible, paint me a picture from birth to now. This is the most important part of your application and, if you don't have an RP sample, will let me know if you're a good enough writer. I won't put a minimum length, but please do tell me all about your character.)

Powers/Abilities:
  • Divine Connection: According to Joseph, he is the chosen modern crusader of the Christian God and is imbued with the power granted to him from the heavens to accomplish his task of ridding the world of evil - however, it's not clear if that is actually the case or if it's a byproduct of his metahuman abilities. Divine or not, the White Crusader is thus proficient in Holy Magic - a form of magic manifested from divine sources. His primary application of this ability is healing and protection - recovery from wounds, illnesses, temporary regeneration or even resurrection, as well as creating shields and magical armor - but due to magic being such a versatile tool, the applications are almost limitless.


Weaknesses
  • Physical Condition: Though Joseph is rather strong and trained for a human even without using his magic, he is still a creature of bone and flesh without any superhuman or even peak human physicals. While he can use divine magic to enhance his strength if he needs to, bullets, lasers and trucks will still kill him.
  • Mana: Like all forms of energy, divine power has a limit - a limit of the amount of energy he can spend before exhaustion. That's why he can't just revive an entire planet or outright destroy one - it's just too taxing. Not yet, anyway.


Equipment: White Crusader Armor - As the White Crusader, Joseph wears reinforced steel plate armor for protection, and is also equipped with a sword and shield to use in combat - both the weapons and the armor are embedded with some of his divine energy, making them tougher and lighter than normal. After many years of training, Joseph is now extremely proficient in using these weapons in hand-to-hand combat.

Joseph also uses a bicycle for travel across the countryside, or takes a train if he wants to go farther.

Likes: Football, Eurovision (he's from Austria, after all), Christianity, good people in general.
Dislikes: Evil in general, also hardcore atheists and butter. No reason.

Is it alright if I make a faction app? I plan to RP as Richard / the Speed Demon, yes, but this faction will be a separate thing with its own characters [do I have to app faction characters? Feel like that'll get tedious after a while].
