Personality: Paranoid, very cautious of his surroundings, gets nervous when he has to improvise, doesnt like to be the spotlight, feigns calmness and doesnt like to show anger, he will do anything to ensure that his status quo remains the same

Biography:
Jonathan parents both worked in jobs that were a little unusual, his mother worked as a bounty hunter, recovering ancient and mystical objects and his father was an the assistant of an occultist. Their exposure to the supernatural gave Jonathan what their parents considered their two "gifts" to his son and constantly reminded him about that.

To Jonathan his "gifts" were an annoyance to him, he just wanted to have a quiet life, but his parents line of job couldnt permit him that, there were moments in his childhood where strange beings or armed men would try to enter the house and his mother would grab him and lock him in his room, where they had to move to a different parts of the city for a few days or weeks, where his parents told him not to take detours on his way home and not to talk with anyone in the street after school. These incidents made Jonathan fear that at any moments time, someone could try to take his life so he had to be prepared.

He asked his mother to train him in martial arts and markmanship and his father on how to deal with demons and ghosts, even if it was the basics it was better than nothing, he also trained his abilities to gain knowledge of its limitations, all this training came to bear results one day when he was home alone, someone had entered the house, even if he couldnt detect who he was, Jonathan knew that it couldnt be any one of his parents, in the darkness of the house he got close enough to see the man, who was rumaging the living room as if looking for something and he shot him with his power in the leg, the man gave a scream and dropped himself into the floor, where Jonathan incapacitated him with a punch a called the police, after that he felt confident enought in his ability to protect himself that he told his parents he was moving out.

On the Xantheians invasion, Jonathan was on Pandora city where he saw the villians taking over the city in what could only be described as chaos, Jonathan managed to survive the invasion thanks to his powers and the help of heroes such as the Justice Queens who managed to repel back the Xantheians, but Jonathan´s mother who had been on Silver city at the time of the Invasion was nowhere to be found, Jonathan moved there in hopes of finding something about her, he works night shift as a guard of a warehouse owned by a very large pharmaceutical company, he has met many people with abilities whom he is not very fond of since the majority of the time the meets someone with powers they are burglars trying to rob whatever there is at the warehouse.

Powers/Abilities:

• Nail bullets: Jonathan can spin his nails and use them as bullets as well as using them as a (not very efficient) drill in close range
• Aura eyes: When Jonathan uses his ability walls and floors will become semitransparent and people on the other side will be seen as glowing human shaped blue silhouettes representing their aura, it has a range of 50m
• Paranoia: Jonathan´s paranoia causes him to have an escape plan most of the time and makes him calm during dangerous situations if he has a plan.
• Training: Due to the training he recieved from his parents Jonathan knows a bit of CQC and how to deal with the most common supernatural creatures

  • Nervousness: Jonathan usually has a guideline or plan to follow for every situation, so when he is caught completly by surprise he tends to act clumsily and doesnt think straight
  • Paranoia: Jonathan is a very secretive person, doesnt like to trust others out of fear and usually thinks they´ll backstab him given the chance.

Faction Name: The Cult of Llok, also known as the Cult of Steve.

Location: A hidden sub-basement beneath the Rhode Island school f design, which is near the former site of HP Lovecrafts home.

Level of Technology: Normal, above average though compared to most humans. some of their tech is combined with amgic, nothing impressive yet.

Faction Biography/Lore: This is a cult that has survived throughout the centuries, barely. Once (relatively) shortly after the coming and going of the Xantheians, The group that would become the Cult of Llok was created when Dark one first appeared on this world. The first dark ones were cruel malicious beings who were amused by these mortal ants. It pleased them that they were thought of as gods, but soon enough they got bored and left returning only occasionally. However during one of these occasional visits, one of the Dark Ones happened upon HP Lovecraft who was writing a story at the time, one of his first. The being who met Lovecraft was intrigued by what the author wrote. It turned out that Lovecraft was a distant descendant of a Dark One, and had a slight Telepathic link with the Dark One’s home dimension.

It was only after the death of Lovecraft in 1937 that the Cult of Steve was formed, after the Original cult disbanded after the author’s death. While the Authors house was treated as a landmark, several members of the group still visited the house via a hidden passage that led into an equally hidden sub basement, where the rituals and the like performed by the group would take place. The cult eventually started worshiping an entity that was recorded in Lovecraft's personal journal, Llok, also known as Steve. They were able to gain some notoriety, until people who worked against them got the House moved and the Sub basement was covered over and nearly forgotten in 1959.

This was until a group of kids were exploring the Brown campus together, they had met recently. they discovered the Basement and were intrigued by what lay within for multiple reasons. They had been growing until 2013 and 2014 when they started experimenting with the rituals withing Lovecraft's journal. One of the kids who had been the conduit fell into a coma and most of the group fled the basement and transferred to a different College/university. The ritual went haywire because of the activation of the Xantheian mutagen which reacted badly with the ritual in the students body. Since then the group has been rather low key, until they tried to summon Steve again. (which will happen IC)

Population Size:[/box] 10 or so.

Army size: 10 ish, though one of the members can Summon Dark Horrors from the home dimension of Steve.

Roderick Pembridge: defacto leader No powers but does have above average knowledge of the occult and things of alien origin.
Tasha North: Tech manipulator, resident geek and tech expert for the group.
Ryan Fairbanks: Charismatic, and his power of Enhanced charisma only adds on to it. He acts as the groups representative. He mainly studies thelaw, among other things. He is also the one who gets the group members out of trouble for the most part.
Kandace Kandy Dunwich: Her parents are from England and she was born there but was brought here. She is a descendant of the Dark Ones, this enables her to summon lesser dog like beings from that home dimension.

Name: Richard Jackson

Superhero Name: Speed Demon

Appearance: Richard Jackson. Speed Demon.

Personality: Richard Jackson suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder. Also known as Multiple Personality Disorder, it basically means Jackson and his superhero counterpart are literally two people. Richard Jackson's personality is somewhat intelligent, he's also kind and caring and protective of friends. He also loves to exercise. However, his counterpart, Speed Demon, sometimes going by the name 'Demon', is cruel, sadistic and callous. Speed Demon doesn't care about collateral damage as long as the villain gets taken down.

Biography: Richard Jackson grew up in a hard life. He was brutally abused by his drunken father even from the age of three. His mother seemed to be distraught or disacknowledge his existence unless he achieved something worth noting; such as getting a good grade or protecting his friends from harm. His father never seemed to be proud of him under any circumstance. This, coupled with the fact that most jocks and others who played sports like he did, hated him. They hated him because he'd defend the 'little guy' and those of the unpopular crowd, despite his being fit and popular among some. Jackson eventually couldn't put up with the abuse. His mind... fractured into two pieces. His default personality that he's always had remained on the surface, but buried deep within was another personality. Another version of himself that he kept locked away.

That is until he discovered his powers. One day, he somehow discovered his powers. They were triggered by his rage. However, they could also be triggered at least somewhat at will. His powers allowed him to superspeed to save people and do nice things for people. At first, without a costume, as he moved so fast that cameras couldn't get a good picture or video of him anyways, even if slowed down. However, eventually, something snapped as his father had killed his mother while he was out being a hero. Something deep and primal. Jackson, his primary personality forgot he had powers. And it awakened the Speed Demon. The Speed Demon's full powers activated upon being freed. And he was mad. After killing Jackson's father, the Speed Demon began using his full powers to murder every criminal he came across. Robbers, murderers, rapists, supervillains and otherwise. If they were a criminal, they would die a bloody death if the Speed Demon had a say.

The Speed Demon seemed to be made of fire and lightning, able to move at speeds so fast he looked like a comet on the ground. The Speed Demon left a trail of fire and death wherever he went. Sometimes hostages were killed in the progress, or innocents; the Speed Demon didn't care. As long as the criminal died, too, any amount of collateral was deemed 'acceptable'. The Speed Demon, to this day, haunts the nightmares of many criminals who have somehow survived his wrath and have lived to tell the tale.

Powers/Abilities:

• Enhanced Speed: When enraged enough, or when the Speed Demon takes control, he switches to a form which allows him to move at speeds that are almost immeasurable. Most speed measurement systems say he's able to go above Mach 10 and even beyond. A side effect of his high speed is he also heals pretty fast.
• Pyrokinesis: When the Speed Demon isn't speeding around at extremely high speeds, he has the apparent ability to, along with his form, summon fire at a whim as well as bend fire to his command.
• Enhanced Condition: The Speed Demon and even in his default form Jackson have somewhat of an enhanced physical condition; they are extremely strong, bordering on peak human strength, among other things that essentially make them superhuman.

Weaknesses:

• Overcharge: If the Speed Demon gets too riled up or stressed, he'll 'burn out'. Essentially, he'll release a small explosion [5 feet around him] and revert to Jackson as well as going unconscious. This, of course, is hard to accomplish.
• Anything Water: The Speed Demon's fiery attributes mean that he can run on water, sure, but if you knock him into water, get him someplace where he's being subjected to too much water, etc. he loses his fire. That doesn't stop his speed, of course, but it does mean he can't use his fire powers.
• Slippery Surfaces: If a surface is slippery enough, more so than ice, then the Speed Demon can't stop and speeds too much, or he ends up being unable to use his speed. Combine that with the above weakness and you essentially render him useless.

Equipment: N/A.

Likes: As Jackson; lifting weights, helping people, music, Italian food. As Speed Demon; slaughtering criminals, killing, fire, killing, lightning, more killing, and speeding beyond the speed limit.
Dislikes: As Jackson; villains, bad people, unhealthy food, selfish people. As Speed Demon; anything or anyone that prevents him from doing as he pleases.

Additional Information: The Speed Demon's transformation process tends to be painful. Bursting into flames and becoming a demonic-looking entity of pure fire, lightning and speed with a human skeleton tends to do that, though.

My character can be viewed as an anti-villain type superhero. He doesn't give a shit what's in his way or who gets hurt or killed in the process, as long as he ends up killing the bad guy/supervillain/criminal.

Well it says that he has enchanced condtion which gives him super reflexes/strenght but I dont know how strong is a peak human, maybe he has a "shield" protecting him from friction like the flash

I was just wondering, as i wanted The Dark Ones to be largely magical, but take influences from technology.
