Well, sport teams are like religion. And this is why I'm not really a 'rabid fan' of any team. I understand perfectly. I myself am a Packer fan. Why? Because I like the teams ideals and that they focus more on the sport. And because my father was, and my grandfather was, and so I have grown up rooting for them. Alot like religion.

But, is there a point? Absolutly not. And don't even bother pretending there is one. But it's fun. But I do not live FOR football. It is a part of life, but it is not life.

However, I can see football. I can play football. I can understand football.

Why should I root for a God when there is no sport being played other than that of life? Which seems to function perfectly well without prayer, as evidence of billions of years of evolution. So why cheer? Because it's fun? Nope. I cheer because I like the sport. The team is incedental. The sport is what matters. Life is what matters. Not the cheering. Not the teams.

Wait, you like their ideals? Why do you like their ideals over those of other teams? According to your philosophy, it's pointless.

And we Pray because we believe that it places us closer to God, like getting front row tickets. And it doesn't have to be a sporting event, it could be a ballet, or an opera, or even a rock concert. Anything that fulfills one's Spiritual Needs.

Well, yes. They play solid football without alot of gimmicks. And it is pointless. I have time for pointless activities as much as the next person. And the fact is that I like watching any good game. Be it Basketball, Starcraft, Chess, football, hockey, soccer (futbol), Lacrosse, Checkers, Battleship, Xbox, PlayStation, Wii.

It is not the team that matters to me. It is the fact that a game is being played.
