Season 2231

Liga Starblaydia
Image

Featured Team: Iskara Daii

The double-winning dominance of the Daii means that Starblaydia's most famous team means that they're the obvious tip for the top this season - and indeed any season. The one-time Champions' League winners before the UICA had even begun are still dining out on their once world-beating success, but stick your money on them and you're unlikely to do too far wrong.

16 Basian Valley 30 4 7 19 29 64 -35 19 Relegated

In the end it's a relative canter for Tele to win their first title in years, nine points from the Daii - who have to rely on goal difference to retain their place in the Champions' Cup. Had it not been for their own performances last time out, Liga Starblaydia may not have had the coefficient to allow two entries, meaning the Daii have benefited from their own hard work in the Champions' Cup. The three promoted teams, however, go straight back down again, with Basian Valley being particularly awful.

Featured Team: Tabeck Cefn Druids

Tabeck's second side are the tip for the title in Liga 2, as with a fresh new coat of funky paint thanks to their latest sponsorship money from one of Starblaydia's largest betting companies, pointing the boys and girls at ediraf to make them something rather special and eyecatching. Of the two Tabeck sides they're showing the most promise, and their cross-town Bekkside rivals of Tabeck FC, who used to be Cup specialists, are slipping away from them for the first time in living memory.

16 Penningworth Rorçn 30 4 9 17 18 44 -26 21 Relegated

Our featured Druids miss out on the title by goal difference as the Vics get themselves up to Liga Starblaydia as champions. Hecia, too, prove themselves the pride of Nemya and join the both of them. Urjali and Penningworth's second team drop straight back down to Liga 3, dragging the formerly-mighty FC Farça down with them. Sciimtos Stars performed well, however, with an unexpected top-of-the-bottom half performance.

Featured Team: Viculus Miners

There are a few teams who are looking to take the title, most notably the relegated teams from last time around in the form of both Jhanna United and, our pick, the Viculus Miners. The Miners are a working class team of long standing, with a solid blue collar support that roars them on every week. The days of fellas coming out the mines with coal still on their faces to stand behind the home goal are long gone, reflected in their main sponsor, Uratek, one of Starblaydia's top three Uranium mining companies, also being one of the richest high-tech companies in the region.

15 Cedrus Islanders 30 7 9 14 34 51 -17 30
16 Tournetas 30 5 8 17 22 39 -17 23

Finally, our featured team makes the final hurdle and tops the league! Not only do the Druids make it up to Liga 2, but also the once-great Jhanna United make it out of the basement, too. Poor, poor Tournetas, though, rock bottom of the Liga Starblaydia professional pyramid for the second time in a row. Someone really needs to take them over and inject them with some fresh capital, fresh ideas and fresh results.

Melbergia (MEL) Qualifiers
Champions' Cup 70: Beltian Coast
Globe Cup 67: Hálsrath Warriors FC, Athletic Portvestir, Brunta Harriers

Beltian Coast take the title in the inaugural season of the Melbergian FA Premiership, the newly branded and structured format for top level club football in Melbergia.

This first season will largely be remembered for Athletic Portvestir throwing away the title in the last few games of the season having lead throughout. A 1-1 draw with bottom-placed FC Tonnberg seemed to be the turning point, and Beltian Coast seized upon the opportunity.

The end of this season marks Melbergia's first entrants into international club competition. Four sides go out into the unknown.

2039-40 Darmeni Football Season: Season Review
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3A | Part 3B | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6

Up, Down and then back Up again!
Year Pos Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts
2037-38: 2 30 19 3 8 53 31 +22 60
2038-39: 15 28 10 8 10 38 33 +5 38
2039-40: 1 27 17 5 5 50 28 +22 56
Chippewa Valley United FC have been on a roller coaster in Series A, finishing second in 2037-38, fifteenth last season, and denying MTK Kingsville their fourth straight title by claiming it themselves this season. Laoghaire Lestrange, who many had wanted out as owner of the club after last season, now looks like a genius for hiring Rabbie Travers to be the club's new manager. The right side of the midfield, consisting of Nataniel Herschel at right-center and Virgil Orenstein at right-mid, both 18 years old, played a huge part in United's success, combining for 18 of the club's 50 goals. They will be players to watch as the club tries to go further in the Champions' Cup than MTK has been able to do over any of the past three seasons.

Familiar Faces
Darmen's competitors in the Globe Cup are all familiar faces to UICA viewers. Sterling City United, finishing as Series A runners-up for the second year in a row are hungry to further entrench their status as a top club in Darmen, something many of the older fans will be skeptical about. Tempala United Saints appeared in the Globe Cup during the 2037-38 season, reaching the Globe Cup Play-off Round where they were knocked-out by Colonial Sile of Vilita. And finally, the aforementioned MTK Kingsville. This is the first season where they'll be starting international competition directly in the Globe Cup, and will certainly be looking to make a deep run to make up for the lack of a title this season.

So long Suckers!
Poor Darmen City United. Fifth place last season, dead last this year. Also out of Series A are the Vogler City Force and Yalvore United. The Force have consistently been a mid-table team, while Yalvore have always flirted with relegation but usually found a way to avoid relegation even if just by two points like they did last season.

Here come the Replacements
Cadott United return to the top flight after just a single season away. Many are saying that the club is likely to become a "yo-yo" team. We'll see. Also a potential candidate to become a "yo-yo" club is Upper Township FC, who just like Cadott return to Series A after only one season in the second division.

And that brings us to the third promoted side. Denying Austin FC a chance to return to Series A (after, you guessed it, only a single season!), Scott City FC return to the first division of football for the first time since 2015. With a new ownership group in place, which will see the club transition form their traditional colors of blue and red to sky blue and white, Scott City FC has been tabbed as a potential top ten team for next season.

All three sides: Cadott, Upper Township and Scott City, will represent Darmen in the Series B Champions' Cup.

Drink this Cup
Past National Cup Finals
Date Champion Runners-up Score
5/30/2037 Lynx FC Tempala United Saints 2–2 (2–2 AET) (4–3 pen.)
5/8/2038 Olympique Chuckio Johnho United 3–1
6/4/2039 Tempala United Saints OGC Nauti 1–0
5/19/2040 Romanopolis United Olympique Chuckio 1–0
Romanopolis United, in their first National Cup appearance, took the victory over Olympique Chuckio (themselves Cup champions just two seasons earlier) by a single goal from Georgie Ryley in the 33rd minute. Romanopolis will represent Darmen in the Cygnus Cup, a competition the Saints had some success in this season, reaching the Round of Sixteen before being defeated by Deportivo Junín in front of a hostile crowd at the Estadio 8 de Octubre.

Dominant Youth
Royal PFC U-19 have yet to finish anywhere else but first in the Youth League (to be renamed Series Y next season), and will once again participate in the Champions' Path of the UICA Youth Cup. With five new youth teams joining the league next season, things will surely be different in the league standings. Right?

Club of the Year Award
Making its second appearance, the Club of the Year Award has been handed out once more, this time to Sportklub Palerma. Sportklub will be nominated by the Darmeni Football Association for possible participation in the Vilitan Cove Invitational tournament.

Series B Champions' Cup: Cadott United, Upper Township FC, Scott City FC
Youth Cup: Royal PFC U-19

Darmen (DAR) final site bids
Cygnus Cup: King's Park, Scott City (capacity 35,000)
With the bid submitted this time on fire proof and ink-spill resistant paper, to avoid any unfortunate accidents, the home of Royal PFC will attempt once more to host the final of the Cygnus Cup. If selected as host, it has been confirmed that Scott City will organize a Festival of Football History to run in tandem with the main event. What this Festival will actually entail is anyone's guess. Ours? A bunch of old blokes from various Football Historical Societies getting together for some cocktails and falling asleep in their chairs as they tell stories of World Cups gone by. Sounds fun... right?

Per this post, the qualifiers from the first season of the Hudson Super League: Presented by Hudbank are as follows-

Hudson Islands (HUD) qualifiers
Champions’ Cup 70: Holgrave Gulls SC
Globe Cup 67: Blueport United, Botley Bears SC, Manchester Cats SC

For season two of Hudson Super League: Presented by Hudbank, the goal of many of the club owners is to try to recruit more high profile players into the league with the promise of a payday, sunny beaches and vibrant cities, and the clubs above can add the benefit of International Competition, although players may be deterred by the poor quality of the locals.

So somehow Namiri Forest defend their title, Esper take a well-earned, but gutwrenching, CC place. Spenson, Ephesian, Bassabook (lol) in the GC.

Frieda Bonhe-Minch scores to give Keppal the win.

Stoppage time...hang on...

RB @beyondlinks "It's always thrilling to watch Namiri Forest play" said no one, in fact, ever

It's always thrilling to watch Namiri Forest play but I get nervous every time I type up a big exclamation like that because I'm afraid autocorrect is going to misspell their names.

Goal with two minutes remaining in regulation, and Namiri Forest have astoundingly come back!

Siiiiiinha Peshwaaaaaaaa!

Uh, and Gail Suzuki scored for Trink so they've tied it against Cham. Six minutes to go. My nerves can totally take this, don't know what you're talking about.

Jonas McAulesh scores for the Rovers and now it's 3-1. Technically this goal of difference doesn't matter all that much but you can feel the momentum's gone out at Merle Park. Esper are struggling to hold on.

Angier scores again for Cham. They lead 2-1 in Trink.

A quarter hour to go, and Mafizuddin Thakura ties it up for Namiri Forest! They will have the GD lead if they can find one more goal...What finishes he's brought us!

Anxiety in the Bug House. Rachel Stelline puts the Rovers ahead 2-1.

Don't touch that adorable wireless mouse...Henson-Quan just finished a hat-trick. Welp.

Oh, and Myra Kendorff-Pak equalizes on the restart!

Minute 57 now...BJ Olivier scores again for Keppal. Ephesian should fall to fourth behind Spenson, who are still scoreless in Arlington.

Finn Hyde-Keel ties things up for Keppal, not that scoring against Ephesian's defense was exactly surprising.

Right, starting up again before you can unnerve me any further.

What...what do you mean? All we have are league tables! This is a hypothetical question, isn't it?

RB @beyondlinks like does it have to be a league table?

Sporting...merit? I don't think we track fair play. Defense? Namiri Forest can't go and they'll clean up on that barring the catastrophic.

RB @beyondlinks How does one qualify for the Vilitan Cove thing?

I said hard, not brutal.

RB @beyondlinks When will Zwangzug bureaucrats return to publishing dilemmas of international relevance?

And that'll bring us to halftime. Bring on your hard-hitting questions, and I'll let you know my thoughts!

Danilo Sabbia scores for Bassabook. Okay, so maybe their music is good for something.

Ouch. Javen Chapman just scored for the Rovers. 1-1, Robins ahead in the league still.

I would say Bassabook would applaud (another!) Henson-Quar goal but let's be real, they're going to be singing one of their songs with too many verses.

And seven minutes later, Merle Park is roaring again--this time, at the replay of Glen Tiskra's goal for the Bugs against Namiri Forest! Two huge goals for Sporting Esper.

GOAL! Leslie Corrigan scores, and it's 1-0 to Sporting Esper here in minute 27. Can the Robins hold on?

Spencer Gleason puts Ephesian ahead against Keppal, they're hoping to hang onto their seeding. It's been nice to see him flourish after a contract negotiation threatened to derail his season early on.

Case in point, the Trink defense crumbles and lets Savanna Angier suddenly appear in position for a goal for Cham. I'm not actually sure she was really onside there but ref is letting it stand.

Misako Tsuki converts a free kick for Eintracht Trink to score against Trebuchet Cham. When she's not tunnelling her way into conspiracy theories she's quite the striker. Pity the rest of the side couldn't play up to her level this season.

Lol. Solveig Henson-Quar scores for 102d, against Namiri Independent. Which really basically only serves to help....Bassabook.

Although Slogda haven't looked much like the champions of two seasons ago, so maybe not.

Goal for Marvin Wilmik and Slogda against...FTC United. (West side game.) The Oxen's only win this year was in Arlington on Matchday Eighteen. This could get ugly.

Plus all the other end-of-season nonsense. Let's go!

Ephesian and Spenson have secured CC spots; Bassabook hope to hold off Namiri Independent for fifth. Eintracht Trink, despite Franklin Motobuchi's leadership, nowhere to be seen.

But last season's champions, Namiri Forest, are still in the hunt as well, visiting a weak Twineur Bugs side.

Hello again, and welcome to yet another season with more parity than you asked for or perhaps wanted! A resurgent Sporting Esper lead the way with 21 points, and they face a mediocre Rovers United at home.

:: Season 56 ::

SEASON SUMMARY

Image

Image Turoki Tide - v. - Lonngeylin Coast Image
Tivali Ring Stadium, Alikki-Corra, Vilita

The Tropical Trophy is a seasonal competition between the Vilitan Stellar Division Champions and Vilitan Cup Champions. There has been some controversy as to whether it is a "Season Ending" event or a "Season beginning" event, though it has tended to be closer to the start of the new season, then the end of the previous one.

For this seasons Tropical Trophy, The all-time record five-time defending Tropical Trophy Champions and defending V-League Stellar Division Champions (Turoki Tide) faced off against the defending Vilitan Cup Champions (Lonngeylin Coast).

Vilitan/Turorian Dual National referee Nuliko Meteorik officiated the Tropical Trophy for the Sixteenth consecutive season.

Tropical Trophy Host Site:

Tivali Ring Stadium - Alikki-Corra, Vilita (87,000 Capacity)
The Football Association of Vilita is based at the Tivali-Ring Stadium in the capital city of Alikki-Corra, Vilita and many National Team training sessions take place on the grounds of the Tivali Ring. The Football Association regularly schedule matches at arenas throughout Vilita, especially bigger matches as many of the stadiums that host Stellar Division and UICA competition matches have expanded far beyond the capacity of the National Stadium at Tivali Ring, which is used only for the National Team, and, for the Vilitan Cup Final and Tropical Trophy matchup. In addition to its World Cup matches, 'The Ring' hosted the 40th UICA Series 'B' Champions Cup Final. The stadium was constructed as part of the Vilitan bid to host the World Cup 14 Cup of Harmony as a replacement to the former National Stadium in Lopinka that was destroyed during a regional conflict.

THROUGH MID-SEASON:

The Season opened with many teams having a lot of promise that this was going to be their season to break through and challenge for a place amongst the Vilitan League's Elite. One of those clubs was certainly the Yeaddin Owls who appeared primed and ready to take a step back into regular UICA Qualification Competition.

After matchday one, however, many were re-thinking that assessment. The Owls traveled to the Iobabao Legendary Field in Mliona, Turori and got absolutely hammered by Mliona-Lpaka AFC. The Owls actually struck first and the season got off to the right foot after a 25 yard rocket from Viela Lianksa. That was the last good thing that happened on the day for the Owls, however. Previously unheard of local midfielder Ceri'i Muchicahwaa netted four goals as the home side strung together six unanswered goals to win 6-1 on the day and propel themselves to the top of the Stellar Division table.

Mliona-Lpaka's ride at the top ended quickly however as they were shut out dominantly 3-0 by Jungle Strike FC at the Lonngeylin Coliseum on matchday 2, goals from Meldi'ita Mungwaii and Linvoi Warazil were the difference as goalkeeper Draugwe Nororon was sent off for Mliona-Lpaka.

On Matchday 21 the leaders Lonngeylin Coast hosted the defending Stellar Division and UICA Super Cup champions Turoki Tide as the Tide looked to put a dent in the Coast's advantage atop the table. Goals from Cavuna Aquafek and Sipke Tarala cancelled each other out and the two sides played out a 1-1 draw despite Lonngeylin Coast losing goalkeeper Cilamara Issah with less than 10 minutes to play in the match. The salvaged point was crucial for the Lighthouse keepers as they were able to maintain a 7 point advantage over rivals Strike who were stunned by bottom club Marine Coast United in Crosaibi.

THROUGH MATCHDAY 22:
::STANDINGS WITH 4 GAMES TO PLAY::
1 :: [45] - Lonngeylin Coast
2 :: [36] - Strike
3 :: [35] - Turoki Tide
4 :: [34] - Eastal Lunar
- :: [34] - Yeaddin Owls
6 :: [32] - Arcticala Inlet

As the rest of the Top 5 teams were held to draws against each other on Matchday 22, Lonngeylin Coast secured a clinical 2-0 victory over Cednia Beach AFC on the strength of goals from Inamara Altariiz and Methuselah Tregajorran. The result put Lonngeylin Coast 9 points clear of rivals Strike FC atop the Stellar Division table as pundits across the country wondered if the storybook battle between Lonngeylin Coast and Strike duking it out for the title was nothing more than a fairy tale as the Surge were breaking free of the pack.

While Cednia Beach lost their match on the day, their own crosstown foes lost the war as Cedniavella, alongwith Marine Coast United, both confirmed the drop with defeats. Both teams were living in a class of their own in the relegation zone, struggling to find the net. Luckily they will have a season in the Declasse on the horizon to work on their shooting.

Jungle Strike did their part on Matchday 23 to keep their chances alive as a goals from Midnight Strike and Malachite Scharner gave Strikea 2-1 victory over Inland peaks. They could do nothing about their foes however as Lonngeylin Coast kept up their winning ways with a 2-0 home triumph over Mliona-Lpaka to remain 9 points clear with just 9 points left on the board.

THROUGH MATCHDAY 24:
::STANDINGS WITH 2 GAMES TO PLAY::
1 :: [49] - Lonngeylin Coast
2 :: [39] - Strike
3 :: [38] - Turoki Tide
4 :: [36] - Eastal Lunar
- :: [36] - Cednia Beach
6 :: [35] - Yeaddin Owls

While it might have been mildly bittersweet to be away from home for the clincher, Lonngeylin Coast finally broke through and became the fourth Vilitan Stellar Division Champions that were not founding members of the Division, following the footsteps of Arcticala Inlet, Turoki United and the Turoki Tide. It was an otherwise uneventful goaless draw at the Arcticala Electrical Stadium made moot by the fact that closest rivals Strike also failed to claim three points in their matchup at Colonial Field in Sile. Just one season after lifting their firt ever domestic silverware as Vilitan Cup champions for Season 55, Lonngeylin Coast had claimed the ultimate prize - the Stellar Division title.

::STANDINGS WITH 1 GAME TO PLAY::
1 :: [50] - Lonngeylin Coast
2 :: [42] - Strike
3 :: [40] - Turoki Tide
4 :: [39] - Eastal Lunar
5 :: [36] - Cednia Beach
- :: [36] - Yeaddin Owls

While Lonngeylin Coast already had the title wrapped up and Cedniavella and Marine Coast United were simply jocking for the honors of who got relegated in last place, and who got relegated in second-to-last place, there was still plenty to play for going into the final matchday of the season. With Cednia Beach AFC the highest placed Turorian side sitting in 5th place going into the day, the UICA Champions Cup spaces were still up for grabs. One of Strike or Turoki Tide were guaranteed to finish Runner-Up in the table but which one it would be would be determined head-to-head on the pitch at the Turoki Community Complex.

***** Have a look at the table to see how the excitement ended...

Rivalry Roundup ::
Turoki Tilt: 1st Half (Turoki Tide 0-1 Turoki United)
After dropping the first half tilt in the Vilitan League's only ground-share rivalry, the Turoki Tide got to deck the Turoki Community Complex in their Seafoam and Orange colors for the return knowing that they needed a victory if they were going to stay in contention for the Stellar Division title. They couldn't get the job done, however, the 0-0 draw seeing the Tide fall 10 points behind the leaders with just four games to play and it appeared their run atop the Vilitan League was coming to a close. Making matters worse, they also lost the Turoki Community Cup to their rivals Turoki United 4 points to 1 on the season.

Kiiarana 2–3 Laiotia

Cednia Rovers 0–0 Akisa Surta (0–0 AET) (6–7 pen.)

Tropicorp Cup Final

Akisa Surta 1–0 Laiotia

Akisa Surta would lift their first ever Tropicorp Cup trophy and with it earn promotion to the Vilitan League for the first time since relegation following Season 48. With a best all time finish of 3rd place in the Declasse, Akisa Surta have never tasted the Stellar Division but will be one step closer in Season 57. For Laiotia, life outside the league has been the norm for as long as anyone could remember. In fact, it had been 40 seasons since Laiotia AFC contested their one and only previous season in the Vilitan League where they finished 13th in the Declasse and earned a direct ticket back to their non-league normality. After barely sneaking into the Tropicorp Cup both Akisa Surta and Laiotia upset their higher seed opponents to make their first Tropicorp Cup Final which was ultimately won 1-0 by Akisa Surta.

History and Tenants :: Tropicorp Park is home to the Tropicorp Cup, the four team, 2 day grand-finale of the Tropicorp Lower League. The competition has served as an outstanding warmup to test the hospitality available at Tropicorp Park, and was critical in the build up to the decision to allow the finals of the Eagle's Cup V competition to take place in Tropicorp, the first major international competition of any kind to be held in Tropicoast. Tropicorp FC, members of the Vilitan Declasse, also play their home matches at the park.

Tropicorp Park recently hosted the 54th AOCAF Final that saw Cosumar break through with a first ever regional title over Eshan. The stadium was also the final site for the AOCL XXIII contested between Mâ Âlâmëómë of Farfadillis and Blades ex Magnaeus of Mertagne with the Farf side being victorious on Penalty Kicks; and for AOCL XVII which saw Jungle Strike FC defeat Fligsive FC 3-0.

Tropicorp officials are continuously looking to expand the portfolio of events held at the Park and feels it is ready to add a UICA competition to its repetoire. Tropicorp officials are not being complacent, however, and continue to take advantage of the opportunities to showcase their hospitality including branching beyond Footsport. The first ever Tropicorp Bowl was recently contested on the gridiron with Raynor University defeating the university of Iqaluit 27-14.

Series 'B' Champions Cup : Eels Park, Eelandii, Turori (capacity 68,000)

The Eels Park arena in "Eelandii" - A purpose-created hybrid city located between the capital of Almintora and the center of sport in Cednia, was opened for the World Cup 63 Finals hosted in Turori as well as Aguazul. The Arena has since hosted matches during the 26th Di Bradini Cup and due to its moderate size is one of the most atmospheric venues in all of Turori. Turorian National Team matches not being held in Cednia have also been held at Eels Park instead of Almintora National Stadium.

Already the new center for sport in Turori, the purpose built village of Eelandii also features a Grand Prix racing course home to Vilita & Turori Motorsports Research & Development department, an Ice Hockey arena that also serves as a multi-purpose venue as well as an Eagle's Club facility. Eelandii would be a fitting host for the UICA Champions Cup final given the modern infrastructure and high density of sporting amenities in the region.

Located equidistantly between the cities of Almintora and Cednia - the two largest cities in the Island Emirate, round the clock public transportation can take guests from Eelandii to either city center. For those dedicated to the sports theme they can stay locally in Eelandii. Clubs participating in the Champions Cup final will be allowed to train ahead of the event at the Turori National Training facility located in the village of Eelandii.

Royal Banijan Soccer Association bids for the Stadium of the Restoration to host Globe Cup Final and Atlantian Oceania Champions League FInal

Image
Stadium of the Restoration for a match during the day

BUSUKUMA- The Royal Banijan Soccer Association, after much debate, is going to officially bid to host two major international club soccer events,- the Atlantian Oceania Champions League Final, alongside the Globe Cup Final. Both tournaments are prestigious events, with the Globe Cup being the second most prestigious event in all of club soccer, aside from the Champions Cup. The RBSA says that it will gain hosting chops for the organization, as they are known to be looking to host bigger, international events going forward in the near future.

The Association wants to emphasize the ability of the country to host big events. The City of Istria hosted the final for both NSCF 12 and NSCF 14, one of which a local school, the University of Loyola-Istria, was actually a part of. Banija has hosted the latest editions of both the World Lacrosse Championships and the World Bowl, with their ability to host big-time sporting events on full display each and every time. Banija is also preparing to host the World Twenty20s for cricket as well.

It is clear that Banija can host big time events. But why this stadium? This stadium seats 69,000, and is the national stadium of Banija. This is where the national team plays the majority of its home games, and where all neutral site games are played in Banija. It is the host of the Kabaka's Cup, the RBSA Cup Final, and the Serie B Champions Cup Playoff FInal. The Stadium itself also hosted the most recent World Bowl final, as well as the Mugisha III Memorial Bowl in college football, showing that it is more than capable of putting on big events.

Banijans feel as if they are capable of hosting the event. Adama Sowe, the RBSA Executive Chairman told reporters that "Banija has been rapidly expanding their sports hosting resume over the past few years, from the WLCs to the World Bowl and more. We are not the world's richest country- indeed, we are probably one of the poorest in AO. So why put it here? This is a global tournament. We give both tournaments a chance to go to a place where they've never been before, and a chance for tourists to see a beautiful country during dry season.

CAMPIONATO DI JUVENCUS

Another season of domestic football has come to an end. A dominant AC Pomena ruled for the entire league, with a team that was nothing short of all-star throught the season. U.S Scudelli followed with a great campaign of their own. Odiol Vinceti, formerly AC Vinceti, after it got bought by the Odiol Manufacturers industry, noticed a significant difference with their revitalised roster, a 10 place increase in fact. All foreigner players were moved back to their homelands in the Winter Break of December as the Juvencus Football Association has decided to turn the Campionati di Juvencus into a completely homogenous league. That way, they believe, is how the league's prestige will increase.

An old, however renovated stadium in the middle of Scudelli, it can offer you great view of the game wherever you seat, there's also a lot of space for hot-dog stands and the sort. There's also a massive vip room with the best view of the stadium. The grass is getting good care daily by its caretaker, thus, it has been ranked the most classy stadium of Juvencus. A stadium like this is suitable for a UICA Final like the Globe Cup.

Whirl Islands (WRL) final site bids

Series B Champions’ Cup/Youth Cup: Portomar Field, Navel Island (capacity: 30,991)

The Whirl Islands Football Association along with the Board of Navel Fútbol Club (better known as Navel FC) are hereby presenting Portomar Field to the consideration of the UICA Selection Committee as a potential venue for the final matches of the 67th Series B Champions' Cup and the 22nd Youth Cup.

Portomar Field is located in the heart of the well-to-do neighborhood of Portomar in Navel Island, the capital of the Whirl Islands, close to the city's CBD as well as the main international airport and gateway to the islands (Navel Island International Airport), and serves as home stadium for Navel FC, one of the most winning and popular clubs in the nation. The stadium was originally built with a capacity of 20,110 people and a synthetic turf surface given the difficulty to grow natural grass in the soils of the Portomar zone. Recently, the stadium underwent a series of major renovations, which included the expansion of the East Stand by adding an upper deck to it, which raised capacity to 30,991 people, the construction of a roof over the seating areas in the East and South stands to complement the existing roof in the Main Stand, and improvements to the stadium's TV and radio booths as well as to the VIP boxes located in the Main and East stands. The North Stand, which is the sector for visiting fans, was not expanded given the presence of a hypermarket next to it. In the event that this bid is successful, and should UICA's Selection Committee be uncomfortable with the current playing surface, both WIFA as well as Navel FC will be willing to lay a temporary grass surface for specific use during the event.

Mareibat Premier Season 2 - Preview

As the only team in the league who are fully professional - and the only one even remotely placed to perform at anywhere near UICA level - United are widely expected to sweep the league again this year. With a handful of clubs below them being semi-professional, they are likely to fight it out for the remaining UICA spots, with Bellight F.C, Harmonica Tundra, Cape of Hope FC and Pilgrimage most likely to fill out those spots. Keep an eye out for Teol United, who are improving well under Jorja Arvini's leadership.

Mareibat Premier Season 2 - Review

Bellight FC 1–0 Harmonica Tundra - Matchday 6
After five games, Bellight were flying high despite losing Thorgen Lillehammer to United, with Bellight drawn in points at the top of the table with United and (bizarrely) SWU FC. Harmonica Tundra had had a very average start to the season, but the minor derby of Mareibat, between the best two teams after United, was a chance for either team to cement themselves in the title race. After a cagey opening to the match - Richard Armada - the highly fancied Bellight striker - was able to power a shot past Alastair Crumplehorn in goal and despite pressing for the rest of the game, Tundra were not able to find a way past Rubio Snell in the Bellight goal, although Hannah Croxton did come very close.

Arbour Lights FC 2–1 Pilgrimage - Matchday 7
If there was ever a sign of two clubs seasons regressing from the norm this is it. Arbour Lights FC have been performing relatively well so far this season, despite losing their key striker Studio Marquis to Bellight FC, while Pilgrimage have been lingering near the bottom of the table. However, Pilgrimage are a decent small club, and should have what it takes to win against an amateur minnow such as Arbour? Wrong! Despite taking the lead early through Kyo Arai, Pilgrimage are sloppy at defending and Arbour Lights score twice late on in the game to take a decisive win. The small town of Arbour in the north of the archipelago will be down the pub tonight!

Bellight FC 5–2 Cape of Hope FC - Matchday 10
Cape of Hope performed very impressively last season, and there was even a hint of optimism that they might be able to challenge their near neighbours for UICA places regularly. However, with the Cape in 8th place prior to the game, it seemed unlikely, and even more so after a 5-2 thrashing by their more illustrious neighbours, with Bellight's fiersome front three of Richard Armada, Geena Opendale and Studio Marquis all combining to score past Cape of Hope five times, much to the chagrin of Jason Bamford who had a good game.

Teol United 0–1 Halholzer United - Matchday 16
Teol have looked very good indeed this season under the management of Jorja Arvini and they've looked the best of the rest behind the title challenging two of Bellight and United. When they host United on the 16th matchday they certainly play well, and although with their ultra-defensive vibe, it's not hard to only lose 1-0 to United, Teol threatened for much of the game to get past their packed out defense. Thorgen Lillehammer having to pull out a few excellent shots.
