Subject: Re: Balkans Peace Plan
[S-E-C-R-E-T]
Mr. Taslakian,
Mitheldalond has noted that Armenia has thus far made no attempts to further expand their territory into Europe, and our preliminary investigations have turned up substantially less evidence of crimes committed against the populace of the Balkans than we initially anticipated. In light of this, and of recent events - namely the imperialistic moves Trans-Uralia has taken to illegally annex the entirety of Ukraine, and their suspected involvement in the terrorist attacks in Rome and Paris, we are willing to reconsider our position on Armenia and the Balkans.
Mitheldalond will accept Armenian control over the territory it currently holds, including occupied areas in the Balkans. We will also waive our claims for reparations to be paid to Mitheldalond by Armenia for their role in the Aursian War, and will lift the sanctions and travel restrictions currently in place. These conditions will remain in effect for as long as Armenia abides by the terms established below. Finally, Mitheldalond will agree to a mutual one year non-aggression pact with Armenia, on the condition that Armenia refrains from participating in any wars of aggression for that period, in addition to the other conditions defined below.
In return for this, Armenia will agree not to undertake any further territorial expansion in Europe or elsewhere. Secondly, your government and military will have no further involvement in the Aursian War, except for the peace conference. Thirdly, Armenia will immediately cease their support of Trans-Uralia, and will withdraw all Armenian forces from Ukraine. Your government will guarantee that Armenia will not oppose, by any means, any future operations by Mitheldalond, or other members of any coalition of which Mitheldalond is a part, to counter Trans-Uralian expansion or terrorist activities, and will not hinder any of their forces carrying out such operations. Finally, Armenia will guarantee that they will not commit any war crimes in any future conflicts they may be involved in. What constitutes a war crime shall be determined solely by the CTAO.
We do not make this offer gladly, and are loath to offer it at all, but feel compelled to do so in the interest of peace.Signed,Ariel Henduluin
