Are you a LGBTQ accepting nation ?

Postby One United Omiba Dynasty » Sun Mar 15, 2020 8:16 pm

We are an LGBTQ accepting nation. We have a strong person sition against homophobes and protect LGBTQ people in housing and employment. Our religion teaches that the Mother has plans for these people, and our clergy is made almost entirely of woman, although we do have male to female transgender people working as clergy today.
Do you support LGBTQ people or discriminate against them ?

Homosexuality, in and of itself, is not illegal (that would be impractical to enforce). But publicly expressing support for it is illegal, because such a kind of speech would go against the official Catholic teachings and offend people's religious beliefs. The Holy Catholic State fiercely rejects the Marxist ideas of liberalism and secularization.

Homosexuality is no form illegal, and sexual orientation is counted in anti-discrimination laws. However, similarly to the reply of Estado Novo Portugues, a vast majority of the population is devout, so public displays of affection say, for example starting to get the tongue a bit during a kiss, would have negative feedback from people around. In comparison to most western countries, there are some political issues that just don't apply to Lindale, such as Identity Politics, since institutional reform and conflict with particular nations, has shifted the Overton Window from the alignment that is set by most of the West.
Most people, in general, prefer to remain closeted, as there are many more issues that need to be resolved, and simply it is not that relevant. Thus, the LGBT community has not been politicized since no Identity Politics, so LGBT Organisations are seen more positively, since their contribution is strictly pragmatic, to the point where religious charities have commended and provided support for them.

Yes and no, while its in no way illegal or frowned upon, the topic of sexuality is mostly taboo within Kandorith. People do not mind the LGBT community but in general do find them a bit "weird" as in outside of the normal cultural norm. This thinking however does not lead to discrimination, but rather ton awkward situations or conversations at most.

There isn't a large awareness campaign, large scale protests or identity politics as everyone within the Empire has equal rights and is viewed as equal. Most of the people tend to adhere to this view. On discrimination high fines are issued, no matter against which group of society.

Perumbadapu Swaroopam’s stand on LGBTQ community by

Postby Perumbadapu Swaroopam » Mon Mar 16, 2020 1:09 am

Homosexuality as such is not illegal, moreover humans cannot diligently control their hormones. But publicly supporting homosexuality in any manner is a illegal, with life imprisonment, Penalty or both.
If a person detected to be LGBTQ can report to state medical facilities and will be treated accordingly for a cure. They will be given moral support and will be get state support to survive on their own.
Also harassing or humiliating any LGBTQ person publicly or privately in any manner by any citizen is also illegal, with life imprisonment, penalty or both depending on the seriousness of the act.

LGBTQ relationships, as well as same-sex marriage are legal in Drongonia, however there are no specific laws to protect those individuals from discrimination, and the public are generally opposed to hearing LGBTQ issues. The current government takes no official stance, however the nation's largest opposition party supports a bunch of pro-LGBTQ reforms.

Hard to say. In Gunyria, all types of sexualities are legal (and when I say all I mean reall ALL) and many people in Gunyria are of different sexualities but LGBT ideology is viewed as totalitarian supremacist ideology and thus it is legal to kill people who are in LGBT comunity. In other words, you can have sex with anyone or anything but if you adhere to LGBT as political ideology, you are dangerous for our national freedom.

Also Gunyria is based on free speech. You can say that people with other sexualities are better than heterosexuals without beeing punished by the state but any other person can say that all gays and lesbians should be killed and that they are not even human without beeing punished by the state...

Palmyrion has been socioculturally accepting of the LGBT+ community since its birth as a nation separate from their Marshite ancestors to the north; however, its de jure acceptance of the LGBT community has varied over the course of its history. It was only on 1985, a year after the Counter-Revolutionary War, that anti-sodomy laws were struck down. On 1990, a bill repealing the ban on openly LGBT members of the Armed Forces of Palmyrion was passed in a landslide 395-2-3 vote in the Assembly. On 2017, the Supreme Court, in reply to a petition to legalise same-sex marriage in Palmyrion, declared that same-sex marital unions be given the Recognition, Rights, Privileges, Duties, and Responsibilities as stipulated in the Marriage and Family Code 1990; all same sex marital ceremonies performed before the Supreme Court ruling were given an opportunity to be retroactively legalised by virtue of being granted a marital licence. The ruling came along with a blanket anti-discrimination law being passed in the Assembly, making it illegal for anyone to be denied access to basic services and commodities on virtue of race, creed, or sexual orientation.

However, not all would be rainbows and butterflies, as Palmyrion was beset with its worst terror attack so far. On 29 June 2019, 64 terrorists of the Christian extremist front "Bagong Lipunan ng Palmyria" massacred 1,287 others (including former monarch Lakán Alexander II) at the 2019 Commonwealth Pride March at the Commonwealth Square. The subsequent police crackdown on BLP-affiliated entities was just as brutal; police and military brutality on a scale never seen before by Palmyrion was well-documented, with the most brutality coming from soldiers and police officers who were members of the LGBT community.

Nevertheless, the LGBT community in Palmyrion is given the same civil rights and liberties as their non-LGBT counterparts have, notably equity in opportunity to volunteer for the military, police, and other uniformed services, to avail of same-sex marriage, and protection from discrimination.

Well let's see:
- The law prohibiting same-sex sexual activity was repealed in 1919 (although we should note that the law had literally not been enforced for decades at that point, with the last conviction occurring in 1871 and the last arrest in the 1884)
- Transgender citizens have been allowed to change their legal gender since 1958
- Laws prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation were passed in 1967
- Same-sex couples have been recognized since 1975
- Same-sex couples have been allowed to adopt since 1977 (for stepchild adoption) and since 1979 (for joint adoption)
- Transitioning for transgender citizens has been covered by our universal healthcare system since 1982
- Same-sex marriage has been legal since 1988
- Laws prohibiting discrimination on the basis of gender identity were passed in 1993
- A recent opinion poll shows that 87% of Gandoorese are in favour of LGBT rights and equality
- All major political parties, including the socially conservative Gandoor Freedom Group, include LGBT rights as part of their official party platforms

So yes, the Democratic Republic is an accepting nation for LGBT+ people.

Legal, but not encouraged and somewhat controversial in some areas due to the fact that, like Estado Novo earlier, most of the population is religious. In addition, homosexual partners cannot be married, and if they were married abroad, their marriage does not hold merit in the eyes of Prussian-Polish law.

LGBTQ relationships and rights are very far forward in IG, all LGBTQ+ people are given the same rights as everyone else and are protected under laws, attacks on people for their sexuality are considered Hate Crimes and are extremely frowned upon.

Officially, Homosexuality is illegal in the Empire of Brazil. However, as no enforcement for that is made, and attempting to injure someone due to his beliefs is illegal, one can be in the LGBTQ community with close to no risks.

The concept of LGBTQ does not exist within the Empire. Culturally, it isn't a concept.

If someone says they're what we call homosexual, it changes very little about their life - their family loves them and cares all the same. So gay peoples mostly end up in arranged heterosexual marriages - like everyone else.

If they go out and marry another man, it isn't so much the marrying of a man that angers the family, but the audacity to disobey the arrangement they've put in place.

Transgenderism just isn't considered. It's not even heard of.

In 1993, 141 gay minorities was raided and captured during a secret party in Kelapa Gading, Zakartah. All of them was sentenced to death and thrown off from the rooftop of Wisma 46, a 262 m tall tower in downtown Zakartah. The bloodbath of 9 tons of severed muscles and bodyparts gave the street below it the nickname "Red Roundabout".

Homosexuality is one of the most undesirable trait a human can posess in the territory of Khilafah Islamiyah. Anything that goes against the traditional male-female family structure is considered a contradiction against the judgement of Allah, who punished the homosexual people of Sodom and Gomorra by carpet bombing them with asteroids. LGBTQ is considered a threat due to various reasoning:
  • It "goes against nature";
  • It is banned by Islam;
  • Homosexual practices incite Allah's anger, which leads to Allah's punishment, which threatens national security.
Such phenomenons are expected to be eradicated through harsh punishments as conducted by Muhammad's companions and ordered by the fatwa of ulemas. These includes:
  • Stoning, where the subject is buried alive from feet to chest in a public and crowded space (such as squares or markets), and then thrown rocks until they die due to internal bleeding or organ rupture.
  • Burning perpetrators alive.
  • Dropping perpetrators from the highest tower, cliff, or building in an area, when they are subsequently thrown rocks (stoned) upon impact with the ground.
  • Beheading, or other normal execution methods.
  • Lashes in public spaces.
  • Social ostracization, banishment, exile, to honor killings, which happen and approved with alarming frequency even though such practices are not directly sanctioned by the Sharia.
Due to these discriminative practices, LGBTQ population in Dwipantara are subject to daily psychological stresses, abuse, isolation, death threats, and rampage of HIV/AIDS without any possibility of help or salvation.
