NSSCRA 15- Everything Thread (IC Only!)

Postby Newmanistan » Sun Nov 05, 2023 6:06 pm

Welcome to the 15th season of NSSCRA!

Scorination Details: (If you participated in previous seasons, nothing is changing). The main series will be scorinated in the manner in which you are accustomed too, or in the same way that seasons 6-14 have been. The second series has all drivers, regardless of their nation, start with a skill level of zero. This puts all nations on a level playing period to begin with for that series. The second tier series only has one scorination of data, there are not five segments that are averaged.

Every "race weekend" will have two days in which information is scorinated. Day 1 will be the qualifying for the main series and the official race results (with qualifying) for the second tier series. Day 2 will be the day in which main series results are scorinated. Day 2 will be the only day where there is an official RP cutoff. Day 1 will not have an official cutoff for RP as the results will be posted at a time similar to what cutoff time typically is, but will be done without a cutoff associated with it.

Ex: In the main series, a race's information reads like this:
Exhibition- (Nov 14/15)- Exhibition at The Proving Grounds Presented by Rocket Automotive <--- This will be the actual dates of the first cutoff, too.

This means that the cutoff date for this race is November 15th (Wednesday).
On November 14th (Tuesday), qualifying for this race will be posted without a cutoff. It will also be the day that the corresponding second tier series race has it's results posted (as long as with the qualifying).

Races will typically be once a week, on Saturday/Sunday, but there may be occasional times when there is an additional Tuesday/Wednesday race. I will give reminders of this when a midweek race is included. Because we always start with an exhibition race, we can start this on 11/15, and the first official points-paying race will be on Sunday 11/19.

Open Charter Details: For every race, there are two "open charters". What this is, is a chance for a nation to give a fourth/additional driver an occasional part-time race. Alternatively, a nation can request an open charter for a "need to qualify" driver to get an automatic spot. To make a request for an open charter, a nation must either: 1) Provide the request in a RP IMMEDIATELY PRIOR to the scheduled race with the request BOLDED within the RP. or 2) Request it in a telegram when the desired race is NEXT on the schedule. You can make your intention known a few weeks prior, but there's always the risk of it slipping my mind. Officially asking right before the race keeps my "getting older" mind from forgetting it.

If I must decide from more than two requests: the first preference for an open charter will always be to the nation that is hosting the upcoming race. Afterwards, the amount of requests a nation has already made is taken into consideration, as well as the amount of RP already provided by the requesting nations.

The next post will contain the full schedule.

Gauges, Phoenix Insurance Brokers, UltraValue Master Mechanic Stores, Romlin Spark Plugs, BA Racing, Hot Cams

TEAM PERSONNEL YOU SHOULD PROBABLY KNOW ABOUT.

Team Principal: Al Shelton (twii.tur: @SheltonSandGravel)
Image

A former driver, city councilman, and sand and gravel expert, Al Shelton was brought in by Preston Autos to replace Amanda McAlister to run the day-to-day operations of the team. When he was hired, Preston Autos executives cited Shelton's ability to work with borderline characters, egos and a multi-million dollar business - as he had done on the Hapilopper City Council and at Shelton Sand and Gravel, a company he ran until selling it last year in an effort to try to get back to the world of racing. And Shelton was missing it very much. Since the start of the Al Shelton era at Team Blue, it seemed like the team started to go from strength to strength, something that culminated with the long-awaited first championship for Drake Stevenson. Under Al Shelton and Preston Autos leadership, it seems like Team Blue is in the best place it's ever been in. Ever.

Driver Coach: Mark Arbuckle (twii.tur: @MarkA_TeamBlue)
Image

Mark Arbuckle, a longtime mainstay of the HASCAR Challenge Cup, retired last year after suffering a serious concussion at a race in West Hampton, but Arbuckle decided he wanted to stay a part of the world of auto racing. With Team Blue looking for a driver coach in the absence of Frank Bronson, the team hired Arbuckle, who worked for the team's HASCAR organization. Arbuckle is known for his patient demeanor as he typically let the race come to him, rather than trying to force the issue. Team Blue sees that as a massive strength and hopes to help their drivers understand the importance of letting the race come to them. While, in years past, the driver coach would be seen as a reserve driver, Arbuckle has not been cleared to compete, and consequently, another driver has been hired to be that reserve driver - especially needed as lead driver Drake Stevenson will likely miss one race this season.

Team Owner: Jim Preston (twii.tur: @PrestonAutos) President and CEO, Preston Autos
Image

First and foremost, no one calls him "Jim", and especially no one calls him "Jimmy." Jim Preston is the President and CEO of what is now Hapilopper's largest automaker, Preston Autos, and a lot of that success has come from the brand's international presence, thanks largely to its auto racing successes at home and abroad, in the two biggest racing series in the multiverse, NSSCRA and the World Grand Prix Championship. Smart people walk on eggshells around him, for he can either make you or break you, and his frightening energy is hardly one to be trifled with. Just ask Frank Bronson and Amanda McAlister. He is rarely seen at a racetrack, instead spending his time in his top-floor office at Preston Towers in downtown Hapilopper City, where he runs a multi-billion dollar automotive empire. When he does show up at races, people take note.

#81 - DRAKE STEVENSON | Hometown: Hapilopper City | Age: 37 | Twii.tur: @HapiDrake81
HASCAR Starts: 309 | Wins: 54 | HASCAR Challenge Cups: 4 (2011, 2013, 2014, 2018)
NSSCRA Starts: 147 | Wins: 8 | NSSCRA Championships: 1 (Season 14) | Exhibition 500 Wins: 1 (Season 10)
Crew Chief: John Malloy (twii.tur: @j_malloy) | Spotter: Banjo Williams (twii.tur: @BanjoHap)
Driving Style: Profane | Demeanor: Team Leader | Retaliation?: Unlikely

Well, he finally did it. Drake Stevenson is a NSSCRA Champion. He got Taylor Henderson back in his life. The two have a child on the way, and a wedding coming at the end of the season. But at the start of the season - or even midway through it - it seemed like all of that would be impossible. At that point, it seemed like this writing would be about someone else, and Drake Stevenson would have returned to HASCAR or quit racing altogether. And it's hard to say how different the world of racing would be right about now if that had happened. We'd have a different champion. Team Blue might not be in the shape it's in right now. And we'd be wondering if Team Blue would ever live up to the expectations set about them.

Instead, last fall, Hapilopper's favorite son, Drake Stevenson, won the most glorious title in all of auto racing - the NSSCRA Multiversal Cup Champion, leading an incredible charge from Team Blue from the nadir in Kimi-Suomi to the top two finishing spots last season, and a third driver in 8th. Instead of Hapiloppians watching another driver lifting up the colorful NSSCRA trophy, they watched their own, and a week after, an estimated 3.1 million people crowded the streets of Hapilopper City to celebrate their favorite son, and to celebrate the fact that, yes, Hapiloppians knew stock car racing better than anyone in the multiverse. There is no questioning it now - Drake Stevenson is at the top of the racing world, and now it's his turn to defend that spot. It's been a long time since a driver has won consecutive NSSCRA titles - that honor went to Lien Murakami of Hodori - but if anyone's the one to do it, it's Drake.

If he does it, it will happen with a likely one-race handicap. Drake has made it clear that he will skip one NSSCRA race this season following the birth of his son, Kenneth Carl Stevenson. It is expected that Team Blue will name a substitute in the weeks ahead.

#73 - RINZI ZAKHILWAL | Hometown: Dali, Yunnan Territory, The Sherpa Empire | Age: 35 | Twii.tur: (none)
HASCAR Starts: 0 | Wins: 0 | HASCAR Challenge Cups: 0
NSSCRA Starts: 196 | Wins: 12 | NSSCRA Championships: 0
Crew Chief: Gombu Sejwal (no twii.tur) | Spotter: Dolma Rohatgi (no twii.tur)
Driving Style: Professional | Demeanor: Goofy | Retaliation?: All I'm saying is if Rinzi's gunning for you, you've screwed up big time

If Drake Stevenson is the leader of Team Blue, Rinzi Zakhilwal is the heart and soul of the team. For the last two years, Rinzi has captured the hearts and imaginations of Hapiloppian fans, and fans all across the world with his inspired performances. Those performances have led to Rinzi securing a spot in the Championship Four both years he has been with Team Blue. In the first year, he was a beacon of light in a world of darkness around the team. In the second year, his presence likely saved the team from the brink of extinction - Jim Preston, the head of Preston Autos reportedly telling people in an intense midseason meeting that he didn't want to give Rinzi back "to the Sherpas" or to anyone else. Team Blue loves Rinzi. Preston loves Rinzi. And Hapilopper loves Rinzi.

Last season was a career year for Rinzi. He won four times, leading the league. He won the Tundra Falls 500. He became a naturalized Hapiloppian citizen, a fact that Team Blue celebrated vigorously, both at the track and on social media. It is pretty clear that Team Blue considers Rinzi their secret weapon and it is expected that the team will put the full weight of their team behind Rinzi as he goes for that long-awaited NSSCRA Championship this year, something that many think could be a distinct possibility. There is very, very little changing from last year to this year for Rinzi - the personnel stays the same. The pit crew stays the same. The driver stays the same. The sponsor stays the same. The paint scheme might look a tiny bit different, but that's pretty much it.

Team Blue has gone out of its way to make Rinzi as comfortable as possible. For starters, the team has put together a prayer room in the Team Blue Shop and in the Team Blue Center in an effort to help Rinzi, a devout Muslim, become comfortable with his surroundings. The team worked to hire members of Rinzi's old crew, including his crew chief and spotter. That same personnel remains with Rinzi for the coming season, as the team feels there is no sense in breaking up something that works. The Carpet Khan is a genuine threat for the title.

Mayhem "Thunder, Lightning, Rinzi" scheme, to be run at all races this season

#8 - CHRIS HOLMES | Hometown: Buckridge | Age: 31 | Twii.tur: @CHolmes
HASCAR Starts: 30 | Wins: 1 | HASCAR Challenge Cups: 0
NSSCRA Starts: 160 | Wins: 4 | NSSCRA Championships: 0
Crew Chief: Lawrence Malloy (twii.tur: @larry_m8) | Spotter: Sharp-Eyes Glover (no twii.tur)
Driving Style: Patient | Demeanor: Relaxed | Retaliation?: No

There are serious questions about Chris Holmes' future with Team Blue, and within international motorsports as a whole. While Drake Stevenson and Rinzi Zakhilwal were setting the world on fire and making all of Hapilopper proud with their incredible drives - Rinzi leading the league in wins and Drake winning the NSSCRA title, Chris struggled to run up front, failed to win a single race and was the only Team Blue driver to not make the final four. And during the offseason, Chris started wondering about a life after racing. And he found the idea of a life after racing, with his family, was a hell of a lot more fun than traveling to other regions and other nations and racing cars. To put it another way, Chris's priorities have changed.

This is a contract year for Chris, and both Preston Autos and Chris are debating whether or not to go with a contract extension. It's possible that not even an NSSCRA championship could keep Chris back in the 8 car next season. Or could it? The beautiful thing about racing is that it can give and it can take away. By the time we go to Tundra Falls for the season finale, Chris could just as easily be refreshed and renewed, having fallen back in love with racing again, or he could want to get out of there. He's got a second child on the way, and he's already got an exit plan considered.

#05 - KENNY WILSON | Hometown: Hapilopper City | Age: 24 | Twii.tur: @Kenny_Wilson
HASCAR Starts: 0 | Wins: 0 | HASCAR Challenge Cups: 0
NSSCRA Starts: 0 | Wins: 0 | NSSCRA Championships: 0
Crew Chief: Jennie Arrington (twii.tur: @jenniearrington) | Spotter: Randy Miles (twii.tur: @rmiles)
Driving Style: Moody | Demeanor: Jumpy | Retaliation?: Just ask Vincent Von Visp

Dirt-track ace Kenny Wilson, just off a disastrous and massively frustrating run in the World Grand Prix 2 Championship, has been tapped by Preston Autos to drive a fourth Team Blue Skychief II in select races following the end of the WGP2 campaign. There are heavy rumors that Wilson is being tapped to replace Chris Holmes next season, but no one has spoken on this publicly. Wilson, however, has already considered his Grand Prix career to be a failure and has told his family and friends about a life after Grand Prix racing - or whatever he would charitibly call "Grand Prix" racing. But there is still much ahead for him.

Wilson will run in a handful of races this season, with Team Blue's old AOCAR team, led by crew chief Jennie Arrington, who joined the team last year and has gained acclaim as one of the finest strategic minds in Hapiloppian racing. It'll be interesting to see how the two gel together and what this means for the future. At the very least, it is expected that Kenny will be a contender at a place like the HNE Half Mile, thanks largely to his prowess on dirt - and that prowess is something else. How that translates to competing in stock cars on paved ovals, however, remains to be seen.

Preston "FEEL THE POWER!" paint scheme, races TBA

The Valentians – Intro – Meet the Team!

For the first time after many seasons, the Valentians have struck a deal with the Hapilopperians for a change of tire manufacturer, opting to use the Brimstone Tires for both the Multiversal and Everlong team. There were talks about the Gardeners doing the same, but perhaps as a bit of sentimentality, or because they want to make sure that the tires are doing them well (with no offense intended to the Hapilopperians). Still, that's the way it is, for now.

Exuberant Superintendent T-2000/2904-3 Surveillant Clarissa Alanis Star Breya « La Amoureux Chéri » Millie Taissa Butterfly Mélody Coraline Jolijn Trini Clementine Hollie Samantha Zeta Harumi is the first and more well-known Valentian in the realm of NSSCRA, as well as effectively anywhere else. Ironically, for someone who is not Valentian in origin, Clarissa is the very first that came into people's mind when they think about Valentine Z, perhaps even with personifications like Anna, Klarissa, and Cyan existing. They knew about all this and of course, they are still more than happy to support Clarissa and her name being more well-known. After all, the Valentians often do not compete against one another. Going back, Clarissa have had an eventful season of NSSCRA 14, though she also got herself into a bit of a problem, one in particular about her getting booed during a Hapilopperian race. In her own opinion and words, she admitted that she overreacted to it and would take it more in stride this time, perhaps even having something planned in mind if it happened again (and it will happen, she was sure). Nothing malicious, of course, and rather, something to surprise both the Valentians and the Hapilopperians. She is still on her tried and tested and true #7, retrofitted with sensors and wires that she can plug in to get more telemetry and data into her.
Image

Anastasia “De Sierlijke en Vrij High Valkyrie ov Valentine Z” Freya Valentina Ada. Jolin Annelijn Caitlin Trijntje Crystal Clarice Constance Judy Voi. D. Nexitros Annile Teresa Thida Myat Yadana Aye took a backseat for the previous season, not making quite the headlines as one would expect. She did not make it through the Chase Season as well, though she did ended up 17th in terms of overall points, which is to say that outside of the 16 Chasers, she did the best in terms of the points alone. "Maybe this season might be the one," she said to the press and the reporters at the scene, "The previous season was a bit lackluster, but like I said, I am looking forward to this one. I know about the fact that we have changed tires, and for that one, I am not going to complain about it; Hapilopperians and we have had good history, overall, and I do trust their tires." Still driving her #15, Anastasia radiates with magic as she climbs into the car for some photo ops here and there, alone with driving the car around on the empty Valentian tracks. There was not much change to her car in terms of sponsors and other technicalities, other than tires.
Image

Chief Aviator Gwen Tracer Hepburn “Fate of Existence and the Omniverse” Ellen Trixie Caitlin Foxworthy Avril Verlene Eveline Celinda Sammy Doris T-Rev Oxton Arielle Lindall Leslie Vitesse Allison had the last laugh in the last season, as she would put it. "Oh, please don't get me wrong! I like Drake as a friend, and of all the other Hapilopperians too! And of course, I am more than thrilled to see that he got the championship. Still, I mean, small victory for me, right? Being able to put in 1st for the Proving Grounds! It makes me wonder, why the hell didn't I get those results for the rest of the season? Ahh, this time for sure." Winning is not a bad thing, but for Gwen, she was planning something – one that is going to be of interest if she managed to pull it off. "I am going to get 2nd or 3rd for the races, and I will try to get into the Chase by points alone. It nearly worked in that other season, didn't it? It would be fun, trust me, hehe." She then further commented and replied back to the questions about "Gwen, is it true that you have been causing havoc in other- err… worlds?" Perhaps she was a little too proud of that, even when she has repeatedly reassured everyone that she would put everything back in place and no one would know. "Certain timelines might get erased though… collateral." She still swear by the notion that she won't use her powers to cheat, and instead, might have used it now and then in order to make sure that no one is crashing and getting killed, even. Her car would stand out a bit more, with the notable change being that the Valkyrie Software is taken out as one of the sponsors on her car on good terms, while adding Navigon 31 to the sides of her car, effectively replacing the default number on the livery. Perhaps many might wonder what this Navigon 31 is, one that is seen in WSRC 03.

Navigon 31 is a company that is co-founded by Gwen Tracer Allison Oxton, Marcus Alan Ariel Reynolds, and Angela Stella Tan Fang Ling. It is a result of accumulation of decades of work across multiple fields by the Valentians – space exploration, discovery and embracing the existence of the multiverse, and of course, the technology itself. Going beyond a constellation of satellites that are surrounding the planets for Global Positioning System, Navigon consists of septillions of satellites that are placed all over the universes, and hidden in higher spatial dimensions so as to prevent them from being found by other inhabitants. Though, of course, it would only be a matter of time before a universe or two with advanced technologies of their own then started finding out about these satellites. For the time being, the Valentians enjoy a no-worry trek and travel across galaxies and universes as they can always rely on Navigon to direct them back to the Valentian world, and to their home. Navigon 31 is also the main sponsor for the Valentian races, using its satellites to give real-time telemetry of all the cars on the track for viewing.

Valentijn “De Sierlijke en Vrij Valkyrie General ov Valentine Z” Samantha Maxwell Delta Weston Stijn Angelus Tracey Mitchell Tristian Marnix Basilisk Lewis Hyatt X. Constantine Sein Lin Zaw Naing already had her dreams come true of being a leader of a world, especially one where there is peace and harmony and progress for everyone, and she really does mean everyone. With 2 planets under their control (speculation on whether or not they will need to terraform Jupiter in their system and in their world is around, but for now, that is another story!), along with territories in other foreign worlds on good bilateral relationships, Valentine Z under herself and The Sixty have thrived. This little piece of (propaganda) aside, Valentijn then got her second dream come true in the previous season, namely becoming the champion for the NSSCRA Everlong title. "Well, would I want to move up? Not really, no," she remarked and added on to the reporters, "Everlong is where I belone with my other friends, and I do want to keep it that way. Who knows, maybeeee this time it might happen again? Maybe? Here's to hoping, and I wish everyone the best of luck!" Valkyrie Valentijn, when she is not lumbering around the countryside in her full height, drives an #10 for Everlong, with the new tires fitted and ready to go. She likes the current paint scheme, so she is keeping it.
Image

Foresittend Marcus Alan Ariel Maximillian “Unendlichkeit Jäger” Swifty Felix Maverick Prometheus Revlin Lynx Artyom Lichtenstein Baptiste C. Talon Haydn Lincoln Taal Reynolds Chua Shi Hui is another gentle giant of even the Valentians, and it was perhaps no wonder that eventually, Valentijn and himself have become close friends, working alongside one another and with Marcus (and Jolyn) being trusted to run an autonomous region of Victoriaans Nederlands (sic, the s that cannot be removed from the behind). Marcus also did tremendously well for the previous season, having placed 5th overall in terms of points, and there were speculations that if he were to get into the top 4, he would have been on the podium together with Valkyrie Valentijn. The last race at Proving Grounds already proved that, with Valentijn and Marcus on 1st and 3rd respectively. Marcus often times can be seen with his large and massive armor with a colony of alien worms inside of it, to which he controls the armor with greatest of efficiency, on top of the worms themselves being officially termed as Valentians. He relies on his consistency and his ability to turtle for the most parts, as well as enjoying the notion and the idea that he was more or less a mighty and gentle glacier that no one could punch a hole through. This season, he was planning for it: Un-overtake-able.
Image

1st Commander Michelle Karen Kassandra Zann Harley Iliana “Nezastavitelná Síla” Breya Angelina Jayne Valérie Vítková Breanna Shirley Geigen Deborah Beveline Tegan Evelyn Saniya Pavlína enjoyed leading the Valentian Police Force, one that gets the reputation of rehabilitation first before arrests and the use of force, and only when absolutely necessary. In the realm of NSSCRA, she is no slouch either, being able to navigate and race through the road courses, perhaps potentially the best driver in terms of the road courses. Her flaw so far is that she is not attuned to the likes of speedways and superspeedways, because her police training is mostly in the urban settings across the entire worlds of Valentine Z. Still, with 7th for the overall points, Michelle is more than confident that she is able to do all this again for this season. Her car is aptly enough sporting a red-blue-white color scheme, though she chose not to do anything more than that, citing that "Rules and regulations aside, I am not trying to promote my job too much. For the Valentians, we know. For the others, we know how brutal a police force can get, so I get it."

The Gardeners – Intro – Meet the Team!

Holly Aceline “De Stralend en Wonderbaarlijk Licht Koningin Van Haar Mooie Universum” Aurora Symantha Vreugde Astrid Lavender Lexis Lilac Harmony Tsi. Marlie Nova Radiant Lapia Starlight may be perhaps the strangest and most mysterious Valentian to ever step into NSSCRA. Heck, perhaps she may be the most mysterious out of everyone. One could rationalize the existence of a Smart AI, a colony of alien worms, a giant even amongst giants, a yeti, and even a bird who can drive. Then there is Holly – a being made out of blue lights, touch to the cold, and have a limitless amount of energy in her own home. Valentians have theorized that Holly may not even be herself, and that instead, she is the dimension herself; the blue woman that is often seen could be just an extremely small part of the dimension. Holly, for the most parts, declined to comment publicly. For her part, she would simply state that "You may be correct on me being a dimension – a living dimension. Everything else… it's up to your interpretation." While she is friendly and on good terms with her (and the other Valentians), Holly remarked that even Gwen may have a bit of difficulty trying to figure out who Holly really is, and where she came from. Her motivation for being in NSSCRA is still completely unknown, save for "It's fun!". Her car, a #55, is without any sponsors, as it has been.
Image

Anna “De Eeuwige Vreugde” Caitlin Madeline Brigitte Priscilla Teresa Mavis Thanda Pwint Thinzar Nwe, Tweede Verpersoonlijking van De Sierlijke und Verwonderlijk Feline Utopia ov Valentine Z is also another enigma, though perhaps not as mysterious as Holly Starlight. Anna presented herself as a Second Personification of Valentine Z, alongside Klarissa and Cyan, who in turn represent Valentine Z's Nature and Cats respectively. Anna, naturally, is the one that represents happiness, like Joy, if you will. Even then, Anna has made it a point that other emotions are completely valid and fine, and that the Valentians should not be happy no matter what; rather, to have the emotions that they need, while also trying their best to see a brighter side. The idea of not one but three personifications of a country being real is already one hell of a question, and now with her driving a race car, it is yet another one of those things that made Valentine Z a rather difficult and weird country to decipher as a whole. Anna drives a #10 and now would have to go for the qualifications once again to get a chance. She is optimistic, that's all she needs.
Image

Head Secretary Jamie Izabella Maxie Clara “The Elegant and Magnificent Mathematician” Pernella Ellie Natie Lexie Marie Valerie Ruby Æstriðr Fni. Clementine Millicent Lizbeth Alex Cass Eirian is also another driver that is rather difficult to comprehend, at least, by stereotypical views that are outside of Valentine Z. One would expect someone like Jamie to be mostly a TV or movie star, and not only having done driving (they assume she would have a chauffeur), but that she would not drive a racecar. Of course, for the Valentians, it is yet another Tuesday, and for them, they are happy to see her racing a car and in fact being good at it. She didn't do too well on the last season, but it was mostly because of her being unable to secure her place through the qualifications. Her elegant (though frustratingly verbose) way of talking, her accent, and her general beauty and height, made her a Valentian darling with hidden depths, one that transcends her just being a pretty face. To make this all happen, naturally, Jamie want to get better than she was doing compared to the past season, and this time, she is sure of a few victories.
Image

Vice Foresittend Jolyn Maxine Caulfield Moira “Неуловимая, Женщина-шпион” Marlene Wendy Lucille Lapis Jill Khorosheva Vin. Zolina łnt. Natasha Vasilisa Helen Ceeta Tescelyn Maximovna might not admit it as often, and she would always say that she got help from her co-workers, friends, and every single people around her. Still, ask any Valentian, and they will usually say and point out that Jolyn would be the founding mother of Valentian education, and currently working as the Vice President of Victoriaans Nederlands, as well as the head of the Minister of Education for Valentine Z. Her focus on having less homework and exams over more engaging lessons have paid and worked well for her and for the Valentian children, and she intend to go on. For this season, we may get more insight of this education system – both the past and present – and on how she managed all of it. When she is not busy marking and grading her students' work (or going on espionage missions), Jolyn can be seen in her #76 for the Everlong. "I don't know what happened back then. I was just gone for one season, and I did so badly in the main one."
Image

Zastępca Strażnika Adriana Krystal Desiree “Cudowny Manipulacja Światłem” Venus Kowalski Faith Stanisława Engelse I. Cherise Krystyna Zaborowska Sztormowska Pamela Alina Re. T. Lillian, at least, the main version, is the Adriana that is driving for NSSCRA; her other clone is driving and working on the upcoming WGPC. She is also a younger sister of Clarissa Alanis Star Samantha, in the spiritual sense that Adriana is slated to be a backup for the entire computational (and physical) infrastructure of Valentine Z in her storage devices, along with the backups of Clarissa herself in case something goes wrong. Basically, if there is something that would go down and haywire, and if it is especially a computer or some form of data, Adriana will have it. Built pretty much like a tank, though still not as tanky as Marcus and his armor. All things aside, Adriana is ready for this season too, hoping for more.
Image

L. Cpl. Duruljiayiji Matthew Russell Victor Zackary James Adrian “Гэрэл” Rayleigh Vin. R. Jarchigudai Shinghk Bazile Aspertia Bachart Morris Tedbald Rollon Ingram Emlig Mauci Dayir Yerentai would find out that racing a car is a little bit more difficult when it involved the other non-Valentians. That’s not to say that he was only winning in domestic races through nefarious means, or that he has not driven a car before. In fact, he has raced in the domestic events before as aforementioned. For the first season, it is a terrifying and nerve-wracking thing to do, and to be absolutely fair to Duruljiayiji, he did pretty well in terms of overall points. "It can definitely be improved," he said to the press, as he turned around and looked at a certain distance, at another group which he believed to be. "In the meantime, I do would like to talk and socialize with the Sherpa Empire folks. They have always been nice, I heard."

Well here's an unexpected twist. The new era of Kytlerian sport is featuring an expansion into a sport that they didn't even touch in the old days!

OK, technically this isn't a new thing. The first Kytlerian international entry post-isolation was of that nature, and they only went and slani won it (the Elephant Chess Cup). And there hadn't been Kytlerians in international rally before Jonas Arendtsson and Dizabeg Whaariny showed up (and won rallies in!) WSRC 03. But neither of these were competitions with histories into the double digits. NSSCRA is, and now there are Kytlerians in it.

It's more a dipped toe than a running jump into these mysterious waters; the Kytlerians are all competing in the second-tier Everlong Series, as the junior partners of Quebecois-run Team Gregg's-Salamantel. (The Gregg's sponsorship is appropriate, given they are a Kytlerian chain founded by a Quebecois dual national.) Expectations are publicly being kept low, but then they usually are when Kytlerians debut in international sport, and if that sport isn't soccer, they tend to under-promise and over-deliver. (None moreso than that chess team!) With drivers like Lance "The Dealer" Edmonds - a hugely established veteran of the insular Kytlerian scene - not facing the absolute top-tier talent, there may be room for some actual optimism here. But staying away from that has served Kytlerians well so far, so why stop?

One highlight of the Kytlerian involvement in NSSCRA is the appearance of the unique Margaret Raceway tri-oval on the international stage. The three unique main curves are all 109 degrees with 10.93-degree banking, and they are all somewhat different from each other with the third being notably sharper. There will be some aspect of a road course feel to this one, and many Kytlerian racing fans think of it as a great blend of speedway and road-course skills. "I love this place, it's a true roval and I love rovals," said Starnwood local Robert Farnsworth, who will be a volunteer when the Gregg's 109x3 Challenge comes to town during what is expected to be the middle of the NSSCRA season. "You have to be able to have the rounded skills of a road course driver like handling gears and brakes, but you still get those fast corners and three-wide racing into them, it's a multi-purpose test and those international drivers are going to love it."

Edmonds thinks his experience will really count on this circuit. "I don't think anyone has driven that loop more than me, and certainly nobody I'll be racing here will have done, so I'm looking forward to that so much. It's not like any other circuit, and turn 3 really catches the newer drivers out because of the tight entry by speedway standards. You can't just take it flat out or the outside wall will have company. They have to maintain that bit more than anywhere else because of how many people crash into it, even on track days. Then the rest is really just getting into a rhythm around the whole circuit and being ready for that final turn."
Out of international isolation and... winning things? Huh?

Yes, that's right. Time flies fast like a stock car around a track, doesn't it? The 15th season of the NSSCRA Multiversal Cup Series is also the tenth season of the team based in and representing the Glorious Free Republic of St. Kanye, none other than Gale Force Racing. With 43 wins and a championship to their name, GFR is as successful as it is recognizable, one of the "big dogs" of the league, one might say.

The team receives factory support from Chadwick Motors Incorporated, St. Kanye's leading automaker, and as such go out on the track in their best-selling model, the Infinite sedan. The "Chad", as it's more commonly known, is also the car of choice for New Northwesteros' Direwolf Auto Team, 69X's Team Tsunopin, Quebec and Shingoryeo's Gregg's Team Salamantel, and Aphrilia's Dartsfield Racing Works. This season also mark's the team's switch from their usual Tropicorp branded tires to the Hapilopper-based Brimstone brand, joining a star-studded stable that also includes the Haps' own Team Blue, Valentine Z's Valkyrie Racing Team, and the aforementioned Direwolf.

#18 Jeremiah Brooke

Age: 34
Cica.da: @jeremiah.b
NSSCRA 6, 9, 10, 13 Championship Four
NSSCRA 7, 12, 13 Regular Season Champion
NSSCRA 9 Champion
1-Time Vilaye Energy Drink 314 Winner
1-Time TJUN 600 Winner
2-Time Pencurve Electronics 500 Winner

Crew Chief: Ben Warwick
Spotter: Raymond Goldfarb

He may seem very well like a bad boy with his long hair, beard, and taste for metal music, but Jeremiah is in reality one of the series' good guys, with a chill, laid back personality that makes him popular with fans and fellow drivers alike. He is one of the most loyal drivers in the field, being part of GFR since its inception in the sixth season, as well as one of the most accomplished, with 19 career wins (second most of all time), 24 pole positions (most), and the ninth season championship; he is also the first in the Chase era to win back to back races in two consecutive weeks, and is part of a select group who have both won from the pole and in his home country (though not both at the same time). Drama and controversy may be the backbone of today's NSSCRA, but Jeremiah prefers to stay away from those and just focus on the racing.

He and his wife Stacie (see below) are also the proud parents of a four-year-old boy named Jericho, who is beginning to display an interest in cars and racing and may very well end up in the league himself in the future.

Primary Scheme (15 Races: All not mentioned below except Jalton and Kardashia)

Secondary Scheme (5 Races: Kimi-Suomi, 69X, Kertheniia, Vilaye 314, Oxyrhynchus)

Quaternary Scheme (2 Races: Both Hapilopper City races)

#27 Stacie Houston

Age: 37
NSSCRA 6, 7, 8, 9, 12 Championship Four
NSSCRA 7 Champion
1-Time TJUN 600 Winner

Crew Chief: Marinette Harbaugh
Spotter: Roger Fenty

Stacie, originally from the now defunct (or is it just dormant?) Team Cassadaigua is one half of the Cup Series' "Stacemiah" power couple, the other being her husband Jeremiah (see above). Despite taking the eleventh season off due to her pregnancy with Jericho, switching manufacturers from Team Cass' Blazes to GFR's Chads, and now being one of the older drivers in the field at 37, the short track master's skills have not deteriorated, as she kept recording dubs and booking herself tickets to the playoffs. When not on the track, one of Stacie's favorite pastimes is to watch and support the Dagan delegation in other sports tournaments.

#46 Thea Alvarez

Age: 27
Cica.da: @luna.althea
NSSCRA 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14 Championship Four
2-Time Kardashia Chadwick Dealers 400 Winner (big deal for her given it's her home track)

Crew Chief: Kaley Curtis
Spotter: Elyse Hightower

Thea is considered by many to be the greatest driver in the league without a championship, though not for lack of trying - her seven Championship Four appearances in nine prior seasons is a record. Like teammate Jeremiah, she is another example of looks being deceiving - underneath the sweet, childish and innocent image she shows off the track lies a huge threat while on it, one you would not want to be engaging in battle with when victory is on the line (her 16 career victories are solid proof of that). Opinions on this ever-rising star are divided among race fans, with some (especially girls) being in full support of her, while others have been criticizing her for dating one of the sport's most controversial figures, Team Tsunopin's lead driver and namesake Ilya Tsunopin. Only time will tell if Thea succeeds in taming the bearded beast that is his boyfriend, or if it is she who will end up crossing over to the wild side.

Thea will have to adjust to the departure of her longtime spotter Naomi Hoff, who left to pursue a teaching career in the Sherpa Empire. They still retained their friendship and keep in touch at times, however.

Postby The Great Lakes and St Lawrence River » Sat Nov 11, 2023 11:28 pm

Alyssa Smith was the newly-appointed team principal of Gichigami Racing and she still found it hard to believe that life had led her to such a position. She was born on in a small town on the shores of Lake Superior, and as a little girl she liked to play by the lake. She talked to the fish in the way that little kids will talk to just about anything. Then when she was five, her father got a new job and her family moved away from the lake. When she started school, none of her teachers or classmates believed that fish could talk. They laughed at Alyssa when she talked about her childhood friendships with fish she found in the lake, and over the years they convinced her that she had imagined the whole thing. By the time she went off to college, Alyssa was firmly convinced that the fish she talked to were just imaginary friends.

But then she returned home. Her grandfather was diagnosed with cancer around the same time that Alyssa graduated from college, and she decided to move back to her hometown so she could help look after him. It was difficult to watch him struggling through his chemo treatments. One afternoon after seeing her grandfather in a particularly sad state, Alyssa went down to the lake to clear her head. She sat by the shore and cried. She saw a fish swimming near her feet and her mouth cracked into a half-hearted smile. "I wish you guys really could talk," she said. "Then I'd have someone to talk to."

The fish flinched in surprise and wriggled around anxiously, but after a few moments it decided it could trust Alyssa with the truth: "We can talk."

Alyssa was so startled that she nearly lost her balance and slipped off the rock where she was sitting -- but that was the moment everything changed. It didn't cure her grandfather's cancer, but it was the beginning of Alyssa's diplomatic career. A couple of years later she became a citizen in the Kingdom of Gichigami, and she worked as an ambassador helping the fish navigate their relations with humans.

Gichigami Racing was a subsidiary of Fitz Motors, one of the Great Lakes' most successful submarine maunfacturers. (Most of the submarines are filled with water and they never go up to the surface. They just travel around in the depths of the lake.) Fitz felt that they could handle the engineering to put a competitive car on the track, but they wanted someone human to manage the drivers and the international media. So they hired Alyssa.

Alyssa had watched NSSCRA before and she had some idea of how it worked, but she was not any sort of insider. In fact, she was way out of her depth and she was sort of making things up as she went. She started without any established relationships with drivers or sponsors. The fact that she had somehow managed to put together a decently-funded team with three veteran drivers was already a success beyond her wildest dreams. Part of it was just having the good luck to be in the right place at the right time. When she was looking for sponsors, Tropicorp was trying to rebuild their brand in the wake of some recent controversies. When she was recruiting drivers, there was an ample selection of free agents on the market. She still had no idea how she had managed to impress Gilli'i, Ongmu, and Kosaryova enough to actually sign them, but she certainly wasn't complaining.

She was nervous as she introduced the drivers to their new team and gave them a tour of Gichigami Racing's headquarters. She still admired Gilli'i, Ongmu, and Kosaryova as celebrities; and it was hard to change her mindset to think of them as her employees. She showed them the submarine and amphibious haulers they would be using to travel the NSSCRA circuit, as well as introducing them to a motley assortment of fish, eels, and merpeople who worked for the team. George Pike, the CEO of Fitz Motors, swam up to the glass the separated the air-filled rooms from the water-filled ones and told them, "It's a huge honor to have all of you driving for us. This team definitely has the talent to make a splash."

@REALRVictor

Though the #RaddicalCommunists tried, they have failed to keep me from the NSSCRA once again this year. My charter is guaranteed. Time to show these #loosers what speed is.

Kyle Rivers had been looking forward to showing what he could do on the international stage up until the moment he found out a certain bloviating idiot had once again bought his way into participating as well. He'd kept up with Twii.tur a couple seasons ago, and he'd been a friend/rival of Gordon Busch since the start of the latter's career, and everything he knew about Victor told him the manbaby was the same on the track as he'd been when he'd tried, and failed, to run for senator of 10 different states in as many years (damn whatever pencil-pusher decided to make *every* year a Congressional election year. It was bad enough you had to be richer than God just to get TV with commercials every four minutes instead of every two back when you only had to watch the mudslinging every two years.).

Nashville Fried Trout had been *explicitly* clear on one point, as soon as the moron announced his repeat entry into NSSCRA like he was announcing candidacy for the Presidency, that Kyle was to have absolutely NOTHING to do with Ronald Victor. If he was having a drink in a bar and Victor walked in, Rivers was to leave. No group photos for any reason if Victor was in them, no PR with Victor, no pairing on the track with Victor. If Victor asked for the time, Rivers was not to answer. Incurring the wrath of the National Embarrassment was deemed preferable to being seen as in his camp, and it chafed Kyle something fierce. One more annoyance courtesy of Ronald Leeroy Victor.

DARTSFIELD RACING WORKS

BASED IN: Dartsfield Town, Noblemore County, Goldenleaf Province

TEAM SPONSORS: The BreadHouse, Coptonne Retails, Azure Lights Studios, FTOP Manufacturing, The Plume, BEATwave Music, The Weekly Tech, Ice-Eyes, Nirvana Pharmaceuticals

ORIGINS:
Dartsfield Racing Works Engineering, also known as just Dartsfield Racing Works (DRW), is currently in Formula International Eluwa (FIE) and Formula Aphrilia (F-APH) as an Aphrilian based racing team. The team and organization was founded by Marcus Busche and Tristan Walcott during the 1980s after the what is known in Eluwa as "The World War". Busche and Walcott served in the war for Aphrilia, but were discharged early on due to injuries. The team is based within Dartsfield Town on a massive plot of land that holds all team facilities, including a test track and it is located near a former Formula Aphrilia circuit known as the Dartsfield-Hyperpower Circuit.

DRW has plenty of interests beside their national and world's motorsports, with their entry into NSSCRA 15 by running a car for Alexander Rivier. DRW has also established DRW Manufacturing whom produce commercially viable cars for the public by using FIE and F-APH technology and DRW Racing Point, a public institution dedicated to help those who are interested in motorsport to further involve themselves with the racing world full time whether it be as a racing driver, mechanic, engineer, or something else entirely.

I.E This team is domestically great, realm-wise internationally mid and it's NSSCRA performances will be told with time. It's rich, but piss poor compared to the other NSSCRA teams.

IMPORTANT TEAM PERSONNEL

Image
TEAM OWNER: Marcus Busche
Former tank driver, mechanical engineering graduate at Luther City University, now businessman and team owner, Marcus Busche is one of the more influential people within Aphrilia as he is essentially the co-owner of the largest motorsports team in the country. While consistent domestic and early international success have been a massive help to get where he is now, multiverse wise the team isn't known at all. He plans to make that change with DRW's entry into NSSCRA. Despite being a businessman, he is hardly like one, preferring to show his more innate and human side to the public unlike his fellow co-owner. But don't let this bright energy fool you, for he is quite the negotiator and hardly one to be underestimated. One thing to note however is that he can often be seen along with the team in the paddock or pit (Or whatever one calls it) helping the team during races. And from time to time he may also just be another spectator among the stands, and when he shows up to either some people take glances.

Image
TEAM OWNER: Tristan Walcott
Former tank gunner, a sports scholarship and economics graduate at Estherford University, now a fellow businessman and team owner with his best friend, Walcott is equal in terms of influence to that of Busche but somewhat lacks in popularity and presence. The largest reason is due to the fact that he is the one who focuses on the business and economics side of the team while Busche keeps his attention to public presence. Tristan Walcott is quite the contrary to Marcus Busche, often a serious fellow whom resonates a rather cold aura. He loves keeping things concise and precise. The lack in public presence is also associated to him often staying in Dartsfield Town to manage the business away from prying eyes, making sure everything is rolling smoothly and continuously moving forward. The only times you could see him outside of Aphrilia was if he was with Busche, as a spectator to watch the race. He doesn't let his serious facade down often, with Marcus being the only one abl to do it whenever they are travelling.

Image
TEAM PRINCIPAL: Eddie Cosworth
No one in Aphrilia has any experience with managing a stock car team as the team principal, so Dartsfield Racing Works decided to go for one of the most experienced former drivers they could get. Despite having been in isolation until the late 1960s, Aphrilia still had motorsport running through it's blood. The concepts, the regulations, the things that they know of the sport despite being in isolation was discovered through trade and it is one of the many things Aphrilia learned. And with it, one of Aprhilia's earliest racing drivers, Eddie Cosworth, is leading this project in head first into a new world of motorsport. He participated in early motorsport events such as one-time grand prix' during the isolation period and sometimes joined in on small racing championships throughout the 1920s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and early 60s. He also was one of the key individuals that kickstarted DRW, being the team principal for their first three seasons in the Formula Aphrilia. After those 3 seasons, he originally retired from the motorsport world to focus on his family. But now that he's being called back by the team that gave him his final farewell, it's time that he is given a well deserved welcome for his return to the racing scene.

Image
DRIVER COACH: Christian Nimrac
A long time reserve driver for multiple teams throughout his time being involved in Formula Aphrilia, Christian Nimrac decided that if he couldn't be able to fulfill his dream of starting at least 40 Formula Aphrilia races then he could at least help others achieve their racing dreams. In his free time, he'd often visit the DRW Racing Point as a guest star for the classes there, maybe he would give out a lecture or two. And now, DRW has called him up to coach a younger driver in a completely new series. Nimrac will have to do extensive research to be able to coach Rivier, but that's what he likes. He still learns new things that he himself can implement and the fact that he'd be a mentor to someone felt extraordinary. Someone who will be coached explicitly by him and he feels certain that he could do it. Another bonus is the fact that he will be the team's reserve driver should something happen to Rivier during a race. NSSCRA is more contact heavy afterall, so perhaps he could get a race or two if fate gives it to him. But Christian Nimrac understands that his priority is to coach Alexander Rivier, and despite ramifications, he is 100% up to the task of doing so.

THE DRIVER
Image
ALEXANDER RIVIER #67
F-APH STARTS: 16 | WINS: 0 | F-APH CHAMPIONSHIPS: 0
CREW CHIEF: Jeremy Grimmsbury | SPOTTER: Amanda Sumner
DRIVING STYLE: Smooth | DEMEANOR: Mixed | RETALIATION: Very unlikely.

A young Aphrilian coming from the small seaside city of Fernstead, Alexander Rivier was born to parents who were both fishermen. Growing up and wanting to escape his family's reality of being economically poor, he found karting at the age of 6. He would help his parents sell fish around the city market and would do his classmate's homework in order to get money to head out to the local rental karting track. And anyone who saw how he raced knew he had talent. From his simple control of the steering wheel and the fluidity of his turns, to the tight turning radius and sharp brake control, even the owners of the rental were impressed with his talent and they recommended him to a karting team by the age of 9. When his parents found out, they were extremely worried but proud at the same time. Something he excelled at but at the chance of injury and, in the extreme case, death? Alexander reassured his parents, and while skeptical, they decided to believe in his capability. He would win some karting races and his provincial championship to finish 5th in the national championship. By the time he was 14, he moved into cars. Alexander quickly got used to it as well.

He sticked to his strengths while doing his best to iron out the weaknesses he had with the team he was signed to. Although the lack of money was holding him back, his capability proved otherwise as he won the Aphrilian Formula Tier III and finished in the top four in the Aphrilian Formula Tier II. All of that was enough to get him signed to a Formula Aphrilia team. The largest issue with that is the fact that the team that signed him was Cosmic Racing, whom were a backmarker and his teammate was a somewhat bratty paydriver by the name of Peter Stabble. Throughout the 16 race season, Rivier drove whatever car Cosmic had assembled to hell and back trying to finish in the top ten to get points. Meanwhile, Stabble was constantly crashing the car and being somewhat of a nuisance for everyone else. Yet despite the effort, Rivier's lack of experience showed as he also retired from 9 out of the 16 races he did. His best performance was a 7th place finish in a race where 7 drivers retired and 3 safety cars were deployed. Sadly, due to his lack of experience, not bringing in any money for team investment and the crashes he had throughout the year, Cosmic Racing decided to drop Rivier from the team to sign up a much older and experienced driver. And that left him without a racing seat for next season. His parents tried convincing him to leave racing behind due to their worry on his mental health and the worry of him potentially dying on the race track, but Rivier still wanted to drive race cars... No matter what. And with that, DRW offered Rivier a contract to drive the one car they are setting up for NSSCRA.

Alexander Rivier is a calm and collected individual who doesn't let things get to his head most of the time. Despite the lack of experience with what the multiverse calls "stock cars", he is certain he can make something out of it. His smooth driving style will be something to keep note of, especially once you know his demeanor whenever he is on the race track and talking on the radio. Alex can get quite emotional of times, but a thing to note is that all of it is in the heat of the moment. Alexander Rivier is not the type of person to hold grudges and he is someone you can negotiate things with. Growing up to a poor family, he is also rather modest and doesn't spend money on things often. He would rather save his money for future use or investment. Along with it, his parents taught him honesty and mixed in with the bluntness that he has due to his living conditions, you have the recipe for one brutally honest driver who tries to stay calm and also someone who can get angry if he reaches a breaking point. Other than that, Rivier is a nice person.

IC NOTE:
The motorsporting level in Eluwa is usually (Nation) Formula (Name of third tier) > (Nation) Formula (Name of second tier) > Formula (Nation) > Formula International Eluwa. Some countries in Eluwa such as Aphrilia, despite their national series being treated as a feeder series for FIE treat it as their own national racing series.

The Team Blue Shop, Hapilopper City
A couple weeks before the start of NSSCRA 15
When one walked into the visitor entrance of the Team Blue shop in Hapilopper City, you could see three large pictures – exaggerated artist’s renderings of the team’s three NSSCRA drivers. There was Drake Stevenson, shirtless, more muscular than he actually was, planting the Hapiloppian flag down on top of a mountain, a massively intense look on his face. There was Rinzi Zakhilwal, standing on top of a mountain, his long hair flowing wildly in the breeze, lightning striking behind him. And there was Chris Holmes, sitting in a forklift, a huge smile on his face. Obviously, two of those pictures sounded more awesome than the other.

As Chris Holmes walked into the Team Blue shop for the first time this season, he felt like the other two drivers were more awesome than he was. He just felt like he was going through the motions, while there was so much ahead for both Drake and Rinzi. After all, Drake was the defending NSSCRA champion and as a result, the finest stock car racer in the entire multiverse. Meanwhile, Rinzi had led the league in race wins, and it was growing increasingly obvious that Preston Autos and Team Blue was throwing their full weight behind Rinzi, and they wanted everyone to know it.

The signs all across Hapilopper City – hell, all across the Dominion – spoke it loudly and proudly. Preston and Team Blue had declared this year to be the “Year of Rinzi” – the year that the Carpet Khan from Sherpaland won the NSSCRA title. It was a bold declaration, but after last season, it seemed like it might have had basis in reality. The team was in the best shape it was ever in. The team was the strongest it had ever been. Drake Stevenson and Rinzi Zakhilwal were considered odds-on favorites for the championship.

Image
Billboards like this, proclaiming this season to be the "Year of Rinzi", popped up all over Hapilopper.

But Chris, on the other hand, was another story entirely. It seemed like he wasn’t a contender for race wins, he wasn’t a contender for championships, he wasn’t going to contend week in and week out – he was just there. And he knew it, too.

During the offseason, he and his wife Angela had a lengthy conversation about his future as a driver. He had plenty of money stashed away – more than enough to live very comfortably for the rest of his life, and more than enough to support his son – and a second child apparently on the way. In addition, it was clear that Chris was dreading the resumption of his routine – leave for the airport on Thursday morning, fly out to some far-away place, return home on Monday, sleep all day, and only have Tuesday and Wednesday to spend with his family.

He was growing tired of that routine. And he was growing tired of having to spend so much time riding in airplanes, sleeping in a motorhome away from his family and away from what people considered a “normal” life.

One night, at the dining room table after his son Zack had been put to bed, Chris and Angela talked it out.

“I don’t know if I want to do this anymore,” Chris said. “I mean, it’s just… it’s not fun. It was fun when I was younger but now… it just ain’t fun anymore. It’s less something I look forward to each day and now something I have to do. I’m going to see, but I want to see if I can afford to get away from it.”

“Well, just know I support you all the way,” Angela responded. “I saw what you make, and it’s not really like you spend that so much. I mean, look at this place. Does this place look like you make all that money?”

“That’s why I got it,” Chris said. “I wanted to have something stashed for us. You know, us. Not for some hobby, not for some impulsive what the fuck, but you know, us.”

Angela nodded her head.

“What do you think I should do?” Chris asked. “I mean, my contract runs out at the end of this year. Shelton wants me to consider re-signing but I don’t know if I want to. I don’t know if I want to keep doing this. I’m tired of traveling everywhere. But… I still love racing, you know?”

“Chris, I think you need to make a decision that you’ve thought about,” Angela responded. “Don’t rush into one. Don’t force yourself to make a decision immediately and then you realize you’ve screwed up. Don’t make a decision now. Don’t tell me you want to do one thing or do another thing today. Give it some time. Sleep on it. Talk to Shelton. Talk to Drake. Talk to Rinzi. Try to figure out which decision is the right one for you.”

Chris nodded his head.

Chris thought about that as he walked into the Team Blue shop – the idea that he didn’t want to travel all over the multiverse anymore, the idea that he wanted to spend more time with his family every weekend, instead of going all over. He could take his little boy to the zoo. He could take him to a baseball game or a football match – or even just spend more time with him rather than spending his entire time thinking about some race in Sherpaland or Vilita or Jebslund.

When he walked into the team conference room in the shop, he could see his lack of enthusiasm was very strongly the exception, rather than the rule. The other drivers were whooping it up. So were the crew chiefs and a number of other officials. Drake Stevenson and Rinzi Zakhilwal were very clearly having a very spirited, very excited conversation about the season ahead when Drake spotted Chris sitting down at his normal seat – next, interestingly, to Kenny Wilson, Preston’s driver having a miserable go of things in the World Grand Prix Two Championship.

“Hey Holmes!” Drake called. “Think you gonna win some races this year?”

“Yeah, let’s hope so,” Chris responded flatly. “That’d be nice.”

“Well, some of us were looking at this claptrap of an odds sheet that RaceWeek Magazine put out – big ol’ preview for the NSSCRA season, and look at this – saying you’re the weak link of the team,” Drake continued. “Some of these odds are really harsh. Just read some of these.”

Chris took a look at some of the odds and started chuckling.

Vilisorma Beverage Company Headquarters, Vilisorma, Vilita :: The Vilisorma Beverage Company have announced that they have completed a hostile takeover of Vilita and Turori Motorsports, the NSSCRA arm of the Rockii Coast based motorsports outfit that has long been sponsored by Vilaye Energy Drink and its spin-off brands including Vilaye BOOM! and Vilaye Roast. Officials within the Vilisorma Beverage Company had reportedly grown increasingly frustrated at the teams close ties with Tropicorp Racing Supply, themselves a growing rival team on the NSSCRA circuit, and their commitment to the non-Vilaye affiliated driver Yraaga Gilli'i.

Gilli'i, one of the NSSCRA's most decorated drivers in terms of races won, is potentially the big loser in the scenario as they have been dropped from the re-branded Vilaye EnergySport three car lineup and replaced by Jama'obo Pegasii, a former twii.tur Shootout champion and part-time NSSCRA Multiversal Cup Series driver. Despite having participated in the Multiversal Cup Series off and on since NSSCRA Season 6, the upcoming campaign will be Pegasii's first as a full-time NSSCRA competitor. With Team Tropicorp having already set their driver lineup for the upcoming season, Yraaga Gilli'i and Tropicorp Racing Supply had to scramble to put together a full time seat with Great Lakes Racing where they will be teamed with fan favorite Ongmu Yeti. While the oddsmakers don't see a lot of optimism for the teams chances at competing for a championship, with skilled drivers like Ongmu and Yraaga they could still surprise someone this campaign. If not, it is likely that Tropicorp will be looking to shake up their lineup for NSSCRA Season 16 with no driver more on the hotseat than Maddie Alexander - still winless in her NSSCRA Career driving Tropicorp's flagship #1 in Tires Dart.

A Look at the Vilaye EnergySport lineup for NSSCRA Season 15:

UrGa Motorsports Division
Stock Car Department

What else can be said about the 14th season of the NationStates Stock Car Racing Association (NSSCRA) other than the fact that it didn’t turn out the way that the Urotovsky-Gatutin Motorsports Division (UrGa) wanted it to go. As it was UrGa’s fifth season in the competition, it was supposed to be the season in which the Pridnestrovian-Fleftic team took the leap from rank outsiders to playoff contenders, and maybe even championship hopefuls. But almost immediately after hopes within the team were lifted, it all came down when Wilma von Cärinthen shocked the entirety of NSSCRA by announcing her pregnancy. This left UrGa scrambling to find a second driver alongside Rustam Yudin, eventually signing an UrGa stalwart from the Abanhfleft Racing Truck Series (ARTS), Agata Kosaryova. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the winning combination that UrGa hoped it would be, and though Rustam managed to get one win to put him into the playoffs, he was almost immediately eliminated in the Round of 16, and it was thanks to this and increasing successes in the WGPC side of things that led to the stock car program falling by the wayside in terms of priorities. However, now that UrGa has won the WGPC Constructors’ Championship, there is now a general consensus that the Stock Car Department will finally get the attention that it deserves.

Thanks to Wilma von Cärinthen’s absence in Season 14, Rustam Yudin has now taken over the guaranteed charter spot held by UrGa, and the returning two-time ARTS champion and now mother of one will be back in the must-qualify mix just like her rookie season in the multiverse’s premier stock car competition. Patricia nic Neill also returns to spearhead RouBax Racing, UrGa’s Everlong effort, still fulfilling the criteria of “safe pair of hands” that team boss Leonidas Baxter likes so much. The other side of the garage will be occupied by Eddie Suzuki, yet another ARTS transplant who had been hoping to find a place in another series like FISCAR or IRACT before eventually accepting a one-season deal from RouBax Racing to run the second Everlong car. With both the 42 and 60 cars taken once again (42 being Baxter’s number and 60 being Suzuki’s ARTS number), Suzuki opted to take to the field in the 06 car, reversing his preferred number.

Season 15 of NSSCRA appears to be a return to the status quo for Urotovsky-Gatutin, although the more things stay the same, the more things change for this team. Rustam and Wilma have swapped places in terms of priority for the guaranteed charter since Rustam did compete full-time last season and Wilma only appeared in a one-off at the Oxyrhynchus-Ryng to hype up her return. Meanwhile, Patty nic Neill may be a consistently safe driver down in Everlong, but she still has some way to go before becoming a serial race winner and competing for the championship. And who even knows if Eddie Suzuki would be able to adapt to NSSCRA like the others that had come before him? One thing is for sure though: Urotovsky-Gatutin will be one of the must-see teams in NSSCRA this season. But whether that’s a good thing or bad, no one really knows yet.

THE DRIVERS

Image
#39 - RUSTAM ILYICH "RUSTAM" YUDIN
Series: Multiversal Cup Series
Main Sponsor: Signbridge Industries
Secondary Sponsor: Mazetainment Games
Crew Chief: Oscar Abcede
Spotter: Paxton Ilishevsky
twii.tur/cica.da: @39YudinRustam
Driving style: Fast and aggressive but mostly clean
Retaliation: Will never hit you intentionally but will defend his position to the death

Both time and excuses are running out for Rustam Yudin this season, although he himself has said that he wasn’t really one for excuses. It’s now clear as day that there is loads of talent within Rustam, and that he was lucky that Guillermo Archer recognized it enough to put the Ceroatian driver under his wing. However, there are those who say that there are some high-ranking people in UrGa who don’t see what Gil Archer sees in Rustam to explain why the Pridnestrovians all but pulled the plug on his campaign once it was clear that Rustam wasn’t going to make it past the Round of 16 of the NSSCRA playoffs. That said, even Rustam himself admitted that he lost focus after his elimination and was just going through the motions for the rest of the playoffs. Despite all that though, he still remains committed to the organization and his goal of winning a championship for himself, for his mentor, for the team, and for Ceroat. But Rustam knows that winning just one race in a season is nowhere near good enough, and he has hinted at showing a “more aggressive and determined” side of himself for Season 15 of NSSCRA.

Getting eliminated in the Round of 16 last season was a very tough pill for me to swallow, and I’ll admit that it left me disappointed in myself. I couldn’t motivate myself to do much better for the rest of the playoffs while everyone else was still showing the whole world what they could do. But maybe it’s a blessing in disguise after all. After the end of the season, I had some time to think about myself and what I’ve done so far, as well as what I still want to do. I still want to win that championship, for myself and for Ceroat. But looking back, I now see that I didn’t want it bad enough. This season, it’s all about me needing to win the championship to consider this season a success.

Image
#98 - WILHELMINA "WILMA" VON CÄRINTHEN
Series: Multiversal Cup Series
Main Sponsor: Lesmash (Lesonetsk Machine Building Enterprise)
Secondary Sponsor: Belleza
Crew Chief: Deckard "Dec" Sullivan
Spotter: Terry Freedlander
twii.tur/cica.da: @queertrucker1998
Driving style: You go this way, and I go that way
Retaliation: Not right away, but if you're on course for a win in the last few laps and she's around you, don't expect to actually win unless you're really lucky or really quick

Wilma von Cärinthen took the NSSCRA world by surprise when she announced that she was pregnant just a few months before the start of the competition’s 14th season, with most agreeing that she didn’t really look like the type who would actually get pregnant in the middle of her racing career. Yet it happened anyway, and on the weekend of the Exhibition 500 Mile Race in Hapilopper in Season 14, Wilma gave birth to Ludwig von Cärinthen (full name Ludwig Friedrich Shinsuke von Cärinthen-Kawai). However, just because she’s now a mom doesn’t mean that her racing career would have to take a backseat as well. If Stacie Houston could do it then why not Wilma too? Wilma had to take a break from NSSCRA while riding on the highs of a deep playoff run, and she wants to pick up right where she left off. It wouldn’t be easy though; despite all the progress that the team has made in recent seasons, UrGa are still rank outsiders when it comes to playoff predictions. Then again, those predictions were made when Wilma was out of the team. Now that she’s back, surely this is the season that UrGa finally gets its act together and competes for the championship.

It feels really good to be back in a firesuit and back behind the wheel of a stock car. I never thought that I would be away from the sport for that long, but it’s happened anyway. And while I’ve been away, I’ve been thinking about what NSSCRA is going to look like when I come back, and how I’m going to stay competitive after such a long time away. As it turns out, I don’t really need to change all that much. I’m still the same Wilma von Cärinthen who first got into this sport all those years ago, but just a little bit older and I’d like to say a little bit wiser as well, but I’m not so sure on the second part. But I know I’m going to pick up right where I left off and go for that championship once again.

Image
#66 - PATRICIA "PATTY" NIC NEILL
Series: Everlong Contenders' Series
Main Sponsor: Kamandag Energy Drink
Secondary Sponsor: N/A
Crew Chief: Ollie Cullen
Spotter: Stephanie Palma
twii.tur/cica.da: @patty_nicneill60
Driving style: Drives like she's still behind the wheel of a truck (a semi-articulated one at that)
Retaliation: If you haven't swapped paint with her, you weren't actually at the same track as her

Turns out you can actually get some decent results on track when you’re not worried about whether the next check from your sponsor is going to clear or bounce. Patricia nic Neill may not have set the NSSCRA world alight in her second season in the Everlong Series, but she did prove that she belonged there after all. On the other hand, Patty hasn’t shown that she’s anything more than a midfield-caliber driver capable of nabbing the occasional win or two. Yes, she was indeed a “safe pair of hands,” as Leo Baxter, owner of RouBax Racing Enterprises, called it, but being safe isn’t really what wins championships. Then again, neither UrGa nor RouBax said that they wanted to win the Everlong championship even though many drivers would probably kill just to get their hands on that trophy. Or maybe Patty just hasn’t found the perfect teammate to work with. Ganglie Zhe was too much like her, another “safe pair of hands” that could tally consistent results while bringing back the car in one piece, while Benjamin Rumlow was probably still too young and too raw for this level of competition. Maybe now with Eddie Suzuki alongside her, things can finally pick up for Patty.

I’m not gonna lie, it feels good to not have to worry about when the next paycheck was going to come, and whether or not it’s actually good. That said, I’m still trying to find my feet here in Everlong, and though everyone else in the front office says they’re not really focused on possibly winning a championship here, I know that they were still disappointed when I didn’t even make the Round of 16 last season. I can still feel it even now. Like, they’re happy for me, and at the same time they’re not happy at all. I’m not really blaming anyone else for this apart for me though. I said I was going to bring it last season and I didn’t. So I’m not going to say that again because I don’t want to jinx myself, and I’m just going to do what I’ve always done: race.

Image
#06 - EDUARDO "EDDIE" SUZUKI
Series: Everlong Contenders' Series
Main Sponsor: Pixylight Electric
Secondary Sponsor: TBC
Crew Chief: Samuel Villafort
Spotter: Karl Magruder
cica.da: @eddiesuzuki_006
Driving style: Stays in his lane as much as possible, both in racing and in life
Retaliation: He doesn't

Eddie Suzuki is the latest driver from the Abanhfleft Racing Truck Series to make the leap to NSSCRA, although it wasn’t necessarily by choice. Eddie would have actually preferred to start in another national-level stock car series such as Filindostan’s FISCAR or IRACT from the Sherpa Empire. However, it turned out that actually getting into those series was harder than he thought, with Filindostan eventually shutting its borders for reasons still unknown and no one from IRACT paying any attention to Eddie when he decided to try his luck over there. This resulted in Eddie’s relationships with his ARTS team becoming rockier by the season as he wouldn’t commit for more than one season while he looked for opportunities abroad. It eventually reached the point where his ARTS team refused to offer him another extension, and Eddie looked like he was not going to be able to race for a full season because of his “shenanigans.” Luckily for him though, RouBax Racing Enterprises in NSSCRA just got itself a vacancy after Benjamin Rumlow acknowledged that he was perhaps still too young for international stock car racing, and Eddie accepted a one-year deal with Leo Baxter to drive RouBax’s second car and hopefully get himself noticed.

Sometimes life takes you in unexpected directions. I figured that I would let myself get some experience in a series like FISCAR or IRACT before finally making the jump to NSSCRA, but it looks like the racing gods have decided that I’m ready for NSSCRA whether I like it or not. I suppose we’ll all find out in real time if I actually am ready. I’ve seen how even champions like Gil Archer and Wilma Cärinthen struggled to get up to speed in NSSCRA, so what chance does a guy like me have? I have heard that it’s easier in the Everlong Series than in Cup, but I’m not going to take any of that for granted. And I don’t plan to be just field filler this season. I want to make an impact here no matter what.

DUISDORF MOTORWORKS
Official NSSCRA Entry

The Duisdorf Motorworks Corporation, commonly shortened to either Duisdorf Motorworks or just Duisdorf, is one of Abanhfleft’s oldest and most successful motor companies. Founded by Ixanian immigrant Ottmarr Hartmann, Duisdorf started off as a maker of farming equipment before transitioning to pickup trucks to serve a gap in the market for farms with yields that were too small to justify the purchase of an actual truck. Duisdorf also played an influential part in the birth of Fleftic motorsports, with the winner of the first ever Abanhfleft Racing Truck Series championship, Stefano Gatmaitan, winning in a Duisdorf Stetson.

Duisdorf is one of the “Big Three” manufacturers represented in ARTS, the others being Minchev Autos (now owned by Urotovsky-Gatutin of Pridnestrovia) and Bilingshurst Motors of Copper Cuprum. And, after purchasing a charter from UrGa, Duisdorf is now the second manufacturer based in the APOC Coalition to take part in the NationStates Stock Car Racing Association (NSSCRA). That said, one could say that Season 14 was “one step forward, two steps back” for Duisdorf and their driver Koshiro Kawai. Koshiro failed to make the playoffs in Season 14, and to make matters worse, he didn’t even win a single points-paying race as well. Yes, he won the Exhibition, but in the end it didn’t really matter. Nevertheless, Duisdorf are still optimistic that Season 15 will finally bring some good luck to the team as they continue their rivalry with Luxur and Urotovsky-Gatutin on the track.

PRESENTING THE DRIVER

Image
#58 - KOSHIRO "KOSHIRO-SAN" KAWAI
Series: Multiversal Cup Series
Main Sponsor: Sarimanok Mayin Airlines
Secondary Sponsor: Soft Jazz Cafe
Crew Chief: Teofisto Jalobillo
Spotter: Tetsuya Suwazono
twii.tur/cica.da: @KawaiKoshiro_58
Driving style: Hard but fair, although he does have a tendency to stick to certain drivers for far too long
Retaliation: Bump and run is my middle name

Koshiro Kawai (or Koshiro-san to almost everyone else these days) doesn’t need an introduction anymore, but here’s one just for the sake of those who haven’t seen him before. Koshiro-san is the champion of the 2030 season of the Abanhfleft Racing Truck Series (which happened alongside NSSCRA Season 10), and when Duisdorf made their entry into NSSCRA, he was by far the clear choice to drive their challenger, the Duisdorf Ascension. Expectations may have gotten a bit too big for him and for Duisdorf as a whole in their first season ever competing in NSSCRA, and that played a part in the team losing their charter’s guaranteed status coming into Season 13, but victory in The Race of Sonnel and a good showing in the playoffs meant that Koshiro-san got back into the list of guaranteed charter drivers in Season 14. Sadly, though he won the Exhibition Race in Tundra Falls that season, he never won another race after that, although he did come close a handful of times. Some gave him the benefit of the doubt due to the arrival of his newborn son with Wilma von Cärinthen, but those same people could very well now be saying that it’s time for him to get back to business for Season 15.

Last year was a season of ups and downs for me. I won the Exhibition Race and welcomed my son to the world, but at the same time, I didn’t win any points-paying races and missed the playoffs because of that. I didn’t even win a race in the playoffs as well, unlike Season 13. And it’s not like I’ve been doing anything wrong. I’m still racing as hard as I can, but also as cleanly as I can. And Duisdorf haven’t been doing anything wrong as well; we just can’t get over the finish line ahead of all the other cars last season. This year though, I swear it’s going to be different. Welcome to the Koshiro Kawai comeback tour.

Crown Lost...For Now?

Postby TJUN-ia » Tue Nov 14, 2023 1:12 pm

This blog was written by Derrick Carlisle, Jaguar Racing's Social Media Manager
Home of the Season X ECS and Season 13 MCS Champions

Do you smell that? The winds of change are in the air. Last time out, we had to try and defend a T1 title for the very first time and while we managed 4 wins and got a driver into the Championship 4, it simply wasn't to be...and Drake Stevenson finally ended up claiming that crown. It did suck to lose the gold but considering everything, that was probably for the best.

Now, the hunted is back to being a hunter...and the old aim is back: winning it all. All the cars are charters but these cars will hold sentimental value. This will be the final season that JR uses Dart cars for the foreseeable future. With that in mind, we want to end this era on a high...but can it be done?

"ÍSFRÚIN" HARPA GYLFISDÓTTIR

Age: 33
Place of Birth: Nýttheimili, NAU Zone
twii.tur @: @IsfruinJR
Managing Style: Straight And To The Point, Not Afraid To Make A Statement If Required
NSSCRA 14 Record: A Valiant Title Defence
Favourite TJUN Rep: Froslass (Faroe Islands/FRO)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Gorillaz - Charger (feat. Grace Jones)

Nýttheimili's finest and the sister of famous goalie Harold Gylfisson, you could safely say that Harpa Gylfisdóttir was happy that Daniel Marx bottled being the Team Manager the way he did because now she was the leader of a NSSCRA-winning team and no one in the whole multiverse could take that away from her. Now, she's back in the hunt for the crown and with a couple of aims in mind: get back to the Championship 4, make a larger push for a 2nd crown in either series and end the Dart era of JR with a bang. Simple, right?

Blogging Style: Tries To Get As Much Down As Possible, Really Good (In My Opinion)
NSSCRA 14 Record: Bog Standard DCar
Favourite TJUN Rep: Bisharp (United Arab Emirates/UAE)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Disciples - On My Mind

Ah yes, me! The Derrick Carlisle, the man who writes all the blogs for JR (including this one right now) is back at it again for another season! Of course, we will have MOTR and MemeWatch back for the 5th (yes, 5th already) time and I hope that this Championship Chase will get me back to my very best!

#07 MICHAEL "KAISER" STEFAN

Age: 26
Place of Birth: Studtgraff, NAU Zone
twii.tur/cica.da @: @Stefan07
Driving Style: Consistent Aggression (A Mark From His Open-Wheel Days)
NSSCRA 14 Record: 13th (2328CPts/1W/Chase Top 16)
Overall Win Count: 9
Favourite TJUN Rep: Ludwig von Koopa (Germany/GER)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

The most famous son of Studtgraff and the German community as a whole, Michael Stefan's 1-year absence from the Cup Series Chase ended up becoming the greatest thing that could've happened to him, the reset allowing him to refind his confidence and push on to become NSSCRA's Kaiser, a nickname the media adopted and one he fully embodied last season as a result (not in a cocky way though, just because it sounded fitting to him). Now that the crown has changed hands, the battle to reclaim it can now begin in earnest and with both of his teammates at his side, he hopes to make a charge back to the top!

Image
#64 ALFONSO MERCADO

Age: 24
Place of Birth: San Pedro del Vasquez, UAC Zone
twii.tur/cica.da @: @AM64
Driving Style: With Youthfulness and Ability (i.e. He's Pretty Good!)
NSSCRA 14 Record: 4th (5036CPts/2W/Chase Championship 4)
Overall Win Count: 4 (5 if you count S13 Ex)
Favourite TJUN Rep: Miles "Tails" Prower (Spain/ESP)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Years & Years - Palo Santo

San Pedro del Vasquez had a representative in the NSSCRA Championship Four and while he couldn't defend his boyfriend's crown on the day, the effort that Alfonso Mercado has put in over the last two seasons should not be forgotten at all. Many expected Mercado to not reach the same highs he did in NSSCRA 13, reaching the Final 4 with his boyfriend, but the fact went all the way again showed once more that JR was not a 1-man band in the MCS and should never be considered that ever again. Now, the crown is back to being a truly fair game and with a new hunt about to begin, the hope for #64 is another deep run...because that seems to be his mojo right now.

#03 MADDISON RILEY-JONES

Age: 25
Place of Birth: Wollongmatta Bay, UO Zone
twii.tur/cica.da @: @MaddyRJ03
Driving Style: Fun On The Outside, Determination Within! (i.e. She's Fun To Talk To, But You Don't Want To Cross Her On The Track!)
NSSCRA 14 Record: 18th (868pts/1W)
Overall Win Count: 5 Total/1 in T1
Favourite TJUN Rep: Sticks the Badger (Australia/AUS)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Men At Work - Down Under

Hailing from Wollongmatta Bay in the UO Zone (which is just the Manufano Islands), Maddy (as she prefers to be called) is not the only Champion JR has within its ranks as the former inaugural Contenders Series Champion was joined by Micky in the JR section of the TJUN-ian Hall of Fame. This will be her 5th season in the T1 ranks and while she has won races and shown promise across those seasons, the fact that she is still the only T1 TJUN-ian driver yet to make the Chase haunts her dearly. She is DESPERATE for that to change and she will be hoping that her cheerleader can help in this effort...especially since the Race of Oceania, her home race, is making a return.

Final(?) Win Count: 5 (6 if you count PS11)
Favourite TJUN Rep: IDK If He Knows What This Is...
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Same Here...

South Newlandia's finest only managed one appearance and 9 points in his role as Test Driver, but his help has certainly been appreciated no matter what happens out on track. You bet he will be hoping to take part in both Peninsula and Wollongmatta Bay this year and with the transition to Ddraig coming in due course, you know he will be hard at work collecting data on the new machinery.

#96 ALICE JEPKOSGEI

Age: 22
Place of Birth: Jiji la Ngao (a.k.a. Shield City), AU Zone
twii.tur/cica.da @: @AJ98
Driving Style: This Young Lady Has Pride On Her Side, As Well As A Bit Of Attitude!
NSSCRA 14 Record: 19th (592pts)
Overall Win Count: 3
Favourite TJUN Rep: Sableye (Kenya/KEN)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Benny Cristo - omaga

Last season was seen as a down year for JRT2, the inaugural champions of the ECS, but Jiji la Ngao's driving legend had probably the down year of the down year, going from 2nd in S13 to 19th last time out. For a driver that prides herself on her...pride, falling that far certainly stung and while she certainly tried to help in the Chase, that didn't amount to much either. But a new season springs new hope and she will be hoping for a great bounceback this time around.

#70 GONGMING GAO

Age: 29-ish
Place of Birth: Lanzhou, The Northern Chinese Republic (now resides in Tiankong, CEA Zone with weekends in Jiji la Ngao, AU Zone)
twii.tur/cica.da @: @GG70
Driving Style: Was Just About There For Beiyang, Now Has To Fight Despite Everything Around Him
NSSCRA 14 Record: 8th (4085CPts/1W/Chase Top 8)
Overall Win Count: 5
Favourite TJUN Rep: I Don't Think He Cares About This.
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: Or This TBH.

Gongming Gao made it all the way to the Top 8 last season as JRT2's best-placed driver, which was certainly an improvement from last season and that was all that we wanted from him. He certainly now feels like a more integral part of this racing team, which will certainly help mentally, but can he use that positive energy to make another deep run? Only time will tell, but we hope for some good times from #70!

#79 AXEL CHASE

Age: 19
Place of Birth: Port Neptune, CU Zone
twii.tur/cica.da @: @AxChase
Driving Style: Blink And You'll Miss Them, Both On Wheels and Legs
NSSCRA 14 Record: 12th (3127CPts/Chase Top 12)
Overall Win Count: 0
Favourite TJUN Rep: Dhelmise (Barbados/BAR)
Favourite TJUN-Tunes Song: J Hus - Bouff Daddy

Hailing from Port Neptune in the CU Zone, a region more known for Athletics and Cricket above much else, the elusive Axel Chase didn't manage a single win in his debut campaign. Still, he somehow managed to climb into the Top 12 despite that. That's certainly not too shabby at all for a rookie driver and he will be hoping to build upon this and make some more noise in this sophomore campaign. As long as he carries on this path, he should be alright in our books.

Hei! Olemme Huuhkajat Moottoriurheilu, Kimi-Suomen kilpajoukkue! Last season was our 3rd in the land they call NSSCRA and while our backers at Kimi-Suomen Auto- ja Kilpaliitto (KSAjK for short) were happy with how S2 went, S3 was...interesting, to say the least. T1 struggled to get back to those previous highs while the battle to join T1 saw one driver in T2 make it to the Championship 4...and finished 2nd at that! Very weird but also very good...in the most confusing way possible.

For this 4th attempt at this thing, things have certainly changed - new numbers, an expanded lineup, a partnership with another KSAjK organisation and a full fucking region switch brought about by exceptional circumstances. Kimi-Suomi is now a full member of Anaia and, as a result, anything linked to our previous region has been left behind. The full consequences of this have yet to be fully comprehended, but we can't focus on that now...it's time to meet the new HM.

POMO (The Boss) - Daniel Marx
Daniel Marx, or DM for short, is a figure many in his homeland by birth in JYK-inen (TJUN-ia to everyone else) will know all too well. One of the key figures in the formation of the MRO over there, Marx (aged 33) was chosen by the governing body to be the first team manager at Jaguar Racing and many would say he was doing a good job, getting everyone used to taking part in the sport and getting the team up for the future. But then came the now-infamous "DumplingGate" - where Chet Byrd, now long gone from the sport, made a comment at Jungle Fever I referring to Liangmei Li as a dumpling. That caused a lot of controversies, but what also did was Marx's attempt to apologise to Taylor Henderson, the most vocal of critics, by sending her the leftovers from JF1 - including some dumplings.

He never intended to send those dumplings and if he could go back in time, they would've been left out - but you cannot change what happened in the past and the fury Hendo three in his direction gave the MRO no choice but to let Marx go, not wanting the new team to be tainted by sexism before they've even managed to complete a single season. After that day, he stayed in the shadows in Riverside and avoided the public eye at all costs, wondering what could've been if he hadn't made that stupid mistake...but the itch of motorsports never went away despite the way he was forced out and when KSAjK were looking for someone to get HM up and running, the MRO (surprisingly for him) pointed in Marx's direction.

The expansion from 4 cars to 6 (or 5.5, if you're a realist) is now in full effect and now, the aims of both sides of the divide are clear. For T1, LCC is aiming to get back into the Chase while both #47 and #71 will focus on getting charters and then going from there. In T2, the aim is to just try and make the Chase - with more emphasis on #07 than on #73 and #78. That is the plan...but will it work?

NAAMIOITUNUT (The Disguised) - #38 Lam Chow-Cheung (林周翔)
Race Engineers: Huang Zhu (27, TJUN-ian Chinese, M) and Eila Juurikkala (32, Finnish, F)

Lam Chow-Cheung was never supposed to fly the flag of Kimi-Suomi at the NSSCRA level, but their appearance here is the result of a situation out of their or our control. Lam (aged 21) hails from Hongxai over in TJUN-ia's CEA Zone and showed a passion for motorsports from a very young age, initially supported by their parents and extended family. However, that would all change when LCC came out as non-binary to the world (ei-binäärinen in our native tongue, 非二进制 (Fēi èrjìnzhì) in theirs) - which means that while their preferred sex is unclear, they themself doesn't see themself as either male or female. They started using they/them as their preferred pronouns and wearing clothing many would describe as "androgynous", exhibiting nothing that would indicate they were a specific gender. But that didn't go down well with the family, who still called them "our boy" and kept calling them a disgrace to everything they believed in. They were swiftly disowned by the only people they knew - an event so traumatic, that they opted to wear a white mask over their face for the rest of that season...an act they continued for a long time, the supposed dishonour heavy on the shoulders until they felt ready to finally remove it publically after winning in Hap City.

Even after that pain, Lam refused to give up and became a force so strong that the CEA-MRO were practically singing their praises daily. With that much pressure, the MRO finally relented and gave Lam some big domestic races in Abanhfleft, Hapilopper and The Sherpa Empire to showcase their talents to the world. The plan always was that they would go to JR as driver #6 and hone their talents over there...but then Gongming Gao ended up stuck in TJUN-ia for reasons out of everyone's control and JR was stuck in a pickle, wanting to give Gao a drive but also wanting to give Lam a chance...so they called Marx. A deal was reached that benefited everyone: Lam would go to HM as the charter driver in exchange for HM receiving Dart cars and technical information from last season from JR.

So that's how LCC ended up here in the cold...and that was only the beginning. Season 2 of LCC in the NSSCRA would certainly be eventful as a debut win was achieved, a run to the Top 12 in the Chase was the reward and they and the Rainbow Kid officially became one. While Season 3 wasn't as fun, LCC is still a young driver (who is only now allowed to drink alcohol in certain jurisdictions) with a lot of potential on their side. They hope to make a charge towards making the Chase again with their friends at his side and considering the home race is a night this time...let's just say he may have something planned for that.

VUOHI (The Goat) - #47 Aurélia Karvonen
Race Engineer: Eero Casagrande (32, TJUN-ian Finnish, M)

The term "Greatest Of All Time" gets thrown around plenty of times in the world of sport, given to those that both deserve and don't deserve the 4-letter moniker, but in terms of the history of motorsports in Kimi-Suomi, there is only one GOAT to talk about: Aurélia Karvonen.
Karvonen (aged 33) has been a constant across racing in the part of the world ever since her karting days at age 15, long before we even got the idea to start competing in international events across the universe. She's done a lot of winning during her long career across a wide range of sporting categories. Moto, Rally, Stock, Open-Wheel, Endurance, GT, Trucks - you name it, she's done it and won a few races at that.

Naturally, when she heard the chance to race internationally for her homeland was on the table, she jumped at the opportunity and one year of experience in the AOGP series was deemed enough for her to try and get into NSSCRA races as a non-charter. She's certainly very passionate about the sport and won't take shit from anyone - but after three seasons of doing nothing spectacular, the Vuohi is going under a bit of a rebrand. By claiming the #47, she is going all in on the AK-47 image - including having her stop sign be an outline of that famous weapon (despite the fact she cannot shoot something to save her life). The AK-47 is loaded and ready to fire towards a charter...but will increased inter-team competition change her fate?

MYRSKY (The Storm) - #71 Ilmari Pëkannen
Race Engineer: Mikko Toikka (38, Finnish, M)

Ilmari Pëkannen (aged 25) was a driver who certainly had a bit of a reputation back home. "Myrsky" - "The Storm" - could be seen by outside observers as a "Finnish Drake Stevenson" - someone who's not afraid to push and shove on track and let his voice be heard on the radio. If anyone's gonna challenge Drake for the Radio Sweetheart crown, it might be Pëkannen - and he might take that as a compliment overall. Making it to the T2 Championship 4 and coming home 2nd overall was almost the perfect way for Myrsky to sign off his T2...but now, he can't rest on his laurels and he certainly cannot take a breather. He's in the MCS now, inheriting the #71 off of the Vuohi and now in the same boat as she is - battling for spots in the race itself. This will be a new environment for this Storm...but can he weather it all? Only time will tell...

RAUHALLINEN (The Quiet) - #07 Kaarina Salo
Race Engineer: Ida Easteden (28, Finnish, F)

The Everlong Contenders' Series has always been a favourite of many, a series in which both youth and experience clash chaotically every race weekend, and HMT2's expansion has only added to the potential chaos. The promotion of Ilmari to T1 meant that changes to the T2 lineup were guaranteed to happen...so what does it look like now?

Car #07 is still Kaarina Salo (aged 21), a prodigy some argued could become as great as Karvonen if she could pull her weight and show her class. Salo is known in the racing circles as "Rauhallinen" - "The Quiet", due to her quiet tone in interviews and how she glides so gracefully around a track, that it feels like a whisper in the wind. Putting a driver known for grace and elegance in a rugged sport like NSSCRA seemed counterintuitive, but sometimes it's not all about the driving style - it's about how you race against those around you. Last season saw her lose the battle with Ilmari for that T1 seat, and convincingly at that...though she knows that her time in the big time will come eventually. Now she's the leader of HMT2 and that responsibility will certainly be interesting to see her work with...but that won't be her main concern. She will focus on getting back to the Chase and that alone...

JOKERTECKEN (The Wildcard/Jokerimerkki) - #73 Georg Lundberg
Race Engineer: Brinolfo Algotsson (33, Swedish, M)
Till sist, låt oss prata om svenskarna.
Kimi-Suomi is, as you would expect, majority Finnish but there is a sizable minority of Swedes that have an impact on local life - even amounting to guaranteed representation in our Parliament. Because of this, the Swedish racing community have been desperate for a driver to call their own but none had turned up...until Georg Lundberg (aged 25) turned up. Lundberg entered the inaugural Kimi-Suomen Atlantis as an open-charter before ending up as the best local driver of the day...opening the door for him to get a seat at HM's AOCAF team. Ever since many have argued that he has been the most consistent out of the 3 drivers HM employed down there...which explains why he was chosen to ride the #73 in the ECS.

Nicknamed the Wildcard due to the circumstances of his debut, Lundberg is also a wildcard on the track as you can never fully know what to expect. Somedays, he's quiet until the very end, while on others, he aims to cause as much chaos as possible. You may not know who this Swede is...but you will soon enough.

HUUHKAJAT MOOTTORIURHEILU x TEAM ARKTINEN
TULEVAISUUS (The Future) - #78 Olavi Vile Ruusuvuori

Race Engineers: Henri Olsen (32, Swedish, M, TA Team Principal) and Martti Helismaa (30, Finnish, M, HM)

This seat requires a bit of explaining. You see, both of the other HM AOCAF drivers - Tapio Pellonpää and Marjatta Särestöniemi (both 19) - could've both easily made this team as the 6th driver and that would've been that. But instead, both of them are now HM Reserve Drivers while AOCAF seems to be impossible now due to the move to Anaia. Why? Because Team Arktinen. That's Why.

Team Arktinen is KASjK's Young Driver Program, an initiative set up to take advantage of the momentum HM has caused in the domestic scene to send young Suomen prospects into international racing competition with the backing they need to survive. OVR was chosen as the 1st driver in that program and as such, he was sent to the open-wheel NSGP OWARS series to develop his skills. That ended up doing well and a P7 finish meant that KASjK wanted to see more of him...and so, he was sent to AOCAF as TA's sole entrant. It would be here that OVR truly got people's attention, claiming KS's first win in the series en route to an appearance at the Chase. When you beat the HMs to the AOCAF Chase, you get the Pomo's attention...and so it proved.

Now, OVR (dubbed "The Future" despite the power of the jinx) has the whole world ahead of him and is exercising that fact right now, starting his 1st NSSCRA campaign at the same time as he will start the 2nd half of his WGP2 campaign. This fact may be a problem towards the start of this campaign but considering all he has done so far, many hope he will be able to deal with this pressure. This entry is a partnership between HM and TA, with personnel from both working together with one goal in mind: to let everyone know that The Future has arrived.

(OOC: Thank you to Abanhfleft for the gorgeous AI-generated picture of Abdoulaye, and to Saint Kanye not just for adding all the sponsor logos, but for reaching out to get me back into this competition and welcoming me onto his team. I'm really looking foward to this.)
Image

He's back--not that you realized he was ever gone. Abdoulaye Goita started his career off with a bang, winning the first competition he entered, WGP2 season 3, which in turn led to receiving invites to many other competitions: iROS, WGPC, NSSCRA, and recently even WSRC (well okay, he invited himself to that last one). He hasn't had as much success in any of those, but he's become very well traveled and made a lot of friends around the multiverse.

Abdoulaye will probably always think of the WGPC as his home, but certainly no one is as friendly or welcoming as the Yeezies, and so he's back to his old spot as their research and development driver, at least until the next season of the World Grand Prix Championship starts up and he gets a full-time drive there again. But in the meantime, he's here in NSSCRA where all the action is, ready to give it his best shot.

#70 Abdoulaye Goita

Age: 27
twii.tur: @GTAVII
WGP2 3 Champion
NSSCRA 9, 15 GFR R/D Driver
WSRC 3 Privateer (with Terho Talvela)
1-Time Grand Prix of Liventia Winner
2 WGPC Podiums
1-Time WGP2 Race of Nekoni Winner
3 WGP2 Podiums

Crew Chief: Rob Chapman
Spotter: Cody Day

Even before moving across disciplines to try his hand at stock car racing, Abdoulaye Goita was an outsider to motorsport. His home country of Reçueçn, to which he emigrated with his father and brother at a very young age, places little emphasis on racing, whether stock car or open-wheel. Not to be deterred from following his dream, as a boy Abdoulaye pursued a hobby in karting, and was able to convert his hobby into an open-wheel career after an abortive test drive at the tail end of WGPC 17 led to a contract with SVJ racing in the next edition of the WGP2. Abdoulaye won the series, which kicked off a career that would be marked more by cross-discipline partnerships with other big names in motorsport than by further personal achievements.

Mellow and unobtrusive, Abdoulaye is happy to sit back and watch things play out around him, but he is constantly ready to jump in when he sees an opportunity. Good-humored and with a "third-culture" background that comes from being raised in a culture that was not his family's, he's quick to adapt to any situation and make new friends, which has served him well not just throughout his career, but also with people like 3-time WGPC champion turned rally driver Terho Talvela and the Yeezy GFR team. He's just here again to hang out with his old friends and help them out with some R&D, not having super high expectations for the races themselves, but you never know what will happen in NSSCRA so he'll take what he can get!

IRACT is the Sherpa Empire's domestic stock car league, as well as organizing a smattering of events in other racing disciplines. In the early spring, before the start of the NSSCRA, IRACT hosts a short series of races to determine who will represent the league in NSSCRA.

This year the winner of that series was...

Image

Yi Tan 谭毅
Age: 22
Hometown: Changsha, Hunan

Tan started his racing career as a child prodigy at the age of 15, but he quickly got in over his head. After a wild year of street racing and other illegal activities, he was expelled from IRACT and banned from returning until he turned 18.

Tan returned to his family home and finished high school, but he never let go of his racing dreams. When he turned 18, he came back to IRACT intent on making up for lost time. He expected to be an instant success, and it was a rude awakening when that didn't happen. He went through a series of bad relationships and a stint in rehab on top of his struggles on the track.

The road to NSSCRA has been longer and more challenging than Tan expected, but now he is finally here, and he is determined to make it count. Will he finally realize his true potential, or will his wild side and his overconfidence get the best of him again? Only time will tell.

Lhakpa-TMW

Lhakpa-TMW is an NSSCRA team jointly owned by car manufacturer TMW and wealthy businessman Dawa Sherpa. Dawa is a lifelong car-enthusiast who also owns one of the nation's top open wheel racing teams, and both racing teams are named after his daughter Lhakpa. The family made their fortune selling farm machinery, and both racing teams are sponsored by Dawa Tractor Co.

Since it's creation, the Lhakpa-TMW NSSCRA team has employed one of the Sherpa Empire's most famous racing drivers...

Kai Qiang 强凯
Age: 33
Hometown: Guilin, Au Viet (Guangxi)

Qiang grew up in a poor farming family in the vicinity of what is now the Li River Speedway. His family's relationship with the Guilin Racing Club (who ran the track) was complicated at best -- Qiang was fascinated with racing and his father was desperate to keep him away from it. After Qiang's father was killed in a workplace accident, any hope of going to college and getting a safe middle class job fell by the wayside. Qiang had to drop out of high school and work to support himself. During those years, Qiang had little hope of getting a serious racing career off the ground, but the Guilin Racing Club offered a much-needed sense of community.

Qiang's talent caught the attention of Lakpa Fang, a professional baseball player and hobbyist racer who provided the financial backing for him to compete in NSSCRA 6. Qiang made the most of the opportunity and his success on the track was enough to attract corporate sponsors so that he could continue his racing career until the present day. He won the championship in NSSCRA 8, and although he has never matched that success in any of the subsequent seasons, he still remains one of the series' top drivers.

He has a large family with 2 wives and 3 children, and in recent years family life has taken up an increasing amount of his time. Qiang has a history of erratic behavior and mental health struggles due to his traumatic childhood, but his family has given him a new sense of purpose and helped to take his mind off the past. At times, he has even considered stepping back from his racing career to focus on family life. He sometimes struggles to handle the constant attention and media scrutiny that comes with being a public figure.

AutoModi

AutoModi is one of the most respected car brands in the Sherpa Empire. Like Lhakpa, they have a presence in both NSSCRA and the domestic open wheel league SIMS (Sherpa Imperial Motorsports). Outside the racing world, AutoModi appeals to a more trendy urban demographic, while TMW appeals more to blue collar families and rural residents.

Rinzi Zakhilwal started his NSSCRA career with AutoModi, but after he left for Team Blue, they replaced him with...

Tsering Chu 楚色林
Age: 27
Hometown: originally from Nanjing, Jiangsu; now lives in Guilin, Au Viet

Tsering is deaf and uses a system of lights to communicate with her crew during races. It hasn't been easy to overcome her disability, or to juggle a racing career with her education and family life. As a result, Tsering's career has been up and down. There have been some seasons when she was brilliant, but there have also been seasons where she floundered or didn't compete at all.

Tsering is one of Kai Qiang's wives, and her childhood friend Mendok is the other. Unlike Qiang, Tsering is well-educated and generally calm. The only time you are likely to see her lose her cool is when she is fighting for a win or defending her family. She is a huge daddy's girl, a devoted wife, and a very protective mom.

If there is a silver lining in being deaf, it's the ability to tune out obnoxious fans, nosy media, or squabbling family members by simply looking the other way. Tsering is sometimes grateful not to hear everything that people yell from the stands at NSSCRA tracks (especially in places like Hapilopper where the fans yell a lot).

Tundra Falls, Newmanistan
Several months ago

"And yeah, like I said, it was a team effort. Each one of us did well, did our part, and it paid off. I expect the competition in the next season to be at a higher level, and so it's gonna be tougher for us to try to defend this title and repeat. It's something to look forward to, for sure, but for now, why don't we just stay in the moment and enjoy this hard earned glory? Right? Right?"

Cheers and applause from the crowd.

"That's a very good point right there, well said. Once again, let's give it up for Jeremiah Brooke, quarterback and team captain of the now three-time champs, the St. Kanye Surge!"

Even more cheers and applause.

"Thank you. Thank you guys, see you all next Bowl."

Jeremiah exited the media center and kept walking, not at all showing any signs of being tired. He was not even an hour removed from what had been a grueling matchup against the 69X national gridiron team and their tough defense, led by linebacker Ilya Tsunopin, whom Jeremiah had a friendly rivalry with. However, 371 passing yards and three touchdowns from the Yeezie captain helped him and his team escape with the victory, the final score being 38-34. It was the rush of emotions that kept his legs moving, but Jeremiah did later stop and turn his head, however, upon hearing a familiar voice.

"Hey, champ!"

"Hey, there you are!"

The quarterback remained standing still, allowing his wife to run towards him with a big hug and a smile on her face matching the one on his. "Wife" here referring to Stacie Houston, striker of the Cassadaigua Fillies team that themselves won a World Cup a few months ago. Stacie scored two goals, including the winning one in the 94th minute, to put away Hapilopper 2-1.

"I was just walking around, looking for you.... ready to grab some dinner, Stace?"

"Sure, why not! Come here, you! What a performance out there, really showed those 69Xers who the true kings of gridiron were."

"Indeed we did," Jeremiah said with a chuckle. "Real talk though, they're growing scarier every season, especially that Ilya. One of these days we'll play them again, and I just know they'd be out for revenge, but of course we won't allow that...."

The two kept walking the grounds of the multi-sport complex in Newmanistan, talking and laughing amongst themselves. They passed the pool and the ice rink, and wandered on to the track used for motorsports. Near the exit, several of Jeremiah's teammates called out to him, similarly ecstatic and not at all exhausted. "Hey, Big J! We're going bar-hopping! Wanna come?" said Daryl Calhoun, starting tight end.

"I'd love to, boys, but I'm having dinner with Stacie tonight - maybe some other time?"

"Aight bro, suit yourself," said cornerback Sage Caldwell.

Both Jeremiah and Stacie waved the boys goodbye as they made their way to the parking lot. The rest of the night was planned out for them, as well as the next few days. They'll fly back to St. Kanye first thing in the morning, relax for a few days at home, watch the concert of Thea Alvarez (Stacie's favorite Yeezie pop singer) and then spend a week at either a mountain cabin or a beach house. It was the ideal offseason getaway for one of the most powerful power couples in international sports.

There is just one problem, however.

WE'RE IN THE WRONG UNIVERSE.

Back in the "correct" one, the Gale Force Racing trio of Jeremiah, Stacie and Thea are sitting in a team bus heading to the Kardashia International Airport. They are on their way to pick up open wheel star Abdoulaye Goita, who was flying in from his native Recuecn; Goita, who had previously made a one-off appearance for GFR, will be back for the team in this upcoming fifteenth season of the NSSCRA Multiversal Cup Series, in an expanded capacity as their official R&D driver.

While the full-time lineup for GFR remained intact, the season (which is also the tenth for Thea, Jeremiah, and the team itself) marks many changes and questions looking for answers. Thea felt lost during the last few weeks of the previous season; while she made it to yet another Championship Four, many felt like she didn't deserve to be there (including herself at times). Her history of choking in the title race meant that her being the last driver standing for GFR was the worst possible outcome for them, according to many of these armchair analysts online. Others pointed out that she is stuck being a #3 driver in a stout team, when she can easily be #1 somewhere else; moves to the likes of Team Tsunopin (which her boyfriend Ilya owns and races for) or UrGa have been floated around.

And then, the shocking news. With just three weeks left in the offseason, Naomi Hoff, longtime spotter for the 46 team, announced that she will be resigning from her position and moving to Sherpaland to teach. Thea respected the decision of who has not only been a valuable crew member, but also a friend, but also realized that she'll need to adjust to someone new telling her where the other cars are on the track every Sunday. All these factors combined left her with low confidence heading into the season, and if that wasn't enough, some Hapiloppian rag called RaceWeek Magazine pegged her as a 20:1 shot at lifting the Multiversal Cup, essentially the same as Islago Tizilna and behind names like Centur Tiones, Daryl Calhoun and Koshiro Kawai. Talk about kicking a girl once she's down.

Jeremiah was pretty much content in his personal life. A lovely and supportive wife, a son who shares his passion at a young age, a nice house, a bitchin' red convertible. But in the NSSCRA, he's chasing (heh) a lot more. That 20th career win, maybe a second championship. Not easy things to aim for, but he loves the journey as much as the destination anyways, so it's all good.

He also likes the new nickname bestowed upon him by the media, "The Bulldozer". It started with Jeremiah moving Drake Stevenson out of the way to win in Jalton, which some of the Haps got salty about back then (and probably still up to now). But he found a way to spin it into a positive, saying that it's a manly nickname and brings forth the image of a hardworking, no-nonsense driver who will clear his own path to victory. Even the heavy machinery arm of Chadwick Motors capitalized, showing him in their advertisements and giving him a paint scheme for the Hap doubleheader that's reminiscent of Chad's bright orange construction vehicles.

However, there's yet another thing that's occupying his mind at the moment, which is how he and his teammates will fare having their usual Tropicorp tires replaced with those from the Hap brand Brimstone, due to the former being caught in the middle of various controversies recently. Brimstones have found success in HASCAR, the Hap domestic league, but they're unproven on the international stage. The switch could bring them success, but only if they get to adjust quickly. Jeremiah put Brimstones on his red convertible and took it around for a drive for several weekends, just to get data for the simulator, and hoped it would be enough.

RaceWeek gave Jeremiah a 5:1 title shot, which he thought was absurd (though he has never specified if it was too high or too low). But he agreed with something the magazine said, which is to never count out the Bulldozer. This is true. Yeezie magic exists for a reason. No lead is safe, and anything can happen.

Despite being eliminated in the Chase early last season, Stacie didn't feel like her performance as a whole has declined. Thing is, she's now 37, the same age as Skip Stiller was when he retired from racing. The local media has started speculating about her future in the league, but all she's doing so far is shrug off every rumor. But for how long?

She was given an 8:1 shot, not bad, but she was puzzled at how the magazine called her the best among the female drivers of the league, and yet gave the Valentian duo of Anastasia Aye and Gwen Oxton better odds. Do different people write the odds and the blurbs? Or is the proofreader sick that day? "Whatever, it's just a harmless article anyway," she thought.

"Hello folks, one last message from your captain: we're about to touch down in beautiful Kardashia in probably about ten minutes here. Local time is 3:25pm and the temperature on the ground is a balmy seventy-two degrees. If you're taking a connecting flight, our agents at the gate will be happy to help you figure out where you're headed, but if Kardashia is your final destination, I want to thank you for flying Air Terranea. I hope you enjoyed your flight, and I hope you'll travel with us again!"

With a click, the announcement ended. Abdoulaye Goita, the Reçuecian driver who had won the third season of the WGP2, felt his ears pop as the plane began its descent toward Saint Kanye. He'd been telling his father for days now how excited he was to finally go and meet up with the Yeezies again, but now that he was finally about to see his old friends once more, he was feeling even more excited than he had realized.

It had been a very long time since Abdoulaye had been around NSSCRA. Back in season nine, in the wake of his WGP2 championship, GFR had given him their open charter a couple times, and each time he had spent a week or two hanging out with the team. Back then, Skip Stiller was still around, along with the familiar faces of Jeremiah Brooke and Thea Alvarez. Stacie Houston had still just been a competitor from Cassadaigua (although looking back, Abdoulaye realized that even back then, the signs of her eventual relationship with Jeremiah had been there).

Now NSSCRA was already in its fifteenth season. Abdoulaye and most Reçuecians had not really been involved in very much internationally recently, but the nation was coming out of a period of isolation and Abdoulaye had been the first to capitalize on it. He'd been watching the new World Stage Rally Championship that had sprung up during his hiatus (and which was already on its third season) with his dad, when he'd seen a familiar name: Terho Tavela, the greatest open-wheel driver of all time. Abdoulaye had competed against Terho in his season in the WGPC, and had been there to witness Terho win his third WGPC championship. After that, Terho had retired, deciding to rest on his laurels.

So when Abdoulaye saw Terho driving again in the WSRC, and then heard that he needed a navigator for the competition, Abdoulaye called him up and offered to help out. It had been a magical experience, sitting in the passenger seat next to the man whom Abdoulaye, at least, considered to be the world's best driver. Like he had done in NSSCRA so many years ago, Abdoulaye only stuck around for a couple races, not realizing that Terho, despite racing as a privateer, was planning to compete for a whole season. Abdoulaye was no rally expert, and it showed--he and Terho had a rough couple of races, and as soon as Abdoulaye returned home and was replaced by an Abovian with actual rally experience, Terho immediately ran away with the championship.

Abdoulaye felt a little bad for holding Terho back, but he had no regrets for participating--it had really been and incredible experience and a chance to try yet another form of racing that was neither open-wheel nor stock car. And now, there was an added bonus; the Yeezies must have heard that Abdoulaye was active again, and GFR promptly called to offer him an R&D seat.

That seat used to be Sage Caldwell's back when Abdoulaye had visited before, but now Sage drove for a different team entirely, so Abdoulaye didn't expect that he would be with the GFR crew to meet him at the airport.

The plane landed and Abdoulaye filed out along with the stream of passengers and made his way toward the security exit. As he passed through the doors, he caught sight of three familiar faces.

He made his way toward the group. They had seen him too, and just like him, they were all smiles.

"Hey champ!" said Jeremiah.

"Abs!" said Thea.

"I've missed you guys so much, it's so good to see you!" said Abdoulaye. "Thea, how have you been?" he asked, as he gave her a hug. "How are your parents doing? I still remember that one time you hosted me." He gave Jeremiah a hug next. "Shouldn't I be calling you 'champ' now?" Abdoulaye laughed. How many competitions have you even won at this point!? I don't know how you keep track." He turned to Stacie and hugged her as well. "So good to see you again, Stacie! And congratulations to both of you! I'm so happy for both of you; I wish I could have been at the wedding!"

The Yeezies returned his warm greetings and after stopping by the baggage claim to pick up Abdoulaye's suitcase, they all piled onto the team bus. "I don't know how you guys go anywhere without getting swarmed by fans," Abdoulaye remarked. "The sheer star power with just the three of you is insane."

"Abs, we've got some really exciting stuff for you," said Jeremiah. "Have you seen your new paintjob yet?"

"I've seen the render, and I'm excited as can be for it, but I haven't seen the actual car yet, of course," said Abdoulaye. "It looks so good, the GFR team does some great work."

"Congratulations on getting that Brimstone sponsorship deal," said Stacie. "How did you manage that?"

"Well, when the team called to offer me the R&D seat, they said that if I wanted to accept, I'd have to bring my own sponsor. I mean, I'm sure you're all used to it, but it's not how I'm used to things in the WGP. I didn't really know what I was doing, so I went for something I figured would be easy. I knew you guys had just switched over to Brimstone, and they're making their big debut in NSSCRA this season, but as far as I knew they weren't sponsoring any drivers yet. So I just called them up to ask for a deal, since I figured the early bird gets the worm. They were happy to have me, and I was happy to not have to worry about it anymore."

"That's nice," said Thea. "I do like their tires a lot, I'm glad we switched over."

"I don't even know if I'll be able to tell the difference," said Abdoulaye. "The way the traction feels is just so different from open-wheel cars that by comparison, two different stock car tire providers seem pretty much interchangeable to me."

"I'm sure you'll get a feel for it in no time," Jeremiah said, "and then you'll be able to tell the difference."

"Well I hope so! Otherwise I've got my work cut out for me!", said Abdoulaye.

"You've got your work cut out for you either way," laughed Jeremiah.

"That's true," Abdoulaye agreed. "I'm excited to get started though. I still remember my first run in the simulator, way back when."

The group continued to reminisce about all their old memories together as the team bus made its way to GFR headquarters. A lot had changed, Abdoulaye realized, but a lot remained the same. Most importantly, the Yeezies (including their new member, Stacie) were still an incredibly friendly, welcoming bunch of people who were going to be a blast to hang out with over the course of the NSSCRA season. Abdoulaye wasn't sure how many races he'd get to participate in or even exactly what his role as "R&D" involved, but he was excited to be along for the ride.

You liked it the first time.

You destroyed our stock the second time.

Like so much so, we had to quadruple our production order to meet demand....again!

So here you are, you sick fucks, it's that time...again.

THE OFFICIAL JR+HM INTERCHANGABLE CALENDAR, 3RD EDITION

Jaguar Racing have collaborated once again with our good friends at Huuhkajat Moottoriurheilu, this time with a little support from Team Arktinen, and famous TJUN-ian calendar brand Views of Time (or Tuairimí an Ama in their native Gaeilge) for this 3rd edition, one that will focus on JR's title hunt and HM's recent expansion to a 6-car program. You all understand the features by now, but just in case you don't or are new to this project:
- It is fully timeless as the TimeSwap technology means that your calendar automatically updates to the next year without any replacement required, allowing you to keep the pictures for as long as you want (those can be swapped as well if any updates come in the future).
- It costs USD10.00 (V9.50/7 ICB), with proceeds from each sale evenly split between JR, HM and Tuairimí an Ama.
- It's a great feature to have if you're a motorsports fan or not, if you're from TJUN-ia or Kimi-Suomi or from somewhere else in this vast multiverse.

This very impressive item will now be available in all respectable retailers in all NSSCRA participating nations, alongside the 1st and 2nd editions that already exist. Here's a preview of what images to expect, as taken during an off-season photo shoot in Eas-ar-Muir, NAU Zone.
JANUARY - "Der Kaiser Ohne Die Krone" (Michael Stefan)
The Kaiser is on the same throne as last time...but without the crown that allowed him to claim it. This picture is still subtly regal, as his status as a Champion can never be removed, but there is a determination within those eyes...one that seeks to get that crown back.

FEBRUARY - "Hope" (Gongming Gao)
Gao Gongming has certainly integrated into the JR system quite well over the past two years and this piece reflects that...quite literally at that. Here, he looks at himself in the mirror with a smile on his face - a reflection of the hope that has become ingrained into his personality. He's hopeful...simple as that.

MARCH - "Evolution AK-47" (Aurélia Karvonen)
Karvonen's got a gun...even though see doesn't know how to use one. Of course, due to the fact weapons are not allowed in TJUN-ia unless under strict circumstances, the magic of editing has allowed her to wield this famed weapon - one that will become central to her rebrand overseas. She is a badass...and this image hopes to show that.

APRIL - "Partners In Racing (And Crime)" (Maddison Riley-Jones and Robin Dragonovic)
MRJ and the Dragon, both suited up to...rob a bank, I guess? They're having fun with this concept clearly, with baseball bats and crowbars at the ready, and while this is certainly an interesting design choice, they look fun...so whatever works.

MAY - "Blue Moon" (Kaarina Salo)
The Blue Moon is an iconic wonder that is being celebrated here by Salo, who is looking towards the sky asking for her new purpose. Now the leader of the T2 side of HM, she has a lot of responsibility on her shoulders...and that pressure is evident here. Asking the moon may help...but who knows?

JUNE - "Fight Night!" (Lam Chow-Cheung)
LCC decided to go in a different direction this time around, suiting up as an ancient Chinese warrior...with make up, of course. It's still LCC with all the bells and whistles you like about them, but their expression is much more serious as he aims to break into the Chase once again. Their ready for a war...and maybe that's what they need to breakout.

JULY - "The CU BBQ" (Axel Chase)
Axel Chase's debut photo last time was very popular based on the metrics (we understand fully) and so with that in mind, he comes back again serving BBQ realness. Axel brings the fire with his "warm style", with a vest and swim shorts paired with sunglasses, a sun hat and a smile that could melt icebergs. This man is hot and he knows he is...perfection...and his driving backs that up!

AUGUST - "Alive On The Dirt" (Alice Jepkosgei)
Using the Mviringo wa Dunia to her advantage, AJ is serving command and control...with a look covered in that very same dirt the track is known for. We are people of the earth, of the soil and of what grows from it...and this scene frames that as a beautiful thing.

SEPTEMBER - "The Hunter" (Alfonso Mercado)
Evolving from the Leather Jacket Era of last year, Alfonso Mercado decided to become the hunter he has been portrayed to be...with a nice hat, a simple outdoors attire and a face that is h u n g r y for another deep Chase run. He's got a hit list and is ready to start crossing out names...one way or another.

OCTOBER - "I Can Do Anything!" (Georg Lundberg)
Gearg Lundberg, the Swedish Wildcard of HM, has finally arrived...and what better way to celebrate than with a spooky-themed scene that perfectly encapsulates the Wildcard mentality. Based on Jevil, TJUN Representative to Mato Grosso (Brazil), here he is chucking juggling balls into the air as the circus scene dissolves around him. Maybe he can do anything...but time will tell.

NOVEMBER - "T1 Tornado"(Ilmari Pëkannen)
Myrsky is now a T1 driver and to celebrate that fact, The Storm is picturing himself as a force to be reconned with as he stares into the camera with an almighty tornado surrounding him. He's ready for the new adventure that is to come...but is T1 ready for him?

DECEMBER - "Onwards" (Olavi Vile Ruusuvuori)
Finally, let us not forget about OVR - the next big thing according to everyone bar himself. Here he is simply portrayed like he is...shy, innocent and almost angelic in his innocence. To many, he is the bright future of Kimi-Suomen motor racing...but can he deal with the pressure here in NSSCRA?
