South Don was colonised by Salvania in the early 1700's before an influx of Salvanians immigrants arrived hearing of the large coal and gold reserves the nation possessed, however this was done upon the backs of the native South Donese which had led to tension between the white and native populations.
"I mean sir, that you are still a dominion of the Salvanian Empire and as such you listen to us and we refuse to grant you any sort of independence, perhaps in the future, but not now" the Salvanian replied
