HIPPOSTANIA EXPELLED FROM THE ANTI-COMMUNISM ALLIANCE,
AKIMONAD ANNOUNCES 'BREMER COROLLARY'

By employee of PRUSSCORP NEWS SERVICE
Published: February 10, 2013

BERLIN, German Empire — Today, the Republic of Hippostania was expelled from the Anti-Communism Alliance by the Alliance leadership in Berlin. This was prompted by a communiqué from the government of Azurand, a new caliphate that has recently joined the Alliance, saying that Hippostania's recent actions had been "humiliating" for the ACA. They claimed to speak for a "Silent Majority" when it expressed stringent disapproval of the recent conduct of the fervently anti-communist republic. Old Tyrannia backed Azurand's statements with its own communiqué.

Old Tyrannia — a member of the ACA Board of Founders — asked the rest of Alliance leadership to "reconsider" Hippostania's position within the Alliance, specifically, its membership in the Grand Council, the lower legislative governing body below the Board of Founders. The government in Berlin responded swiftly, saying in its response that thought the Board "does not particularly care about the reputation of any of its subordinate states," they came to the inevitable conclusion that "the continued membership of the Republic of Hippostania is ultimately detrimental to our Glorious Cause" — meaning anti-communism.

With startling quickness, the Republic and Commonwealth of Akimonad decided to react to Hippostania's forced egress with its own comments, the Akimonadi "Radio Free Haven" reporting a "splintering" of the Alliance. Citing a mistaken belief that the ACA is a "crypt-fascist" organisation — despite Fascism being close to non-existent within the organisation — and fervently denying the chance of improved relations with the opponents of Communism, Radio Free Haven derided the ACA as a "weakening" pact that is a "threat to liberty," showing its own pro-Akimonad bias and blatant caterance to the hypocritical republican government.

The Republic and Commonwealth even went so far as to announce a new "Bremer Corollary", an addition to their infamous Quigley Doctrine. This corollary declares as its intention to "oppose the Anti-Communism Alliance, its actions, and the expansion thereof," as well as to "undermine the ACA and eliminate its influence by all appropriate means," including providing "aid to movements and/or rebellions that oppose the ACA." Though this appears to directly contradict the proclaimedly anti-socialist Quigley Doctrine, as the only groups the ACA would fight against would be socialistic ones, the government of Akimonad appears to have no qualms about following their own creeds only when convenient for them.

New Belhavia — an ACA member state that has retained its position on the Grand Council after the recent election — has dismissed this quasi-sabre-rattling by Akimonad, as reported by the Provisa Herald. It cites the Belhavian Deputy Foreign Minister for Allied Affairs, Jacen Gray, as saying that "it is no surprise that the Republic and Commonwealth government would continue to denigrate the ACA and its member-states while continuing to engage in its hypocritical 'Quigley Doctrine,'" and that the Belhavian government has come to "expect such hypocrisy." Gray sneers at the Akimonadi accusation of the ACA being "weakened" by the ejection of Hippostania, saying that "the ACA is strong, and continues to play a powerful and constructive role in the world community."

The German Empire echoes similar sentiments. In a brief, cursory interview given exclusively to PrussCorp, German Foreign Minister Paul von Bismarck said that "the Republic and Commonwealth desires to advance itself with vitriolic rhetoric, and at this, it is adept. However, when put to the test, it is found that the Akimonadi state has no taste for confrontation, and will sooner withdraw these statements, or produce new ones, rather than assert itself in front of the international community." Though His Majesty the Kaiser could not be reached for interview, Minister von Bismarck assured the press that His Majesty was "unconcerned" about the Bremer Corollary, and that His Majesty "did not even deem the topic worthy of any semblance of a discussion."

There is no indication any government will take diplomatic or military action against the Republic and Commonwealth of Akimonad in response to its statements, and it appears most are taking them as hot air being blown by "the Quigley cabal," a title the current Akimonadi administration and its supporters are beginning to become known by.

TYRRHENIAN 'SITUATION' HEATS UP

By employee of PRUSSCORP NEWS SERVICE
Published: February 16, 2013

BERLIN, German Empire — Many Tyrrhenian governments are becoming apprehensive, as the balance of power becomes more unstable and the preservation of order becomes more uncertain within the region. The recently-begun war between the states of the International Coalition for Expansion — an expansionist organisation dedicated to spreading its own ideology and forcing it onto weaker nations — and the Grand Empire of Ralkovia, the rumours circulating regarding the regional security risk of the IASM, and other smaller-scale conflicts have caused many nations — within Tyrrhenia and without — to become concerned with the situation in the region.

The Republic and Commonwealth of Akimonad, under the guise of conducting "freedom of navigation exercises," has sent a naval task force into Tyrrhenian waters, in an obviously inflammatory designed to provoke and increase the uncomfortableness of the various ACA states within the region — states which Akimonad, regardless of individual ideology and conduct, has wholeheartedly condemned in its hypocritical Bremer Corollary. According to the Akimonadi Radio Free Haven article on the subject, Chairman of the Akimonad Joint Chiefs of Staff Fleet Admiral Stephen Lutvik, at a press briefing, said that these exercises are meant to enforce the "customary international traditions regarding territorial water boundaries." Though it repeatedly affirms its complete innocence and pacifist aims, it is a thin shroud that hides the true intent: provocation of numerous well-established Tyrrhenian states. Though the itinerary for the task force has been determined, the Akimonadi military continues to keep it confidential.

New Belhavia, an ally of the German Empire located in southern Waldenburg, recently released the Kalian Report, a summary of the diplomatic situation in Tyrrhenia and options for neutralisation and peaceful resolution of these conflicts. This report suggests a "workable arrangement for peace" in the ICE-Ralkovia War, and fully addresses the problem of the IASM, a dystopian totalitarian dictatorship south of Ralkovia, considered by many conservative Tyrrhenian countries to be a regional security threat, acknowledging it as a technological backwater and "barbarian realm of premodern savages." With its rampant warmongering, fiscal irresponsibility, and virtually psychopathic desire for war, the Titanician government is not predicted to survive very long on its own, barring any unexpected outside influences.

Other nations in Tyrrhenia, such as the Allamunnic States, have expressed concern over the growth of conflict in the region. It was reported by the Tyrrhenian Broadcasting Corporation that the Allamunnic government is apprehensive over the "emergence" of "jingoistic, reactionary" states in Tyrrhenia. Observing the newfound domination of the region by the Anti-Communism Alliance, they have increased their annual defence budget by forty percent, and begun forging alliances with radical Leftist nations such as Strolingrad. Despite the fact that the Allamunnic States would not even be "on the anti-communist radar," so to speak, they have joined the "Quigley Cabal" in living up to their de facto reactionary foreign policies by arming themselves against a nonexistent threat and virtually attempting to provoke the ACA to action where action need not be taken.

The IASM, despite the government's apparent bankruptcy and ghastly urbanite conditions, has also began 'beefing up' its military, after it's state news agency announced that five new Führer-class dreadnought battleships were being built for service in the Titanician Navy. The German Empire has not officially reacted to this unexpected turn of events, but it is expected that His Majesty is taking the idealistic and ultimately bombastic über-militarism trumpeted by the Titanician state well in stride, as always.

WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM BEGINS IN LONDON

Image
The British Houses of Parliament, Home of 'Big Ben,' a London Icon

By Andreas Tesch
Published: February 17, 2013

LONDON, Great Britain — The World Economic Forum began in London today. Hosted by the New British East India Company, this conference is expected to have great influence on the world, with several economic giants, such as the German Empire and New Belhavia, attending. Described as "a catalyst for the engagement of business, political, academic and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas" in the invitation sent around the world, some neoconservative and anti-globalist politicos have dismissed the Forum as part of a "liberal globalist agenda," such as political analyst and staunch member of the German Conservative Party, Gehard Oeckenpoehler.

Oeckenpoehler has, on his inflammatory radio talk show, attacked the Forum, encouraging the German Empire and other traditionalist states to "stay the f*** away" from the summit. Despite the status of the New British East India Company as a contractor of the Anti-Communism Alliance, he believes there are "powers" at work, to draw "our Great German Realm" into "some pseudo-World-Assembly-type shindig."

He is not alone in these beliefs. On PrussCorp. Television, many of those interviewed on the subject expressed disapproval of Imperial participation in the World Economic Forum, deeming it "contrary to our fundamental Bismarckian principles," as one subject put it. The government, though announcing no official response to these concerns, appears to have no fears as to the purpose of this conference. When questioned as to the overall purpose of the conference by a PrussCorp reporter, the German Deputy Foreign Minister replied that the purpose was exactly as publicised — "improving the state of the world."

In the official invitation to participate received by the German Empire, several subjects scheduled to be discussed were mentioned. These included the creation of an international currency, a universal reduction of national debts, the creation of an international anti-corruption court, necessary environmental regulations, closing "the gender gap," and supporting public over private transport. The NBEIC assures us that the WEForum will be "the staging point for economic, political and diplomatic negotiations and debates, focusing on the question: 'How can we ensure economic stability in the world?'"

In an exclusive PrussCorp interview with an anonymous, high-ranking member of the German Foreign Ministry, the purpose of German attendance was actually opposition to most, if not all, of these measures. His Majesty, being a known opponent of the World Assembly and other liberal globalist organisations, was, according to our highly-reliable source in the Foreign Ministry, outraged at the prospect of the expansion of environmental regulations and promotion of the female sex over the working male. The member of the Foreign Ministry said: "His Majesty, in keeping with his conservative image, believes a nation should be left to its own economic and social devices. The effective German socio-economic model is that the father is an acknowledged breadwinner; most women stay at home, to continue their maternal duties. This is not out of misplaced misogyny — His Majesty, in fact, has actually had known misogynists removed from his service — but out of traditional German values. He wishes to respect the popular culture of his subjects and, though liberalisation is undoubtedly occurring, this is one facet of life mainly unchanged." He goes on to say that His Majesty "is completely in opposition to further environmental regulation," and has ensured the sent delegate is as well, deeming it to be "contrary to further economic development."

This shows that, as always, His Majesty and his government are both always concerned about the well-being and opinion of their subjects. They have assured us, not through idealistic rhetoric and subliminal propaganda, but by action, that our Empire shall remain sovereign, the German Volk intact, and our society shall continue to reign supreme, our culture superior to all others. Our national opinion shall be heard in every corridor, even those deemed hostile to our base ideals.

Andreas Tesch reported from London, Great Britain.

HEROIC SOLDIER'S REMAINS RETURNED TO THE REICH

Image
The German escape route

By Hermann von Hassel
Published: February 24, 2013

BERLIN, German Empire — The remains of Feldwebel Elsko Muehleck were finally recovered from the German Colony of Persia today. A hero of the German-Persian War, a conflict initiated in retaliation by Germany and Nachfolgia to Persian betrayal in the Quirino-German War, this non-commissioned officer received massive amounts of publicity after he and his small squad of German Armee soldiers defended themselves in the rural hills of Persia for more than thirty-six hours, without food or water.

Under siege in the bottom of a small valley, they were able to gain cover behind boulders and large shrubs, for the near-two-day-long skirmish. The attacking forces — over fifty Islamist rebels determined to institute a new 'Islamic Republic' in Persia — surrounded the ten-man group that had been mislead by faulty instructions from headquarters on patrol. When the Persians opened fire, two men were wounded and one immediately killed. The men were then able to find cover, in order to return fire. The conflict grew into a standoff, with an average of one hundred rounds being exchanged every hour. Within the day — the patrol having begun at eleven o'clock that morning, local time — the German forces had begun to run low on ammunition. Upon hearing this news, the man in charge of the squad, Feldwebel Muehleck, ordered the men to begin using their grenades and handguns strategically in order to deter an advance by the Islamists. This held them off well into the night — a night that was, needless to say "utterly sleepless" for the squad, according to Gefreiter Jürgen Hofer, one of the two survivors of the ordeal.

The Islamists' attacks began to slacken around ten o'clock that night, local time. During this time, the German squad — now cut down to five men, with four of their number killed and one wounded — established a small defencive perimeter around their makeshift camp, in order to protect their dead and wounded. Having attempted to radio for help numerous times, they had given up hope of contacting headquarters, and could only pray to God that another squad on patrol — or perhaps a rescue party, sent to search for them — would happen upon them.

By five o'clock in the morning, local time, the attacks had been renewed. The Islamists' number having been greatly reduced, they had begun to form small strike squads, which would attempt to penetrate the German defencive perimeter by concentrating a large amount of fire at one point, then executing a charge on foot. These desperate measures actually boosted the squad's morale, as the slackening of fire and apparent thinning of the surrounding forces gave them the correct impression that their superior German training and weaponry was overcoming the brutish and unskilled attempts at battlefield tactics by the Persian radicals.

This type of battle continue until one o'clock in the afternoon, local time. Their number now being cut down to four, with the wounded soldier having succumbed to his wounds and one more man having been killed, Feldwebel Muehleck realised the direness of their situation. He began to mentally devise a strategy, in order to secure the escape of the remains of his squad. With no signs of help being sent from headquarters, Feldwebel Muehleck radioed his subordinates and outlined the plan. They would all slowly close the circle toward the centre of the camp, retreating slowly backward toward where they kept their casualties and ammunition. While doing this, they would increase their rate of fire and begin using explosives to ward off an advance by the Islamists. Once they reached the centre point of the perimeter, Muehleck would direct them toward an ideal exit point. They would begin running to the east — their exit point being to the west — and fire heavily in that direction, giving their attackers the impression they were going to attempt to break through their eastern wing. however, before reaching the attackers' positions, the three men under Feldwebel Muehleck would slip down a ravine and "run like hell" to the small, covered divide in the hills to the west. The Feldwebel would then provide covering fire for the men, continuing on his way in a singular, suicidal attempt to push back the Islamists or "send as many of them to their respective virgins" while trying. If he survived, he would exit the valley the same way as his men.

At exactly one fifteen in the afternoon, local time, the plan was put into effect. They reached the centre of the perimeter, all going according to plan; their diversion went according to plan as well; however, when the men attempted to slip into the ravine with their casualties, their attackers noticed. Feldwebel Muehleck estimated their number was at about twenty-five, according to Obergefreiter Wihelm Nemecek, the other survivor of the ordeal. Ten men were flying down the hillside, shouting various Islamic slogans and waving their Persian-made AKM rifles in a menacing, delirious manner. The men were exhausted. They were not going to be able to outrun the Islamists. Feldwebel Elsko Muehleck could see this; he took action.

As the Islamists ran down toward his men, he yelled for them to continue their egress. He took one of his squad's Panzerfaust 3s, and fired into the attackers. This drew the attention of the rest of the Islamist pseudo-regiment, which promptly began making toward him. He then took cover, and began picking off the leaders with his German-made MSG90, collected from his squad's downed sniper. By this time, almost ten Islamists had been killed by Muehleck alone; ten more were advancing on his position.

It is at this point that the retreating men were ambushed by four Islamists sent to apprehend them. They pounced from the hillsides, diving into their midst, trusting in their phantasmagorical Allah to assist them in hand-to-hand combat with the renowned German Armee. Needless to say, this was a futile hope. The German soldiers, armed with their Tanto KM2000 combat knives and deadly fists, fought back against the unskilled Persian fighters. The battle was over within a minute; all four Islamists were killed, while one German was mortally wounded.

The two remaining German soldiers — Gefreiter Jürgen Hofer and Obergefreiter Wihelm Nemecek — realised that they were unable to carry the bodies of their fallen comrades to safety. With this in kind, they chose the three men that had children and wives back in the Reich, and carried their bodies on, after hiding the four other bodies under rocks in a cave, with the hopes that they would be able to be recovered at a later date. they then effected their escape.

Neither of the men knew what had happened to Feldwebel Elsko Muehleck. Once they reached the Armee camp the next day, they notified headquarters which promptly sent out a search party, which was ultimately unsuccessful in its search for the battlefield. It was not until this past week that the location was ascertained and confirmed. It has been confirmed by the German Defence Ministry that the remains found there are those of Feldwebel Elsko Muehleck. It has also been confirmed that he eliminated twenty-two Islamists before he was overcome by their sheer numbers and his exhaustion and dehydration.

A memorial service will be held at the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche (Emperor Wilhelm Memorial Church) on Monday, February 25th. His Imperial Majesty the Kaiser and the Imperial Family will be in attendance, as will Defence Minister Paul Schwarzkopf and Foreign Minister Paul von Bismarck. it has been announced by the German Defence Ministry that Feldwebel Elsko Muehleck will be posthumously awarded the Iron Cross, presented to the family by His Imperial Majesty at the church on the same day.

BRITISH PARLIAMENT PASSES 'SEDITION ACT'

Image
The British House of Commons

By Carl Bruns
Published: March 9, 2013

LONDON, Great Britain — Today, the British Houses of Parliament met and passed the controversial 'Sedition Act,' a piece of legislation intended to hold the great empire together at a time when many nations, previously united in solidarity, have begun to unravel in the face of liberal globalism.

The Sedition Act, spearheaded by Parliament's Conservative majority, has been officially sent to His Majesty Edward IX for Royal Assent, according to local coverage of the bill by the New British Broadcasting Company World Service. The king is expected to give his assent to the act, which many believes enhances the powers and continuity of the British monarchy. Though many members of the British Liberal Party have criticised the act, this only seems to be an attempt to "tow the party line" — the Liberal Party being an outspoken opponent of the established, God-ordained hereditary monarchy of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, attacks on domestic legislation intended to retain order within the Empire are typical and unsurprising, and many loyal subjects of the British Empire have simply begun to ignore them.

The Act defines a seditious intention as "n intention to bring into hatred or contempt, or to excite disaffection against the person of His Majesty, his heirs or successors, or the government and constitution of Great Britain, as by law established, or either House of Parliament, or the administration of justice, or to excite His Majesty's subjects to attempt otherwise than by lawful means, the alteration of any matter in Church or State by law established, or to incite any person to commit any crime in disturbance of the peace, or to raise discontent or disaffection amongst His Majesty's subjects, or to promote feelings of ill-will and hostility between different classes of such subjects." It states that a judicial body may "impose upon any person convicted of seditious libel a prison sentence not exceeding thirty years in prison, but not below the minimum sentence of three years in prison. An additional fine can be imposed, in cases where judiciary parties find the libel to be particularly seditious and outright, of a monetary amount not upwards of £200,000." Though to many subjects of other great empires around the world may find these punishments lax, the increasingly unpatriotic British Isles seem to believe this a violation of "human rights."

The international human-rights group "Freedom First" has issued a sweeping condemnation of the Act, with several minor dissident groups expressing support for the global nonconformist group. Anton Akim, according to the NBBC, has said "this obvious attempt to suppress the expression of ideas and opinions in the empire must end. We elect our government to represent us, not to oppress us! If I am to be subjugated to this law, then let me be the first to be martyred; I denounce and condemn this government for its actions, and will do the same to the King if he gives his approval to this authoritarian edict." Rumours says that a senior member of Parliament actually began laughing out loud when he heard this statement.

The German government is expected to congratulate the British Empire upon the King's approval of the Sedition Act, with some sources reporting that His Majesty the Kaiser will be sending lavish gifts to the Royal Family in celebration of the conservative triumph.

Carl Bruns reported from London, Great Britain.

EMMERIA CONTINUES THREATS TOWARD ACA

Image
Foreign Minister Bismarck, when told that the Emmerian military was on high alert

By Vitus von Kloos
Published: March 16, 2013

A press conference was held this morning, designed to satiate the media's desire for more information regarding the German government's reaction to continued threats by the United Republic of Emmeria. Attended by the Foreign Minister, Paul von Bismarck, as well as several other important members of the Defence and Foreign Ministries, the large conference room was designated 'standing room only,' with over three hundred privileged civilians, reporters, journalists, and newscasters present.

Emmeria, soon after a communiqué was sent by the German government to its allies in Preslaff, put out a propaganda article condemning the peaceful naval exercises being conducted by the ACA in the region of Pardes. The article quoted the Emmerian National Security Advisor, Jason Caldwell, as saying that "this is their [the ACA's] most outrageous move yet — it's outright ridiculously provocative. They've got no concern for regional stability — they need to stop playing with fire before they get burned," during an emergency press conference.

Minister Bismarck, when confronted with this statement, shrugged it off. "We are used to such vitriol from the Quigley cabal," he said, using the term that has come to encompass all governmental officials of Akimonad, Emmeria, and their blind followers. "Their own 'bellicose rhetoric' has blinded them to a very simple truth: our designs — the ACA's — are entirely peaceful, and aim for a world free of the Red Horde. Their designs are war, destruction, and political subjugation — subjugation of not only socialism, but Fascism, authoritarianism, and the ideology of any nation they do not like."

The article, though acknowledging the exercises would likely be held in international waters, went on to say that the Emmerian military was being mobilised. "The Navy is on high alert, the Air Force is on high alert, the National Guard, everyone," said the U.R. Defense Secretary Aiden Lawson. This news actually brought a smile to Bismarck's face. "I am pleased they find our combined militaries such a massive threat," said Bismarck, bringing chuckles from the crowd. "They claim we are weak, splintering, yet when we conduct peaceful exercises in foreign waters, they cringe and bring out the big guns. This is great."

Deputy Minister of Defense, Hermann von Glucksburg, also spoke of possible military conflict between the United Republic and the Empire. "The Emmerian military is undeniably large," he said, leaning on the podium with both hands. "But the German military is large as well, and renowned throughout Tyrrhenia for its professionalism and discipline. The Ministry of Defence is entirely confident that, if a war with Emmeria occurred, the Empire would emerge victorious, even without the help of its allies."

But he did not express any desire for this war to happen. "His Majesty has expressed his wishes the Ministry: this is not the time for war. The Anti-Communism Alliance will continue with its regular exercises, but no attempt to provoke the United Republic or any other nation into armed conflict will be tolerated."

The United Press article continually accused the ACA of aggression, and a fervent desire for war — Bismarck hastily dispelled this theory. "The German Empire is known for its military prowess; however, we have no desire to disrupt peace in any place we find it. These speculations made by Emmeria and its allies are completely unfounded."

Vitus von Kloos reported from Berlin, capital of the German Empire.

"Bellicose rhetoric" my ass. When Emmeria and Akimonad intervene in other nations' affairs, it's to protect freedom and democracy; when ACA states conduct naval exercises in another region, it's threatening their sovereignty. A massive pile of bullshit, if I do say so myself.

JOINT NAVAL EXERCISES ANNOUNCED

Image

By employee of PRUSSCORP NEWS SERVICE
Published: March 16, 2013

BERLIN, German Empire — It was recently announced by the German, Belhavian, and Kcalbian governments, that joint naval exercises would be executed in order to "ensure the freedom and security of Tyrrhenian seas," according to the press release by the Imperial Foreign Ministry. The document, which was released in conjunction with those of Elcric Kcalb and New Belhavia, detailed a simple route through which the vessels would be travelling. The short release reads:

"The German Empire, in conjunction with its allies, the Corporatocracy of Elcric Kcalb and the Constitutional Monarchy of New Belhavia, will be conducting naval exercises in international Tyrrhenian waters later this month. The participating vessels will converge at a predetermined point in New Belhavian waters, before proceeding north of Waldenburg and traversing the strait separating the Levantian and Waldenurgian continent; after this, they will circle Mednordia and return to their respective bases.

"This exercise is expected to strengthen the bonds between the nations of Elcric Kcalb, New Belhavia, and the German Empire, and to further ensure the safety and stability of Tyrrhenia as a region."

Information regarding the amount, classes, and current location of those German vessels participating has not been released by the government.

PARDES CONTINUES TO DESTABILISE AS PREMISLYD DEPARTS ACA

Image
Maximilian Pflanz, popular Fascist political pundit and analyst, speaks out against Premislydi ACA membership on his popular day-time talk show, "Das Maximilian Pflanz Anzeigen"

BERLIN, German Empire — The Imperial German Foreign Office has recently published a press release regarding the withdrawal of the Islamic Social Union of Premislyd from the Anti-Communism Alliance, as well as the escalating diplomatic and trade situation in the region of Pardes, which has been covered in the barest possible form by the regional news network. The following excerpt from the lengthy document details the feelings of the government toward the nations of Pardes, including Premislyd.

"The ultimate goal of the Anti-Communism Alliance is the eradication of that vile disease that is Communism. Whether this eradication is effected through military intervention by the ACA, domestic legislation across the world, or imperialist ventures by capitalist states is of no concern to us.
"For example, the Havenwaldian Executive Order #1284 is a major diplomatic move on the international stage, and is the beginning of an anti-communist trend in the region of Pardes. Other such laws and orders are being implemented across the world, eliminating unwanted Leftist influence from the leading nations of the civilised world. This is the ACA's goal being achieved without the ACA. This is what we were hoping for.
"When the German, Nachfolgian, and Tyrannian heads of state met to form our glorious organisation, their hope was that the ACA would begin a worldwide, right-wing movement. Not only one that would oppose the far-left, but one that would impose societal order, national hierarchy, and a culture of competing undertakings unto the entire earth. This has begun to bear fruit.
"The resignation of Premislyd from our group means nothing. They were a pariah among our ranks from the beginning. Their radical Islamist and isolationist worldview was ultimately incompatible with the ACA's direct mission. They would not cooperate in alliance programmes, and resisted Alliance authority. They will continue in their fight against domestic Leftism, just without the ACA. This is of no concern to us. If Premislyd begins to fall to the Communists, we will be there; until such a time comes, their nation is theirs."

This profoundly peaceful attitude shown by the German government has appalled many across the political spectrum, including Fascist political commentator Maximilian Pflanz. Pflanz, in a characteristic show of nationalism and a devotion to the quest for empire, has bluntly condemned the release as "weak" and "sorrowfully spineless." He, on his popular talk show on Fuchsbau Nachrichten, implored HM Kaiser B.E. Steinbach to "get back to those old days, when you ached for new territory every bored weekend." Neither His Majesty nor any of His Majesty's officials has commented. However, many other pundits have proffered opinions on the graceful show of diplomacy executed by the Foreign Office. One such pundit is Otmar Kayss, former vice-chairman of the Progressive People's Party and two-decade member of the Reichstag. Kayss, Pflanz's main political opponent, scoffed at the Fascist's analysis of the situation. "Maximilian, as usual, has no idea what he is talking about," the man many suspect of being a socialist stated. "The man who has never been a member of the government, never chaired a political committee, never been involved in politics except to provoke electronic shock waves across the nation, believes he has the power to order the emperor to change our foreign policy. His delusions would almost be funny, if they were not so utterly pitiful."

Pflanz also addressed Havenwalde's Executive Order #1284, banning communism within its borders. "It's a trap!" he gasped, recalling memories of a popular science-fiction movie franchise. "They're trying to trick us into staying out of their business! Well they won't trick us, g********! We've got a noose ready, commies!" This outburst provoked a firestorm across the forums and blogs of the Empire, either praising or condemning Pflanz's virulent language. Many consider his statements to be "threats" against national Pardesian leaders, while others consider them necessary bouts of nationalism. Whatever the case, His Majesty the Kaiser appears to have been ignoring these wars of words and focused on his business: running the country.

Among the government's concerns that have yet to be directly addressed are the protection of Pardesian shipping rights and ACA influence in the area. The United Republic of Emmeria, in yet another show of inflammatory military gestures, has vowed to support Pravengria's anti-ACA threats of closing off the Pravene strait to Anti-Communist merchant vessels. The Emmerian United Press reported that Dr. Jackson Rouad, chief economist in Chaleur-based economy magazine Worldview, criticised the notion. "Pravengria's move is just ineffective, irrelevant, and largely symbolic," he told Emmerian reporters. "A majority of ACA nations are located towards Pardes's north, so practically none of the ACA's merchant shipping would be coming through the straits anyway." Emmerian Secretary of Defense Aiden Lawson stated during a press conference that "[Pravengria would be] increasingly isolating itself and [...] transforming from an effective partner in promoting global human rights to a nation that ineffectively enforces obsolete and oppressive policies."

The "Pardesian Situation," as the geopolitical scene in the region has come to be known, has been been further escalated by a hasty severing of ties between Premislyd and the Constitutional Monarchy of New Belhavia, a strong ally of the German Empire and leading member of the ACA Grand Council. Jacen Gray, Belhavian deputy Foreign Minister for Allied Affairs and public face of the Anti-Communism Alliance, announced that the empire would be following Premislyd's deadline for ambassadorial evacuation "to the second." Belhavian Foreign Minister Joseph Hansdann announced to reporters that New Belhavia was ceasing all formal ties to the Pardesi nation. "It is evident from Ajatola Taras Yakiv Kozel's reckless remarks, labelling his former allies falsely 'fascists' that they care not for our friendship. So be it. If Premislyd wishes to join the declining anti-ACA bloc, they are free to do so."

When questioned at a briefly-held press conference in Berlin, German Foreign Minister Paul von Bismarck echoed similar sentiments. "Whether they [Premislyd] are going to join the increasingly-deluded cabal of anti-ACA conspirators, only time will tell," he said, slowly working his words as the room went quiet. "I do not view this as a major move on any political scene, even the Pardesi domestic one. It is not as if their membership in our Alliance affected their behaviour in the slightest. They are a group of frantically religious, idealistic, quasi-fascist Muslims, and not to be trusted. I have affirmed this, and His Majesty has encouraged his Cabinet not to feel downtrodden; our [the ACA's] involvement in Pardes has only begun."

The ACA should stay out of Pardes. I dont see a point to this. I mean, if they're going to burn themselves to the ground, let them, right? We're us, we're Germans, not Pardesians.... Pardes for Pardesians, Tyrrhenia for Tyrrhenians. Maybe if we didn't mess with them so much, they'd leave us alone, right/ Did anyone ever think of the Golden Rule? No? Well maybe we need to start holding the elites in Berlin a bit more accountable from now on huh.

PRESIDENT OF EMMERIA ASSASSINATED

Image
The late Luis Castilla chatting with the press

By Ekkehard Klausgraber
Published: April 8, 2013

SPLIT, Premislyd — It has been reported by the United Press that Luis Castilla, president of the United Republic of Emmeria, has been shot in the head and killed by an unknown assassin in Split, Premislyd. The president, being heavily involved in the "Pardes Crisis," was making a speech in the Islamic Social Republic regarding the situation across the region, the relationship between Emmeria and Premislyd, the expansion of the Anti-Communism Alliance, and several other topics important to the geopolitical scene in recent months.

The Emmerian Secret Service (an independent group charged solely with protection of the head of state) has yet to identify any potential suspects, and the government has issued no statements regarding the incident or its impact on the governing structure of the United Republic. The United Press reported the Secretary of State, Lana Basara, as being "in tears," and severely mourning the passing of a man that was simply "defending the rights of people across the world."

HIM Kaiser B.E. Steinbach was struck when he heard the news. "I am saddened by the severe loss the United Republic [of Emmeria] has taken," the emperor said, solemnly staring into the crowd of press in front of the Kaiser's imperial residence in Berlin. "The world has indeed lost a noble man. Though our nations may have experienced friction at times, I have always respected President Castilla as a generally competent head of state. I mourn his passing."

However, in contrast to HM the Kaiser's respectful message of consolation, many were relieved or even overjoyed at the news of the assassination. Conservative Party member of the Reichstag Siegwart von Lanz spoke to reporters within an hour after the event, and analysed the possible benefits of Castilla's death. "Though the death of a man is never an entirely happy event, I must say, the passing of President Castilla is not an entirely... bad event for the Empire," he stated, talking to reporters outside the Reichstag. "This may, in fact, reduce the eagerness of many nations to support the Emmerians, Pravengrians, and their ilk in opposing the ACA and its anti-communist mission. I don't know, but it might have some positive effects in the long run."

Foreign Minister Paul von Bismarck has denounced von Lanz's remarks, and adamantly denied that the Reichstag member speaks for the government. "Herr von Lanz is showing an immense amount of hubris and immaturity in his coarse statements," he said, showing a rarely-captured amount of emotion. "His Majesty, Minister Schwarzkopf, and myself, are appalled at his behaviour, and do not share his beliefs in the slightest. We give our greatest condolences to the Castilla family and the Emmerian nation, and wish them the best of luck on the road ahead."

Ekkehard Klausgraber reported from Split, Premislyd.

GOVERNMENT WILL NOT GRANT LENIENCY TOWARD PARDES

Deputy Foreign Minister Adolf von Welf fervently denies Germany will soften its approach on the Pardes Crisis

By employee of PRUSSCORP NEWS SERVICE
Published: April 9, 2013

BERLIN, German Empire — With the recent assassination of the Emmerian president and the German government's swift, consoling reply, some pundits (in Germany and abroad) have speculated that the position of the Empire on the United Republic of Emmeria, and Pardes in general, will begin to soften. This is not the case.

Adolf von Welf, German Deputy Foreign Minister, spoke to reporters in an emergency press conference this morning, to address these already-prolific complaints. "No," he said firmly, beginning the several-hour discussion that travailed a wide variety of subjects, ranging from war in Pardes to the stability of Tyrrhenia itself. "Our policy has not changed in the slightest. We will stand by our allies in New Belhavia, Castille de Italia, and all other ACA states involved in the Pardes Crisis. Our approach is still firm, tough, and unyielding. The death of President Castilla is an unfortunate event, but not one that changes political views and diplomatic situations."

Deputy Minister of Defense, Hermann von Glucksburg, released a harsh statement shortly after the conference confirming the Defense Ministry's position on the Pardes Crisis. Acknowledging the warming of relations between New Belhavia and Emmeria, it adopted an almost hostile attitude toward the nation many consider a firm member of the Quigley Cabal. It said that "Provisa may make agreements and diplomatic decisions as it pleases, being a sovereign nation; however, the German Empire will not stoop to fraternising with a state that consistently opposes ACA efforts, deeming it Communist-sympathising and guilty of aiding and abetting the Red Horde in its quest for world domination."

This stance, according to Christian Democrat MP and former Luftwaffe fighter pilot Gottlob Hoegl, is reminiscent of HIM the Kaiser's early days. "A firm, idealist stance," Hoegl called it, smiling and giving a small clap with the back of his hand. "Not in the sense of unrealistic, but in the sense that he stands by his beliefs, uncompromising. We will show the world our Empire stands strong."

PARDES AMPLIFIES RHETORIC - GERMANY 'WON'T BACK DOWN'

Image
The Imperial German Armee has begun to increase the frequency of ballistic missile tests in the face of possible war with Pardes

By DEITHELM HARRAS and THEO VON KAROW
Published: May 11, 2013

BERLIN, German Empire — Despite an increase in the intensity of anti-ACA sabre-rattling, the German government continues to refuse to concede to Pardesian demands — the focus of which is the complete and immediate removal of all Anti-Communism Alliances forces and vessels of war from the region of Pardes.

HIM Kaiser B.E. Steinbach, in the face of continued requests for him to directly address the subject of possible war with Pardes, made a speech in Berlin giving his opinion — and therefore, national policy — on continued German and Anti-Communist involvement in the region. Dressed in full military regalia and guarded by over twenty members of the Schwarzblitz Kräft, though without some sort of bulletproof barrier, HM the Kaiser cut an impressive figure speaking to an excited, devoted crowd of over two hundred thousand subjects of the German Empire. Once a manageable degree of silence had been obtained, the emperor began, starting his one-hour long speech with his customary nationalistic introduction: "Today is a good day to be German. It is always good to be German. Never forget that."

"Many of you here today are concerned about the 'crisis' in the region of Pardes," the Kaiser began, his eyes scanning the enraptured crowd. "I would like to pose a question: What crisis? What has occurred that is so threatening to our great empire? The nation of Premislyd has left the ranks of our Alliance, yes, but was in not assumed for so long a time they would be expelled in any case? Do you not remember their treachery in denying they were 'on our side' immediately after they had gained membership to the Alliance? Believe me, my fellow Germans, this would have occurred at some time in the near future with or without their consent."

HM later addressed the ability of Germany to defend itself and Tyrrhenia. "The armed forces of the German Empire are among the best in the world," he sad, drawing applause from the crowd. "Our technology is advanced and our soldiers well-trained. There are millions of men just waiting to defend their Fatherland with all their might. I will not say that I desire a war, but I will say that if it does come, we will be ready."

The Kaiser then discussed the recent increase in funding for and use of anti-ballistic missiles, intercontinental ballistic missiles, and the German missile defence system in general. "We are not planing any sort of nuclear or otherwise military strike on any nation, including those of Pardes, at this time," he said, provoking several boos from the crowd which were quickly silenced by the peace-keeping military policemen. "We are simply establishing that w are fully able to protect the Empire from any foreign military threat, whether it comes by land, sea, or air. The scientists within the Armee, Marine, and Luftwaffe are fully confident that in the case of a ballistic missile strike against our domestic territory, the missile would not come within one hundred miles of German shores. The same goes for any amphibious invasion or attempts at naval missile launches. We are safe."

In closing, HM Kaiser B.E. Steinbach said that Germany "will not bow to the arrogant demands thrust upon us by the Quigley Cabal," and that, no matter the cost, the ACA will "stand firm in its principles." "We are Germans!" he announced, sweeping the air with a thrust-out arm. "We do not surrender! And we won't back down!"

This display of blatant nationalism and assurance in military ability was prompted by several provocative statements from the national governments of Pardes. It was reported by the Itailian Evening Star, that "the Itailian 4th Eastern Blue Fleet had been deployed from the southern port in the Etrucia province to escort all Itailian, Emmerian and CDI commercial shipping lanes and they were provided with orders, as it is rumored yet not confirmed, to open fire on any ACA or extra-national armed ship that attempts to interfere or close the shipping lanes of traffic." This came just before the Akimonadi government called for the ACA to "withdraw all forces from Pardes," while admittedly retaining its own warships within the region. With claims by the Belfrasian prime minister that "the Pardesian people do not want the ACA inside our regional borders" and that the ACA has been "intruding and menacing us for no apparent reason then [sic] to 'extend their influence'," many senior government officials have begun to grow exasperated by Pardes and its nations' respective antics.

"I cannot for the life of me understand how His Majesty has held himself back so long," an anonymous, high-ranking member of the Defence Ministry said. "A few years ago, we would have had boots on Emmerian ground within a week. Now, we're just exchanging inflammatory rhetoric and threatening each other without anyone really believing we're going to do anything. The Kaiser isn't a man for cold wars, and I'm rather confused by it."

This is a viewpoint shared by many. The fact that the German emperor, though a wise man, has typically never showed any aversion to war, along with the continuous false blows to German and imperial pride delivered by Pravengria and Emmeria, would lead many to assume HM was preparing for conflict. However, this does not seem to be the case. During his speech early this afternoon, the Kaiser affirmed that "we are not looking for bloodshed at this time. This would only be a waste of manpower and money, for little to no gain. Their sabre-rattling will continue, I have been assured, but I sincerely doubt anything substantial ill come to fruition."

Some have speculated that the Empire's strong alliance with New Belhavia may be the cause. With the newly-inaugurated Emmerian president, Washington Hayes, pledging to continue a quest for warmer relations with New Belhavia, many Germans in various positions within the national hierarchy have spoken out even more strongly against Emmeria and, in some cases, New Belhavia. "How could this have happened?" Mark Doernemann, a man interviewed on the streets of Berlin, asked. "I thought those guys were our friends. Despite them being Jews and all, they are our neighbors, and have been firmly in the last few years. I know they abandoned us in the Great War as well, but is that really going to happen again? The ACA goes to war in Pardes and the Belhavians defect?"

The Provisa Times reported that Jeffrey Goldberg, a specialist on global anti-communist geopolitics at the Project for an Imperial Century and famed neoconservative, said "This [detente between Emmeria and New Belhavia] will be a categorical disaster." He also affirmed that "the Emmerians and others will never accept the A.C.A. They're basically weak-willed subordinates to Kent." Wolfgang Poessinger, former Generalleutnant of the German Armee and current bürgermeister of Rothenburg, Bavaria, has said that the Empire must prepare to be met with "Judaic betrayal." "There is a reason we had almost no contact with the Belhavians for almost a century," the eighty-three year old Poessinger said. "The Führer did not trust them, no one trusted them, when I was a lad. They had betrayed us in the Great War! They took good German jobs, and pushed intelligent Germanic men out of high positions. I mourned the day it was announced Belhavia had been accepted to our alliance, and I continue mourning that fact. Those Jews will bring us nothing good." Poessinger, a current member of the German Fatherland Party and former member of the National Socialist German Worker's Party, was recently re-elected to his position with an eighty percent majority.

Pravengria has announced that it is monitoring ACA movements in its Noveta Praviana Nacionau media outlet, a source of information known to cite comedians as legitimate sources of profound political theory and state nonsensical metaphors with no discernible meaning. With an unparalleled display of hauteur and insolence, the Pravene government has threatened to "devastate" the ACA, and has also called for an "anti-ACA summit," to which no nation has responded. "Oh, them?" politics professor at the University of Göttingen Gregor von Edse scoffed. "I find them quite amusing. The amount of coverage they receive across the world is quite astounding, I must admit; however, I am tempted to say that this is not because of some massive importance, but because the rest of the world — governments included — is laughing at them. I would not be surprised in the slightest if Castilla and Hayes had a fun-filled time or two looking over United Press reports about Pravene governmental antics."

With other nations threatening war against the ACA, blatantly provoking these right-wing states to action, the leadership of these states seem to have kept their composure. As Maximilian Pflanz put it on his popular day-time talk show, "You'll know there was a war with Pardes when you get a UP report about German nautical scientists discovering a new 'Bay of Anti-Communism' where Pravengria used to be thought to exist."

Deithelm Harras reported from Berlin, and Theo von Karow, from Ilopl'. Oswald Sievert contirubted reporting from Oured.

PRAVENGRIA CONTINUES TO FABRICATE UNLIKELY TRUTHS - FACT-CHECKERS SAY "NO WAY DO EVEN THEY BELIEVE THIS"

Image
Claus von Achilles, president of the German fact-checking organisation "Die Unverfälschtes Fakten," is skeptical of the vast majority of Pravengrian claims made in the last few weeks

By ROBERT KOHMANN
Published: May 13, 2013

SAXONOPL', Pravengria — Lately, much of the flak generated from the so-called "War of Words" between the Anti-Communism Alliance and anti-ACA nations has been directed at the German Empire, a founding nation of the anti-left league. And much of the flak in general has originated in the Federated Commonwealth of Pravengria, a Pardesian nation located east of Havenwalde and northeast of Estovakiva. Though having been generally considered a minor — but visible — player in international politics for quite some time, the state appears to have determined to set itself up as a superpower — both within its region and the world.

In a series of articles aimed mainly at disparaging the honour and integrity of the German Empire, Pravengria has begun to go so far in its inflammatory rhetoric that they are starting to lose the little respect they may have had from even its Pardesian allies. Calling the German nation a "laughingstock," using comedians and vulgar pseudo-pundits as sources of political commentary and even publishing blatantly racist and bigoted remarks against the entire people they incorrectly categorise as "Prussians," this federation might have gone too far in its rhetoric to fully rescind its arguably out-of-line statements.

On May 11, the Pravengrian NPN (Noveta Praviana Nacionau) news outlet released an article picking apart and analysing a recently-published PrussCorp news release. While making several avoidable mistakes — such as stating that HIM the Kaiser typically spoke in public while protected by a bulletproof barrier, as do most well-known heads of state, and claiming a statement declaring the German Empire did not desire war but would fight in the defence of itself or its allies as a threat of possible nuclear warfare — the media source consistently used overly-casual language and misplaced both commas and apostrophes, both mistakes not typically expected of an internationally-circulated news provider. Childishly engaging in blatant ad hominem against a royal and attacking an entire people as members of the "shallow end of the gene pool," the article was more closely related to an especially virulent, ethnically-intolerant propaganda piece than a legitimate announcement of valid occurrences.

In another article, published May 12, Pravengria falsely claimed to have established a "detente" with the Constitutional Monarchy of New Belhavia, an ACA member state and strong right-wing ally of the German Empire. Citing a recent poll formulated by a Pravengrian professor questioning citizens about their approval of three of the most prominent anti-communist countries in the world today, New Belhavia, "Prussia," and Castille de Italia. The results were, as stated by an anonymous Pravengrian national "Anina," "not surprising." The German Empire — referred to throughout the article as "Prussia" — received the lowest approval rating, at twelve percent. New Belhavia received the highest, at sixty-eight percent. The Castillian rating was unpublished. This announcement of something they apparently consider a major move on the world stage and promoting of an easily-fabricated poll from the easily-tampered-with internet has formulated what the NPP calls a "slap to the face" of "Prussia."

PrussCorp, in response to these numerous allegations Pravengria has made against the German Empire, requested the not-for-profit, independent, volunteer-based Die Unverfälschtes Fakten fact-checking organisation analyse the latest articles of the popular Pravene news source for possible fabrications, exaggerations, and flat-out falsehoods. After delivering a several-page report via the mail, the organisation's head, Claus von Achilles, visited the IPCNS headquarters to be interviewed by PrussCorp reporters. Achilles, a Progressive People's Party member and nobleman who renounced his title and has donated ninety percent of his inherited fortune to various anti-poverty charities around the world, was candid about his view of PrussCorp and the German government. "Let me be clear," he began, as he sat down with reporters in the PrussCorp newsroom. "I am committed to truth, as a man of my profession should be. I do not generally read or watch PrussCorp News, as I find it to be a generally nationally-biased and slightly-opinionated source of information. I believe the government to be staunchly right-wing, despite its liberal advances in some social issues. I do not favour this corporation or its subsidiser. However, as I have stated, I am committed to the truth, and I have come here to share that." Achilles, a freelance journalist for several newspapers in the Empire and abroad before returning to claim his property once his father passed away, has always been known as a well-articulated and honest personality.

The reporters thrust the question upon Achilles immediately: Is Pravengria's Noveta Praviana Nacionau a generally reliable and valid source of news and information? "We have a rating system for newspapers and websites," Achilles said, clasping his hands. "We rate them on a scale of one to twenty, on three categories: Bias, Opinion, and Falsehood. The Bias rating indicates exactly how much a source skews its information to favour its "side"; the Opinion rating indicates how much a source includes opinion in its articles; the Falsehood rating indicates how much the source tells lies in its articles. The higher the number, the more there is, with one being none at all, and twenty being virtually all of it." In the DUF's analysis of PrussCorp News Service, the company received a 15 - 7 - 1 rating.

Achilles brought out an envelope containing a copy of the official results for the NPP. Opening the manila paper casing, he announced its official rating to a hushed press: 16 - 18 - 10.

"I personally worked on this analysis, and believe me, it was thorough," the organisation head said, shaking his slightly. "We hired two proclaimedly biased, for-profit think tanks on both sides of the political spectrum to analyse this in addition to ourselves, to ensure we get cover the issue thoroughly, as we do on many high-profile actions such as this. Their views, surprisingly, weren't that far apart: they had both determined that, in general, the NPN was not the best source of accurate, non-opinionated information."

Achilles began to list several things that stunned him in Pravengrian news articles. "First of all, the racism and below-the-belt personal attacks!" he said, eyes widening. "I mean, news sources are obligated to publish all sides of an issue if they want to be truly informative; but what kind of professional, scholarly political professor says something like 'that nation is like a bastard child', to an international news source? I believe that was counted as a 'falsehood' in our analysis, simply because no one could believe any true member of the intelligentsia would say something so categorically ignorant.

"Their language was also consistently vulgar and overly-inflammatory," he reported. "They used crude metaphors referring to the swinging of phalli, and actually said — yes, the reporters actually said — that 'Prussian' reporters needed to 're-attend school.' They not only accuse journalists of lacking in education, but misreport said reporters' nationality. Overall, it was saddening. I mean, no way do they even believe all of this."

When questioned about the use of logic in the NPN, Achilles continued. "Some of their arguments need work," he said. "They would have more leverage if they stopped making so many assumptions. The majority of their analytical article was just that: assumptions. Luckily, we attributed much of that to Opinion rather than Falsehood. If we had given them to Falsehood, that score would have neared twenty, easily."

He also discussed Germany's apparent lack of strength, as reported by the Pravengrian news outlet. "I am anti-war," Achilles said, stating an opinion definitely not endorsed by the government. "Our government is unashamedly imperialist, and I despise them for it. However, I recognise that, in order to be imperialist, you need military strength; the Empire has that."

So the German Armed Forces are not "weak," as stated by Johan Schwartz, a claimed ex-Austrian citizen?

"No, they are not," Achilles said perplexedly. "We were rather confused by this individual's statement as well. I mean, even German enemies recognise German strength; that is why they are enemies. That was another view we doubted was authentic."

Claus von Achilles was thanked for his time before exiting the building and leaving in his used car. He recently donated five thousand dollars to the PPP's youth wing, and will be speaking at the annual People's Convention in Bonn on May 30.

The attitude in Saxonopl', the capital city of the Federated Republic, toward the "Pardes Crisis" seems to echo the opinion of the NPN. "I am not worried at all about the Prussians," Jimmie Vicente, a Pravengrian road worker said. "Their military barely exists. Their dick-waving's silly, we'd beat them up if they blinked at us." Most other people on the street voiced similar opinions. Whether this is due to misinformation through Pravengrian news sources or formulated, researched opinion, is nearly impossible to tell.

Robert Kohmann reported from Saxonopl'. Eberhard Neuhierl contributed reporting from Berlin.

Seriously, Pravengria is the laughingstock. I had a cousin who studied art there for a semester; some of the people there are deluded enough to think they're a legitimate superpower, but the vast majority of liberal intellectuals know that their nation is a glorified Titianicia. That is, the intellectuals they have left. Most of the citizens left - the ones that haven't skipped the border or been imprisoned for knowing things - are poor comedians and power-hungry C-average students. It's sad.

ACA DENIES ANY INVOLVEMENT IN PARDES

Image
The Deputy Foreign Minister, Adolf von Welf, has begun taking over the handling of ACA and Pardesian affairs from his superior, Paul von Bismarck. There are rumours he is being groomed to take over from the long-running Foreign Minister, who has been in his position for several decades

By WILLIBALD DRESCHER
Published: May 14, 2013

BERLIN, German Empire — Earlier this morning, the Anti-Communism Alliance leadership released an open letter in which they denied any official ACA involvement in the "Pardes Crisis," saying that they have "nothing to do" with the current situation in the region, and that they recognise the "complete sovereignty of each of its member nations" — meaning the statements released by and the forces deployed by the German, Belhavian, and Castillian states were not commanded by the Alliance, as an entity.

Deputy Foreign Minister Adolf von Welf talked to reporters today about ACA involvement in Pardes, shortly after the letter was sent into the public. "As the document says, the creature must not be confused with the creator," the middle-aged diplomat said outside the Foreign Office. "The creators would be the states, the creature the Alliance. They are separate entities, and though closely related and bound to work together, they are not the same thing. Each ACA nation still conducts its own affairs, domestic and foreign, and these actions have been that of individual nations — not the administrating powers of the Alliance."

This is contrary to the prevailing opinion of many Pardesian nations, whose news outlets have been rapidly releasing new information regarding the "Pardes Crisis." One of the most recent is that of the Tarsan Imperial Broadcasting Agency. In between brief misogynistic remarks and attacks against individual nations, the article reports the Tarsan Foreign Ministry as stating that the ACA is "full of warmongering barbarians" and "incompetent fools." The Tarsan Emperor also made an appeal of his own to the Alliance: "We will not tolerate childish stunts such as this. The ACA would do well to heed my warning." He refers to the threats made by the Imperial Theocracy of Castille de Italia, an ACA member state which recently announced no Castillian ships would be sent to Pardes. This change of mind made by senior military officials of the Castillian Theocracy immediately garnered several replies through various news agencies, some thankful, others spiteful. This "childish stunt" appears to have been a rash, hasty decision most likely made by the Castillian head of government Victoria Mede, which was quickly overturned by military strategists in discussion with the civilian chancellor, according to PrussCorp. sources within the Imperial Theocracy.

However, as other governmental leaders plan vacations and golfing trips after this slight relaxation of tensions, members of the German government still seem to be working overtime. Deputy Minister von Welf has been in conference with numerous high-ranking members of the Defence Ministry and Foreign Office the majority of every day the past two weeks, while ambassadors in nations across Tyrrhenia and the world discuss the delicate Pardesian situation with foreign leaders. HIM Kaiser B.E. Steinbach, though usually a constant figure in German foreign affairs and military actions, has gone into semi-reclusion in later months, with men close to the emperor — such as Generaldfeldmarschall Karl von Clausewitz II, a distant cousin of the head of state — reporting that the man renowned across the region as an avid workaholic was catching up on his written works and beginning to focus on his second doctorate from Karls-Universität zu Prag. Few have blamed him, with popular political pundit and talk show host Maximilian Pflanz remarking that "the man takes a holiday from work by working on something else — give him a g*****n break!"

Despite the quickly-taken opinion of some — that the Castillian withdrawal is bringing an end to the situation in Pardes, one in ultra-nationalistic Pardesian favour — this still may not be the case. Some nations, such as those of Rodarion and Pravengria, still seem to harbour militaristic sentiments against ACA presence in Pardes. Though the Pravengrian military's alert level was downgraded to DEFCON 3, according to a recent NPN news article, this is still an "increase in force readiness above that required for normal readiness." The Rodarion PRRB (Papal Republic of Rodarion Broadcasting) state news agency continues to issue inflammatory statements against the Empire and its alliance, calling them "snakes" and saying that despite Rodarion despising communism and having fought against its "vile tenets," that the ACA has continued its "hostile acts of incursion and manipulation" against Pardes. Including a random reference to Rodarion's advancement into the "Nuclear Club" in 1983 — thirty-four years after the German Empire, in 1949 — the opinion of the supposedly Christian theocratic government located just south of the Islamic theocratic government in Premislyd, a former ACA member, seems to remain entirely hostile toward the Anti-Communism Alliance's involvement in the region of Pardes.

Willibald Drescher reported from Berlin.

Otto W. Berent, West Prussia
Actually, achen77-7, it wasn't that much of an "about-face." They - meaning the ACA administration in Berlin - never really pointed in any one direction in the first place. They weren't involved. The ACA, as an entity, was never involved - officially or otherwise - in the Pardes Crisis. Several individual nations, members of the Alliance - Belhavia, Germany, Castille - were involved, but their individual actions were never approved, condemned, supported, or otherwise commented on by the Alliance government. So, they're just clearing that up for everyone. The ACA never really had anything to do with Pardes, other than Premislyd and Hippostania.

GERMANY "OPENING UP" - WITHDRAWS FROM IFA

Image
Last night, the German Empire officially resigned its membership in the Imperial Fascist Alliance, a "collection of Fascists, Francoists, Right-Wing Total Monarchies, National Socialists, Rightist Stratocracies, and other Far-Right Dictatorships"

By HILMAR STERN
Published: May 14, 2013

BERLIN, German Empire — Several minutes ago, the Foreign Office officially tendered its resignation from the increasingly irrelevant Imperial Fascist Alliance. According the letter of resignation, "the time in which the German Empire needed the Imperial Fascist Alliance" had "come to an end." However, the language used throughout the notification of immediate secession was undeniably amiable, and Foreign Minister Paul von Bismarck expressed a fervent hope that the close relationship the German Empire had enjoyed with many IFA states would continue.

This came along with a press release by the Foreign Office, detailing a change to imperial foreign policy. Questioning the wisdom of "alienating fellow right-wing states and democracies" and stating that Germany would from now on seek "firm friendship with nations that share our own ideals" and are "nearby our own geographic location," the document adopted a tone of conciliation of near-apologetic sincerity. Announcing that the German Empire would begin seeking closer trade and diplomatic relationships with countries such as Yohannes, the Allamunnic States, and Ascelonia, this is a major turn from the increasingly-hostile and self-promoting path the Empire has recently been taking.

"We are committed to increasing the prominence of Tyrrhenia as a whole," Foreign Minister Bismarck said in the release's introduction. "Our policy is not only to fight Communism and to enrich the Empire — though those are priorities — it is to help our fellow Waldenburgian and right-wing countries achieve a degree of success that others may not ever experience."

The press release was, however, significantly Tyrrhenia-centric, though it also stressed that nations of the far-left would not be worked with, as per usual imperial policy. Stating that "our region is of major importance," it expressed a desire to "rid Tyrrhenia of the Red Horde," and replace it with "liberal democracy and traditionalist monarchy."

"Let us enter a new era of creative Enlightenment combined with practical Realpolitik," Bismarck wrote, in a flourishing script copied to the document. "The world is a new place; it is a place for strength, and a place for wisdom in using it. Let us hope we may exercise both needs."

Hilmar Stern reported from Berlin.

KAISER'S REICHSTAG ADDRESS DETAILS NEW POLICIES ON ECONOMY, FOREIGN AFFAIRS

Image
Automobile manufacturing is a major industry in the Empire, as shown by this inside look at a Volkswagen showcase. Economists predict that German arms and technology industries will take a hit with the new, more liberal trade policies being imposed

By KLEMENS VON BREER
Published: May 14, 2013

BERLIN, German Empire — Earlier this afternoon, HIM Kaiser B.E. Steinbach addressed the Reichstag for two hours, elaborating upon the new, more open foreign policy that is being adopted by the Empire, as announced last night. Making the speech without use of notes or a pre-written text, HM addressed his three main topics — trade and economics, immigration and emigration, and alliances and embassies — in a concise, yet informative format.

"The German Empire will continue to retain its major tariffs and taxes on imported goods for foreign nations," HM said, launching into the first subject on the docket. "However, many — if not most — tariffs on goods from closely-allied and related nations such as Elcric Kcalb, New Belhavia, and Yohannes will be eliminated." The emperor also expressed a desire to expand trade relationships to other regions across the globe. "Though we have traditionally had strong connections in trade to places such as the Nineteen Countries and Nachfolgian Reich, we wish to establish more working relationships with other places. This is a necessary step in reducing the semi-isolationism Germany has been drawn into, attempting to significantly influence foreign affairs while keeping its subjects virtually ignorant of life and occurrences in other regions."

This is a daring statement to make, especially for HM the Kaiser, who has typically been seen as the initiator and most firm supporter of the Germanic enforcement of nationalistic imperialism.Though it has been criticised by many members of the right-wing Fatherland and Conservative parties, HM the Kaiser's usual loyalists in the Reichstag and Bundesrat, the emperor's new state of mind has garnered praise from many Free Democrats and Progressive People's partiers. "We are overjoyed to see the Kaiser's mind taking a more liberalistic turn," said Gunter Papesch, a leading member of the left-wing PPP. "His Majesty has always been known as an authoritarian, controlling, nationalist personality, and a dissemination of his extremism is not a bad thing at all."

Yet, some still have doubt as to the authenticity — or significance — of this change of heart by the German head of state. "Is this really that major a change?" said Eugene van Falk, a liberal political commentator for The Local. "I really don't see the great importance in this little policy-change. We're allowing more trade — with only right-wing nations we're allied to — and we're loosening up immigration — with only right-wing nations we're allied to. It's all publicity, from government-subsidised corporations like PrussCorp, trying to make their god-king look good."

Whether the new foreign policy will be a substantial change or not, it gained massive support from the German Reichstag. "We were, I am sad to say, on the path of the pariah state," HM said, to a hushed crowd of legislators. "I hope that our new attempt at openness may push us off of that path, and gain for us a new reputation for being a legitimate, advanced, right-wing nation." This began a brief throe of applause, from MPs across the political spectrum. "I really believe this is the beginning of a new era for Germany," said Theophil von Martens, a Christian Democrat MP. "We will begin a new day, one of cooperation with the international community, rather than hostility."

"Along with a decrease in the… extremity and militancy of our protectionism, a loosening of immigration and emigration laws will begin to be effected on June 1," HM the Kaiser announced, moving on from his discussion of economic policy. "We will, from now on, require only a legitimate ID for citizens to pass through customs between the Empire and other ACA states… nationals from states we are not officially allied with, but have close trade or ambassadorial relationships with — such as Yohannes or Ralkovia — will still require a passport and a brief, cursory, at-the-terminal screening, in order to ensure the visitor is not extremely undesirable." Asked to define "extremely undesirable" by an MP, the Kaiser replied: "Oh, you know, terrorists, serial killers, teen pop idols," to a quick blast of laughter.

"I find this to be an… interesting direction for the Germans to be taking," said Senator James Gulden, a noted Belhavian critic of the anti-ACA bloc. "Their militancy, though off-putting to some, more liberal and Leftist states, was a strict guarantee that their empire would remain intact and their society remain conservative. They were vehement in their quest for Communist elimination, and we [the Belhavian government] definitely didn't blame them for it."

"we will be seeking diplomatic and trade allies across the world," the Kaiser said, beginning to wind down his speech with a summary of the policy. "We will increase cooperation with our current allies. Economic advancement — which, my grandfather [Kaiser Georg] recognised to be the single most important aspect of national and imperial prosperity and eminence — will be a priority. We will continue to oppose the Red Horde, and remain leaders in the global counterrevolution; but, our aim will be to cease the alienation of fellow rightists and start making friends, in Tyrrhenia and across the globe."

Klemens von Breer reported from Berlin.

Finally, our allies are actually allies. This is a GOOD THING. Our old policy wasn't "hard-line," it was just plain hostile. Hostile to everyone except Germany and Nachfolgia. We need to get rid of a bit of our Germano-centrism, to be honest, it was becoming rather distasteful.

ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST - CASTILLE DE ITALIA EXPELLED FROM THE ACA

By EDZARD LIGNITZ and ROLF VON KLEEMANN
Published: June 17, 2013

BERLIN, German Empire — In the latest development of the ongoing drama at ACA Central Administration, the Imperial Theocracy of Castille de Italia has been ejected from the Anti-Communism Alliance. This comes just after the diffusion of the "Pardes Crisis," a mainly verbal conflict in which the prominent right-wing state was heavily involved, and is the second high-profile ejection of a state holding a seat on the ACA's Grand Council — the other being that of Hippostania, which was expelled in February.

The quickly-made decision to eject the Imperial Theocracy was undoubtedly made due to the Castillian Imperial Navy's sinking of the Akimonadi civilian cruise ship MS Lusitania II as she transited the Mokan Strait during the Dienstadi Expedition cruise. It is believed that the Castillian warship, the Octavius, considered the Lusitania II to be encroaching on Castillian sovereignty, coming within much too close a distance to Castillian territorial waters. When the Akimonadi captain refused to hand over control of the vessel to Castillian Commodore C. Verranzo, it was fired upon and sunk. Civilian casualties are confirmed as being at 7,694 passengers, seventeen of which were Emmerian nationals.

In the communiqué officially notifying Castille de Italia of its ejection from the Alliance, it is noted that the ACA is "a troubled organisation," and that "diplomatic and military activity" has been "at a high." While professing many problems the anti-communist crusaders have faced, it also condemned this act described by some as "war crimes" as a "travesty," and a "blemish upon the reputation of the Imperial Theocracy and the Anti-Communism Alliance" — serious enough to warrant Berlin expelling one of its most valued members.

The Emmerian United Press reported that this recent ejections showcases the "desperation" that has surrounded the ACA in recent months, and that it "proves" the ACA is "breaking apart."

German Deputy Foreign Minister, Adolf von Welf, firmly denied these assertions. "As noted in our communiqué to the Imperial Theocracy [of Castille de Italia], the ACA is undoubtedly troubled," he said in a press conference. "But 'troubled' does not necessitate 'breaking apart.' Many leaders within the Alliance expressed disappointment and sadness at the ejection of Castille, despite recognition that it was necessary. Attacking civilian vessels in international waters is unacceptable, to say the least, and we did what we had to do; however, His Majesty and several other heads of state are working together in order to ensure we stay as strong and solidified as always."

When asked whether any ACA member states were expected to support Castille de Italia unilaterally, he had this to say: "I do not expect so, and I sincerely hope not. Once again, these actions were unacceptable, and unfit for the conduct of a civilised nation."

Edzard Lignitz reported from Berlin. Rolf von Kleemann reported from Preslaff.

GERMAN GOVERNMENT OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCES SUPPORT FOR MEDICIANO

Image
Peter Suvorov, de facto leader of the Medician Empire, is an avid outdoorsman; here, he demonstrates to a Belhavian visitor the proper method for leading a moving target

By ULRICH HUENGER and HERWARD VON REMBERG
Published: August 21, 2013

BERLIN, German Empire — With the recent transition of governance in the Empire of Mediciano, a former member of the Anti-Communism Alliance, there has been much speculation as to the reaction of the German Empire. His Imperial Majesty, Kaiser B.E. Steinbach, has put these speculations to rest: German will stand with its ally.

"We will not bow to fanciful and sensationalist assertions that Mediciano is leading the region to war," HM said, delivering a speech at the Reichstag this morning. "The Medicians are friends of Germany, and what they seek is not Tyrrhenian destablisation; it is a restoration of their historical territories. This is a quest we have no reason — or ability — to deny them. The Medician Empire will be firmly supported by the German Empire."

This declaration has been taken as a full endorsement of what some have called a "military coup," executed by conservative hardline generals — most notably, Peter Suvorov, an advocate of a neo-anti-communist league to replace the void left by the dissolved ACA. Suvorov, who was seen standing by the teenage Medician monarch, Lucius I, as he notified the nation of its new leadership — namely, the military, Church, and Imperial Office of Mediciano — is identified as the true source of power in the new government. Though the sub-arctic nation remains an imperial monarchy, as always, its Congress has been dissolved and other inefficient bureaucracies eliminated.

While the support of former ACA nations such as New Belhavia is still in doubt, Germany has postured itself as an anti-communist world power still bent on eliminating the global threat of Communism. The Medician Empire has put itself in line with this philosophy as well — the emperor regaled the crowd with affirmations that "Communists, immigrants, refugees," and others that seek to "leech" off of Medician society, would no longer be tolerated.

Coming as no surprise to most political analysts, the worldwide reaction has not been so much astonished as it is somber. "I fear for the future of Tyrrhenia," says Tobin van Fleeskaam, a lobbyist affiliated with the Free Democratic Party. "Our region can only be destabilised more. Our government deludes itself if its thinks that Mediciano can go on a sprint of neo-imperialism without international backlash."

Others, such as conservative political pundit Maximilian Pflanz, are overjoyed at the news. "Thank you, Your Majesty for showing an ounce of German pride!" he said on his popular talk show, viewed by over five million Germans every day. "Thank you so much, for standing with our allies! Thank you for keeping our great nation on the path of righteousness! Thank you!"

It can only wait to be seen whether the dire predictions or optimistic foreshadowings will come true.

I don't give a damn if it's a 'military coup.' They are still our allies, and they are firmly pro-ACA, and even pro-Germany. It is demonstrably within our interests to support them. Long Live the Kings of Mediciano and Germany.

WEALTHY GERMANS DONATE MILLIONS TO BELHAVIAN CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATES

Conservative Hank Richman recently won a seat in the Belhavian Senate representing South Dakos, due in no small part to the generous contributions of German donors

PROVISA, New Belhavia — According to a recent exposé by the volunteer-based fact-checking organisation Die Unverfälschtes Fakten, donations numbering in the hundreds of millions of marks were given secretly to Conservative candidates running for seats in the New Belhavian Senate over the past decade, all by wealthy Germans trying to influence their neighbours' political climate.

With important names such as Robert Schwarz II and Roger von Blakk topping the list, it is now known that over twenty Senate candidates — most successful — received substantial donations from the upper echelons of German society. With lax or nonexistent laws regarding corporate and personal donations to political candidates in New Belhavia, DUF has stated that it is "shamefully easy" for major corporations and wealthy persons to covertly assist allies in gaining or retaining their places in the government.

The following is a short transcript of the three major donors and their careers, as well as known donation sizes, dates, and recipients:

"Why should I be ashamed of giving help to my associates, my friends?" asks Robert Schwarz II, co-owner of PrussCorp. Schwarz was enthusiastic when notified of this recent development in the political relationship between Belhavia and Germany, and encouraged reporters follow up on their lead and publish as soon as possible. "I have no problem with this information being out in the open," he says, in a matter-of-fact tone. "I have nothing to hide. I simply did not display this distribution of my personal finances to certain causes which are important to me."

Even though Mr. Schwarz emphasises the fact that the finances he "distributed" were "personal," and were given to causes "important" to him, it is notable that most of the CEO's contributions were transported through a Conservative super-PAC, BelhaviaInGold, which was a pillar of former Senator Leon Feingold's senatorial campaign.

Other major donors actually used company money to finance foreign politicos, such as Roger von Blakk. Blakk, who has declined to be interviewed, used the immensely profitable international corporation Deustch Kaiserlich Tabak as a base for recruiting voters and donating to campaigns, sometimes even putting Conservative literature inside cigarette packs. This form of aggressive advertising, though not illegal, has gained him criticism by many disparagers of supposed corporate influence in elections.

"International business conglomerates, corporate law firms, venture capitalist groups, and major domestic corporations all have unprecedented control over democratic elections in most developed regions," states the DUF website on its page titled 'Corporations and Their Affect on You.' "A profound lack of regulation and enforced transparency by governments has allowed the wealthiest and most powerful in society to gain a foothold in supposedly free and fair contests."

Reichstag member Kathrin Vogler, of the Progressive People's Party, spoke to various reporters about her strong feelings on the subject: "These men should all be convicted of treason. They bring shame to our nation. They try to skew information, affect opinions, and swing votes, through the use of money and brutal manipulation. I do not know why we still stand for this."

The exposé that first revealed these donations to the world also noted the immense success of these foreign-funded campaigns: "These donations seem to have had a maximum effect when directed onto advertising to their respective demographics. All of the major donors being successful businessmen, it is also possible that they may have hired professional ad agencies to work on campaigns anonymously, in order to further push the balance into their favour.

"The election of Hank Richman to the South Dakos seat was undoubtedly orchestrated by certain influential German men. Though it is believed Will Osman may have been the favoured candidate in the beginning, it was quickly seen that he was unelectable, and funds were soon diverted to Richman, which caused his sudden surge in popularity."

Both New Belhavia and Germany need to institute more fucking regulations on corporate donations. The influence of the 1% over supposedly democratic elections is enormous, and grows as their wealth does. There needs to be more transparency in donations of any size, and businesses need to be banned from attempting to influence voter opinion in any way at all. Only when we do all of this and more will we have truly representative government.
