When I sent the TG, informing him of the error, I had no idea it was intentional - I still don't think it is, I believe he just doesn't want to change it… for whatever reason. The error has no obvious benefit to anyone. He just said something that isn't true.

I didn't command him to do anything. I also did not insult him - once. I recognise it is "inconsequential to the RP as a whole" - I already noted it really wasn't a big deal. But now you're accusing me of, once again, OoCly insulting someone because of an IC action. Please, show me where I insulted anyone in my post. In any way.

I haven't done anything wrong. He can keep his erroneous news article - I was just letting everyone know that was what it was. Erroneous.

Stop behaving like a child. Know your place, and keep quiet.

You-
Hippo didn't leave the ACA voluntarily - we kicked him out. ICly, he was pretty pissed. Might want to edit your news post accordingly.

Me-
As far as I knew, he was given the option to leave after Yohannes threatened war. Not my problem.

That should have ended the conversation right there. But you being you, drug it on.

You-
...but that's completely inaccurate. He didn't even have any idea he was on the brink until he saw the communique ejecting him. He wasn't given any "option to leave." We unceremoniously kicked him out. Ask any ACA member, because I don't know where you got all this shit from. You're blatantly wrong.

Clearly you have some issues. Just because it doesn't say what you want it to say, factual or not doesn't mean you can throw a pity fest. I don't take well to people who act like they're special.

Me-
First of all watch your tone. It's a news media post. No such thing as a truthful news media. If you got a problem with it then oh well. Deal with it. I'm not changing it, end of story.

You-
I'm not watching my "tone." There is absolutely no reason for me to measure my tone for you.
And, I recognise that. I get propaganda, bias, etc, but what you reported wasn't any of that… it was just not true. I mean, it doesn't benefit you or anyone else in any way. It just wasn't true. I don't understand your obstinance. This isn't a matter of dispute, every involved with it in any way knew Hippo was forcibly expelled, as did anyone consistently watching our threads.

And this is what ticked me off. I have yet to see anything so far, of you asking nicely or behaving accordingly.

Me-
Well considering, I could care less over ACA threads, not my problem. Argue all you want, bitch all you want. I'm not wasting my time and changing it. Conversation is over now.

Now, as if you didn't get the point then. You decide to go cry wolf and run a pitty fest on the thread. Real mature bud, New Belhavia was so kind, and actually respectful by asking me to edit it. Much better handled by him then you, Let me explain something to you, you aren't anything special, and I could give a damn less what the hell you think. Your opinions mean absolutely nothing to me, especially by how you act. Know your damn place, Hush up, Deal with it and Get over it. This isn't some Highschool drama BS, and I will not put up with a kid who thinks everything he says matters, and when he doesn't get his way whines about it. This behavior is something I'd expect from my daughter and she's 5. Now, because I have much more respect for New Belhavia, and because he was respectful about it and asked me nicely, I will edit it so you can quit your damned whining. But if you don't like it, then by all means do us all a favor and shoo, because if you're willing to behave like this, we don't need you in the RP because you'll just cause trouble. End of story. Period.

And I agree with Prem, if you want to whine and complain and argue with me, either do it in TG, or bitch at me in IRC at #aca. I'm fed up with your attitude.

[OOC: It's still totally unnecessary. It makes no difference to the RP whether the news post was 'factual' or not. You've succeeded in derailing the thread just because you're angry at Prav and wish to make him look bad.

Speaking in my capacity as a mentor, I want you to know that your attitude and OOC conduct has worsened considerably over the past few months. I would suggest taking steps to correct this, because I, for one, am seriously considering not RPing with you further.

You must show respect to receive it, and you haven't been doing that lately.]

The Garlic: War of Worlds rages on
Martians to hold exercises in Pardes as Pravene missiles point towards Havenwalder capital

Oured, D.A., UNITED REPUBLIC (UP) — The interplanetary War of Worlds has heated up in recent days with Castille de Italia's newly declared exercises outside of Pardes. The War of Worlds, a term coined by a Havenwalder News (propaganda) Association article from Tuesday March 26 (but since unfortunately edited to the vastly inferior term "War of Words"), is a bloodless conflict between the martian alliance "Air Conditioning Association" ("ACA") and nations in the Pardes region.

During the latest ensuing battles (mostly consisting of angry words from both sides), Castille de Italia also announced a test of a brand new nuclear missile system that it intends to use against the United Republic.

"This one is bigger than my dick," new Castillian Secretary of Defense Tiberius told reporters. "I can't wait to see it come out of its hole."

The Garlic was unable to independently confirm whether the latter statement referred to the missile or Secretary Tiberius's dick.

U.R. President Luis Castilla denounced the nuclear missile test yesterday, calling it "maddening" during a speech while wearing his best bandana and wifebeater and holding a flaming pitchfork.

"Their latest actions make us angry!" President Castilla announced with a thunderous voice. "Down with Castille de Italia!"

As the War of Worlds has raged on, a number of smaller conflicts have intertwined themselves with it. The most apparent of such is the potential war between U.R. ally Pravengria and Tehraanian ally Havenwalde. Pravengrian propaganda outlet PNN reported that Pravengrian missiles were pointed at Havenwalder capital Bechstadt.

"We have removed our missiles from their silos," a Pravengrian military official who requested anonymity told The Garlic. "They are now lying on the beaches of our west coast, pointed towards Bechstadt using highly advanced GPS technology implemented in 1968."

When asked how the missiles would launch, the military official shrugged. "Our orders were to point them at Bechstadt, and that's what I'm doing."

In response to Pravengria's clearly provocative move, Premislydic propaganda station Premislyd Today aggressively ordered "Step Down Pravengria".

"Our highly accurate news networks are so informative that they can order other countries to step down," an anonymous Premislyder in the street told The Garlic. "I feel so sooty for other countries that are not blessed with such unbiased and neutral media."

Revolutionary Premislydic leader Ajatola Taras Yakiv Kozel, 12, told The Garlic that everyone else was acting too old.

"They are essentially behaving like adults. Throwing around long and difficult words in order to draw my attention to them so they can 'show off' to the martians and fellow Earthlings how 'smart' and 'mature' they are."

Premislyd has strongly sided with the martians in this conflict, despite its firm anti-air conditioning beliefs. International analysts say it may be because Ajatola Kozel is secretly a raging martian alien.

One analyst said there was "no doubt" Ajatola Kozel was an alien.

"The Ajatola has hair that looks like a turban. Who else does that?" the analyst remarked. "And look at his eyes. It's as if he's wearing some sort of extraterrestrial reading glasses!"

However, the analyst asserted that the Ajatola was at least at one point a human.

"He has criticized the martians' actions, their policies," the analyst said. "It is very clear that some sort of alien disease has consumed his mind."

Chancellery Apologizes For Rash Behavior
Chancellor Mede apologizes for DoD assumptions, behavior, and threats of war

Chancellor Mede Issues Apology

Shortly after the late Chancellor Vici was assassinated, Victoria Mede, former MP and Chairwoman of the Parliamental Committee for Defense was sworn in, after an emergency session between various government agencies. The sudden death of the Chancellor by James R. Tennison, the assassin, was a shock and outrage to the Castillian people, and led to new safety measures being adopted by the Securitatem Praefectorum. The Imperial government, primarily it's Department of Defense, voiced it's accusations of the assassination of Chancellor Vici by Emmerian operatives. The United Republic responded back rather harshly.

Newly appointed Chancellor Mede formally issued an apology to the United Republic of Emmeria, and to the international community concerning the accusations of Emmerian involvement, and CNN's reporting of it, which we did not source (We apologize ourselves, and justice has been dealt accordingly.) Mede held a press conference yesterday, regarding her apology.

"I would like to formally apologize for the inappropiate behavior conducted by senior officials of the Imperial Theocracy's ruling government, of which made heinous accusations towards the United Republic of Emmeria and the Castilla Administration, on the account of the death of the late and beloved Chancellor, Isabella Vici, who will always be in our thoughts. The Imperial government had no right to slander the name of the United Republic of Emmeria," Mede said during the conference. "The Imperial Theocracy has no intentions of war with the United Republic of Emmeria, and the fact that naval exercises near Pardes will be taking place is not an act of war, but rather an act of kindness. I have no intentions of sending any troops to Pardes."

The newly appointed Defense Secretary, Octavian Tiberius, was relieved of his post on account of being charged with conspiracy, inciting war and rebellion, and high treason. Before the departure from his post, Tiberius apologized, and then was escorted by military police to a military prison. Tiberius' trial will be next Tuesday, appearing before the Supreme Court, and if found guilty, will receive the death penalty. A replacement SecDef has not been appointed. The Imperial High Command will serve a joint-defense plan until Mede appoints one.

Tennison Cracks, Says "I Was Brainwashed!"

James R. Tennison, a former Imperial Marine, and small business owner, is now known as the man who shot Chancellor Vici. Tennison was arrested by Securitatem Prafectorum agents after mortally wounding the Chancellor. After being wounded himself, he was handcuffed and thrown into the back of a van. According to National Security Administration documents released today, Tennison cracked after nearly two days of torture. CNN was given exclusive rights to repeat the given information.

"Alright, I give up. Take the pliers from me... I'll tell you what you need to know. I was brainwashed!" Tennison said before the information we received ended. We don't know who it was behind the attack, or what they want. We do however, know that some of the openly acknowledged torturing techniques used were waterboarding, electroshock therapy, whipping, dunking, and other cruel methods. Most likely Tennison underwent these same trials.

Tennison, being an Imperial citizen, will be sent to Rutherford Detainment Facility in the Valeria Province, where he will most likely stay indefinitely. Rutherford DF is a maximum security prison for suspected terrorists and political dissenters. Rutherford DF is the subject of controversy, with passive conservatives claiming it being being a breach of human rights.

CNN itself would like to apologize to the United Republic for the misinterpretation and misleadings it has caused within the past week. We promise to not make such a impertinent mistake again. Thank you. ~ A. Uralius, Chairman of the INB

Hansdann: Empire "Severs Ties with Premislyd"; Embassy To be Closed Within 72 Hours

Bevy of Belhavian Firms Announce Facility Closures in Premislyd; Imperial Businesses Cut Economic Ties
April 30th, 2013 | By Joseph T. Kollen (jtkollen@aij.org) (AIJ)

Split, Premislyd — The Imperial Foreign Ministry announced today that in light of the recent policy change announced by Islamic Social Republic leadership, the Empire would be severing all diplomatic ties with the Split regime.

"We will follow the Social Republic's withdrawal deadline to the second," Jacen Gray, deputy Foreign Minister for Allied Affairs commented at a press conference in Freeport, N.B. "Our embassy will be closed and all diplomatic staff evacuated within the 72 hour time frame that they set." Following the startling proclamation by the Islamic regime of their withdrawal from the Anti-Communism Alliance, one of the leading geopolitical powers that is dedicated to fighting global communism, the Premislyder leadership's derogatory - callous, some say in the Capitol - rhetoric toward their former allies set off a cool reply. Within an hour of the announcement, Foreign Minister Joseph Hansdann emerged from an emergency Cabinet meeting to announce to reporters that the Empire was ceasing all formal ties to the Pardesi nation. "It is evident from [Premislyd Leader] Ajatola Taras Yakiv Kozel's reckless remarks, labelling his former allies falsely 'fascists' that they care not for our friendship. So be it. If Premislyd wishes to join the declining anti-ACA bloc, they are free to do so."

Within several hours, numerous Belhavian firms - led by corporate giant Roth Industries - announced in several public releases that they were closing down facilities in the Islamic Social Republic and cutting all economic ties. "The Premislyd regime just announced they intend to illegally target private Belhavian commerce in international waters," Roth Industries CEO and President Michael Roth remarked acidly, "There is no longer any benefit in doing business in such a nation. Any attacks on our lawfully-protected assets in open waters will be repulsed." A warning for all Belhavian shipping was posted on the Imperial Foreign Ministry's online bulletin, warning to stay clear of Premislyd waters or risk their ships and property being illegally commandeered by Islamic forces. The Imperial embassy in Split has been overwhelmed by panicked tourists and businessmen, who are seeking shelter from an increasingly hostile regime. "All Belhavian citizens will be safely evacuated within 72 hours," Gray reassured later on at his press conference.

Several warships docked in Split from the 5th Fleet, which is engaging in war games since February, practicing global force projection maneuvers with the Transnapistainis, are preparing to leave. "All R&R and shore leave is cancelled," Lieutenant James Fosian told us in the northwest Split harbor, "The captain said we'll be pulling out by 0800 tomorrow morning." Sources within Roth Industries, Gray Industries & Oil Consortium, Western Transport, Inc, and Balian Shipping confirmed privately that all Belhavian business interests were pulling out of Premislyd. "We've put the facility on the market," one source, a vice-president for sales who requested anonymity to speak freely, "And have our senior plant manager on a private jet [to come] home. The workers are getting their severance packages and pink slips tomorrow. We're working overtime to get all corporate documents and [non-Premislyder] staff offsite [as soon as possible]...once the embassy closes, we won't have anyone to support us [so] we plan on being out of the country on the embassy's [timetable]."

Admiral Warren, commander of the 5th Fleet, was reached via phone. He confirmed that "[Five] warships are in Split, and I've ordered them to depart within the 72 hour time frame...[meanwhile,] the fleet has pulled back into international waters to continue our war game exercises." Sam Waterson, a regional security consultant at the Sam Rohr International Relations Policy Center, responded to the news saying "I don't know where they [would] logically go...the CDI [won't have them], the H.U. won't [either], maybe they can throw their lot in with the Tarsans...the geopolitical implications of this rash decision don't line up." He paused, then replied, "Maybe Split has decided to go it alone. We'll see how much, if any, progress their decision has on their geopolitical influence in Pardes."

One senator from the Intelligence subcommittee, who met with us off the record, said "the Premislyd[ers] can get ****ed...they've gambled and they're go[ing] to flop. Who's gonna take them in? Emmeria? Akimonad?" He snorted derisively. Officially, Foreign Minister Hansdann replied to further questions with a "no comment," adding, "Premislyd made their choice. I have nothing else to say on the matter."

Frank Lamberti, an economist and Pardesi markets expert at the The Global Telegraph, opined that "the Premislyd economy may be in a free fall from this decision...all the loss of their FDI [Foreign Direct Investment] from their former A.C.A. allies, in such a quick window of time...I calculate that the Islamic Social Republic may lose between 0.8 and 1.2 percent of growth for this year alone. I doubt any other businesses [from ACA member-states] will remain, either, so that will definitely impact their import-export numbers and investment sector. The [U.S.-based] Dow and the PSE will have a field day of red ink over this."

Joseph T. Kollen reported from Split, Premislyd, and Micheal Jacobson in Provisa, N.B. None of these organizations are associated with the AIJ, and all opinions and personal views in the article do not reflect the viewpoints of the AIJ or their employees.

Terrorists Strike Mediciano's Congress Building; Dozens Killed or Injured in Brazen Day-Time Attack

Terrorist Vox Populi/Page 74 Video: "This is just the beginning."
May 6th, 2013 | By Joseph T. Kollen (jtkollen@aij.org) (AIJ)

PROVISA, New Belhavia — At 10:54 am this Sunday morning, a terrorist group that calls themselves "Page 74" launched a brazen day-time attack after the Imperial Congress adjourned for the day in downtown Castelmere, Mediciano. Witnesses describe a blue van of unknown make that slammed a idling car unto the sidewalk, injuring several before several masked men carrying assault weapons exited and grabbed three members of the Mediciano Popular Workers Party, and preceded to execute them, the Association of Imperial Journalists (AIJ) reported from the scene. After the gang-style executions of the Communists congressmen, the whole Congress Building shook as strategically-placed explosions brought the symbol of Mediciano politics down unto the ground into rubble.

The "Page 74" terrorists, who also went by "Vox Populi," released a video shortly afterward announcing their responsibility for the unprecedented attack. The video extolled the virtues of armed combat against communism, asserting that "We have struck, with might and ferocity, at the Communist Plague, " adding that "the [Anti-Communism Alliance's] tactics are utterly without teeth." Later, the masked speaker mocked the common refrain out of the Emmerian diplomatic corps, calling their oft-used phrase 'defunct crypto-fascist' "utterly pathetic...the ACA wishes they were fascist. They don't have the strength to actually slay communists around the globe."

World leaders reacted within minutes, calling the Imperial leadership in Mediciano to convey their support and condolences. Jacen Gray, the New Belhavian deputy Foreign Minister for Allied Affairs - frequently described as the ACA's global face - lashed out at the terrorist group "Page 74," calling them "Cowards who refuse to maintain their civilized composure to strike out not at communists, but anti-communist compatriots. Their completely unreasonable and horrific tactics are a disgrace to the anti-communist cause and, frankly, human dignity in general, and spread shame on all who oppose the tyranny of the global far left. They are no better than the Communists and socialists they claim to be fighting."

The AIJ reports that the Imperial leadership has not scheduled any press conferences, raising rumors that senior members of Congress may have been killed or seriously injured in the terrorist attack.

Joseph T. Kollen reported from Provisa, N.B. Michael Jacobson reported from Castelmere, Mediciano. None of these organizations are associated with the AIJ, and all opinions and personal views in the article do not reflect the viewpoints of the AIJ or their employees.

Der Standard - Wien
1st of May 2013

Kaiserin und Königin Maria Theresia battlegroup sorties. Eyebrows raised as Großadmiral Freiin von Lovisoni, Admiralinspector of the k.u.k. Kriegsmarine lambasts the New Belhavian Navy

The Imperial and Royal Aulic War Council announced on this evening that the battlegroup centered on Her Majesty's Ship Kaiserin und Königin Maria Theresia currently stationed in Portsdown, Belfras were ordered to an unspecified location to the north of Pardes. The battlegroup currently comprised of a Monarch-class Fleet Carrier, three ships-of-the-line and their escorts, who were just last week docked in Portsdown naval base, their crew enjoying the sights of the kingdom were seen departing from their piers yesterday evening. Hofkriegsrath representatives refused to give any details of the battlegroup's mission and made numerous references to the Intelligence Security Act of 2001.

The Admiralinspector in an interview however gave her private and personal thoughts to Der Standard, wherein the competency of the New Belhavian Navy in escort missions were doubted.

"The request by the Roth industry to involve Pyrion group, a private military contractor to secure its shipping raises the obvious question where is the New Belhavian Navy? Considering that they [the Anti-Communism Alliance] have already made quite a stir in an already inflamed region, I don't understand how they intend to improve the situation by introducing a third column in the form of an heavily armed private instance with possibly concealed motives, instead of for example initiate serious negotiations with the relevant parts and allow their fleet in Pardes, an universally legitimate force to secure Roth's shipping. Instead we see the universally recognized legitimate force employed to provoke the Pardesi population and the locally recognized legitimate force doing the navy's duties. If this isn't carelessly playing with a ball of fire, I don't know what is."

Concluding her notes on the Pardesi situation, Freiin von Lovisoni noted her agreement to several governments in Pardes that as far as it was possible Pardes is a primarily region for their own inhabitants, just as Europe itself is primarily a region for Europeans. The Imperial and Royal War Navy and its presence in Belfras was included in a previous agreement whereupon the sailors and officers of the Monarchy could interact and learn from those who had constructed the navy's vessels, given that the mission was completed, Lovisoni stated, there would be no reason to linger any further.

Furthermore, naval intelligence staff provided reconnaissance reports from Hawkeye MAEW patrols from the Maria Theresia on the force composition of the Pyrion group deployed in Pardes to Der Standard, they show multiple heavily armed destroyers with systems capable of deploying Tomahawk missiles according to the Naval Intelligence Center.

Pardes Crisis Heats, Pravene Strait May Be Closed To ACA Shipping
Pardes in turmoil after ACA exercises threaten region, Pravene Strait may be closed
May 6th, 2013, 4:58 PM EST | By Julius Flavius, CNN Journalist

Pardes In Turmoil, What A Surprise

Premislyd, one of the newer members of the Anti-Communism Alliance, has resigned, effectively making there no ACA nations in Pardes. This happened shortly after peaceful protests broke out in Split and across the nation, the Islamic Social Republic's capital, after a conflict was averted due to the Split regime applying for the ACA's Foreign Basing Initiative.

Leader of the Revolution, Ajatola Taras Yakiv Kozel was quoted saying "The noble experiment has ended. Not only is the Anti-Communism Alliance is largely flawed in its approach to combating the Red Menace, but it's fascist leadership did more harm than good."

Kozel went to say during the address, "We are better off without them and our departure will only improve the view points of not only the Great Satan [Rodarion], nations against the Anti-Communism Alliance, but throughout Pardes as a whole."

New Belhavia, one of the Grand Council members in the Anti-Communism Alliance, severed all political and economic ties to the Pardesian nation, evacuating it's embassy in Split, and moving thousands of super-corporation Roth Industries employees and other corporate firms out of the ISR Premislyd.

Castillian corporations have also followed the example of the Belhavians, reporting that fourteen of the nineteen major corporations operating in Premislyd have ordered the closure of their branches in the troubled country. Economic analysts from St. Mark's University in Preslaff expect a major impact to the Premislydian economy.

It is unsure if the Imperial government will severe all diplomatic ties with Premislyd, however. The Castillian Embassy in Split remains to be a symbol of friendship between the two religiously different nations. However, all Castillian troops that were in Premislyd, a very small number, were shipped home on account of the threats made by the Split regime.

The Castillian Department of Defense stated that it will not be sending ships to escort merchant shipping in Pardes, to help avert a potential conflict with Pardesian residents. The Imperial High Command stated that "It will not send destroyer escorts to Pardes, unless a merchant ship is attacked." However, it advised shipping firms to travel in convoys.

Pardes continues to be a hotbed of political controversy, as the ACA becomes more prevalent in the region. Nations such as the United Republic of Emmeria oppose the ACA influencing Pardes. Geopolitical analysts from St. Mark's University believe the ACA could help the troubled region, as war and threats run rampant between the opposing nations.

With Pravengria threatening the closing of the Pravene Strait, ACA shipping is being threatened with war. The Castillian State Department denounced the recent statement made by Supreme Admiral Shakarty. Secretary of State Anabelle Eumaius said that "Closing the Strait is a terrible idea, ACA shipping bears no threat. None of these ships are armed, nor do they carry troops. We even said we weren't sending destroyer escorts to Pardes shipping lines."

It is unsure whether the Pardes Crisis will either end or explode...

Correction - 5/6/13 @ 6:47 PM EST: We were under the impression that the Pravene government supported the closing of the Strait. It is also noted that United Press, an Emmerian media outlet, has also done the same. We apologized for the mistake, and assure you we will try to prevent such events from happening in the future.

Overcompensating?
Propagandists overstate economic effect after leaving ACA

6 May, 1434 (2013 C.E)| By Maksymilian Zientek; Translated by Petra Zoric

The major expression most government officials had when reading CNN and the Provisa Times
Bol’shoye Vodzimon’ye, Premislyd — Just days after the Islamic Social Republic's withdrawal from the Anti-Communism Alliance, reports have been poring in from the Provisa Times and CNN that several of their "top companies" are withdrawing from the Premislydic markets and that they even went so bold as to say that this will cripple the Premislydic economy.

But this raises a plethora of questions.

One of these such questions is: "How exactly can Anti-Communism Alliance nations have such a strong impact on a nation that has only been involved in an alliance for only a two months?" We asked this question to Matej Stankic, one of the leading economists in Premislyd and professor of macroeconomics at Kijani University at Bol’shoye Vodzimon’ye. His reply was very straight forward, simply commenting "I don't know" when asked. He later went on to say, "I'm not entirely sure where they're getting this information from. Two months is much too short for nations to gain a large dominance in the economy of another nation."

"The information provided by [the] Provisa Times and CNN is largely propaganda meant at trying to show the Premislydic public how foolish the decision," Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivo Vuokuja, commented. "They're making up facts to try to show how relevant the ACA is in regards to the geopolitical map of Pardes. The fact that CNN even bothered to add in "troubled country" should just add more proof of how they're scrambling around trying to make themselves seem tough."

Minister Voukuja's comments seem to be the one carrying weight amongst the public. Although Ajatola Kozel has refused to comment on this news inaccuracy, a spokesman for Ajatola Kozel did comment: "We wish that [the Provisa Times and CNN] would do some research on their facts. At this point they are no better then PNN."
Just a heads up, I suffer from [insert stereotypical internet illness here], and will use it as an excuse instead of taking responsibility for my actions.

PARDES CONTINUES TO DESTABILISE AS PREMISLYD DEPARTS ACA

Maximilian Pflanz, popular Fascist political pundit and analyst, speaks out against Premislydi ACA membership on his popular day-time talk show, "Das Maximilian Pflanz Anzeigen"

BERLIN, German Empire — The Imperial German Foreign Office has recently published a press release regarding the withdrawal of the Islamic Social Union of Premislyd from the Anti-Communism Alliance, as well as the escalating diplomatic and trade situation in the region of Pardes, which has been covered in the barest possible form by the regional news network. The following excerpt from the lengthy document details the feelings of the government toward the nations of Pardes, including Premislyd.

"The ultimate goal of the Anti-Communism Alliance is the eradication of that vile disease that is Communism. Whether this eradication is effected through military intervention by the ACA, domestic legislation across the world, or imperialist ventures by capitalist states is of no concern to us.
"For example, the Havenwaldian Executive Order #1284 is a major diplomatic move on the international stage, and is the beginning of an anti-communist trend in the region of Pardes. Other such laws and orders are being implemented across the world, eliminating unwanted Leftist influence from the leading nations of the civilised world. This is the ACA's goal being achieved without the ACA. This is what we were hoping for.
"When the German, Nachfolgian, and Tyrannian heads of state met to form our glorious organisation, their hope was that the ACA would begin a worldwide, right-wing movement. Not only one that would oppose the far-left, but one that would impose societal order, national hierarchy, and a culture of competing undertakings unto the entire earth. This has begun to bear fruit.
"The resignation of Premislyd from our group means nothing. They were a pariah among our ranks from the beginning. Their radical Islamist and isolationist worldview was ultimately incompatible with the ACA's direct mission. They would not cooperate in alliance programmes, and resisted Alliance authority. They will continue in their fight against domestic Leftism, just without the ACA. This is of no concern to us. If Premislyd begins to fall to the Communists, we will be there; until such a time comes, their nation is theirs."

This profoundly peaceful attitude shown by the German government has appalled many across the political spectrum, including Fascist political commentator Maximilian Pflanz. Pflanz, in a characteristic show of nationalism and a devotion to the quest for empire, has bluntly condemned the release as "weak" and "sorrowfully spineless." He, on his popular talk show on Fuchsbau Nachrichten, implored HM Kaiser B.E. Steinbach to "get back to those old days, when you ached for new territory every bored weekend." Neither His Majesty nor any of His Majesty's officials has commented. However, many other pundits have proffered opinions on the graceful show of diplomacy executed by the Foreign Office. One such pundit is Otmar Kayss, former vice-chairman of the Progressive People's Party and two-decade member of the Reichstag. Kayss, Pflanz's main political opponent, scoffed at the Fascist's analysis of the situation. "Maximilian, as usual, has no idea what he is talking about," the man many suspect of being a socialist stated. "The man who has never been a member of the government, never chaired a political committee, never been involved in politics except to provoke electronic shock waves across the nation, believes he has the power to order the emperor to change our foreign policy. His delusions would almost be funny, if they were not so utterly pitiful."

Pflanz also addressed Havenwalde's Executive Order #1284, banning communism within its borders. "It's a trap!" he gasped, recalling memories of a popular science-fiction movie franchise. "They're trying to trick us into staying out of their business! Well they won't trick us, g********! We've got a noose ready, commies!" This outburst provoked a firestorm across the forums and blogs of the Empire, either praising or condemning Pflanz's virulent language. Many consider his statements to be "threats" against national Pardesian leaders, while others consider them necessary bouts of nationalism. Whatever the case, His Majesty the Kaiser appears to have been ignoring these wars of words and focused on his business: running the country.

Among the government's concerns that have yet to be directly addressed are the protection of Pardesian shipping rights and ACA influence in the area. The United Republic of Emmeria, in yet another show of inflammatory military gestures, has vowed to support Pravengria's anti-ACA threats of closing off the Pravene strait to Anti-Communist merchant vessels. The Emmerian United Press reported that Dr. Jackson Rouad, chief economist in Chaleur-based economy magazine Worldview, criticised the notion. "Pravengria's move is just ineffective, irrelevant, and largely symbolic," he told Emmerian reporters. "A majority of ACA nations are located towards Pardes's north, so practically none of the ACA's merchant shipping would be coming through the straits anyway." Emmerian Secretary of Defense Aiden Lawson stated during a press conference that "[Pravengria would be] increasingly isolating itself and [...] transforming from an effective partner in promoting global human rights to a nation that ineffectively enforces obsolete and oppressive policies."

The "Pardesian Situation," as the geopolitical scene in the region has come to be known, has been been further escalated by a hasty severing of ties between Premislyd and the Constitutional Monarchy of New Belhavia, a strong ally of the German Empire and leading member of the ACA Grand Council. Jacen Gray, Belhavian deputy Foreign Minister for Allied Affairs and public face of the Anti-Communism Alliance, announced that the empire would be following Premislyd's deadline for ambassadorial evacuation "to the second." Belhavian Foreign Minister Joseph Hansdann announced to reporters that New Belhavia was ceasing all formal ties to the Pardesi nation. "It is evident from Ajatola Taras Yakiv Kozel's reckless remarks, labelling his former allies falsely 'fascists' that they care not for our friendship. So be it. If Premislyd wishes to join the declining anti-ACA bloc, they are free to do so."

When questioned at a briefly-held press conference in Berlin, German Foreign Minister Paul von Bismarck echoed similar sentiments. "Whether they [Premislyd] are going to join the increasingly-deluded cabal of anti-ACA conspirators, only time will tell," he said, slowly working his words as the room went quiet. "I do not view this as a major move on any political scene, even the Pardesi domestic one. It is not as if their membership in our Alliance affected their behaviour in the slightest. They are a group of frantically religious, idealistic, quasi-fascist Muslims, and not to be trusted. I have affirmed this, and His Majesty has encouraged his Cabinet not to feel downtrodden; our [the ACA's] involvement in Pardes has only begun."

This article was reported from Berlin, capital of the German Empire.

The ACA should stay out of Pardes. I dont see a point to this. I mean, if they're going to burn themselves to the ground, let them, right? We're us, we're Germans, not Pardesians.... Pardes for Pardesians, Tyrrhenia for Tyrrhenians. Maybe if we didn't mess with them so much, they'd leave us alone, right/ Did anyone ever think of the Golden Rule? No? Well maybe we need to start holding the elites in Berlin a bit more accountable from now on huh.

Analyst: Prussian news outlet gets the story right
Former reporter confirms that PrussCorp actually reported accurate news and not nonsensical bullshit

Image SHARE THIS: Image Image Image Image
6 May 2013 10:48 PM | By Joshua Rigalis (@JRig_Garlic) (The Garlic)

BERLIN, German "Empire" — In a unique and historic turn of events, completely unbiased news network PrussCorp reported a story with accurate facts instead of the normal completely nonsensical bullshit, according to media analyst Jason Keyes.

"I mean, it's clear that they put a lot of effort into the informational accuracy of their articles," Keyes said. "They even got Premislyd's official name right. It's obviously not 'Islamic Social Republic', unlike what Premislyd's government documents state. PrussCorp, who called it 'Islamic Social Union', definitely got it right. Premislyd is wrong about their official name."

The article in question said that the United Republic of Emmeria "vowed to support Pravengria's anti-ACA threats", and then proceeded to quote U.R. Defense Secretary Aiden Lawson and an Emmerian economist bashing Pravengria's decision.

It is clear to The Garlic that this represents the pinnacle of accurate reporting.

"There's this new thing they invented that generally prevents such informational fallacies," the U.R. Defense Secretary told The Garlic. "It's something they started teaching to first-graders about 100 years ago, and it's called 'reading'."

The Garlic does not officially support Secretary Lawson's opinion. Obviously Secretary Lawson has not been paying attention to world events in his criticism of PrussCorp. In order to support its opinion, The Garlic is hereby suing Secretary Aiden Lawson for prostitution, and is willing to donate PrussCorp 160,000 prescription lenses to aid them in their cause.

Argan: Comments by Emmeria's Lawson "Welcome", Imperial and U.R. Navies to Cooperate on Pardes Sea Lanes

Imperial War Minister Is Uncharacteristically Warm Towards Emmeria, Calls U.R. Navy Policy "Common Ground"
May 7th, 2013 | By Joseph T. Kollen (jtkollen@aij.org) (AIJ)

PROVISA, New Belhavia — At a press conference yesterday afternoon at the Imperial War Ministry in downtown Provisa, War Minister Jan Argan - the usually gruff and ultranationalistic war hawk and former 10th Division four-star Army general - was uncharacteristically warm towards the United Republic of Emmeria, a nation who has been both partner and geopolitical foe to the Empire. He lauded the new policy of cooperation on shipping lanes protection by the United Republic Navy, remarking that such comments were "most welcome." He elaborated that the supportive remarks by U.R. Secretary of Defense Aiden Lawson "indicates that [the Imperial government] may have found some common ground with the United Republic...with such cooperation, our two navies can work to build stability and protect free markets. This is, indeed, an exciting time."

When questioned by reporters, Argan backtracked comments made months earlier criticizing the Emmerian leadership of being for "white-knight pseudo-freedom," suggesting "We [all] say things from time to time during heated geopolitical interactions that we regret. If our two nations continue to build closer ties and work together, I can say confidently I was completely wrong a few months ago. I hope I will be able to do so. Recent Emmerian actions are extremely encouraging." Meanwhile, deputy Foreign Minister for Allied Affairs Jacen Gray - proclaimed by the political junkie website ProvisaInsider.com as the Imperial leadership's "golden boy" - was more exuberant, exclaiming at a press conference in the politically swing district of Port Adrian, Freeport province, that he "was extremely upbeat with the recent comments coming out of Oured." When pressed by reporters on while rumors of a diplomatic visit to Emmeria in coming weeks by him was a reality, Gray demurred, saying "no comment."

Sam Waterson, a regional security consultant at the Sam Rohr International Relations Policy Center, opined that "relations between the Empire and the United Republic are getting progressively warmer...I suggest there is a geopolitical component behind-the-scenes going on [here]." He added, "The War of Words has returned in a partial fashion - but Emmeria is nowhere to be found among the virulent anti-ACA criticism when it comes to New Belhavia. I think that the two nations are having their relations 'evolve' from rivals to possibly partners. This is an interesting phenomenon....I would keep an eye on it."

Meanwhile, potential Liberal Democratic Senate candidate and former governor Jack Haller shot a barb towards the presumptive Conservative frontrunner in the open 2014 Freeport Imperial Senate election, accusing "[President] Goldman and other extreme right-wing Conservatives in Provisa hope to give [deputy Foreign Minister Jacen] Gray a foreign policy scalp on his belt," referring to ongoing rumors of a diplomatic visit by Gray to Emmeria to jump-start a restoration of Imperial-United Republic relations. Senior Gray aide Jason Travellon shot back during an interview on NBNN that "Haller was grasping at thin straws...if deputy Foreign Minister [Jacen Gray] runs for the open Senate seat, [Jack] Haller knows he'll be beaten badly [and] end any comeback [narrative] for his inept and failed far left political career."

Joseph T. Kollen reported from Provisa, N.B. Michael Jacobson reported from Oured, the United Republic of Emmeria. None of these organizations are associated with the AIJ, and all opinions and personal views in the article do not reflect the viewpoints of the AIJ or their employees.

Radical Dichotomy May Lead to War; A.C.A. and Pardes Continue to Clash

Ideological dualism leads to a "volatile powder keg", only a matter of time until complete loss of reason

President L. Castilla, Emmeria (Pardes)
Though international headlines and the overall world of geopolitics often vary considerably from day-to-day, for the previous three months, much of the global journalistic lens has been focused on the heightening tension between the largely reactionary "Anti-Communism Alliance" and the region of Pardes.

While the proverbial continued elevation in tensions has primarily hinged on a persistent flood of bellicose rhetoric issued from various governmental apparatuses and state-supported institutions of reactionary currents from the respective member states of the Anti-Communism Alliance, a constant barrage of privately-funded agitation and propaganda campaigns conducted by majoritarian liberal democracies in Pardes has further fed the fire beneath the boiling pot that constitutes the present relationship between the A.C.A. and Pardes. In the accumulative past seventy-two hours, however, this dichotomy of radically oppositional fronts has reached a predictable – if but potentially catastrophic – bottleneck; such a bottleneck has, largely been contrived due to the dualistic and absolutist perspectives the respective players in the so called "War of Words" have assumed.

Rising as the proverbial voice of Pardes, the United Republic of Emmeria has played a significant role in the predicated effects of the present situation on the international stage. A political analyst of the State Academy of Rekrestok, wishing to remain anonymous, stated of the United Republic, "[They] have helped pack the lining for the volatile powder keg to which they so openly espouse a desire to avoid." This analysis stands in stark contrast to the agitating accounts given by various newswires from Pardes, chief amongst them being the Emmerian-based United Press. Though often under-reported by international media, a recent UP article, in an attempt to further goad member states of the Anti-Communism Alliance into a confrontational, reactionary fervor, released highly-opinionated and controversial statements issued by the Emmerian Deputy Secretary of State Richard Burns comparing a New Belhavian Deputy Foreign Minister to a child, insisting the official "re-attend some type of children's daycare."

Such deliberately provocative behavior from Pardes seems to be penultimately exemplified by the current Emmerian President, Luis Castilla who, as of March 16th of this year, has threatened to utilize military force in order to curtail potential Alliance activity in the region – including activity conducted well within the bounds of commonly-defined international waters. While such behavior is not unprecedented in the activities and polices enacted and espoused, respectively, by such interventionist ochlocracies as the United Republic, the Emmerian government has yet to be publicly observed willing to fabricate evidence in regard to the activities and status of its opposition. Such cannot be said to be the same for several allied states within the A.C.A.

Following the highly-publicized withdrawal of the last remaining Pardesian member of the Anti-Communism Alliance, the Islamic Social Republic of Premislyd, the New Belhavian press announced a minority opinion of an Alliance-sympathetic economist that, in lieu of the Islamic Social Republic's withdrawal from the A.C.A., it may face a "0.8 and 1.2 percent" loss of economic growth this year due to a sudden loss of Foreign Direct Investment allegedly supplied to the social state by the Alliance. This heavy allegation has flown in the face of several empirical economic reports from the Pardesian region, including one issued by the Social Republic itself attesting to the contrary, mainly due to the brief, approximately two month period to which the Islamic Social Republic was an active participant in the Alliance.

Regardless, founder and nominal "leader" of the Anti-Communism Alliance, the "German Empire", has continued to issue statements in regard to the pending recession the Premislydic people may soon face, as well as the supposed station of the Islamic Social Republic within the Alliance during its exceedingly brief membership period. A recent lengthy and scathing press release from the Prussian Foreign Office stated:

"The resignation of Premislyd from our group means nothing. They were a pariah among our ranks from the beginning. Their radical Islamist and isolationist worldview was ultimately incompatible with the [A.C.A.'s] direct mission. They would not cooperate in alliance programmes, and resisted Alliance authority. They will continue in their fight against domestic Leftism, just without the [A.C.A.] This is of no concern to us. If Premislyd begins to fall to the Communists, we will be there; until such a time comes, their nation is theirs."
This official release seems to mimic, according to previous official government opinions issued by the Empire, not only the official opinion of the Prussian state, but seems to further demonstrate an increasingly prevalent slide into demagoguery - a popular tool amongst several staunchly reactionary parties privy to the upper echelons of the Alliance.

This constant pattern of rhetoric and returns has, ultimately, lead to a tense and potentially worrisome climate between the Anti-Communism Alliance and the region of Pardes. With commercial shipping potentially threatened in the region and talk of anti-Alliance blockades, the Fortified State has increased its monitoring of the continued escalation of the so-called "Rhetorical Cold War", going so far as to domestically begin an active recall of Temporary Residency Visas by the State Commissariat of Internal Affairs of Pardesian nationals currently residing within Kyrusia, effective as 4:00 AM Standard Volodyan Time this morning. While the representatives from the Foreign Nationalities Directorate were unavailable for comment, the S.C.I.A. did release an official statement following its decision:

"The State Commissariat for Internal Affairs Seventh Directorate, following a continued escalation of tensions and elevation of general alerts within the region of Pardes, indicative of the continuing spoken conflict between itself and the [Anti-Communism Alliance], has decided to begin an active review and potential recall of all temporary residency and housing documentation of foreign nationals from the region of Pardes, including nationals from the United Republic of Emmeria and the Federated Commonwealth of Pravengria. [...] Pardesian nationals within the Fortified State may be contacted within the following seventy-two hours for a Review of Residency hearing and, pending an outcome, may temporarily face residency revocation due to the continuing crisis and the potential impact such may have on foreign nationals residing within the Fortified State in the event of a drawn-out conflict. [...] The Seventh Directorate wishes to assure the international media that this decision is in no-way meant to be misconstrued as a declaration of persona non grata upon Pardesian nationals and is exercised purely out of a concern for their ability to return to their respective homelands in the event of an eruption of open strife."
While the Seventh Directorate has, as of yet, not released potential figures on Pardesian nationals residing in Kyrusia, it is estimated that less than two thousand are present within the Fortified State, many purely in an official diplomatic or commercial capacity, and thus may be exempt from the S.C.I.A.'s declaration. Even so, with the continuation of the crisis and its perpetual unfolding, due to the drastic ideological and philosophical differences between the two primary actors of the "War of Words", many Kyrus feel the likelihood of a conflict is inevitable, with the window for a chance of a reasonable peace and a de-escalation of tension rapidly closing. While the Centre has, as of yet, refused to officially issue a statement in regards to the crisis, an anonymous source within the Kyruseredenya has stated that the next thirty-six hours will likely be the crescendo of the crisis, with the possibility of open war a decidedly likely possibility.

Pardes saved by Rodarian pressure on Split

President Ion Ilescu's recent picture - He has suffered lung cancer for the past 5 months

President Iliescu - "We saved Pardes, not the U.R or even the reforms made by Split".

President Iliescu has spoken out for the first time in months, due to his fight with lung cancer, he has been seen rarely in Parliament or public. In his speech via radio from the Saint Valeriu Hospital in Constanţine, the President advocated that the Papal Republic was the primary reason why the Islamic Social Republic withdrew from the A.C.A. The President who continuously stated that Premsilyd's regime could not be allowed to foster close relations with alliances or entities that threatened the Pardesian community. President Iliescu has also been a strong critic of the nature of the regime in Split, to which he blamed for the outbreak of the Vesarius War.

In his address, President Iliescu spoke out against the ACA, "These groups of fascists continue to parade themselves as liberators of mankind from the madness and heretical nature of Communism, yet these nations do not have the word of god to guide them, they do not have faith to protect them and above all they do not have the cross to bare into battle, they are no different from those they wish to destroy, they are opportunistic parasites that so nearly brought war and death to Rodarion and Premislyd".

Premislyd withdrew from the ACA several days ago which was a result of the vast and staggeringly bold reforms put forward by the Split regime. As such many figures in Rodarian media, clergy and politics have credited Rodarion for this eventuality, supporting this with the deployment of the 3rd Army and the diplomatic pressure place upon the Islamic Social Republic.

President Iliescu furthered this point, "Many in the CDI and other states will claim it was them who saved Pardes from a permament ACA base in Premislyd, but it was in fact the Papal Republic. Our bravery, our boldness and conviction over saving the region from the poisonous presence of the ACA, allowed the Papal Republic to pressure the Islamic state into correcting its ways, into backing out of that fools circus, they saved themselves and indeed the lives of Rodarian soldiers. Split knew they couldn't resist the Papal Army if they stood firm over their deluded entry into the ACA, but I thank the Lord that they came to their senses, I thank the lord that the armies of the devil have departed, and I pray they never return, lest we should destroy them should they come near our borders again".

Since the Premilydic withdrawal, the media circles in Rodarion have continuously pushed forward Rodarion's success at persuading Split to abondon the ACA and return to maintaing peace along the Vesarius border.

Major General Victor Ponta the Army Cheif of Staff gave a comment on the President's speech, "I completely and utterly agree with the President, the Premislydic gave under Rodarian pressure, not nation in Pardes could of done so with such success, as many will say we are the rising power in southern Pardes and Premislyd knows this, they chose to give way to peace than face a second war they could not possibly win, so I thank the Premislydic for being bold enough to recognise this and to change course, they did us all a favour and helped Rodarion save the day".

In relation to the President, due to his failing health, Vice President Tranu Olmescu has taken up most of the President's duties. Last week it was revealed that the president is expected to last for a couple more weeks or months, our prayers and that of the nation are with him daily.

Rural town, UNITED REPUBLIC — A recent Gallup poll reported that 80% of rural Emmerians would prefer German Empire Kaiser B.E. Steinfuck over current United Republic President Luis Castilla.

"We don't need no damn gay-lovin' liberal as prez-ee-daynt!" rural Emmerian Doug Smith told The Garlic. "What we need is a conceited, self-centered, arrogant man! And Kaiser Steinfuck is the perfect choice!"

Gallup indicated that Kaiser Steinfuck comprised 81% of poll answers. Other high vote-getters were New Belhavian Emperor Ryan Alien (7%), Rodarian Pope Suburban (5%), and Titianician dear leader Jack Laggin' (2%). President Luis Castilla received .005% of the 9,213,294,293,291,243,000 votes.

The poll may end up determining the outcome of the election later this year.

Archon to Pardes: " Itailia will keep shipping lanes"

Archon Maura Evelin - " The Empire will protect the right of free trade on the waters of Pardes"

Evening Star 21, 2E69| By: Marius Pestorianus

EBONAERVON- Ever since the beginning of the largely increased rhetoric between Pardes nations and the Anti-Communist Alliance, the Empire has stayed largely neutral in the so called War of the Words between mainly the United Republic and the ACA's forefront representative in the verbal clash, New Belhavia. However, all of this changed on Monday when along with the announcement of a new Cabinet, Archon Evelin freshly out of a confirmation vote announced that her administration would back the Emmerian initiative to keep the commercial shipping lanes in the region of Pardes open and to ensure that she was being entirely serious, the 4th Eastern Blue Fleet has been pulled from it's patrols of the waters north of Valeryth island chain and redirected to Decius Naval Base in southern Ertucia province, with unconfirmed yet reported orders to begin escorting merchant vessels in and out of shipping lands. Such an undertaking which stretch the recently reduced fleet to it's maximum, with the total number of ships in it reduced to just under two hundred following budget cuts in the Department of Defense.

The Archon's Office has repeatedly stated that the Archon herself wishes for nothing but peace in the whole region and for all parties involved to 'work things out', however an official statement mentioning as much as yet to be made.

The Downward Spiral
Emmerian President Luis Castilla Shot In Split, Pronounced Dead Soon After
May 8th, 2013, 4:37PM EST | By Julius Flavius, CNN Journalist

The United Republic of Emmeria has just lost one of its own, President Luis Castilla, in a successful assassination attempt by an unknown shooter. The Emmerian President was giving a speech in Split, the capital of the Islamic Social Republic of Premislyd, which would be his last.

The United Press, an Emmerian news outlet, reported in several "News Pulse" updates that President Castilla was shot by an unknown assassin while giving a speech in Premislyd. As the Emmerian Secret Service took over, Castilla was rushed to an ICU with a major wound to the head. He was later pronounced dead at Presveto Trojvsta Hospital in the Premislydic capital.

There has been no reports of who will fill President Castilla's position. It is assumed the Emmerian Vice President, Washington Hayes will. However, the assassination will prove tough for the United Republic, as it searches for the assailant. Given that Pardes is a hotbed of political, economic, and military strife, conflict is likely, as there are nations on edge.

Geopolitical analyst from St. Mark's University, Lǣlianus Iacchus, just now stated in a Tweet that "The assassination of [President] Castilla couldn't have come at any worse of a time. With the ACA, CDI, and the rest of Pardes at each other's necks, tempers will rise. Look at what happened with ourselves. [Chancellor] Vici was assassinated, and we blamed the [United] Republic. Now, they haven't done the same yet, and hopefully they won't. What we did was a mistake, and we need to do everything in our power to ensure Pardes doesn't explode."

Iacchus' comments are absolutely true: Pardes is a powder keg, and all it needs is one spark. With leaders being assassinated and words of hate and disgust tossed around like rocks, an all-out brawl seems likely. Although there is cooperation between the ACA and CDI to protect shipping lines in Pardes, the "rhetoric cold war," as the Kyrusian news outlet KSBI had put it, is in full swing, and either side doesn't seem to show signs of backing down.

There has been no official response from the Castillian State Department, nor from any other ACA nation, probably due to it just happening so recently. We will keep you updated as these events unfold. CNN would like to send our condolences to the United Republic.

EMMERIAN PRESIDENT CASTILLA ASSASSINATED
Quigley: "We will stand by our friends in this time of crisis"

Split, Premislyd - During a speech in Split, the capital of Premislyd, the President of the United Republic of Emmeria, Luis Castilla, was shot and wounded. He was immediately taken to Presveto Trojstva Hospital and was pronounced dead. Emmerian media has reported that there are currently no suspects in the assassination.

Akimonad reacted quickly to the attacks, with security in Kent, the capital, being reinforced, and tours of the Presidential Home cancelled for the day. Sources also reported that the military's alert level had been raised.

Speaking at an emergency press conference, President Jonathan S. Quigley expressed condolences. "The people of Akimonad grieve with the Emmerians. We will stand by and support our friends in this time of crisis." He also urged restraint, saying "It would be improper to jump to conclusions without all of the facts. This is a chaotic time, and we must let the criminal justice system do its work. Rest assured, however, that Akimonad will support Emmeria in bringing the perpetrator or perpetrators of this heinous act to justice."

Tributes to Emmeria were arranged across the country. In Kent, the Army Band played the Emmerian national anthem during the Changing of the Guard at the Parliament, causing traffic along Parliament Avenue to come to a standstill. The Parliament itself quickly abandoned its schedule for the day, passing a unanimous resolution declaring support for the Emmerian people and directing President Quigley to order forces already in Emmeria to assist wherever possible. A moment of silence was held, and afterwards Parliament recessed for the day.

Meanwhile, nations from the ACA have already used the incident as another example of the region of Pardes being 'unstable'. They point to the current conflicts which are engulfing the region. Director for External Affairs had strong words about this theory, saying "Pardes is 'unstable' largely because of the ACA's presence. If the ACA would leave Pardes completely--as they should, because they no longer have any business being there--the nations of Pardes would calm right down. The presence of the ACA is destabilizing Pardes, and yet the ACA willfully ignores this. It is completely ridiculous and must stop."

Reaction from other parts of the globe was not immediately discernible.

Deathtoll at 28 in Ressallia Disaster, Last of passengers Rescued; Government slams Rodarion and ACA

Porte Sol, Pravengria- The 72 hour window for rescue came to a close earlier than expected as the rescue crews by the Royal Navy who had been working around the clock finally airlifted the last passenger from the HMS Ressallia that capsized Monday. Out of the 843 passengers and crew who were aboard the ship, 28 have been confirmed dead including a Belfrasian and two Emmerian tourists. With the last of the passengers having been escorted in land some to receive medical attention, among the dead that were found was that of Captain Sergio Almond who coroners have stated died from a severe head injury upon being struck with a large object while under deck.

Reports by the crew indicate that Almond and four other crew members had rushed to get to lower decks to try and aid anyone who was trapped, of the five only three crew members were still alive upon rescue. With the success of the rescue, the Navy is now left with what to do over the cruise ship which still sits 24 kilometers north of Porte Sol.

Saxonopl' slams ACA and Rodarion

Amidst rising tensions within Pardes against the ACA as well as that between domestic parties, Saxonopl' released a report yesterday critisizing both Rodarion and the ACA. This came after increasing rhetoric, and statements made by the parties in question. The report which is forty-five pages starts with Rodarion critisizing the country to being ''backwards'' and ''displaced'' within the modern world. With that came statements saying that ''[Rodarion] is a nation that seems to have been lost in time, choosing their policies over religious views and claiming secular nations to be deserving of death for the absence of god. Such claims are childish and show more of a country with mass hysteria and a government that is completely backwards and unfit in the Modern World. Such things can be compared to a notable leader in the 1940s[Hitler] where Rodarion has replaced him with their pope.''

The increasing tensions Rodarion has been causing had brought Pravene attention to the country, where one such commentator collectively called them, ''Religious Fascist'' implying that the nation was using a morphed form of fascism to get their religion across. Many have compared Rodarion to a notable group the ACA who in the report were mentioned to be, ''Barbaric, Backwards, and a failure to modern society''. The report cross-referenced Rodarion and the ACA noting they were very similar in their backward policies, and stating that such ideas died out 60 years ago.

A notable statement in the report over the ACA describes it as such, ''The ACA is an organization of nations who seem to enjoy ignoring valued human rights and national sovereignty, as well as being xenophobic in some cases. If comparing the nations to people, they'd be more of like Rodarion being Religious fanatics, or mentally unstable though replacing the religion with a backward ideology. Symptoms of an old disease that persecutes groups regarding Ideology, are things that are very childish, and rather major failures as it has been proven time and time again in 60 years. These nations in the organization are choosing to deny humans their rights of thought and to rule as they please and take a more aggressive approach of crushing those who disagree, such is characterized by the Nazi's and other xenophobic regimes who rule through fear in claims of ''bettering the world'' ''

For months now the ACA has been trying to increase influence in Pardes, of which many nations have pushed back against the organization, among the nations mentioned, Premislyd was commended by the report for being the ''only smart one'' for leaving the group and Prussia as being ''a nation with a god complex in a second reality.'' Pravengria has been a known for having an Anti-ACA stance and is currently working hard on curving the groups influence in the region. His Majesty is planning on setting up meetings with those of Havenwalde, Tehraan, Emmeria and Belfras in regards of strengthening security and keeping the ACA out of Pardes once and for all.

PRESIDENT OF EMMERIA ASSASSINATED

Image
The late Luis Castilla chatting with the press

By Ekkehard Klausgraber
Published: May 8, 2013

SPLIT, Premislyd — It has been reported by the United Press that Luis Castilla, president of the United Republic of Emmeria, has been shot in the head and killed by an unknown assassin in Split, Premislyd. The president, being heavily involved in the "Pardes Crisis," was making a speech in the Islamic Social Republic regarding the situation across the region, the relationship between Emmeria and Premislyd, the expansion of the Anti-Communism Alliance, and several other topics important to the geopolitical scene in recent months.

The Emmerian Secret Service (an independent group charged solely with protection of the head of state) has yet to identify any potential suspects, and the government has issued no statements regarding the incident or its impact on the governing structure of the United Republic. The United Press reported the Secretary of State, Lana Basara, as being "in tears," and severely mourning the passing of a man that was simply "defending the rights of people across the world."

HIM Kaiser B.E. Steinbach was struck when he heard the news. "I am saddened by the severe loss the United Republic [of Emmeria] has taken," the emperor said, solemnly staring into the crowd of press in front of the Kaiser's imperial residence in Berlin. "The world has indeed lost a noble man. Though our nations may have experienced friction at times, I have always respected President Castilla as a generally competent head of state. I mourn his passing."

However, in contrast to HM the Kaiser's respectful message of consolation, many were relieved or even overjoyed at the news of the assassination. Conservative Party member of the Reichstag Siegwart von Lanz spoke to reporters within an hour after the event, and analysed the possible benefits of Castilla's death. "Though the death of a man is never an entirely happy event, I must say, the passing of President Castilla is not an entirely... bad event for the Empire," he stated, talking to reporters outside the Reichstag. "This may, in fact, reduce the eagerness of many nations to support the Emmerians, Pravengrians, and their ilk in opposing the ACA and its anti-communist mission. I don't know, but it might have some positive effects in the long run."

Foreign Minister Paul von Bismarck has denounced von Lanz's remarks, and adamantly denied that the Reichstag member speaks for the government. "Herr von Lanz is showing an immense amount of hubris and immaturity in his coarse statements," he said, showing a rarely-captured amount of emotion. "His Majesty, Minister Schwarzkopf, and myself, are appalled at his behaviour, and do not share his beliefs in the slightest. We give our greatest condolences to the Castilla family and the Emmerian nation, and wish them the best of luck on the road ahead."

Ekkehard Klausgraber reported from Split, Premislyd.

NEW: Vice President Washington Hayes
inherits the "greatest responsibility of all"

Hayes to continue Castilla's protracted fight
for liberty, says Secretary Basara

CID to initiate investigation; Hayes: "We will
never quit until those responsible
are brought before justice"
Oured, D.A., UNITED REPUBLIC (UP) — Vice President and soon-to-be-acting President Washington Hayes spoke before a crowd in front of the Presidential Palace Wednesday night, discussing the assassination of late U.R. President Luis Castilla during a speech in Split, Premislyd the past evening.

"[Former President] Luis [Castilla] bore a beacon, a torch that he always held up high; one that lit the path for the unshakeable bastion of liberty in this world," Vice President Hayes said. "No words can describe the honor with which I am assuming the greatest responsibility of all, from one of the greatest men to have touched this earth."

He would later add that President Castilla "went down a champion of freedom."

Vice President Hayes declared that the individuals whose hand played a part in Castilla's death would pay.

"We will never quit until those responsible are brought before justice," he announced. "To whomever was involved: yes, we will find you. We will hold you accountable, but, more than that, our fidelity to our way of life, to a free and open society, will only grow stronger — for we have not been given a spirit of fear and timidity but one of power, and love, and self discipline."

Hayes later ended the speech with thunderous applause. "The Emmerian spirit will live on and power through the acts of cowardice that have been forced upon us. We are the ones to have defined the ideals, through time and through struggle, as equality, opportunity, and freedom. We will never permit darkness and hate to triumph over our faith. That cannot happen. And it will not. Emmeria will stand again, brothers and sisters in arms. We will stand together, not as Muslims, or Christians, or Jews; not as whites, or blacks, or browns; but as the one Emmerian family. We will soar past our old pedestal, stand taller than anyone ever has. Because that is the Emmerian way!"

Former President Luis Castilla was assassinated by a gunshot while giving a speech in a square in Split, Premislyd earlier on Wednesday. The shooter used a long-range high-powered sniper rifle and fired from a concealed position that had managed to escape the extensive analysis by the Secret Service days prior to the speech.

The Secret Service and the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) are actively performing an investigation in Premislyd to determine the the suspect. No details have been released by either agency, but the CID is expected to release information regarding a potential suspect in the coming hours.

Meanwhile, Secretary Lana Basara participated in a press conference with reporters following the speech. She was still in tears throughout.

When asked how Vice President Hayes would be handling foreign policy, she said that he would "undoubtedly continue President Castilla's [...] fight for liberty".

UP's Kader Tarek and Donald Voortman contributed to this report.

Castilla Dead, Pravenes Bash ACA and Rodorian
Emmerian President Luis Castilla Shot In Split, and Pravengria Continues Rhetoric
May 8th, 2013, 10:11 PM EST | By Julius Flavius, CNN Journalist

Washington Hayes, the Vice President of the United Republic is confirmed to be the acting head-of-state as of today, said "We will never quit until those responsible are brought before justice. To whomever was involved: yes, we will find you. We will hold you accountable, but, more than that, our fidelity to our way of life, to a free and open society, will only grow stronger — for we have not been given a spirit of fear and timidity but one of power, and love, and self discipline."

Castillian Secretary of State Anabelle Eumaius spoke in a press conference on behalf of the Chancellor, Victoria Mede, who gained power through similar events. Secretary Eumaius said, "I send my condolences to the Emmerian people and to the United Republic. It is truly a sad event when an influential leader such as Castilla is killed. We have been in similar situations, with the deaths of Emperor Titus Valerius I, and Chancellor Isabella Vici..."

Eumaius went on, "...but we can't hesitate to stop what we're doing and just play nice with our adversaries. With Pardes being in the state it is, it is absolutely necessary that we take a firm stance against the new leader, who represents the same policies of Castilla. Nevertheless, I will mourn the death of an honorable man."

Chancellor Mede, who is currently ill with the Common Cold, Tweeted on Eumaius' statements, saying, "Secretary Eumaius got it right. As sad as the death of another human may be, we can't just stop and pretend that Pardes isn't in a state of conflict. I will pray for Emmeria, but I won't back down on the ACA in Pardes. The most the Empire can do is assist with the investigation of the assassination."

It is still unknown who the assailant is, but it is known that there is a massive manhunt in the city of Split, the capital of the Islamic Social Republic.

The shooter used a long-range high-powered sniper rifle and fired from a concealed position that had managed to escape the extensive analysis by the Emmerian Secret Service days prior to the speech. The Emmerian Secret Service and the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) are actively performing an investigation in Premislyd to determine the the suspect.

No details have been released by either agency, but the CID is expected to release information regarding a potential suspect in the coming hours. It is expected by the Securitatem Praefectorum that with the extensive training and investigation techniques of the Emmerian Secret Service, the suspect should apprehended by next week, at the latest.

In other news, Pravengria, whose rhetoric is still spewing, released a forty-five page report on Rodarian and the ACA, two entities it opposes.

In the report, it stated that the ACA was "[the ACA is] an organization of nations who seem to enjoy ignoring valued human rights and national sovereignty, as well as being xenophobic in some cases. If comparing the nations to people, they'd be more of like Rodarion being Religious fanatics, or mentally unstable though replacing the religion with a backward ideology."

It went on to say "Symptoms of an old disease that persecutes groups regarding Ideology, are things that are very childish, and rather major failures as it has been proven time and time again in 60 years.
