Fair enough, the next count should subtract one from each of the bills where my count says it has one more than yours. Nothing personal, sorry, surely you've noticed I can be a touch obsessive and detached

I would like to note the ignorance of our Minister of Foreign Affairs by voting for this act. Though he has stated he would support free trade with Europe and wants to co-operate economically with many nations - including India, Pakistan and Germany among others - he votes for an act that essentially outlaws the enactment of any trade agreement, with no clause exempting those who supposedly have a free trade agreement with Aurentina.

I would like to note the sheer ridiculousness of this statement from the Shadow Minister of Foriegn Affairs. In order for free trade agreements to valuable, there must first be a lack thereof. As a consequence of this bill, new legislation will be introduced for each treaty ratification, this will allow the Senate proper oversight in the working of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is correct, we do wish for free trade with a select number of nations, but we do not want free trade with all nations, hence the NTA, which allows us to be selective in our partners.
Please also note that practically every nation in the world practices selective free trade rather than refusing to create protective tariffs in the name of economic cooperation with everyone. Everyone is not our ally and therefore, everyone will not be allowed to practice free trade.
