Alright. Let's get down to bidness. There are three types of Gods. Natural, Ascended, and Usurper.
Natural Gods are Gods who were/are smart, skilled and or lucky enough not to have their powers stolen or usurped by a mortal. Which happens more than one would think. They are the oldest.
Ascended Gods are mortals who attained a level of power that places them on a level equal with Gods. This can happen in a number of ways. Constant use and exposure to extra-dimensional energies and cosmic forces is a common one. These vary greatly in age.
Usurpers, were typically mortals who received a God's blessing and then eventually took all of their power and status for themselves because the previous one had not done as well a job as the Usurper. Despite what one might believe, Usurpers are not treated different than any other God. Many view it as "The law of the gods" as it heeds to Natural Selection.
You are one of these gods. You are a God of something.
Death. Yes, Gods can die, but not in the mortal sense. Death is more of a minor annoyance at worst. As most of them are conceptual in nature, they cannot be destroyed completely as they represent an idea. If a God should perish, the most common cause of death being at the hands of their brothers and sisters, they will eventually reform.
Powers: Gods all have the same base powers: Reality warping and insane durability. But some also have other powers. Note that Reality warping does not effect other gods as they also possess this ability.

She had decided to live away from both gods and mortals by living in a rundown shrine and pretending to be a spirit that haunted it. Over time memories of the Goddess of Trickery and Swordsmanship were lost and Kettu's greatest trick was complete. Now, Kettu is able to trick as many mortals as she wants using her ability to Transform and uses her Dawn Strike to destroy any mortal who discovered her true identity.

That way out seemingly arrived, one day, in the form of a traveling prophet who claimed to know the will of the gods. Preaching with unrelenting zeal and ever-increasing fervor, he quickly converted the villagers, convincing them that the gods were punishing them for their sins, and that the only way to appease would be to sacrifice their purest maiden at the top of a sacred mountain. Unfortunately for her, this meant Kaguya, who was the village's resident healer, shaman, and priest. He can rename certain objects or individuals that is coated in Black in order to affect their properties.
