The government also runs public education facilities up to and including universities, though private enterprises in this sector are also allowed and even encouraged.

It's basically a mixed of state owned essential industries, private industry, and subsidized co-ops with the goal of abolishing capitalist ownership over the means of production. We have a strong welfare state on local, state, and even the federal level. Some localities are experimenting with more aggressive policies designed to accelerate towards communism, and even some non-government actors are trying to do so.

People call this social democracy rather than socialism as private ownership of land still exists but it's not a traditional liberal capitalist economy anymore since the administrations of Köhler and Bierlein.

The “commanding heights of the economy” along with the majority of large and medium enterprises are operated by the state and account for 68.17 % of the economy. However, the creation of independent worker’s cooperatives, craft unions, farming collectives along with individual self-employment is legal and accounts for 31.83 % of the Federation’s economy. These independent organisations predominantly work in the spheres of agriculture, services, IT, consumer goods and luxury goods. All sectors of the economy widely use Artificial Intelligence for the purpose of economic planning.
