I of course do not believe that there would be any sin involved and I certainly do not want someone to commit the sin of idolatry by being with me when they think it is adultery to be with me for then I would become higher than God in her priority and that would be wickedness.

Personally, I don't like the idea of everyone throwing their sex around, which is apparently what the media portrays the young and flirty to be doing, especially men. "Have you lost your virginity yet, you really need to now, without someone you're in a relationship with."

But meh, whatever people want they should do I guess.

But my personal thing is I have to at least be in a relationship that's been going awhile before I have sex. Waiting until marriage seems a bit silly to me. A friend of mine believes that if you aren't able sexual affections pre marriage, you'll probably have a bad marriage. I believe something along similar lines, but maybe less extreme.

Call me old fashioned, but I like the idea of marriage. I keep hearing stuff about marriage only being a taxation benefit and these other depressing statistics, but I like the idea of saying that I'm married. It wouldn't even have to be legal, just some nice ceremony, feels like you've really graduated to the world of adulthood rather than drifting around.

I actually have a friend in biology who gave a nice analogy of marriage. I was talking about how tunicates have a sucky life. Tunicates, you see, are these primitive chordates which start out life swimming about like miniature tadpoles, but upon reaching maturity they find a nice level place, attach, smash their notochord and nerve cord into their head, and digest both to slowly transform into a feed bag. His response:

"Well, it's like marriage. One second you're swimming around all free, and then you settle in and you're stuck in one place. But you have more security, and you get a lot more food so you can get nice and fat!"

Whether this is a negative or positive assessment is up to the reader. Personally, I see it positive. I happen to like food, thank you very much.

I'm probably not having sex until I marry, unless I somehow manage to get a really hot girlfriend that isn't interested in a long-term relationship (the chances of that are pretty low, at this rate)
My reason? Well, knowing you'll love someone for the rest of your life is a better feeling than knowing you'll love someone for at least a year or two. And raising kids with 2 parents would be a lot easier.
