The 75th Cup Winners' Cup

Final
Played at Estadio Santa Mordana Stadium in Santa Mordana, The Kytler Peninsulae

(PAS) Avidë p 2–2 Myana (CMT) (2–2 aet · 5–3 pen)

Congratulations to Avidë, who rounded up their first run to the final by becoming the fourth Pasargan club to win the Cup Winners' Cup after only being able to separate themselves from Chromatik side Myana in a tense penalty shootout.

Notes for Cup Winners' Cup Entry

  • Each association may enter ONE club into the Cup Winners' Cup, with the exception of Pasarga which may enter one club in addition to Avidë.
  • Should Avidë win their qualifying national association or league cup, the spot held over for a second Pasargan entrant will be vacated.
  • With the exception of Avidë, all entered teams must have won a national association or league cup; super cup winners and winners of play-offs cannot be entered. Cup winners cannot be replaced by other teams, either.
  • Clubs can only qualify through ONE domestic cup competition.
  • Associations with two or more cup competitions must choose which one of their cup competitions will award their Cup Winners' Cup berth to its winner. Play-off matches between cup winners to decide the qualifier will not be accepted.
  • For multiassociational cup competitions, only the cup winner is entitled to enter the Cup Winners' Cup. Associations taking part in such competitions that grant the winner qualification for the Cup Winners' Cup may not qualify clubs through a different cup tournament.
  • Each user may enter clubs from no more than two associations. Puppet nations must be declared upon entry.
  • Entrants must be posted in the International Domestic Soccer NewsWires (i.e. this thread), and at least the last three knockout rounds of the domestic cup tournament (i.e. quarterfinals, semifinals, and final) must have been scorinated and posted (with a link in the IDSN if they are posted elsewhere).
  • The deadline for Cup Winners' Cup entry will expire at the same time as the IFCF one.

Stadium bids for the final of the 76th edition of the Cup Winners' Cup are now being invited. Only stadiums with a minimum capacity of 30,000 people will be eligible to bid for the final, and bids should be posted in this thread with relevant details of the stadium and its facilities.

The 27th IFCF Champions League
Final

San Daros, Paulinthal, Pasarga (cap. 64,000)
(TAX) Deltic FC 2–3 FTC United (ZWZ)

The final of the 27th IFCF Champions League, and the landmark 100th edition of the multiverse’s premier competition across the combined UICA and IFCF eras will take place in Pasarga, and on one side will feature Champions League final debutants Deltic FC of Taxhavn, marking the association’s first appearance on the grand stage in all 100 editions. Deltic FC are no strangers to multiversal finals though, having won the Challengers Cup five seasons prior in an all-Taxhavn final, and now hoping to add Taxhavn’s collection that also includes a Liga B Champions Trophy. Facing them in Pasarga will be another debuting side in one-time Challenger’s Cup champions FTC United, the side from Zwangzug hoping to emulate Namiri Forest and become only the second team from Zwangzug to win the multiverse’s premier club competition in the association’s third appearance at this stage - across international competitions as a whole, Zwangzug have gone 4-2 in all seniors finals, in addition to one win and three losses in the junior category. It’s a match that certainly befits the occasion, five goals being scored as FTC United prevail to win their first Champions League title.

The 27th IFCF Challengers Cup
Final

Grand Strand Stadium, Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach (Cap. 69,000)
(STL) FC Teussen Stelburg 2–2 p Mar Sara FC (VAL) (2–2 FT · 4–5 pen)

Having watched their local rivals 1912 Stelburg reach the Challengers Cup final and lose two seasons ago, it’s the turn of FC Teussen Stelburg to try and win their first ever IFCF title, 23 seasons after they lost their only other senior final appearance against Squornshelan opposition. Indeed, Siovanija and Teusland have only won once in three finals in all senior competitions in the LBCT, with Teussen Stelburg also contributing to one of two Rising Stars losses in their 2-2 RSC record. Across the field in Myrtle Beach are an opponent that needs little introduction, last season’s Champions League runners-up Mar Sara hoping to add to their two Globe Cup titles with a third win in three finals appearances in the secondary competition. They have won a title more recently than the UICA era though, winning the Associations Trophy 10 seasons ago, and Valanora as a whole have won 5 of 9 finals appearances in the Globe/Challengers Cup, but only one appearance and title in the IFCF era. Mar Sara prevail on penalties however to make that two wins, their third title making them the outright second most successful team in this competition’s history/

The 17th IFCF Associations Trophy
Final

Stadia Szbedank, Szbedank, Kanzlia (capacity 53,280)
(TAX) Orchideeën 0–2 Heavenly Princess (BHR)

Orchideeën become the 2nd Taxhavn side to feature in an Associations Trophy final, making their first ever appearance in an IFCF finals and hoping to do one better than Standard Lily who lost the tenth edition when Taxhavn first appeared in a multiversal club final. Facing them in Kanzlia will be Heavenly Princess of Bohr, with both the team and the association as a whole appearing for the first time in any IFCF or UICA final. Plenty of opportunity for a new winner to be made but the final goes the way of Bohr who win the Associations Trophy, their first ever IFCF title.

Image

The 27th IFCF Liga B Champions Trophy
Final

Star Field, Herzegovina City, Moravica, Banija (Cap. 68,000)
(INS) FC Panausar 0–3 Tor (CMT)

Two very different legacies clash in this season’s Liga B final, with Indusse becoming the newest association to reach an IFCF final through FC Panausar. At the other end of the pitch is the now-traditional Chromatik representative in the IFCF finals, and despite a poor cycle for them across the other competitions, Tor hoping to emulate the multiple sides that have come before them and hoping to win Chromatika’s fifth LBCT final in the association’s 9th appearance in the LBCT final - as a reminder, the count currently stands at Chromatika having won 11 of their 27 IFCF finals appearances in all competitions. The final ends up being one-sided through, and Tor’s win lets Chromatika tie Pasarga for LBCT titles (although Pasarga remain clear across the combined SBCC/LBCT era with 8 titles).

The 27th Rising Stars Cup
Final

Star Field, Herzegovina City, Moravica, Banija (Cap. 68,000)
(PAS) Tanrısal p 1–1 Brham United U-19 (DAR) (4–3 pen)

And last but not least comes the Rising Stars Cup, with Pasarga featuring in their fifth final as Tanrisal’s kids make their first Rising Stars appearance, hoping to continue the association’s perfect streak of wins in this final, most recently five seasons ago. Tanrisal themselves will be hoping to finally grab their first ever UICA/IFCF silverware, the senior team having lost both the Globe Cup and Associations Trophy finals in different generations. Brham United arrive in the Rising Stars final to complete the all-Rushmori tie, the Darmen side have never reached any junior or senior final in their history, whilst Darmen have previously won one Rising Stars Cup and lost one Youth Cup each as an association, along with one win and two losses in the Globe/Challengers Cup as well. It’s another tie that goes to penalties, and Tanrisal prevail to become the fourth different Pasargan side to win this competition.

Updated coefficients are available.

The entry limits for the next season of IFCF competition will be as follows:

28th Champions League: The number of teams allowed is determined according to the association coëfficient ranking, with the following distribution:
  • Associations ranked 1–4 (Chromatika, Eastfield Lodge, Valanora, and Auprussia) are allowed to enter four teams.
  • Associations ranked 5–8 (Pasarga, Taxhavn, Siovanija and Teusland, and Banija) are allowed to enter three teams.
  • Associations ranked 9–32 (Farfadillis, Zwangzug, The Kytler Peninsulae, Kelssek, Darmen, Saint Eleanor, Squornshelan Remnant States, Ko-oren, Calgasia, Quebec and Shingoryeo, Paradystopia, Hanalia, Tikariot, Flavovespia, Katzeburg, Drawkland, Solgavden, Kanzlia, Indusse, Abanhfleft, Zenic, Pyazhnaya, Al-Tamazgha, and Valladares) are allowed to enter two teams.
  • Associations ranked 33 and below, and unranked associations, are allowed to enter one team.
Special considerations:
  • FTC United (ZWZ) and Mar Sara FC (VAL) are assured places in the Champions League group stage. If either fails to qualify through their domestic league, their association will receive an additional place. If either titleholder qualifies for the Challengers Cup, their Challengers Cup place will be vacated.
  • Shango-Fogoa Premier League: Has five places. Banija must enter at least two teams and Farfadillis must enter at least one.
  • The Outbox League: Has three places. Drawkland and Dhemixia must enter at least one team each.
  • All other multi-association leagues: Have two places, which must be filled by their two primary associations.

28th Challengers Cup: Every association is allowed to enter three teams. Multiassociational leagues with two primary associations may enter six teams, of which no more than four may be from the same association; associations ranked 1–4 must enter at least two teams each, and associations ranked 5–12 must enter at least one team each.
  • Heavenly Princess (BHR) may be assured a place in the Challengers Cup group stage. If they fail to qualify through their domestic league, their association will receive an additional place. If they qualify for the Champions League group stage through domestic competition, their place in the Challengers Cup is vacated. If they qualify for the qualifying rounds of the Champions League through domestic competition, the club may choose to vacate its place in the Challengers Cup to do so. This choice must be clearly noted in the entry form, or by default the club will enter the Challengers Cup group stage.

28th Liga B Champions Trophy: Every association is allowed to enter three teams. Multiassociational leagues with two primary associations may enter six teams, of which no more than four may be from the same association.

28th Rising Stars Cup: Every association is allowed to enter one team. The youth teams of clubs which reach the Champions League group stage be entered automatically. Multiassociational youth leagues with two primary associations may enter two teams, which must be from different associations.
  • Tanrısal (PAS) is assured a place in the Rising Stars Cup. If it does not qualify as champion of its domestic youth league, Pasarga will receive an additional place in the youth champions path. If its senior team qualifies for the Champions League group stage, it will enter the Champions League path instead.

Additional notes:
  • The provisional deadline for the 28th cycle is 2nd August 2026.

A final reminder also that all Rushmori nations only (including any and all puppets) will be able to submit their league champions only (or top ranked team in the event of multi-associational leagues of more than one Rushmori nation) for entry into the next CdC; this includes puppet leagues that don't submit to IFCF. The submission period opened when the IFCF closed entries to the last IFCF tournaments, and will close again when the IFCF closes entries to the next IFCF tournaments. No invitations will be sent. You must indicate at the bottom of your league summary that you wish your league and cup champions to take part, and I take no responsibility for missing it if you've only shown it in your table.

Keep your entries coming in for the next edition!

After a slew of upsets in the early rounds, it would be the champions from both Banija as well as Quebec who meet in Raynor City to be crowned regional champions. Though a close contest, the neighbors of the Empire in Banija would see their club lift the trophy at the end of the night.

Entries into the next Hui Lā are now open and close when the IFCF deadline is posted. Entries must be the champions of an association and second entries must be the champions of the association's cup, or the highest placed club from the association in a multi-association league. If there is no cup or the league champion does the double, then the second entry should be allocated to second place in the league. All primary associations in Arrosia are entitled to two entries, besides Banija, who shall be granted a third entry if Herzegovina City FC does not qualify through league or cup performance.

Finals
Held at Aditya Varma Kulashekara International Stadium (cap. 131,560), New Hind City, Indusse.

As this edition of League of Victors saw a bunch of upsets and surprising advancements, everyone wanted to know if there is going to be a new winner. Taxhavn clubs have always had their best runs in League of Victors and in this edition, three of their clubs went in till the quarterfinals. Meanwhile Auprussia is another association that could be known as the Giants of FFI. Septentriennes is back in their consecutive League of Victors final hoping to keep the championship with them. Will Eolorent be enough to take it away?

(TAX) Septentriennes 3–1 Eolorent (AUP)

Finals
Held at IFA National Academy Stadium (capacity 45,000), New Hind City, Indusse.

As the finals of the Confederations Trophy is back at Indusse after three consecutive finals at Calgasia, history was so close to repetition. Auprussia has their club in the finals once again, hoping to register their second Confederations Trophy victory after six seasons. Meanwhile, for the first time in history Solgavden has a representation in FFI Finals. Would Auprussia continue their dominance in FFI or is Solgavden going to be the David to the Goliath?

(SGD) Olympisk Kolvereid 0–1 Ostissiennes (AUP)

The crown jewel of Vanorian stadiums, she is as modern as she is majestic and has hosted numerous Finals of various international and club competitions in addition to being the home of Raynor City United, the most successful club in the nation. Often renovated to keep up with modern amenities and the comforts of more modern stadiums across the sport, her slightly smaller size helps the feel of an immense atmosphere that is quite raucous for the home team.

Cup Winners' Cup: Angelotic Temple, Longview (capacity 71,000)
One of the most beautiful stadiums in all of the Empire, the Angelotic Temple is located in Longview at the northern edge of the Spine of Arrosia mountain chain. With the city built along the slope of the mountain, the stadium has panoramic views of the valleys that surround the mountain and all the amazing flora and fauna that can be found. Additionally there is an actual temple attached to the stadium, part of a religion that is so long out of favor that no one remembers what the temple was dedicated to, yet the stonework of the statues within are beautiful to behold. Perhaps it is the scenery, perhaps it is the remains of the temple, but visitors to the stadium often say they feel peaceful and content and that a visit is almost spiritual in nature.

Big news have shaken up the world of domestic Aphrilian football as of very recently. And in my eyes, rightfully so, due to the sheer shock of it all.

Twelve new clubs have been given the greenlight to enter the professional half of the Aphrilian football pyramid. Though not all of these clubs originated from the semi-professional half of the pyramid, as a few of them were formed directly to be professional clubs. Four in total fit this category: Valechester Guards FC, Nachjagd Apricot, Olympique Talonia, and Quillstoke AFC. The remainder were clubs willing to transform themselves into full-time professional organizations from the National League 1 and the National League 2.

Not only that, many clubs have also chosen to rebrand or rename themselves, perhaps to better stand out as a club hailing from Aphrilia. Firewatch ASC renamed themselves Firewatch Victory, and Rosmontis Hills City dropped one part of their name to become Rosmontis Hills. Some do it out of obligation, such as Myrtle SC and Murdock SC, as both clubs have chosen to add the name of their district due to a fan accidentally buying tickets for one club's game when he was planning to go to the other. Thus, Myrtle-Texmore SC and Murdock-Brennan SC are born. Some renames occurred due to wanting a better name. Cheval Union and AC Trosspine flipped themselves to become Union Cheval and Trosspine AC, while Chapelstove Docks FC completely changed to become Port Club Chapelstove. Electra District AFC followed suite, becoming Excel Electra AFC. City Indianapolis FC wished to add representation of the city by becoming the Indianapolis Falcons as it's part of the city emblem. Khoi Dau Flames chose to rename for representation as well, going fully Vie to become Khoi Dau Lửa alongside fellow Vie-named club Hue Nhon Sốc, who are one of the new twelve clubs to become professional.

That is all well and good, one can say. How were the new clubs integrated into the pyramid? This was around the same time the National Aphrilian Football Association wished to expand the Premiership, Championship, and Standardship from twelve teams each. So despite it being a controversial choice, they stuck with it. The two best clubs in the standings that were not promoted (Villanova Galactic and Pallas City Saints) would be promoted alongside Rosmontis Hills and Billingham CFC. For the Championship, the six best clubs in the Standardship standings that were not promoted (Excel Electra AFC, Luther United FC, Higher Hearths AFC, Stormrock Shore FC, Murdock-Brennan SC, and Port Club Chapelstove would be promoted alongside Sportverein Brandent and CF Alegria. All twelve new clubs alongside the bottom four Standardship clubs (Clouding SSC, Union Cheval, Briar Glenn CFC, and Khoi Dau Lửa) would form the new sixteen team Standardship, leaving all three leagues with sixteen clubs.

With the professional pyramid expanding to forty eight clubs in total, the Camberville Cup has also been adjusted to ensure a fairer format, as there were complaints that a group winner not going through because they held the least amount of points or goal differential was too harsh. The new format revealed by NAFA would turn out to be eight groups of six in a single round robin, the top two from each group entering the knockout rounds to form a Round of Sixteen, expanding from the previous Camberville Cups where the knockout rounds started from the Quarterfinals. And as per Aphrilian tradition, all the groups will be drawn randomly without pots, though from what is known, this could change in the future if there are enough calls for it to be changed. But for now, Aphrilian clubs must deal with the mercy of the draw in the brutal group stage.

With not much else having been changed, here is the cheers to another beautiful season of Aphrilian club football.

How does one sense the changes that occur throughout the development of a country's football league? Not everyone knows the answer, or maybe there isn't a right one.

Some changes have occurred within the Athearan Primärliga. A select few clubs have chosen to rename themselves to represent a more "Athearan" identity, though this ultimately isn't too big of a change in the grand scheme of things. But there are changes that would count as such. With the Reclamation Project in progress, we should except a new club or two soon within the league. Project Revival has been doing fine, but to ensure more player development, there should be more than just these ten clubs.

In other news, recent developments have shown that some clubs are leaning towards different styles of play. What some have considered to be the new "Tre Bastioner" or Three Bastions of Athearan football in Union Hecate, Celestic Orphinia, and Everitz SC all have different tactical styles that are not completely right or wrong even if Athearan football is usually defensive in nature. Celestic Orphinia are a very defensive team, whilst Everitz SC have transformed themselves in the off-season to be the opposite.

Union Hecate is somewhere in the middle, though they are still more defensive in nature. But amongst the Three Bastions, they are certainly the most neutral of the three in regards to their tactical set-up. Other clubs seem to be following in the footsteps of the three in terms of their tactical development, which can be a good or a bad thing.

It would allow the training of players that can fit into a variety of systems but at the same time, it could make the quality of football within The Second Republic raher stale if weaker clubs continue to follow the Three Bastions and not create anything of their own. But that would be a problem to be solved when it rears its head in the future, and not presently.

So the second domestic season of Athearan football under Project Revival starts.

CAFA LigAnaia: Azura Memorial Stadium, Orphinia (Capacity: 52.600)

Whilst the plans to make a bid in order to host a finals would be to propose the home ground of Union Hecate in Das Diadem (Also known as The Coronet) after they clinched the Primärliga title, inspection found that some aspects of the stadium were in rather poor condition. So instead, they sought out the home ground of runners-up Celestic Orphinia, which also serves as the home ground for the Athearan National Team. Azura Memorial Stadium is located within what is known as "The Floating City" of Orphinia, the capital for The Second Republic, which is also where the club gets its name from. The stadium gets its name from Rally Point Azura, one of the many rendezvous points that existed in order to evacuate Athearan citizens from The Catastrophe that would ultimately cause the demise of The First Republic.

Azura Memorial itself is a stadium well equipped with the necessities required to host big games. Not only does it have the most up-to-date facilities for any stadium within The Second Republic (Something that the FFA aims to fix assuredly), it is also easily accessible in regards to transportation. Football, being the most popular sport within the country combined with the massive size of The Floating City, means that Orphinia itself has many different teams that reside within different districts. This includes the other two bastions in Union Hecate and Everitz SC. However, the various rivalries can be set aside for the sake of the city potentially playing host to such a massive game. Azura Memorial Stadium while modern in its infrastructure, does have the appearance of a more rugged and traditional stadium from a past era.

A total of 2 bids were lodged to host the Copa del Ganso 5 final. The Federation of the Single Sun has awarded the right to host the final to Carva Dock Arena in Kytler Bay City. As the venue for the final is located in the Pavolan and Terranean Zone, its representative — Becis City — has been designated the home team for administrative purposes. That said, the final is a neutral-site fixture and does not otherwise confer a home advantage.

Entries for Copa del Ganso 6 are now open. Associations in Rushmore may nominate their two best clubs which do not qualify for CRF Copa de Campeones 74. Bids to host the Copa del Ganso 6 final are also open. Bid books should include the proposed final stadium's name, capacity, city, and nation, as well as any other information the host bid committee would like to include. Full competition regulations can be found here, but please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Thank you all for participating — see you again next cycle!

Ko-oren (KOR) final site bids
IFCF Challengers Cup: Willowbowl, Ilohbonu (capacity 55000)
You might associate the Willowbowl with gridiron, but don't be fooled: it's also the home venue of Cresthill United FC, the team that finally claimed glory last season by winning the title, and in the last half-decade or so the Willowbowl has also become a prime footballing destination. Located close to Ilohbonu International Airport - Ko-oren's main airport - and near the giant city of Ilohbonu, there's logistics, sponsor boxes, hotel rooms, and, let's not forget, a pretty darn good surface to play on as well.

CAFA LigAnaia: Suzumebachi Stadium, Katahshi (capacity 32700)
Katahshi is Ko-oren's number one sporting destination (if you ask Katahshians) and they've got one of Ko-oren's best arenas to boot. There's rugby league, baseball, maybe gridiron soon?, and multiple great football clubs (in fact, it's the only city with more than two teams with Top League experience: they have 5!). The Suzumebachi has hosted a number of IFCF matches, international games across multiple sports.

Zenic (ZEN) Final Site Bid

CRF Copa de Campeones: Philosophia Colosseum, Manacus (Capacity: 106,255 for National Team (and for CdC Final) / 53,128 for Club)

The marvel of Zenician stadium engineering, the Colosseum plays host to both the Zenic National Futbol Team and the Manacus Young Men club of the Campeonato Zenician. The FZF and Ministry of Sports continue their immediate goal of getting the CRF Copa de Campeones Final in Manacus as they believe the Philosophia Colosseum is ready for the challenge.

Manacus itself lies on the Manacan Peninsula, the widest peninsula in the Empire and located on the Western border. It is partially separated from most of the Empire by the Sierra Divisor, the mountain range that starts near Binar in the South and travels almost all the way to San Valerie in the North. Thus, Manacus has developed a bit of a unique subculture compared to the rest of the Empire and only matched in its uniqueness by those that live on or near the Sierra Divisor itself. It is hot and humid for most of the year, only really becoming 'sweater weather' in the deep winter (compared to the other peninsulas that experience colder winters for longer periods of time) and even then it's closer to what other cities would wear in autumn or early spring. So, only those who work in offices or public services are seen wearing long sleeves of any sort on most days. Conditions like these mean Zenicians are always ready and eager for some futbol in Manacus, one of the main contributing factors for it becoming the host city for the national team.

FSS Copa del Ganso: Defiant Grounds, Copundas (Capacity: 61,798)

Sporting Honneur ply their trade at Defiant Grounds in Copundas. Modelled after old-school ‘open-air’ stadiums from the amateur years but with all the modern day amenities one desires to make the futbol experience all the more pleasant, Defiant Grounds sits near the banks of the Zeno River in the heart of the Empire’s current territory. Those on the west side of the stadium have standing room to watch the match, stretch their legs, easy access to concessions, and receive a nice breeze in the summer months. Meanwhile, the other three cardinal directions feature surprisingly comfortable hard plastic seats that feel nicer thanks to slight contort that fits most bodies. There are truly very few angles from which one cannot get a complete view of the action on the pitch.

Copundas, the city where Sporting Honneur and Defiant Grounds call home, exists on either side of the Zeno River right near the center of the Empire’s current territory with several tunnels running underneath the river to connect the two halves. Defiant Grounds specifically sits near the Eastern banks. Copundas is home to the best grilling and barbecuing in the Empire as, while they do receive a nice variety of ingredients thanks to trade via the Zeno River, they didn’t have an abundant supply of various cooking tools until they made a permanent deal with the city of Reichton for coal and steel which lead to a rise in grilling and barbecuing after discovering how to create grills and barbecues from a foreign trader. While not the largest city, Copundas is a breath of fresh air in a world full of concrete that certainly could host such an event as the Copa del Ganso Final with honor.
