After over three months without an occupation, the last crushing defeat being on June 13th, Raider Unity has reared its ugly head once again in Liberty Islands - reintegrating the dogs of Lone Wolves United (starved for any sort of win) into their clique as part of their attempt to regain momentum.

When we said that proxies of The Brotherhood of Malice would continue receiving sanctions and military opposition, we meant business. Contributing 55 individuals to the single-update victory, we have once again defeated Raider Unity. The jump itself was recordbreaking and included MGC figures involved in various aspects of operation leadership - be it in outreach or defeating the raiders’ update bending attempt.

Raiders had every conceivable advantage here. The target was extremely late into update. It was a Monday night. They held the delegacy through their infiltrator for five full days before piling, entitling them to five border control officers on the first liberation attempt. They used update bending with a region only two before the target.

Not enough.

As we’ve stressed before, they aren’t innovative. Their regions are not real communities, resulting in their piler numbers being lethargic, slow to arrive and not nearly enough to prevent an instant-liberation. Our counter-bending efforts allowed 169 jumpers to move into the region, securing the delegacy by a margin of 44.

Expansion of MGC Sanctions to Directly Include Osiris

The Modern Gameplay Compact would like to announce changes to our sanctions targeting those who have engaged in aggression against our member regions.

Since the 2024 invasion of Europe, the sanctions have directly targeted The Black Hawks, Sparkalia, and The Communist Bloc. These sanctions additionally extended to the allies of these regions, and those which support their transgressions.

We are now expanding the core group of those targeted by the sanctions to include the Osiris Fraternal Order. It is essential to take this step, as in a post-BoM world, Osiris is likely to be one of the key avenues for these groups to re-normalize themselves.

Osiris has engaged in consistent aggression towards Modern Gameplay Compact member regions, both institutionally and through prominent members, as outlined below:

• The incumbent regime in Osiris was established by the Brotherhood of Malice in 2013. More pertinently, Ambroscus Koth/Valtarre is a recognized co-founder of the regime and a prominent community figure. He presided over much of the aggression against MGC regions, including ordering and overseeing Operation Ragnarok, discussed next.
• In 2022, Malice commissioned Operation Ragnarok with the aim of overthrowing the current government in Balder. The primary agent chosen for the infiltration was the player now known as Ghazia, who served as Chief Vizier of Osiris until recent months alongside her other roles in Raider Unity circles (including, in 2024, operating a sleeper aimed at advancing an invasion of The Wellspring, an ally of The North Pacific). Osiris as an institution refused to disavow the operation, and has endorsed and ratified it through their subsequent conduct and elevations.
• In February 2024, Europe was targeted by a sleeper operation which caused significant destruction to the region’s population. The region was primarily targeted due to its association with The North Pacific, Europeia, and Balder. The invasion lead was the player Wascoitan, a long-time member of Osiris and previous Moshir (principal officer) of its military. The Black Hawks announced and justified the operation, and Osiris maintains a treaty relationship with the organization in question.
• In March 2024, Concord, a constituent region of an MGC party, was the subject of a delegate-tipping operation. The military of Osiris was an explicit participant in this initiative.
• Since the re-establishment of Malice in 2022 and throughout the consistent hostility of Raider Unity towards our members, Osiris has provided military support to their general occupations and operations targeted at our partners.

The Osiris Fraternal Order has been a consistent supporter at best, and more frequently, a party to the misdeeds of organizations such as The Black Hawks and The Brotherhood of Malice. They deserve a place on this list, one that is arguably overdue. Subsequently, any allies or supporters of Osiris not already named by these sanctions are henceforth sanctioned by proxy, which can be undone by severing the relevant relationship with Osiris. The full text of the updated sanctions can be found below.

The following regions/organizations are hereby sanctioned: The Brotherhood of Malice, The Black Hawks, The Communist Bloc, Sparkalia, Osiris, and all regions which:
i. Constitute their territories or possessions;
ii. Are operated by their members and contribute to their military or support their cause;
iii. Have a treaty with them;
iv. Constitute the territories or possessions of regions mentioned in items ii or iii.

Members of the sanctioned regions/organizations are prohibited from:
a. participating in any events hosted by the signatory regions/organizations;
b. being members of coalitions, factions, etc. led by the signatory regions/organizations in NS events;
c. being included in/platformed by media or promotional events/endeavors produced by the signatory regions/organizations;
d. serving in a leading/command role in joint military operations hosted by the signatory regions/organizations, with the exception of defensive operations (such as liberations and detags) organized by multilateral organizations

The signatory regions/organizations are prohibited from:
a. participating in any events hosted by members of the sanctioned regions/organizations or in any events hosted by regions/organizations in which members of the sanctioned region/organizations participate;
b. participating in coalitions/factions/etc led by members of the sanctioned regions/organizations or in which members of the sanctioned regions/organizations participate;
c. participating in any media or promotional events/endeavors produced by members of the sanctioned regions/organizations or in which members of the sanctioned regions/organizations are included/platformed;
d. participating in military operations hosted/led by members of the sanctioned regions/organizations, provided those operations are not exclusively anti-fascist in nature, or are defensive operations (such as liberations and detags) organized by multilateral organizations

The signatory regions/organizations will:
a. oppose and vote against World Assembly resolutions authored or co-authored by members of the sanctioned regions/organizations;
b. support and vote for resolutions repealing resolutions authored or co-authored by members of the sanctioned regions/organizations;
c. oppose and vote against World Assembly resolutions nominating members of the sanctioned regions/organizations for commendation/condemnation;
d. support and vote for resolutions repealing resolutions nominating members of the sanctioned regions/organizations for commendation/condemnation;
e. support and vote for resolutions liberating regions occupied by members of the sanctioned regions/organizations

Admission of the Plains of Perdition and the Outback

We are happy to, alongside the unveiling of an MGC emblem created by Gagium, announce two new entrants to the Modern Gameplay Compact.

The Modern Gameplay Compact is excited to announce that the Plains of Perdition and the Outback have ratified the treaty, and been unanimously approved entry by all incumbent MGC parties.

Created just under one year ago, these two Sinkers have rapidly become world powers in Gameplay. Despite being dismissed as side projects or lacking native communities, both have grown to have developed foreign affairs networks and militaries. The Radiant Inquisition and the Bushrangers have been consistent contributors to anti-Raider Unity operations, independent offenses, and politically both Sinkers have enforced the sanctions for some time.

When the Outback was the subject of an attempted regime change in February and later an indignant attempt to justify the attempt in April, the parties to the MGC opposed these efforts and the dishonesty on which they were premised. In the time since, the Outback has prospered and the MGC is happy to welcome both Sister Sinkers into the alliance as proper members.
