The Modern Gameplay Compact will finally be a Compact for Modern Gameplayers

FRONTLINE REPORT | The Frontier Lonia Kreptia Llor was seized by forces from the New Pacific Order, Lone Wolves United, and Carcassonne, who rapidly piled the region to 147 endorsements - the vast majority of with had come from the NPO and LWU. Liberating forces mobilized, but after three updates were short of liberating the region.

For the fourth and final update, forces were amassed far and wide. MGC regions contributed ninety-four individuals to the total liberating force, in addition to extensive outreach efforts. The raid was a clear effort for certain parties to stand in defiance to their consequences for the situation in the Outback last month, and the world has sent a clear message: no. As 220 liberators poured into the region, this occupation and its sectarian, bitter motivations were rejected.

The Modern Gameplay Compact remains one of the foremost political blocs and military coalitions in the world - no amount of denial, snark, or cope will be changing that anytime soon.

DYSTOPIAN UTOPIA LIBERATED

MGC forces help free occupied region within 12 hours in the largest one-update jump in NationStates history!

FRONTLINE REPORT: In a major victory on the major update of the 21st of May, a liberating coalition of 166 units jumped into the region of Dystopian Utopia, freeing the region from a raider pile more than 100 strong. With 137 verified endorsements on the point liberator, Tim-Opolis, this represents the largest one-update jump in NationStates history.

Dystopian Utopia, like many regions targeted by The Black Hawks and their acolytes, had done nothing to deserve this invasion. This was not a wasteland–rather, it was an innocent community of more than 300 nations that was selected as another target for the arbitrary antagonism of Raider Unity forces. With this battle, the NationStates world has sent an unequivocal signal against the aggression that we are used to seeing from the likes of TBH and their associates such as the Brotherhood of Malice.

This record-breaking liberation is a great day for freedom, not just for the natives of Dystopian Utopia, but for all nations which have been the victims of raider aggression and coercion.

FEDERATION OF SOVEREIGN STATES LIBERATED

100 SOLDIERS FROM MGC MILITARIES CONTRIBUTED TO 172+ ENDORSEMENT LIBERATION!

FRONTLINE REPORT | Not that long ago we wrote of the liberation of Lonia Kreptia Llor, a recordbreaking 200+ endorsement liberation where the MGC provided 94 troops across the four update siege. Now, we have exceeded that turnout with 100 troops in only two updates.

Even more recently, Dystopian Utopia was liberated from a Black Hawk-led Raider Unity hold with recordbreaking numbers. Raider Unity, bitter at this loss has in quick succession attempted another operation. Once again preying on an unknowing community via a sleeper, they piled to over 120 endorsements in the first update, surviving the oncoming siege of defender and Independent forces.

However, between major and minor as natives withdrew their endorsements and raider efforts appeared to stall, our coalition continued organizing and delivered a second consecutive 100+ person jump, returning native Delegate Zstantvia to the role with 172 verified endorsements to the invaders' 130.

Sparkalia, a proxy of the Brotherhood of Malice which is directly sanctioned for its invasion of Europe and continued hostility to our regions, was responsible for leading this humiliating defeat. Hopefully they remember it.

I'll ask this again in April 2026, but can we please get a substantiative, non-one-liner explanation for why the MGC is continuing to enforce sanctions on an inactive organisation whose leaders have retired? The Modern Gameplay Compact exists to take account of modern threats in gameplay, not to harbour legacy grudges.

Also, Malice has said that "we'll be in touch about absolving [their treaty partners] of your obligations to us however it best suits you." Will regions only sanctioned due to their treaties with Malice (i.e. not TBH, SPK, TCB, and their allies) be unsanctioned upon the dissolution of those treaties, or are the sanctions for all time against all actors?
