TITO help usually just gets marked as a '+tito' or similar in reports like this; is the lack of specifics because they don't feel like passing on their participant lists for whatever reason, or do they not actively keep track themselves?

From my understanding it’s due to TITO wanting to never disclose their numbers. I think libcord would have it tracked internally, but offsite things where us darkspawn can read means no hard numbers

TITO keeps track of their own numbers, but as they conduct their operations on their own server, any list Libcord could provide would not be complete (only their commanders participate on Libcord's end).

Defenders ran 11 attrition sieges in Equestria. Hardly a small task, especially during the week. While I can't speak for other organizations as I don't record their numbers, the LDF fielded 39 unique individuals, many of whom jumped many times (143 LDF .here's).

The Philosophy Zone was a setback/L, sure, but in my defense, uh, "we were tired". In all seriousness, let's not pretend we haven't been throwing our punches however we can - "a few ops" my ass.

International coalition crushes the raider menace!

36 LDF MEMBERS SIEGE NEW WESTPHALIA, CRUSHING PREVIOUS RECORD IN A FRACTION OF THE UPDATES!

PART ONE | PART TWO

Twenty-four hours ago the defender faction and its allies launched the first siege of New Westphalia in coordination with native forces having armed themselves to retake their region. 16 LDF members attended the first strike with established a small beachhead, leading to defender leadership coordinating the proposal of a Security Council liberation as extra insurance. This morning, the LDF set an attendance record for a single update with 21 attendeers, aiding in a broader effort to grow our beachead. This minor update featured a fantastic tactical decision by Libcord command to force a WA Delegacy switch in New Westphalia, aiding our efforts going forward.

Early tactical successes lead to total victory!

This major update in coordination with native Westphalians, a 75-endorsement strong force amassaed in Artificial Solar System in addition to the nations already behind the lines of New Westphalia. Storming into the region, the raiders were forced out of power in the region and native rule was restored. 24 LDF members participated in this final push, crushing our record from minor update and bringing out total unique member involvement for this operation to 41.

Free City of Rigia seized the position of New Westphalia WA Delegate from Haniwa Army Corps 01.

The addition of a multitude of small regions for the final siege, including but not limited to Saint Osmund, Africa, and Sparkalia and more contributed immensely to our success this final update. Many more mercenaries and small groups answered the call, and the spirit throughout #liberation tonight was truly inspiring. This is just as much the victory of the smallest region and the lone mercenacy as it is for the day to day regions in defending.

2022 was a long year for many of us. When fair weather gameplayers swayed and burnout struck, The League endured. Through hard times and losses, we put our best feet forward. We sent 29 liberators to A Liberal Haven, 25 to EmbassyRegionia, we razed Concord and rebuilt stronger it in our image, signed landmark treaties, sent 39 updaters across the long sieges in Equestria, and bided our time in building skill and preparation. For us, and for many other regions, this is the fruits of our labor, our success here shows the resilence and determination of the defender faction, our allies, Westphalian natives, and many more people of NationStates.

I am elated that TGU’s first participation in a liberation ended in defenderdom’s first outright victory since China in November 2021! Raziel (The Castle of Dark Illusions), better known to most of the NationStates community as One Small Island, has been promoted to Colonel of the LDF effective immediately. Having joined the LDF in March 2022, Raziel has proven to be an effective and capable updater. One of the first members of the LDF to complete Lieutenant training following the introduction of that rank, they have over time stepped up as a strong defender leader in critical operations with triggering, outreach, and coordination, earning their way to Libcord's Junior Command.

Their leadership was pivotal to the LDF turnout and overall defender victory in New Westphalia, notably at the minor update siege when they filled a strong role for outreach to Leaguers and Concordians. Having been an officer in our military for more than 6 months with tactful leadership and skillful updating, they've well earned the title of Colonel.

As it becomes clearer that The League's Defense Forces has reached a level of experience and strength be a defender power, it is necessary to recognize and staff our officer corps properly to encourage the continuation of growth. We have several reforms and initiatives being discussed behind the scenes that we look forward to the development of, and Raziel's heightened experience and rank will undoubedly aid those efforts.

Spuds saved by one-update coalition of 70+ defenders, 23 LDF!

Last night The Potato Union was besieged by the malevolent forces of raiderdom and their allies, pluging the region into spud-less darkness and risking wide-scale rot in the potato fields! As a proud member of The Potato Alliance, The League & Concord could not stand idly by in the face of this injustice. Despite the horrors of minor update compared to its vastly superior counter-part, the alarms were sounded and the minutemen of the Republic mobilized.

No matter how many minor updates you do, it never gets easier.

Storming the region late into minor update, the defender coalition effortlessly forced Update Commander [RRA] Ravania into the WA Delegate position of The Potato Union, ending the short-lived occupation in less than 12 hours. We had a grand old time in #liberation today, and despite the chatter maintained a strong cross. Haters will say it doesn't matter because it was a small hold, but we threw some serious punches for a Thursday minor. Until next time!
