Is there a healthy breakfast I could try? My weight issues are getting a little out of hand and I need a good replacement for a McGriddle with iced coffee.

Well, I don't eat breakfast much, but yogurt with fruit is good. It's all my dad ate for breakfast for years to be more healthy.

Parfaits are so good. Shame I don't eat more of them. The only problem is that I end up just eating the fruit part and have too much left over yogurt.

Oatmeal or cream of wheat with fruit is also good, if you want something hot with fiber.

gonna try intermittent fasting and cutting down on carbs to get back into losing weight. got down to 250 from 290 but i've been plateauing and even gaining a bit recently.

Maybe try more oil? Or firmer tofu? I'm not an expert in agedashi specifically, but I feel like those are good general tips.

I guess I should try non-silken. I've been using medium silken. I was trying to make in an air fryer maybe that's the problem! Thanks!

Yeah, silken tofu tastes better imo, but it's much more likely to fall apart Good luck though!

I also am doing the same thing. One thing I did was switch from wheat bread to rye bread.

I've currently got down to 210 from 240.

Plantain chips are better than potato chips tbh. They’re still starch, oil, and salt, but they’re crunchier and don’t taste like they’re really bad for your health.

And as others have suggested practice with firm tofu first.

I don't know how to make agedashi tofu, but fried tofu is REALLY easy to make. Just put cubed firm tofu in an air fryer at 400 F for 10-15 minutes and serve with Thai sweet chili sauce, or whatever.

Went to Chicago last summer, tried Chicago-style pizza from two restaurants, both were mid and walking back to the hotel room after eating it was not a pleasant experience. I’ve never been anywhere near the Smelly City, but even Midwestern NY-style pizza is better by a long shot. In terms of dialects of the American language, I would have to call it English, because it is deeply incorrect yet unfortunately well-liked.

Chicago-style is thick. Like thick thick. Also they sometimes put the sauce over the cheese I think

What's the difference?

Chicago style is "deep dish" or "deep crust" (i.e. they take calling pizza a "pie" literally), has sausage put right on the crust, puts the cheese on top of the sausage, puts the sauce on top of the cheese, and (depending on where you get it) sometimes has sliced tomatoes on top.

New York style is basically normal crust pizza but "yuge" (correct me if I'm wrong Ive only been to New York a few times and that was driving through to New England).
