Deadly Winter Storms Expected Over Next Few Days

A powerful winter stormfront is expected to touch down in southern Amador near the major city of Olyfethemar, the nation's ninth largest city. Blizzard conditions will be prevalent, with an expected snowfall well over sixteen inches. Road conditions are expected to be life threatening even with treatment. Kas Morethal Prefecture, whereupon Olyfethemar resides, has declared a state of emergency, opening up federal and local funds towards fighting the impending blizzard. With the brunt of the blizzard just days away, cold fronts have iced over much of the area. Freezing rain and sleet have also created dangerous traveling condition. Part of A-84, a highway connecting southern Amador to the rest of the country, has been closed due to hundreds of traffic conditions that have left over 600 people injured, including 12 deceased.

This blizzard is part of a series of weather phenomena that has blurred the lines of transition between Winter and Spring. Parts of Amador have received more snowfall in the last two weeks than they did at any point during the 2023 Winter cycle. At the time of writing this article, more than 160,000 homes are without power. Restoration of power is expected to be upwards of 80 % complete over the next two weeks. Southern Amador is mountainous with infrastructure and transportation much harder than along the flat fertile lands of central Amador. Repair workers are working diligently, though the real work will begin following the next series of snowstorms.

Forecast for the following weeks look promising, offering sunny weather and clear skies - perfect weather for repairing and strengthening the southern areas infrastructure. The Chambers of the Imperium, Amador's central legislature, is expected to announce a new transportation bill in the coming months aimed at sending an influx of talents and laborers to southern Amador. The $3.2 trillion bill will tackle failing bridge networks, funding for the new high speed rail line connector in Hafel, another major Amadorian city, along with significant road repairs, and several other means of travel. The biggest target will be the mountainous rail networks.

The bill is seen as the start of a souther renaissance, bringing the same attention the central and northern areas of Amador typically receive. Amador's queen, Maeralya, praised the legislature, citing that it "was of the utmost important for the south to be modernized" and "Long overdue"

The Eternal Throne, the nation's monarchy, is expected to make a public announcement as well in support of the infrastructure bill. The Royal Family has also pleaded with the Amadorian populace living in the southern region to stay home and only travel as a last resort while bracing against the incoming storms.

In Amador's largest city, Citadel, citizens reach for the sky quite literally. Over the last three decades, the megacity has seen explosive growth, both economically and demographically. By 2000, Citadel had surpassed Ifa Serine as the nation's largest city. Today, the city is more than double the size of Ifa Serine. With such population growths, Citadel has found itself with inadequate land to grow outwards. Thus, the nation's first true skyscrapers began piercing the skies above Amador.

More than 643 buildings of heights exceeding 450 feet have been built in Citadel since the early 1990s. Much of these buildings are residential in nature, though the tallest buildings are situated in Citadel's central business district. More so than any other building, the Imperium Tower (c. 2010), at 2,338 ft. tall, is the current tallest structure of any type in Amador. He'kir, the nations third largest city, boasts the second largest skyline in Amador, with 289 completed towers over 450 feet. Ifa Serine sits in third, with 175 completed towers over 450 feet.

The history of the skyscraper in Amador is a telling tale of tradition versus modernity. A traditionalist nation of elves, Amador has always been a nation in-tune with the natural world. When the first skyscrapers begin appearing, Amador resisted, wanting nature to not be interrupted any more than it already had been. During the 1970s and 1980s, with a new generation of elves reaching adulthood, and with the wider world becoming more integrated, Amador's first high-rise buildings begin dotting the skylines of several major cities.

What separates Citadel, and by extension all of Amador's skylines, are the mighty Godswood trees. These trees dot the northern and central areas of Amador and are essential to the faith of the Eternal Flame. Capable of reaching heights of well over one hundred meters, modern Amadorian architects were able to incorporate the natural Amadorian diaspora into the modern, glass-framed buildings of today. It's noted that even a few Godswood themselves are hollowed out and act as a form of high-rise building.

Amador has always been a country with a deep devotion to nature in its natural form. It is a common belief that the Eternal Flame would enevelop the nation should it strive to venture too far from nature's wealth.

The future of the Kingdom is seen as relatively bright. Large-scale construction projects are ongoing, including several supertall buildings (buildings over 300m according to Amadors Council of Urban Building), are expected to transform Ifa Serine's and Citadel's skylines. Most notably, the Serenity Tower, at nearly 650 meters, or 2,100 ft., in Ifa Serine is expected to be completed and opened to the public sometime around May 2024. The building is noted for it's vertical gardens going up the sides of the building from the 20th floor onwards. Upon completion, the building will the the second tallest in the nation.

Skyscrapers are often considered a show of economic prosperity. It would be safe to assume that Amador wishes to spread that wealth to the wider world. Time will only tell how Amador's love for the skyscraper will evolve.

The Kingdom of Amador has largely been an isolated country on the international stage for countless centuries; however, there always remained one prominent diplomatic issues plaguing the kingdom for thousands of years: The Narrows. The Narrows are the body of water separating the northern tip of Amador from the island of Vismer, a Scandinvan Territory. For millennia, the straits have served up hostility on a platter for both nations. In modern time, it is not uncommon for both nation's warships to fire warning shots on near daily occurrence. It's even an expected outcome if each nation's warships fired directly, though fortunately, this has been avoided for several years.

In Amadorian Elven, the Narrows are referred to as the Irindwe Strait. The strait has been a flashpoint for many years, often leading to military engagements. Amadorian-Scandin relations are considered extremely hostile. Scandin Church dictates humans as the supreme race and thusly considers elves and their halfblooded counterparts as "knife-eared bastards". Because of their elven hatred and Amador's belief that elves are the one true race, both nations have never been on fair terms. In fact, both nations have fought a countless wars on Amadorian lands in defense of their beliefs. The Kingdom has even staged several invasions of Vismer in response. Outside of brief terriotorial occupations, the two enemy nations have always been repelled.

Vismer has often been used as a invasion staging point for Scandin forces across most of northern Amador and its eastern forces. Due to countless invasions, there remains a sizable human population in Amador that follows Scandin doctrine. While Amador typically guarantees religious freedoms, the Scandin church is seen as an existential threat to the Kingdom. Thusly, the Kingdom has recently taken actions to "cull" Scandin influence. Because of this, relations are once again beginning to sour, which could lead to military involvement from both side.

Historical enemies with little to no good tidings, Amador-Scandin relations are amongst the most hostile in Gholgoth. With the recent announcement from the Kingdom expressing interest in formal relations with much of Gholgoth, there is a glimmer of hope that Amadorian-Scandin relations can be repaired. Despite hopes, Amadorian Naval command recently announced the movement of Carrier Strike Force 4 to the region, alongside additional destroyer escorts. This represent a stark increase in military hardware in the strait, with CSF 1 and 2 already active in the region. Amadorian military command expects increased Scandin activity in an attempt to deter Amadorian build up in the region.

It can be only with hope that war be avoided between these two ancient foes...

Royal Weddings are one of Amador's largest events. Such an event will soon take place as the Crown Princess and first-in-line to the Eternal Throne announced today that she had officially become engaged to Elduin Davalur, a pureblood elf of 763 years. It had been known publicly that the two highborn elves were officially dating over the past several years. It was to be expected that a potential engagement were to happen.

Royal Engagements are often complicated but adorned in lavish ceremony. To marry into the royal family, an elf or even a human, must receive not only the blessing of the reigning monarch (Queen Maeralya Amador in this case), but also the blessing of the Eternal Flame. As it stands, the current Keeper of the Eternal Flame is also the reigning monarch, though the title of Keeper does not always fall to the monarch. A royal hopeful must survive unscathed from the Eternal Flame. Should they come about unscathed, they are then blessed to enter the Royal Family. Royal marriage is considered an eternal affair; divorce would never be allowed regardless of how the relationship turns out.

In the case of Her Royal Princess Aleriel and Elduin, the two are inseparable, constantly seen together on official and private outings. Elduin, a scholar of Ifa Serine Univerisity, has a prominent workshop in the capital focused on excavating ancient Amadorian history dating as far back as the Kingdom of Tiami. Considered the foremost scholar of ancient Elven history, Elduin met princess at a banquet honoring past Elven achievements and technological marvels of the Ancient Era.

Per Royal tradition, the crown princess was the one to propose, present to Elduin the Royal Ring of Amador, an engagement ring passed down between Crown Royals since time immemorial. It is said the the engagement ceremony took place in the Inner Courtyard gardens under the majestic gaze of Amador's largest Godswood tree.

So what happens when the two wed?

Upon officially marrying into the Royal Family, Elduin will receive a title and estate. Queen Maeralya, as customary, will bestow him the title of Crown Consort, the title given to all spouses of the Crown Royal. Upon Crown Royal Aleriel's ascension to the Eternal Throne, he will be given the title of King Consort. If roles had been reversed, the title would be Queen Consort. Elduin's new title(s) hold no official powers excluding inclusion into the line of succession upon conception of a child. Royal Blood is notably more potent than pure and half-blood elves and will grant Elduin's already enhanced physical prowess an additional boon.

As for the Crown Royal and Princess, Aleriel, she will receive a gift from the Royal Vault compliments of the Queen's grace. Per tradition, the gift may be an ancient elven ceremonial sword, jewelry, or an Elven Holcron: a device capable of immense storage capacity.

So when will the wedding be? July 1, 2024!

The wedding is expected to a joyous occasion, with much of the country tuning in to watch the televised event. Many are also expected to travel to Ifa Serine to watch the royal procession make its way to the wedding staging grounds. The Eternal Cathedral has historically been the site of all Royal Weddings and this should be no different. The Cathedral, having a noted history dating back over 4,000 years, is a massive columned building with an adorning golden rotunda.

Among those in attendance will of course be the Royal Family. In particular, Queen Maeralya will attend as the marriage officiant due to her role as Keeper of the Eternal Flame, though she will only take stage once the wedding has begun. Pre and post ceremonial prayers will be conducted by the Archpriest of the Eternal Flame, Indierdwe Ramakel. Invitations are expected to be sent to Amador's allies and other nations as well. Other notable attendees are expected to be the Chancellor, Imperium members, and friends of the bride. The groom's family is also expected to be in attendance. For tradition, the groom's family will be the guests of honor in the ceremony.

This wedding is shaping up to be a once in a lifetime event, with the last royal wedding over 400 years ago. The rarity of the event will more than likely lead to an ecstatic atmosphere. For all things Royal Family, ANI will provide up-to-date real-time news as it becomes available! For now, ANI, and the Kingdom as a whole is gearing up for what should be the biggest event in centuries for the Kingdom!

The Kingdom of Amador is a vast nation of many different people. Elves, humans, nonhumans... they all reside in the nation. But what sets apart this nation? It is ruled by elves. Amadorian elves have a long, complicated history stretching back more than 12,000 years ago. There are two notable types of elves in the Kingdom: Pureblood and Halfblood. Elves and humans are capable of procreating, thus leading to Half-bloods. Half-bloods are long-lived, capable of living for several centuries depending on how diluted their bloodline is. Purebloods are the immortal elves of Amador - capable of living forever. Only a fatal wound could end a pureblooded elf. Where do they get this immortality though? Have purebloods always been immortal? Or were they perhaps granted this boon?

The Eternal Flame is the leading religious organization in Amador. Headed by the Archpriest of Ifa Serine and protected by the Keeper of the Eternal Flame, the religion can be found in every crevice of elven society. The story goes that the ancestor to all Amadorian elves found a Phoenix, a flaming bird for posterity's sake, while hunting to feed his family. In his fear of the unknown, the elderly elf sent several bow shots towards the creature, rendering it greatly injured.

Upon closer examination of his downed foe, he realized that the creature was not inherently harmful. It's flames were said to be hot as the sun, but would not burn away another living being unless it willed the flames to do as such. The elven hunter would take the creature to his home and with his family, would spend months nursing phoenix back to full strength. The phoenix, despite the unwarranted attack by the hunter, was overcome with empathy and love for the hunter saving its life.

The great phoenix would reward the hunter a boon: the Eternal Flame. The Eternal Flame itself is the power of the Phoenix's flame. Upon receiving the Eternal Flame, the elderly hunter's youth would return along with his family's, granting them immortality. There was, however, one more gift the phoenix granted the hunter; flame control. The ability to bend fire is a gift only the Keeper of the Eternal Flame posses. There are cases where the keeper can instill a fragment of this power to other members of the founder's bloodline.

With this great power, the elven hunter would say his goodbyes to the Phoenix, who in a display of luminance, would return to the heavens where it had originated. The now youthful elf would go on to establish the first elven nation: the Kingdom of Tiami. Under his rule, the Kingdom would establish the Church of the Eternal Flame in reverence for the heavenly creature. The Royal Family of then Tiami, now Amador, would be established to pass down this great gift.

For all of Amador's history, the Royal Family has stood as stalwart protectors of the Eternal Flame. Each wielder, it's Keeper, are likened to a living deity with the powers they posses. For the moment a new Keeper is revealed, it is said that the Phoenix will appear, renewing it's grace upon the royal elf, thus preserving pureblooded immortality, though half-bloods, due to their diluted blood, do not receive the boon of immortality. A Keeper also acts as the monarch of the Kingdom. Upon the ascension of a new monarch, the previous monarch will pass along the Eternal Flame and it's great gifts, preserving elven kind. This ritual is not without sadness though. The previous monarch's body, having been drained of the Flame, will inevitably succumbed to death, though this may take several decades. The current monarch, Maeralya Amador, ascended over five hundred years ago in 1486. Her father, King Tal Vashok Amador, would eventually pass away in 1521.

The Eternal Flame has been a beacon of light for the Kingdom and a shield against opposing nations for millennia. And for millennia more, the Eternal Flame will stay true to its name, shining for all eternity.

When someone thinks about Amador, the first thing one's mind would picture is the Eternal Flame, followed by Maeralya Amador, the queen. But what is the next one? Amador's serene beauty? Other Royals? Perhaps Ifa Serine? Hardly. In fact, the Godswood trees are a national symbol Amadorian citizens take great pride and reverence in. Millennia have gone by and the Godswood are depicted in ancient drawings, religious depictions, and modern media. Its presence is daily, and there isn't a time of day in any part of the country where one might wrest their eyes on the Godswood.

Godswood Trees are native to the Tiamian Peninsula, stretching as far south as the Glypherial Mountain Range straddling Amador's southern border. A mature Godswood can be as thick as a skyscraper and as tall as four-to-five hundred feet in height. They can be found in all of Amador's climates, whether cold, humid, or mild. However, too see droves upon droves of Godswood, one must look to central Amador. Verdant forests of the mighty tree are plentiful, covering vast swaths of central Amador. Central Amador is unique from the country in that these Godswoods allowing the tall megacities of Amador to live in unison with the trees. Skyscrapers soaring into the air, share their spectacle with the Godswoods.

It is said that the Keeper of the Eternal Flame can "communicate" with the Godswood. While not much is known, it can be assumed that this is because of the natural power of flames the Keeper has been bestowed. Queen Maeralya can often be found resting against the base of a small Godswood in the Royal Gardens.

Rest assured, these mighty trees will continue to be inspirational and beloved by the populace for many more millenia.

Amador's Newest Warship Enters Service

ARNS Aleriel Undergoing Seat Trials

The Royal Navy recently announced today that the ARNS Aleriel, an Akagi-class Guided Missile Cruiser, officially entered service. The cruiser, at 20,000 tons, is one of the largest ships in the navy after Lateriel-class Supercarriers. The ninth ship in her class of a planned twelve, the Aleriel is named in honor of the Crown Princess Aleriel. Her first active deployment has already been announced. She will be deployed on April 21, 2024 to The Irindwe Strait between the northern tip of Amador and the island of Vismer, a Scandin territory.

The Akagis are designed to counter opposing submarines and carrier strike groups. They deploy as part of Amador's own carrier strike groups. A nuclear-powered vessel, the ships are capable and in theory, possess unlimited range and endurance. They cruisers are expected to play a critical role in deterring Scandin aggressions against the Kingdom.

The Akagis are among several new ships joining the navy over the coming years. With the Kingdom's shift from an isolationist policy two decades prior, the Royal Navy has seen the construction of several new aircraft carriers, notably the 110,000 ton Lateriel-class supercarriers introduced in 2014. Though the Kingdom maintains limited power projection capabilities, substantial growth in its new capabilities cannot be overstated.

It can be said that the navy has seen the most funding among departments. This is as designed, to not only deter Scandin aggression, but to elevate the nation to an equal standing in Gholgoth; however, current military doctorine will still be one of defense, specifically Amador's borders. Naval power will reign supreme in Gholgoth and Amador wants a slice of the pie.

Phoenix Festival Coming Soon: Huge Crowds Expected in Ifa Serine

Ifa Serine hosts several things: the government, Amador's history, and the Phoenix Festival. The festival, a celebration of the Eternal Phoenix and its contribution to Amadorian Society, is held every year during the second week of April. Among Amador's most popular yearly events, the festival brings countless millions of citizens from across the nation to partake in the festival activities.

The seven day event is known for not only honoring the Phoenix, but for several events held during the festival. One such notable event is the Cheese Eating Competition. Varieties of cheeses are introduced and eaten by citizens partaking in the competition. Amador, as a nation, considers cheese to be among its most popular and coveted food items. In fact, the National Cheese Society holds countless cheese eating competitions on the regional circuit to decide the participants of the competition during the Phoenix Festival.

Among other events are the Bending Games, an imitation of the the Keeper's martial arts pertaining to the wielding of the Eternal Flame. Participants practice the Phoenix Art's moves, showcasing their skill in martial arts. There are even grounds for actual combat. It has been noted that the Queen secretly attending the Bending games one year, before quickly announcing her presence with a dazzling display of fire.

The Phoenix Festival's most popular event is always the fireworks display at the end of the festival. The Closing Ceremony ends with fireworks. Plethora of fireworks illuminate the skies, filling spectators with renewed vigor for the remaining year. The firework displays are often a popular proposal time for Amadorian citizens, as it's often rumored to provide eternal love for couples who gaze upon the spectacle hogging the night sky.

This year's festival is expected to be among the largest and most extravagant in recent memory. The Royal Family, per tradition, will be making an appearance. It's been rumored that the Crown Royal Princess Aleriel will be participating amongst the locals and partaking in the bending games, as she possess a fragment of the Eternal Flame through her mother, the queen. The Royals are noted to be highly included in the Phoenix Festival as a whole and generally look forward to "fooling" around with their citizens in an effort to remain close to everyone.

This years festival is shaping up to be one for the record books. The Second week of April is nearly upon Amador. ANI can't wait to provide coverage and we will see you there!

O’l Aethel, Amador is one of the nations largest cities. Noted for its vibrant nightlife and historic elven architecture, the city is considered the fastest growing city in the nation. Among it's many construction projects, the most notable would be the near-completion of the O’l Aethel Corridor High Speed Rail Network. At 500 miles in length, it is the largest construction project in the city and the surrounding Thylath Prefecture.

The high-speed rail (HSR) network in the Kingdom of Amador is among the longest in Gholgoth -- with a total length of over 50,000 miles as of 2020. The HSR network encompasses newly built rail lines registered to speeds up to 300 mph, also among the fasted in Gholgoth. The HSR network is extensively used, with billions of passengers annually. With the New Era Plans, HSR is on the books to add another 20,000 miles of purpose-built passenger lines the network by 2030.

High speed rail is integral to the modern Amadorian population and by extent, the economy. A backbone of economical production, HSR serves the entirety of the nation. With continued investment, Amador's HSR is state-of-the-art and among the best in the world. A testament to modern prosperity, HSR will continue to serve the nation for the foreseeable future.

O'l Aethel Skyline

O'l Aethel is one of many cities and their surrounding prefectures that are investing in vast construction projects. Erieth in the Mundaielle Prefecture is making significant investments in high speed rail and solar power arrays. Fyllathemar in the Huabelle Prefecture is nearing completion of a 200 mile stretch of high speed rail featuring the fastest speeds in Amador in excess of 320 MPH.

Amador has undergone extensive new construction projects of various kinds to bring the nation into the modern age, which has been widely successful. Federal funding has enabled such vast projects under the New Era Plans introduced in the early 1980s and still continuing to this day. The main focus was to enable employment in a variety of sectors and the modernization of Amadorian infrastructure.

With HSR being chief among the New Era Plans, the sector has received vast funding and critical acclaim. Amadorian citizens have stated they are "in love" or "loving" the rail system serving the nation. Furthermore, citizens have praised not having to drive everywhere in a personal vehicle, limiting pollution and its impact on the environment. In fact, HSR employs electric and solar-powered vehicles instead of fuel-based trains.

As Amador continues to make strides in rail and energy, the world will surely be keep a watchful eye.

Of Serenity

Elven culture has flourished for millennia through its culture, arts, government, and religion. One of the most striking paintings of the last millennia is Of Serenity by Hugel Olymphar, a renowned elven painter of 1,700 years. The paint depicts an elegant castle in the mountains overlooking a resplendent waterfall. The painting, styled after the Winter Palace in the Glypheral Mountains, is the current residence of Cylia Amador, the Kingdom's second princess.

Of Serenity is displayed at the Royal Museum of the Arts and Sciences in Ifa Serine's historical district. Elven painters are passionate creatures, sometimes taking centuries to create their masterpieces. Of Serenity itself was reputed to have taken at least 78 years to paint. Today the painting is the most popular attraction in the museum, garnering millions of viewers every year. Other notable works of art inclued the Phoenix Afire, a statue modeled after a Phoenix flight, burning to the heavens.

The Winter Palace, the palace the painting displays, has been an official royal residence for four hundred years. Cylia Amador has been cited to frequent the palace, enjoying its lush views, stunning landscape, and numerous mountain trails traversing around the palace. Rumor has it that Cylia hides a secret relationship at the palace, though the royal family has yet to comment on such notions.

Art takes center stage in Amador, often expressing the nations deeply rich culture. With the Kingdom opening its borders, Amadorian culture can assuredly spread to other nations abroad. In fact, the Kingdom announced an international art exhibit to foster relations amongst attending nations.

Royal Navy Conducts Exercise off Amador

The Amadorian Royal Navy announced today that the Glpyhereal naval exercise was officially underway. in Ifa Serine. The annual exercise is designed to deepen communication and coordination in the field. The exercise also tests tactics and strategies without actual combat. There will be a live-fire portion of the exercise on decommissioned hulls to test current and in-testing weapons systems.

Rapid naval modernization has procured the navy substantial new resources, including the formation of several new carrier strike forces. Carrier Strike Force 7 will be participating in the exercising, offering an in-depth look at carrier-borne activities. New crews will be in place as well for training when the next carriers enter service over the next decade.

The naval exercise has long been a strain of Scandin-Amadorian relations. Already enemies, the exercise serves as a deterrent towards Scandin hostilities. The annual event is aimed as ensuring Scandin aggressions are curbed.

The Royal Navy has received vast amounts of federal funding over the last twenty years in an effort to modernize and outpace some of Amador's more militant neighbors, particularly the Scandinvans. Efforts to secure the Irindwe Strait from Scandin hands have prompted the navy to allocate most of its resources towards a successful power projection capability. Such capabilities are being gained rapidly as a result. One such example would be the fact the just thirty years ago, the navy possessed no aircraft carriers.

Ailred Fasandoral: The King Consort

For over five hundred years, Queen Maeralya has ruled with a fair and just hand. For more than a millennia, she has had her husband, Ailred, by her side. The two, often inseparable, rule the nation together. Ailred in particular is noted to reign in Maeralya's more dogmatic and aggressive approach to ruling. As King Consort, Ailred is second to Maeralya in terms of power and prestige. But who is this seasoned and dashing leader of elves?

Ailred Fasdandoral, of House Teth Lathel , was born c. 3,200 B.C in the capital of the Kingdom of Hath Teliel, Gyndyfwl. As a young elf, he served his house in various duties and ceremonies. He would achieved fame during the Fall of Gyndyfwl during the Amadorian Revolutions of 1488-1487 B.C. Appointed as a general of the current monarchs father, Tal Vashok, he would lead countless large-scale battles against the Hath Teliel Kingdom. During the Fall of Gyndywl, he would personally lead the siege of the city before ultimately sacking the city and burning it to the ground. Today the ruins of the ancient capital are atill present, it's stone walls colored black from the flames. The Hath Teliel Royal Family would succumb to his armies during the fall, ending the Kingdom and ultimately establishing the 1st Kingdom of Amador under Tal Vashok, taking the name of Amador.

Ailred would continue serving the new Kingdom faithfully for two more millennia, aiding in the establishment of modern Amador's national boundaries, suppressing sparks of rebellion from would-be usurpers and old kingdom enemies, and protecting civilians from all manner of fell beasts.

Around 700 A.D, the general would retire from active military service. He would be granted the title of Duke and an estate of his choosing by King Amador. In his retirement, he would opt to choose a new career in governance, sitting among several seats of the Imperium Chambers. An advocate for civilian equality and a staunch defender of Amadorian martial prowess, he be a riveting headache for other senators and a local hero for the civilian populace.

It would be during this time that Ailred would meet his wife-to-be, Maeralya, then the Crown Royal of Amador. The two would almost instinctually become smitten with one another. Following a decades long courtship starting in 804 A.D, the two would ultimately marry in 834 A.D. Ailred would be elevated to the rank of Prince Consort, exemplifying him as one with the Crown Royal. Their marriage would ultimately produce three children throughout the centures: Aleriel, Gaeleath, and Cylia.

In modern times, the two effectively rule the nation together, though to varying degrees. Ailred acts as the Queen's proxy in numerous affairs, often attending official meetings of court in her stead due to her role as Keeper of the Eternal Flame, which effectively grants her divinity. Though the Queen does rule, Ailred is often seen as the true "hammer" of the Monarchy. He does, however, operate in a manner befitting himself as a royal and in accordance with the will of the Queen.

With Amador recently announcing it's intention to enter into greater diplomatic ties with the Gothic Realms, it can be expected that Ailred will be at the forefront of the push, willing to life the ideals that his wife and queen desires.

Amadorian Eclipse Reaching Totality

Millions of Amadorians lined the streets of cities across Amador as they made spectacle of a solar eclipse today. The Eclipse reached totality across central Amador around 2:00 PM local time, casting its beautiful gaze down towards the Kingdom. The event, occurring every 300-400 years in Amador, typically draws massive crowds across the country. Total Solar Eclipses are often consider of great religious important to the Eternal Flame

In accordance with the Eternal Flames, it is often stated that the flames of the Great Phoenix are often at its strongest, despite the absence of the most of the sun during totality. A ritual in which the queen creates a vortex of flames towards the sky during an eclipse can be seen for dozens of miles, reaching countless miles into the sky as well. Another well-known fact is that the Great Phoenix is presumed to have come of life during a total eclipse.

A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, rendering the sun mostly unseeable and the shadow created plotting a path alongside a small area of the planet. While annual eclipses are regular, as the name implies, total solar eclipses are quite rare and only typically occur in the same era every few hundred years. Amador itself has a strong network of eclipse chasers for both lunar and solar eclipses. The next solar eclipse estimated to reach totality in the same travel path is estimated to occur in 2398 A.D.

Solar eclipses are a natural phenomena ocurring when the moon passes between the planet and sun, casting it's size completely over the much large sun. As it is highly dangerous to look upon Sol, the Amadorian government and it's contract, freely give out eclipse glasses, designed to filter out harmful solar light and radiation, ultraviolet waves, and infared. These solar viewers allow citizens to safely cast their eyes on the eclipse.

The Tiami: A History of the First Elves

Amador is famous for being a nation of Elves. What many do not know, however, is that the elves of Amador can trace their lineage back to three distinct elven clans of Ancient Amador. The Kingdom of Amador is but one of several kingdoms to rule what is known as the Tiamian Peninsula in Gholgoth. In fact, the original clan of Elves were known as the Tiami.

The Tiami were originally a nomadic group of elves that settled the central valleys around modern-day Ifa Serine of the western coasts. Old ruins estimate that the Tiami were in the area at least 15,000 years prior, though written history would come into existence sometime around the fifth millennia B.C. The Tiami would be granted the gift of the Eternal Flame by the Great Phoenix in ancient times, granting the powers of immortality and fire upon the elven people. This would ultimately lead to the Tiami establishing the Kingdom of Tiami and absorbing other elven settlements and tribes of the time.

Throughout millennia of rule, Tiami would establish Ifa Serine, numerous architectural marvels that still stand in pristine condition today, and establish the basis of government on which Amador would rule. The Kingdom of Tiami, though gone for thousands of years at this point, still plays an integral part in elven society to this day. In fact, all members of the Royal Family of Amador are descendants of the First Tiamian King. Queen Maeralya herself, has laid claim to having known the First King himself, though she hardly ever speaks of him. Maeralya is one of the few elves alive today that has seen the founding Kingdom in its splendor.

The Tiami in modern times play significant parts in government and the arts, often cooperating with over elves for the betterment of the nation. Though fewer in number today, the Tiami are still considered the most prestigious of pureblooded elves. Though a myth, it is rumored that should the Tiami every cease to exist, so to would the gift of immortality. A false presumption, but nevertheless, a reality worth considering should it ever be true.

The Tiami are the dominant culture of Amador, establishes the foundation for all future Kingdoms on the Tiamian Peninsula. Their influence runs deep, like the roots of a Godswood and will only continue to sail the nation towards a prosperous future.

Who Are the Elves?

Among the many nations of the world, Amador is unique in that its main populace is comprised of elves, humanoids with an uncanny resemblance to humans, save for their pointed ears. What separates elves from humans are their enhanced lifespans and chance for immortality.

Today, the nation is a three-fourths majority elven nation with substantial nonhuman and human populations as well. Modern elves are unlike the elves of ages past. Humans began colonizing the northern and eastern regions of Tiamian Peninsula in the early 1000s. It was soon made apparent that humans and elves would procreate with one another. Unlike pureblooded elves, half bloods have a mortal lifespan, though for long they will live depends on how diluted the elven bloodline is. In other words, how old the halfblood generation is. Halfbloods will retain some measure of enhanced physical characteristics such as agility in strength, though not to the level of a pureblood elf.

Due to a millennia of interbreeding, half bloods are the most prominent portion of the Amadorian population, at just over 50 % of all elves can trace their lineage back to a halfblood relationship. In modern times, due to their frequency, half bloods are no longer treated with great disdain as they initially were in years past.

Pureblooded Elves only take up 20% of the population. The reason being that pureblooded procreation is exceedingly difficult. Pureblood conception will typically take between 50 to 100 years before a female pureblood is impregnated. Pregnant purebloods will come to term after 11 months. Half blood elves reproduce at a far faster pace, akin to a normal human, thus explaining the larger portion of the populace being pure blooded.

There is, however, a small sect of the pureblood elves that stand out amongst all elves. Elves of Tiami descent, or Royal Blood, posses far great attributed. With the Flames of the Phoenix, royal elves are granted the same abilities as purebloods, but their abilities are significantly enhanced and noticeable. Aleriel Amador, the Crown Princess of Amador is capable of smashing small boulders, moving faster than most humans can perceive, and can take an extreme amount of trauma before being even remotely dazed. As Keeper and wielder of flames, her body is flameproof.

For most purebloods, their abilities grow in proportion to their age. As the oldest elf to have ever existed in Amador, Maeralya is undeniably the most powerful of her kind, with strength capable of stopping vehicles dead in their tracks should she have to exert herself. She would be considered a veritable “Superhuman” were she human.

There have been several descending royal families of the First King throughout history, such as the Korenaen Royal family. Any member of the Royal Families, be it the Amadorian Royal Family or other past royal families, as long as a royal possesses the blood of the First King, shall posses the ability to wield power of the Eternal Flame. Though only one Keeper may be present at any given time, the Keeper is able to bestow a boon towards another Royal, granting them the ability to firebend, though on a level far below that of the Keeper. Royals will have the basic abilities of fire bending, capable of fire blasts, fire cloaks, and fire shields, though the advanced forms are far out of reach.

With the blessings of the Eternal Flame, all pureblooded elves are granted an indefinite lifespan. Purebloods will live forever so long as they do not receive a fatal injury. Sickness and disease do not affect pureblood elves. The only way a pureblood can pass is to receive a mortal injury or to lose the will to live

Cylia Amador: The Prodigy

Among the Royal Family, there is perhaps none more beloved than the Second Princess Cylia. The Queen's youngest, Cylia is renowned for her beauty and charisma and prodigious talents.. Though she may never inherit the crown, she has been praised relentless for her charitable works and how she carries out her duties as a princess of Amador.

Born in 1486 AD to Queen Maeralya and King Consort Alonsir, Cylia is the youngest of child of the royal family. Still, at five centuries of age, she has seen her fair share of the world. Amongst her siblings, she has taken a keen interest in traveling Gholgoth and the world. In fact, she is reputed to be a trump card in diplomatic relations, often spending much of her time at the Department of Diplomacy.

Like her siblings, she participates in numerous charitable events around the nation. Not one to shirk her duties, she regularly holds a gala aimed at raising donations for medical advancements in the fight against human diseases. Other duties include military services, speaking engagements, and interventions in the Senate. a natural-born prodigy, she eclipses her sibling in raw strengths, agilities, and pure talent despite being centuries younger than them. It is even stated that she possess strength on par with her father, one of the few elves in Amador said to be able to compare to the Queen.

Cylia is unique among elves in that she possesses blood-red eyes and pure-white hair. One could mistake this for albinism, though she retains a peachy complexion. She is, to this day, the only known pureblooded elf to posses blood-red eyes. Cylia has many rumors about her, though most almost assuredly false. Hardcore fans claim she has a human lover of commoner status. Others claim she is the rumored "White Knight" seen dashing atop the rooftops of Ifa Serine during the nights. However, there is one rumor that eclipses them all, for it could mean a miraculous boon for the Eternal Flame.

Cylia is rumored to also posses the powers of the Great Phoenix in full, a feat only exclusive to the Keeper of the Eternal Flame. While the Keeper is capable of sharing their powers with a person of their choosing, the shared power is significantly weaker than the Keeper's. Furthermore, in all recorded Amadorian history, there has only been one Keeper at any given time. The Princess was once spotted performing advanced fire bending techniques that only the Queen could perform, lending truth to the claim she could also be a Keeper. She does not publicly display any powers of the Eternal Flame, though that is typically par for the course among royals outside of ceremony and engagements.

Before the advent of recorded history, there claims that a Keeper existed as more than just a singular entity in Amador, so there is historical evidence that having two Keepers is possible, albeit highly unlikely. Cylia has always been a prodigy in anything she put her mind to. Perhaps this gift has enhanced the second princess to such a degree that she would be of prodigious talents? One thing is certain, though, Cylia is adored by the public more than any other member of the Royal Family. Her kindness, charity, and influence surpass her own sibling's several times over.

[At the Port of Orgoeli on the eastern coast of Amador, sits a sizable collection of retired Arat Navui ships. Destroyers, cruisers, old submarines and one carrier float in the deep-water harbor, nature slowly taking apart the aging vessels. During their service life, they were once part of several fleet formations aimed at deterring and controlling Scandin influences near Amador. Today, they are but shadows of their former selves.

In an act of Congress today, several of the withered vessels were announced to be soon floated out to see and sunk in military exercises. The aftermath would result in them being sunk, and hopefully creating an environment where marine wildlife could use the wreckage as an artificial reef. The main goal, however, would be the testing of new naval systems, including the newest iteration of the Hell-fire Anti-ship missile.

Several citizens have decried the announcement as a waste of taxpayer dollars and furthering the military's objectives over the populace. Others have cried outrage that the ships could not be preserved as museum ships. It should be noted modern naval vessel in the Arat Navui are museum ships, owing to generations without large-scale conflict. More specifically the carrier Kiraley, named after the mother of the current King Consort, Alonsir, is nuclear powered. The removalof the nuclear reactors would take years and gut much of the ship itself, it was deemed untenable retrofit the vessel into a museum ship.

Whatever happens, the navy will be conducting new exercises regardless, as the fate of countless retired vessels have been struck. Perhaps the marine ecosystem will love their new homes? Only time will tell.

Queen Maeralya Announces Unexpected Pregnancy

In what appears to be the news of the millennia, Queen Maeralya has announced that she is pregnant with her fourth child. The queen took to her daily press meet to announce the stunning news. It had been more than five hundred years since the queen had her last child, Second Princess Cylia. The news is surely a joyous occasion that will be celebrated for years to come. Of course, it is not without concern.

The average Elven pureblood pregnancy will come to term around 11 months, several months longer than a human. Furthermore, it's noted that pureblood conception is exceedingly rare, as it normal call take upwards up a century for a lady elf to conceive. This is one of many reasons as to why pureblood elves are no longer the large demographic in the nation. Halfblood Elf-Human hybrids are the most prominent group.

To add to the concern, there has been very few elven women that have birthed more than two children, let alone 3. In fact, Maeralya's fourth pregnancy is among such rarified air, that the amount of elven mothers with four children could be counted on one's fingers. There has never been a elven mother of five.

The Queen's announcement certainly comes as a shock, as the queen has not conceived in centuries. Many thought, including the queen herself, that she was finished bearing children. It is a wonder that the Queen, some 12,000 years old, conceived her first children only one millennia prior to modern Amador.

Upon the birth of the royal child, they will be titled as either the Second Prince, or the Third Princess, depending on gender. Upon maturation, a process that can take fifty years or longer, they will be titled as a Duke and be entitled to an estate along with any productions upon said estate. The Durellian Estates, a vineyard and seasonal vacation home of the royal family, will likely be the estate gifted.

Queen Maeralya was noted as being "Shocked, flippant, and overjoyed" at the prospect of her new pregnancy. She was quoted as saying: "To carry a child is a great blessing granted to us by the Phoenix. As a mother of three already, I can't tell you I'm looking forward to the clean-up duties, but I will be looking forward to the cuddles and love I and my child will be giving one another. Plus, babies are cute. And if you disagree, you're fired."

The room was abuzz with laughter following her quote, indicating the lighthearted nature of the affair. It was noted that several news organizations were present, including ANI's own Hilary Welker, who is expected to have a sit-down interview with the Queen and the Crown Royal Aleriel in the coming days. More news on that interview will be published following the conclusion of their interview. Topics expected to be touched upon are of Gholgoth, Amador's ambitions, and the Eternal Flames. A Sit-down with a Queen

The Eternal Palace is the official residence and working place of the Royal Family and the monarchy of Amador. This is no different for Queen Amador, who has sat the Eternal Throne for over five hundred years. A few weeks ago, I received rare permission for a sit-down with the beloved monarch. Yesterday, my sit-down occurred. Below, will be a following excerpt from the interview, answering a myriad of questions. The Queen looked resplendent as always, though it should be noted she was in far more casual clothes for the interview. Relaxed and cheerful were the two best words I could define for her in the moment. The full sit-down will be featured on ANI's TV broadcasting center on Monday, 7:00 PM Amadorian Central time. The following are excerpts from the interview:

HW: "Thank you so much for your time today, your majesty. I'm looking forward to asking you a few questions."
MA: You're quite welcome, Hilary. I appreciate you having me. Shall we begin?"

The camera pans in closely to Hilary.
HW: "Rumor has it that you're looking to expand influence in Gholgoth for the Kingdom. What can you say about this?"

MA: "The rumors are mostly true as many have expected. For far too long our nation has sat, watching and learning from other Gothic nations. We have our hostilities of course, but for much of our history, we've remained relatively isolated. I've sought to change that... to give our nation a chance at further greatness. To this point, we do have several avenues we've taken to to ensure diplomatic proceedings with varying countries. While I cannot say which countries we've opened channels with, I can assure you which countries we have not. The Royal Family and I believe that breaking with tradition and sharing our culture with the region may help in preventing the overthrows of war that Gholgoth is so famous for. We believe that our peaceful approach may full and well be invaluable to the future of our region."

HW: "Thank you, your majesty. That was quite elaborately worded. Now... I understand that you are aiming to secure regional peace in regards to this, but how do you plan on obtaining this?"

MA: "Regional peace in Gholgoth is not something that's really ever been achieved. Bloodshed is the second language in Gholgoth. It's the one language we all understand. And while we have had our fair share in the past, Amador recognized the need to continue perseverance in the form of peace. We isolated ourselves for the most part, hiding away from the throngs of war. Using our established and newly establish networks and means of diplomacy, we hope to tie in the other nations into a regional alliance. I cannot say for sure that it will work, but it is our strong desire to limit warfare and promote prosperity throughout the region."

HW: Your Majesty, would if be safe to assume that you desire a position amongst the Gothic Lords?"

MA: "That would be something, wouldn't it? I've lived for countless millennia. I've seen lords come and go. The title is of no particular importance to me, though I wouldn't shirk at receiving at it."

HW: "Rumor has it that the Eternal Flame has graced us with a second keeper. This has not happened in millennia to our knowledge. What can you tell us about this? About your daughter Cylia?"

MA: "The Eternal Flame has never been one to give its gifts to only one person. Our immortality, as it's stated, comes directly from the flames of the Great Phoenix. In that, we are supremely blessed to be among the oldest species in Gholgoth and by extension, Amador. As for a second Keeper, it should be worth mentioning that while recorded history states there has never be two at any given time, I can almost assuredly tell you that there has been. I've been around far longer than simple writing and language has. There has even be two keepers within the last five hundred years, though we have kept this secret."

HW: "Are you confirming what we all know to be true?"

Ma: "Not necessarily, Hilary. Cylia is an independent young elf. If she is another Keeper, she will announce it herself. I would not deign to give outright confirmation for her in lieu of disrespecting her character. She is of prodigious talents, so it definitely looks as if she is. What is it that some say these days? I can neither confirm nor deny these rumors?"

HW: "I feel as at this time, we've become quite close. I've interviewed you several times over the last two decades. As an Amadorian Human, I find it quite fascinating that you have lived so long. It's not something I can comprehend. What can you say about this."

MA: "Immortality certainly has it's benefits. I cannot find a wrinkle at all!"

MA: "My long life has granted me the innumerable pleasure to watch this country develop since it' original founding back during the era of the Kingdom of Tiami. It has been such a long time, sure, but I feel as if I am just any other normal Amadorian citizen. I still breathe. I sleep. I eat. I use the bathroom. All things mortal citizens do. I would say rather than true immortality, I have an indefinite lifespan. I'm not immune to fatal blows, or depressions. I can lose the will to live and I've come close before. This is common knowledge among pureblood elves. We believe transparency is key to effective governance. It's why we shed away from centuries of secrets in regards to a pureblood's indefinite life.

HW: "Recently you announced your fourth pregnancy. How does becoming a mother once more feel?"

MA: "Motherhood is something I firmly believe enriches our souls. It's a duty of all Amadorian women and men to continue the bloodlines of their families. For me, motherhood is a blessing the Eternal Flame has given me. To have a fourth child, something very few elves have ever done, it remains very dear to me. I cannot wait to welcome the newest prince or princess into my family.

HW: "Thank you so much for today, your Majesty. It has been my genuine pleasure, per usual, though I think next time we sit down, I may have a few wrinkles. "

MA: "My pleasure Hilary. Just make sure you don't share those wrinkles with me. "

Aleriel: The Future

Queen Maeralya has sat the Eternal Throne for five hundred years. For humans, that's countless lifetimes stacked upon one another. For an elf, it's only a drop in the bucket. In face, King Vashok, Maeralya's father, sat the throne for well over two thousand years. Compared to her father, Maeralya has only sat the throne for but a brief moment. Yet. despite this, the queen has been approachingly adamament about the future of the throne, upon which Alerial Amador, the Crown Royal, will sit.

Aleriel Amador, born 932 AD, is the Crown Prince and Crown Royal, first in line to inherit the the Eternal Throne. The millennia-old elf has been in the limelight for much of her life, often appearing as the face of the monarchy during peaceful times. The princess, an avid read of lore, is noted to be of exquisite beauty, hearkening back to the days of yore when Elven woman often styled their hair in a darker shine. The pitch-black hair, genetics passed down from the Hath Teliel Dynasty of Tiami through Maeralya's mother, signifies prosperity, yet solemness.

The Crown Princess is often noted for her solemn, or emotionless, demeanor. Not to say that she is without emotion, but her facial structure often does not indicate her reactions. Behind closed doors, she is often said to be quite cheerful and loving, despite her reactions. As humans say, she has quite the poker face. Her poker face is something she greatly puts to use in her political adventures and royal duties as Crown Royal.

Princess Aleriel has been groomed for the Eternal Throne since she was officially proclaimed Crown Royal in 950 AD upon her eighteenth birthday. Studying governance since she was a child, Aleriel has become what many believe to be the ideal successor to Queen Maeralya and King Consort Ailred. She is often seen sitting in meetings of importance with her father and/or mother at any given time. At other times, she can be seen filling in for her parents. Her other duties include meeting with foreign guests, hosting guest regional and abroad, and fulfilling charitable works for the country and royal family.

With the announcements that the Kingdom will begun expressed fervent diplomatic desires with several regional and international neighbors, Aleriel is expected to be quite busy attending to State Visits, diplomatic visits, and establishments of alliances with several nations. Her wedding, due in just a few months time, has the possibility to be moved forward or pushed back depending on the needs of the Monarchy.

Upon her Ascension, she will be stylized as Queen Aleriel Amador, First of Her Name, Queen of Amador and Protector of the Tiami. Her reign, while expected to be centuries from now, is expected to continue the ushering of the Amadorian Golden Age. Her Fiancé, and soon-to-be-husband, Elduin Davalur, will officially take on the role of King Consort.

What remains certain is that the future queen is a beloved figured of Amador and will continue to be the foreseeable future ahead.

Naval Vessel Suffers Catastrophic Fire: Ship Sinks

Ifa Serine, Amador-

Months ago, the ANNS Sirnamiel suffered a catastrophic fire near it's ammunition department, casuing massive explosions and ultimately sinking the ship in Ifa Serine Naval Harbor. After investigations were carried out, the Navy has reported that the event was the result of systemic failures. The cascade of errors including a full breakdown of crew training, most notably among 20 sailors.

The ship, an amphibious assault ship, was commissioned only three years prior. Following the accident, the ship was decommissioned. Lack of adequate training, ship maintenance, and improper oversight were what led to the catastrophic loss of billions. Thankfully, no one was killed in the accident, as the majority of sailors had be on shore leave at the time.

Admiral Elmerin Ricerin, commander of the Sirnamiel, was relieved of command and faces a military tribunal in September following a more conclusive analysis of the incident. A forty-year veteran of the Arat Navui, Ricerin was a beloved figure of the navy. Noted for his fervent support of naval expansion, his relieving of command is a shock to many of those who have served under his command.

The vessel was part of the Arat Navui's rapid expansion to counterattack and contend with regional neighbors such as the Scandin menace. With the recent expansions, it can be assumed that training has not necessarily been up to par with what has been dictated and set out for guidelines. This is expected to be a notable point in Admiral Ricerin's testimony. Many civilians have assumed that the Naval Command will begin to roll out new comprehensive training guides and instructors to support the influx of would-be sailors to the Arat Navui. The Queen herself has said she is "Ashamed" and "appalled" at the poor training standards. With addition of new instructors, the commissioned officers corps are expected to be expanded significantly to maintain discipline.

The Arat Navui is expected to be a regional contender over the next few years. One can only hope that the poor training is quickly rectified before the navy has to put its guns to use.

BREAKING: Earthquake Devastates He’kir: Thousands Feared Dead
April 19, 2024

Ifa Serine, Amador-

Amador was rocked today, figuratively and literally. In the early morning hours, a devastating earthquake struck He’kir, Amador’s fourth largest city. Thousands are presumed dead. Furthering this, reports of collapsing skyscrapers, shattered road networks, and countless debris and hazards are being reported.

According to the Royal Geographic and Seismology Association, the rumbling started around 9:00 AM Amadorian time. The epicenter, about twenty kilometers inland, tore apart the surrounding countryside, tearing large chasms and crevices throughout the land. The earthquake, an estimated 7.7 in scale, is the largest to hit the country in nearly two centuries following the Ine Sherine quake of 1829 that destroyed the ancient elven city and killed 20,000 civilians.

Suburban home collapse near He’kir

The residential sector of He’kir, noted for its sprawling skyscraper blocks, looks to be a shattered remnant of its old self. Several towers have capsized, while several other towers shook so violently, their top halves fell over, resting against other towers.

The Monarchy has called a State of Emergency, freeing up emergency fundings to aid in rescue operations. Queen Maeralya has also authorized National Guard and elements of the Eternal Forces’ First and Thirteenth Army Divisions to secure and stabilize the city while evacuating civilians from areas of the city that have collapsed. He’kir has since been put under direct authority of the Queen, a rarity in modern times. The Mayor, Alba Morath, will be directing emergency services in the interim.

Local Hospitals have reported an overwhelming surge of emergency department visits, compliments of the deadly quake. The Thirteenth Army Division will be providing makeshift beds and administer first-aid to injured civilians deemed not to need emergency medical treatment. Early death tolls, taking into consideration the time and business of the affected city, are estimated to be in the tens of thousands, ranking among the deadliest in Amador’s lengthy history.

There are several civilian organizations that operate within Amador, most notably the Grey Phoenix’s, to assist with local and federal forces during natural disasters. The Grey Phoenix’s are supported directly by the Second Princess Cylia due to their charitable and humanitarian efforts. Natural disasters are nothing new to the Kingdom, especially in the southern realms of Amador. A colder, more violent area; Blizzards ravage the south in all but a few pockets of land. The Grey Phoenix operate several sizable clusters in the south as a result.

Damage itself was not limited to just He’kir. Surround suburbs, home to tens of millions, also suffered sizable damage, including dozens of collapsed buildings. One ancient Aqueduct system, built in time immemorial and still operating, suffered a total collapse as well, raining ancient Elven Whitestone down upon civilians. Local emergency services have called upon civilian and military aid to arrive.

Princess Cyclia spoke out briefly following the the earthquake, giving her personal and official family statement on the matter:

"It is with great shock and sadness that I woke to hear of these events. My sympathies go out to the thousands of lives affected by this tragedy. In lieu of further condolences, the Monarchy has authorized the Chambers to dispatch military and emergency workers from across the country to aid in safely securing He'kir and to provide assistance. The Arat Navui will be dispacting the hospital ship Resolute and Cardente to assistance overwhelmed medical center. Furthermore, I will be personally travelling to the city within the week to also aid in efforts. The Royal Family will be holding a nationally televised broadcast later tomorrow to address the nation and to inform everyone on plans to handle the tragedy moving forward. Thank you, and may the Phoenix Bless Us All..."
