NSFB: It All Depends On The Finale

Postby TJUN-ia » Mon Mar 20, 2023 2:33 pm

Last week, the battle for the Heartland Division and a shot at the Mineral Conference title swung in the favour of one school after another lost their 1st game back in Divisional Play. With Earth Trophy VIII on the horizon, both schools will be looking to make sure some sort of stakes are on the line...but what exactly?

The Trent State Feathercaps lost 17-23 at UCBP and now, they knew that another slip up would basically hand GCU the Heartland title - and Johnny Bridgeford couldn't accept that, not even on his deathbed. They knew that had to keep up the pace by going on the road and beating the Mount Winston Diamond Hogs - and that is exactly what they did. It wasn't even close here in Gemmisland as TSU managed to hold them to only 3 points all day and their stout defence would see Ridgeciano Jozefzoon run 2 picks back into the house. Jason Steels was good as well, with Catherine Alcaraz-Cortéz (twice) and Mark Scicluna (twice) getting TDs and Eleonora "Firefeet" Scafakou managing 5/6 on PATs and a 45-yard FG in a comfortable performance overall.

Meanwhile, the Green City Royal Eagles had the advantage in this Heartland race after pasting MWU 53-3 but they knew that they couldn't slip up - especially against those UCBP Warriors that refused to die. Everyone, especially Paul Abdullahi, knew that Ryan Benton was going to turn up to The Palace and try and grind out a result that would keep the Warriors in the mix in the Heartland - and they certainly did try as Neal Antonelli found Bonaventure Igueikibe for his only TD with Greg Mead missing that PAT, but hitting a nice 33-yard FG to make up for it. But they were facing the weapon known as Alisha Obi Michel and she would be gunning for OPOTY with her 5 TDs - 3 to Carlton McSwane and 1 each for Batsogile Lovederia and Stella Oshoala - with Glory Oparanozie going 4/5 on PATs and also hitting a 34-yard FG. 37-9 set a statement of intent before they must head down to Notts next week.

And so...here we are. Sherwood Field, the Horseshoe, will host Erath Trophy VII...one in which the Heartland Division will be decided. If GCU win, they will go to the Championship game. If TSU win, then PD and all the other tiebreakers will decide both schools' fates. This title is heading back to TJUN-ia no matter what...the question is, who will go one to fight for a playoff spot? And who will have their fate decided in the OOC? One game will say it all...see you next week.

Myana Conference Title Game: Myana Northwestern High School @ Anchors Academy

Conference Summary: Ever since Myana Northwestern fell to Navy Academy High School in Matchday Five, they've been on a mission. Only giving up sixty-nine points in five games, the Blue and White scored a hundred and thirty-nine points. One of the wins was a 30-17 victory over Anchors Academy where they made up for the 14-0 drubbing they received in Matchday 3. Nicole Estera shined in her Junior year, but the best player for the team was Cho Sang-Wook, the Blue and White's workhorse running back. The class of the conference for the season was Anchors Academy, with their core Sophomore trio of Florence Hitt, Nicholas Tessick, and King Jerron; the emergence of Carmin D. Jones as a lynchpin on the defensive end was the piece that they needed. Myana Northwestern's emergence stopped a rather good season for the Anglers, as Senior Outside Linebacker Jeri Attison had an insane season, just to fall short. As for Navy Academy, Myana Central, and Myana Southwestern, it was another season lost in the shadow of the bigger three. At least Navy Academy won five games, right?

Conference MVP: Pier High School Senior Outside Linebacker Jeri Attison (118 tackles, 15 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, 5 interceptions, 3 defensive touchdowns) - A blitzing linebacker who isn't that quick but knows how to get by would-be-blockers, Attison was a menace in opposing backfields. Her instinct for the ball is second to none this season, and her smarts only fine-tune her instincts to another level.

Conference Title Game Preview: These two teams have been on a collision course for a long time, and this will be that. The Blue and White are on a mission - to be the first team to three-peat - while the Victors are the best chance to snap them out of their peak. Look for Hitt to be plagued by Eisdenberg and Kaines - and for Estera to emerge out of her shell as the playoffs begin.

Did You Know?: Myana Central High School, Navy Academy High School, and Myana Southeastern High School haven't reached the Conference Championship Game in the last ten seasons.

6 Limonte High School 10 2 8 230 310 −80
*Academy of the Jungle ahead of Inon School for the Arts due to H2H Result (2-0).

Island Conference Title Game: Academy of the Jungle @ Egren Academy

Conference Summary: Let's start with the upstarts - The Reef, who had a season where they forced fifteen turnovers to help them get the six wins, despite an unusually porous effort. However, by the fact that the Cats swept the Reef, they will stay home. As for those Cats, Linda Goodson's intangibles led the way, with Junior Running Back Yim Jeong-Ba and Senior Wide Receiver Madison Jones being her best weapons. It was their porous defense that also did them in - which is why it came to be that the Inquisitors were the class of the conference once again. See how Freshman Strong Safety Dwight Gisen and Sophomore Cornerback Kang Doon tied them down while the Inquisitors' attack, despite the lack of a proven Quarterback, scored enough points. The Barracudas were hard done by having a Sophomore duo at Quarterback and Running Back, while the Mean Green and the Wheels were a few players short of seriously contending for the title.

Conference MVP: Egren Academy Freshman Strong Safety Dwight Gisen (61 tackles, 9 interceptions, 5 forced fumbles, 3 defensive touchdowns; 4 punt return touchdowns; 2 kickoff return touchdowns) - Gisen contributed in a major way to the Inquisitors' defense, but it was his prowess in the return game that truly set him apart. With a total of six return touchdowns in ten games, he showed his elusiveness, quickness, and ability to read running lanes at a moment's notice. There's some talk that he should transition to playing wide receiver, but he likes hitting people a bit too much for that.

Conference Title Game Preview: The Inquisitors have become the favorite in the matchup. Gisen's return game adds a wild card to the match, and the defensive teeth that they've shown is something else. Don't be surprised if the Cats pull it off, but it should be the Inquisitors establishing themselves as the other Myana Island contender.

Did You Know?: Egren Academy is the only team to start three different players at Quarterback and finish with the best record in their conference. It remains to be seen which of the three will take to the field at the Conference Championship, but it's a testament to the skill of their other players.

Emerald Conference Title Game: Staramara Athletics Academy @ Staramara Tech High School

Conference Summary: Did you know that more people play gridiron football in Staramara per capita than any other city in Chromatika? There is a reason why the Lava are in the area, and the presence of a program like that has only made things even better for the duo of the Battle Angels and the Rangers. The Wights of Block High School of Tor were supposed to be competition, but despite Junior Quarterback Liria Elleron leading some clutch drives late, it was the lack of a defense that did them in. Qet School of Ornithology did as well as they had ever done in their history - led by a high-scoring offense off of the duo of Lee Do-Min and receiver Maya Edinburgh - but going 1-5 in last six games absolutely did them in. Tor High School let in too many points, while Qet High School didn't score enough. Which leaves us the top two - the Rangers and the Battle Angels. Freshman Quarterback Kirai Englefond's mobility helped the Rangers, along with Senior Wide Reciever Ulrich Hammer on the offensive end; Harvey Mo'aho, the Juniot Defensive End from Schima Bas, led the team in sacks. All the kudos go to the Battle Angels, one of the perennial powerhouses of Chromatik High School Gridiron - as Senior Running Back Davis Pill set the pace, Junior Quarterback Mattieu Hancock ran a smooth game, and Sophomore Outside Linebacker Freya Odinsdóttir led a swarming defense. Staramara remains on top.

Conference MVP: Staramara Tech High School Senior Running Back Davis Pill (1,084 yards, 19 touchdowns) - Surehanded, with pristine ball control, good hands, and bruising physicality, Pill was the workhorse of the team, especially when Mattieu was struggling.

Conference Title Game Preview: The battle between the Rangers and the Battle Angels is as old as the Chromatik High School Gridiron System. One of these two teams always represent the Conference, and the 3.7 mile distance between the two is a drive both teams know very well. Expect Freshman Quarterback Kirai Englefond to be tested by Sophomore Outside Linebacker Freya Odinsdóttir, while Harvey Mo'aho will be chasing down Mattieu Hancock. The duo of Pill and Odinsdóttir should, most likely, prevail.

Did You Know?: Maya Edinburgh, the Wide Receiver for the Albatrosses, is going to be a hot commodity in the next offseason. She is good with the ball, away from the ball, and quick to boot. Will she stick with the Albatrosses? Join one of the Qet Schools? Leave the Urrhed Island altogether?

5 Central Tihon High School 10 4 6 210 259 −49
6 Southern Urrheddiao High School 10 3 7 159 212 −53

Silver Conference Title Game: Waves High School @ Tihon Elite Academy

Conference Summary: A conference in turmoil, all started by the fact that Sophomore Quarterback Reece Santos broke his ankle and could not play for the Sand Vipers halfway through the season. Despite Senior Strong Safety Anya Notis playing out of her mind, the Vipers only finished with a 5-5 record. Northern Urrheddiao finished a spot ahead of them based on Head-to-Head record, Laxia Dorran absolutely hammering the ball home for the Royal Purple. Central Tihon Tight End Yevdokiya Trokhymivna Doroshenko may be the best Tight End to ever play in Chromatika, while Southern Urrheddiao will have to wait for Eva Wächtler to grow up. Which leads us to... The Surfers. Cécile Duval, their Sophomore Outside Linebacker, was good, but it was the sudden acknowledgement of the prowess of one Sophomore Quarterback Georgina Sallot that the Surfers prevailed. Tihon Elite Academy still had Sophomore Quarterback Cad Filox and Freshman Wide Receiver Nils Jonke... They're still the team to beat.

Conference MVP: Central Tihon High School Freshman Tight End Yevdokiya Trokymivna Doroshenko (1,319 yards, 113 catches, 18 touchdowns) - A true vertical threat, who can run block? With sure hands to boot? If only her name wasn't so long... She'll be a household name in no time.

Conference Title Game Preview: Can the Surfers really take down the Fog Wall? Rostyslav Illich Kysil roams the midfield for the Fog Wall, which is what Georgina Sallot will have to contend with; the Fog Wall, on the other hand, will run Filox and Jonke at the Surfers. If the Surfers win this game, it'll be the biggest upset yet.

Did You Know?: With Rostyslav Illich Kysil, Niles Jonke, and Eve Wächtler, this conference has four of the better freshmen on the scene. Just wait till they grow up.

*Alnio Academy of the Arts ahead of Flames of the Revolution High School and West Omnio High School via overall H2H Record (3-1 vs. 2-2 vs. 1-3)

Revolution Conference Title Game: Alnio Academy of the Arts @ Vitoron School of Charge

Conference Summary: Mtupeni Onwuatuegwu will not be denied. It doesn't matter that the team lost three games. It didn't matter that there were two receiving threats that weren't even Seniors. No, the Robots would still score 312 points and Onwuatuegwu would show herself to be that hot prospect. East Omnio never had a chance - though Merrill Lyle is exciting - and the Fireworks had the worst season ever. That leaves the Spectrum, the Tears, and the Spectral Monks. How did Alnio Academy of the Arts advance despite having the negative point differential? Kidd Epstein truly shined in the matches against Flames of the Revolution and West Omnio; though the Spectral Monks scored three hundred points and utterly took the rest of the conference by storm, Nyra Pendheim struggled against the two tied teams. Freshman Quarterback Jericho Gustafsson tried his best, but could only go 2-2. So, by virtue of Head-to-Head Point Differential, the Spectrum made it.

Conference MVP: Vitoron School of Charge Senior Quarterback Mtupeni Onwuatuegwu (4,029 yards, 33 touchdowns, 8 interceptions) - the Banijan/Chromatik Quarterback had to will her team in her senior year, not having a single senior wide receiver this time around. She did it, and her legacy will be how she fares these playoffs. Can VSC go any further?

Conference Title Game Preview: The Spectrum are just lucky to be here. They have a negative Point Differential and only made it here by virtue of convoluted head to head tiebreakers. Surely, Kidd Epstein can't contend with the likes of Mtupeni Onwuatuegwu, right? It's time for her to shine.

Did You Know?: The Spectrum took down their rivals, the Fireworks, in a result that sent them to the Conference Championships and solidified a 0-10 season for the Fireworks. It's not that Alnio High School is that bad - they are a squad mostly made up of underclassmen, just figuring out the game. Just give them a few years - and send players like Onwuatuegwu out of here, and see what they can do.

*Wirr Tsi School for the Gifted ahead of Hanai Central High School via H2H PD (+36) after H2H Result (1-1).

Grandmaster Conference Title Game: Hanai Central High School @ Wirr Tsi School for the Gifted

Conference Summary: Three tiers of teams - and they belonged in those tears for a reason. Kim Yeong-Ban shined for Aya K. Jackson, with one of the leading defenses, while the Drills fell from their expected second place finish, losing Senior quarterback Wiles Moray to a broken left leg a quarter of the way through the season. Both of the teams struggled offensively. Air Force Academy broke even, but their defense faltered, as Amy Hallstead the Freshman Quarterback showed she could lead a team, but there were no contenders on the defensive side of the ball. As for the Bears, their surprising run was led by Sophomore Running Back Miles Suyanghar - to fall short due to not having much depth. This means that the Cruisers of Hanai Central make it despite not having many brilliant pieces - the many parts creating a better whole; the only truly made team were, as usual, the Masterminds. They of Senior Quarterback Rudy Sai, Sophomore Running Back Everard Gilstand, and their new piece, Freshman Strong Safety Ryan Leichard. Best offense in conference. Best defense in conference. The only question is, have the Masterminds been tested?

Conference MVP: Wirr Tsi School for the Gifted Senior Quarterback Rudy Sai (4,232 yards, 31 touchdowns, 4 interceptions) - Rudy Sai was the offense for the Masterminds, utilizing all of his various weapons to put together a masterful season. This is one of the teams that are a dark horse to win it all.

Conference Title Game Preview: Hanai Central has no stars. Wirr Tsi School for the Gifted have the biggest star. This is Rudy Sai's chance to declare his intent to win the National Title.

Did You Know?: Both Amy Hallstead of Air Force Academy and Miles Suyanghar of Wirr Tsi Capital School are fascinating stories. Can they lift up their schools to new heights in the years to come?

Chromia Conference Title Game: Chromia School of History @ The Chromatik Institute

Conference Summary: Oh, how far Central Heights has fallen - to be one of two schools to finish 0-10 on the season. They have a lot of work to do. North Chromia couldn't score points - despite Conrad Siolla doing all he could - leaving four to play. In another three-way tie for second place, it was the Knights of Chromia School of History who had gone 3-1 against the other two schools to take the playoff spot - despite not having an established Quarterback. South Chromia will be mad that they couldn't put together another win among their common matches - George Reed is a great prospect. As for the Chessmen, they had a great defense - and will need some offensive weapons in the years to come. The Knights ad Kellen Hollin and a line led by Ollie Justinian, and that was enough. As for the Dread, it was really never in doubt - and that stingy defense led the way. Carmen Dior at Outside Linebacker set the tone. Raul Sébastien Santos is a fine arm to have, and the dual targets of Jacqueline Fofo and Lenny Rhimes showed up to do their jobs - one as a route runner and sure-handed catcher and the other as more of a speedster.

Conference MVP: The Chromatik Institute Senior Outside Linebacker Carmen Dior (81 tackles, 10 interceptions, 5 forced fumbles, 4 defensive touchdowns) - Not as good in tackling the ball carrier, but excellent in coverage - good enough to handle any running backs, most all tight ends, and even some slot receivers. She'll be a good asset at any college.

Conference Title Game Preview: Another lowest Point Differential among a three-way tie going up against the undisputed conference champion. The Dread's defense is too good - this is where the Knight's story will end.

Did You Know?: Chromia School of History Center Ollie Justinian may be the best Center in the land, and he's a Freshman. With great field vision, run blocking, and pass blocking, he's got to grow in size a bit, but has the intangibles to make up for it. Colleges should make a note of his name now.

Black & White Conference Title Game: Franscesca Larriet-Cortes High School @ Capital District Academy

Conference Summary: What happened to this conference? How did it become so clustered? Besides Facsimilie High School, which will still need to figure things out with their two Sophomores, there were three teams at five and five - the Monsoon, who dropped two games to finish the season - needing to grow as well, the Darkness, who have only one real weapon, and the Naysayers, also with lots of key underclassmen as weapons. They all need to grow, while Franscesca Larriet-Cortes high School has a trio of Seniors in Quarterback Noah Sellers, Running Back Isidore Kraut, and Kicker Evan Wakes. Their time is now - but they'll miss out on hosting the title game due to losing on the last day to Capital District Academy. The Regiment's Senior Cornerback, Reed Rick, had two interceptions and five pass breakups on the game, as the Regiment has been led all season long by their defense. It's not that the conference struggled - it's more that the conference had too many good teams.

Conference MVP: Capital District Academy Senior Cornerback Reed Rick (75 tackles, 5 forced fumbles, 8 interceptions, 4 defensive touchdowns) - Rick is dangerous both in coverage and on cornerback blitzes, something that the Regiment love to employ. His tackling ability is solid for a cornerback, meaning he can take down any running back in space, something that most of the secondary cannot even dream of.

Conference Title Game Preview: It's spear versus shield, and it's going to be close. Sellers, Kraut, and Pam go up against Rick and company, meaning it's all going to be up to what Merik Hyosal, the Junior Quarterback of Capital District Academy, accomplishes with the chances given. If Hyosal can score, the home team can pull this off.

Did You Know?: Edwin Jackson-Jones, the Sophomore Running Back of the Facsimilie High School Enigma, is the fastest player in Chromatik High School Gridiron. How much faster will he grow?

Second Round of the Playoffs

BUSUKUMA, NATIONAL CAPTIOL REGION- Our four Quarterfinal Playoff Games- all on campus!

QUARTERFINALS
Wild Valley University Golden Hornets 21–17 Kabakono University Night Owls
Lesedi University Rhinos 49–16 Islamic University of Busoga Caracals
Kizza I College Cubs 27–31 Aksum State Stars
Zakuta State University Crocodiles 12–0 Hangaza Tech River Rats

We'll section these off by timeslot. All games on Saturday.

Saturday Noon Kickoff
Lesedi University Rhinos 49–16 Islamic University of Busoga Caracals

Do we need to say anything more? It was a complete demolition, from top to bottom. 14-6 after a quarter(admittedly that's not blowout territory), but the score being 28-9 at halftime- yeah, that's when everybody kind of realized this one was over before it ever really got going. It got as bad as 49-9, before the Islamic U scored to make it 49-16, the final score. A stunning score- most would have said the Caracals were favorites going in.

The Rhinos are here, and here to stay. First team to punch their ticket to the next round. They got one more round in 'em?

Saturday 3:30 Kickoff
Kizza I College Cubs 28–31 Aksum State Stars
Zakuta State University Crocodiles 12–0 Hangaza Tech River Rats

We'll start with the Crocs taking on the River Rats. Two schools who are solid at both gridiron and basketball- both qualified for NSCAA 14, and both are in the BCSG Quarterfinals in gridiron. Can't complain about that, right? While it was a low scoring game the whole way around, the defensive effort put forth by Zakuta State was utterly dominant and complete. Putting up a shutout in the playoffs is noteworthy, especially when it happens in a quarterfinal. The Crocs mustered up four field goals- one in each quarter of play. But the River Rats could not muster up any sort of offense at all.

Finishing with just 97 total yards of offense, in a playoff game, even if it was on the road, is absolutely unbelieveable. They only crossed the 50 yard line on one drive, in the second quarter. That drive ended with their best chance to score the entire day, which was a 48 yard field goal attempt- that got blocked, and returned 20 more yards, to set up Zakuta State's 2nd quarter field goal. The Crocs didn't do a ton on offense either, with only 232 total yards of offense, but that's a hell of a lot more than 97. The Crocs looking like USC out there- the #2 seed has reached the semifinals.

Third, we'll have Kizza I College, the preseason favorites to win it all, and sharing this 3:30 time slot with ZSU v. Tech, take on the Aksum State Stars. Led by senior Ranorian QB Dexter Jacobson, they upset their archrivals, the University of Aksum, to win the N-9, and then did so again last week to punch them out of the playoffs. That's smack talk gold for generations to come, eh? But the Stars want to do a lot more than just that. This is a school that has never won a national championship! Sitting here in the quarterfinals, with nothing to lose. It didn't help things when their hot and cold QB, Jacobson, lofted up a terrible pick six on the first play of the game.

The Cubs were up 14-0 after the end of one quarter. You'd think this game was over and done, right? But the Stars were not out of it- not by a long shot. They got three points to start the second quarter. A little lucky there- a Jacobson throw hit a Cubs safety in the chest, but he dropped the easiest of interceptions. The turnover prone Ranorian really got on a heater after that. He threw a huge bomb, a 72 yard TD bomb to his WR1. The Cubs were able to kick one as time expired in the first half, but only being down 17-10 wasn't bad.

The second half would be the Jacobson show. He'd lead his team down the field. The prototype pocket passer has next to no mobility, but he's got an absolute laser cannon for an arm- and was launching darts all over the field. He led a drive to tie the game, with a brilliant, back shoulder throw on 3rd and 8 from the 17 yard line. First tie of the game since it was knotted up at zeroes, as the score was 17-17. The Cubs were able to kick another field goal, to make it 20-17, but it was on for the Stars at that point.

They would score TDs on their next two drives- one to end the third quarter, and another long one, in the fourth quarter. The third quarter drive was defined by Dexter Jacobson- hitting a 3rd and 10 for a 42 yard post route is always a good sign. The Stars HB eventually punched it in from 3 yard out to give the Stars their first lead of the game, 24-20. And after forcing a punt, the Stars went on a long drive- 13 plays, 87 yards, that took 6:11 off of the clock. The exact type of drive you love to see by an underdog trying to put the game on ice- and they did that, with Jacobson scoring on a QB sneak on second and goal.

31-20. What a lead. Nantambu would get his team to score with under four minutes left- and convert the 2PC, to make it 31-28. But the Cubs kicked deep, and would not get the ball back. The Stars running game(not the school in Aksum known for their ground attack), put the game on ice. Second straight week, second straight massive upset by the Aksum Stars. Can they get to Busukuma?

Saturday 7:30 Kickoff
Wild Valley University Golden Hornets 21[/b]–17 Kabakono University Night Owls

Off for the #1 seed, at night! Wild Valley has been absolutely nuts all season, and they are absolutely a dominant squad in every sense of the word. But they'd have their hands full with a talented Night Owls team. Baka Webo is trying to write himself into the record books for WVU, isn't he? It was a low-scoring, mostly defensive contest. Hell, Webo was just 20-35 passing, not the greatest completion percentage. But he did well- no turnovers, a pair of TDs, and despite "only" throwing for 211 on 35 passing attempts, he was able to do enough to stave off the comeback, and win this game.

He made his usual ridiculous throws. Webo, in particular, had one great throw. A 3rd and 12 from the Kabakono 24 yard line, 4 minutes left, down 17-14. Escapes pressure, makes a brilliant low throw to his WR2, for 10 yards. Puts them in position to go for it- which was successful. Risky on fourth and 2- but the coach has all the trust in Webo. The RPO was brilliant, as he took two steps forward and hit his slot receiver in the hands, for first and goal. Just two plays later, he was lofting a pass to a wide open Tight End for the go-ahead touchdown.

Nothing's easy at this stage of the playoffs. The Golden Hornets are back in the semifinals! Them and Zakuta State will both be big-time favorites next week- can they both win, so we can have a massive 1v2 tilt in the BCSG National Championship Game? Or are either Lesedi U or Aksum State capable of pulling off what would be one of the most stunning upsets we've ever seen?

NSCF Brief- Northern Moravica retain Sally Trophy with 53-33 win over the Red Elephants

HERZEGOVINA CITY, MORAVICA- NMU's and EVU's gridiron teams competed with each other in two sports this weekend, in Herzegovina City. On Thursday, they took part in a baseball competition. The Cougars, sparked by scoring 6 runs in the third inning, crushed their Red Elephant rivals in baseball, 10-3. And then, two days later, they met on the turf. Northern Moravica, having already won the Savannah Division, scored their 8th win of the season in part of their long-winded prep for the Celestia Conference title game, as their offense rolled over the Red Elephants, 53-33.

"Look- giving up 33 points at home, in a rivalry game, is not something we want to be doing." Said the head coach, Lance Kabuye. Yet, they still won by 20. Their offense is absolutely rolling right now, especially at home. Amira Kong and Balinda Kisero each ran for two touchdowns on the ground, while Felix Strom threw for two more through the air. The Cougars, on a roll with six consecutive wins, will close their divisional slate by traveling to Loyola-Istria for the North v. South Showdown. The Blue Thunder, reeling after three consecutive losses, sit at 4-5 and dead last in the division- a disastrous place to be.

Yet, despite how opposite the seasons of these two schools are, there is still a lot at stake- especially in a rivalry of this magnitude. For Loyola-Istria, the lone bright spot of their season was their away win in Herzegovina City. If they win the return, it'll mark the first time they have gone 2-0 against NMU in the NSCF era. They've never done it- and to do it in this season, of all seasons, would be strange. It might be the only thing that saves Zervos. If NMU win, then they'll condemn Loyola-Istria to having the first ever losing season in Celestia Conference play for either Banijan school. And, of course, who doesn't like a nice road win at the Lightning Yard?

Also, if NMU do win(and convincingly), expect the anti-Zervos voices to start popping up... His road win over NMU this season is the only thing holding him above water right now. If that was swapped for a win over EVU or something.. They'd be demanding his head in Istria.

The Misadventures of Rylan Rodgers
Tidbit 5: No, not the flowers...

Rylan hopped through the doors of Flower Power(ered by THC) with a bit more pep in his step this time - one could be forgiven for thinking it was because his boot was finally off and in the nick of time, the flowers he'd gotten a week before clutched tight in his hand.

"Look, I barely sell flowers, I definitely don't do returns." The shopkeeper crossed her arms with a raised brow, "I take it she didn't like the gesture?"

Rylan shook his head, his untamed dreads whipping about, "Well, after taking the advice of a friend, never brought them to her, she left, and that's that." The star running back extended the now slightly withering marigolds out to the her, flashing that smile once more. "Sooo I figure I'd give these to you instead."

She deadpanned him, looking at the flowers, then up to him. A slight grin started to form. Back to the flowers. A chuckle.

Back to him.

For a moment Rylan wasn't sure if his smile or her attempt at masking her laughter would break first, but he'd be happy to report that he won, and she raised a fist to mask her laughter. "That was really, really corny," she managed to get out.

"I try," Rylan replied, but tilted his head, a bit confused when she took the flowers in her ever-stained-green-hands just to toss them aside.

She pulled him closer with a coy grin, "Alright Butler," but just as he moved to close the distance between them, she pushed him away just as quickly, and in his stupor he hadn't even noticed the weight leaving his pocket. "Wow, no lock on your phone? She must've been more toxic than you let on."

Rylan's jaw has hanging just slightly open now - this was not quite what he was expecting.

"You didn't even ask my name, dork." She handed him the phone back, rolling her eyes, "Call me. Seriously, this was great, but I do have a business to run."

Rylan glanced down at his phone as he practically floated out, Anna, he thought, that's a pretty name.

To Slay A Nightmare:
Governors March On Cold Hill With Sights On Conference Championship Debut

Image

Rylan Rodgers Jr was back in full force against Eastern Ploska, turning in a season high 153 yards and three touchdowns to display he's ready to rock against Cold Hill

Since Richardson University made the fateful decision to promote a Chromatik legend in Kasen Harrowitz to head coach following NSCF 25, this team has been on an absolute warpath. 12-1 in NSCF 26, 10-3 champions in NSCF 27, and now the reigning champions are 8-1 going into a conference slate-defining showdown with a team dangling the elusive Big 8 crown over their heads. That's a 30-5 regular season record over the past three seasons and a huge factor in their number one ranking prior to the start of the season.

One of those losses came at the hands of their arch-rival, the University of Loyola-Istria, in an inspired effort led by ULI's all-time sacks leader in Abram Fairbanks to end a four-game winning streak in the Rebel's Cannon Bowl. Another came in a stunning overtime loss in Swisston last season. The other three?

They've all been at the hands of a Benoit Youngblood-piloted Cold Hill team. Those also account for the only two regular season losses in Dietrich Stadium since Harrowitz took the helm. A 13-3 slugfest in Benoit Youngblood's third career start was their chance to beat him while he was still acclimating to the college game - then they suffered a 30-37 overtime loss in Richardson in week 10, and finally a 20-14 loss in week 3 of this season against the Benolution. All close games, all seeing the Quebecois phenom clutch up in the final act to tear their hearts out. Disheartening, too - Richardson had been dominated by Cold Hill in HC Richard Steinheil's final seasons, and the team's sweeping of them in Harrowitz's initial season seemed to spell and end to that.

So understandably, Youngblood has been nothing short of a boogeyman for the best defense in the NSCF, a generational talent paired with Chris Dale's offensive genius to create the perfect storm against a team that prides itself on defensive dominance. Of course, reigning offensive player of the year is armed to the teeth with elite receivers - Kasozi Batte has been a nightmare to defend with ten touchdowns in just nine games, Darin Sundstrom continues to be a reliable, volume-heavy target, and Enox Silverman has flashed his high ceiling time and again this season with just over six hundred yards to this point. This is college football - most teams have one guy that can cover, two on a good day. When you have this good of a distributor under center, three strong weapons make him nigh-unstoppable.

“Those three wideouts,” he said when asked about his prolific second season, in which he’s on pace to throw for 40+ touchdowns for a second straight campaign, “Kasozi [Batte] is scary, Darin [Sündstrom] gets better every week, and Enox [Silverman]? Kid’s going to be a superstar. Plus,” he laughed, pointing to the team’s second string quarterback, “I’ve gotta keep Viktor Rowles off the field - if I slip up he’s gonna take my job and never look back.”

His modestly aside, fortunately for Richardson this isn't just a battle of offense vs defense. Despite being lost in the talk of elite quarterbacks, sophomore Isaiah Hunter's taken a big leap forward this season - he had to, with RRJ missing extended time. And now that he's proven to the NSCF and more importantly this coaching staff that he can carry the load, the championship winning passer got his running mate back - Rylan Rodgers Jr showed that he is undeniably healthy against Eastern Ploska, submitting his third 115+ yard performance in just five appearances this season, and ran in his fourth, fifth, and sixth touchdowns. The potential he flashed down the stretch as a freshman - knocking in game winning runs to take back the Rebel's Cannon and in the NSCF Championship - is on display once again, and if he can stay healthy for the rest of this campaign, we might just be able to say it's been realized.

And if they do falter against a Buffalo defense fielding just three strong starters? Well, this defense has pitched six shutouts in the last two seasons. Malchiel Lukiwiya will get pressure on the interior, he's racked up six sacks from his defensive tackle spot, and this secondary is chock full of more talent than even this 3-3-5 defense knows what do with.

But you didn't need to know that to understand that this is the singular biggest game of week ten. The top two ranked preseason teams in the NSCF, both clocking in at 8-1. The second best scoring defense and fifth best scoring offense in the tournament. Unlike the North v South showdown featuring a 4-5 Loyola, this game has a division title on the line. Two of the best coaches in the sport, leading programs with three NSCF championship wins and five appearances between them, both coming with the intent of defending a championship from last season. Not to mention the two winningest teams in Big 8 history, with a combined eleven conference championships to their names. And of course, a program that's finally taken the next step taking on the team that's handed them three of their five regular season losses over the past three years.

The table has been set, and these teams are as healthy as they could hope to be this deep into the season - and there's not a true football fan out there who can wait one more second for this one to kick off.

Can you manage to pick up the pieces and figure out how Loyola lost at the Jungledrom via various plays in which they seemingly got increasingly mistake-prone? Ranked 1st through 5th by Egrets fans

ULI MLB Adegoke Omoyeni was involved in one of the plays.
One of the plays resulted in a Li Xuen interception early in the second quarter.
The third-favourite play, as voted by Egrets fans, involved the ULI quarterback.
An ULI wide receiver was responsible for over-pursuing on a punt return.
The unsportsmanlike conduct penalty led directly to the Egrets getting extra yards, which they used for a Kasozi Wampona touchdown pass on play action.
The play ULI-player Zetero Nkakande was involved in led to a Lukasz Matusz punt return touchdown.
The play primarily involving the ULI’s Dennis Zervos placed right next to the False Start on a Field Goal Attempt, according to Egrets fans.
The play that primarily involved an ULI ROLB led to the Blue Thunder not getting the ball back before halftime.
The play that led to a Wampona passing TD and the play late in the third quarter placed back-to-back, as voted by Egrets fans.
One of the plays involved Anne-Maurice Vavayavich making a rushed throw in the Ratzupalfu rain.
The play that occurred early in the 3rd quarter and the play that led to a Zamandi Ayana rushing TD placed back-to-back in Egrets fan voting.
The five relevant plays occurred in any quarter except for the first one.
The play involving the ULI head coach placed right next to the play that led to a Zamandi Ayana rushing TD, as voted by Egrets fans.
Dennis Zervos was primarily involved in the play Egrets fans liked the best.
Egrets fans voted the play where the Blue Thunder overpursued on a punt return exactly one spot ahead of the play where an ULI player delivered an unhelpful late hit out of bounds.
A play involved Cornelius Okech, late in the second quarter.

Valanora Times
One Last Push

5. Mar Sara Tech (Valanora) - Zephyr
The Raiders have been absolutely dominant this season, outside of two games. The first being the first encounter with the Rockets of Raynor University where they were able to come away with the victory in the end, then again against the University of Mancodas from Poafmersia. That unfortunately for the Raiders was a loss and it means that they will need to find a way to win in Raynor City in the Battle for the Royal Saber if they are to make good on this amazing season that they have and get a chance at the conference title game. Because of that loss it doesn't matter that they have one of the best offenses in the NSCF and one of the better defenses, a loss open the door for the Rockets to come in and steal the opportunity for the conference title game, with both Vanorian teams would be looking for a bit of revenge in a rematch against the Mammoths of Mancodas regardless of which one will get the opportunity.

4. Université St. Croix (Quebec) - Woodlands
The best defense in the NSCF and by some margin deserves some recognition in their triumph towards eight wins in the season thus far. Their biggest test is of course though in the last week as they take fellow Quebecois and eight win team in Université du Saguenay, with the winner going to the conference title game much like the matchup between Mar Sara Tech and Raynor University in the Zephyr. That elite defense from St. Croix though definitely should be reason for their fans to have optimism heading into such a pivotal and pressure filled match.

3. Northern Moravica University (Banija) - Celestia
The Cougars have emerged as the premier team in one of the most competitive divisions in one of the most difficult conferences in the NSCF, surviving with but a single loss to their name. They are on their way to the Celestia conference title game but to really put a cherry on top of the season, they can all but condemn Loyola-Istria to a losing season with a win over their Banija school brethren, the harsh realities of a division and conference that is ultra competitive.

2. Cold Hill University (Ranoria) - Big Eight
Rounding out our trio of teams who are playing fellow national rivals for a chance to go to the conference title game is Cold Hill, who gain their spot up here thanks in large part to how they beat the champions Richardson in the first match between the two teams this season. While Richardson rebounded to only have a single loss on their record as well, Cold Hill has been at an elite level that it is almost hard to believe that they actually have a loss on their record.

1. University of Mancodas (Poafmersia) - Zephyr
The Mancodas proved their worth with the sweep of the opposite division and remain the last unbeaten team in all of the NSCF. While not highly touted with the return of the Vanorian schools in the Zephyr this season, the Mammoths have been mammoth in their performance, that conference title that they earned last season was by no means a fluke. While one can argue that their division is quite weak, they are unbeaten with a victory at Mar Sara to their record which is quite impressive given the way the Raiders perform in the Celestial stadium. Now they need only see off a struggling MRI school here in the last week to finish off a perfect record in conference play and with all the momentum you could want going into the conference title game.

San Juan Bautista, San Armando
National Museum of Gran Saguaro History
Presidents Wing

A gaggle of schoolchildren gathered around their tour guide as she led them into a cavernous room with a number of mannequin dioramas.

"Folks, this is the Presidents Wing (generously gifted by Maria and Gil Santos)." She waved her arm to show the kids the space.

"This fascinating exhibit explores all of our nation's presidents, up until...2004, when it was last renovated...it's a great learning tool for you guys to find out all there is to know about our government and its history. Now: can any of you tell me our first president?"

A bunch of hands shot up. "Shout it all at once!"

"Ca-a-a-a-l-l-l-l-ixto Gom-m-m-ezz," they said in unison, in that weird, dead, childlike way.

"Very good guys! Calixto Gómez. The father of our country. Now...can anyone tell me the thirty-fifth president?" No hands. "Aha. So by the end of the day today, we'll hopefully all know the most important ones." The tour guide turned on her heel, and marched towards the first diorama.

***

On a wooden platform, at a wooden desk, sat a mannequin with his pen poised, deep in thought. Signs about him explained the exhibit.

"This is our very own Calixto Gómez—"

"Is he dead?" a kid asked.

"Er—yes, Calixto Gómez has been dead for a while—"

"No, is that guy dead." The kid pointed at the mannequin.

"Oh, well, he's not really real. That's not a real person. That's sort of like a statue, to help you see what the real person looked like."

"Oh." a bunch of the kids turned and started to walk away.

"Wait — what — hey, guys, come back here, what are you doing — ?"

"If it's not the real guy, what's even the point?" The kids wandered over to the exhibit showing Gran Saguaro's second president. "We're going to see if this one's a real guy."

One of the chaperones herded the kids back into the group. "None of these are real — there are no real people in this museum — well there are — but not here — this is a mannequin — can we all say that word? — and these mannequins are just learning implements."

The kids looked at her blankly.

"Okay. Whatever." she turned and pointed at a display case. "These are his real pens! This is a pen Calixto Gómez used in his office. And here is a very, very special paper...it's the first law he signed. It was actually a tax law. But it's pretty cool." she walked around, pointing out different exhibits. "This is his hat — and his coat, which he wore all the time. These are some of the books he wrote, original copies. Here is his pistol from the Independence War — Calixto never really fought in the war, but once the house he was in got attacked by Spanish soldiers, and he shot four of them to death with this gun!"

The kids oooo-ed.

"And here—" she stood next to a lumpy blob shape on a pedestal. "Who can tell me what this is?" She looked around. "Nobody?" No kids raised their hands. "Calixtia! It's a state! Named after Calixto Gómez, who we usually just call 'Calixto'. Now Gran Saguaro is a big country, with lots of states...but this is the most populous one. It has the most people in it."

One other kid raised his hand. "There's a town named after me!"

"Er —"

"My grandparents bought the name for my sixth birthday."

"Wow — cool — let's...move on guys. We have lots to see."

***

"Now, who is this?"

"Calixto Gómez!" one shouted.

"No. Calixto Gómez was the last one we saw. This was his Vice President, Quinto De La Palma. We usually just call him 'Quinto'. Can anyone tell me a cool fact about Quinto?"

Nobody could.

"He was our first Indigenous president! Look at this diorama (generously gifted by the Lottfeld Family). See how it depicts his Native heritage?"

The diorama showed Quinto De La Palma in a similar position to Calixto Gómez, but seated inside an adobe mesa house.

"Quinto was a war hero. He led us to victory in the Battle of Moab, which ended the War for Independence..." she waved a hand at another display case, which featured weapons all monogrammed with 'QDLP'. "Quinto also led the first wars against our large eastern neighbor, while he was Vice President...in fact, he even signed a law while in a tent camp on the battlefield."

A series of paintings on the wall depicted Quinto De La Palma negotiating with Indigenous chiefs.

"Before Quinto, the settlers frequently fought with the Natives over land. Quinto ended this by creating treaties with the Native chieftains — promising they could keep their land, would mostly govern themselves, and receive some help from the government — but they had to pay taxes and couldn't vote. This was very controversial, and Quinto almost got assassinated a bunch of times by many whites who wanted to kick the Natives out, or at least keep them separate — in the end, Quinto was shot by a Native militant who was mad about the taxes thing. He was killed the day after his term ended, because that's when his security protections ended too. After Quinto died, the next president made sure that former Presidents got security details for a long time afterwards. Whatever, okay, lets move on, he really wasn't that important..."

To be continued (I haven't forgotten about my other one and I really will continue this but I ran out of time and had to cut it short)...

The war was beginning to shape up into what both sides could feel was a final stage, an unquestionably unbalanced match between the might of the elves and the never ending onslaught of the demonic legions who worshipped the twisted, foul gods. Perhaps blessed by the gods, but tainted by the power of the blade, Atheron was a soldier of both the light and the dark, a warrior who seemed all but invincible in the field of battle. The blade granted him power that was beyond the craft or call of a mortal being, while the power of the elven gods blessings allowed him the power to wield such a power on the battle field against his foes. On the battlefield, Atheron could cut through the legions like a hot knife through butter, while his loyal dragon mount was more than a match for any foe that the demons could bring forward. Yet there was only one Atheron, and the number of his followers was finite and dwindling. During the long years of war, their numbers had dwindled till only the most savage, cunning, and ruthless had manage to survive to carry the war to demons. It became obvious to all but Atheron and his followers that the war was lost and the world was doomed to whatever fate the demons brought with them.

Kelembor was all too aware of his friend's growing madness and had decided that there was only one thing left for him to do to give the elves and the world a chance at salvation. Up until this point he had respected Atheron's command that had forestalled him creating the vortex, yet with the war lost and the world looking doomed to a bloody end by the demons, there was nothing more that they could lose. Calling upon all of the greatest mages that were still left alive after the many decades of war and assembled upon the Island of the Fallen as the place to begin the ritual. The strongest of the sorcerers within the demonic host sense the ritual as well as the magical barriers that protected the island and quickly moved towards the island and to try to crack through the defenses that were keeping the mages safe from him and his forces.

Recognizing the situation and what was happening at the island, Atheron resigned himself to having to gather his forces to defend the mages despite the ritual having been against his wishes. At the very center point of Althion, the remaining surviving forces of the elves clashed for one final time against the demonic hordes. The elves were not alone, they were assisted by their long time allies in the dragons and en force so large that some scribes say that the sheer amount of dragons and their wings blot out the sun from the skies. With a loud war cry, the dragons descended upon the demonic host, looking to provide the elves whatever cover that they could against a foe whose numbers seemed limitless. On land and sea total war was fought between elves and demonic hordes. The death agonies of monsters filled the sea with a blood tinted foam, dragons plummeted earthward, killed by fatal spells. As the creation of the vortex began, the seas churned and a terrible wind blew from the north, the skies darkened and lightning bolts lashed the tortured earth.

As total war raged around them and the island, the mages continued the ritual and the air produced crackling lighting around them. A thunderous clapping sound erupted from the island and for a brief moment, all was calm. No winds blew through the trees, no sounds of battle filled the air, the feint humming of ancient and powerful spells had been hushed, there was no sound or movement at all. Then it seemed as if the mountains themselves shivered and powerful beams of energy pulsed between earth and sky, from the caps of the mountains themselves beams of of this energy erupted and descended upon the Island of the Fallen. The clouds swirled towards the island, rushing inwards towards a focal point, and then seemed to vanish. The air grew thick and the lungs of every creature within miles grew heavy, finding it hard to breathe. The ground beneath their feet began to split as the powerful magical beams of energy continued to erupt all around them, with chunks of rock and land carried off into the sky as the levels of magic in the area reached unfathomable heights.

Sporting Daily
College Watch: A look at the conference title contenders

Sarim - MRI has chosen not to give the opponents any standing ovation for winning the division title, ahead of the second game of the Kimibatoam Bowl. This would be against tradition, where the teams have given standing ovations against visiting champions of the conference/division.

With UoM winning the first game in the best-of-three series, they are in the clear advantage having a 9-game unbeaten streak in the tournament. With UoM aiming to secure a 10-game unbeaten streak to keep morale high against the conference title game against a Vanorian college (whose identity is unknown at the point of release), they have aimed to secure the local Kimibatoam Bowl title to round off the divisional play. And expecting a usual standing ovation pre-match, UoM was calling on their fans to join the pre-match celebrations. All until the Maximus Rochester Institute team came on record to say that pre-match festivities will not take place. "We have decided to shift all the festivities to post-match. After all, domestically, this match still has an implication on the annual college sports season, and a standing ovation pre-match would be seen as undermining the value of the domestic title," said a spokesperson for the team. While the UoM team has lodged a protest, they also understand the motivation behind the decision, and will not make a huge fuss over the issue. "We think that the move might not be as good, but we understand where they are coming off and appreciate them coming up with an alternative. However, we prefer if such decisions were communicated with us prior to a public announcement," said a UoM spokesperson.

Meanwhile, with the last matchday to come, University of Mancodas has turned their attention to the teams in contention for a conference title, with an eye on the upcoming playoffs. In Zephyr, it would be a Vanorian team on the other side, with Raynor University Rockets still in the race and could take the title with a solid win against Mar Sara Tech Raiders on Matchday 10. The Raiders only came up 4 points ahead, and as such, a win by 5 or more would send the Rockets to the conference title game instead. Next door in Celestia, it would be Banija's Northern Moravica University Cougars against Saint Kayne's Upper Westside University Red Pandas, both teams currently at 8-1 record ahead of the final matchday. Of course the Banijan team would be favourites, having won the home game on Week 5 against the Red Pandas, but the latter has not lost since then and would be looking to secure an upset.

In Mineral Conference, with everything to play for on the final day, TJUN-ian colleges would battle it out for the final divisional title. While the Royal Eagles' 34-16 home win puts them in a head-to-head advantage, Trent State University is no pushovers and overturning that result would put them in the title game. On the other side, it would be New Gesem's University of Alexandroupolis Redbirds up against Gran Saguro's Universidad Politécnica Autónoma del Metro-Boca Rana Zorrillos. The Redbirds hold a head-to-head advantage over the Zoriillos, so the latter has to hope the Redbirds lose a home game against Constantinople University Binturongs (just like how they did in Week 3), and that they have to beat Las Ventosas de Universidad Pública Reserva Cui-ui as well to qualify for the title.

In the Big Eight, Cold Hill University and Richardson University are both up against each other, with a winner-takes-all for the Everless Division. Cold Hill University would be favourites, having won away at Richardson University in Week 3, and holding home advantage for this week's match. Things aren't as clear-cut for Evermore Division, as Bingham Young University head to University of Kiyokonai needing only a win to secure the divisional title, while the other 2 teams play head-to-head and the winner has a chance on sniping the title. In Woodlands, Koronki University of Technology and Computing has the Cosmos Division title firmly in the bag, while Université St. Croix and Université du Saguenay play each other in the other match in Leaders Division with another winner-takes-all matchup. Finishing it all of is Horizon Conference, where Felswyr State University Firehawks and Elanardris Shadow Walkers have confirmed their positions as division winners.

American football pride of Dod Rava.

by Maciek Ciwiński

The Koronki University of Technology and Computing (KUTC) made waves in the NationStates College Football league in their rookie season by winning the Cosmos Division with an impressive record of 8 wins and 2 losses. Now, as they prepare for their conference game, the team is focused on continuing their winning streak and proving that their success is no fluke.

The KUTC football team's rookie season was nothing short of remarkable. Despite being new to the league and the game, the team quickly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with, impressing fans and critics alike with their skill and determination.
Their success can be attributed to a number of factors, including strong leadership, a solid team dynamic, and a relentless commitment to results. The coaching staff worked tirelessly to develop a winning strategy, and the players were eager to learn and execute it on the field.

Now, as they prepare for their conference game, the KUTC football team is focused on taking their game to the next level and continuing their winning streak.
To do so, the team is working tirelessly on improving their weaknesses and building on their strengths. "We are analyzing game footage, studying their opponents' strategies, and developing new plays and formations to stay one step ahead." Said the teams head coach Jeremiasz Koks. He also added that "The team's success is not just about strategy and skill. It is also about teamwork and communication." The KUTC football team is a close-knit group of players who work together seamlessly on the field, always looking out for each other and supporting one another.
This sense of unity and brotherhood has been fostered by the coaching staff, who place a strong emphasis on team building and mutual support.

They know that in order to succeed in the conference game, every member of the team will need to work together towards a common goal, but several players have been standing out as key contributors to the team's success. Three players, in particular, have distinguished themselves as star players: quarterback Bogdan Koper, right tackle Logan Harrison, and left end Dylan Ariza.

Bogdan Koper the team's starting quarterback, has been instrumental in leading KUTC's offensive efforts. With his impressive arm strength, accuracy, and decision-making skills, he has proven himself to be a true playmaker on the field.

Logan Harrison, a freshman from South Newlandia, has made a significant impact on the KUTC offensive line. As the team's starting right tackle, Harrison has played a critical role in protecting Koper and creating opportunities for runs. His impressive strength and technique have made him a hard to stop opponent for defensive players, and he has quickly become a fan favorite.

Dylan Ariza, another freshman, has emerged as a standout player on KUTC's defensive line. As the team's starting left end, Ariza has been a force to be reckoned with, racking up tackles, sacks, and forced fumbles throughout the season. His impressive speed and agility made him a key player and a promising prospect.

As the KUTC football team prepares for their conference game, they are filled with a sense of excitement and anticipation. They know that the competition will be fierce, but they are confident in their abilities and ready to give it their all on the field.

Blake Zuercher PT 7.

Blake's quick recovery from his anxiety induced blackout was remarkable and he was determined to make it back in time for the Conference Championship Game. He pushed himself to get back on the field, driven by the passion of winning such a prestigious event. Despite many obstacles, he was told that he wouldn’t be back until the game with Loyola University. He ignored them and attempted to rush his recovery and well he managed it and he was back on the field, he got back around Wednesday at 12:45 and once he was back it came natural for him to toss the ball. After a while Blake took a break and then he saw Hadley and he quickly walked up to him. Then after a couple seconds Blake and Hadley were discussing how happy Blake was of Hadley’s performance, Hadley had worked hard in preparation for the game. He was happy to have his roommate achieve the success that he managed to grasp. Practice ended sooner than he thought it would, with Blake heading off home ready to honestly relax and take a break for a while.

Blake had just come home after a long day and was looking forward to some peace and quiet. But, Hadley had other plans in mind and mentioned that he would be away from the dorm for a while. After acknowledging the news with a nod, Blake was left alone, so he decided to take a much needed break by laying down in his bed after changing into sweatpants and a BYU shirt. He got a message from Eliza and with a smile he made sure to read the text ASAP, reading “Hey Blake I was wondering if you wanted to possibly hangout at your dorm? Maybe find some movies to watch so you can just unwind?” Blake adored this woman and well his response was a resounding yes, it felt nice to have someone close to him and well to be in a relationship with her and God.

Although they had sex before marriage and broke the law of chastity, Blake did repent and managed to gain a new member for the church and promised to each other that the more intimate parts of their relationship would have to wait. When Eliza arrived at Blake's dorm, they decided on what movie to watch together. To make the experience even better, Blake began cooking some popcorn for them. They were both looking forward to their evening of entertainment and relaxation. With the popcorn cooking in the background and their movie playing in the foreground, it was feeling homey of course and with a quick prayer for the food although it wasn’t really needed but in the end they dug into the popcorn and watched a movie together that was the highlight of the night!

He received a text from his coach to all the players but he ignored it and went back to the move and his girlfriend, but he should have read it and well that text happened to say… “Alright guys, I got off the phone with a couple guys from the UCSA and well the official bid for BYU to host the Big Eight championship game is done and sent to the commissioner. They will announce the host for this game tomorrow from what I know so be ready and.. GO MINERS GO”

Utahn Collegiate Sports Association (UCSA) Bid for the Big Eight title game to be held at BYU

The Utahn Collegiate Sports Association is looking to host the Big Eight title game at BYU's Joseph Smith Stadium. This move will be beneficial for the Country of Utah, as it will bring in more tourists and create a great atmosphere for collegiate sports possibly adding to the list of collges wanting to join the NSCF regular season. Hosting such an event can also bring in revenue for the school, increase its visibility and provide a platform for students to showcase their talents. It will be an opportunity to put BYU on the bigger stage and create awareness about collegiate sports across the country.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters of the Upper Westside University, rejoice. The red hot Red Pandas have just come off their best showing in a conference schedule during their three-season stay in the NSCF - Sequoia Division winner, and the Celestia Conference's best record (9-1), offense (367 points scored) and defense (217 allowed). They will be playing for the conference title against the winner of the Savannah Division, the 8-2 Northern Moravica University Cougars, but it won't be easy as they're responsible for the lone blemish on the Yeezies' record. "I mean, they beat us big," said Red Pandas wide receiver Josh Laney-Seymour. "But we beat the [University of Loyola-Istria] Blue Thunder big, and then the Blue Thunder beat the Cougars big [a 63-7 obliteration in Week 10]. So that means.... it's a pretty even game on paper, I suppose." He laughed. As the team with the better record between the two, UWU decided that they will bust out their all reds - helmets, jerseys and pants - against NMU.

After shocking the international college gridiron community with their 45-3 massacre of the former three-time champs Blue Thunder on Matchday 7, the Red Pandas kept the proverbial ball rolling, winning their next three games (the last one with all starters rested) to complete a sweep of their division opponents. But they aren't letting guard down for the tough stretch ahead, not just the Celestia championship game against NMU but their three non-conference matchups as well. "Two of our fellow division winners - Green City U on Week 11, then Mancodas on Week 12," said UWU head coach Fabio Forelli. The 8-2 Royal Eagles topped the Heartland, while the 9-1 Mammoths headed the Legends Division. "But even as we prepare for these two very tough teams, it would be unwise to overlook the Ceneisis [Naval Academy] Ensigns despite their [3-7] record. They have nothing to lose, playing for just pride. They'll be very eager to play the spoiler, and we can't just allow that."

The Universidade de Soria Bats got one touchdown out of their starting tight end, but other than that, UWU controlled the rest of the game from start to finish.

1Q UWU Okoma 56 run (Ingberg kick) UWU 7-0
1Q UWU Dobler 36 pass from St. Roger (Kick failed) UWU 13-0

3Q UWU Safety, Smith tackled RB1 in end zone UWU 22-7

4Q UWU Cooley 10 pass from St. Roger (Ingberg kick) UWU 29-7

The game against the Hankow State U Honey Badgers started out pretty close, but the Red Pandas outscored them 17-nil in the second quarter to pull away.

1Q UWU Laney-Seymour 66 pass from St. Roger (Ingberg kick) UWU 7-3

4Q HSU Stanley 5 run (Love kick) UWU 34-20
4Q UWU field goal Ingberg 34 UWU 37-20

With the division title having been clinched on Week 8, Coach Forelli didn't hesitate to make the decision to rest Adrian St. Roger, Sam Dobler and the like against the Royal Navy Academy Mariners. The bench players got a chance to showcase their skills, especially quarterback Jed NIghtingale who threw 24 of 31 for 266 yards and two touchdowns (QBR 123.86), and wideout Spencer Cage who had 107 receiving yards and caught both of those touchdowns.

1Q RNA field goal K 28 RNA 3-0
1Q UWU Ashby 50 fumble return (Ingberg kick) UWU 7-3

NSFB: Green Flies In The Horseshoe (Earth Trophy VIII)

Postby TJUN-ia » Thu Mar 23, 2023 11:13 am

And so...here we are. This is what you wanted, right? After epic encounters across this entire Conference and in this Heartland Division we all know by heart at this point, the Trent State Feathercaps hosted the Green City Royal Eagles in Earth Trophy VIII - which would be contested both for that trophy (which GCU defends), but the Division itself.

TSU knew that they had to win this game, and by a big margin at that, if they wanted to go on to the MinCon Title Game but Johnny Bridgeford hoped that his team could pull off that magic TJUN-ians were known for and get the job done over their rivals to the south. They entered this contest on 6-3 (losses to GCU, UPR Cui-ui and UCBP) and hoping that QB Jason Steels could shine on his home turf.

GCU, on the other hand, knew a win would be enough but Paul Abdullahi was never going to underestimate the challenge of a rivalry game on the road, so he was hoping his team could do what they have been doing for most of this season - balling out. They entered this contest 7-2 (losses to UAlexandropolis and UPAM-Boca Rana) in the first season of exciting QB Alisha Obi Michel and those in Green and Black were hoping she would shine once again.

The game at The Horseshoe would end up being one of few offensive opportunities for both sides, but key moments were plenty. For the hosts, the home crowd certainly roared with anticipation whenever their team did something good and Jason Steels managed to find that endzone twice, once each to Yurilka Zelinskaya and Mark Scicluna, with Eleonora "Firefeet" Scafakou managing 1/2 on PATs. Alisha Obi Michel was also doing well in this game and heading into the final 10 seconds of the game, she also had 2 TDs (both via Harrison Jeffers) with Glory Oparanozie also hitting 1/2 on PATs. But the game's decisive moment would come in those final 10 seconds as instead of giving GCU the ball in prime position, Bridgeford opted to punt the ball away and hope the game ended up in OT. "Apple" Jack Stevenson would punt it towards as the clock counted down those 10 seconds...as Freshman Harold Chase lost the ball, picked it up in his own endzone and then proceeded to needle his way through the GCU defence and end up in his won endzone and in the middle of the immediate pile on by his teammates. Chaos. GCU had walked off the game, the Earth Trophy and the entire Heartland. Notts was stunned...as Green City celebrated into the night.

Now, the scene is set for Conference Championship week as the auto-bids into the Playoffs will be decided. GCU has a date with the last team to beat them this season, Los Zorrillos de UPAM-Boca Rana, and on a neutral site at that. Both schools will be looking for a historic Conference title, but only one can claim it. See you next week!

Red Elephants pour water on Egrets’ playoff hopes as Ratzupalfu doesn’t get the literal water pouring

For Ratzupalfu, it was one of the most important games of the year. At 6-3, they had a chance to make it their second 7-win Celestia in three years, in the process positioning themselves in the playoff race. In addition, it was an opportunity for Ratzupalfu to sweep their Red Elephant rivals for the first time since both colleges compete against each other. Meanwhile, the Red Elephants had a chance to throw a wrench into the plans of the Egrets, as well as secure not-last in the division with a 5-5 record and the faintest possible playoff hopes.

Despite being played in warm, sunny Elephant Valley weather, the game was dominated by the respective defenses. Both freshmen QBs struggled as neither managed a touchdown in the first half, and they would only get one each in the second. For Kasozi Wampona, it was his weakest game in a while for the Egrets, as the Red Elephant bend-but-don’t break defense was able to contain Zamandi Ayana, the Egrets offensive centerpiece. Deandre Kelly managed to get a TFL on him twice, playing in his final career Celestia game. More importantly, the linebacking group for the Red Elephants, always a group with major upside, was able to crash down on the run. Look to your left, you see the combined power of the Krause brothers, look to your right, you see a pair of young, hungry Chromatik players eager to impress. All that held Ayana well below his usual rushing totals, and forced Kasozi Wampona to throw the football.
While his talent is obvious, it’s also clear that he has lots to learn. This was evident in the third quarter when he started down Jeremy Jefferson, his star receiver, only to be baited by EVU corner Mustafa Engström, with the Vanorian notching another interception on the play; later, Ranorian corner Charles Raleigh managed to get one for himself as well.
The only touchdown for the Egrets came in garbage time, with the visitors trailing 6-19; as Wampona found Evelyn Barristan for a short out route, before she trucked over corner Desiderata Kelly to take the ball into the end zone. The subsequent onside kick failed, and EVU able to win the game.

On the flipside, Rico Divalles led his team to more consistent yardage. Without the rain, the Egrets defense was forced to defend the pass more than they would like. Despite a monster game for Rafal Duda, the freshman from Dod Rava, who sacked Divalles twice and pressured him plenty after EVU RT Pine went down with an injury early in the game, Divalles was able to work efficiently.
It gets easier with a weaponry like Divalles had at his disposal, and the Egrets secondary, always a weak spot on the team, was entirely overmatched against four great receiving targets. However, the Red Ellies struggled to punch the ball into the end zone; with the field shrinking in the red zone, the Egrets linebackers were able to show their strengths more. On three occasions, the Red Elephants stalled in the end zone and had to settle for field goals; and the lone touchdown came when Divalles found his star receiver Yafet for a 56-yard touchdown after he gained two steps on the corner.

With the win for EVU, they are now 5-5, as they look into the barrel of an OOC slate that went a combined 22-8, even though none of them managed to win their divisions. That only means they’ll be well rested for the OOC matchups. Even if EVU miraculously wins two of these games on the road (and it’ll likely be zero), a playoff appearance is likely out of reach; though a bowl game may be reachable if they win one of the games.
Meanwhile, the Egrets still have the better situation. At 6-4, they are already ahead, putting them before EVU in any non-silly measures. Sure, one of those silly measures, OSPI, is traditionally used by NSCF, but whatever. Anyway, the Egrets OOC slate had gone “only” 18-12, and while the road game in Staramara is a sure loss, there are reasons to be somewhat optimistic for the other two games. In week 11, the Egrets visit Koronki, who went 8-2 on their maiden NSCF voyage; they’ll thus not get a bye week and will take on Saguenay for the Woodlands crown. Sure, Koronki established itself as the best NSCF team in Esportiva, and will be extremely difficult to defeat on the road; but the matchup that’ll see a few players from Dod Rava visit their home country while a few South Newlandians get to host their home colleges is, at least, interesting. The best chance for the Egrets to come away with an OOC win is their week 12 matchup in Ceneisis, who had gone 3-7 in conference play.
Would two wins and an 8-5 record be enough to propel the Egrets into the playoffs? Maybe, but maybe not, with Ceneisis and Koronki not exactly the kind of big-name colleges other colleges will be competing against; in the case of Koronki, at least not yet.

Revenge is not supposed to be something that sits in the minds of Vanorian athletes, it is not part of the mindset that Vanorians are supposed to maintain through thick and thin in whatever they encounter in their lives. Revenge is a tool best used by those who are less upright than what Vanorians tend to view themselves than even if the truth is far more shades of gray than the average citizen from the Eternal Empire might like to ponder or concede. Revenge is for those who had not the strength of arms or talent and skill in their chosen field to get the victory in the first place and thus need extra motivation when presented with a second chance of getting that success where it had first eluded them. To need revenge is to admit failure, to admit defeat, to suffer through those and instead of choosing to grow and learn from those situations, let it fester inside of you and draw you into a dark and desperate place like a flame draws in a moth to its fate. Revenge is supposed to be entirely below the motis operandi of Vanorians, but we know that is not the case when push does indeed come to shove.

The Rockets of Raynor University had been playing in the shadow of the Raiders of Mar Sara Tech for the entire season, particularly after they traveled to Mar Sara in the third week and were turned away in the close encounter by a four point margin thanks to a late score by the Raiders to seal the victory in front of their home fans. Then traveling to Poafmersia to take on the holders of the Zephyr Conference brought another level of difficulty for the Rockets and for the second time in the first half of conference play, they were dealt the bitter taste of defeat by a foe that they thought they were on level terms with and looking to contend with for the conference title. With a roster that is ladened up and down the entire team in all three phases of the game with vastly talented individuals, highlighted by a wide receiving corps that has been described as the best group of players ever to play in those positions to have come through the Rockets program, those sort of defeats leave a lasting impression and bring a little humility and anger to a program that is quite prideful having won the NSCF title recently.

Instead of throwing a fit about the unfairness of the schedule, having those two most difficult games of the conference season be on the road, the Rockets instead pressed on and tried to merely keep pace with the more flashy frontrunners of the conference. The games that the Rockets had were tighter affairs than that of the Raiders, whose high flying offense began to lead all of the NSCF, and the team as a result was receiving far less attention than their rivals to the west. However the team was able to stay within touching distance coming into the last game of the season when the Raiders were going to be forced to come to Raynor City for the second edition of the Battle for the Royal Saber with the Rockets. Perhaps as a result of all the different nationalities that have been in the program for years now, but revenge was definitely on the mind of the Rockets and from the opening kick, there was no denying who would be the victor. A twenty-seven point victory where each of the three starting receivers hauled in a receiving touchdown as the Rockets ran out as thirty-six to nine victors, keeping that vaunted Mar Sara Tech offense quiet, saw revenge extracted and the Saber back in Raynor City, also sending the Rockets to the conference title game.

Who happens to be waiting for the Rockets in the conference title game? Well it just happens to be the other team that Raynor University was felled by in the University of Mancodas, the Mammoths easily besting the rest of the legends division en route to their divisional crown. And yet, despite that easy divisional win and being the holders of the conference title, the Mammoths will be coming into the game having faced their first taste of adversity all season, as MRI was able to upset the divisional leaders on the last matchday when Mancodas had to travel away from home. The Rockets do not get a home match in this series and will have to settle with the a neutral site venue, but yet they now have the opportunity for a second straight week to extract their own form of revenge against the team who gave them the blemishes on their record. This is a program that was able to endure back to back losses to open a season and then never lose a game, the ability to get hit and then get back up and hit back harder is in their DNA. Can lightning strike twice or will the holders of the conference prove that the season away is a bridge too far for even the vaunted talent of Vanorian schools?

Ruthless Efficiency: Buffalo Make It Four Straight Regular Season Wins Over Governors To Secure Big 8 Championship Berth

Image
Benoit Youngblood keeps his eyes downfield after avoiding pressure from linebacker Shean Eckert

Cold Hill's done a lot of heinous things to Kasen Harrowitz's Governors the past couple seasons. They handed them their first home regular season loss of the coach's tenure - after no other team had previously come within 10 points of that feat - they took back the Big 8 throne that Richardson had overcome so much to earn back. They've swept them in two straight regular seasons, injured Rylan Rodgers Jr in the first matchup this season, and now, they've given a team that's pitched six shutouts in the past two seasons a taste of their own medicine.

"I came here to win championships," said Benoit Youngblood after the four-quarter demolition of the NSCF's reigning champs, "I don't want to make a Big 8 title game berth sound trivial, but that's always just been a stepping stone for us. We weren't about to let Richardson of all teams get in the way of that. Besides,” he added, “That BYU game left a sour taste in my mouth. Excited to get another crack at ‘em, and to see how they play with the conference on the line.”

We’ll get to that game later, for now, we have a shutout to summarize.

Whether it was Richardson's flashy offense or their nightmarish defense, no one looked ready to play Saturday. Derek Pierce, Cold Hill's junior inside linebacker and former top ten recruit, put on a career performance with a dozen tackles, three for a loss, and defensive lineman Harvey Klein showed out with a trio of run stuffs and a sack. Sophomore South Newlandian cornerback Nicholas Hussain put on a clinic against the Governors' top receiving threat in Constantina Perrier, allowing one catch on four targets and logging an interception.

But it was Kenneth Bray who really broke the game open on the defense.

The Chromatik senior has always produced pressure galore, but as with many college defenders, those numbers don't always translate to sacks. Hosting Richardson saw some regression towards the mean - against a (perhaps former now) first round prospect at left tackle in Richardson's Maverick Lee, he put on a pass rush clinic, with a career-high three sacks and six quarterback hits total, capitalizing on the time bought by Hussain forcing the sophomore to go through his reads.

It started on the game's opening drive. A Derek Pierce TFL set up a third and long, and Richardson quarterback Isaiah Hunter was forced to go through a full slate of progressions. He stepped up in the pocket to help his tackles out - Lee was washing Bray upfield harmlessly, but he underestimated the veteran pass rusher, who whipped out a nasty spin move and took Hunter unawares, knocking the ball free as he went.

Excellent field position, and Youngblood took it all in one play - poor Takeuchi Ichiko got put on a poster by big Kasozi Batte. Ichiko's been strong all season, perhaps not quite as good as he was in his sophomore campaign, but Batte has gotten the better of him in both of their matchups, and helped the Buffalo take a quick seven-zip lead.

Thing didn't get better. Rylan Rodgers Jr was stuffed again and again as the Buffalo sold out against the run on early downs, relying on their stars to make the plays, and went back to a more disruptive pass rush set when the Governors oh-so-often ended up in third and long scenarios.

That said, it's perhaps not quite as lopsided as it looks on the box score. Many questioned this coaching staff's decision to not pursue a foreign kicker, and they paid dearly for it - Tommy Black missed from 37, 46, and finally 51 in the closing seconds of the first half. If he had gone two for three, they'd have entered the final two quarters with a still-winnable 17-6 deficit. Instead, Richardson opted to go for it on fourth down three times in what would be considered field goal range in the second half, and Cold Hill's much-maligned defense stood tall each time.

The first, it was a Nicholas Hussain pass breakup. The second, Derek Pierce got through the line before Rylan Rodgers Jr had even taken the handoff on 4th and 2, and despite nearly managing to shake the linebacker, the defense dogpiled Rodgers before he got a chance to go anywhere. The third, Isaiah Hunter was forced out of the pocket to buy time, and just as he went to release the ball Kenneth Bray leveled him, the ball floating harmlessly out of bounds as a result.

And of course, Benoit Youngblood put up 31 on the second best defense in the sport, firing another four touchdown passes as he just continues to pile on his career stats. Interestingly, the passing strategy looked a bit different - without even D'andre Fuller in the lineup at running back, the Buffalo have been adopting more high-percentage throws to sort of supplement the run game's consistency as that part of their offense is now completely inept.

All in all, Kasen Harrowitz has gotta be pretty happy that Benoit Youngblood is declaring for the draft - the kid's given him nightmares. And much due to that, the Buffalo are set to take the field against BYU for a second time, this time for a title fight.

"That was the worst game of my career," Benoit Youngblood conceded when asked about his first matchup with the Miners, in which his vaunted offense was held to just ten points, "I'm excited to put on a show this time, one last Big 8 game with my brothers." The NSCF 27 offensive player of the year has looked unstoppable sans that blip on the radar of an otherwise unbelievably dominant career, it's only the second time he's posted a regular season loss in the first place. And really, as exciting a win as it was for Miners fans - it wasn't the air show we wanted.

When you've got names like Blake Zuercher and Benoit Youngblood sharing the field, you're expecting an instant classic of a shootout, not a 30-10 drubbing. This time around, expect both superstar passers to come in at their best - even if Zuercher's reported anxiety-induced blackout has some pro analysts worried about his capacity to handle the pressure on his shoulders.

BYU, much like Hankow State last season, has managed to seperate themselves from the rest of an Evermore division that was much stronger overall than it was just a season ago - but can lightning strike twice? Like we said, Benoit Youngblood has only slipped twice in the regular season, and thrice overall in his legendary collegiate career. Can an upstart Miners squad really be responsible for half of his career losses?

No way to find out but to tune in of course - the Buffalo will be looking to make it a record 7th Big 8 championship while the debutant Miners are gunning to get their first in their initial season. Meanwhile Richardson University will get to lick their wounds for a week before their defense is tasked with slowing down a Mar Sara Tech team averaging well over 40 per game. With the conference slate all but over, the NSCF season is just getting into its real drama - don't stop watching now.

Atheron and his beleaguered, outnumbered forces continued to battle the demonic hordes even as the world around them seemed to be exploding. As they did so, the mages continued to try and complete the ritual that they had began to bring salvation to this world. This ritual though, it had brought forth magical energies that were beyond what any but the strongest of the mages had even dared to think up, much less conjure in their own practicing of magic. This magic was too powerful and in trying to harness it, one by one the weakest of the mages began to fall over dead, the life force seemingly seeped away from their bodies and into the magical beams of energy that were swirling around them. As the mages began to fall, Atheron and his mighty dragon steed were slowly being separated from his forces and funneled towards the four commanders of the demonic hordes who had been brought back from their realm after Atheron and Kelembor had banished them at the end of the first invasion of Althion, intent on seeking revenge against the elf who had dared to topple them.

Such a battle should have been impossible for a mortal, even a member of the elven species, but Atheron had become a vessel of the elven pantheon of gods and wielded a godlike weapon in the blade from the shrouded isle, a blade that was allegedly just a shard of a sword made for one of the gods themselves. One of the demonic commanders stepped forward and began to cast spells towards Atheron, but his magically enhanced shield spilled them back towards the simmering sea and the shattered earth that the battleground was becoming. With a mighty swing of his weapon, Atheron cleaved straight through the demon, once again banishing it back to the realm from whence it came. A second commander rushed Atheron, its body rippled in muscles, and it grasped the elf with a strength that should have snapped him in half like a twig, but the armor he wore was too strong. He did not come out unscathed though, as numerous ribs splintered under the pressure, making the already difficult task of breather more arduous and painful. Pain was no obstacle to Atheron after the many trials he had been through and reversing the grip on his sword, he plunged it deep into the demon's heart, banishing it as well.

Feasting on the blood and souls of the demons seemed to bring the powerful sword to life, with witnesses claiming that they could hear a crackling voice from the sword spewing threats of abhorrent violence towards the demons. Despite his injuries, Atheron staggered back towards the demon commanders, where the great behemoth covered in boils look to bar the way and finally bring the elf to the end of their life. With reflexes that should not have been possible with his wounds, Atheron sliced through the gut of the behemoth commander and from the wound poured out pus, bile, and what appeared to be poison pulsing through its veins. The demon's innards wiggled and attacked Atheron's injured form, reaching out like tentacles and pulling him into the dying gut of the demon. Even as he hacked at the appendages, more appeared to bring him deeper into the innards and his great dragon came to his rescue, slashing the demonic remains away and unleashing a wave of scorching hot flame on the remains, burning them away from Atheron's frame as his armor continued to protect him through the blaze.

This was no heroic victory though, for as the dragon was freeing his rider from the demon's dying frame, the last commander rushed it and with a great heft of its battle axe, dealt the king of the dragon's a lethal blow, the fall of the dragon collapsing over Atheron, pinning his arm to the ground and breaking it. As the commander stood over Atheron's broken form, looking to take the life from him, the High King grabbed his blade with his weak and and with a slash across its midsection, split the demon into two before it was banished like the others who had fallen to the king and his weapon. His body broken, his dragon dying, Atheron looked around at what fate had wrought this day and wept, his first sign of retaining a sense of his nobility for many years. Yet all around him, magical energy still was circling around and on the island, the mages who were strong enough to endure the energies were still chanting, looking to complete the ritual that would seal the magical portal that had allowed the demons to come into this world in the first place.

Siliwihi,
a middle-class suburb of San Armando
225 Cll. Ventura
Living room
Gameday

CALLE VENTURA IS a quiet street of stucco houses. Ignore the barred windows and walled yards — see the children playing football in the park, the elderly walking their dogs, the trees lining the road, this is a respectable, suburban area with a significantly-lower-than-average crime rate and a people who keep to themselves. The houses are mostly white, with tile roofs and manicured lawns. The garages are one- or two-car. There are toys and bicycles strewn about the yards.

One house had an outer wall painted garishly in black-and-white stripes. The grass against the sidewalk sported a black-and-white pinwheel, a black-and-white yard flag, some black-and-white garden gnomes with black-and-white gridiron helmets. A huge flag fluttered from a window — a black-and-white flag that read "UPAM".

***

"Oye, get your fatass over here!"

"I'm coming, man. Hold — give me a second, I—"

"It's starting! The parade is starting!"

On the TV screen, a marching band clad in black-and-white marched onto the gridiron field. They fanned out into the shape of a U...then they morphed into a P...

"Wow, look at this."

"Too bad the Stevensons missed it. They're picking up beer, they said."

"Took one for the team."

The marching band formed into a messy A...then into a slightly better M. From that point, they gathered into a circle and wheeled around.

Someone arrived at the door, and mashed the doorbell repeatedly.

"Yo, they're here!" Gustavito bounded from the couch and raced to the door. He pulled it open — José and María Stevenson hurried past him without acknowledgement.

"This moron couldn't find the entrance to your neighborhood," said María. The two of them sat on the couch. "Is it still just the marching band?"

"It isn't that I couldn't find it, it's that it is, you know, poorly marked, and many of these houses look the same, so obviously if I were trying to design a way for visitors to navigate my—"

"Shh." María realized she was still holding two grocery bags. Without looking away from the TV, she slowly stood up and walked backwards into the kitchen.

The four in the house were likely the four biggest UPAM fans in the country. José Stevenson was the inaugural Zorro. In 1998 he had cooked up a plan to enter the live hog mascot of UPAM's biggest rival, City College San Armando, into the transfer portal. It worked, and the pig was technically enrolled at UPAM until the administrators suspended him and scrubbed the record. He married María upon his graduation — she was a sophomore star volleyball player, eventually sidelined by a leg injury which forced her to go into accounting. María chaired the U.P.A.M. Alumni Association three different times.

Gustavito Peña-Palm was a computer scientist, who owned the house — he had season tickets to every sports team, and has never missed watching a UPAM gridiron game. Gustavito's great-great-grandfather was in the first graduating class, of only seven people. Every member of the Peña family has graduated from UPAM — except his great-uncle, who went to City College and was cut from the will. And Jaume was eating pizza on the couch. He was the least-enthusiastic fan, a one-time frat boy who was laughed out cause he couldn't hold his liquor. Jaume was an aspiring tech bro, sleeping in Gustavito's trundle bed. He had a full-face beard and wore his UPAM cap backwards.

"Okay, they look like they're starting."

"Coin toss?"

"Nah, not yet. They never do the coin toss immediately after the marching band, there's usually an ad break — oh."

"There it is."

"Well. Okay." Jaume dug into the Stevensons' bags of beer. "Dude, this sucks."

"It was all they had."

"Tortuga Light?"

"Oh," said Gustavito. "That tastes like sawdust."

"Okay, shut up — it's on."

"Wait, there's the coin!"

"Shh!"

.
.

"Dammit."
"Shhh!"

Season 10 Champions: Myana Northwestern High School Blue and White (MVP: CB Lisa Bonsoon)

Diamond Conference Championship Game

Tears of the Revolution High School 6-7 Rainbow Central High School

MVP: Rainbow Central High School Senior Outside Linebacker Henri Jefferson (11 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 1 defensive touchdown)

Summary: Coming off of a surprising regular season, the Cavaliers turned in their best effort of the season. Henri Jefferson led the way, including a strip-sack of Andrew Wiggins in the Third Quarter that ended up being the deciding score of the game. The Saints could only amass two field goals, and Rainbow Central High School, who had been picked to finish fourth in the conference, made it to the District Championship game.

Pearl Conference Championship Game

North Sanar High School 20-13 South Sanar High School

MVP: North Sanar High School Junior Cornerback Larry Pinmichael (8 tackles, 2 interceptions, 1 defensive touchdown)

Summary: With Jerome A. Samuelson gone, the Armadillos and the Riflemen played a close, physical, intense game. Pinmichael contributed a defensive touchdown, Skyler Jazmin found Ned Pill up the seam for a go-ahead score, and the Armadillos were stopped on fourth-and-goal from the two as William Brine as Sophomore Defensive Tackle Kala Ryokin was able to stop him. The Riflemen are through.

Rainbow District Championship Game

Rainbow Central High School Cavaliers vs. North Sanar High School Riflemen
@ Hawks' Nest, Lanar, Rainbow District

This is the best chance for the Riflemen to make it to the National Quarterfinals in many seasons - the Cavaliers' Cinderella story has taken the nation by storm, but with the combination of Jazmin and Pill and Pinmichael anchoring the back end, this will be their toughest test yet.

Mining Guild Conference Championship Game

Mt. Niar High School 59–16 Randan High School

MVP: Mt. Niar High School Sophomore Quarterback Dante Flowers (33 of 40, 419 yards, 7 touchdowns)

Summary: Another season, another drubbing by the Anacondas - as revenge for the loss suffered the week prior. Flowers found four different targets in the end zone - three of them to Earl Silverman, his best target - and the Anacondas simply blitzed over the Rapiers. It's no denying that Randan has become the second best school in the Conference, but they've a ways to go still if they are to take on the powerhouse that is the Anacondas of Mt. Niar.

Snowy Fields Conference Championship Game

Brisara Trade School 30–41 Umbar Hills High School

MVP: Umbar Hills High School Senior Defensive End Erik Kessler (9 tackles, 3 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 1 defensive touchdown)

Summary: Another season of the Businessmen winning the regular season and the Grizzlies taking them down in the postseason. Tary MacLauren had a great game, running for 180 yards and three touchdowns, but Freshman Quarterback Ciar Runst struggled with four turnovers, Erik Kessler lived in the Businessmen's backfield, and Umbar Hills ruled the conference once again.

Mountain District Championship Game

Mt. Niar High School Anacondas vs. Umbar Hills High School Grizzlies @ The Frozen Stadium, Felswyr, Mountain District

A rematch of the last time - and the two most established names in the District. Two Sophomore Quarterbacks will try to take the next step when Flowers takes on Pyrehamix; however, it'll really come down to which defense can cause the other team's offense to stumble.

Breadbasket Conference Championship Game

East Shantarr High School 17–27 West Shantarr High School

MVP: West Shantarr High School Senior Quarterback Francine Weiler (19-of-31, 281 yards, 3 touchdowns)

Summary: Revenge is a dish best served cold - especially when your rival has defeated you in the three matchups, including last season's Conference Championship Game. West Shantarr turned the script around, Francine Weiler finding Draven Killjoy twice in the Second Quarter to gain a lead that they would not relinquish. Daemon Argonaut was held to two touchdowns, and with Michael Larson having to leave the game with a concussion, the Scorpions finally got one in on their nemesis.

Dairy Conference Championship Game

Cheonju Korean Institute 27-27 City of Lorentine High School (34-27 OT)

MVP: Cheonju Korean Institute Senior Quarterback San Coreen (24-of-29, 291 yards, 3 touchdowns)

Summary: The Red Devils have always been on the outside looking in. In his best season as a signal caller, Coreen finally took the next step, finding Kim Jung-Beom in the end zone after Reeka Solphim sacked Frank Wing on third down to take the Wizards out of the range of Senior Kicker Jack Aynes. This looks more like why the Red Devils were always considered a Dark Horse at the start of this season.

Heartland District Championship Game

West Shantarr High School Scorpions vs. Cheonju Korean Institute Red Devils @ Riders' Arena, Pùr, Heartland District

Two clubs that have always wanted a chance to represent the District - and one of them will get to. Francine Weiler and San Coreen are both Senior Quarterbacks leading their teams on the final season of their high school careers - and it'll be a game to watch, indeed. Keep an eye on the Wide Receivers, too.

Wildlife Conference Championship Game

East Rhoni High School 20-16 Lhor Central High School

MVP: East Rhoni High School Senior Quarterback Evan Jerome (20 of 27, 301 yards, 2 touchdowns)

Summary: Once again, the Flying Jellyfish bent but didn't break - both Field Goals scored by the Kayaks were after East Rhoni had reached inside the Lhor Central five. However, Senior Quarterback Evan Jerome did just enough to score twenty points, Lhor Central's lack of offensive weapons cost them again, and the Kayaks moved on to the Coastal District.

Aqua Conference Championship Game

J. H. Yadasky High School 46–22 Coastal Academy of the Arts

MVP: J. H. Yadasky High School Senior Running Back Isaiah Candy (23 carries, 251 yards, 5 touchdowns)

Summary: Isaiah Candy has a tendency to take over in Conference Title Games. He ran for 251 yards over the Sculptures, mostly speeding over the edge, and set the tone. Charles had a decent game, but it was the Heroes' day - as they've done in recent seasons.

Coastal District Championship Game

East Rhoni High School Kayaks vs. J. H. Yadasky High School Heroes @ The Cove, Lhor, Coastal District

An expected pairing according to the preseason polls, but both the Kayaks and the Heroes had to overcome adversity to get here. Evan Jerome will take on Cade Stases, Peter Langloif will have to contend with a roaming Heinrik Dessler. Can the Kayaks overcome this time around?

Myana Conference Championship Game

Anchors Academy 40-52 Myana Northwestern High School

MVP: Myana Northwestern High School Junior Quarterback Nicole Estera (31 of 34, 439 yards, 6 touchdowns)

Summary: Sure, Anchors Academy did score forty points on the Blue and White, as Florence Hitt had a field day. However, Nicole Estera reaches another level when she hits the playoffs - she is now 11-0 - and she utterly picked apart the Victors. Laak Gyles, Cho Sang-Wook, and Jen Hallow all had touchdown receptions as the Blue and White proved that they can actually rely on their offense from time to time. Postseason Estera is scary.

Island Conference Championship Game

Egren Academy 16-16 Academy of the Jungle (19-16 OT)

MVP: Egren Academy Sophomore Cornerback Kang Doon (7 tackles, 2 interceptions, 1 defensive touchdown)

Summary: Sophomore Quarterback Linda Goodson had a good first half - one touchdown and a field goal - but then, the Cats just fell apart. The Inquisitors scored thirteen points in the second half, Carla Vosin stepped up, and the game had to go to overtime. It was there that Kang Doon had the second pick of the game, which set up Mara Toog for the game-winning field goal.

Myana Island Championship Game

Myana Northwestern High School Blue and White vs. Egren Academy Inquisitors

Inquisitors against Blue and White. Does Egren Academy have what it takes to take down the defending Champions? Pikely not, unless Dwight Gisen and Kang Doon can slow down a Nicole Estera in postseason form. Upsets to happen, but definitely don't count on it.

Emerald Conference Championship Game

Staramara Tech High School 46–14 Staramara Athletics Academy

MVP: Staramara Tech High School Junior Running Back Davis Pill (24 carries, 201 yards, 4 touchdowns)

Summary: With Pill controlling the clock, the Rangers only possess the ball for barely sixteen minutes, and are lucky to score fourteen points. The Battle Angels absolutely set the pace with twenty-one points scored in the First Quarter, and by the time that the final frame rolled around, the lead was already at twenty-eight.

Silver Conference Championship Game

Tihon Elite Academy 19-13 Waves High School

MVP: Tihon Elite Academy Freshman Middle Linebacker Rostyslav Illich Kysil (18 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 interception)

Summary: It's a brutal, defensive game, but in the second half, Illich Kysil has back-to-back drives where he takes the ball away. Cad Filox does the rest to get the Fog Wall just past the Surfers, though it's not a very pretty win. The Surfers will be back, though, as Georgina Sallot and Cécile Duval gain more experience under their belts.

Urrhed Island Championship Game

Staramara Tech High School Battle Angels vs. Tihon Elite Academy Fog Wall @ The United Center, Urrheddiao, Urrhed Island

The Battle Angels against the Fog Wall. The class of the Island versus a team that finally made it here. IF the Fog Wall are ot have any chance, Illich Kysil will have to continue to play at a high level, while Filox will have to avoid the ire of Odinsdóttir. Is that likely? Absolutely not. The Battle Angels should return to the National Quarterfinals without much issue.

Revolution Conference Championship Game

Vitoron School of Charge 34–12 Alnio Academy of the Arts

MVP: Vitoron School of Charge Senior Quarterback Mtupeni Onwuatuegwu (27-of-32, 261 yards, 3 touchdowns)

Summary: Onwuatuegwu will be a hard nut to crack this postseason, as Qamiya Parrine and Stephen Marx both score touchdowns - but it's the Charge's defense that stepped up against the Spectrum. Kidd Epstein and Derron Cinder could only generate field goals, and the Charge were never really that threatened.

Grandmaster Conference

Wirr Tsi School for the Gifted 14–0 Hanai Central High School

MVP: Wirr Tsi School for the Gifted Sophomore Middle Linebacker Kiernan Jodunst (21 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, 1 defensive touchdown)

Summary: Hanai Central only generates 198 yards of total offense as the Masterminds just simply take over the game. Rudy Sai finds Everard Gilstand in the flat for an early score, and Kiernan Jodunst, a developing Sophomore, strips Willie Fogg and returns it to the end zone for the final score. The Masterminds head into the District Championships with defensive might on their side.

Capital District East Championship Game

Vitoron School of Charge Robots vs. Wirr Tsi School for the Gifted Masterminds @ The Shock, Wirr Tsi, Capital District

Onwuatuegwu is one of the best talents in Chromatik High School Gridiron. The Masterminds are on of the better defenses. Rudy Sai is pretty good, too... If it's a Quarterback battle, Onwuatuegwu does have the edge. Don't be surprised if the Masterminds to pull this off - they're one of those teams.

Chromia Conference Championship Game

The Chromatik Institute 40–20 Chromia School of History

MVP: The Chromatik Institute Junior Quarterback Raul Sébastein Santos (31-of-35, 376 yards, 4 touchdowns)

Summary: For one half, the Knights hang around the Dread, with Kellen Hollin scoring both of their touchdowns. Their luck runs out in the second half as Sébastien santos and the dual wide receivers of Fofo and Rhimes score twenty-four of their forty points. When did the Dread become the class of this conference?

Black & White Conference Championship Game

Capital District Academy 32-36 Franscesca Larriet-Cortes High School

MVP: Franscesca Larriet-Cortes High School Senior Quarterback Noah Sellers (25-of-31, 392 yards, 3 touchdowns)

Summary: Merrick Hyosal and Noah Sellers played out an interesting Quarterback duel - littered with missed extra points. With three minutes left and the score being at 32-28, Sellers leads the Martyrs on a seventy-three yard drive, capping it off with a three yard touchdown pass to Earnest Pam. The two-point conversion is risky, but good - and needed, as Merik Hyosal is able to lead the Regiment within Field Goal range, but the last-minute pass to Senior Wide Receiver Ross Black falls short. The Martyrs survive.

Capital District West Championship Game

The Chromatik Institute Dread vs. Franscesca Larriet-Cortes High School Martyrs @ Chromatik City Field, Chromia, Capital District

The Martyrs and the District title game - name a better duo. Sellers returns with Kraut and Pam - facing the Junior trio. Welcome back to the big leagues, Chromatik Institute. Let's see how much you've learned.

Only one bid was received for hosting these games, that of Joseph Smith Stadium. However, as this would result in a home field advantage for BYU. The Big Eight and Woodlands Conference committees decided to award the hosting rights to neutral site stadiums in Drawkland for this cycle.

Third Round of the Playoffs

BUSUKUMA, NATIONAL CAPTIOL REGION- Who is off to the BCSG National Championship game at the Stadium of the Restoration! And who will stay home.

SEMIFINALS
#4 Lesedi University @ #1 Wild Valley
#11 Aksum State Stars @ #2 Zakuta State

Saturday 3:00 PM Kickoff
Zakuta State University Crocodiles 38–44 Aksum State Stars

The afternoon kickoff- second seeded Zakuta State, hosting the Aksum State Stars, who are seemingly on a rampage. Zakuta State has been up and down- but their preseason expectations have turned into form. #2 seed entering this playoff tournament, the Crocs are looking to win their third home game in a row to win a world title. They've looked good so far, witha 34-19 home win over H&U, and then a shutout victory over Hangaza Tech just last week- no touchdowns, but no problem, as 4 field goals is a lot greater than zero points. Aksum State, on the other hand- springing up on everyone. Road warriors. Huge road upset over the University of Aksum. And then, they traveled to the home of the preseason #1s, Kizza I College, and eliminated the Cubs in the quarterfinals.

They would play a spectacular contest here in Ankole.

Where do you start with this one? The best place to start is probably the third quarter, when the game was tied at 24 points a piece. The Crocs had ridden their defense to get here. Only allowing one TD against H&U(four field goals though), and pitching a shutout last week, that was why there were huge favorites going into this one. But Dexter Jacobson is on an absolute heater right now. However dominant the Crocs defense was going into this one- dominant no more. That said, the Crocs were matching them, score for score- it was basically a defense optional first half. Only one punt combined between the two teams, around other possessions that ended in scores- 6 TDs, 2 field goals- 3 & 1 for each team.

So we started in the third quarter. Why here? The Stars did launch themselves a long drive- one hell of one. A 17 play, 91 yard drive, that took an insane 9:47 off the clock- the longest drive by any BCSG team, at any point, this season. The drive ended in Dexter Jacobson punching the ball into the end zone on first and goal via a QB sneak, giving the Stars a 31-24 lead. But that's when the Crocodiles really got going for the rest of the quarter. It's all about the big play, right? Their offense was excellent in the first half. But the third quarter, you could use more than an offense. The Crocodiles returned the ensuing kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown. 31-31. And then, on the next possession- Jacobson, who sometimes shows some ugly inconsistency, threw a pick six. 38-31 to the home team, which was the score at the end of the third quarter.

One would think look- Crocodiles are the higher seed, have the lead, have the ball. The Stars have had an excellent season, with great memories- but to play for a national title is a bridge too far, right? Well, this is college football folks. 13:22 left in the fourth quarter, the Crocodiles had a 3rd and 1 at the Stars 42 yard line. Running back stuffed at the line of scrimmage. 4th and 1. You punt it- or go for it, stay aggressive, and try to get the score and ice this game? The Crocodiles went for it. High risk, high reward- but they were stuffed! At the line of scrimmage. QB sneak was stood up, and the Crocs QB much more likely lost a yard.

The Stars were aggressive immediately, with Jacobson hitting a WR 50 yards down field, to set up a first and goal at the ZSU 7 yard line. They couldn't quite punch it in though- the Stars had to settle for a short field goal, to make it 38-34. But the Stars defense stepped up again. After getting stops on first and second down, the Crocs had a 3rd and 6. But that AkSU defense stepped up! 3rd and 6- sack and forced fumble, Stars recover the football at the ZSU 24. They had to struggle. They took 9 plays- but although it was just a 24 yard drive, they were a perfect 3/3 on third down, including a 3rd and goal, 1 yard TD pass from Jacobson to his TE2. The Stars had the lead- 41-38.

The defense was dominant again- forcing yet another three and out, with another third down sack. The Stars running game stepped it up- they launched yet another long drive. This time, burning 7 minutes off the clock, as they kicked a field goal to make it 44-38, with 1:22 left. The Crocs absolutely did have a chance to try and win this game. First play from scrimmage- 20 yard post route. But it was that moment when the Stars stepped up, and showed out. A swing pass to the Crocs HB, who broke a tackle and got a first down. But trying to get extra yards, the Stars LB punched out the football, and the Stars recovered it.

Insane. The Stars have just won three straight playoff games to reach the BCSG National Championship Game. They've never won a gridiron national title- so incredible scenes, back on campus. Can the Stars stun the world and win it all next week, in the capitol?

Saturday 7:00 PM Kickoff
Wild Valley University Golden Hornets 52–28 Lesedi University Rhinos

And now, for Wild Valley. The #1 seed traditionally gets the night game for the semifinals if they make it this far- a celebration, for having a hell of a season. And what has Wild Valley done this season. 13-1, the only one loss team in the country, with the best player in the country at the helm. Lesedi U has stunned everyone all season- they've put together a hell of a team as well. Getting to the semifinals is a very impressive accomplishment- but it was always going to be the Golden Hornets. Their offense is too good, too strong- led by the best player in the country.

How good is Baka Webo, the true sophomore? We'll take you through a pair of radio calls of some of the plays he made- absolutely outstanding performance.

"2nd and 3 from the WVU 48- Webo's in the shotgun. They just gained 7 on the halfback draw. We've got two WRs to the right, two more to the left- and a halfback next to him. We're called a motion... And Webo's taken the snap. He fakes the handoff to the halfback and he's gonna take it himself! He's got the first down... And a spin move! Webo's in the open field! He stiff-arms the Rhinos safety, and he's free! The corner's chasing him, but this QB has too much speed! He's at the 25.. 20... 10... 5... AND HE FLIPS INTO THE END ZONE! It's a touchdown for the Golden Hornets- the 52 yard scamper by the most exciting quarterback in college football! The Golden Hornets now lead, 17-7!"

"The Rhinos have clawed their way back into this. We're here in the third quarter, and it's 24-21- Webo's really got a game on his hands if he wants to take WVU back to the BCSG National Championship Game. They just called a false start- it's 1st and 15 for the Golden Hornets. Webo takes the snap- he sticks it out, and pulls it back. The pressure comes- he spins out of the pressure and rolls right. He's bouncing in the backfield, looking for a WR, and nobody's open. Another guy comes at him- he breaks another tackle! He's still rolling right- and throws a bomb down the sideline... AND IT'S CAUGHT! THE RECEIVER BREAKS A TACKLE! THE WAY WEBO EXTENDED THE PLAY, TIME AND TIME- AND THE GOLDEN HORNETS WILL SCOREEEEEE! TOUCHDOWNNNN WILD VALLEY!"

His stats for this semifinal? Nothing crazy- just 27-35, 387 yards, and 4 TDs- as well as 11 carries for 102 rushing yards, and another TD. Out of this world. There's a reason why he's the overwhelming favorite to win the Player of the Year Award- the only Q is if he'll win it unanimously. It'll be Wild Valley v. Aksum State at the Stadium of the Restoration- which school will win a national title?

Loyola-Istria Head Coach, Dennis Zervos, as the game was ending

It was, without a doubt, one of the strangest games for a neutral observer that the North v. South Showdown had ever been. So many bad records were going to be set by the Blue Thunder this season. And look, it had still been an ugly conference season- 5-5, last place in the division- not a place where Loyola-Istria ever expects to find itself, in gridiron. But this win over NMU- a reeling team on the verge of falling apart, after three straight losses took them to 4-5 and well out of the conference race, and barely hanging on by a thread in the playoff race.

They did not only beat NMU. They completely humiliated them. 63-7 win- Loyola's biggest EVER win over Northern Moravica in this rivalry. The first time in NSCF history that the Blue Thunder beat Northern Moravica twice in the same season. It's rare you get to empty your bench in a game at this level- but Dennis Zervos did exactly that. Every single player on the team got to play, from the highest of starters to the lowest of backups. It was the first time during his NSCF tenure that he was able to empty the bench. And considering how the season had gone- he had just kept going.

Did the third string QB, Zesiro Ssenkaali, need to be throwing long down the sideline on 3rd and 2, up 56-7, basically just for the hell of it? Absolutely not. But Zervos really wanted to get the nasty taste out of the season out of his mouth. All three of his QBs threw TDs(A-MV had four, his backup had one, and his third string had one). It would bring about a number of pissed off Cougars fans- Lance Kabuye stormed off the field, complaining of Coach Zervos 'running up the score' in his arrogance, and refusing to shake Zervos' hand. But the head coach did not care. The win changed everything. Everyone forgot, at least temporarily, that Loyola-Istria were last in the division. They forgot about the losing streaks. Forgot about going 0-4 to the South Newlandian schools. Sweeping NMU was sweeping NMU- and it gave everyone hope.

He was in the locker room now, after finishing celebrating on the field. Obviously he didn't get to shake hands with NMU's HC. But in the locker room, he sent a message to his team. "So many have written us off!! Our opponent, our rivals- we just absolutely destroyed a divisional champion by 56 points. Who's to say what's possible for this team- who's to say what's our ceiling!!" The players roared. It had been a trying time on campus- Loyola was not a fun time if you were a member of a losing football team. Suddenly, professors weren't as nice, you weren't invited to parties or study groups, none of that.

"We made a goal to get to the playoffs- and the path is clear!!!" Zervos roared. "The Celestia Conference title will go to Herzegovina City or UWU- that's temporary. We're focused on us! We've got to crush our rivals and keep things going! Enjoy this win, savor it- and then, we're gonna get ready for the Holy War! We've finally shown what we are capable of- and in this Holy War, Bingham Young is gonna be sent back to Utah with their tail between their legs!"

"BLUE!" The captains yelled.

"THUNDER!" The team replied.

"BLUE!" "THUNDER!" "BLUE!" "THUNDER!"

Zervos was excited. Was this the win that could turn their season around, and launch them towards the unlikeliest of playoff pushes?
