5* QB Bobby Richardson Decommits from Alexandroupolis

December-St. Mary’s High School quarterback Bobby Richardson announced via social media today that he would be decommitting from the University of Alexandroupolis, citing a desire to explore other options before committing to a college program. He had previously been committed to the Redbirds since the start of his junior year at Busiris East, where he played three years before transferring to St. Mary’s for what he said were academic reasons. Richardson led the St. Mary’s Titans to their first New Gesem Bowl championship alongside fellow blue-chip offensive recruits and senior transfers Donald Baker and Louis King.

Richardson declined to give an official reason for his decommitment, but word from his camp is that a school outside New Gesem, possibly Banija, had reached out and indicated their interest in signing him.

Image@VickHamiltonReporter Many were planning on a drop off from potential first overall pick Benoit Youngblood, but the Buffalo quarterback continues to dazzle - he’s leading his team to almost 40 points a game and has cut down on last season’s turnovers in a major way. #RFLDraft #NSCF28

5: Maximillian Marie
Eden, Ranoria

Fullback
Size: 6-1, 230 lb
Handedness: R
Attributes: Tough, aggressive, versatile
Other sports: Wrestling, baseball
Archetype: Blocking
In a nation that prides itself on a tough brand of football, fullbacks still have their place. Maximilian took a big role in his hometown’s offense, taking 235 carries over his final three seasons for more than thirteen hundred yards and 34 touchdown runs. He chipped in when the opportunity was there as a check down receiver as well, but this was a bona fide run the ball offense and he was its centerpiece - usually as a blocker. Effective in pass pro as well, his size allows him to plant his feet to stall rushers or blitzing backs that come free. Tendency to pancake opponents when available - if he’s the lead blocker, you’re getting an extra running back when it comes to wearing down the defense with how hard he hits.

Solid academics, would like to pursue a career in wildlife biology or conservation. Big baseball fan - he's not good enough to play collegiately, but has much to his beloved mother's chagrins tattoo'd the logos of the LPB's Newport Dolphins and Ranoria's Krauts on his left forearm along with his high school team's logo.

4: Matthias Katarina
Dietrich, Ranoria

Tight End
Size: 6-4, 240 lb
Handedness: R
Attributes: Steady, Quick-witted, nurturing
Other sports: Basketball (formerly)
Archetype: Hybrid
Young man with a lot to play for. Became a father at 16 and quit basketball to give himself more time to help on that front, but refused to quit gridiron - this is his way to ensure he can provide financial security to a family he started a bit too young. Very driven, calm player who's rarely going to give you less than everything he has and can be a voice of reason in most disputes. Excellent both blocking and receiving, he's selling out to make football his career - priorities are going to a university which will allow him off-campus housing as a freshman and where he can declare for the draft after three seasons. He's flashed the ability to find holes in coverage - could be a quarterback's best friend, and definitely has room to pack on more size. Probably going to bring his daughter to as many team functions as possible.

3:Ingrid Shevchenko
Norman, Ranoria

Running back
Size: 6-2, 195 lb
Handedness: R
Attributes: Twitchy, Positive, Slippery
Other sports: Track, Dance
Archetype: Dual Threat
Ingrid's been lighting it up in her hometown ever since she stepped onto the high school field, earning six starts as a freshman and taking over the team's offense her sophomore year. She's shown smooth pass catching in her tenure but it was a run-heavy scheme, and she carried the ball over two hundred times in each of her last three seasons to devastating effect. Not often going to run over her opponents, but difficult to bring down and has an ability to fly through any gaps a defense gives her between the tackles.

Excellent academics and the kind of player who almost always has a smile on her fave, Schevchenko has gotten called for excessive celebration a few times in blowout games, but she's not going to do anything to compromise her team's chances of winning.

2: Julian Anneliese
Ranoria City, Ranoria

Edge
Size: 6-4, 255 lb
Handedness: R
Attributes: Violent, Instinctive, Powerful
Other sports: Wrestling
Archetype: Power Rusher
Obligatory Ranoria City Cathedral entrant - this guy has been their superstar the last couple of seasons, and is hoping to get to about 270 pounds by his sophomore year. Has stated several times that he finds it "disrespectful" when teams run to his side of the line, and treats plays like that as such - racked up 63 tackles for loss over his final two seasons. Tends to be as vicious as possible with tackles, be that with putting his shoulder through the other player or tossing them to the ground as hard as he can. Might draw some unnecessary roughness calls - Ranorian defenders often have to be re-trained on that front as they're used to having more leeway on what they can or cannot do. Overall dominant player with a high ceiling and a lot of energy, he'll be an asset wherever he goes.

1: Ragnar Sampson
Port Kruger, Ranoria

Running Back
Size: 6-3, 225 lb
Handedness: R
Attributes: Agile, Star Power, Bully
Other sports: N/A
Archetype: Power Back
Talk about the prodigal son - Ragnar's the son of legendary Elijah Sampson, a 1x RFL MVP and career twelve thousand yard rusher. His father was on track to be one of the best to ever do it before his over usage ran him into the ground, leading to his managing 1,000 yards twice and four yards per carry just once over his final nine seasons. Fortunately for the buyer - Ragnar's fresh! And his father's used his resources to ensure his son is always receiving top-of-the line recovery treatments, and has committed to providing that to the training staff of wherever Ragnar commits to. Capable receiver and absolute battering ram of a running back with jets to turn on if he needs them, there's no going wrong with this kid.

His grades, leadership, on field performance, and off field demeanor are all exactly what you're looking for in a prospect. This kid was raised to be a weapon of gridiron football - who's got a pretty enough scabbard for him?

(OOC: NMU stats and scoring info included upon being given by Banija the green light on Discord to go wild with the recap.)

After their splendid 4-0 start to the 28th season of the NSCF, the Upper Westside University Red Pandas finally get brought down to Earth. The Celestia Conference's number one offense squared off on the road against the Northern Moravica University Cougars and their conference-leading defense, only for the latter to prevail by a 31-19 score. UWU quarterback Adrian St. Roger, who completed 28 of 35 passes for 316 yards and four touchdowns (QBR 142.38) in the team's 46-43 come from behind victory against the Red Elephants of Elephant Valley U, was limited this week to just 16 of 29 passes, 166 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions (QBR 54.67). "They [NMU] shackled us, pure and simple. We were able to get things going at the end, but by then, it was too late. Hopefully though this is just a small bump in the road, and we can continue our journey to make it back to the playoffs, and make it further at that," he told reporters.

The tight defense wasn't the only thing going for the Cougars, however. St. Roger's counterpart, Felix Strom, had himself a monster game with 29 of 39 passes for 332 yards and four touchdowns, two each to wideouts Tyler Geese and Jannik Nadine (QBR 133.71). For the Red Pandas, their bright spot came from the special teams, with Matt Ingberg sinking four field goals, the longest from 52 at the end of the first half, although he missed a further two and got blocked on another attempt.

1Q UWU field goal Ingberg 39 UWU 3-0
The visiting Red Pandas actually managed to score first, but they were limited to three points after a huge tackle for a loss on Dayquan Tramell (whose heroics lifted his team against the Cougars last season), and then two incomplete passes from St. Roger to bring up fourth and long.

1Q NMU Geese 13 pass from Strom (Markseon kick) NMU 7-3
Each of the Cougars' touchdown passes were short ones from the red zone, but they were able to get huge gains before getting there. For example, the play before this 13-yard completion to Geese was a 59-yard bomb to Nadine who was playing opposite him.

2Q NMU Nadine 8 pass from Strom (Markseon kick) NMU 14-3
UWU had the chance to retake the lead, only for St. Roger's potential pass for a first down to Sam Dobler to be picked off by Bojana Rasic Kim. The ensuing drive ended with, you guessed it, a short pass.

2Q NMU field goal Markseon 47 NMU 17-3
2Q UWU field goal Ingberg 30 NMU 17-6
2Q UWU field goal Ingberg 52 NMU 17-9
The two teams exchanged field goals, only for Ingberg to bang in another one before the half ended to cut the deficit down to eight.

3Q NMU Geese 10 pass from Strom (Markseon kick) NMU 24-9
The Red Pandas' drive to start the second half started off well as St. Roger threw a pass to Josh Laney-Seymour for a first down, and then Tramell got another first down by running twelve yards on the counter play. He was given the ball again on the next play, only to be blanketed by a wall of red-clad Cougar players, one of which would cause him to cough the ball up. The Cougars picked up the fumble, and once again went on a scoring drive.

3Q UWU field goal Ingberg 37 NMU 24-12

4Q UWU Cooley 24 pass from St. Roger (Ingberg kick) NMU 24-19
The Red Pandas scored ten unanswered points after that, making it just a five-point game with five minutes to go.

4Q NMU Nadine 11 pass from Strom (Markseon kick) NMU 31-19
But the home team wasn't done, intercepting another pass for almost a pick six. Sai Dutta was pushed out of bounds at his team's own eleven-yard line, but it didn't matter. Strom threw the remaining distance to Nadine, icing the game.

With the result, the two teams catch each other at 4-1, though now Northern Moravica have the advantage on head to head. "That was an ugly loss, but we'll try to find a way to bounce back," spoke Upper Westside head coach Fabio Forelli.

And bounce back they did. Back at the UWU Stadium in Kardashia, St. Kanye, the Red Pandas played host to the Ratzupalfu University of Nature Egrets. Shootouts that ended in nailbiters seemed to be the theme for UWU against their South Newlandian opponents this season, as after beating the Red Elephants by three a couple of weeks ago, they would edge the Egrets by just two points, 40-38. As their acronym implied, RUN relied heavily on the run game; the home team, in contrast, did most of their scoring through the air. St. Roger rebounded from his poor passing night against Northern Moravica, this time completing 31 of 40 passes for 306 yards, four touchdowns and a pick (QBR 121.46).

1Q RUN Ayana 77 run (Han kick) RUN 7-0
Egrets running back Zamandi Ayana showed why he's the undisputed ace of this team, as he powered his way past the Red Pandas defenders on the way to six points. PAT is good, so that's seven.

1Q UWU Laney-Seymour 53 pass from St. Roger (Ingberg kick) Tie 7-7
Later, the home team would retaliate with a touchdown of their own, this one coming on a St. Roger to JLS connection for 53 yards.

1Q RUN field goal Han 36 RUN 10-7
Kevin Han added a field goal to push the visitors ahead by three....

1Q UWU Dobler 61 pass from St. Roger (Ingberg kick) UWU 14-10
.... only for St. Roger to unleash another long bomb, this time to Dobler, to retake the lead by four.

2Q UWU field goal Ingberg 48 UWU 17-10
Then they made it seven with an Ingberg field goal.

2Q RUN Bruce 8 run (Han kick) Tie 17-17
Unfortunately a Calum Bruce run in the red zone knotted things up at seventeen apiece.

2Q UWU field goal Ingberg 35 UWU 20-17
Ingberg made another kick to close out the first half with the Red Pandas up by three. The team's next three scoring drives would end with him, no thanks to Ratzupalfu's tight D.

3Q RUN Matusz 89 kick return (Han kick) RUN 24-20
UWU started the game on offense (they went three and out before Ayana's punishing run), so now RUN would get the ball to start the second half. Lukasz Matusz returned the kickoff all the way to the end zone, enabling the lead to seesaw back to the Egrets.

3Q UWU field goal Ingberg 29 RUN 24-23
The resulting Red Pandas drive stalled, preventing them from regaining control of the driver seat.

3Q RUN Ayana 43 run (Han kick) RUN 31-23
Ayana racked up another rushing TD to help the Egrets pull further away.

4Q UWU field goal Ingberg 31 RUN 31-26
Last week against the Cougar, Ingberg went 4/7 on his field goal attempts. This time he made four again, but missed none.

4Q UWU Dobler 32 pass from St. Roger (Ingberg kick) UWU 33-31
An UWU comeback like they had against EVU started to form. With arms outstretched. Dobler caught a difficult ball from St. Roger in the end zone, and though the play had to be reviewed, the score was eventually awarded to the Red Pandas. The touchdown itself put them up by one, and the extra point doubled that lead.

4Q RUN Fantikos 22 run (Han kick) RUN 38-33
Of course, the Egrets refused to back down. Thomas Fantikos evaded the opposing defensive line, linebackers and eventually the secondary, finding the end zone as cheers erupted from their supporters. Time remaining: two minutes and change.

4Q UWU Cooley 12 pass from St. Roger (Ingberg kick) UWU 40-38
This meant that the Red Pandas had to act quickly. They exclusively passed on this drive, burning up their timeouts and eventually running out of bounds after the catch in order to stop the clock. Some feared that when Jonald Cooley left 45 seconds on the clock, they scored too early, but an Ishrael Carter interception on Egrets quarterback Kasozi Wampona sealed the deal for UWU.

The next game for the Red Pandas (5-1) will be a very big one for them - it's the next chapter in their rivalry against the Blue Thunder of the University of Loyola-Istria (4-2). "We're at home this time, so hopefully that would be a factor," St. Roger said. "And hopefully all our supporters come out, make some noise, and rock the team colors! We'll be turning red, and those ULI guys will be seeing red." The team itself will wear their matching set of red helmets, jerseys and pants; sources say that the visitors will be decked in head to toe blue.

Late evening, third floor corridor of the KUTC dorm bulding.

Both player's pass each other in the corridor, they make a high five and start a short conversation, both are visibly happy to see each other.

Marco Escudero:  "Hey, how are you doing?"

Jacek Kwiecień: "Good, thanks for asking. It's a bit... strange. This place is incredible, but it's so opulent and modern that I'm not sure if I can adapt to this way of living, to be honest."

Marco Escudero: "You have so much and still keep complaining? Come on, friend, stop being ignorant."

Jacek Kwiecień: "I mean, look around this room. It's enormous and looks like a hotel room. I have the feeling as I reside in a hotel in the middle of Rawa instead of a uni dorm."

Marco Escudero:  "Soo... it's too pretty for a farmer boy like you?"

Jacek Kwiecień:  "I'm aware that it's not wise to judge a book by its cover, but..."

Marco Escudero: "But what? Dude, you play American football for this school, you attend one of the top colleges in the nation, and you got a scholarship. Not only will you have something to put on your resume, but you might also thrive in sports; in fact, you are already a great athlete because you caught nearly all of the passes you received."

Jacek Kwiecień: "I guess you are right."

Marco Escudero: "Well, what I wanted to hear was, don't be late for tranning tommorow or Koks will get pissed off. You remember what happened, Raymond?"

Jacek Kwiecień: "Yeah, yeah, I'll be there. I don't want to be running a marathon. Don't worry. By the way, have you heard they are looking for someone to start in some kind of ad campaign for Amica's NSSCRA team?"

Marco Escudero: "What? They have a NSSCRA team? Do they even show that on TV? Man, they aren't finding anyone here."

Jacek Kwiecień: "They weren't showing it on TV but they are now. I saw it on Dodsat the other day. Whatever we will talk tomorrow see you man."

Marco Escudero: "Alright see you tomorrow."

Handicapping the Conference Championship Races

All 8 conference titles were decided on the final day. What a day of action. Let's get to it, shall we? Each game, we'll just zero in on the relevant contests- aka, the games that actually went on to decide who won the conference. Remember, in Banija, co-conference championships are awarded- although, obviously, only one team wins the conference. Tiebreakers go by: H2H wins, H2H point differential, overall point differential, away points scored.

Northern 9

Zawadi University Anacondas 50–27 Central Aksum University Titans
Aksum State Stars 43–38 University of Aksum Silverbacks

On Friday night, Central Aksum traveled to Zawadi University, to take on the Anacondas. Just 1-6 in the N-9 leading up to this game, the Titans were big-time favorites. And it was a must-win in the most important way- a win would eliminate Aksum State from the title race, turning their rivalry with U of A as a chance to play spoiler, to send the title to CAU. That was the only possible result, right? Well, Central Aksum- generally a high-quality team, yes. But one with a tendency to faceplant. Remember their 62-10 loss to the Islamic U in non-con play? Well- this one may have been even worse. Needing a win against the worst team in the conference to keep their conference title hopes alive, Central Aksum flopped in the worst possible way- seeing their N-9 hopes fly into the night sy as Zawadi U dropped 50 on them. Disaster in every way.

"Probably the worst performance, with so much on the line, that I've ever seen from a team playing against a squad with the caliber of Zawadi U." Said Central Aksum's radio announcer. Hugely disappointing for them. But their loss is Aksum State's game. That meant their rivalry against U of A would be a de facto conference championship game. One of Banija's most fun rivalries just added some extra spice. AkSU students this year spray painted a statue on U of A's campus. U of A students held their procession of burning an AkSU flag- this time, doing it at a tailgate just outside AkSU's campus, nearly starting an all-out brawl in the city. Fortunately, one was not started- but what a game we'd have ahead of us.

Everybody wanted to play their best game- and that's exactly what both teams did, especially on offense. Muhoozi Lwazo had a monster performance- 233 rushing yards, and four TDs(3 on the ground, one receiving), as well as 23 receiving yards. 250+ all-purpose yards against your archrival, in a game to win your conference? BDE right there. What an absolute monster. But the Stars gave as good as they took in what has to go down as the game of the year. For every Lwazo rush, the Stars were whipping the football around the field themselves. A 5 TD performance from your senior QB, in his final U of A v. AkSU rivalry game, is a hell of a performance. Is he going pro? Surely not, but who doesn't love that kid?

Let's pick it up in the fourth quarter. The Silverbacks lead by 10, 38-28, with 3:15 left. Aksum State drives down the field. Face a 4th and 15, from the U of A 39 yard line- 56 yards is too far for any college kicker not named Dwayne Markseon, so they've got to go for it. Their QB breaks two tackles, and throws up a prayer- jump ball caught by the tight end, at the 10 yard line. Miracle. Next play, he's throwing his 5th TD pass of the day, to make it 38-35. The Silverbacks should be able to run the clock, right? They've got Lwazo, the best HB in the country. And then- holy shit. Muhoozi Lwazo fumbles the football, recovered by the Stars at the U of A 19 yard line, with 2:33 left.

How rare is that? That was the first time Lwazo lost a fumble in three seasons. And in potentially the biggest game of his life. Absolutely and utterly insane. Ensuing possession. First two passes, incomplete. 3rd and 10- Aksum State's QB scrambles for a 19 yard TD, diving towards the front pylon. You've never seen a stadium explode like that in your life. 41-38. PAT almost goes all wrong- the snap was high. Somehow, Aksum State's kicker picks up the football, and they had somebody peel out that U of A forgot about, and the kicker threw a successful pass to an OT. Accidental 2PC good. 43-38 to the Stars.

The Silverbacks then have the football, with two minutes left. They do their best to drive down the field. But after reaching the 50- the Stars defense clamps down. A strip sack for yet another fumble, recovered by their DE. A fitting ending to one of the most insane editions of this rivalry we've ever seen. Two kneeldowns later- Aksum State Stars fans are storming the field. They've slayed the dragon. Slayed their rivals and won a conference title all at once- and of course, this means playoffs. Lwazo is incosolabe, in tears. Everything you love about this sport, all in one mad day.

Upper Coastal

Wild Valley University Hornets 40–32 Islamic University of Busoga Caracals

#1 Wild Valley, hosting #3 Islamic University of Busoga, for the right to be the Upper Coastal Conference champions. One hell of a game of the day, isn't it? Baka Webo doing his best to get his National Player of the Year award out there, as well. Baka Webo was absolutely dealing in this one. While the Golden Hornets kicked quite a few field goals, he was still at his ever-loving best- 397 total yards(341 through the air, 50 on the ground, 6 receiving) in a matchup between top 3 teams is absolutely a Player of the Year performance if I've ever seen one. Accounting for three TDs, all through the air.

Scoring on 8 drives is a remarkable feat in a contest like this- four field goals, four touchdowns, in a game where the Golden Hornets did not force a single turnover- meaning that they had pretty crappy field position(best starting FP of the day was their own 40). An absolutely incredible offensive effort from one of the best teams in the country. "This is what we are saying here, in Wild Valley." Baka Webo told reporters. "We're the kings of the Upper Coastal- and we want to win a freaking national championship as well. We're the best damn team in this country, and we're going to prove it!"

How did this game end? Not quite the fireworks of the game in Aksum. It was 40-25 with 2 minutes to go, and the Caracals scored to make the score 40-32. They had an onside kick- and the Golden Hornets recovered. The Caracals still had a pair of timeouts, however, so WVU needed to get a first down for this game to be over. And they did it in the boldest way possible. On a 3rd and 9, running one of their bread & butter plays, the RPO- and having it work successfully. Beautiful fake handoff, and then he had the keeper- he was hit about 2 yards away from the first down, but he spun to break the tackle and then dove across the marker. Needed 9 yards- got 11.

There's nobody else who can win that player of the year award, is there?

Valley Interior

North Kitara University Wild Dogs 10–7 West Bunyoro University Tigersharks
Lake Alexandre State University Vipers 20–22 Western Hangaza University Timberwolves
Hangaza State University White Tigers 18–6 University of Loyola-Jinja Ostriches
University of Hangaza Gazelle 37–20 University of Moravica Golden Bears

With a 4 way tie for first place with just one game remaining, and a fifth team just one game back, it makes sense that every single game in Week 11 had title implications. Is this some sickos shit? Yes, but who doesn't love it? Let's work backwards here- what teams played themselves out of contention for a conference title, by blowing it in the final week of conference play?

First, we've got Lake Alexandre State. Could they have actually won it? Being at 4-3, probably not, but not technically eliminated. But they eliminated themselves- losing their fourth game in a row, when the previously 3-4 Western Hangaza Timberwolves hit a game-winning 44 yard field goal as time expired, to deliver the Vipers their fourth consecutive loss, and put them out of their conference play misery. From 5-1 and #5 in the country- now at 5-5 and no shot at the playoffs. Disastrous finish to the season for the Vipers, that will likely see their head coach fired.

Let's look at Loyola-Jinja next. Finally finding their way back into the national rankings, ranked #10 in the country. 7-2, in the thick of things in the conference race. They'd need help, of course- but surely beating Hangaza State to end the year would be pretty easy, right? The White Tigers entered the game 1-6 in conference play. Yet, once again, Loyola-Jinja would pull a Central Aksum- faceplanting on the road, with a chance to win a conference title in their grasp. Their offense was absolutely horrific- 3 turnovers all inside their own 30 yard line, only putting up 154 yards of total offense, and managing just two field goals in a lifeless, 18-6 loss against Hangaza State. Horrific game of football to watch- no touchdowns for either team. The White Tigers got 6 field goals, while the Ostriches managed just two. That's not the clutch gene that NSCF fans would expect from a Loyola campus- although we're sure Lance Kabuye is laughing somewhere(his hatred of all things Loyola extends to Jinja and Busukuma, that's for sure).

Two teams off the list. Now, what about West Bunyoro U? They took on North Kitara, on the road. Early theme so far this weekend- need a road win to stay alive for a conference title race? You aren't going to get it. We're just three conferences into this review, and North Kitara becomes the third under .500 team to eliminate a team from winning their conference. Another defensive battle- this one saw North Kitara triumph, 10-7, over West Bunyoro. What happened? The weather did not help, as they played in a rainstorm. West Bunyoro's kicker went 0/3 in this game, missing all three kicks from under 45 yards(35, 32, 44). Disaster class.

Someone had to win this conference. And all those losses meant that the University of Hangaza v. University of Moravica would turn into a de facto conference title game. Coached, remember, by two twin brothers who despise each other. This time, it would be U of H who would take the victory, as the Gazelle pounded Moravica into the sand, 37-20. The 'basketball school' chants echoed at the University of Moravica from Gazelle fans(admittedly true), while the two coaches, per usual in this rivalry, did not shake hands at the end of the game. Hangaza's coach said the Golden Bears were 'a clown program that could never compete in gridiron at this level' after the game, and, well- he's got a conference championship, and a playoff berth to boot.

Southern Shango

University of Ankole Warriors 17–21 North Ankole University Headhunting Sloughis
Bunyoro A&M University Waterbucks 42-38 Sankt Adelheid University Sea Eagles
University of Loyola-Busukuma Crusaders 6–16 Kizza I College Cubs

With a 4 way tie for first place with just one game remaining, and a fifth team just one game back, it makes sense that all but one game in Week 11 had title implications. Some more sickos shit.

First, let's start with our favorite Busukuma rivalry- Loyola-Busukuma against Kizza I College. The Crusaders, of course, are a bunch of future priests and diplomats- one of the most disadvantaged schools in the entire BCSG, despite, you know, being a part of the University of Loyola system. The Crusaders tried their very best to blow up the Cubs season. If there's any school where the 'one game season' mentality exists, it's this one- Loyola-Busukuma trying to blow up the Cubs season. Of course, Kizza I college are better in every way in this sport. They were able to slowly pull away in an ugly rivalry game, as they won on the road, 16-6, to keep their conference title hopes alive.

There were two teams ahead of Kizza I college in the tiebreakers- the University of Ankole, and Sankt Adelheid. U of A took on their North Ankole rivals, in what is always a fun rivalry to follow and comment on. A theme- is this the fourth 1-6 team to beat a rival at home to blow up their chances of winning a conference championship? Why, yes it is! The Headhunting Sloughis have taken an axe to the Warriors season, by downing them at home, 21-17. This was good for the Cubs, of course- all they'd need is for SAU to lose from here. But how did this Warriors lose happen? The University of Ankole went down 14-0 early, and could never really get back in it. North Ankole was up 21-3 when the fourth quarter started, and the Warriors comeback was simply too little, too late. Hugely disappointing effort.

Now, down to Bunyoro. Huge rivalry between the Teus Catholic school, SAU, and Bunyoro A&M. SAU wins? They get their first ever Southern Shango Conference title in gridiron. An insane accomplishment. But if Bunyoro A&M wins? Then the Waterbucks deliver a conference championship to Kizza I College- but, of course, have the satisfaction of blowing their archrival's shot at their greatest CFB season in school history. And as a reward for this, we got yet another spectacular shootout. Everything on the line- trick plays, onside kicks(Waterbucks kicked two onside kicks- and recovered both!), huge momentum swinging turnovers. Everything you love to see in a CFB game.

How this game ended. The Waterbucks scoring the go-ahead TD with 1:11 left, on a 47 yard TD pass. Insane play as it was. Up 42-38. That was when the Waterbucks attempted their second onside kick of the game. Mad? Absolutely. But this Waterbucks might be the Mad Hatter. "Look, I figured- there was no way they'd expect it. They're freaking SAU- they're never that well coached." And that's exactly what happened. Onside kick, Waterbucks recover, SAU don't have any timeouts left- so the Waterbucks are taking knees. Cubs fans are celebrating all the way back in Busukuma- Bunyoro A&M has delivered them the Southern Shango Conference title in dramatic fashion.

Kuanen River

North Hangaza University Bullfrogs 42–39 Hangaza Tech River Rats
University of Bunyoro Triceratopses 34–20 Bunyoro State University Zebras
Lesedi University Rhinos 25–10 Dodoma City College Warrior Toads

Bunyoro State has a chance to win this if Lesedi and Tech both lose. BSU beat Lesedi, so they'd need to win on a tiebreaker. Of course, all that moot- two teams saw their chances to win the KRC blown up by their biggest rivals on the final day of conference play.

Hangaza Tech has to rue this day, don't they? Admittedly, Lesedi U did beat them head to head, so they held the advantage in the KRC title race. But still- they had a chance to win against North Hangaza to apply the pressure, and could not do it. That meant that the #2 team fell to an unranked North Hangaza squad in week 11. The beauty and chaos of this week- allowing 42 points on the road in a rivalry game is a terrible way to end a season. The River Rats could not compensate- scoring 39 points on the road should be enough to beat anybody. If it isn't, you had some serious defensive problems, and that's exactly what happened in this one.

Next up? Bunyoro State- who were still in this conference title race. A win for them would have put the screws on Lesedi U. But that did not happen. Bunyoro State had their big rivalry against the University of Bunyoro, who were never going to let this one get away from them. In this rivalry, U of Bunyoro debuted, for the first time ever(despite on and off campus protests), a live triceratops(caged) to serve as a mascot. That kind of energy from the Triceratopses was what was needed here, and they took a skewer to the Zebras season, ensuring that Bunyoro State was not going to win anything this year, least of all a conference title. A 34-20 upset win that would cause their fans to storm the field.

That meant Lesedi U was the only team to win their conference title this weekend, before taking the field. Of course, with that in mind, they took on Dodoma City College- historically, one of the worst teams in the BCSG. They won by a score of 25-10, as they try to position themselves for some high-quality seeding- they absolutely want a home playoff game this year. But not just one- why not more than that? Why not 2 or 3? Finishing strong can allow them to do that, and the Rhinos are really the surprise of the season.

Lower Coastal

Mamari University Sand Spiders 41–23 University of Kitara Hippogriffs

It's a virtual conference championship game. The University of Kitara took on Mamari U, on a two game losing streak, to the military academies no less. Look, there's a simple fact of Banijan CFB- if you go 0-3 against the academies, you probably don't deserve to win your conference. And the Sand Spiders proved that on this day, as they eviscerated their top rivals to snatch the conference crown away from them. There's really not much to mention here- the Sand Spiders dominated from start to finish, and the 18 PD proves that- although the Sand Spiders once led by a score of 38-9 in the 3rd quarter of this game. Absolute blowout, what a year for Mamari U- and what a harsh year for U of K.

Sun Valley

Zakuta State University Crocodiles 46–34 Ankole Tech Moose
University of Buganda Long-Tailed Lizards 41–38 Buganda State University Green Mambas

Four 5-2 teams in this conference entering the final day- but they all play each other on the final day! How convenient, eh?

Fantastic high-scoring games all around. The two games kicked off at the same time. The University of Buganda took on Buganda State- another U of B v. BSU matchup on this day. And like the other one, this was an absolutely fantastic matchup. A high-scoring contest, where the Green Mambas and the Long-Tailed LIzards really threw punch after punch at each other. A blocked punt TD for the University of Buganda. A pick six for the Green Mambas. All sorts of crazy TDs, great drives, even some excellent field goal kicking.

But what really matters here, is how this game ended. A 38-38 game, with 45 seconds to go. The Green Mambas did not want OT on the road- so they went out to try and win this game. Driving down the field, trusting their senior QB to not turn the ball over. But then, the Green Mambas QB had a cardinal sin- throwing the ball up, under pressure, into traffic. The University of Buganda safety picked the ball off, and returned it 20 yards to the Green Mambas 45 yard line. And then, the Long-Tailed Lizards drew up a beautiful post route, completing one for 33 yards over the middle of the field, to make the game-winning field goal attempt a 29 yard chip shot field goal. That's what happened- and U of Buganda had won on the day.

Their win was good news for Zakuta State- all they'd need to do was triumph over Ankole Tech, and boom- the conference would be theirs. And while things were not necessarily easy, with Ankole Tech throwing haymakers left and right, the Crocs were eventually able to triumph. The Moose QB absolutely drew lots of eyeballs. Natalio Natividad, the son of Faroleran refugees, was going wild- over 400 yards passing and 5 TDs, as Tech was throwing everything they had at getting this upset. But the Crocodiles were simply too strong. In a game that was 39-34 with under a minute left, Ankole Tech had a chance to win the game. Natividad was driving his team down the field, and with 20 seconds left, got to the Zakuta State 17 yard line. But- under pressure, the true freshman made a terrible read. Jumped route, picked off, 92 yards to the house. 46-34 win for Zakuta State- but much closer than the scoreboard says. Still, all that matters is what the Sun Valley Conference trophy says- and it's name will have Zakuta State on it.

Banijan Athletic

University of the Hills Highland Hares 3–13 Ankole State University Killer Whales
Kitara Tech Buffalo 16–36 Tree of Life University Okapi

Nobody really talks about the BAC. And of course- it's an interesting conference. It's the only one that's not geographically bound(although North Kitara U and West Bunyoro being in the same conference is questionable on its own geographically, although we'll talk about that on another date). The actual reason, of course, is that all 8 of these schools just went DI at the same time- so none of them are expected to seriously compete for a national title, let alone win a playoff game.

But they'll be in the postseason- they've got that one guaranteed playoff berth. And that, of course, will go to Tree of Life U. The two teams at the top of the conference both won on this day- unlike teams in literally every other conference, they both won tough games away from home to figure this out. Tree of Life U went to Kitara Tech, and the Okapi rolled on their way to a 36-16 blowout win over Kitara Tech to clinch the inaugural Banijan Athletic Conference trophy. Ankole State, on the other hand, went to the University of the Hills, and rode a dominant defensive performance to a 13-3 victory.

So, with a pair of 6-2 teams, it would be Tree of Life's H2H win over Kitara Tech that would deliver them a conference championship. The Okapi will go to the playoffs- can they shock the world and win a game while they're there?

Note: There has been a slight midseason change to how the playoff field will be selected. With an additional conference, the BCSG has made two additional rules in regards to conference champions in the playoff field. The first, is that the #1 and #2 overall seeds are reserved for conference champions, and that conference champions cannot be seeded #15 or #16. A slight change with serious consequences- it means that you can't have a conference champion be the worst team in their half of the bracket(aka giving them at least a minimal possibility of a home playoff game at some point), and that an at-large team who did not win their conference cannot be guaranteed to have only home games before the national title game.

Of course, the better seeded team will be the home team all the way through the semifinals- national title game is always in Busukuma.

Projected Playoff Field if season ended today - 2 games remaining. Conference champions(who are autobids) are in green.
#1 Wild Valley University Golden Hornets(9-1) - Upper Coastal Conference champions.
#16 Buganda State University Green Mambas(6-4) - At-Large

#8 University of Hangaza Gazelle(7-3) - Valley Interior Conference champions
#9 Islamic University of Busoga Caracals(7-3) - At-Large

#4 Lesedi University Rhinos(8-2) - Kuanen River Conference champions
#13 Mamari University Sand Spiders(7-3) - Lower Coastal Conference champions

#5 Bunyoro A&M Waterbucks(8-2) - At-Large
#12 University of Loyola-Jinja Ostriches(7-3) - At-Large

#6 Hangaza Tech River Rats(8-2) - At-Large
#11 University of Aksum Silverbacks(7-3) - At-Large

#3 Kizza I College Cubs(8-2) - Southern Shango Conference champions
#14 Tree of Life University Okapi(7-3) - Banijan Athletic Conference champions

#7 University of Buganda Long-Tailed Lizards(8-2) - At-Large
#10 Aksum State Stars(7-3) - Northern 9 Conference Champions

#2 Zakuta State University Crocodiles(8-2) - Sun Valley Conference champions.
#15 Sankt Adelheid University Sea Eagles(6-4) - At-Large

First Five Out
Kabakono University Night Owls(7-3)
South Kitara University Sea Lions(7-3)
Central Aksum University Titans(6-4)
University of Moravica Golden Bears(6-4)
Lake Wakiso State Lukwata(6-4)

It's an interesting projection. Taking into account, the new rules. Mostly done to favor Tree of Life- many in the BCSG felt it would be a terrible reward for a first time conference champion, in its first year at the DI level, to take on the #1 seed on the road to kick things off. Remember, each team has one road game and one home game left in non-con- so PLENTY of movement still available.

Wild Valley's the only one loss team left- so them projecting as the #1 overall seed is not necessarily a surprise. Neither is Zakuta State at #2, or Kizza I College at #3- teams that were expected to do well, and are doing well, projected high. News at 10. What about beyond that? The highest ranking at-large team, right now, are the Bunyoro A&M Waterbucks, sitting with two games left, at 8-2. Before the season, you'd never say that. But at 8-2.... They're almost certainly in the big dance now, right? Even two losses(although unlikely) should be enough to put them in.

The rest all makes sense. There are 17 teams with at least 7 wins in the BCSG- and the 17th is an at-large team from the BAC. An at-large team from the BAC will never get in(at least, not this year) due to strength of schedule concerns. So we've got 14 seven or more win teams in. And then, of course, we've got Ankole State. That means we have two 7-3 teams missing out right now, in favor of 6-4 teams- Kabakono U, and South Kitara U. The Q is, why?

Sankt Adelheid have an impressive resume. They've got a road win, at 6-4, over Kizza I College, and almost won their conference. We think that really helps their resume. Buganda State are in a similar boat- in fierce competition for a conference title. As for Kabakono U and South Kitara U... They suffer from perception. The LCC is considered to be having a down year this year, and they are suffering from perception. They could still absolutely get to the postseason, yes- but they'll need to look real impressive in their last two non-conference games.

Behind them, we've got other teams we expected to make the playoffs. Central Aksum- well, we've been through their up and downs. Some impressive wins, yes. But two TERRIBLE losses that could keep them out- a 52 point loss to the Islamic U, as well as a 23 point loss to an awful Zawadi U team, with everything on the line. Those look really really bad. As for Moravica and Lake Wakiso State, they could say they've had tough schedules... But they both lack a signature win on their schedule to make up for that. They'll need to impress in non-con play.

Two more weeks, we'll see 56 schools play their final game of the season- and 16 move into the BCSG Playoffs. Will your school have an opportunity to go to the playoffs and potentially compete for a national title? Or will it end here, in the regular season?

DE George Bolado- Junior at Sankt Adelheid
QB Oladobu Nantambu- Senior at Kizza I College.
QB Baka Webo- Sophomore at Wild Valley.
CB Wanzala Ssemeere- RS Junior at the University of Bunyoro.
HB Muhoozi Lwako- RS Junior at the University of Aksum
WR Olupot Lumbuyé- Junior at Lesedi University
QB Natalio Natividad(Farolera, Farfadillis)- Freshman at Ankole Tech

NSCF Brief- Loyola-Istria score upset win over Hankow State to keep pace with NMU, who cruise to big 34-6 road win

UNITED VIETUSSIA- Loyola-Istria are starting a 4 game road trip- their longest road trip in NSCF history. Their head coach, Dennis Zervos, told reporters that they are not complaining. "We relish the challenge." He told them. "We want to show people what we're all about- and what's a better way to do that than running the Celestia gauntlet?" They started with a historical opponent, Hankow State. It was a fantastic game, from start to finish. But A-MV just made one more play than her counterpart at the end. She orchestrated a game-winning drive, throwing the go-ahead TD to Marcel Schlachter with 32 seconds left to upset Hankow State on their own field, for ULI's fourth victory in a row.

The 24-20 victory saw the Blue Thunder improve to 4-2 on the season, a much improved record after their disastrous 0-2 start with losses to both South Newlandian schools on home soil. Next week they'll travel again, this time to St. Kanye, to take on Upper Westside U- the defending Sequoia Division champions, who just won in thrilling fashion over Ratzupalfu U. They'll play for the newly inaugurated Victory Bell trophy, and both teams in this rivalry will wear their home jerseys- Blue Thunder wearing their dark blue, while Upper Westside go in all red. Our Athletic Director said that the rivalry would show the 'intensity between the two programs, and the respect that gridiron teams have for each other in Banija and St. Kanye.'

Northern Moravica, on the flip side, cruised to a 34-6 over the Universidade de Soria Bats in Lisander. The Cougars were in complete control throughout the entire game, as the only points they allowed were two first quarter field goals. It was a showcase of a defense that is rapidly turning heads. While not matching USC's unreal defensive production, they clock in at third in scoring defense in the NSCF(first in the Celestia), allowing only 14.7 points per game.

Blake Zuercher PT 4.

Blake was elated after the easy win against the IIA football team. The feeling of victory had made him feel invincible and unburdened, so he decided to spend some valuable time with Eliza. Blake found himself enjoying every second that he spent with her as they explored new places to eat and talked about things they both liked. It was a great way for him to forget his troubles and just enjoy the moment. That ended soon enough as he looked forward towards one of the 4 teams left undefeated and well he would have to show up that game and he planned on it, practicing every playbook they had on hand but soon the stress built up on him on the day before the game and well he went to see Eliza. He made sure to fill out the paperwork for him to leave campus although it was free roam campus,he made sure to inform his coach on where he would be staying for the night.

Blake arrived at the woman's house. He took a deep breath and knocked on the door, hoping she would answer. Much to his relief, she quickly opened the door and welcomed him inside her home. Taking a deep breath, he stepped into her house, feeling a sense of peace wash over him. The stress started to slowly leave him as he entered the house. He waved to Eliza and started to talk with her about how nervous he was to go against Cold-Hill, as she got behind him and started to massage his shoulders he laughed and smiled as the tension started to drip away. After a couple hours of relaxing and just talking with her, he did ask if he could use her shower and with a yes he was off to feel his worries wash away… but they didn’t, even after redressing and walking into the guest room he still felt that worry of Hunter ending BYU from the start.

Eliza had knocked on his door and his heart skipped a beat. He couldn't contain the blush that crept up on his face when he saw her. He was mesmerized by her presence and well he looked away attempting to keep it under control and although he tried it wasn’t working, then he felt the weight of the bed shift and he looked up looking at her and well she was mesmerizing to him and well he sat up and soon they shifted closer and closer… there was a kiss and from that point on something (That i would get banned if i described) happened between the two.

Blake woke up the next day with a jolt. He was taken aback by the realization that he had only a few hours to get ready for practice and with the game against ColdHill that night he couldn’t risk being late. Then his eyes fell on Eliza, sleeping peacefully next to him, and he started to remember last night and with that he realized he broke the law of chastity. The mental problems that made their ways into his mind well he couldn’t attempt to process it, so he got up grabbed his things and left after leaving a note for her that read “Hey Eliza, i am sorry i had to leave so soon.. this game against cold hill is just to important and i can’t miss this practice.” Soon he left the house fully clothed and needing to repent before practice.

The Northern Arizona University Lumberjacks have clinched a playoff spot and are currently at the top of Division 2, while the Utah Tech Bulls have put in a failure of a performance to finish dead. Both teams have happened to be on the opposet side of the spectrum with NAU being the heavy favourite to making their way into Division One.

NSFB: Now Both Are Even

Postby TJUN-ia » Tue Mar 14, 2023 3:57 pm

Last week, both of TJUN-ia's NSCF schools made it to the halfway point of the MinCon play with a combined record of 9-1. Now, back-to-back road games for both schools threaten to change that as the race to win the Heartland Division and earn a shot at the Mineral crown heats up across the next 5 weeks. The question is, what will happen to both schools as things heat up fast and the 2nd Act of the games against New Gesem kicked off?

The Trent State Feathercaps had a tough defensive battle last time out but ended up on top against Los Zorrillos 17-3 in the end. Now, Ripper Stadium would play host to their duel with the Constantinople Binturongs, 1-4 under Josh Wilkins, and Johnny Bridgeford knew that it be these performances on the road that would decide fates in this conference. UC certainly put up a good fight in this game with 19 points, with Joshua Gonzales scoring 2 touchdowns (both via Casey Fields) and Juan Foster going 1/2 on PATs but 2/2 on FGs, but the Feathercaps had that overall strength to punish their opponents with ease as Jason Steels scored 5 TDs - 4 to Catherine Alcaraz-Cortéz and one to Yurilka Zelinskaya - with Eleonora "Firefeet" Scafakou going 4/5 on PATs but did hit a 45 yard FG. 37-19 means TSU remains in the chase at 5-1 overall.

The Green City Royal Eagles, meanwhile, were in Redbird Stadium to take on the Alexandroupolis Redbirds, who entered 2-3 under Curtis Decker, with a 5-0 record to their name and all the pressure in the world at that. Paul Abdullahi knew that his team was going to be in the trenches the rest of the way, defending that record they had maintained for this long, but he also had hope that his team could ultimately prevail no matter what. Alisha Obi Michel certainly tried her best in this challenging environment but could only manage 2 TDs (both to Harrison Jeffers) as Glory Oparanozie went 1/2 on PATs and 2/2 on FGs. The real start of the show, however, turned out to be Redbird QB Calvin Cotton who managed 5 TDs on the night, 3 to Francis Baker and 2 to Sean Parker. Clyde Head only went 4/5 on PATs but that wasn't going to stop the local fans from storming the field in a predictable fashion. By 34-19, GCU was unbeaten no more...and the MinCon picture changed with it.

Now, Earth Trophy VII is the only thing that is keeping GCU at the top of the Heartland...and TSU will be hoping to keep pace before the rematch in the Horseshoe. For now, its Round 2 vs Gran Saguaro as TSU travels to face Los Ventosas from 2-4 UPR Cui-ui while GCU must pick themselves up and travel to Arena Mateo Y. Tassis to face Los Zorrillos of 4-2 UPAM-Boca Rana. Both games will be key in determining how both sides feel exiting the Boreal slate, so every good thing will matter a whole lot more from here on out.

South Newlandian High School Recruits – Part 2

3rd: Emma Barbosa, Wide Receiver, Harold Wilson High School (Walstreim)
Barbosa is a quite physical wide receiver. She’s not exceptionally fast, and she doesn’t have exceptionally good hands, either, but she’s pretty good at boxing out defenders, and is also a pretty serviceable route runner. She’s also a pretty good blocker in the run game, which any run-heavy teams will definitely profit from. Barbosa is also pretty tough to take down, making her a decent threat whenever she has the ball in her hands.
Academically, Barbosa has expressed interest in working in education, which could very well be what she focuses her degree on. Having been an excellent student, even at Harold Wilson, she’s hoping to get a top-tier education abroad.

2nd: Zoe Müller, Offensive Tackle, Elephant Valley Southwest High School
Despite being fairly small for a tackle, Müller can easily stand her ground. She’s got what you might call play strength that shows up on tape, even if you can’t really measure it, and she’s excellent at seeing directly through blitz stunts and misdirections. At high school, she played both left and right tackle, with no particular preference; colleges could probably play her at either position. Müller is a better pass blocker than run blocker, where she sometimes struggles to create enough push; but she’s pretty tough to beat one on one on passing downs.
In school, Müller was above average, and is looking to pursue a journalism degree; possibly focusing on sports journalism. She’s also hoping to join a school that will actually put her name on her jersey correctly, with the ü.

1st: Christian-Aaryav Matthews, Left Guard, Harold Wilson High School (Walstreim)
Two offensive players in the top three out of Harold Wilson is a rare outcome, but Matthews absolutely warrants that placement. He’s an absolute tank, but still surprisingly quick and twitchy, something not many players of his size could pull off. He’s pretty good in both pass protection and run blocking, but has struggled mightily when he was asked to play Right Guard – that positional inflexibility could be a weakness. If played at Left Guard, however, Matthews will probably give you about average college starter play.
Matthews was never an outstanding student, and has struggled with different mental health problems in his teenage years. Additionally, he’s prone to becoming home sick; while his dream is to play for a great college, this could be an issue. Academically, he’s just hoping to scrape by with a sports-related degree.

Consistently inconsitent

Heading into the year, it was widely expected that the Red Elephants were going to have a lot of ups and downs on offense. With freshman QB Rico Divalles under center, and a mediocre ground game, the Red Elephants were going to be fairly one-dimensional. If opposing defenses would be able to slow down the Red Ellies through the air, they would probably have an easy time.
However, even the biggest critics probably didn't expect to be so correct, with EVU living and dying by their passing attack.
After a great game one in which Divalles gave EVU their first ever win in Banija, they lost the next two games without scoring a single touchdown. After a good shootout against Upper Westside in which the win slipped through their trunks, they were back to being stuck in the mud, again failing to put up a touchdown against Hankow State. They were lucky to even make it to overtime.
Now, against the struggling Royal Navy Academy, Divalles had arguably his best game of the year. He led the Red Elephants to five touchdowns, throwing for three of them and scoring another with his feet. Additionally, he was able to effectively spread the ball around, completing passes to no fewer than seven receivers. Samajae Dallas in particular had a great game, with the Mariners struggling to bring him down or contain him. Dallas used this to go off for a pair of touchdowns and triple-digit yardage. The defense was good, too, containing the Mariners to a ten points before they scored a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to get the score slightly closer – in particular, outstanding cornerback Mustafa Engström added yet another interception to his tally. Next, Elephant Valley will take a trip to 0-6 de Soria, which smells of a trap game for the Red Ellies – even if they win, they will only improve to 3-4, with the Savannah rematches still upcoming. EVU still holds faint bowl game hopes, but it will be a tough road for the team that is watching the Egrets surpass them.

Valanora Times
Back And Forth

5. Northern Moravica University (Banija) - Celestia
The best of the one loss teams, the Cougars have been quite the force through the very difficult Celestia this season. They do have the loss on their record but they have been joined by some of the best teams in the NSCF with that just past the halfway point, there is absolutely no shame in having a loss right now, so long as it is the only loss that they have en route to a conference title appearance.

4. University of Mancodas (Poafmersia) - Zephyr
There is more than one team unbeaten in the Zephyr and Mancodas is looking to keep ahold of their conference title, which they are doing quite well right now with the way that they are dominating the legends division of the Zephyr. They however must travel to Mar Sara the following week which looks at the moment to be a preview for the conference title game later down the line. Whoever wins this game will have that extra edge heading into that game later in the season, though Mar Sara will need it more to ensure they keep their buffer over Raynor while a win for Mancodas all but seals their spot in the conference title game.

3. Cold Hill (Ranoria) - Big Eight
It keeps on rolling for Cold Hill who get a solid enough win on the road, but the true test for the blue bloods come next week. They travel to take on Bingham Young University, who is leading the other division in the Big Eight with a four win, two loss record but have been throwing up points like it is going out of style, making us reminence for that one season where the Big Eight was basically air raid central. A victory there will be a big step towards Cold Hill getting a stranglehold on the Big Eight and towards a playoff push.

2. Felswyr State University (Chromatika) - Horizon
Well well well, look what we have here, the Firehawks are once more up among the best teams in all the land and have seen their rivals in the Lava brought low. It has to be an extremely good feeling for Felswyr who continues their rampant run through the Horizon with another impressive road win and looks to sweep the cross divisional games with a trip to newcomers Elanardris next week. Normally a trip away from home would be seen as a major hurdle towards keeping the unbeaten record up but this is the Firehawks, they live and breathe and prosper from the tension and pressure that comes from playing important games away from their home field. If they continue to play as they have done, they may be undefeated going into the playoffs.

1. Mar Sara Tech (Valanora) - Zephyr
Hello, I would like to report a double murder! The Raiders (and the Rockets) finally got a chance to play a home game in these cross divisional conference games and boy did they show why the two teams were favorites for the conference title during the previous seasons they had competed in the NSCF. While the Rockets were putting up over seventy points in Raynor CIty, Mar Sara was taking Thereisnogodistan Community College to school with other sixty points on the board themselves. The Raiders are known to be an effective offensive unit but this sort of display is rare from them and in a week were the top teams were having some issue seeing off the competition, that they were so thoroughly dominating against the Atheists earns them number spot for the time being in the power rankings.

The journey to the Shrouded Isle was one that was filled with danger and portents alike as Atheron sought the blade that he believed could save his people from the demonic legions assailing them and the entire world over. Winged demons tried to stop Atheron atop his mighty dragon from seeking the island, attacking the elf and dragon alike trying to force him from his path. The pantheon of elven gods continued to plead with Atheron to not seek out the blade, giving harsh warnings about what he would find and the fate he would suffer, but if he heard their whispers and pleas, then he did not heed them. Other voices then attempted to dissuade Atheron from his path, voices that sounded like the foul whispers that carried on the winds with corrupted magical paths, the corrupted deities that these demons apparently worshipped. However their warnings only seemed to steel his will, believing that if they feared the blade, then it was truly as powerful as the legends said it was and would bring the righteous fury upon the hordes that were plaguing the lands.

As he approached the island, the elements themselves apparently tried to stop Atheron from stepping foot on the island as a great storm erupted before him. Inladriam was the mightiest of all dragons alive and they revered his strength and yet even he was wary as he brought Atheron to his destination, something about the island told the dragon that they should leave at once. The great dragon repeated the dire warnings from the gods and Kelembor that Atheron would find no peace if he chose to pursue this path, in this life or in the afterlife. That the great dragon was wary of the pursuit was enough to give Atheron pause and he considered for a moment from turning from his path and returning to Kelembor to seek those alternate paths toward victory. Yet to have come so far, there could be no turning back now and he bade the dragon to press on through the maelstrom and bring him to the island.

Landing the dragon on the island, a few hundred yards from where the altar laid that housed the blade that would be the salvation of the elves, Atheron dismounted and heading towards the shine. As he approached, he was accosted by spirits all speaking the same warnings he had heard on his trip here, the faces of long dead elves and other beings telling him to turn back from this path. As he was about to enter the shrine, the spirit of Astria appeared and pleaded for the love that he had held for her that to turn back before he was cursed beyond measure. Though Atheron had loved Astria with all of his heart, he had hardened it with the resolve he needed to see this task done. Approaching the altar inside of the shrine that housed the blade, he pulled out the sword and in doing so confirmed his fate and that of his people. Atheron could feel the raw power pulsating through the blade, unsure of whether it was some form of magic or something else, but there was no denying the awe inspiring power that this blade possessed and in turn those who possessed it could wield. Atheron believed he had the tool to save the elves, to save the world.

Get Ready For a Barnburner:
Blake Zuercher and Benoit Youngblood Headline NSCF's Week 7 Matchups

Image
Benoit Youngblood [left] and Blake Zuercher [right] will look to light up the scoreboard in Joseph Smith Stadium

Cold Hill's lost one regular season game over the past two seasons - their offense is scoring just under forty points per outing despite an absolutely stagnant run game led by a guy who probably shouldn't be on scholarship in D'andre Fuller, who's chipped away for 81 carries and just 249 yards. It's a big shift from having a stud like Alexander Ostby to keep defenses honest - but Benoit Youngblood clearly hasn't slowed down. The reigning NSCF offensive player of the year handed the top-ranked Governors their only loss so far this season and hung seven touchdowns on Ironpeak the week prior - he's tossed 21 scores so far this season, and has cleared the 2,000 yard mark just in week 6. If not for Loyola-Istria's AMV or Felswyr State's Kadesh Odika, he'd be the indisputable best quarterback in the NSCF - but shockingly, he isn't even leading the best offense in the Big 8.

That honor goes to Blake Zuercher of the BYU Miners, who's coming off his own 60+ point showing against Ironpeak. Bingham Young University appears to have stepped into the shoes of the departed Hankow State in the Evermore division, and they're scoring seemingly at will, already with a whopping 270 points so far this season - a flat and whopping 45 per game. He's been sensational, a squarterback of immaculate character and superstar talent heading the offense of a debutant NSCF squad. He's the poster child for what universities want their players to be, and perhaps his most impressive outing came against Richardson, where he put up 30 in a losing effort against a team that's been a juggernaut on defense since Kasen Harrowitz took the reigns at head coach.

That said - there may be a gap between these two teams. The Miners have won four of six while playing in an admittedly softer Evermore division, where they are the only team with a winning record and the only team with a positive point differential. (LeBois Santura is second on that front at -22). Cold Hill, meanwhile, has a +143 point differential to BYU's +84, and is 6-0 in the Everless, where at least the reigning champion Governors are 5-1 with a +100 point differential and one of the best defenses in the NSCF.

That said, both of these teams would say the same of their quarterbacks - running out a guy like the King of the Hill in Benoit Youngblood or Blake Zuercher at the very least gives your team a chance on any Saturday. This is a duel of an established contender, a team with two NSCF titles to their name, and a debutant squad looking to make themselves into a veritable upstart by coming out with a win at home against the Buffalo.

Grab your popcorn, invite your in laws over, and set your DVR - if we get the same version of Blake Zuercher we've seen so far this season, this should be one of the best shootouts we'll see in NSCF 28.

Bobby Dials slung a pass towards the center of the tire he had hung from a tree only to see it bounce helplessly away. Bobby sighed to himself before setting his feet and going thoroughly through his throwing motion, snapping his wrist to send the ball flying but, once again, it bounced away from his target.

Bobby sighed to himself. Things were not going to plan for his BSU, they'd won their first two matches and damn what a feeling that was. Bobby felt on top of the world walking through campus. Two wins from twin, BSU was looking strong, maybe a multiverse championship lay in wait, things were going Bobby's way like they should………only they didn't.

One loss turned into two with a humiliating defeat to fellow Cardenaoan side New Cardonia State, the Broncos then managed to pull another win back before a 37-6 demolition defeat against Richardson University brought it all crashing down again. God damn, Dials thought to himself. Things ain't the way they should be. He set his feet, lined his shoulders up, tossed the ball and……it harmlessly bounced off, though a bit closer than his previous attempts.

"Fuck!" the 19 year old cried out. He wasn't used to failing to succeed. Bobby had been #1 his whole life. #1 quarterback recruit, #1 varsity basketball player, #1 in bagging and tagging twin cheerleaders, #1 at everything he set his mind too. Now he was barely #4 in the standings and whenever he walked through campus he received no call outs, no acclimations, no fellow students crowding around him hoping to feel Bobby Dials telephone pole like presence, dominating and electric. He didn't feel that way anymore.

No, it was hard to feel like the man when other men keep putting points past you. Sure, he could only contribute so much on the offense end; he could only throw the pigskin or scramble himself for a couple few yards, or a touchdown like he did against Richardson University, but he couldn't do it all. No, he couldn't catch the dropped passes, hit the key field goals, make his tackles as part of the defensive unit, and that was painful.

Things fall apart, the center cannot hold.

The red hot offense was very, very cold, the strong defense was very, very leaky. It would take a miracle to put the BSU Broncos in a winning position going into the final games. Time was running out, the schedule was winding down.

Bobby set his feet, lined his shoulders up, tossed the ball and damn did it feel like a good throw but……he turned his back to the tire before he could see if it made it through the donut hole.

He had a game to win.

Five Reasons for Staramara Tech's Troubles

Well, well... The Lava have dropped their third game of the early season, a road affair at Frontier Mechanical and Technical University, as they falter to 3-3 after going to the NSCF Championship Game. What has befallen Chromatika's second team? Let us diagnose five of the biggest reasons why Staramara Tech is struggling so much this season.

1. Injuries.

Yes, yes, it's cliché to blame everything on injuries, but is it really an excuse when your top two Quarterbacks are down? Haruno Masakazu has two fractured ribs that will keep him on the sidelines at least through the end of Conference Play, while Liana Anderson, the capable backup, reaggravated her sore elbow while trying to play a few weeks back. Without those two, the Lava have had to lean on Amerique Qarinne - a Junior without a single collegiate start - and Qarinne has struggled. He was never meant to be more than a short yardage Quarterback, and with the Lava's offense becoming entirely one-dimensional with the run and short pass, defenses have been cashing in. The Roughnecks had nine sacks, five tackles for loss, and two interceptions in their overtime win over the Lava; throw in the fact that four other starters have missed time due to injury, and the Lava have a legitimate reason to blame for their struggles.

2. Familiarity.

Staramara Tech enters its fourth season in the NSCF - and teams are starting to read their tendencies. Observe how Felswyr State, Sadeg State, and Cavsar all handled their matchups with Staramara Tech. Sure, the Lava were able to beat the Drawkian schools, but it was evident that the Gladiators and the Skyhawks knew what to expect but couldn't stop it. In the losses to Felswyr State and the others, the Lava's game plan has been figured out. It helps when the team is injured, but Teisha Wagoner has lacked the creativity to help the offense adapt, and the defense has not been good enough to win when the offense is struggling as much as it has. In order to have prolonged success, the Lava will need to show that they can schematically adapt - one of the hardest things to do.

3. Intensity.

Staramara Tech had a chip on is shoulder in the first three years of its existence. As the second school of a nation that had taken to gridiron like fish to water, it had to prove that Felswyr State wasn't the only power in Chromatika. After a disappointing yet promising first season, the Lava made the Quarterfinals, and then, the Championship game, dropping to Richardson on a narrow contest. This season, it feels like the air has gone out a bit when their play is observed. It isn't that they don't look motivated, it's more like they lack a bit of the underdog factor. When teams get to that level, they usually do one of two things - fall to the bottom again where they once again become underdogs, or learn to convert the energy needed to a drive to remain relevant instead. Can they do it?

4. Felswyr State.

Comparison can be a motivational factor or a poison - and in the case of the Lava this season, it's acting more like a poison. Felswyr State is undefeated, at 6-0 and on top of the Division/Conference. Felswyr State continues to win on the road, something that they have done well throughout their entire existence. Felswyr State's defense is holding opponents to less than 20 points a game, something that nobody expected while having a Quarterback like Kadesh Odika. It can be argued that Felswyr State is doing so well without even hitting full throttle - everyone is holding their breath for when Odika and company will start scoring points into the forties at the regular, like what was expected of them. Hearing all this about Felswyr State, while being reminded of just how far they've fallen, has done a number on the Lava. Success can be good, but it can also be detrimental to the mentality of players. The Lava are figuring that out.

5. The Bonsoon Factor

Ever since Lisa Bonsoon had two picks for touchdowns at the Firehawks' Roost, the Lava have not been the same, going 1-3. The Freshman Cornerback from Felswyr State has been very vocal the entire time, constantly needling the Lava with comments about how her mouthing off at them have shaken them to the core. The bad news is that the Lava haven't done anything to prove otherwise yet. They are sitting at a 3-3 record with a road trip to Drawkland and a home game against Felswyr State remaining - and that's even before a nonconference slate that isn't easy on paper. In fact, the Lava are staring the possibility of their second season without a playoff appearance in the face. The worst part? If that happens, there will be one cornerback telling everyone that she told them so - that the Lava are fake, a one-season wonder, and that the true power in Chromatika resides in the tiny city in the Mountain District.

So, will the Lava make the turnaround? It all starts with one final cross-divisional game.

College Watch: Tonight, 4 becomes 3
Mancodas - Unusual for an NSCF match, the away allocation for the match against Mar Sara Tech was sold out the moment tickets was released, and a group of students have submitted a request to University of Mancodas to open up the Multi-Purpose Hall to allow for more students and gridiron fans to watch the match live.

This is because the match is widely expected to be a rehersal for the title conference game in the midweek of Week 11 - given how dominant Mar Sara Tech and University of Mancodas have been in their respective Divisions. Given that as of Week 6, there were only 4 teams unbeaten, and 2 of them are the Raiders and the Mammoths, this has brought additional significance to the match. Both teams are well capable of making the end-of-season playoffs, and some foreign team scouts might also be in town today to watch the match.

Ahead of Week 7 of the NSCF schedule, students at the University of Mancodas have been putting in some effort to raise awareness, with the student newspaper releasing an article, and calling on students to come down to MancodasTown on Saturday to support the college team. Members of the small but growing gridiron community are also said to be coming down to watch history, as University of Mancodas aims to overcome the negative comments of last cycle to clinch the title without hope. A win against Mar Sara tech today would give the team enough of a confidence boost for the eventual conference title, and put the team in driving spot in the final league matches.

Note: The UoM College Press is a newspaper written by the students of the University of Mancodas

UoM College Press
5 reasons why you should not count on the Mammoths to win
University of Mancodas Mammoths welcomes the Mar Sara Tech Raiders to MancodasTown today, with both sides aiming to clinch their 7th victory in a row and end the other's winning streak. For UoM, a win today would all but secure the Legends Division title, given that the Gijikyhandasari Yeraiqhospifasa of Maxiums Rochester Institute of Science & Technology is playing in-form Raynor University Rockets in Sarim. While a win is extremely good for morale and to boost the popularity of Gridiron as a whole in the university, one must understand that this should not be taken for granted, and that you really should not count on the Mammoths to win. Here is why:

1. There is a difference between a nation that produces World Bowl winners, and a nation that doesn't even enter the World Bowl
No matter what you believe, the fact is that Poafmersia has never entered the World Bowl. And that our country will probably not form a World Bowl team in the distant future. The truth is that, Valanora has the culture and the experience in gridiron that we don't have. And Valanora has some experience in putting players through the highest level of gridiron matches.

2. History has always favoured the Valanorian teams
Have a look at NSCF26, when it was Poafmersia vs Valanora vs 2 unknown teams. What happened back then? Our teams got utterly smashed at the hands of the Vanorian teams. Even if they didn't play in NSCF27, what happened to their rankings? Higher then the nerds of MRI, and our team's rank is barely above theirs. The rankings goes to show how dominant Vanorian teams are in the tournament, and goes to show how difficult our job is to beat an in-form Mar Sara Tech

3. While the Raiders were smashing teams, the Mammoths was struggling to produce victories
Have you looked at their point records? A net 151 points up in 6 games, which translates to around 25 points per game. That is how much they have won - and when you compared to our +97 point difference, that totally means nothing. On average, the Raiders have been much more dominant in games than the Mammoths, and clearly this means that they have better skill than our team, no?

4. Mar Sara Tech has the support of foreigners
We all know the biggest colleges gain recruitment from foreigners on sports scholarship. University of Mancodas has no foreigner in this team. Mar Sara Tech has 8. Enough to make a difference?

5. Just don't expect Poafmersia to do well in a sport that has no professional scene.
Professional Players > Semi-Professional players. Enough said.

Ranorian Football League Commisioner Rolf Annelie’s Office
Somewhere In Ranoria, I haven’t decided where league headquarters are

Rolf pores over a list of reports, mostly regarding profits, how quarterback protections would boost them, and other mundane stuff, eyes ever so slightly bloodshot as his fingers tapped frantically at the tempered glass of his desk. “Do you know what I need, Walter?”

Walter didn’t reply, handing him a glass of whiskey - that was usually the answer, with his as always emotionless mask of a face revealing nothing.

Rolf snatched the glass and downed it, unflinching to the burn of the drink in his throat, and slammed it down when he dropped his gaze back down, a strand of meticulously maintained silver hair falling over his perspiration face.

“More Chromatiks and Vanorians.”

“Actually sir,” Walter chimes in, his words slow and his tone low, “we only have one Banijan and one Quebecois in the league at this time.” Rolf’s eye twitched, Walter’s tone was so droning, “With how many of our quarterbacks and receiving targets they take, it may do us well to make an effort to poach players from major competitors like that.”

Rolf grunted and rubbed his temple, pointing to the cabinet. “I need another drink to have the patience to answer that absurd attempt at a counterpoint.” Another glass, another dramatic shot and drop. Rolf spread his arms wide throughout the office, “Yes, we do need more Quebecois. Tough to find a sport that country doesn’t compete hard in, and I think with Youngblood playing for the Buffalo we have the inside track there. But we must be cautious. You saw what Quebec City d-did to,” he had to pause to collect his trembling voice, steepling his fingers together and bowing his head in reminiscence, “did to my beloved Diamond Rhine - our fanbase doesn’t like druggies.”

Walter shrugged. Sure, most of the populace was conservative, but bigger cities like Ranoria City or North Ashialand leaned a little more towards recreational use. He also didn’t retort with the fact that Rhine had been on and off the field due to recreational drug use since his high school days - Quebec City was closer to the only place he felt safe than it was the cause of his downfall. No, best to keep that to himself, he decided with a nod to himself that Rolf didn’t notice. He knew losing the former back-to-back MVP was a sore spot - especially since he went right into the waiting arms of the GFLB.

“Banijans…yeah, love it. Marketable, especially if they graduated from Loyola-Istria, that Rebel’s Cannon Bowl will get any Richardson fan talking about them. If only the one guy we had could stay on the field! That Uzziah Amondi’s missed 3 games in two seasons due to suspension! All fighting!” Rolf gestures towards the whiskey cabinet, and Walter just started pouring out more glasses, “Do you know how bad a fight has to be on the field for me to suspend someone?”

One shot, a sigh. A wistful gaze out into the snow, “I love football fights! Good for ratings, but when you take on the entire Sabers defensive line at once, and throw a punch knocking out a 37 year old fan favorite with his helmet on, you don’t leave me much of a choice!”

Yep, Uzziah Amondi, former Richardson standout guard, was insane. “Sir,” Walter interrupted his tirade as Rolf downed another glass, this time with his closed eyes upward for a moment as he savored the taste, “Amondi has a mean streak, but Amondi’s fights have been some of the highest rated regular season games this season. He’s been the highest selling jersey a couple times now, and he’s a true fan favorite.”

Rolf was snapped out of his daze by the retort, and glowered at his assistant, “Yes, but that’s not the issue, really. The problem is it’s difficult to lure them away from the GFLB. If anything, I’m playing defense against that high-flying league, I have been since they robbed us of Vallienté Wagner-Young!”

At this, Rolf buried his head in his hands, thinking of all the profits they’d lost when the Northern Moravica alumn ripped his heart out by declaring for the GFLB draft. Walter allowed the commissioner to collect himself before he moved on.

“Sir, with all due respect, Ranorians are known throughout the world as dirty players. Judas Wolfson’s late hit in Taurus Wright? Kaiser Belfort in the IBC? Do I even need to mention Angelo Gordon or Gudbrand Taurus? To the contrary, Banija has developed a fantastic reputation amongst the entire world of international sports. If you want fewer fights, it’s in your interest to make the league less Ranorian.”

Rolf nodded, rubbing his chin. “Right, right. Maybe Amondi is too small a sample size to judge, I do tend to be hyper focused on our athletes, not those swinging wooden sticks at a silly spherical thing with red laces, or kicking a spherical white checkered thing. No, I’m focused on those playing a game revolving around an actual, proper oblong ball. That said, it’s difficult to lure them away from that GFLB, especially with all the rules they’ve put in place favoring the passing game.”

He slicked his hair back before continuing. “Chromatiks and Vanorians don’t cause issues, Sarai Gwenderyn donates an ungodly amount of money to charity, the sport is still getting its feet under it in the country, and they all lived through the rainbow revolution! You want to talk about adversity?” Rolf clapped his hands, “That’s marketable. Throw in the visibility of the NSCF where so many of them play, it’s a perfect storm. Do you realize that without Gwenderyn our biggest market, Ranoria City, would be fielding not one, but two terrible teams? I mean look, no one outside of Victoria Mio from those two countries gives us any viral billboard material, but they're the kind of class act players that so many fans adore and look up to.”

Walter groaned, but nodded to concede the point. The league had been pushing hard to recruit foreign players, but those from Chromatika had certainly made the strongest impact to this point. “Now sir, the thing is we get plenty of Chromatik talent,” Rolf started to snap at him and Walter raised a finger, “Not that we don’t want more, but why not go after countries we don’t have much representation from? Like Drawkland? Think of how fans rave about tall receivers, they’re all tall!”

Rolf, now, started rubbing his temples. “Drawkland?” He chuckled, almost rumbled, but there was a chuckle in there. The league commissioner took his last glass of whiskey, stood up, and stared out the window into the approaching snow storm. He downed the glass, and let it dangle from his fingertips. “If I hear one more rumor, see one more tweet detailing Lane Proudfoot’s,” he looked over his shoulder while swirling the glass in the air as he tried to find the right words, “Escapades again, I’m going to have an aneurysm. I don’t want to chance that. Proko’s good though, Proko’s great.”

Walter raised a finger, and the commissioner waved a hand, “Yes, I know Fiston has the highest percentage of female viewers in the league.”

He placed the glass on a nightstand, and nodded to Walter, “Yes, that’s what we’ll do. More Chromatiks. More Vanorians,, never cause any issues, and South Newlandians? We’ve got four of them and two have won footballer of the year, you wanna talk about great for PR?” Walter watched, helpless, as Rolf strolled out of his office, chin up, slightly drunk but he’d never show it - he was a functional drunk.

Calvary's Here: Lindberg, Lukiwiya, Ichiko Heroic In Shutout Win,
Rylan Rodgers Jr's Return Next Week Promises To Cure Offense's Woes

In the middle of what had been a strong season to this point, Isaiah Hunter dropped an absolute egg against the University of Kiyokonai

Isaiah Hunter has been asked to carry this offense ever since his running mate, superstar halfback Rylan Rodgers Jr, went down with a high ankle sprain in week three. And he answered the call, throwing up 102 points in three weeks, lighting up defenses for ten touchdowns and 1,014 passing yards with no interceptions in that span. He lit up LeBois Santura, outdueled Blake Zuercher and his upstart Bingham Young, and got the job done against New Cardonia State.

So what the absolute hell happened here? There's speculation of an injured thumb - he hit the helmet of a rushing defender on a throw last week, but there's no identifiable wrapping going on and no one's been able to find an instance of the Governors quarterback showing any signs of pain in his hand. Sure, he was missing his #1 receiver, senior Constantina Perrier, who was down with a hamstring injury, but let's be honest - sometimes, you just have a bad day.

It started early - the Governors got the ball first and immedietely went three and out. Benjamin Merik managed 6 yards on two carries and Isaiah Hunter overshot Dustin van Halfensen - who's a big target, that's hard to do, to force a punt. It didn't get much better after that - the Governors offense would manage just four first downs throughout the contest, never getting more than one on a single drive, and Hunter turned the ball over twice via interception.

Fortunately, as many will stress when the more casual fans get too excited about the offensive playmakers Richardson fields, they're not the strength of this team.

Whether it was Malchiel Lukiwiya's career day coming at the perfect time (3 sacks, 6 tackles, 2 for a loss), or Takeuchi Ichiko and Totte Lindberg combining for three interceptions, the Governors defense, even with often poor field position, never let Kiyokonai's overmatched offense cross the fifty yard line. With a stacked cornerback room, Eckert and Lukiwiya dominating up front, and Harrowitz reading an offense that had scored just under 25 per game coming into this one like an infant's picture book, the Yellowjackets offense looked completely out of their element...not that Richardson's was much better.

The first heartbreaker came early in the third quarter when Banijan freshman Munanire Tembo snagged his first career interception inside the opposing thirty yard line. Yellowjackets QB Fuse Masaharu gunned it to Ara Kinzo on a quick out route from the slot, and Tembo's speed was just enough for him to jam himself in to grab the ball, hopping just a bit in the air and clamping it against his chest. The Banijan was down - that's how things work when you fall in college - but he still got up and ran to the end zone, pounding his chest in celebration.

Isaiah Hunter called an audible - despite his poor showing so far his confidence was unshaken - and launched a pass to Dustin van Halfensen on a corner. It's a tough play to defend...if the ball's accurate, and the young man who'd won a championship as a true freshman could only clap his hands in frustration as the ball sailed well out of bounds. A quick curl route to get him back in rhythm picked up just seven yards, and another miss on third down led the Governors to kick.

It wasn't a super long field goal - but kicker Tommy Black's attempt landed in the dirt just in front of the goal post.

The Governors defense - the broadcast team made sure to note - was getting tired. A lot of snaps and for what? It's hard to win games if your offense can't score. Fortunately, they were a confident, resilient bunch. They'd won an NSCF Championship not too long ago by holding the Lava to six, and had forced five shutouts in the last two seasons. They knew they could win this type of a slugfest.

In the fourth quarter it was Lukiwiya. The Banijan Beast hit Masaharo like a rodeo bull and the ball went flying. Shean Eckert came up with it, and their offense had the ball in the red zone - there's no way they could mess this up right?

Thing's looked even better then - Isaiah Hunter connected with Dustin van Halfensen for eleven yards - the longest play of the game for either team. But when two Benjamin Merik runs went backwards, he had to throw again, and this time even the Vanorian and Chromatik members of this defense couldn't quite keep their frustration from showing. Hunter completely lost sight of the middle linebacker and threw the ball right to him attempting to squeeze it in for a touchdown. On the sidelines, Lindberg rubbed his temples, Packard Goss sighed, and NSCF 27 DPOY candidate Takeuchi Ichiko squeezed his eyes shut as he looked to the sky. This was going to be a long quarter.

Shean Eckert's second sack of the day though, was the one that finally broke through. In what was a do-or-die drive with under a minute left, he ripped the ball away from Masaharo, who'd end up with seven sacks taken on the day, and damn near made it to the end zone. From the two yard line, Harrowitz didn't even chance it. Isaiah Hunter kneeled, and the Governors took a timeout with two seconds on the clock. Tommy Black's second kick of the day was up and good - a 3-0 win in a downright horrible showing by this offense, but a game that proved this defense hasn't lost a step.

They're second only to St. Croix's ridiculously productive unit so far this season, and have now pitched their sixth shutout over the last two seasons. With Rylan Rodgers Jr and Constantina Perrier returning to the lineup next week, both sides of the balls should be championship-caliber not too long from now.

Game of the Week
Mercy University Bunyoro Rabbits 47–48 South Kitara University Sea Lions

This is, without a doubt, the craziest game we saw over the course of the past two weeks.

I mean, look at that score. A combined 95 points- it'd make Richardson U fans shudder- they probably will go the entirety of conference play without allowing 95 points(although Benoit Youngblood will be responsible for 2/3s of them). Mercy University, of the BAC, knowing that the playoffs simply aren't coming(there isn't any respect for the BAC for them to earn at-large bids at this point), trying desperately to spoil South Kitara's run at the postseason. A 7-3 team, they feel as if getting to 9-3 would be a clear path for them to the postseason.

How do you even get to 48-47? Mercy U and South Kitara simply trading touchdowns. Score after score, with a few field goals sprinkled in all day, this was the first game of the season where neither team punted. There were basically points on every single possession- or close to that, as there were a couple of turnovers, and a couple of missed field goals, on the day. The Sea Lions did take a slim 35-33 lead heading into the fourth quarter, where the Bunyoro Rabbits at that point had already scored on 7 separate possessions(3 TDs, 4 FGs), while the Sea Lions had 5 touchdowns at that point in time(alongside a missed FG and an interception thrown on 3rd and goal in the end zone in the first quarter).

To open the fourth quarter, South Kitara U were able to kick a field goal. Extend their lead in this wild contest to 5 points- 38-33. But Mercy U, as they had been doing all day long, had a response to South Kitara's touchdown. They launched a drive of their own, again- mixing in well both the run and the pass, and were able to score a touchdown themselves. A 15 yard pass to a tight end, on an out route, who caught the ball at the 4 yard line, and then bulldozed over a smaller cornerback playing zone defense for a touchdown. 40-38 to the home team. They wouldn't chase the points, just taking the three. Once again, South Kitara U would respond well. The Sea Lions would have a drive of their own, kickstarted by a 35 yard scramble by their QB on a crucial 3rd and 3.

The Sea Lions take a 45-40 lead. Mercy U comes back, eager to respond. And they do- scoring a TD with 1:15 left, thanks to their Quarterback having an incredible, on the run, strike to his own WR1- who tip-toed probably the catch of the year in the back corner. One-handed, while getting hit, he managed to get his right foot down in bounds before crashing to the ground, maintaining possession of the football the whole time. He was penalized for excessive celebration on the play, however, forcing Mercy U to simply take the points- 47-45 to the Bunyoro Rabbits.

Time was running out. The Sea Lions would have one last drive- and they would take advantage of it. Drive down the field, including converting a 4th & 15, to get into field goal range. This certainly came with controversy, however- that 4th & 15 catch, for 22 yards, on replay, certainly seemed like the WR3 dropped the ball. He bobbled it, and then trapped it as he went to ground, so shows the replay. But they never got to look at it- South Kitara were smart in getting to the line and running another play quickly, before the booth could review it. Lots and lots of controversy. And then, a few plays later, boom- their kicker would come in the clutch, drilling a 49 yard field goal as time expired, to extinguish Mercy U's upset bid, and aid South Kitara's potential march towards the playoffs.

Upset of the Week
Budaka College for Literature and the Arts 33–25 University of Hangaza Gazelle

Budaka College for Literature and the Arts. This school doesn't even have a nickname- they aren't "known" as anything, simply Budaka College. And yet, they're out here, taking down the Valley Interior Conference champions. A team that finished 5-7, nowhere near any sort of relevance for anything that matters, beat a playoff-bound conference champion, to really throw off the University of Hangaza's chase for a first round home playoff game. It was one of the weirdest games we've ever seen- but ultimately, it would be Budaka College fans that would be storming the field.

Massive consequences either way? Maybe not. Budaka College still has no relevance to the postseason race, and Hangaza will still be playing. But they likely won't get a home playoff game after this- a huge blow in their ability to try and make a playoff run. As for Budaka, it's more of a strong finish to what has really been a rough season. The last time they finished above .500 was 12 years ago(although they were 6-6 last season), so maybe they'll get to that mark soon?

Best Moment of the Week
Heshima & Usian University Guardian Angels 23–22 Mamari University Sand Spiders

The Guardian Angels came into the final two weeks of non-conference play with a slim chance to do anything of relevance. They had a clutch, 42-0 blowout victory against Army in week 12- yes, it is Army, but of course, tell that to the University of Kitara. They took on the Mamari University Sand Spiders, on senior night, here on the final night of the season- needing, desperately, a resume-topping win over a conference champion to really make their playoff case. The Sand Spiders, on the other hand, wanted to end the season with a bang- get that playoff seed.

It was, in general, just a strange game from start to finish. The Sand Spiders jumped out to a 13-0 lead by midway through the second quarter, seemingly controlling the game on the road. They had a 4 yard TD run from their running back, as well as a pair of long field goals from their kicker- 47 and 48 yards, respectively. Alongside a strong defensive performance, many thought Mamari U could really earn this road win, and do one last thing to impress the committee before the playoff seeding came out. The Guardian Angels, after that, would score their first TD of the game with just seconds remaining in the second quarter- a 12 yard pass to their WR1, with just 8 seconds left.

But then, another strange event. The PAT was blocked by the Sand Spiders- who ran it back for 2 points of their own. So at halftime, the score was 15-6, in favor of the visiting Sand Spiders. The Guardian Angels knew that they needed to get things into gear- so they did exactly that. They outscored the visitors 10-0 in the 3rd quarter, combining a 32 yard field goal with a 12 yard touchdown run, on a WR reverse. So they took the slimmest of one point leads, 16-15, into the fourth quarter. Both teams scored clutch touchdowns in the fourth quarter, to make the score eventually 23-22. Mamari U took the lead, 22-16, after a 55 yard punt return for a TD, while the Guardian Angels re-claimed the lead with a 3 yard TD plunge on 3rd and goal, to make it 23-22.

This game, as it always was, came down to the final seconds. The Sand Spiders had a chance to win the game, with a 48 yard field goal attempt on the last play of the game. But these are college kickers, remember. The freshman kicker simply did not have enough leg, the kick falling a couple of yards short, as the Guardian Angels survived. Would that be enough to reach the postseason?

Best Individual Performance of the Week
University of Aksum Silverbacks 45–3 Tree of Life University Okapi

Muhoozi Lwazo absolutely shredding everything about Tree of Life. The Silverbacks weren't going to have that automatic playoff bid- but he made his case to win the National Player of the Year Award. Yet another 200 yard performance from the stud HB, he had a stunning 5 TDs in the first three quarters of the game- an absolutely ridiculous total. 177 rushing yards, and 98 receiving yards(77 of them on one play, a 77 yard screen pass he took for a TD). He was a walking highlight reel on this day. Against the Tree of Life as well- a conference champion. BAC, of course, but beating conference champions are beating conference champions. A massive game with a playoff spot, essentially, on the line. Big players for big moments, eh?

Now, let's see- who made this year's playoffs?

Official BCSG Division I Playoff Bracket
#1 Wild Valley University Golden Hornets(11-1) - Upper Coastal Conference champions.
#16 South Kitara University Sea Lions(9-3)

#8 Kabakono University Night Owls(9-3) - At-Large
#9 Bunyoro A&M Waterbucks(9-3) - At-Large

#4 Lesedi University Rhinos(9-3) - Kuanen River Conference champions
#13 University of Hangaza Gazelle(7-5) - Valley Interior Conference champions

#5 Islamic University of Busoga Caracals(9-3) - At-Large
#12 Mamari University Sand Spiders(8-4) - Lower Coastal Conference champions

#6 University of Aksum Silverbacks(9-3) - At-Large
#11 Aksum State Stars(8-4) - Northern 9 Conference Champions

#3 Kizza I College Cubs(10-2) - Southern Shango Conference champions
#14 Tree of Life University Okapi(7-5) - Banijan Athletic Conference champions

#7 Hangaza Tech River Rats(9-3) - At-Large
#10 University of Buganda Long-Tailed Lizards(9-3) - At-Large

#2 Zakuta State University Crocodiles(10-2) - Sun Valley Conference champions.
#15 Heshima & Usian University Guardian Angels(8-4) - At-Large

First Five Out
University of Moravica Golden Bears(8-4) - At-Large
Central Aksum Titans(8-4)
Istria City College King Crabs(8-4)
Sankt Adelheid Sea Eagles(7-5)
Lake Wakiso State Lukwata(7-5)

Let's break this down, shall we? The first four seeds matched our exact projections. No surprises there. Wild Valley were the only 11 win team in Banija- and accordingly, with their superstar QB, got the top seed. Zakuta State at 2 and Kizza I College at 3 could potentially be interchangeable, but Zakuta State probably has had a stronger finish to the season. And Lesedi U at 4- also in a good spot.

The Islamic University of Busoga ending up as the #5 seed also makes a ton of sense. Their 62-10 win over Central Aksum looks to be one of the most impressive wins of the season. Think of the kind of schedule they've played. They went toe to toe with the #1 team in the country, on the road, in a de facto conference championship game. They recovered well from that- blowout wins over North Kitara and Hangaza State to close out the season, the top ranked at-large team in the country. The University of Aksum ending up in the 6 seed, again, is not that surprising. They finished non-con play with two wins against conference champions, Tree of Life and Hangaza- how could one deny their rise?

The last two teams to earn home playoff games are Hangaza Tech(#7) and the Kabakono Night Owls(#8). Impressive by Kabakono U- they weren't even in our final 16 just two weeks ago. But the LCC team stayed the course- wins over Bunyoro State and Western Hangaza put them in. Hangaza Tech, meanwhile, didn't really surprise many- but they overcame a loss to the #1 team in the country. Facing those two will be #9 Bunyoro A&M, and #10 the University of Buganda. Both teams who are absolutely well deserving of the postseason. Those 7-10 and 8-9 matchups, as always, should be spectacular displays of all the playoffs can mean.

Now, we've got the last 4 conference champions- remember, there's a rule that no conference champion can be seeded lower than #14. So the remaining conference champs had to slot in at 11-14. The 6v11 matchup is a rematch of one of the country's biggest rivalries- Aksum State slots in at 11, and will take on their archrivals, University of Aksum, in the first round- this time, with the venue reversed. It's a primetime matchup, the ratings will be through the roof. Will the University of Aksum retake their usual status as the dominant team in the rivalry? Or will the Stars shock them again, this time at their house?

The other seeds are not surprising here. #12 is Mamari U, #13 is the University of Hangaza, and #14 is the Tree of Life. All will open on the road as underdogs- particularly the Tree of Life, taking on the machine that is Kizza I College. Now, the real fun Q- who earned the last two playoff spots in the country??

The #15 seed, shocking most people- is Heshima & Usian. Wow. Storming from nowhere. And then, #16, South Kitara U. The Guardian Angels ended the season on a four game winning streak, playing their best gridiron when it mattered most. South Kitara U also finished the season strong- while not beating the best opponents, they still won their games at the end of the season. 9 wins, even when in a down year LCC, is a ton. Can't miss the postseason.

This doesn't mean everyone is happy. University of Moravica, of course, were the first team out. Unofficially the #17 team in the country. Inarguably a tougher schedule than South Kitara U. However, they had a chance to win it on the field- and could not win their conference. That's what happens when you leave things up to the committee- sometimes, they'll go in ways that they don't like. The Golden Bears had a strong case, and while you don't always want to do a win count... 9 wins is more than 8.

Other teams did as well. Central Aksum had a strong case, at 8-4. Honestly, many consider them a stronger team than both the Golden Bears or South Kitara. But they couldn't overcome those ugly losses- a 62-10 shellacking, even at the hands of another playoff team(the Islamic U), is still a 62-10 shellacking. Combine that with a 23 point road pasting against Zawadi U- the worst team in their conference? The Titans simply could not overcome their lows. Lake Wakiso State falling to the University of Moravica in the final week, to finish at just 7-5, probably did them in.

Here we go. We've got 16 teams remaining. The playoffs start next week. You know how this works- "Four and won, or one and done"- plus a potential bowl game, of course.

Head Coach Lance Kabuye, at a birthday party

Kabuye was back home, in Herzegovina City. It had been a chaotic week in the NSCF- powers left and right across the spectrum fell, newcomer schools were rising, the number of undefeated teams went from four to just 1. And yet, NMU had successfully navigated through it. The 32-15 road win this past week had been fairly comfortable- four touchdowns, as well as a 2 point conversion, and a 51 yard Dwayne Markseon field goal seeing NMU through to its fourth consecutive road victory of the season. Starting 4-0 away from home- can't complain about that.

But something that gave Kabuye about as much joy as his team's win, was Loyola-Istria's pasting. Their biggest blowout loss in their time in the NSCF- a 45-3 pasting at the hands of Upper Westside U. Kabuye was spending this Sunday at his sister-in-law's 75th birthday party- one of those things he didn't particularly enjoy going to, but of course, he did exactly that. With people talking to one another, he simply sat in the corner, and whipped out his phone. Threw on some UWU v. ULI highlight videos- just to laugh at his archrivals. Hell, he found a hastily uploaded, fanmade copy of the entire game.

Suddenly, his wife came up to him. "Lance!" She said. "You haven't said anything to anyone- you missed the cake!" Lance Kabuye looked up. He must have been so immersed. "Hell, you even missed the steak! What have you been- are you just watching UWU v. ULI highlights? Have you done that for the past two hours??" Kabuye looked around, and looked at the clock in the corner of his phone. Holy shit. He had been.

She took his phone. "Man, enjoy the party. You can watch ULI flame themselves at any other time." He grinned, got up, and went to join the rest of the party .None of the good food was left- just the coleslaw, which was notorious on his wife's side of the family for being terrible. But hey- who didn't love a good asskicking of Loyola-Istria?

"My thoughts about the game we just played? It was unbelievable, man," Upper Westside University Red Pandas wide receiver Sam Dobler told reporters at the end of his team's Week 7 matchup against Banijan rivals the University of Loyola-Istria Blue Thunder at the UWU Stadium in Kardashia, St. Kanye. "Things were good for us at the start, and then one good thing led to another, and another, until the end. You know, we came in here hoping to win. And while we did, it still felt unreal - at least to me - that it would end up like this." Added fellow wideout Josh Laney-Seymour, "I'm a little shocked, of course, but I'm mostly happy. This is definitely one of our biggest wins yet, not just because of the score, but because of who we beat - one of the most prominent teams in the NSCF, and our rivals at that." Laney-Seymour caught two touchdown passes, and Dobler one, as the Red Pandas took home the Victory Bell trophy after demolishing the Blue Thunder by a score of.... wait for it.... 45-3.

1Q UWU Laney-Seymour 23 pass from St. Roger (Ingberg kick) UWU 7-0
The Blue Thunder won the toss and elected to receive, but the Red Pandas defense forced them to go three and out. The latter got more success out of their opening drive, as it ended with the first of JLS' two trips to the end zone.
Image
UWU goes beast mode at their home turf.

1Q ULI field goal El-Mady 32 UWU 7-3
The visitors' drive stalled again, although this time they would be in field goal range. Haashid El-Mady sunk the short kick, but it would be the first and last time ULI would get on the scoreboard for the rest of the day.

1Q UWU Okoma 46 run (Ingberg kick) UWU 14-3
After a fruitless drive by the boys in head to toe red, ULI had a chance to take the lead. Unfortunately, Anne-Maurice Vavayavich's pass was picked off by Ishrael Carter. While Carter was unable to score, going down only a short distance after getting hold of the ball, it only took until the next play for the Red Pandas to find the end zone again. Quarterback Adrian St. Roger faked a pass and handed off to running back Chase Okoma, who evaded each and every player in blue who gave, well, chase.

2Q UWU field goal Ingberg 43 UWU 17-3
Matt Ingberg added three points for Upper Westside a few plays later, raising their lead to a full two touchdowns (plus the extra points of course).

2Q UWU Anderson 59 fumble return (Ingberg kick) UWU 24-3
Things went from bad to worse for the Blue Thunder as Vavayavich was taken out of the game with a concussion. As the visiting quarterback dropped back for what would have been a long pass, the Red Pandas decided to go for a blitz. Linebacker Helmut Jensen took down Vavayavich, who coughed up the ball, only for Hassan Anderson to pick it up and take it to the house.

Later, Jensen would apologize for his hard hit, saying "All I meant to do was my job, which was to play defense. I did not intend to take a key player out. Hopefully Anne-Maurice understands and recovers swiftly. Same as the fans, I hope they understand as well."

3Q UWU Laney-Seymour 67 pass from St. Roger (Ingberg kick) UWU 31-3
Vavayavich's replacement Irumba Kawumbi had a rough outing as the defense feasted on him; at the end of the game he had been subject to five sacks, three interceptions and plenty of passes that were batted away. The first of those three INTs came in the red zone courtesy of Evan Hunter, and the resulting UWU drive was capped off by Laney-Seymour's second TD.

3Q UWU Ono 39 interception return (Ingberg kick) UWU 38-3
On the Blue Thunder's next possession, Kawumbi turned the ball over again, this time with free safety Toshiya Ono recording the pick six.

4Q UWU Dobler 55 pass from St. Roger (Ingberg kick) UWU 45-3
Loyola-Istria's defense showed signs of life late, holding the Red Pandas scoreless for the first eight minutes of the fourth quarter, that is until St. Roger struck again, this time to Dobler, for six points. Ingberg made the PAT, giving us the final score and the 42-point margin of victory.

UWU improved to 6-1 after their dominating performance against the three-time NSCF titleholders, and will get a chance to clinch the Sequoia Division next week when they host the Universidade de Soria Bats (who are winless in seven games). ULI, meanwhile, fall to 4-3 and third in the Savannah Division. "Just because we, and for that matter everyone else, beat Soria doesn't mean we should underestimate them," spoke Fabio Forelli, head coach of the Red Pandas. "Anything can happen - hell, we just proved that today."

Recap of BYU vs ColdHill

On the field, BYU is using their wide zone run scheme to try and gain an advantage. With a quick snap, Blake moves and shifts away from the defense, looking for an opening. While BYU’s offense may seem complex at first glance, the key is to remain focused on reading the defense and reacting accordingly. As BYU moves downfield with their wide zone run scheme, they will need to remain patient and take advantage of any openings that present themselves. Onlookers erupted into cheers as Colter Flentroy caught the deep pass from Blake, bringing the ball all the way to the 20-yard line. This was a crucial moment in the match, and one that will be remembered for years to come. With this impressive play, Blake demonstrated great skill and accuracy as a quarterback, while Colter showed his incredible athleticism and dedication as a wide receiver to make a key catch for his team. It was truly inspiring to witness such an amazing display of teamwork and skill on the field. As Flentroy rushed down the field he could feel the breath of a ColdHill defender on the back of his neck and the next thing he knew.. He was on the field rolling with the ball still in his hands laughing as he looked around to see his teammate coming to congratulate him. That hype would double in the coming moments as Blake managed to get in a decently deep pass to Shepard Triche, for the opening touchdown! BYU will attempt to score the extra point after a successful touchdown with Cullen Cline on the field for the field goal. Cline is a reliable kicker, with experience in both college and High School football. He has a long-standing record of success when it comes to kicking field goals, making him the perfect choice for BYU's attempt at an extra point. With his strong leg, accuracy and consistency, he is sure to make this attempt successful and it was as he got it straight down the middle!

The defense of the miners was resilient this year in spite of the terrible cold hill running conditions. Fuller for cold hill was determined to gain some space and make advances, but just before getting to first down they were stopped in their tracks. Ajay Camarero slammed his body straight into Fuller and the man from West Valley weighing 310 pounds and all of that weight crashing into Fuller and Camarero heard and felt a crack in the other and as quick as he could got off of Fuller and waved over medical staff and Refs. It was a sight of shock and worry at Joseph Smith Stadium as the medical staff rushed to attend to ColdHill football player Fuller, the running back for ColdHill, after a serious injury. The stadium went silent as everyone watched with mixed emotions of fear and anxiety as the medical staff worked quickly to get him out of the stadium. With his injury weighing heavily on everyone's minds, the BYU miners team felt horrible even more so on Camarero’s side about what had happened tonight night. It was a somber reminder that even in sports, there are risks and consequences for players' safety no matter what sport, but the show must go on and so it did with ColdHill attempting to find a running back to keep the game going. ColdHill switched from running to their more solid form of offense with Benoit Youngblood making throws, and well it ended up getting them closer to the field goal so they had to take a chance and with a kick it was now a 7-3 game. The end of the quarter has been a blessing in disguise for the ColdHill football team. After their running back suffered an injury tonight, they are now able to take a break and assess the situation. During this time, it is important for them to consider how they can improve their performance going forward and how best to manage their running back's injury. With some careful planning and strategic decision-making, ColdHill will be able to make the most out of this momentary respite.

THIS WILL BE A QUICK TIME SKIP TO THE END OF THE GAME (Because i am fairly lazy)

The score of 27 to 10 in favor of BYU was an impressive feat, but the kicker wanted to make sure that his contribution was recognized. He would be attempting a difficult kick that, if successful, would have earned him even more glory. Cullen Cline lined up the kick as best he could, because this was a kick from the 40 yard line and when the play started he ran and let the ball be guided by god. Cline kicked the ball as hard as he could, it was having a good trajectory.. And all BYU players went slack-jawed when Cline got it barely into the sweet spot and well it was an amazing feeling and with that their score was 30 to 10 and this game went to the BYU miners with an amazing 40 yard field goal! Look here and you will see the first ever BYU field rush and it's a good one!

It was a moment of pure elation and joy as the BYU team defied all odds and upset the second-ranked ColdHill in an incredible game. Everyone was in awe at what had just transpired and all that could be heard from the passionate fan who had been cheering for this team was "HOLY SHIT"! He couldn't believe what he had just seen as his beloved team pulled off this amazing result. Soon, his enthusiasm was contagious, as he was being lifted up by his fellow fans to celebrate this monumental victory for their beloved team! Blake laughed and threw up his arms and yelled looking around him and seeing his teammates also being lifted up, he looked down and saw Eliza and with that his smile could’t get wider!

After a great win on the field, the BYU team and coaches were filled with joy and enthusiasm. In the locker room, they celebrated together, jumping up and down and chanting "BYU''. Even the coaches joined in on the cheering, their voices would surely be hoarse and sore afterwards. It was an electrifying moment that brought everyone together in unity and excitement. No matter what people think about BYU, it was clear that they were on a warpath coming into the game with BSU, but to Blake it would be another battle of the QuarterBacks as he would be competing with Bobby Dials the starting Broncos Quarterback, this will finalizes the better QB in the Evermore Division and the final team rankings as this is a must win game for BSU and Blake knows it so prepping for this game would be everything and it is also a must win game for him and BYU so after that he decided to head back to his dorm this time and not to a eliza's house and he did make sure to let her know that.

Blake had just returned to his dorm after a long and hard game. He was exhausted and wanted to take a quick shower before starting his nightly routine. After freshening up, he and his dorm mate gathered with some other students for a scripture session. The session provided them with an opportunity to connect spiritually and share their stories of faith and all of their testimonies and why Joseph Smith was the true prophet of god. After words he wrapped up the session and headed to bed only after reading the book of Mormon.

Blake was in a state of unrest as he lay awake in his bed, unable to find sleep. His mind was troubled by the sins he had made, and he knew that he needed to make amends. Taking a deep breath, he got up and knelt down to pray, seeking forgiveness and a chance at redemption. He knew repentance was a one on one talk with god and not your local bishop and so he did, he talked with god about what had happened and that he was seeking for forgiveness and he felt some warmth in his chest and that's when he fully know god forgave him and soon he got up and smiled laying back in bed. That's when he slowly drifted off to sleep and it was a peaceful and warm sleep that night.

NSFB: Pain, Pain, Pain Everywhere

Postby TJUN-ia » Thu Mar 16, 2023 11:19 am

This week, the 7th of this NSCF season, would end up being one of the most chaotic overall in the history of the sport...and we would be right in the thick of it with both schools. So where did it all go so wrong?

Let's start with the Trent State Feathercaps and their trip to face Los Ventosas from 2-4 UPR Cui-ui. What happened on this day wasn't exactly the fault of QB Jason Steels, who threw 3 TDs via Yurilka Zelinskaya (twice) and Samantha Gibson, nor was it due to Eleonora "Firefeet" Scafakou who managed 3/3 on PATs and a 37-yard FG on top of that. But Steels did throw 2 pick-6s in this game and our D-Line allowed them to score another 4 on offense, with 5/6 on PATs at that. That would be worthy of a local fieldstorm...and there was nothing we could do.

Meanwhile, the Green City Royal Eagles were at Arena Mateo Y. Tassis to face Los Zorrillos of 4-2 UPAM-Boca Rana in a game that turned out to be even more frustrating for a team looking to bounceback from Alexandropolis the week before. Alisha Obi Michel was certainly pressured like hell by Bernardo Bojorquez and Logan Pandora as she only managed 1 TD via Harrison Jeffers all night, with Glory Oparanozie hitting that PAT and a FG. That was mainly because she also threw 2 pick-6s to Cédric Quintana, which gave the confidence Los Zorrillos needed to close out the game in style. César del Rey scored the 2 offensive TDs, one via a QB sneak and the other via Al Caballonoche, with Ez García going 3/4 on PATs with a 43-yard FG added onto that. That was certainly enough for the crowd to storm this field and suddenly, one of the few undefeated teams left had just lost 2 on the bounce.

The pieces of this weekend will have to be picked up everywhere and there is no telling what the fuck the Valanora Times' Top 5 is going to look like now, but our schools have to get their act together as the Heartland Divsion will have to be decided over the next 3 weeks. TSU starts on the road, at Jacob F Gleason Field no less, to take on the 3-4 UCBP Warriors in a game that may well decide if the defending MinCon Champs still have a chance of defining that crowd while GCU heads back to The Palace to host the 1-6 Mount Winston Diamond Hogs knowing that they must stop the skid no matter what. Things are going to get hot next week...as that precious Division Title comes back into view.
