Is the region Lazarus disrespectful to Bangladeshis?

Postby The Republic of Covelandia » Sat Dec 17, 2022 1:23 am

Back in 2016 bangladesh went through the biggest bank cyber hiest in history by the cyber group 'Lazarus' made by 5 group members only 2 been found and stole 1 billion tax earned cash from bangladesh that has apparently been runned by North korea but still a chance of North korea being framed, however is it disrespect to them and people of bangladesh descent?

The region of Lazarus was created in 2003, long before the hackers of the same name emerged.

Lazarus is a Biblical name and as such predates the existence of the country of Bangladesh by about 2000 years ;)

I mean, anyone who would actually believe that is either willfully mis/un/underinformed, or too thin-skinned to be using the internet anyways.

*shrug*. No doubt some people on this planet were once robbed by a guy named "John". If they now believe that someone being called John is disrespectful to them, I suggest they get professional help for their trauma asap. Same goes for the people you describe.

Where in the world did people get the idea that everything is aimed at upsetting them, or that they have a right to be upset with every little thing?

No, it's not disrespectful to Bangladeshis. If they choose site unseen to be offended, that's on them.

I have to wonder if OP thinks that an American who got scammed by a Bangladeshi call center, and decided to make that the personal problem of every Bangladeshi they meet, should be mollycoddled.

It's just silly. Like being offended by Brits calling chips crisps and fries chips.

Maybe the Bangladeshis are being disrespectful to Lazarus 8)

Seriously, this is dumb. I doubt most Bangladeshis know about NS, and those who do wouldn’t jump straight away going “AHAH! I found the criminals, stop being so disrespectful and stealing stuff” etc etc

Also, that was like, 7 or so years ago, and was ruined by North Korea, and I know for a fact that North Korea isn’t secretl running Lazarus.

Is anybody with any connections to Bangladesh actually offended by this? Men do not avoid NS because Female Supremacy exists, Discord users do not stray away because of Anti Discord Alliance nor does the existence of Communists Against Capitalism make most inhabitants of the Western world believe that NS is the site of a God-tier class war.

Perhaps, if you're so concerned about theoretically offending Bangladeshi people, you could spell "Bangladeshis" correctly :p

We bear the Bangladeshis no ill-will. We only stole the billion because we wanted a luxury mega-yacht. Finders keepers!

Probably an necro but i think Bangladeshis would probably be more offended by your ignorance of their sunni faith that wouldn't let an important follower of their prophet be tainted by one hacker group.

As we all know, "Bang" is the sound a gun makes. When they named their country after that, they were obviously disrespecting the victims of school shootings.
