Rankings & Procedural Notes

• Ken Deg Rooks (COA) as champions will be automatically entered into the group stage for RUCT 38. Should Ken Deg Rooks not qualify as one of the top four teams from the APOC Coalition, then they and the top three teams from the APOC Coalition will compete in RUCT 38.
• The top eight associations (Darmen, Neu Engollon, APOC Coalition, Kelssek, Lisander, Ko-oren, Abanhfleft and Quintessence of Dust) are entitled to enter four teams into RUCT 38.
• All other associations currently ranked will be able to enter three teams into RUCT 38.
• New associations will be eligible to enter two teams into RUCT 38.
• Updated rankings can be found here. The organizers of the RUCT ask that everyone would double check the rankings of their teams and association to identify any possible mistakes.
• Additionally, associations are invited to present host bids for the final of RUCT 38. If no bids are received, the National Rugby Stadium, Scott City, Darmen (50,000 capacity) will host the final once again.
• The tentative deadline for entrance into RUCT 38 is hereby set to 12:00pm CDT (UTC -5) on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021, or approximately 10 weeks from today. Depending on the status of the IRLCC, this deadline may be extended to a later date to bring the RUCT and IRLCC into sync.

It was the greatest surprise in Kriegiersien history in national rugby, maybe sports at all.
The seemingly unbeatable Timesteam was overcome by Drunk United in the Beer League by points and the third of the last year went on to win one of the most anticipated and thrilling Bowl finals against the Arrogant Airforce Academy.
The presidents beloved Pet Club and serial winner Timesteam at least won the Pan, qualifying for the RUCT.

The new format of the National Rugby Championship was meant to help shake things up. It did not however, as the usual suspects ended up on top of the table and then went on to win their relevant playoff matches to qualify for the RUCT. The Metro Saracens defeated the Rogerton Blues, 20-6, to claim their seventh NRC championship and those two franchises will be joined by the Southwestern Blue Tigers and Coastal Golden Chiefs in the 38th RUCT.

One thing the new format of the NRC did accomplish was add three games to the schedule, which gave franchises more home matches to earn revenue from. That, along with a higher television contract, gives hope to financially struggling clubs in the NCRC that they may begin to receive some financial assistance from their parent unions in the coming years.

Procedural Notes

• 39 teams from 14 associations were submitted for entry into RUCT 38. 14 clubs will contest a preliminary round, while the remaining 25 will qualify directly to the group stage.
• Despite receiving no entries from APOC Coalition (COA), Ken Deg Rooks (COA) were entered into the competition regardless as reigning RUCT champions.
• If you notice any mistakes, please feel free to smack the nearest Darmeni member of the RUCT organizing committee with a rotten trout. You should probably also point out what they got wrong too.

Final site selection
The RUCT organizing committee received two bids to host the final of the 38th edition of the Rugby Union Champions' Trophy: Lia Friedman Stadium, Monksea, Coral Coast, Hannasean Federation and Waterfront Dome, Kirkenes, Kelssek. After visiting both sites and reviewing their amenities and features, Waterfront Dome will host the final of RUCT 38, winning the committee vote 17-6.

Preliminary Round
The 14 clubs participating in the preliminary round are the lowest seeded clubs from each association, as well as the third seeded club from Quintessence of Dust. The 14 clubs participating in the preliminary round were separated into two pots before being randomly drawn against each other.

• As only one team from APOC Coalition competed rather than the four to which they were entitled, the association rank of APOC Coalition was divided by four rather than one to prevent the association from receiving a massive rankings boost in a season where they did not submit a fully scorinated season.
• Additionally, associations are invited to present host bids for the final of RUCT 39. If no bids are received, the National Rugby Stadium, Scott City, Darmen (50,000 capacity) will host the final once again.
• The tentative deadline for entrance into RUCT 39 is hereby set to 12:00pm CDT (UTC -5) on Saturday, January 29th, 2022, or approximately 10 weeks from today.

RUCT 38 saw a great run from the Arrogant Airforce Academy, who ended pummeled in the round of 16 and with Drunk United in the quarterfinals, uplifting the nation with this greatest success for Kriegiersien on club level in the Top 8, securing them 4 spots.
In the Kriegiersien championship everything went back to normal.
Timesteam got back their title, defeating the Arrogant Airforce Academy easily in the Bowl, after the match had to be suspended first. The stadium that had been initially chosen, standing at a lush resort by the sea, was washed away from a flood and then replaced by a stadium in Schoenwetter in the end.
Drunk United, barely beaten in the Beer League this time, again qualfied for the RUCT together with the Timey Academy, were the personal guard of the president gets trained, who got second in the military league.
