Palmyrion wrote:"Sounds like a plan to me." Johann replied. "Well, if you need someone with knowledge of blacksmithing, you have me. Been taught by my father from a young age before he died and turned over the hammer and anvil to me." he added.
Johann also thought of what they could bring in the Aherrad plains with them as food. "Speaking of making it out there, we could maybe get some food for the journey. How about it?"
Kaye shrugged, nodding.
"I'm no novice to the trade, but an extra set of hands is always welcome, not to mention another set of eyes."
Hearing the second question, she glanced down at the full basket of fruit in her other hand, lifting it up for Johann to see. The fruit inside was plenty fresh, clearly having been recently collected not long before the ship's arrival.
"Free basket of fruit from the shop, if you turn down their housing. Should be good for a week's rations, I reckon, more than enough to get to Aherrad and start digging."

"Aye I will go see him good merchant." He walked out and went to go see the man. His body was weighted by the want of exploration but the coppers in his name were no more but a chain around his foot. However this chain had a key that was income, income that he needed if he were to survive the first week and be able to hunt on his own like everyone else is doing. He only took a few steps and took a right to see the foreman and waved him down.
"Hail Foreman, I was told you need some extra hands for the mines? I'm willing to work if you would have me."
The foreman grinned a toothy grin, and nodded.
"Aye, laddy - ye'll make a noble and four knaves a day, twelve hour shift in the mine. Ye just dump whatever silver ye mine in the big ol' buckets up there, then walk back when the shift's over. Walk's an hour thataway, and the folks on duty'll take care of ye."
