The only State of the United States of America which is not part of Continental North America is Hawaii. I always feel bad for Hawaii, being so small and surrounded by sharks, and people saying "America" like Hawaii is only a naval base or something.

Some islands btw are considered part of a nearby continent ... if they're on that continental plate. Hawaii stands proud of the ocean floor: tallest mountains on Earth if you disregard the ocean.

But you know geography, and it's not my favorite subject anyway. Soil types and rainfall matter, but what do they teach in school? Random shapes with silly names.

I'm referring to American support for imperialism and the subjugation of other neighboring peoples even by foreign empires. America has always been an imperialist state, it's just at the end of the 19th century it decided to go global.
