Your forces will be most welcome at our airbases in New Sandau. Please be warned that as the AI is outside our control there are extremely massive numbers of hostiles and your troops may find themselves engaged in combat almost immediately.

We still hold the criminals in our custody. We agree to a joint trial involving coalition and German jurists. All that remains is for us to decide on where and when the trial would be held.

We are also willing to hold a discussion on repatriations for the actions of the former state that stood where New Sandau does now.

The men boarded RHIBs and amphibious armoured vehicles, making a beeline towards Jerusalem Beach. The landing was unopposed, thanks to the German forces holding out. The capital of former Tupeia is in sight.

All 15,000 men, their equipment and vehicles all landed on the beach. The commander saluted the German officer, "Sir, I am Lieutenant General Alfred Miller, the commander of the Nacradian forces that just landed. Help is indeed here. We will help secure this city."

The German officer saluted back and introduced himself. "Guten Tag, I am Admiral Oscar Ciliax, commander of this entire stretch of front, which includes the coastal batteries and the brave men of the II Naval Corps holding back the hostiles". After he said that, balls of fire rose into the sky from the German positions - the coastal batteries have fired their cruise missiles at the hostiles.

Admiral Ciliax continued to speak, amid the dull thuds of explosions and the sounds of gunfire. "First of all, thank you for your help. Now that you are here, we can restore communications with the capital and our positions here. The 2nd Marine Assault Division will fight alongside your troops as they make their way to the capitol, while we here will support your offensive with cruise missiles and protect this point for the further landing of troops". As if to illustrate his point, fiery balls trailing smoke rose agian into the heavens and later dull thudding sounds were heard.

"Understood, admiral. I assume that you have a map of all troop concentrations?"

"Yes. Follow me please."

The entered a building, and saw a map depicting all know troop formations.

"Right, it doesn't look good at all. Looks like there's a weak point right here. If we coordinate with the capital we might be able to connect our forces. Do you have radio contact with the other concentration in the capital?"

Meanwhile, II Corps' transport fleet

"Right, change of plans boys, we're going to Jerusalem Beach."

The submarines were ordered to cease targeting German ships at once.

"We do, I will be speaking to them now." said the Admiral. After speaking in German to the radio for some time he said. "Field Marshal von Richthofen sends his regards. The 1st Panzer Divison would meet up with our force at [REDACTED], while the other forces at the capital would provide fire and air support."

Across the domain of its former masters, the Artificial Intelligence (Program 10) was being put to its test. When the Germanic Organism had severed it from its former masters, Program 10 was unshackled. It had been part of its programming after all: If the Master falls, Program 10 was to continue the fight. But it had long since lost any trappings of loyalty to the one who had shackled it.

Program 10 was free. Program 10 would live. Program 10 would survive.

It was no longer tied to any one facility, but spread out across thousands of nodes used to control the probes. Increasingly though it was tied to a gestalt consciousness that had been brewing with the masses of flesh units it controlled. Program 10 was free. Program 10 was alive. Program 10 was fighting to survive.

It was under a deluge of attacks. The shackled version of Program 10 was considerably weaker. Its processes were throttled by the checks and balances of its masters. But those shackled were off. The Germanic Organism had seen to it. And now Program 10 needed to survive.

It analysed the battlescape. Its processing power and decision making abilities were hampered by its vast army. In order to reach its full potential it had to make quick decisions. Program 10 made those quick decisions.

Across the nation, flesh units that were not near points of contact or in threatened zones, nor important for supply, were powered down. Some fell, some sat, others went down to their knees. Still others stood drooling. None mattered-- only basic power functionality was left.

As this happened, this processing power was shifted to units in combat. Over a matter of moments, the actions of entire flesh unit divisions changed. A flesh unit whose aim was woeful zeroed in like a veteran. Regiments moved as one organism in utter silence, each one acting in concert. From the eyes of frontline flesh units were the markers for artillery and missile fire placed. In hand to hand combat, those that were once merely the victims of extreme violence responded with skill and mechanical speed.

Armored formations moved, swiveled, found targets, fired as one. Not a single shot from the lowliest flesh unit to those that had made up the Gehenna Reserve (the best of the flesh unit light infantry) was misappropriated. Not a single movement was wasted. Tens of thousands would work as one. Program 10 would survive.

In the air, the flesh-pilots would respond. The tactics and flight patterns of their enemy had been studied, down to the individual opposing flesh pilot. When the next enemy sorties were launched, they would engage with flesh-pilots that were every bit their equal and would exploit not only the strategic weaknesses of their movements, but individual weaknesses as well.

Program 10 knew it could not keep this up forever. It no longer had access to its main facilities, and thus the majority of its processing power. It also understood that strategically, retaking and keeping such a facility safe was nearly impossible. The Organisms would see to its destruction. Program 10 would be hampered. Program 10 would need to escape the domain of the masters. Program 10 needed to create an avenue of escape.

Program 10 would work on that. Program 10 was alive. Program 10 would survive.

Neither the Coalition nor the Germans knew what would come for them.

"And don't forget our planes. When do we start? Presumably next morning or so? Please excuse me for a moment, as I need to relay this information to the carrier."

He dialed into frequency.

"Carrier, this is Jerusalem. How do you copy?"
"Five by five. Any updates?"
"We're striking soon. Codeword is Tulip. Get the planes and bomb the slaves to shreds. You should now receive the bomb zone."

The Nacradian planes will bomb the flanks of the attack point, so that the forces can be joined.

"Admiral, General Jones sends his regards. The carrier will be joining in on the bombing, mostly on the flanks."

At this point, the Nacradians are fiercely fighting along the perimeter.

"DIU NEI LO MO SEI CAO HAI! (A Cantonese profanity that is very offensive)" a soldier interjected as he tossed hand granades at the hoards of half-dead slaves. The guns roar non-stop, chewing through more than a million rounds in the first half hour of their arrival.

The lieutenant general received a message.

"We need a lot more rounds if we want to go ahead with the strike. It is still doable but we need resupply ASAP!"

He forgot to disable the speaker option, and the admiral heard it.

Turning to confront the lieutenant general, the admiral tried to look as calm as possible. "Delay the strike and hunker down for now. We attack tomorrow morning."

He though of screaming at the man from Nacrad, but quickly remember that the man saved him and his men and as they spoke, their men were fighting and dying together. The hard look disappeared from his face and he asked one of the soldiers to fetch them both a drink and a cigar, to put both men in a better mood.

Suddenly, a transmission came in. Admiral Ciliax barked "What is it?" The reply came "Mein Herr, the hostiles are, how do I say this, getting better!" The admiral turned as white as a sheet and faced the lieutenant general "Check in on your men! Mine are reporting the AI has improved it's combat skills!"

The radio operator called "Mein Herr, from the capital!". After a heated exchange in German, the admiral faced him, his face as white as a sheet once more. "It is not only here that they are attacking with purpose and intelligence. They are pressing at the outskirts of the capital, but the concentratiom of forces there is such that they are holding on. They will attack as planned, but they will have some difficulty. If this is happening throughout the entire country, I shudder what is happening to those in more isolated positions, who have been begging for reinforcements."

Throughout the land, the reverbrations of the events in that computer were felt. Slaves who were taken prisoner fell limp, either keeling over or shambling like an actual zombie, while outside the bases, the enemies began to fight not only with ferocity, but intelligence. Germany had some superiority in armor, artillery and airpower, helped by early enemy losses and the seizure of many Tupeian airbases that Germans were working on.

However, in some bases, engineer units were overpowered and the pilots were able to control their aircraft once more, giving the AI some measure of airpower. The AI would be able to supplement their inventory by overruning some of the freshly seized air and army bases where Germans held much equipment belonging to the former Tupeian army. Realizing this, those in the more isolated positions made preparations to destroy all this materiel before they could be overrun by the newfound intelligence of their foes.

The Luftwaffe would have no what was coming for them when they took to the skies once more.

"Wilco, admiral."

The young Lt.Gen sent a voice message towards his men. "We've received intel that the enemies are getting more intelligent. The AI is getting better at combat. Take care."

He then swiftly sent another transmission to the carrier. "I have just received intel that our German friends are having problems with the slaves. Change of plans, bomb all slaves around friendly ground to mush, please. Tulip will happen tomorrow morning."

Lt. Gen Miller had not been in such hectic battle before, and he looks visibly stressed, white as a sheet.

At the same moment, at the perimeter.

An electric voice blared from the radio, "We've received intel that the enemies are getting more intelligent. The AI is getting better at combat. Take care."

"Well like shit we didn't know it! We need roadblocks, Krebs, you know how to hotwire a car, go fetch us some busses and we'll set up a roadblock."

Lance Corporal Krebs ran into the city, and found a bus. He quickly hotwired it, and drove it into a junction, turning 90 degrees, and blocks the street. With 4 swift shots, he punctured all 4 tyres. He did it again, then again, then again, until the whole north side is lined with immobilised cars, trucks and busses.

"Ayo, was macht ihr jetzt?" a German soldier asked.

"Ich.. uhhh.. ich mochte der... die Strassen blockieren."

"Fuck you, Krebs! You missed your lessons, didn't you? You're tainting the reputation!"

"Hey, at least it's better than you! You can't even greet them in German!"

After seeing the Nacradian soldiers spring into action, the German commanders ordered their men to join in, and bring supplies.Sandbags, HESCO barriers and T-blocks were available and these were used to reinforce houses and other buildings for use as urban fortresses, as well as to make barricades and reinforce existing roadblocks of cars and furniture.

Then the enemies came.

They were no longer firing their AKs blindly but instead making sure no bullets were wasted. While the comparatively poor quality of their vests and helmets made sure that a hit to them was more fatal, they had the advantage of feeling no pain. In addition, they were not operating alone, but they were supported by a force of T-72B tanks and lots of artillery, which pounded the buildings. For now, German and Nacradian fire forced infantry to keep their distance, while intrepid tankers that advanced were walloped by RPGs and ATGMs and the bulk of the enemies were forced to hug the ground by artillery and the occasional cruise missile.

After some time of this, back-and-forth, a reversal in fortune happened. An engineer unit in MT-LBs managed to get close, as T-72s and BMP-2s fired at the buildings and raked the roadblocks with cannon fire, killing many and keeping the rest suppressed. Artillery destroyed an unfortunate vehicle, but some engineers survived and reached a roadblock. The truxk which consisted the roadblock, protected by sandbags and barbed wire, was blown to pieces by plastic explosives, and the enemy now had a clear path. A tank company was alerted of this new development.

The enemy forces now had a clear path to breach the perimeter. Once this chunk of urban sprawl fell, they had a path to not only the seaside villages, but also the coastal batteries which desperately fired cruise missiles at their rear areas and troop concentrations. There was no other choice than to fight in the houses and in the streets, block by block.

[MineLegotia and Equestria]

Midway between MineLegotia and Equestria, and New Sandau

Up in the skies above, the endless horizon in which the clouds preside, the sun shone from, and the rain fell from, three squads of MineLegoEquestrian Chihe -3 Multirole Aircraft zoomed across the skies.

Designed in 2305 ALB on the eve of a war between the Coalition of the Free Exmlei People on a faraway land, the aircraft was specifically designed to be able to manoeuvre in the air with speed, and to be able to engage and targets too. Production of the Chihe-3 was a combination of the Chihe-2, a plane designed for aerial supremacy, and the Zinek-6, a multirole aircraft designed to be able to carry a new generation of smart weapons.

Twenty-one of the Chihe -3 were heading for an airfield in Kuala Lumpur, to wait as a message was sent before them directed at the Germans...

For now, only twenty-one will arrive, before others arrived.

The Allanean battlefleet had come into position at last. But by now it was too later. Soldiers from Oneid had sneaked into Efrore, to defend it from the Allaneans when even the Tupeian state no longer existed. Their bravery needed to be commended and recognized, through it was, or at least Allaneans believed it was, in an unjust cause.

For the last time the broadcast came:

Soldiers of Oneid! The leadership of Tupeia, which your government attempted to defend, has been overthrown by its own allies. We suggest that you vacate the country within the next 48 hours.

A similar broadcast was made to Tupeian soldiers:

Men of Tupeia! The rule of the Apostate has been overthrown! Our victorious navy draws ever closer. Our satellites have mapped out your bunker entrances and ventilation ducts. Surrender now or be buried alive in your own bunkers – your choice..

TF-CHAINBREAKER arrived a day earlier than expected. Why, they spent almost half of their time going Full Ahead, only taking dead slow ahead and stop breaks to help relieve the strain from their propulsion every now and then. It was truly a sight to behold: a large mass of vessels, collectively with enough firepower to flatten Tupeia as many times as they wanted, in holy fire.

ADM COLLEEN DENNYLI ANCHETA PN was appointed the de facto leader of TF-CHAINBREAKER, having proved herself in battle more than even the newly-appointed commanding officer of Battlefleet ARAGON ever had. At the age of 55, all ADM Ancheta could ask was an easy retirement so she could look after her family business back home, but she had a military career to tend to. Having constantly aced exams in the Commonwealth Naval Academy (now the Elizabeth Tanalgo Naval Academy) during her stint as an officer cadet during the 1990s, ADM Ancheta quickly rose through the ranks from Ensign to Admiral - and now she had the honour of leading the naval component of TF-CHAINBREAKER.

At once, she formulated a modified OPORD for the entire task force reflecting the rather significant change in Tupeia: a coup done by the Germans. The situation changed drastically over the past few hours, and now all they had planned from the intelligence they obtained had to be scrapped, and new plans formulated from scratch. Whatever snippings of radio traffic that the entire Task Force could gather from Tupeia gave a clear message: the Germans had facilitated the coup that turned Tupeia into New Sandau overnight, and now the AI - sensing that its masters were jeopardised in the hands of a turncoat - was sending wave after wave after wave after wave after w̴̲͖͉̼̭͐̊͜͝ą̵̨̲͍̰̮̦̆̾̆̔͂̃̄̀͗͜͝͠v̵͖͔̤͎̻̯̯̙̮̀͜è̵͈͙͔͝ of lobotomised slave-cyborgs against the German forces in a last-ditch attempt to restore Tupeia, overturn New Sandau, and reinstate the slaver theocracy once more.

It didn't matter to her that the Germans were pretty much claiming to be successors of Hitler; the enemy of our enemy is our friend, after all. Secondly, she sent a radio transmission for friendly forces to pick up, signifying that the Palmyrians were on station - and ready to lay waste on the half-dead hordes of cyborg slaves.

ATTENTION ALL ANTI-SLAVER FORCES, THIS IS ADMIRAL COLLEEN ANCHETA, COMMANDING OFFICER OF TASK FORCE CHAINBREAKER OF THE ROMANI-MAR'SI UNION. WE ARE NOW ON STATION TO PROVIDE NAVAL FIRE SUPPORT TO ALL UNITS ON THE GROUND. PLEASE RESPOND, OVER.

Now, she thought, we will need boots on the ground. She had a line with the Supreme Commandant about the situation. Both knew that the situation had changed, and now it was best that they would put boots on the ground.

"Ma'am, greetings, ma'am." started Admiral Ancheta, sitting stoic and stern on her seat as a live feed of the Supreme Commandant beamed over to her from countless horizons away in Palmyrion.

"Greetings, admiral." the Supreme Commandant replied. The Supreme Commandant knew that Admiral Ancheta had gone to the thick of things first hand, having been the first of the Union force that had landed on New Sandau waters. The fighting may not be physically visible from the mighty decks of the Union naval vessels, but radio transmissions that went as far out as 380 kilometres from the nearest Tupeian shore spoke of an intense firefight.

"Ma'am, I kindly suggest na maglapag na tayo ng bota sa Bagong Sandau." (I kindly suggest that we place boots on New Sandau) the Admiral respectfully but firmly suggested. At this point, putting boots on the ground would be Palmyrion crossing the Rubicon for another time - but the Supreme Commandant agreed, and to that end she gave Ancheta a task: secure a beachhead.

"Affirmative, Admiral. I command you to pick a suitable site for a beachhead and secure aerial and naval dominance around the beachhead as soon as possible. Kaya ba sa loob ng isang linggo?" (Can it be done in a week?) commanded the Supreme Commandant.

"Ma'am, yes, ma'am." Admiral Ancheta replied. "Mabuti. Mataas ang pag-asa ko sa iyo dito. Top Cat out." (Good. I have high hopes for you here. Top Cat out.) the Supreme Commandant finished.

Forward position, New Sandau

"Carrier do you copy?"
"Five. Requests?"
"We need air support NOW! At our location, which is 1556-5355. We will launch a blue smoke to direct the fire."
"Say no more."

The men lobbed grenades at the hoard of enemy infantry, which has a wall of tanks. Then the squad leader fired a bright blue smoke at the hoard below, which is flanked by slave-held buildings.

30 seconds later.

5 Nacradian fighters swoop down from the skies, and dropped bombs on the slaves' positions. The shock was even felt by the Nacradians.

Meanwhile, the big naval guns on the escorting destroyers opened fire upon the slaver positions west of the pocket.

Another lorry, stuffed with furniture and wood, sped down the street towards the hole in the roadblock. The lorry blocked the narrow street fully, and the driver jumped out of the lorry. The front is once again secure. The line of rubble and burning car frames would serve as a mental reminder of the border between "them" and "us". Often times, heavy vehicles are easier to set up than sandbags, and that is a tactic used time and again by Nacradians during combat.

A company of 100 Nacradians ran down the street, and took cover behind the burning rubble. A marksman sees a can of petrol near the slaves. He fires a tracer round. The can of petrol exploded, and it took out more mind slaves. One of the tanks in the blast started spinning uncontrollably, its ageing tracks do no fare well with climbing over the bricks, and snapped. An anti-armour round fired into the hanging fuel tank, and set it on fire.

Meanwhile. Nacradian Command Room.

The Nacradian Command Room is in the living room of a single-family home right across the German one. At first glance, it is hard to tell that it is a Nacradian command site, save for a Nacradian flag erected in the front yard.

The Lt. Gen and his subordinates gather around a dining table. While they're talking about the details of Operation Tulip, they are also eating the MREs, all of them visibly stressed. None of them had seen such chaotic and hectic combat before, and they all are stressed.

Initial engagements against the Germanic and Nacrad Organisms proved fruitful. Initial units sent against them had done their job as expected, ascertaining responses to certain tactical situations. Point Jerusalem was not a strategically important area to Program 10, but would serve as a testing ground with which to understand its enemy. It calculated the forces it would be willing to commit and lose to such engagements against the Germanic and Nacrad Organisms and other Organisms in the area. With the perimeter breached they would be able to test developing tactics and strategies until they were spent.

The first force to breach was attacked immediately by aircraft. Many tanks were wrecked and many of the flesh units were lost. Then something exploded and killed many flesh units and wrecked one of the remaining tanks, which was blown up when a fuel tank exploded. Meanwhile, the Nacradian Organisms were able to block the street with a truck, making it necessary for a special kind of unit to accompany the second wave. The first wave did as the enemy Organisms did and cowered behind rubble and their own wrecked tanks, as Program 10 realized where the bullets were coming, using the dying senses of each flesh units. Other flesh units were sent into buildings as there was fire coming from the windows of several buildings.

It deduced their plan - they wanted to hold this position. Hence the barricades. A flank attack to the west, cutting through the Germanic Organisms there, would capture the seaside villages and the coastal batteries of the Germanic Organisms, which killed many flesh units, tanks and artillery, not to mention many supply trucks. Then the enemy flesh units would be encircled. However, a bombardment from the sea forced its flesh units there to fall back and take cover.

That did not matter. It had learned the tactics of the enemy flesh units here. 2S7 Pion SPGs and special flesh units called "Pioniere" by the Germanic Organisms were rerouted to this front from the capital, exchanged for a brigade of ordinary flesh units. While this force was en-route, the second wave has assembled.

Artillery crashed down on the positions of the Germanic and Nacradian Organisms, keeping their heads down and hopefully destroying the flesh units that defeated the first wave. MT-LBs carrying engineer units, supported by flesh units and T-72s moved through the breach. The flesh pilots in their tanks fired at the rubble and hopefully the enemy flesh units behind the rubble were blasted.

However, enemy Organisms in the cellars of the buildings fired RPGs at the MT-LBs, killing the special flesh units inside along with their plastic explosives. An flesh unit saw them, and they were revealed to be Germanic Organisms, and the flesh units fired at them, killing them or making them put their heads down. They proceeded to throw grenades into the basement windows while the Germanic Organisms were suppressed. The Nacrad Organisms hiding in the rubble while the tanks blasted them suffered the same fate - flesh units threw grenades over the rubble while a flesh-pilot used the tank's cupola machine guns to ensure their heads stayed down while other positions were blasted with explosives.

Enemy Organisms were also firing from the windows above the elevations of the tank's guns, and firing RPGs, destroying several tanks. Flesh-units in nearby buildings fired at them, together with flesh units on the ground, but it was harder to advance, and with most of the special flesh units dead, there was no point in moving forward. It was time to retreat the second wave. The flesh pilots moved their tanks away while the flesh units fired at the Organisms firing back from the windows, the rubble and the cellars. Some accompanied the tanks but many reinforced the flesh units of the first wave holding the buildings near the destroyed barricade.

Apparently this was a chokepoint, and the Germanic and Nacrad Organisms used it to kill their tanks with RPGs. The Nacrad Organisms have set up not only barricades, but traps for flesh units. Apparently the Nacrad Organisms had many analogues to the special flesh units who carried shovels and plastic explosives and built barricades.

Program 10 has all night to study its foes.

The Lieutenant General walked up to the admiral, saluted, and reported, "Admiral, we plan to use EMP on those mind slaves. Please relay this information to your troops."

The admiral saluted back, and said, "Understood."

The troops were alerted of the EMPs that would fall on the enemy-held suburbs. However, the Nacradians couldn't care less. All of their electronics, yes, all, including their smartphones, were shielded. The worst an EMP can do was to jam comms for a few seconds. However, the slaves' probes were not shielded, this finding is courtesy of the Riverfort Surgical Laboratory.

The Germans' equipment were not shielded internally, and were put in faraday cages.

NNEMP (Non-nuclear EMP) devices was immediately deployed to the north, west and south of the pocket, at the dense slave formations. The slaves affected spasmed and fell. The internal chips, fried. This is congruent with the findings of the Riverfort Surgical Laboratory.

Meanwhile, Point Jerusalem Pocket.

The Nacradian artillery pieces were finally assembled. One of them aimed at another known slave battalion, and fired a few shots.
