According to CNN with 1 % of the votes Democrat Steve Beshear has a strong lead 0f 50.90 % to 47.80 % for Republican Governor Matt Bevin. I am trying to find the results on the Kentucky Secretary of State's office links and it is like finding a needle in a Kentucky Haystack.

Can you help me find it?

I care about this election because I have American conservative Republican Friends in Kentucky the Hix family, which I have visited twice in Kentucky.

I think NYT allows you to visit 3 free articles, so this is a solid link;

Here.

It's updated in live time.

Polls are now closed in Mississippi. I'll remind everyone looking that the popular vote only tells half the story, the winner must also carry a majority of House Districts.

In the end - it was more a referendum on Bevin himself. One can be from the same party as oneself and still be a crappy governor. A lot of conservative Kentuckians were wary of Bevin and crossed lines - not to mention, Beshear is pretty conservative for a Democrat, as are most Democrats south of the Mason Dixon line.

Looking at the razor-thin margin, it's plausible that teachers may have swung the election. That fills me with pride ngl. It looks like the final margin will be about 5,000. It's not unlikely that 10,000 or so teachers or people in a teacher family voted, the vast majority of whom would've gone for Beshear.

Yeah, according to the NYT right now, Beshear is going to win by about 4600 votes. I'm not a Kentuckian but from what I'd read about Bevin, I'd really never liked the guy so I'm glad he'll be leaving office. I guess Trump was right when he said there was an angry majority there in Kentucky, it just wasn't the majority he thought it was.

In the meantime, all 5 of New York City's major amendments, including IRV for municipal races, appear to have been approved. Elsewhere in initiatives:

Colorado's Prop CC: Rejected
Maine's Question 2: Approved
New Jersey's Question 1(the property tax refund for veterans): Approved
Texas' Prop 1: Rejected
Texas' Prop 2: Approved
Texas' Prop 3: Approved
Texas' Prop 4: Approved
Texas' Prop 5: Approved
Texas' Prop 6: Approved
Texas' Prop 7: Approved
Texas' Prop 8: Approved
Texas' Prop 10: Approved

Plus, although no one's saying it yet, I think Reeves will make both thresholds and win if the current numbers are any indication.

Working Families' Party Kendra Brooks wins comfortably in Philly city council, while WFP Nicolas O'Rourke and Republican David Oh are close.
2 seats out of seven are reserved for non-Democrats.

That’s quite a shocking result. Democrats won the Virginia legislature and also scored a big upset in the Wichita mayor race

I didn't see Wichita, I'll have to look at it. Socialists and Democrats are close in several Seattle council seats. I personally have mixed on feelings on those races - I want to be tough on Amazon, but I disagree with the socialists on homelessness.

Thank you Shrilland and Major-Tom for the links to the Kentucky Governors race. I still cant find anything on the Kentucky Secretary of States website pages, I cant understand it.

Major-Tom stated and predicted the Kentucky governors election results"
Bevin seems to be performing about 10-15 points lower than Trump's performance in 2016 in nearly every county with early results. It's going to be a nail-biter, I'm sure.

I give Major-Tom credit where credit is due.

The official results of the Kentucky Governors 2019 election according to Politico and the NYT for the historical record and the threads historical record.

0 028 426 - 01.97 0508 2311 3161 8‬ % - For Libertarian John Hicks‬
0 704 523 - 48.83 7978 2776 8735‬ 0 % - For Republican Governor Matt Bevin‬
0 709 623 - 49.19 1513 4911 8103‬ 0 % - For Democrat Governor Elect Andy Beshear‬

Democrat Andy Beshear by 5,100 votes and about 00.35 3535 2134 9368 %

According to my calculator, I love math, statistics and accounting my profession, I love doing this kind of stuff, it is on my sig.

All Percents % slightly adjusted and don't add up to 100 % this time, I don't know why.

Sad day for me and my American conservative Republican friends in Kentucky I have visited twice. Where we played bluegrass, country music and danced too at their family ranch farm, barbecued and sang country music songs and rode horses. I love country music which Made America Great - The USA.

Black African American Republican Daniel Cameron won Tuesday's race for Kentucky Attorney General, and it was a historic victory. He is going to be the Commonwealth’s first African American Attorney General ever, as well as the first Republican Attorney General since 1948.

He defeated former Democratic Attorney General and former Speaker of the Kentucky House of Representatives Greg Stumbo to make it happen.

Daniel Cameron Twitter:
Thank you to the people of Kentucky. It’s a great honor to be your next Attorney General and I look forward to hitting the ground running

Republican Attorneys General Association Chairman and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton was ecstatic about the news.

"Kentucky voters sent a strong signal tonight: They want Daniel Cameron to clean up decades of Democrat dysfunction and restore credibility to the Attorney General’s Office," Paxton said in a statement.

For the first time in a generation, Kentucky will have an Attorney General who is focused on supporting and defending the rule of law and Kentucky’s law enforcement community, and more interested in fighting public safety challenges than political opponents.

Daniel was an excellent candidate and as Kentucky Attorney General, will make every Kentuckian proud of the Commonwealth.”

During the campaign Cameron claimed to have been the victim of insensitive racial slurs because of his politics, but said he believed in the values of the Republican Party. He campaigned on pro-life policies, gun rights and anti-illegal immigration, according to Kentucky.com. Link Provided.

"The Democratic Party needs to stop telling black Republicans how to think,” he said in August.

Cameron previously served as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s legal counsel in Washington, D.C.

We are still awaiting the results of Kentucky's gubernatorial election, where Republican Gov. Matt Bevin is in a virtual tie with outgoing Attorney General Andy Beshear.

I am under no illusions I can change leftists minds on the credibility of any right ring news sources and videos, on the Republicans and on President Trump.

Black African American Republican Daniel Cameron wins as Kentucky's first African American Attorney general by 822 932 votes for to 602 004 votes for Democrat Gregory Stumbo of Euro descent out of a total of 1 424 936 votes.

By 220 908 votes and 15.50 4415 6369 1282 % - According to my calculator -

All Percents slightly adjusted and adds up to 100 % in this case.

Notice he got 118 409 more votes than Republican Governor Matt Bevin and 113 309 more votes than Democrat Governor elect Andy Beshear, Governor Matt Bevin should have been able to get more than an extra 5,100 votes. Even if perhaps many African American voters voted for Daniel Cameron I don't know just saying.

Again Major-Tom seems to be right:
In the end - it was more a referendum on Bevin himself. One can be from the same party as oneself and still be a crappy governor. Awesome that an African American Republican won the Kentucky Attorney Generals race against a Democrat of Euro descent. African Americans are Republicans too, and are not mentally ill persons for supporting the Republicans and President Trump. As two Democrat African American leaders stated, one of them a pastor, shame on the pastor. African American supporters of the Republicans and President Trump should now wear it with Pride.

Like I now wear with Pride Hillary calling Trump supporters deplorables and a basket of deplorables and the deplorables won and those who have called me a snowflake, I now wear it with Pride.

Meanwhile, in the state legislative seats, most of them were holds except for Missouri's HD-99(Manchester), where the Democrats took the seat, New Jersey's SD-1(Vineland-Cape May), where Republicans took the seat. Some of these have gone to December runoffs, which we'll get to. In the meantime, there's one state level byelection next week, the general for Alabama's HD-74(Montgomery-Arrowhead), which will likely be a GOP hold. Also, Colorado's Prop DD has been approved.

I once tried to K Me. Posted It and Reported. Locked by Mods. I am Autistic accounts for Repetitive Nature. I am Very Civil and Respectful to all on NS and off NS. My Opinions Are Not Bad Opinions No Ones Opinions Are Bad Opinons. We are on NS, to share, discuss, argue, disagree, on Trump, elections, Republicans, Democrats, Socialists, Libertarians and whatevers, with respect. This Respect Is Given It Is Not Earned, This Respect Is Called Freedom of Expression and Democracy. This Man Always Says What He Means, I Am The Real Thing. I Make Ted Cruz look like a Leftist. I have been on NS For over 10 Years with a Perfect Record of No Baiting, Trolling, Flaming, or Using Foul Language. I Am Very Proud of It and Wish To Keep My Record Clean. But I Am Not The Only One On NS. GMS. I'm Based.
