Before the Message
About thirty Lethen naval infantry poured into a more rural port in Kagoshima and swiftly overran local police. After threatening most of the locals into fleeing or staying in designated hostage buildings, the modern vikings began to plunder the buildings like mad, tearing things down. After stealing a good few hundred thousand dollars worth of items and then causing a few million more in incendiary damage to non-hostage buildings, the soldiers swiftly hopped back into their boats and departed.

However, another group of pirates, numbering almost 100, arrived in Jeju with newer orders. They were told to kidnap civilians on top of raiding. They did the same as their allies in Kagoshima did. Steal a lot of things, burn and destroy a lot of things. Now, with most of the raiding done, the soldiers entered hostage buildings. The civilians looked back with nervous stares, wondering if they were going to be killed or ransom. Lethen soldiers suddenly scooped up young women (especially the pretty ones) and mothers onto their shoulders, snatched their children, and left the building full of angry, vengeful men and the remaining women. The women were restrained, chucked onto the boats with the rest of the loot, and whisked away.

These were only two of about seven raids, targeting out-of-the way ports in China, Korea, and Southern Japan. Only one of the raids hit actual Japan, while two struck Japanese Korea and four went for Japanese territories in China.

After the Message
Hearing that Japan was preparing to sacrifice themselves, all 450 Lethen pirate ships began sailing to meet up in the upper end of the South China sea, except for the thirty that just raided who were off to claim their Chuckian bounties.
