I don't believe for a moment that the so-called ambassador from Wherever is telling the truth, that his nation sold millions and millions of square miles of its own land in the course of a day just to avoid compliance with a rather straight-forward, common sense, relatively low-cost initiative like this."

And before you decide to be a smartass and say "bridges," the supports have to go deep and the shade from the bridge-roads and the footprint from the big-ass supports would be enough to be "development" of the swamps. We also need to clear land for farms, for food for the humans and feed for the animals to feed the elves."

But now we fight for the protection of wetlands that may or may not exist based on the Regions RP choices. I know for a fact that on Terra the main hub for RP in the Democratic Commonwealth there are very few wetlands and so far have not been touched. This is an issue for the local and regional governments to decide how to treat their wetlands if they have any. This should not be something that the World Assembly should enforce or consider on dictating to us the members and those outside its membership. That's why I vote no.
