Melanie was born screaming into the world. While someone would attribute that to a healthy set of lungs, her parents, Robert and Verga soon discovered that it was anger that drove the wailing infant. At times she would refuse to eat, and when she did, food and plates went everywhere. Originally, her parents thought she would grow out of it, but her fits of temper only continued. Both of her parents, being military parents and often deployed, they had neither the time or patience to deal with Melanie's issues. Nothing seemed to work, and so they eventually gave up, being too focused on rising in the military than on their daughter. And so, inherent anger festered within her, throughout her school years. The moment Melanie graduated from high school, her parents intended to take her to the closest recruiting station and sign her up for the army. They had managed to get her in the car, promising one thing or another to the unruly young adult, before they revealed their plan. Melanie, however, had no intention of joining the army and attempted to make her escape from the moving car driving on the highway.
However, the doors were locked, and so the young woman stewed and let her anger boil up as they pulled into the parking lot of the recruiting station.Suddenly she saw things, directions, arrows appear everywhere around her. She knew, at that moment, that a simple tug on the car would send her in the opposite direction of the station, and so, she immediately tugged on it. Despite her father's efforts, the car was sent flying back onto the highway. And for once, Melanie resolved to show the world that had ignored and spit on her what she could do. And so, chaos was unleashed on that highway. Parts of cars went spinning in opposite directions, trees splintered, and the doors on her family's cars tore themselves free and burst away, allowing her to step, calmly out into the highway. Her parents screamed at her, already fumbling for their weapons, but she was the conductor of the maelstrom. She rose a hand, and she flew and people fell, the foundations of the recruiting station shot out of the ground, and for that moment, she felt like a god, righteous and terrible.
But then a shot rang out, piercing her shoulder, and she began to fall. It was a simple matter, however, to reverse her own movement, and linger up in the air, to see the smoking gun of her mother. It was this final betrayal that caused something to snap within her, and all she could remember was a boil within, some roughness just beneath her skin and a flickering spark beneath her fingers.
When she awoke, all she knew was the splatter of blood and the smell of ash. They all looked at her, some few with pity, others with hate, like she was a mad dog, and others, the worst of them all, with a cool gaze that said that she might be useful. And she was. They did not give her much option, it was either prison or service. She chose to serve. After they had got her powers down and had built her a suit of armor meant to contain her, and then they had sent her off to fight America's enemies. She was one of the first, they told her, to use their powers for the benefit of the country, and that was their excuse when they sent her off to fight terrorists by bringing terror, to be an angry god. And when she broke out of the containment suit, they told her that it was fitting. She didn't believe them, but she had no choice, and so she was a loyal dog, a patriot to the masses, defending them from enemies they would never know. That is not to say that all of the things that she did as a soldier was bad, she had brought fiery justice and vengeance to some truly sick individuals, but it was hard to distinguish the good she did from the bad when there was always so much blood. But the publicity events had been nice in their own way, where she was adored as a watchful protector, the last bastion, and a torch in the storm. They called her Brand, and to some, she was a god.
How foolish they had been. She had fought in the Golden Morning, not by choice, and then when the real gods came, she had fought some of them too. But then the United States had shattered, and the military with it, and she had taken her chance at freedom, escaping them all, and living simply, attempting to avoid everyone. That has gone...well, you'll see.
- The Ramp: This is how Melanie refers to her powers as a whole. At the very base, 0, Melanie possesses one singular power. She continues to have this power both up and down the ramp, though its properties change. Melanie can go up the Ramp in two ways, one, she does not use her powers, at all, for at least 2 days at the very minimum, or she can get angry. Very, very, very angry. The longer she goes without using her powers, or the angrier that she is, the more charge/power she has stored up, or at least she can skip several stages of her power, and vice versa. Melanie prefers to stay on the lower ends of the Ramp, as her powers tend to be very destructive, which means she is constantly using her powers. Now, as for the actual powers....
- Levels 0-50 - Vector Manipulation: Melanie's most basic power is vector manipulation. With it, she can change the magnitude and direction of moving objects. She cannot move stationary objects, things must be in motion in order to be manipulated. She cannot manipulate the vectors of things more than 10 feet away at lower levels, and while that increases to 20 feet at higher levels (within 0-50) her control and accuracy gets a bit iffy and choppy. Physical objects are the easiest for Melanie to move, energy is impossible for her to move. Melanie generally uses a long metal arrow to direct attacks. Her range with the arrow is limited by line of sight. At levels beyond 50, Melanie's general vector range shrinks to 2 feet, although her range with the arrow remains the same.
- Levels 40-100 - Scale Exoskeleton: As Melanie's journey up the ramp increases, she begins to grow scales that are quite durable. The scales thicken with the higher level but are generally durable enough to prevent wounds from bullets or other such projectiles. Thicker scales do slow her down, and the higher up the Ramp, the more of an inhuman appearance Melanie garners.
- Levels 50-100 - Explosion Generation: At her highest levels, Melanie can create localized explosions with a touch. The most one of her explosions could damage/destroy would be a small building, although explosions can be stacked for greater effect. Melanie's explosions can also be time-delayed, but cannot be triggered by anything other than Melanie herself. Generally, she is immune to her own explosions, but she hasn't exactly tried to blow herself up yet, so..yeah. Also, Melanie can only create explosions not manipulate explosions that are not her own. Explosions cannot be placed on sentient/living matter (plants are fair game tho), although they can affect such organisms. The cold has a strange effect on her explosions, either muting their effect or making them unlikely to work at all.

Teleportation: Expert Level: The original power of Victor Pope Jr., where he's able to move great distances or move other objects. His greatest uses for the ability are his offensive techniques, which are incredible to say the least. He is able to teleport apart objects, redirect attacks, and appear and re-appear all around a battlefield at random. The only time his teleportation ability runs out is when his body is physically exhausted, which is a limitation that has been almost entirely removed by Walt Bismarck's modifications to his body.
Cyber Mind: Most of his neural connections have been replaced and re-routed using synthetics, producing a lightning-fast computer brain that Victor makes use of to calculate his teleportation jumps and their affects, as well as to simulate battles in-real time to operate at peak capacity.
Bionic Physiology: Victor Pope is almost entirely mechanically at this point, with parts lingering a in a bio-mechanical limbo with few remaining human aspects about him. He is the most successful of Walt's experiments regarding cyborgization, being one of the few superhumans who was able to retain total functional control of their powers after the extensive modifications.

As the Golden Morning occurred, however, he and several superhumans banded together in order to protect themselves and their loved ones. To make ends meet, he turned to mercenary work, using his teleportation abilities to become an effective mercenary, assassin, bodyguard, and all-purpose super-for-hire.
All it took was one deal gone wrong, and Victor was left for dead by a client who refused to pay his service fee. The man was a super himself, who caught Victor off-guard by rigging their meeting room to explode. The client was a hyper-durable and hyper-regenerator meta who tanked the blast, but Victor wasn't lucky enough to teleport in time. Left for dead, it was pure coincidence that a drone of Walt Bismarck happened upon the blast sight. Finding the body of Victor, realizing it's important applications and potential, as well as Walt's experiments on superpower cyborg technology, Bismarck saved Victor and basically rebuilt him from the ground up. Unable to fully remember his past life, Victor became somewhat of a hitman for Walt, as well as a thief who specialized in stealing technology from rivals or things that grew Walt's interest.

Divine Condition: Renais is a god, and as such possesses certain... benefits. Such as physical abilities greater than any mortal, immortality, the whole package. That doesn't mean his occasional bad jokes are any less painful, it just means you can't get rid of him if he doesn't want to leave.
Wandering: Renais can appear in multiple places at once, due to his wandering nature. He possesses a perfect mental map of the entire planet, along with anywhere else he's ever been. To further portray the stereotype of an American wanderer/hitchhiker, Renais is proficient in controlling almost all vehicles (but has more trouble with the futuristic ones).
Renais also has access to a parallel plane called The Road. It's akin to a highway system, connecting points across the world and beyond; a fast-travel network, if you will. Whenever someone gets lost (physically or mentally) while traveling, be it by boat, plane, car, train, or foot, they end up on The Road. It is not a malevolent plane, The Road will just as easily release its accidental captives if they can find enjoyment in their travels, but along The Road there is always a friendly diner and motel willing to feed and house travelers. This is essentially Renais' private domain, where he can go to be alone if he wishes or to meet other travelers such as himself.
Travel: In combat, Renais (regretfully) uses his gift of divine speed to challenge foes. Though the god himself is more fond of the scenic route, he has been in more than enough bar room brawls to know that sometimes force wins out over a quick smile and a laugh. Akin to a certain crimson-and-gold speedster, though with the perk of being able to turn these abilities off at times, Renais moves, thinks, and reacts faster than most others can even recognize a threat. And that means his supersonic (or even faster) punches are nothing to joke at. He is capable of flight, via walking in the air, as well.
He also possesses the power of teleportation; instant travel, with infinite range and very little cooldown between uses (teleporting more mass takes more effort, obviously). But Renais despises using this ability unless absolutely necessary. He claims it "ruins the experience."

Zarkenis Ultima wrote:Name: Leyrikka, Dragon Rider of Leyshana, Daughter of Morrick
Dominion: N/A
Gender: Female
Appearance: Here
Bio: Leyrikka, despite what her title may imply, is not a human or the actual biological child of Morrick. Rather, she is a special type of automaton, a gynoid designed by Morrick the Mason to emulate most physiological and psychological functions of a human being, supposedly with the objective of conducting research on the nature of humans as well as determining the potential usefulness of similar assets. Of course, to most people with a healthy degree of insight it would be readily apparent that this was a poor justification for what was mostly the fruit of a God's profound curiosity. Be that as it may, ever since her creation a year after Aldraxia's foundation, Leyrikka has been serving as a priestess of sorts for the exiled Agarthian gods and goddesses, spreading word of their virtues and of Aldraxia to settlements near and far; and as a scout for Morrick himself, exploring the surrounding areas of the post-Golden Morning world. To that end, she rides on the back of a dragon called Skarron, a gift given to her by Leyshana herself.
During the two years she has existed, Leyrikka has been learning much of the world around her, though she knows of the world before the Golden Morning only through her conversations with survivors. She addresses Morrick as her father (and by extension, Loris as her grandfather), while he regards her as his daughter (and Loris as his granddaughter), and she's widely referred to as Morrick's daughter by other gods and citizens despite the scarce accuracy of the term. She's also become quite popular throughout the city thanks to her cheerful disposition and her willingness to listen to other people and learn from them, not to mention her hobby of occasionally patrolling the city and taking care of problems both within and without. To aid her in solving these matters, and to keep her safe during her travels and scouting trips, she has been granted various blessings by her father, her grandfather, and even Leyshana herself, with whom she is quite close.
Powers:
- Robotic Physiology: As mentioned above, Leyrikka is largely indistinguishable from a human, save for a few aspects, such as her lack of need to sleep or eat. In addition, she is extremely durable and far stronger and faster than a regular human being, capable of facing metahumans of various degrees of strength; her power does not near that of a God, though her toughness is comparable. Her power source can operate indefinitely, though the flow of energy through her body can be disrupted with certain vibrations, and she is vulnerable to electricity-based attacks. As a machine, she is far more tolerant to pain than other beings, and can be repaired with relative ease by Morrick.
- Morrick's Blessing: Through her father's blessing, Leyrikka received the ability to conjure and use various tools and artifacts that he has given her access to, such as an enchanted clockwork ring that permits instant teleportation from anywhere to Aldraxia and between any two points within Aldraxia itself, or a communication device that allows her to contact her father through his holographic array at any moment.
- Leyshana's Blessing: Through the sun goddess' blessing, Leyrikka earned two important assets. The first was complete protection against solar energies, that is, fire and light, a protection that only the most overwhelming of attacks can overcome. The second was control over one of Leyshana's dragons, Skarron, and a mental link between them so that they could communicate whenever necessary. Skarron is likewise immune to solar energies, and Leyrikka is immune to his fire.
- Loris' Blessing: Through the life god's blessing, Leyrikka acquired the ability to inject life energy into various organisms and objects, be it to heal them, to cause growth in an infertile land, or perhaps to strengthen living organisms, within the limits of nature of course. Needless to say, as she is not exactly 'alive' in a biological sense, these life energies do not work on herself.

Supernatural Condition: Advanced Level: As a superhuman, Gaul's body is a model of perfection and is exceptional among humanity, his sheer ability to force speed and power from his bones is nothing to scoff at. Working from a superhuman base, Gaul has only further improved his physical abilities through his rigorous martial arts training and regimens. His most observed traits are his immense speed, strength, durability, and stamina when in fluid motion.
Supernatural Combat: To put it simply, Gaul is on a completely different level when it comes to hand-to-hand combat, able to just One Man Army the shit out of almost anyone he comes across. He leverages his superpowerful body and mind into a mobile and brutally effective weapon, essentially adapting to the fighting style of his opponent and either using it against them or countering it in the heat of battle.
Damage Empowerment: Basically, Gaul gets stronger, fast, more durable, and larger pool of stamina the more damage that he takes. He's limited at the beginning of such engagements, being able only to handle what his fairly durable form can take, but steadily progresses and becomes more aggressively empowering as the fight wears on. Eventually, Gaul resorts to attrition and can simply wear down opponents.

Gender: Female
Appearance:(Image)
Bio: Nadine was born to a family of poets and writers. From an early age she had been introduced to various works, from the Grim Brothers to Mark Twain to Homer. As she was the only child, she was expected to continue the family legacy, which she accepted willingly. She started to write from an early age, although it was mostly just simple children stories. She was introduced to weird fiction and classical tragedy when she was a teen and those became her most favorite genre and sort of specialization in her writings.
She developed her power much later, when she and her family were visiting an ancient library in India. On their way to the secluded library, they were caught and kidnapped by a terrorist group to be asked for ransom. Being neglected by their kidnappers, Nadine sought to calm herself by reading the scrolls around her. While her understanding is limited, and her pronunciation terrible, it was enough to accidentally conjure a seven-headed cobra. Obviously, she was scared at first and attempted to escape from it. But then she noticed that the beast only attacked the terrorist while ignoring her family. After several tries she managed to scared away most of the terrorist and escape with her baffled family. They kept it secret, but they did use it with conjunction with their writings as well as other's to test and understand both the ability and the works better.
Unfortunately for Nadine, the safety of her family was disrupted by the event of Golden Morning. She tried to do something to help the cape that went to fight the South American villain. During the fight and subsequent war against the gods she lost contact to her family. She assumed that they hide in one of the neutral sanctuary but she failed to find them in places she thought they most likely be and gave up searching for them. Through out her journey to seek her family Nadine had collected various scriptures and literatures, most of which would be gone if she didn't save them. Now Nadine is staying in the city of Aldraxia where the last track of her family ends.
Powers: Nadine has the ability to conjure creatures from narrative literature by narrating them. The summoned creature possess all the traits mentioned in the literature, even if the trait is not mentioned by Nadine. Nadine need to hold the physical copy of the literature, which means ebooks are out of questions. While the conjured creatures with lesser sentience is under Nadine's control, the more sapient one might need some bargaining and negotiation before they want to obey her. The conjured creatures last for two hours at most, and will disappear prematurely if Nadine is knocked out.
