Summary

The world was once consumed by war, men and women died for their countries. The world was in total war! Then, the dragons came. With the rise of these behemoths humanity was forced to work as one or face utter destruction! With the help of eight legendary heroes the dragons were destroyed, slaughtered to the last egg. Over five hundred years have passed since then, and new nations have risen from the ashes of old. However, one kingdom survived the dragons. The Kingdom of Zendle, also known as the Immortal Kingdom has become the dominant power in the world. It's current king, God-King Ænneth has ruled for sixty years and has brought many nations to their knees. Many nations have become subjects of Zendle, forced to supply armies and supplies to Zendle. With half of the subcontinent of Jlkar under it's domain Zendle seeks new conquest. Only the Republic of Hieronapolis remains as the buffer between Zendle and the subcontinent of Vulus. While the Jassasin Empire protects the rest of Jlkar.

Somehow, whether by loyalty to your nation or by gold you are now a part of this war. Will you fight for Zendle, Jassasin, Hieronapolis or yourself?

Personality: Arrogant and very confident in himself, Lief is often seen as a selfish brat who thinks the world revolves around him. He believes his royal blood puts him above everybody else and therefore should be pampered. Though he doesn’t like to show it in front of others, in reality, Lief is very kind and generous. He does his best to help his people and would no doubt sacrifice himself for their sake if it had to come to it. Only those close to him see this side of the boy. Others will notice the frustrated brat who hates it when others don’t follow his orders. Lief's ingenuity and curiosity often gets the best of him, making the boy rather careless at times.
Skills/Powers: Lief is a natural-born strategist like his older brother, able to turn the tides of a battle against all odds. He is excellent with magic.Lief has the ability to inspire others, raising troop morale simply from his presence. Being raised in Valkyrie, the boy both excels at riding animals (especially flying ones) and climbing (specifically mountains).

Biography (At least a well written Paragraph please): Born to Eldrion and Helan Alteria, Lief was raised in a world of comfort and ease. Valkyrie was his home, a nation whose army soared far above the clouds. It’s king, his father, ruled the land as benevolently as he could. However, after Lief was born, his wife passed away mysteriously. The sudden loss left the king hollow, turning him into the bitter and ill-tempered man he now is. With the intelligent, yet mischievous, Tyrian Dealict as his advisor, the nation of Valkyrie slowly began to take a turn for the worst. The beautiful culture of it’s land was replaced by a strict militaristic rule. It’s people outcries went unnoticed as Eldrion formed an allegiance with Zendle. In order to prevent this escalating into bloodshed, Lief’s older brother sent him away on a diplomatic mission in to Jassasin. Unfortunately, someone else had different plans...

Special Properties: Dawnstar has the ability to control light. It gives its wielder confidence and shelter when they need it most.
Weapon Creator: Unknown.
Previous Wielder and Current Wielder (if someone still wields it): Eldrion Altier previously. Lief Altier now.
Weapon's History: Said to have been found within the deepest cave on the highest mountain in Valkyrie, Dawnstar was sealed away within an underground palace of marble. Since its discovery, the weapon has been passed down in the royal family, generation after generation. In its early years the king would wield Dawnstar as made war, turning the tides of battle in an instant. However, such power could only be used by wielders who the staff deemed worthy of the gift and such hasn't been seen in hundreds of years. In fact, it has long even accepted a wielder at all, refusing to even glow for it’s user. So until now, it has remained mostly ceremonious at the king’s side. After the chief advisors constant suggestions to lock the useless weapon away, the king decided to give it to his son as a gift. If only the king knew that at that moment, he just single handedly saved his kingdom from himself.

Personality: A soldier by heart, Dane holds loyalty above all else. He serves Lief without question (most of the time). Dane tries to protect everyone around him in a fight, often blaming himself for something that wasn’t his fault. Either way, he’s can be more lighthearted than the general high-ranking officer you’d see in the military and despite never admitting it, prefers his life as a guard for the prince to his past.
Skills/Powers: Dane is the embodiment of a real soldier, incredibly strong, sturdy and reactive. He is definitely not someone you want to end up fighting. He is more resistant to magic than the average person.
Weaponry (Only what your class can use): Steel lance, steel sword, and an intimidating great axe
Biography (At least a well written Paragraph please): Dane worked his way up in the Valkyrian military very quickly. His determination and bravery outshone all around him, leading to the man’s superiors placing great trust upon him and before long he was annointed commander. It was these talents that drew attention to King Eldrion and before long, Dane was a part of the royal guard. And soon after that, the bodyguard and retainer of the king’s youngest son, Lief Altier. Despite what the other servants thought about the brat, Dane put up with him and made sure that his (almost) every need was satisfied. Within reason of course.

Personality: Highly strict and disciplined, Jenassa will obey orders without fail. She is extremely loyal and praised by her superiors. As you’d think, everybody else don’t exactly share the same opinion.
Skills/Powers: Jenassa is incredibly swift and agile in combat. She relies on her speed more than anything to land decisive strikes upon her foes.

Biography (At least a well written Paragraph please): Born from a prominent noble family in Zendle, Jenassa was raised in a life of luxury. However instead of simply relaxing in her wealth, the woman joined the military. In her words, she was a Victoria. She had a legacy of honor to uphold. Once Jenassa realized she was capable of fighting, there was no longer a question of what she would do with her life. It was her duty. And so this determined individual worked her way up into the military, finally becoming an honour guard alongside her king. When the allegiance with Valkyrie was declared, she was sent to the other kingdom in a trade of good will. Her services would be given to her new king who in turn made her Lief’s second retainer.

Personality: Ænneth was known to be a kind and caring ruler after the Zendle Revolution. The many neighbors surrounding Zendle quickly became allies and helped Zendle grow. However, following a diplomatic mission with Jassasin Ænneth became very cold and knew that the people of Zendle needed to come first. Thus Ænneth decided that the ends justify the means and as long as his people were happy he would continue on. Ænneth loves his family, with his people only coming second. Ænneth desires to create a world of peace, where fighting is gone and thus knows that from the destruction of war he can rebuild a new world, one where everyone is happy and war is forgotten. He is merciful to those who surrender but is brutal to those who refuse to yield. Ænneth finds it hard to trust anyone and because of this Zendle only has two allies, Valkyrie and the The Mercantile Republic of Pyrhen
Skills/Powers:
  • Immortal: It is unknown how long Ænneth has lived for, but he has told many stories of the old world, one that was covered in war and destruction. While he appears old, he has been seen fighting alongside his men and seems to be in the same condition of a man in mid twenties.
  • Supreme Veteran, Fighter and Tactician: Ænneth has never been seen losing a fight once in his life. If the stories are true, it's been told that he once defeated an entire army on his own.
Weaponry (Only what your class can use): Lance
Biography (At least a well written Paragraph please): Not much is known about Ænneth's early life. Many people have known him for years and many generations know him. About sixty years ago, a revolution happened in Zendle where the old monarch Gelfrid was sentenced to death with the people putting Ænneth as their new King. Ænneth continued Gelfrid's negitation with other nations and formed many alliances.

That was until the meeting with Jassasin. Ænneth had desired to become allies with the Jassasin for they are known for having plenty of resources that Zendle does not have. Thus the two meet at Hieronapolis where negotiations began. It wasn't long into the talks before the Sultan had revealed his trap with resulted in the assassination of Ænneth's second born son who he had taken with him. Ænneth was the target as the Sultan feared that Zendle was building a mirage of alliances so that they might all strike at the large empire of Jassasin. However, Prince George moved in for his father resulting in his death. Ænneth was able to be ferried away with the help of some noble families who held close ties with Zendle. Once Ænneth returned to Bremen he spent two weeks recovering and in that time George's body was returned to the family so that they might bury him, a sign of respect from the Merchant King of Hieronapolis.

After the funeral, Ænneth began his campaign against his former allies realizing they could easily be turned by the wealth of Jassasin like Hieronapolis. Now, Ænneth has begun his mission to conquer Jassasin and then unite the world under one banner so that war and death might finally end.

Weapon Creator: Durran "God-smith"
Previous Wielder and Current Wielder (if someone still wields it): The Legendary Hero from Zendle who's name is lost. Currently wielded by Neth.
Weapon's History: Myth: Durran was a legendary blacksmith from before the Draconic Wars. He was said to build the finest weapons in the world. However, the Gods looked down at this craft and sought to take his hands away so that he might never smith again. However, one God stood against the rest. The God of Storms gave his power to Durran so that he might craft a weapon to stand against the Gods. For fifty days he worked and on the fifty first day he finished a Lance and with it he stabbed it into the God of Storm so that his power could become one with the Lance. With this Lance the Gods retreated back to the heavens, and the Lance now dubbed Vel would keep the Gods at bay.

No recorded history besides myth is known about Vel before the Draconic Wars. However what is known is that the Hero from Zendle wielded this weapon into battle and was able to use the power of lightening to cast down many dragons. Following the war, the Lance would not been seen again until Neth came to power as King of Zendle.

Nope, we aren't taking that many mechanics from FE. Only classes (thus the weapons you use), the magic system and the weapon triangle. However fights between players will be determined by their IC skill not by levels.

Swords beat ax, ax beat lances and lances beat swords.

Example; A veteran and a young recruit are fighting. The veteran has a lance and the recruit has a an ax. The recruit has a weapon advantage but the veteran is more likely to win due to him well being a veteran of many wars. The weapon triangle is more to balance fights between equal characters.

History: According to the Oathsworn's own history, the Oathsworn capital was built some three hundred years ago by the Oathsworn. The Oathsworn themselves existed before then but there are no records as to when they formed. Under the leadership of the first Hierarchs they built their capital and slowly expanded outwards. The Hierarchs were the first to establish the rules of the Oathsworn religion. What was a loose set of spiritual beliefs became an organized religion that affects all of Oathsworn society.

Since then they have kept to themselves. Few outsiders are allowed into the society, and few people want to be part of it. The Oathsworn are known to outsiders for their strange religious beliefs and for how devoted they are to them. When the Oathsworn do interact with the outside world it is often violently.

Appearance: Average build and height. Short jet black hair. Brown eyes and lighter dark skin. Thuggish looking face. Has actual facial hair she must constantly shave.
Personality: Requiem is a brave and strong willed woman who enlisted in the Oathsworn's military as soon as she was able to. She became a distinguished soldier and worked her way up to a commanding position. She is known throughout the Oathsworn for her skill and ferocity, but those who have met her know her for her selfishness and ruthless nature. She has stepped on many people to get where she is, but she had also impressed those above her.

In truth Requiem is a remorseless individual lacking in empathy who only sees things in relation to herself. She was nothing before earning a reputation in the military. Now she wants everything to bend to her will and fundamentally seeks to never be a victim.

The Oathsworn culture gives people titles when they enter adulthood and it is considered dishonorable to refer to an adult by their birth name. Requiem is her title. Additionally she personally despises her birth name.

Biography: Courtney was born to an Oathsworn mage and had an outsider mother who became an Oathsworn through marriage and worked as a carpenter. When she was only four her parents were murdered in front of her by an assassin. Figuring out that the Hierarchs knew more about it than they let on, she vowed to one day learn the truth. She trained for eventual military service as an orphan and joined the military as soon as she could. When she became a woman she was given her sacred title, Requiem. It honored her vow to seek knowledge and justice for her parents.

Requiem quickly earned a reputation. Though disliked by other soldiers she earned the attention of the officers and the Hierarchs themselves. She was given more and more dangerous assignments and climbed the ranks with each one. After achieving the rank of Captain the Hierarchs revealed that they knew the truth about her parent's murder and that they had kept it from her as a girl to protect her. Having proven herself they revealed what they knew, that the murder was politically motivated... and nothing else. Realizing that her life had been a long shaggy dog story, Requiem decided to focus on her career. At least she could ensure that she would never be victimized again.

The Oathsworn religion.

Name of Religion: The Oathsworn Religion, The Path of the Divine Crusaders
Leaderships Roles of Religion: The Hierarchs of the Oathsworn are the religious leaders as the Oathsworn is a theocratic state. Priests also play important roles and Hierarchs are selected from priests.
Description of Religion's beliefs: The religion worships the original warriors who lead the crusade against the dragons centuries ago, though the details have become distorted. Aside from worshipping these soldiers, the religion believes that all who follow the path of these "Divine Crusaders" will find salvation from a world that is ultimately doomed. The path refers to a very strict set of rules on how one is to live their life. Those who accept this path become the Oathsworn, and the kingdom is named after this religion. The Oathsworn vow to follow the path for the entirety of their lives. Those who break their oaths are Oathbroken and are cast from society. Those who follow the path will find eternal salvation when the sacred paradise that the original Crusaders ascended to is found.
How the religion is worshiped: When a man or woman becomes an adult they take an oath. They are then given a holy title to replace their birth name, and referring to an adult by their name rather than their title is dishonorable. Oathbroken however are stripped of their title. For the rest of their lives the Oathsworn serve the path of the Divine Crusaders. This means following a set of morals laid forth by the Hierarchs. It also means serving the state. All Oathsworn do their part. The economy of the state is completely tied to this labor. Those who fulfill their services are rewarded with material goods. They need not buy them. Those who fail receive nothing. There is no currency or trade. The government is divided into ministries who run the government but the highest form of government is the Oathsworn court. The court is composed of priests elected by popular vote. Above the court are the Hierarchs, priests elected to the position for life. There are three Hierarchs and always three. When one dies the others step down and new Hierarchs are elected from priests by priests.

The Hierarchs rely on the ministries to oversee the government but are otherwise above anyone. Their word is law. They are the heads of the religion, though priests are how most people interact with it. The Hierarchs have no unique role, but they can overrule lower ministries and the court on any desicison. They are considered the heads of the religion.

Now she dedicates her efforts to bringing those she feels have wronged the Oathsworn to justice, though underneath that is a much friendlier and compassionate woman.

Her parents sent her to the capital when she expressed an interest in military service. Far from her parents she trained in the general academy for children, the same academy that orphans like Courtney trained in. The two became friends. When Kendra was nine she was told her childhood home had burned down in a wildfire and that her entire family had died with it. Courtney was all she had left and the two became like sisters. Kendra had no one else willing to talk to a country bump, and Courtney felt she had finally found someone who knew what she had gone through.

As the two girls drew closer to graduation however their relationship soured. The competitiveness that endeared Courtney to her superiors but earned her the ire of her equals began to rear its head. Kendra tried hard to step out of her shadow, including focusing on magic instead of physical strength, but the two became less than friendly. While training to be a Sage Kendra met a boy who also came from the countryside named Davon. The two fell in love and decided to marry as soon as they graduated. In an event that isn't known to anyone but the two women however, Courtney had a hand in his accidental death. This was the complete end of their friendship and when she became an adult Kendra took the title of Solace to show that she would dedicate her life to righting the injustices of her life.

Solace worked her way through the ranks of the military but was always overshadowed by Requiem. She became driven completely by her hatred of her. In her eyes Requiem is a monster that is showered with praise and power by everyone despite her crimes. One day she will be brought to justice.

Notes: Solace commands a small group of about ten to forty soldiers. They are all sages like her or Knights.

Personality: Extremely hot-headed and overzealous, and with combat prowess to match it. She is often easily angered by soldiers who underestimate her abilities due to her age and appearance. Under all of the zealousness, she has a deep passion for protecting her people and fighting for her family.
Skills/Powers: She is strong enough to stand up to most other melee fighters. Like many cavaliers, she is skilled at riding and fighting on horseback.

Biography (At least a well written Paragraph please): Bridget was born to a simple, but far from easy life. Born the youngest of four other brothers to a family of farmers on the eastern side of expanding Zendle territory. Alongside the vast military presence in the region, her home village was prone to attacks by various raiding mercenaries and bandits from the recently-annexed territory. Whenever the military was unable to provide assistance, the villagers resorted to arming themselves and forming a militia. Bridget was one of these militia fighters when she was 15, learning to fight with a lance alongside her brothers and father. It was before her 17th birthday when the military drafted the majority of these militia members. Against the advice of her parents and brothers, Bridget volunteered to fight in the military. Mounting a horse, donning the armor of a cavalier, and wielding an old lance and sword used by the militia, she set out to prove her capabilities as a soldier and protect her people.

By the time Artys was 22, he would hear word of his brother's death and his father's retreat to Zendle. While his father returned home, Artys mobilized the army of Zendle and once the burial for George was complete Artys would lead the army and conquer the many surrounding nations. Now Artys stands ready to fight for his nation, however he has grown weary of war and hopes to end the war with Jassasin quickly.

  • Dragon Form (Healing) - Jlyn is a unique dragon in that her breath does not deal damage to others. Instead it heals, and can cure many illnesses.

Biography (At least a well written Paragraph please): Jlyn was born in a Manakete Tribe three hundred years ago. She was born a divine dragon, thus making her breaths heal instead of damaging. Eventually after growing tired of the isolationism that the Manaketes adopted decided to escape from the island. After escaping she would travel across the many eastern nations as she learned at the many courts she visited. Many were amazed to see a Manakete which hadn't been seen in many years thus she was able to speak with many people of great knowledge and talent.

However it wouldn't be until she reached Zendle did she truly become involved. The former King of Zendle was obsessed with dragons and welcomed Jlyn with a grande celebration. She would stay in the finest room in the castle and be waited on by many servants. However when the time came for her to leave the King refused to allow her to go and had her locked away. It wouldn't be until the Zender Revolution when King Zender granted her freedom. It's reported that King Zender bowed and begged for forgiveness for his predecessor.

Despite being held captive, Jlyn stayed at Zendle, becoming one of Artys' tutors as he grew up. Eventually she would move shortly before Zendle began it's campaign of conquest. Now Jlyn travels the Zendle war torn country side healing and helping those she finds along the way.

Would my character, considering she's an enlisted member of the military, simply be accompanying the army on the move towards Jassasin under the command of the Prince? Just trying to get an idea of where I'll start at the moment.

And also, out of curiosity, how will things like military engagements go? It's shown that some characters are leading armies too.

Personality: Jerho has always been seen as a serious man who is always to the point. He is never one to be delaid or tripped at anything, combat or not. He is respected in the Royal Oskano Guard Corps, and looked up to as a strong on cunning leader. But most take him as over serious and often stray away from him directly. Those who know him however see him to a be wise and thoughtful man, fiercely loyal to Oskano and his close friends

Master Lancer: Being raised from an early line of Oskani Knights Jerho has become quite efficent with the weapon both on and off the horse. Yet his skills with the blade should not be over looked

Master Rider: As tradition with all knights from Oskano, Jerho spend most of his life around horse, even longer than that of the Lance. Thus he has become quite effective on horse back, living up to the legend of the skilled Oskani knights, some even claim they can speak with their horses

Biography:
Jerho was born just outside the capital city of Gesno, to a long line of knights stretching back past the Draconic War. As such he was raised in their ways from a very young age. He would often be found around the capitals stables helping out the other knights, some of which his cousins, with their horses and daily duties. At the ripe age of 5 he finally began taking up the duties and training of an Oskani knight. He would spend the time not spent learning the traditions and other skills he would be riding a horse around the stables. A few months later he would be introduced to the main weapon of the Oskani Knight, the Lance. It was around this time that he would meet a boy whom would become one of greatest friends. A young boy named Jermo had joined up and struck it off with Jerho. The two became good friends, despite their disagreements on the Swords and Lances used by the Oskani. Jerho would continue his training with the Oskani knights, eventually disgushing himself as a hard working knight and fierce warrior. His record for duels, still stands to this day.

Around the age of 16 Jerho had shown his skills as an up and coming Knight and was sent off to the Oskani Academy of Combat and Strategy to take advanced courses in the art of Warfare. His progress and skill from the old school of knighting carried over to the Academy. Though will a bit of struggling at first, Jerho soon rose to the highest rankings of his class. He would be joined as well by his friend Jermo, who had revealed himself to be Prince Alois years ago. Jerho kept his word to Alois even past those years in the Academy. After 2 years in the Academy Jerho was accepted back into the Oskani Knights and quickly earned himself the rank of Head of the Royal Oskani Guard Corps. For the past h years following that has quickly earned him the respect of all within Oskano and even those abroad. Thus due to his skills he was picked to help lead the support for Hiero to the south. Though a seemingly difficult task, it is only exclemplified with claims from outside nations and other hurrdles from within...

Notes: Jerho is the second in command and long time friend of Prince Alois of Oskano, the leader of the military force to support their allies to the south

Personality: Fero is more quite in comaprison to the others within the group. It's likely due to the time he has spent waiting and mediation, often going without seeing others for quite sometime. But he however is not a shell. He is quite open, though sometime akward, around those he trusts. Which are far and few between. He has a light sense of humor if you can hit the right notes, but keeps to himself for the most part, often avoiding certian social gatherings. Training seems to be one of the few things that can get him to open up and talk, and luckily he found plenty of it with the ROGC
Skills/Powers: Sword Master: Having trained in the art of the sword long before he could talk, Fero has become a master of the blade. His skills are unrivaled within the ROGC, often surpassing those of Alois on a good day, and renowned across Oskano. Even by the members of the ROGC
Speed: Being trained with the blade from such a young age Fero is able to use the sword as an exstention of himself, rather than a weapon. Thus despite the size and weight of the sword he is often able to use it as if it was a feather. Though this trait puts him at a disatvantage for armor

Biography: Like most of his people, Fero was born in the small and skattered villages dotting the northern mountian ranges of Oskano. From a very young age, in similar fashion to the Knights of Oskano, he was trained in the art of the sword. At first by his father, a prominate swordmaster within his own village. Even before he could talk he would be given a wood stick and instructed to train and fight the way his ancestors had for centuries before the Draconic Wars even began to flare up. As he grew older his training increased as did his skill. Finally at the age of 13 he was old enough to begin the long journey to his disctricts temple. Every few villages, scattered in the mountains were small temples were only the choicen warriors were bound to train and learn skills. Fero was one of the choicen and allowed to find the path into the temple where he would spend nearly a decade training.

Most students were required at least a decade or more of training and mediation before on could even dream of earning the title of Master, let alone be able to aquire such skills. Fero had so far spent nearly ten years in isoslation, occasionally instructing the pupils who made the journey to the temple. One day he would have his own Temple. That would be, if it were not for the "things" which came down through the mountians and began razing any villages throughout the northern boarder. They were unlike things that had not been seen for over 5 centuries, and the warriors of these tribes were on the front line. Eventually his village was joined by the Knights of Oskano. Together they managed to push back the creature for the time being. Impressed by the skills of a particular member, not realizing it was Prince Alois, challenged him to a duel. After an intense match of combat, the fighting ended in a draw with both men exghuasted. Impressed by the skills of the outside, Fero joined up with the Knights in hopes of protecting other villages and his country. It would only be later he would learn the true idenity of the man he had fought, and became quick friends with the charismatic Prince. Yet he is still haunted by the creatures he witnessed all that time ago...

Personality: Charasmatic and strong willed Prince Alois is repected by all those he meets. He is constantly known to be very charasmatic, often easily slipping into conversation with others and generally being liked all around. He is fiercely loyal to his country and friends, and acts like an older brother and best friend to all those around him. He is espically protective of his younger sister Zela. He also showed signs of leadership from an early age. Although seemingly stubborn at times he is a very careful leader who ways all the choices of a battle and has been regarded as an excellent tactician in combat

Tactician: Having excelled in courses at the Oskani Academy of Combat and Strategy, he has excellent skills when it comes to eveluated enemy forces and understand the strengths and weakeness of his forces, leading to him being an excellent leader

Sword skills: Having trained with the Knights of Oskano, and spending time learning with the masters of the mountains, from a young age, Alois has quite a skilled hand at sword fighting, occasionally riviling that of Swordmasters, such as Fero, on good days. He is considered the best sword fighter in the Knights of Oskano, with Jerho following close behind.

Biography: Alois was born as the first child to King Alaro of Oskano. 4 Years later he would be joined by his younger sister Zela. Though he could have enjoyed a life of pleasure and ease, this would not suit young Alois. A warrior at heart, like that of his father, he was sent away to the Oskano school for knights at a very young age to begin training with them. To avoid and given respect or ease he would use the name Jermo whenever out alone or withing the grounds of the school. It was hear he would meet one of his long time friends, Jerho, while training. The two hit if off immediatly, each trying to one up each other. They continued their friendship for many years. At some point before Alois' 14th birthday, he revealed to Jerho that he really was the Prince of Oskano. At first shocked, Jerho quickly promised to keep the secret to all they met.

Together both of them travled to the Oskano Academy of Combat and Strategy. Again they had become friendly rivals as each attempted to our preform the other whether it was through sword fighting or other Strategies. Yet as both exceded in all subjects, Alois lowly began to rise to the challenge of strategy, branding himself as one of the best strateiests within the school, much to the teasing of Jerho, who knew he might be able to get pay back in a duel. From graduatation of the Academy Alois would be given opportunities to have higher roles in the Oskani military, despite already being a General at default from his status. Yet Alois never truely felt at home commanding over larger battles, and would often find himself out with the Knights of Oskano doing all manner of quests. Though they were yet to face their greatest challenge...

Formal Nation Name: The Ancient Wyvegarde Halidom
Informal Nation Name: Drago Isle / Wyvegarde
Shortened Nation Name: Wyvegarde
Flag: A design showing twin dragon heads juxtaposed to each other with crossed swords behind it accompanied by a blaze of blue and orange fire behind that.
Coat of Arms/Other Symbols: Not really. Pretty much those things.
Government Type: Monarchy, ruled by a single ruler, however is advised by well-respected Sages.
Head of State: Monarch Glavis
Head of Government: While Glavis rules the government in name, the aforementioned Sages truly handle much of the issues of state, led by the esteemed Sage Lucille, a powerful manakete diviner.
Population: Low. I can't exactly place a proper number, but the population is befitting an island nation of its size.
Capital: Drakenflux, an ancient fortress-city situated in the mountains.
Location: The small aforementioned Manakete island, a rather mountainous and windy place.
Military Population: Military population isn't high yet is admirable due to the uniquity of Manaketes and the popularity of magic in Wyvegarde. Has a high amount of Wyvern Knights.

History:

Wyvegarde came first from the unity of the many Manakete tribes in the vast wilds surrounding the present Drago Isle. Originally these tribes had more or less held disdain or uneasy alliances with one another for, according to historical records, thousands of years. The tribes were mostly binded by the Manaketes' coloration in their true draconic forms, be it red, green, blue, or the rarer golden and silver coloration. The unifier of these clans was one of the golden Manakete. He was a warrior by the name of Hadron. His ideals of unity was first met with war from those tribes which disagreed. Hadron had brought enough of his army together with other tribes he convinced to his purpose, and in turn defeated those opposing the bond between tribes. Legend states that Hadron won using the power of the legendary tome "Nidhoggr," said to contain the power of the long gone dragons themselves. Leading alongside with a warmaiden cleric by the name of Lucille from the Azure Tribe by the sea, along with several other compatriots, he was able to unify the tribes. This brief conflict was dubbed the Golden Scales War, particularly named after Hadron and the Golden Tribe that instigated the unity.

The tribes unified under Hadron himself, crowning him their Monarch, and he took Lucille as his bride and queen. The two became the rulers of the new nation of Wyvegarde, and traveled to the heart of the tribelands, Drago Isle, to begin the construction of their capital. Construction took nearly a century for the city to be complete, which was henceforth known as "Drakenflux," the center of the nation of Wyvegarde. At the time, Wyvegarde stretched from into the wilds surrounding the Drago Isle, yet in the modern day it only truly encompasses the island itself. During the time of construction, the next generation of Manakete scions was born from Hadron and Lucille's union. The eldest, a daughter by the name of Nariah, was to become the next Monarch after her father. Lucille also birthed younger twin princes, Varin and Zavrin, who themselves were Wyvegarde royalty.

While relatively undisturbed from humankind during the nation's development, Wyvegarde was set upon by hordes of raiders from the east during the 150th year of Hadron's rule. In his older, yet still able age, he once again took up Nidhoggr to battle, this time to defend his country. The royal family, numbering five now including the offspring and Lucille, took to war with Monarch Hadron despite his pleas not to. Regardless, the queenly Lucille, having become a well respected Sage in the eyes of the nation; Nariah, who herself had become a very masterful swordswoman accompanied with her powerful transformative abilities; and the twin princes, Varin and Zavrin, who had both become powerful, noble Wyvern Knights, rushed alongside their Monarch into battle on the eastern continent of Wyvegarde. The resulting war, known as the Valiant Opposition, saw the eastern continent razed almost entirely by the seemingly never ending horse of raiders, horribly damaging the Manakete population. Yet, in the end, Hadron and his army triumphed, halting the horde just as they reached the shore of the continent and ultimately decimating the raiders' army in a final push. However, this final conflict saw the death of Prince Varin in battle as well as the assassination of Monarch Hadron upon the last breaths of the battle. While Wyvegarde was victorious in the end, they had never been more damaged. The eastern continent was never able to be salvaged, and eventually was lost from Wyvegarde, the survivors of the war retreating to live in Drago Isle.

Resulting from the Valiant Opposition, Nariah took the throne with her brother and her mother at her side as both advisors and fierce guardians. The conflict left the nation wary of humankind, and the restoration efforts from the newly crowned Monarch Nariah led efforts to ease the pain of refugees from the East, including a stark few humans enslaved by the raider horde, and help assimilate them into their new home at the Drago Isle. Her efforts made her known as a leader of compassion and love, despite her ferocity and temper during war. Many reflect that she eventually developed herself as a reflection of her mother: Sagelike, noble, and wise.

The legendary time of Nidhoggr was sealed away by Lucille, as neither those of "holy blood" bore the magical aptitude to wield it as their father had. While Lucille herself was very much able to wield its power, she didn't out of respect for her late husband, instead keeping it for the next heir worthy of wielding its power.

As years past influence in the wilds of the west waned, and eventually Wyvegarde simply retracted to the Drago Isle itself. Nariah continued to rule for centuries, and soon enough Wyvegarde made true accord with humanity outside of cautious shying away and hiding itself from the outside world. They struck peace with the nation of Jassasin, as Monarch Nariah finally overcame her due resentment for humans to ally with the nation. While she waited many years into her life, eventually Nariah married and bore children, her husband a respected knight-general by the name of Kelstadt who also fought in the Valiant Opposition. Together they had two sons in the 1000th year of Wyvegarde's existence. The eldest was Glavis, a temperamental and rather hasty child, and the youngest was Aster, a feeble, physically frail, yet exceptionally gifted child in the art of magic. In year 1195 of Wyvegarde's reign, and roughly the thousandth year of Monarch Nariah's rule, she fell ill and soon passed away. With the nation in mourning, Glavis was crowned Monarch at the age of 195, quite young by Manakete standards. Lucille, wife to the first Monarch, still lives, albeit middle aged, she is still deeply respected by all. Her son, Zavrin, became famed as a noble and strong Wyvern Lord, the final survivor from his generation of royalty. To this day he is the leading general of Wyvegarde's military.. Nariah's husband Kelstadt, and the father of Glavis and Aster, has taught them both in warfare and arms, yet Glavis takes much easier to weaponry than his brother Aster. Aster instead learned from his grandmother Lucille in private. She taught him in magic, a power almost forgotten by the loyalty since the long-gone days of Monarch Hadron. Lucille saw Hadron in the young Manakete, from his intelligence to his analytical mind to his slight stoicism yet passionate heart. While Glavis inherited the title of Monarch, Aster inherited the legendary Nidhoggr after several years of training and learning with Lucille, the true "holy blood" coursing through his veins.

It is now the 1275th year of Wyvegarde's existence. Glavis bears the title of Dragon Monarch with a rather naive, yet pure heart, while his brother Prince Aster has become a "dragon-in-training." While Wyvegarde is a small nation, it is not to be called a weak one, and bears history dating back centuries.

On another note, I decided that the village will be in Jassasin as that makes more sense plot wise plus Lief can meet one of the Zendle characters that way if they invade Jassasin.
