Name: Conrad
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Home Nation: Hieronapolis
Allegiance paid to: Hieronapolis
Class: Dark Mage
Appearance (Picture appreciated): Slightly taller than average with light skin and light brown hair. He is an unassuming man but has a more threatening appearance than one would expect from a scholar. If you look carefully you'll notice he is frequently covered in cuts and bruises. He wears a thick cloak and smuggles tomes beneath it.
Personality: Conrad is a very self absorbed person. He is thankful for the monastery for raising him and providing him with an education. However he only cares about what he gets out of it. He abuses his position to become stronger with magic and devotes his life to fighting because he feels fulfilled by it. When doing his job he only truly cares about things that interest him. He only feels disdain for the rest of his work, feeling that most of the monastery and his peers are beneath him. Because Conrad feels that his life is given meaning by violence, he feels that everyone else is searching for purpose and living meaningless lives. Only those who have truly lived as he has are worth anything. Those who haven't are as monotonous as the books he copies.
Skills/Powers: Very skilled with magic
Weaponry (Only what your class can use): Tomes
Biography (At least a well written Paragraph please): Conrad was abandoned at a young age by his parents and raised in a monastery. There he spent his whole life learning to be a scholar. He was taught to read and write and spent almost all his time reading or transcribing books. When he became an adult Conrad became a full time scholar. It was his job to laboriously copy down the contents of books to create new books, as was necessary in a setting without a printing press. It made Conrad a very educated man, but he felt his life was unfulfilling.
Conrad's life changed when he discovered an underground fight club in a nearby town. When he tried to become involved he was viciously beaten, and he loved it. The very idea of a fight club for raw and pure combat excited Conrad. Conrad desperately wanted to be part of it, and he took advantage of the lack of rules. Conrad used his status as a scholar to acquire tomes and train himself to use combat magic. The books to do this were carefully guarded, but few of his peers suspected Conrad of all people would use them maliciously. Conrad used his combat magic to dominate the fight club, as few of the working class participants had access to that power. Conrad beat everyone there and was accepted with open arms. Ever since Conrad has actively participated in and helped to spread the club.
Despite no formal training, Conrad now has considerable skill with magic as he's spent what free time he has improving it. In the meantime he is still a diligent scholar, creating new books and occasionally going on expeditions for the monastery.
