Name: Conrad
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Home Nation: Hieronapolis
Allegiance paid to: Hieronapolis
Class: Dark Mage
Appearance (Picture appreciated): Slightly taller than average with light skin and light brown hair. He is an unassuming man but has a more threatening appearance than one would expect from a scholar. If you look carefully you'll notice he is frequently covered in cuts and bruises. He wears a thick cloak and smuggles tomes beneath it.
Personality: Conrad is a very self absorbed person. He is thankful for the monastery for raising him and providing him with an education. However he only cares about what he gets out of it. He abuses his position to become stronger with magic and devotes his life to fighting because he feels fulfilled by it. When doing his job he only truly cares about things that interest him. He only feels disdain for the rest of his work, feeling that most of the monastery and his peers are beneath him. Because Conrad feels that his life is given meaning by violence, he feels that everyone else is searching for purpose and living meaningless lives. Only those who have truly lived as he has are worth anything. Those who haven't are as monotonous as the books he copies.
Skills/Powers: Very skilled with magic
Weaponry (Only what your class can use): Tomes
Biography (At least a well written Paragraph please): Conrad was abandoned at a young age by his parents and raised in a monastery. There he spent his whole life learning to be a scholar. He was taught to read and write and spent almost all his time reading or transcribing books. When he became an adult Conrad became a full time scholar. It was his job to laboriously copy down the contents of books to create new books, as was necessary in a setting without a printing press. It made Conrad a very educated man, but he felt his life was unfulfilling.

Conrad's life changed when he discovered an underground fight club in a nearby town. When he tried to become involved he was viciously beaten, and he loved it. The very idea of a fight club for raw and pure combat excited Conrad. Conrad desperately wanted to be part of it, and he took advantage of the lack of rules. Conrad used his status as a scholar to acquire tomes and train himself to use combat magic. The books to do this were carefully guarded, but few of his peers suspected Conrad of all people would use them maliciously. Conrad used his combat magic to dominate the fight club, as few of the working class participants had access to that power. Conrad beat everyone there and was accepted with open arms. Ever since Conrad has actively participated in and helped to spread the club.

Despite no formal training, Conrad now has considerable skill with magic as he's spent what free time he has improving it. In the meantime he is still a diligent scholar, creating new books and occasionally going on expeditions for the monastery.

Name:Edda
Age:25
Gender:Female
Home Nation:Zendle
Allegiance paid to:Zendle
Class:Outlaw
Appearance (Picture appreciated):
Image

Personality:Like Frey, Edda hates nobility for their higher education and easy lifestyle. She also dislikes being controlled or ordered around by someone of her rank. She typically gets along with her superiors and is smart enough to not argue with them. During combat, Edda is calm and focused, sometimes too focused to the point where Frey has to bail her out when she is not paying attention to her surroundings. She typically has a secretive behavior. Edda is highly religious and typically threatens anyone who insults her beliefs.
Skills/Powers:Locktouch: Edda is skilled with locks and knows how to unlock them
Pickpocket: Edda knows how to steal spare money and items from unsuspecting victims easily
Weaponry (Only what your class can use):Bows
Biography (At least a well written Paragraph please):Edda was born parentless. Her mother died while giving birth and her father is supposedly dead at sea. She was raised by one of her fathers friends, a monk. Although, they didn't have much, the monk tried his best to give Edda a good education and a happy childhood. Edda was given a bow for her 8th birthday by the monk and lead to her skills with the bow. She met Frey during a trip to the woods one day. The two at first argued, but then got along and became close friends. Edda was harassed by the same group of kids who harassed Frey, and usually insulted her old clothing and poor housing conditions. In return, Edda would commonly take their belongings and burn them. This lead to her hatred of nobility and the upper class like Frey. When Frey left to join the army, Edda soon followed her friend. She promised the monk however, to send a share of her pay back to him.

Name: Prince Aster, of the Hadron Golden Bloodline
Age: 275
Gender: Male
Species: Manakete
Home Nation: Wyvegarde
Allegiance paid to: His brother, Monarch Glavis, as well as Wyvegarde as a whole.
Class: Manakete
Appearance : Best picture I could find. Exception being his hair his blond towards the roots and towards the tips it exhibits an azure coloration. His typical armor looks like this, except the color is golden instead of silver, and the shoulder cape is emblazoned with the royal emblem of Wyvegarde. It is hardly proper armor, and is simply meant to appear regal and provide meager protection while allowing movement.

Personality:
Passionate yet often stoic, Aster tries not to let sentimentality enter too deeply into the affairs of state. While ruling instead of Aster, Glavis exhibits a fiery and often overly sentimental mind. Aster often balances that out with a more practical and down-to-earth approach that sometimes may come as unwelcome to the young Monarch. However, that's not to say that Aster lacks in passion. He is rather prejudiced towards humans, something he inherited from his mother as a result of the Valiant Opposition she fought and lost much in. This leads Aster to be very protective of his family and, by extension, country, even of those who don't quite share the same sentiments with him, such as his father. Aster, with his "typical" physical form rather feeble and weak compared to others in his positions, relies much on cleverness and tacit to find his way out of particularly compromising situations as opposed to combat. However, being the dragon that he is, Aster shines when in his true form, one of complete contradiction to his human-like Manakete appearance.

Skills/Powers:
  • Heightened Manakete - Aster is a manakete who realized the fullness of his true form, and as such, is very formidable in it. Aster takes the form of a great golden dragon in his dragon form, which is heightened by the Nidhoggr stone. While strong, he has yet to realize the full potential of Nidhoggr.
  • Magically Aware - Having studied, and continuing to study, magical arts, Aster understands their intricacies, yet doesn't harness them himself due to his true draconic heritage making it somewhat unnecessary. Regardless, he still embodies a higher resistance to magic, and coupled in with his draconic form's tough hide, he is a surprisingly tough foe in his true form.

Weaponry: Dragonstones - Nidhoggr
Biography:

In the thousandth year of Wyvegarde's existence, Monarch Nariah had two sons. The first one was Glavis, the eldest by just a margin and destined to inherit the throne of Monarch of Wyvegarde. The second was Aster, a feeble and frail child at birth. Glavis was born but a day before his brother, and yet when Aster was born, it was doubtful if he would even survive. His condition was dire; he was nearly too weak to function, his breathing too short and meager to barely keep him alive. The Monarch summoned the best clerics and healers in Wyvegarde to her keep with haste, dedicated to saving the would-be prince. By miracle he did survive, after nearly a week of turmoil and Nariah never leaving his side.

As a result of his troubled birth, Aster's childhood was rough. He was pallid and weak throughout many years, while his brother grew stronger and roamed the citadel with the other children of the castle. Often Glavis teased him because of this, as brothers do, but as they grew up he became incredibly protective of his brother, most prominently in their "teenage" years. Throughout his childhood Nariah took care of him, while his father Kelstadt educated Glavis in most ways, such as with basics of warfare, mathematics, etc. Nariah handled such things for Aster, whose education went better than Glavis's ultimately, save for the training in weaponry. Aster was capable of little true physical activity, but when he grew into teenage years, he strived to change this with the help of his mother and brother prominently; his father mostly spending time with Glavis or dealing with his affairs of military.

As most of his childhood was spent bedridden with little walking, Aster's teenage years were filled with rough exercise that would have been simple to the average person as well as his heightened education. The young prince would become beyond exhausted from this, resulting in sleeping for occasionally days at a time. This time of his life was immensely difficult for him, yet necessary for him to become as capable as he is today.

Eventually Aster grew somewhat able, his walking becoming much more frequent and his strength more normal as he eased into adulthood. At his age of 195, his mother suddenly fell ill, shocking and terrifying the young manakete. She stayed ill for many months, Aster staying by his mother's side for nearly the whole time, while his brother Glavis "prepared." The outcome was evident, yet Aster had not accepted it. He hadn't wanted to. Nariah passed away in the seventh month of her illness, with the young prince Aster by her side along with the rest of her small family. This drove the still-feeble Aster into depression, and in the dawn of the next day, Glavis took the throne as the Third Monarch of Wyvegarde, grieving in silence for his lost mother away from his brother. While Glavis carried on with his duties, Aster felt somewhat lost. He never had much of a purpose in the court with his lifelong weakness, yet he was confronted with the reality of independence, with his father never really growing close to him. It was then that Aster truly met his illusive grandmother Lucille, the Manakete Sage of old and wife to Hadron himself. He met her rarely, only at feasts and celebrations, and from what he remembered she looked very similar to his mother. Lucille looked only slightly more aged than her daughter Nariah, with blue hair similar to Aster's own, yet much longer naturally. The prince spent nearly a year in his deep depression from his mother's death, not much of anything easing his sorrow, be it his brother's visits or efforts from educators to motivate him.

Then one snowy winter night, the illusive Lucille visited in him in keep chambers, bearing a sapphire colored sphere-shaped stone. Surprised by the visit, yet eerily comforted by Lucille, Aster at last opened up to her. The young dragon felt at peace finally in the company of Lucille. That night she gifted Aster a blue stone: his first Dragonstone. She had been watching over him silently and without his notice for long now, measuring his "potential" in a way. She felt he was gifted enough to utilize not weapons, but his true form lost to many Manaketes. No time was wasted in beginning the practice of his transformation, Aster spending day after day with Lucille away from the capital in training, often not being seen for weeks at a time. He traveled across Wyvegarde and the western wilds with Lucille in secrecy, learning the history of the land from the Sage herself. His life for several years was of due meditation befitting a dragon, and bursts of power away from any onlookers. All of this almost made him forget about his weaknesses, both physical and mental, Lucille truly feeling like a mother to him even after Nariah'a passing.

Several years went on with their time together, nurturing his power the best way a Manakete could: with time. Eventually, when he at last turned 220, after two decades of instruction with Lucille, she took the still-young dragon into the snow-capped mountains of Wyvegarde on a rough and trying excursion. Taking weeks to summit a single mountain, Aster was worn out on the whole journey, Lucille forbidding him from using his dragon form to travel then. The journey itself was a pilgrimage, and the final destination was a mountain shrine hidden away within the highest peak in the nation. There Aster found the artifact that had been untouched for nearly a millenia: the legendary Nidhoggr, which contained the very power of the Primeval One. Until then, Lucille was the only one to know of its location. Reaching the shrine and obtaining Nidhoggr was Aster's last trial from Lucille...the stone and its power was now his. Lucille had waited countless years to relieve herself of this duty; now she was finished. Satisfied and proud beyond belief, the two returned to the Drakenflux Keep, having been absent for far too long now.

In Aster's decades-long journey of "finding himself," he had made himself stronger in body and soul, even without accounting for the power of Nidhoggr he had the honor of uncovering in himself. Coming back into the fold of the Wyvegarde court at last, he was nearly a completely different person than when he left. His own brother Glavis was shocked, and impressed, by how much he had changed. The two young dragons became close again, with Aster becoming Glavis's closest advisor after his return. Lucille, of course, stayed present in the Royalty, always coordinating things in secrecy with her child, Zavrin, and two grandchildren. Whenever not assisting his brother in matters of state, Aster spent all of his time researching and practicing with Nidhoggr, even going so far as to show Glavis its power in person once he had enough faith in his potential.

Prince Aster, to this day, is still the close advisor of the reigning Monarch Glavis, and his power is not exactly a secret, the rumor of it escaping Drakenflux and spreading throughout after one two many flights over the city in the dead of night. With the escalation of the Zendle-Jassasin conflict, Glavis has involved Wyvegarde in the matter in order to acquaint itself once again with human affairs...much to Aster's disdain. They loosely allied themselves with Jassasin, the country promising Wyvegarde a large shipment of iron, copper, silver, and other precious minerals not found on the Drago Isle. Basic commodities that, due to the nation''s small size, they cannot get enough of. In return, Wyvegarde was to send a single vanguard to assist Jassasin in the conflict. That "vanguard" was to be the Monarch's brother himself, along with his most loyal knights and retainers. When Aster heard of the "agreement" just a month before this day, he was nonetheless than furious at his brother, being reduced to a mere mercenary for the sake of resources. However, the young prince knew he had to accept, Wyvegarde needing all they could get. The prince was confident enough in his powers, and he knew that the soldiers and knights he was bringing with him would die before letting him come to harm.

Aster wasn't worried about him coming to harm, he was worried about others being harmed because of him. The last thing he wanted was someone to sacrifice themselves for his sake, for him to feel the guilt that he felt so long ago when his mother passed. Regardless, Aster knew war was war, and he was no stranger to the function of it, having studied it for years.

RP Example: Hopefully not necessary

Notes:

  • Knight-General Kelstadt, widower to the late ruler Nariah - Father

Three-five posts, give or take. I just don't want characters fucking off far away from everyone else (I learned this mistake from my Star Wars RP)

Make Conrad a Dark Mage and he's accepted. Aster is accepted too along with Edda.

I had to google that to figure out the reference. I assumed it would be more like this.

Also the Sorc are dressed the same as Dark Mages in Awakening and Fates. Just because your character is a certain class does not mean they are dressed liked them. Like I said, it's mostly to show their skill and what weapons they use.

In about one or two posts. This will be just a small conflict that will bring a few of the characters together. Such as Jlyn who will be wandering the battlefield trying to heal people or Artys figuring out the losses and planning their next attack.

Well, I wasn't expecting the Manakete to show up so soon. Alright, so...how do we get Jassasin to retreat..

Also, I've been thinking and if support for this RP continues I'm up for doing Generation Two, in which we follow the children or older versions of our characters.

Watching The Seven Deadly Sins really inspired me.

Also, I've been thinking and if support for this RP continues I'm up for doing Generation Two, in which we follow the children or older versions of our characters.

Yes. Soon there will then be alternate universe versions of our characters. Yes.
TG me about my avatars for useless trivia.

I'm cool with it.

Also, I just want to state. When I said reach the Zendle-Jassasin-Hiero area I meant anywhere in those three nations. Whether in the capital of Jassasin, Akina or the capital of Zendle, Bremen or somewhere in between. You don't have to show up to this quick battle. I had planned on it ending quickly and for characters to meet up in the aftermath but now we got manakete.
