It'd be best to use the environment to our advantage. A System-wide minefield would be a good start.
Well, in canon, Geonosis is a single-planet system with fifteen moons. What if the CIS were to fortify the outer moons with Surface-to-Orbit weapons, like predecessors to the V-150 with overlapping lines of fire(whose effectiveness depending on from which direction the Imperial Fleet(s) come from). The majority of the Confederate Fleet in the system could hide themselves behind the cover of the the Inner Moons while a minority draws the Imperial Fleet into a trap. This could perhaps be used for the dramatic reveal of the single newly completed Subjugator. The presence of interdiction fields(Assuming the technology is available at the time) at ambush points far from the planet and leading to the outskirts of the Moon/Ring system by the the Confederate Navy might be a good idea to prevent any surprises.
As far as the planet goes, perhaps a planetary shield and the placement of important military installations within the Geonosian Catacombs already created. Cave entrances could be used as camouflaged hangars for fighters and CAS aircraft to harass Imperial Forces landing on the planet(Assuming they make it to orbit and try to land troops). Canyons could easily serve as chokepoints for ambushes by infantry(Both Droid and Geonosian), nevermind where you could put artillery. AA installations could be installed onto the surface and could double as infantry suppression if they could swivel. Minefields over the plains could easily serve to slow any advance(These could be laced with those minefield droids that were seen on Christophis during the Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie).
Having all droids/vehicles on the planet be repainted to a rust color as camouflage(the Grey B2s would stand out immensely). To have B2-HA droids form the spearheads of assault/ambushes/retreats would serve as a great threat to groups of infantry and lightly-to-medium armored vehicles alike. Droidekas could be placed at certain points to ambush Imperial troops with a torrent of laserfire. It would also be important to use the agility and speed of the Hailfire Droid for hit-and-run attacks on the Imperial Forces; especially at night or during dust storms.
All of these may not stop or prevent the success of an Imperial invasion, but it'd sure make the process long and a pure Hell for them.
Thoughts? Clarification? Friendly criticism?
How about all of those things? I like all of those things.

I made the recommendation in the hopes that all these strategies could be used simultaneously(I could also make some IC suggestions from my character if everyone's okay with it). I'm just worried that the Seps won't have much time to set up such complex defenses and/or that the Imperial Force will be too overwhelming. What if other CIS fleets(in other nearby systems) attack more vulnerable Imperial outposts in the sector as the attack commences; like Tatooine in order to divert resources from the assault.

That's a lot of stratagems. I hate to be that guy, but you need to figure out what purpose the defense of Geonosis is going to serve in the larger picture if you want to create a strategy: do you want to defend it or use it as the bait in a trap? If you've got interdictor fields, the trap arranges itself: you've got a guy who's proficient with the Thrawn Pincer in your fleet and two fleets with emphasis on forward-facing weaponry facing each other. That gives you a method to beat the crap out of the Imperial fleet which attacks you, should you require it. In that case, your priority is defending the droid factories on Geonosis.
But then there's the other option available to you: distraction. You're on the defensive there, you can force multiply and tie the Empire's forces down while you push down the Hydian and Perlemian from the galactic north, taking control of the Borderlands. That gives you access to phrik, hibridium and ionite, while also increasing the secure boundary of Raxus Prime. There's Baktoid workshops on Ord Cestus which you can use to make up for the loss of Geonosis, consolidating you logistics into a single region with two superhighways to push down. And that gives you a good chance to steal Mon Calamari and start grabbing up those shipyards too. In that case, you just want to slow the Imperials down while you transfer shit off-world, making this a more grueling version of Hoth.

Allegiance paid to: Galactic Empire
Rank (if it applies): Grand Admiral
Appearance:(Image)
Personality: Obsequious, calm, self effacing, polite and very soft spoken, Kirrak is often seen as a simple military officer, a Scion of polite society. Howevet, underneath the polite demeanour and relaxed exterior, there is a ruthless and brilliant battlefield commander, capable of acts of untold cruelty. He is suave and charming in public hiding his deep ambitiom, but is unafraid of death, particularly causing it. He is well known as a socialite, and many in the Coruscanti upper class believe he is a bureaucrat rather than a field commander, but most high ranking officials are aware of his tactical and strategic skill.
Force Sensitive: No
Skills/Powers: Brilliant naval tactician and theorist, excellent shot and skilled hand to hand combatant.
Weaponry (If any): One Westar 34 Blaster Pistol and an electrostaff which he keeps in his quarters.
Ship: Personal Imperial I Class Star Destroyer, hot off Kuat Shipyards assembly line, crewed with handpicked officers and marines. Called The Annihilator.
Biography: Born to the wealthy Coruscanti banking and industrialist Kirrak family, Altor was used to privilege, wealth and power. The youngest child of 12, Altor was initially a slow learner, and many speculated he may have had a learning disability. However, he was deeply sensitive about his perceived inadequacies and worked exceptionally hard to overcome them. Despite this, he was often picked on by his siblings, and beat down by their superior achievements. He learned humility in these years, and the value of being obsequious and without scruples. Eventually, his avaricious pursuit to better himself paid off, and he soon became the brightest and most capable of his siblings, though few noticed. His code of honour was not entirely self serving however, as he deeply valued authority, and the order and control it could bring. He attended several prestigious academies, and learned much about history and military tactics. Much to the chagrin of his family, he cut his time short in the political realm at Coruscant, and left to join the Kuat Drive Yards research team. His aptitude was immediately noticed by the Kuati, and even at a young age, was one of their foremost test pilots and designers.
In 32 BB, he was contacted by a shadowy figure, known only as Darth Sidious, to create a small, stealthy personal craft, named the Scimitar. His team built the vessel, and its construction pleased the client, who noticed the subtlety of Kirrak and the quality of his work. Repeatedly over the next decade, as Kirrak was moved up the ranks of the Corporation, he continued to work in secret for Sidious, whom he saw only as a wealthy financier. His swift rise did not go unnoticed in the Capital, and he was a frequent guest at parties, galas, and other events, earning him an array of contacts in the Senate and the business sector. He was instrumental in designing the Acclamtor Class assault ship for the Republic, and as the Separatist crisis heated up, he began to realize the opportunity he may soon face.
In 22 BBY, as the Geonosis Crisis ignited the Clone Wars, Chancellor Palpatine requested the service of Kirrak, whose engineering knowledge would prove invaluable to the Fleet. Offered the rank of Rear Admiral in the Navy, Kirrak accepted, and soon became one of the rising stars in the organization. His innovative tactics and engineering knowledge made him a brilliant battlefield commander, and as he had done at Kuat, he glided up the ladder of power, becoming a full Admiral in 20 BBY after the successful battle of Wobani. He was given command of the Republic Home Fleet, and in 19 BBy was in command when Grievous attacked the Capital. Taken aback, Kirrak's tactical genius soon shone through, and he was able to deal the CIS a devastating blow.
Lauded for his record of near perfection, Palpatine showered awards on the Admiral, and he became an even grater star than he had been before in the social scene. With the fall of the Jedi, and the continuation of the War, Kirrak was made the first Grand Admiral by the new Emperor, whom he served with full dedication, though his identity as Darth Sidious remained hidden. Given command of one of the first Imperial Class Destroyers, Kirrak aims for a total anihilation of anyone who stands opposed to the Empire.
RP Example: See Previous App
Notes: Fleet Includes 1x Imperial Class Star Destroyer
3x Venator Class Star Destroyers
2x Light cruiser
Other characters are the crew of each of the ship's, including the Captain's and such.
A rough outline of my next app.
What's the tech level like in the RP? I'm assuming no full fledged Imperial ships like Star Destroyers yet, more like late Republican stuff from the Clone Wars

Age: 60-70 years old, roughly.
Gender: Male.
Allegiance paid to: Himself.
Rank (if it applies): Emperor, Master of the Sith.
Appearance (Picture appreciated):(Image)
Personality: Darth Sidious is an amoral, cunning, and manipulative wretch of a man, his body a warped vessel of the Dark Side. He is extremely intelligent, able to predict the actions of others and manipulate them to his liking, having done so to great effect in the Clone Wars. He cares for nothing except his own gain, his own lust for power and control over all things in the Galaxy above all things. Sidious is barely a Man. He is more like a snake in a Man's skin, a craven facsimile of a Human being, fueled by nothing but the limitless power of the Dark Side.
Force Sensitive: Yes.
Skills/Powers: Force Lightning, Telepathy, various other dark side abilities,
Weaponry (If any): A ruby red lightsaber.
Ship (If any): His personal shuttle, a modified Lambda-Class.
Biography (At least a well written Paragraph please): Before his ascent to power, Sidious was Sheev Palpatine, former Naboo politician, and Sith apprentice to Darth Plagueis The Wise. What transpired before the ascension of the Empire is truly irrelevant, though Sheev disposed of his Master when the time came, assuming the mantle of Master and taking many apprentices before finally settling with Anakin Skywalker, know Lord Vader.
After the failed assassination attempt by the Jedi upon his life, Sidious tasked his apprentice with the slaughter of the fools in their sacred temple, a fitting end to the enemies of The Sith. As Vader returned triumphant, he was again sent out to cleanse the foes of this new order, this time the Separatists on Mustafar. However, they caught wind of the coming betrayal, and took flight, forcing Vader to return to his Master empty handed. The boy faced the wrath of his Master, being bathed in the plasma of Sidious' force lightning, scarring him to an extent that he required a respirator to function. However, this was a blessing as well, as it allowed Sidious to mold Vader into a more fearsome tool, a vocoder to deepen his voice, and armor to grant him a mysterious and fearsome visage.
For a time, his apprentice did nothing but execute the enemies of his Master, crushing both Separatist and rebel outposts, which suited Sidious just fine as he consolidated his power, basking in the Dark Side. However, though Lord Vader tried his best to keep it hidden from his Master, The Emperor soon discovered that Vader's former lover led the Rebellion. Sidious knew that a shard of Skywalker survived in Vader, and he is preparing for the day when it will be crushed, whether by Vader's hand, or his own.
RP Example: VOID's RP?
Notes: I'll roleplay any messengers, royal guard, and other such things.
Apologies that the bio is so rushed, didn't really know what to put for it.
