To Whom it may concern
I send this correspondance to your business to bring attention to some of our products which we at Orbis believe will be ideal for your railroad network for Orbis is a recognized manufacturer of safe high speed rail transportation equipment. Our product line consists of standard gauge, narrow gauge, single and bi-level equipment which can be powered by direct as well as alternating current as well as traditional diesel fuel and for nations which still use steam, we cater to that too.
As well as our stock items, such as the 2E3 locomotives and trainsets such as the 2E2-9 Hyperion and Hyperion BL, Orbis can produce items to specification in order to meet a specific customer demand as well as providing fare paying passengers with a comfortable transit experience as they ride aboard our products. Research carried out on your railroad has revealed a loading gauge that permits a maximum car width of 3.03m, although this rules out our R-series trains such as the R500 and R700, it however leaves our commuter stock and X-series trains such as the 2E2-9 Hyperion and IC-X and given the winter climatic conditions, we recomend the IC-X family of single-level trains. IC-X is a development of our 2E2-9 Hyperion but features 22 traction motors, each with a 0.55mw traction motor, this enables the train to accellerate quickly without the worry of wheel slip in icy or wet conditions whilst in deceleration modes, the traction motors can be used in a retarding mode where energy is fed into the motors in the reverse direction to provide powerful, fade-free braking allowing for the final stop to be done with its disc brakes.
details can be found here www.orbisrailsystems.ice/icx
orbis also recognises that commuter trains are the bread and butter of railroad operations, as such we cater to that sector too with a range of multiple units which can be coupled together to form longer trains capable of long distance operations thanks to the inclusion of a catering island as an option in cars, available in overhead AC and DC as well as third rail DC, we recommend the 2E2-M Interstar and Interstar TR, both of which are inter-operable with eachother, allowing a TR set to couple up to a non third rail set and thus run over third rail lines. The installation of coach-ends rather than full locomotive ends on the driving cars enables passengers and crew to walk the entire length of a multiple unit train, this makes it particularly useful as you only need one revenue officer and train manager to manage the entire train as he or she can walk from one 4 car train in the consists to the next 4 car train that is coupled up, rather than having to have a different revenue officer for each 4 car set within the train itself.
Details can be found here: www.orbisrailsystems.ice/interstar
To replace your older electric locomotives, Orbis recomends our 2E2-8 Rapier locomotive which is designed for long distance mixed traffic which is equally capable of long distance fast passenger trains thanks to its 110mph top speed or hauling long freight trains thanks to its multple working capability, and coupled to this we also recomend the Galaxy passenger coach which features wide doors for wheelchair access.
