Technology Level. The Syndicate's technology is mostly comprised of high-powered explosives, firearms, lab equipment for their drug labs and EMP devices which they acquired from a mysterious contact.
Faction Biography/Lore: The Dragon Syndicate was founded in 1964 by Matsuzuki Kobo, a notorious member of the Yakuza. During the first five years of the Syndicate's existence they were caught in a seemingly endless gang war with the Kyoto Family, Tokyo's largest crime syndicate. In 1970 Matsuzuki invited Yoshi Kyoto, the kingpin of the Kyoto Family, to dinner to discuss a peace agreement. Once Yoshi arrived however, Matsuzuki had his gun him down and bury his body in a filed a few miles outside his house. Knocked off balance by their leader's sudden disappearance, The Kyoto Family quickly collapsed on itself, leaving The Dragon Syndicate the dominate head of the Tokyo Criminal Underworld. For the next 20 years Matsuzuki led a crusade which left a trail of carnage and dead bodies across Japan until The Dragon Syndicate was the dominant crime syndicate in Japan. In 1991, Matsuzuki was gunned down in a gangland hit by The Dragon Syndicate's only rival, The Kyoshi Family, which left Matsuzuki's son Mano in charge. Mano, who even more aggressive then his Father decided to spread the Syndicate's influence across the world. As The Dragon Syndicate started to spread spread across the world Mano did something that surprised his associates and angered the traditional members of the Syndicate, he started to let members of different races into the Syndicate. In 2004 Mano was killed in a car crash leaving his lifelong friend Yamashiro Tokaji in charge. Recently, The Dragon Syndicate finally arrived in America and set up their first stronghold in Pandora City, California and started a gang war with the Malone Family, the mobsters who ran the Pandora City criminal underworld. They are currently fighting off The Malone's while selling a new narcotic they call Dream Dust to junkies and homeless people across the city.

The Starlight wrote:The Nine Realms
Long ago, when the universe was filled with stars, but little life, a lone cosmic being, Hadrimmelis the World-Dragon s engaged in an iniative, to bring life to a universe that was not truly alive. And so, she created a star, in seed form, and set its on its way. In a journey that lasted many, many years, the seed gained sentience. And then one day, it bloomed, taking on the form of an ash tree, stretching throughout nine dimensions with its literal and metaphorical branches. It would come to gain the name of Yggdrasil. But there was nothing to inhabit it, and so, it created a world. A world that was called Urgrund. Upon it was born several races, among them the Æsir, lords and ladies of war, the Vanir, excelling in wisdom and the arts, the Venyar, cyber-elves of technology, the Cayar, who were known as the Elves of Sorrow and Morrow, along with other races. But from their differences conflict sprouted and bloomed, and so war came to Urgrund, a great, terrible war that tore apart friendships and alliances alike. It was every race for their own self, and some were brought to the brink of extinction. And so when the ashes had settled, and all were weary of lifting their weapons, Yggdrasil intervened, creating a separate planet for each race. And so the Nine Realms were born. The Æsir remained on Urgrund, and renamed it Asgard. But there was a price to pay for all of their actions, and so, Yggdrasil set a curse upon each race. Ever since, there has been relative peace, but with an undercurrent of tension that cannot be ignored forever.
Race Application
Race Name: Venyar
Location: Álfheimr
Race Appearance: Like this, this, this and elements of this.
Culture/World: The Venyar live upon Álfheimr, a land that was once could compete with the likes of Urgrund. But once the resources were all used up, it was all stripped in the name of technology. The landscape is dotted with ships, where all Venyar live now, and to even walk on land is a forbidden foreign phenonmenom that most have never participated in. Most Venyar own a personal hovercraft, and the most extravagant own these. The Venyar culture is strict and rigid with firm rules that are not meant to be broken at any costs. Everything is run like a machine. When a couple--matched together by a mating program that analyzes their compatability decide to have a baby, another program is utilized to make that child out of given genes. The couple can decide the child's gender, habits, powers, and dispositions. There is little free will for the child, the parents control whether a child goes into the assigned fields of Science, War, Construction or Care. Those who go into the field of Science are innovators, designers, who manage the Venyar's version of the Internet--a huge database of information and AIs, design the technological advancements of the day or conduct research to better Venyar society. Those who go into War are given incredibly powerful suits of advanced armor in which they are basically pilots, each armor equipped with an HUD, targeting system, life support, an AI and gauntlets that can tear through most things. Those who go into Construction are the builders and mechanics of all things, and those in Care take care of menial tasks. Regarding physiology, the elves are quite similar to cyborgs or androids, with a power button at the back of their necks and another on their foreheads, along with a battery in place of their heart, which provides electricity to power them. They require no air, nor food, but they do need sleep of a kind, or recharging. Elves also have a thinner bone density than ordinary humans, and the gravity upon Alfheimr is much lower than Earth's. Elves who act contrary to the wills of the Conclave, the ruling body upon Alfheimr which rules in a hall known as The Shard, are labeled as defective.
Biography/Lore: The Venyar were created by the great ash tree of Yggdrasil, upon Urgrund. After a war fought over forgotten issues, the Venyar were forced upon a long Pilgrimage across the branches of the great tree, braving dangers such as the snakes of Hvergelmir, the great squirrel Ratatoskr and the wyrm Níðhöggr who gnaws always at Yggdrasil. Before the War, the Venyar had been looser than they were, but upon Alfheimr, once many resources were used up due to a tragedy of the commons, leadership emerged, in the name of 4 elves who named themselves the Conclave. And then they created the Infinity Serum, which gave them immortality. They enforced peace and order, and the system that holds Alfheimr together to this day.
Inherent Powers/Abilities:
- Enhanced Intelligence: All elves have an enhanced intelligence that goes beyond normality. Some particular applications of said Intelligence is Numerical Precision, Accelerated Probability, and Pattern Sensing.
- Self Sustenance: Elves need no food, drink, or oxygen, but they do need to sleep.
Weaknesses
- Curse of Yggdrasil: The curse that Yggdrasil put on the Venyar was one that the Elves consider a power, despite it being actually a curse. That curse/weakness is Apathy, a total lack of emotions.
- Physical Weakness: The Venyar are quite weak in their own bodies, with a lower bone density than that of humans, along with less dense skin.
Additional information:
Race Name: Cayar | The Elves of Sorrow
Location: Svartalfheim
Race Appearance: Females and Males
Culture/World: Svartalfheim is a realm where survival is hard even for its long-time inhabitants. It is a swamp land, dark and murky, with the shadows filled with squirming wyrms and lizards. The Cayar live in tunnels, far underground that are lit by no lanterns or lights. Although they have vocal cords, they are not used at all, the Cayar instead prefer silence, communicating through an extremely complicated set of hand-signals. However, the Cayar are also master forgers, accomplishing this through the use of a special type of fire that emits no light whatsoever. It is rare for a Cayar to go above ground, and they are a secretive, shy people.
Biography/Lore: The Cayar were created by the great ash tree of Yggdrasil, upon Urgrund. After a war fought over forgotten issues, the Cayarr were forced upon a long Pilgrimage across the branches of the great tree, braving dangers such as the snakes of Hvergelmir, the great squirrel Ratatoskr and the wyrm Níðhöggr who gnaws always at Yggdrasil. Before the War, the Cayar were great makers of noise, and beautiful singers, but now, all is quiet upon Svartalfheim.
Inherent Powers/Abilities:
- Pain Extraction/Storage:[/url] The Cayar can extract someone's injuries, ailments or sorrows and store them within a box designed to hold and capture pain spren--small creatures that gather around pain and are the personification of said pain. Each Cayar, at birth, is given a small cube that is always in their right hand. A Cayar must make sure these pain spren do not escape, (the box breaking or cracking), and if they do escape, what ever pain that was caused happens to the nearest person, or even a group of people. To an extent, a Cayar can control these pain spren. The more pain spren a Cayar has, the stronger he or she is, and thus, sorrow is used as a form of energy.
- [b]Curses: The Cayar also have the ability to lay curses on living things or structures. Perhaps the greatest curse they have at their disposal is the Curse of Sorrow, which drains all of the pain and sorrow spren within a Cayar's cube and inflicts it upon the target. To living beings, this inflicts pain and sorrow, to structures, the curse makes the structure weak and highly degradable. The Curse of Unhealing makes it so the target does not heal from any wounds inflicted, with a varying time limit. And the Curse of Weakness weakens the target's physical attributes for a period of time. Finally, the Curse of Unrest makes a person, for lack of a better word, jittery, unable to pay attention to one thing in particular, anxious.
- Night Vision: The Cayar can see just as in the dark as humans see in the light. In fact their vision in light is also as bad as a human's night vision
Weaknesses
- Curse of Yggdrasil: The curse that Yggdrasil put on the Cayar is a hate of noise. Once, the Cayar rejoiced in all noise and sang, but now, they hate even the slightest of sounds, and loud sounds can cause their ears to bleed. Also, the curses that Cayar can inflict on others can backfire if a curse is said carelessly.
- Light: This is a major weakness for the Cayar, for the light is often blinding and hurtful to them.
Additional information:
Race Name: Eldjötnar | The Children of the Sun
Location: Muspelheim
Race Appearance: For a lack of male pictures...Here, here, here, along with scales and horns like these.
Culture/World: Muspelheim is a hot and dry planet, with occasional, but not frequent rain. Sandstorms sweep across the landscape at least once a day, and it is a struggle not to be scorched by the sun or buried by the burning sands. Muspelheim is a planet where the Eldjötnar uphold themselves to the highest standards of honor, as shown by the invocation shared by all of the various orders: "Life before Death. Strength before Weakness. Journey before Destination." Muspelheim is inhabited and protected by several autonomous knighthoods and orders, which have varied control over law, order and religion in the sectors that they control. However, despite their high moral standards, there is rampant corruption and individualism within the order. Everyone does what is right in their own eyes, in order to gain the rank of Grand Maestro within their Order. While the northern hemisphere has been relatively free of monsters, the southern hemisphere is plagued with fire demons, or as the Eldjotnar call them: Rjúfendr, who threaten to tear down the orders and whatever stands in their way.
Each Eldjotnar possesses scales on their face, neck, hands and feet. The Eldjotnar also grow horns, as seen in the images. Every season, in an event known as the Shedding, each Eldjotnar sheds their scales, which is an extremely painful occurence.
Biography/Lore: The Eldjotnar were created by the great ash tree of Yggdrasil, upon Urgrund. After a war fought over forgotten issues, the Eldjotnar were forced upon a long Pilgrimage across the branches of the great tree, braving dangers such as the snakes of Hvergelmir, the great squirrel Ratatoskr and the wyrm Níðhöggr who gnaws always at Yggdrasil. Before the War, the Eldjotnar were truly honorable, loyal friends and stalwart comrades. But now, thier honor is a facade.
Inherent Powers/Abilities:
- Fire and Spark Manipulation:: The Eldjotnar can manipulate fire, along with sparks, the latter of which also allows lightning bolts.
- [b]Supernaturally Dense Tissue: The Eldjotnar have a denser tissue than most, giving them an advanced durability. Their scales themselves are impervious to most things, and so also make excellent armor
Weaknesses
- Curse of Yggdrasil: The curse that Yggdrasil put on the Eldjotnar was vanity, a desire to appear honorable and pure to everyone else. However, they are unable ever attain these levels of honor, and either give up the pursuit of honor, or endlessly chase it in an unwinnable race.
- The Shedding: A Eldjotnar must shed their scales every season, and during this time they are almost completely hepless and are always weakened and in great pain.
- Density: The greater density of the Children of the Sun makes it impossible for them to swim, and decreases their speed to at or slightly below human levels.
Additional information:
Race Name: Jötnar | The Children of Frost
Location: Jötunheimr
Race Appearance: Here, here, here and here.
Culture/World: Jotunheimr is a barren, icy realm, a realm with no animals, no life save for the Jotnar. The Jotnar themselves are rather autonomous, but are led by a hereditary King who demands occasional tribute and forces. Jotnar as they grow older, also grow in height until they are sometimes 20 to 30 feet tall.
Biography/Lore: The Jtonar were created by the great ash tree of Yggdrasil, upon Urgrund. After a war fought over forgotten issues, the Jotnar were forced upon a long Pilgrimage across the branches of the great tree, braving dangers such as the snakes of Hvergelmir, the great squirrel Ratatoskr and the wyrm Níðhöggr who gnaws always at Yggdrasil. Now the Jotnar are in conflict constantly with the AEsir especially.
Inherent Powers/Abilities:
- Cold Empowerment: The Jotnar gain strength from the cold, thus that when they are in the cold, they have Supernatural Strength, Durability, Self-Sustenance and a Regenerative Healing Factor.
Weaknesses
- Curse of Yggdrasil: The curse that Yggdrasil put on the Jotnar was a deprivation of touch. The Jotnar cannot feel objects at all.
- Melting: If a Jotnar enters a warm environment, they could melt, which would lead to death.
- Slowness: The greater height and weight of the Children of Frost decreases their speed dramatically, so that even humans are faster than them.
Additional information:
Race Name: Æsir
Location: Urgrund
Race Appearance: They look just like humans, except being a little taller.
Culture/World: The Æsir live upon Urgrund, the place where the peoples of the Nine Realms were born. Urgrund was a beautiful land, filled with the bounties of beast and field, a golden land of waterfalls, hills and plains. There were great, golden structures built by the peoples of the Nine Realms, and all was well. But then the War happened. A great terrible war. And Urgrund would never be the same again. At first all appeared to be the same when the other races left. But when Odin, the All-Father of the Æsir departed into his Odinsleep, the land changed. It became barren, a wasteland, gray and dead.
The Æsir are a merry folk, often feasting before, during and after battle. They delight in battle, food and good drink, along with a good stories. War is no terrifying thing to them, but they revel in it, and view it as an opportunity to gain glory.
Biography/Lore: The first of the Æsir, the first accounted one was Odin, Lord of all Æsir. One by one the Æsir were born. Perhaps 100 years after the War, the Æsir first utilized the Bifrost to visit the land which we call Earth, but they call Middle-Earth or Midgard. It was there that they came to be worshipped by a group of people from the north of Europe called the Vikings. After the Vikings extolled them as Gods, the Æsir first began to take domains for themselves.
Inherent Powers/Abilities:
- Asgardian Physiology including
--Superhuman Strength: (10 tons)
--Superhuman Stamina
--Superhuman Dense Tissue
--Superhuman Durability
--Superhuman Extended Longevity. The Æsir maintain their immortality through the golden apples of Iðunn.
--Regenerative Healing Factor- Supernatural Combat Skill: All Æsir, with hundreds or thousands of years of combat and training, have mastered the art of combat. This does not mean that they are invincible
Weaknesses
- Curse of Yggdrasil: The curse that Yggdrasil put on the Æsir was firstly, against their realm of Urgrund. When the All-Father slumbers, the land withers and dies. The second curse Yggdrasil put on the Æsir was gluttony, blood-lust and hedonism.
- Battle-Rage: In the most desperate situations, during battle or times of extreme rage, the Æsir can enter a rage unlike any other, allowing them to shake off normally lethal wounds and fight even harder. However, their hearts can give out if they remain in this state for too long, and there is possible trauma and death from the wounds suffered during the rage. An Æsir who enters the rage too often will eventually go rabid.

It's kind of a hard question to answer because of the nature of the rp. But the main event in DC is wrapping up, and everyone else is doing small solo arcs or interactions. Points of interest though are the Young Bloods (teen super group) forming, the Justice Queens in Oandora City, and the War Hounds (Teen mercenary group) and there's a bunch of individuals who probably would enjoy interactions.
