Rabbis: The Multiverse

Being the strongest. That was all that mattered. Even with the thinly veiled excuses they all gave, pretending something beyond the strength once possessed mattered, they all knew. The worlds they have visited were hardly haven for the weak, but those who were weak within them only lived because the strong had uses for felt pity.

Every moment he'd lived so far was living on the edge of a razor blade in a sort. Every day he spent under the thumb another. In his own world, the Triumvirate that ruled the universe dictated his every move. Within the small group him Junip and Tomia had assembled, it was clear Tomia was the leader.

It was shocking to him the attitude he'd adopted. He was born to a woman with no other options, she was weak, and because she was weak, she'd never amount to anything more than an outlet for his Fathers anger and frustrations. She was nothing more than a trophy taken following Max's death. She had the chance to be strong, but had given it up, and her current situation reflected her poor decision.

The strongest being alive was the Father of his betrothed. He was a mountain of power, rivaled by his own father. As much as it hurt him to admit, there was no way he could match up to the two, without somehow changing the games rules.

"Sometimes there is more to fighting than pure power," He could hear the words of his first real trainer in his mind now. "My father taught me that being a great warrior means more than power. It means fighting against the odds even if you a rent the strongest."

It was always a bitter pill to swallow. Everything he'd learned about fighting had been from Lucien, his brother for all intensive purposes. He'd watched from afar as Lucien gained the power to challenge Hiroshi, only to learn just how wide the gulf between the ruling and the ruled was. There had been nothing more spectacular then witnessing the power of thousands of dead worlds as his Father had put it. Lucien had miscalculated, and despite that, he'd never backed down, even when Hiroshi shattered his rib cage. As much a fool Lucien was, he was still the only brother Rabbis would ever accept, his only sin imparting his weak philosophy upon him. And in a way, he'd repented for it in his final moments.

When a wisp of hot air rolled past him, Rabbis knew the second of his comrade had finished her opponents. His face remained stony for a moment before he turned to the Saiyan woman, glancing over her blood covered frame.

" I made it quick." She said, gesturing to the dead teenager before him.

Of course you did. The only person you savor killing is Hiroshi.

Blood dripped from her once white gloves, no doubt from Hiroshi. It was a hired he never really understood. Rabbis never hated Hiroshi, Okarot or the others. In fact, he admired Hiroshif rot he strength he acquired. All he ever wanted to do was transcend them in power, to become so much more then they were. He didn't want the throne, who wanted to rule the universe? That wasn't his goal. The real reason to be thesis torng was to challenge the nature of life itself, not rule the weak.

If you were the strongest being alive, you never had to bend to the will of others. Several years ago now, Tomia had promised them the power they craved. The first reality they jumped into gave him a battle against a being long forgotten. Freiza. The battle was still to this day, the greatest he'd ever participated in. Blood was shed and sweat shown on their frames, and after an hour, Rabbis had pulled above the tyrant, proving his superiority.

" You'll never catch her." Junip remarked coldly. " Tomia I mean."

It was meant as an insult, a jab at his honor. But as much as he hated it... The remark held some merit. It Had all began years ago, when she'd first confronted that redheaded bitch, the one most Hiroshi's galivanted around with. The strange obsession she had was born of spot as queen in their own world, a spot Tomia verbally hated. Even stranger was the fact that her anger at him had become more and more boiling the longer she did it. Years ago, they had been friends, years ago, she was the weakest of all of them. It was those years ago they had fucked regularly, when she and been the weakest of them. The most submissive.

The fact that she used that technique to rip away parts of her soul as she put it, was the strangest of all of it. The fact that she became stranger and stranger every time she drank her soul as she so eloquently put it was all the more depraved. It was like an addiction, a lust that couldn't satisfied.

Tomia had always been her fathers patient servant, while she plotted for rom the side. It was her idea to leave their world and poach other universes until they gained the power to usurp their parents. That was a great idea.

What wasn't a good idea was hunting Claudia after Claudia through different worlds to what? Drink their souls? Certainly she had become incredibly stronger, far beyond what she'd achieved back in their timeline. But at what cost? The more powerful she became, the crazier she ended up becoming.

When she does lose it. I can not be there... Sorry Tomia dear, but your quest will end long before you become 'whole'

" I know." Rabbis finally answered, staring quietly into the ruins around her. " I will surpass her power in death."

The look of concern that spread across Junips face caused him to smirk, the look fleeting.

" Dangerous talk." She responded. " Don't let her here you speaking like that. Unless dying was your goal."

With an annoyed and reluctant nod, Rabbis turned away from her. It wasn't just him that would die if Tomia cam pe for him, a death he knew Tomia rejected as impossible. No one was immortal, even if Tomia claimed to having gained time from that technique of hers. Whatever that meant.

" Talking about my death, brother and sister, I am hurt."

The strangely soft voice was enough to make him tremble for a moment.

Beside him, Junip tensed visibly, meaning he wasn't hearing things. Gulping, Rabbis knew the only one strong enough to defeat Tomia was hundreds of timelines away. The only one they knew was strong enough was the fathers they'd left behind.

" Everyone dies." Rabbis said, trying his hardest to keep the tremble from his voice. " Think about it. Your losing it!"

Before he could say another word, he was hoisted from the ground, clammy, ice cold fingers digging into his throat. Junip stood off to the side, abandoning him to his fate. And in that moment, he held no ill feelings for his betrothed, because in her position he would do the same.

Staring down into his past loves golden eyes, he could see hundreds of Claudia's screaming to get lose. Tomia had become little more then a prison constructed around one woman.

Struggling for air, Rabbis grabbed onto her wrist. Even as a golden spark of energy burst to life around him, Tomai remained unbending, and just smiled back at him, unbending.

" I don't expect anymore incidents." Tomia said in a low, dangerous voice. " I started us on this journey, and I will find what I am looking for. Cause me anymore problems and you will never achieve the power you wish for."

Walking ahead, Tomai dumped the capsule that contained their vessel on to the ground, the vessel as grey and bleak as the world they hailed from.

Seeing her standing there, towering over them like a god, just as their fathers and int heir own world, Rabbis breathed in raggdily. So far, he'd relied on the strength of his own arm, as he'd been taught, yet just as in their own world, his strength had afield him. Hiroshi had achieved his power by stealing it. Meaning Rabbis would do the same.

" Are you two coming?" Tomia's quiet voice broke the silence. " We need to make the next jump. I'm feeling stressed." She almost purred as she walked into the pod. Rabbis shivered as he followed after her.

A sadistic smile formed on Alastir's face as he felt the returning presence of the Void appearing within Alex, and it was bringing his primal instincts back to life once more "And so the great Void rears his face once more!" Alastir cackled as the black energy that had formed around his body began to bubble, corroding Alastir's very flesh, yet it didn't draw any blood whatsoever! "Not only do I get to murder Alexander for his actions against my people, but I get to put The Void in the ground again!" Alastir laughed once more, raising both hands up into the air, a massive portal began to open above, a massive tendril shot out of the portal, rivaling the size of a semi truck. The tendril began then shot out towards the oncoming tendrils that The Void had launched "Your mortal wound upon my body has inspired me to stop holding back the unkempt energies that my Galaxy contains, I can use it to crush you into fine dust." Alastir retorted back, watching as one of The Void's tendrils shot right through one of the tendrils that Alastir was manipulating and was shooting down right toward him.

Alastir, without thinking nothing of it decided to leap towards the large, man-sized tendril "HAAA!!!!" Alastir screamed out, generating a massive shockwave that met the Infini-Tendril mid way and clashed against it "Hakai No Ken!" Alastir exclaimed, the Sword of Destruction appearing right by his side. Alastir grabbed hold of it, flew up in the air, out of the hell storm of Tendrils. The Hakai No Ken was excreting a dark purple aura that increased in intensity until the aura became black and viscous "Slash!" Alastir yelled, slashing his Hakai No Ken in multiple directions, spawning multiple crescent-shaped energy blasts that shot towards The Void's Infini-Tendrils and even towards the Void himself. Alastir's body began to emit a foul energy that was the result of absorbing the power of every star, planet, and nebula in his Galaxy, although it wasn't all the energy in his Galaxy, it was sufficient "Let's see you dance Void!" Alastir laughed, flying headfirst into the void with the black energy swirling around him faster and faster with each passing moment.

"You know I've killed plenty of Gods right? Let's be hoenst here, calling you a God is a bit of a stretch. It's more like Godling. Get it? Cause you're small and weak? I crack myself up sometimes." Void cackled and then howled in pain as several of his tendrils and parts of his body were slashed. "Alright then little man. If you wanna play with the big boys, then you're not allowed to cry when you get hurt. Like this!" He said and used Alex's Molecular powers to Halt Alastir while he grabbed his arms. "Poor guy doesn't even know he has these powers. His brain is all bunged up. Kinda like... This." Void said and attempted to rip Alastir in half vertically.

"Please stay out of my brain. I've got some real personal stuff in there that is personal for a very good reason." The last thing Naja wanted was one of her best friends finding out all of the stuff she and Alex had done. She was going to fly through the window for dramatic effect, but decided to not have to pay another repair bill and opened it instead. When she flew out to the fight, she stopped, unsure of she should let Katie inside of Alex now that he was possessed by the Void. "Um... Katie, I'm gonna ask you before I do this. You can see through my eyes right? Well, Alex looks a little... Unlike himself. And I don't like the tone of his voice. It's less monotone and more crazy."

“Don’t worry. I can’t actually read your mind this way apart from some surface thoughts… well… not yet at least. You don’t have to worry about me rooting around your secrets, even if I could, I wouldn’t.” She remarked. Then she looked through Naja’s eyes. “Huh…” She spoke. “That is kinda odd. And he does seem a lot more bloodthirsty than usual.” She commented, seeing a guy nearly being ripped apart. “I may just have to do it remotely then. I think I should be able to "hack his wires" from in here.

Alastir's eyes widened, almost in horror as he felt his body being ripped apart by The Void's tendrils, but then a vicious smile formed on his face as he began to cackle once more "Foolish Entity of Darkness." Alastir chuckled darkly, before his body exploded into a mass of smoke that began to reform once more, with only orange eyes being seen as the shapeless black mass began to slowly reform "I am different from before, do you not realize this?" Alastir asked calmly, a dark smile being seen on his now forming face "The Alastir you dealt with before is no longer with us, the man who held back his power..." The black plume of smoke began to expand into a massive creature that remained to be unseen, but whatever It was, the creature was massive "You now deal with the Son of Darkness, the very God that controls all darkness within his realm, a being of Omnipotence in his realm!"

The Massive plume of smoke suddenly shot away from the Helicarrier before it began to gather together into the sky, followed by an earth shaking roar, causing a massive, dragon-like creature to emerge from the plume of smoke "This is my personal creation, my herald of darkness, and he is ready to feast upon you to death!" Alastir cackled from within the massive dragon, having taken full control of it's entire body. Because Alastir had control of the dragon, massive, nearly building-sized tendrils began to emerge from all over it's body, all of them flying down after the Void with malicious intent "Know my wrath!" Alastir exclaimed from within the Massive Dragon, which proceeded to let out a demonic, earth splitting roar as black fire came flying out of it's mouth and then towards the Void.

"I don't think he's expecting someone to attack his brain." Naja said. "I'll get you in there and then get the freaky guy as far away from here as possible. The dragon one that is." She hoped, and flew at the Void with all her might and smashed him into the sewer system. She managed to hold him down for about 3 seconds before the Void smacked her out of it. "Ouch." She said as she caught her balance. "I hope you're in there Katie. It's all you. Fix my boyfriend and don't die. In any order."

"I'm gonna have fun with you when I'm done with wanna-be me over here! And why the hell are you attacking me?! I haven't even threatened to blow up the planet! Yet at least. He has though. Hit him instead." What surprised him was that Naja actually set her sights on Alastir with the intent of going after him. "I've got one thing you don't asswipe! Backup!" Void laughed.

Naja flew under the leg of the massive dragon Alastir created and grabbed it with enough force to split the Earth. She was not letting go. Then she dragged it through, grabbed Alastir by what she thought passed for a foot, and flew into space with all of her might towards the one thing capable of stalling them long enough for Katie to rewire Alex's brain. The Sun. "For the record! You're a huge asshole, but I'm sure as hell not gonna let you idiots blow up the planet! It's time to put you both in time out!" If what he said was true and killing him wouldn't be easy, throwing something or in this case, someone into the sun would sting. "Yeah... This is gonna suck for everybody. But Alex isn't exactly himself at the moment in the event you missed it."

Just as Alastir was going to strike again, he felt himself lose his footing and then crash directly into the ocean, effectively burying his head in Sea Salt "Gah!" Alastir yelled as he suddenly clamped his mouth shut, he then felt himself being brought up into the air and then into space "What the fuck are you doing mortal?!" Alastir yelled as he attempted to struggle "Get your hands off of my foot!" Alastir yelled, struggling against her grip but could find that he was unable to get loose. He suddenly noticed that it was getting brighter and brighter with each passing second, Alastir suddenly came to a realization, he was about to be thrown into the Sun! He could survive the sun's harsh rays, but his little pet would become nothing more than an oversized thanksgiving meal if thrown directly into the sun "No you don't!" Alastir suddenly became intangible once more, his body phasing through Naja's hold by becoming nothing more than a plume of smoke "I can afford being thrown into the sun..."

Alastir's dragon seemingly vanished like the wind, revealing Alastir standing in his Full Power Primordial State as he stared at Naja intensely and with apparent anger "But my little pet here can't take the heat as much as I can." Alastir said as he pet his now unconscious dragon pet, which proceeded to disappear into a plume of smoke and enter Alastir's body "And trust me, I knew that something was up with Alex the minute the fighting began, I can determine voice patterns of course, I figured that I might as well play the rampaging Dark God and enjoy fighting, which I actually did, It's the first challenge I've ever received in years." Alastir replied, chuckling as he slowly regained his lost composure.

Sarah grinned mischievously as she saw John turning around to face her once again, and her charm seemed to practically ooze from her as she too approached him, very much enjoying the game, just like Morgan suspected. She walked until she was uncomfortably (or perhaps very comfortably) close to him, clearly invading his personal space. He was taller than her, which was evident, but not so much that she wouldn't be able to reach his lips if she wanted. For now, however, she contented herself with standing there, not making a move, her lack of action a tease in itself.

"Very well, John." The way she pronounced his name was itself an act of seduction. "I certainly have a few ideas, and I think you would like them quite a bit." For a moment there she seemed as if she was about to lean closer, but instead she abruptly turned around, away from Morgan. "Oh! But, since you're the one looking for adventure, perhaps it would be best if you chose the ideas instead." She said, taking a few steps away from him before turning to face him, still smiling charmingly. "I'm sure that you can think of many interesting, adventurous stuff you could do with a lady like me." She said. "So, why don't you think about it while I go back to pay the bill? And when I return, you can tell me your idea and we can go about making it a reality... together." She winked at him, before heading back into the Devil's Den, a wide smile on her face.

It took several minutes for her to return, and when she did, she hoped that Morgan would have an answer ready.

Kirisvala's intent with her childish rant had been precisely to get into Mars' nerves, in order to get back at him for hurting her feelings earlier, and so, she should realistically have expected him to react negatively to everything that she said. It was natural. However, the young Hadrian was not a machine, guided by logic, and so, though she should have, she wasn't expecting Mars to flip out like he did. She stopped flailing her arms around and flinched when the boy threw his helmet into the ground, revealing his face for the first time. Had the circumstances been any different, he would've made a great impression on the singing magician, but as it was, Kirisvala reacted with fear and regret as she looked into his eyes, which were full of anger that was directed, as far as she could tell, entirely towards her.

Hearing him begin to scream at her and everyone else present, she took a step back, suddenly startled by his fierce response, deeply regretting the words she had spoken to him. Had something happened with his parents? She should have known, she should have known better than to say something like that to someone she hadn't known for more than five minutes, figuratively speaking, but in her own anger, such consideration had slipped from her mind and now she had to pay for it. She didn't know what exactly had happened, naturally, nor why he was so angry, but the fact was that she had inadvertently caused Mars profound pain, and that was something that made her very sad and angry with herself.

Seeing him sit on the ledge of the building, she stood still for several moments, shocked, not daring to move. When she finally regained her bearings, she extended her claw towards him, as if attempting to reach out to him, taking a step towards him as well, but she stopped after that, knowing that his fury would likely only get worse if she tried anything.

"I'm... I'm..." She stuttered, more golden flowing forth from her tearducts, her eyes now watery with shining tears. "That was not.... not my..." She continued, her voice quivering, unable to finish sentences. Finally, she bit her lip and let her claw drop to her side. "I'm sorry." She managed to force out, before turning around and sitting by the opposite edge of the rooftop, hugging her knees with her massive claws and burying her face in her knees. She was doing everything she could to hold back the tears, but it was very difficult. She hadn't even been on Earth for a day, and already she had broken a friendship! How terrible was she?! She couldn't help it anymore and started sobbing very quietly, only hoping that the mood of the others wouldn't be brought down by her stupid scene.

"C-could someone get me a flask?" She asked softly.

Battle! Vs. Liberty!

Ah. Ah. AAH!

DARN YOU!

I didn't have much time to react. It just... came so fast. And then I saw Liberty in front of me firing a wave of fire from her flamethrowers. And where else but right at my face. It's one of those moments that I feel lucky that X models are not coated in organic material like the older versions - it's mainly a silicon imitation. Even then, it was brutal. Clothes burning and scorching, heat sensors overloading, constant damage notifications... It was getting annoying, in a way. But I was taking it.

Phew, phew... The attack seems to have subsided. My body was still there, standing. I was one step away from being completely naked, and scorch and burn marks were everywhere. But the most threatening part was the demeanor. It was a mix of frustration, fury, and confidence. And yes, my mind was the same.

"Female equality has surely taken it's toll - women are stripping down men instead of the other way around." I used the opportunity to attack. Libety was in front of me - with flamethrowers in both of her arms. I raised my hand and fired a gargantuan golden energy wave - almost a kilometer wide - in point-blank range. Just don't destroy this planet, please...

'GAAAAH. MOTHERFUCKER." Shouted a pissed Liberty as she was catapulted nearly into orbit by the blast. She was hurt rather badly, but her healing put it back down to flesh wound levels. Now Liberty was in the upper atmosphere. She sighed, hurlting back towards Frank at speeds which made most jetfighters seem like glaciers. That hurt bad. Realy bad. Better finish this soonish. She accelrated when she saw him, aiming to be right in front of him. She stopped when she was, consverting her two flamethrowers into one massive sniper rifle which she intended to use as a bat to send her opponent flying. If she succeded that, then she would empty her clip firing the high explosive sniper rounds at him.

Battle! Vs. Liberty!

Heh. This time I could see her coming from a mile away. That doesn't say much, though, as I flinged her away in hundreds... and a mile isn't much... It's a statement, okay? Made by weak stupid Earthlings who believed that a mile was a long distance. Where was I? Oh, right. While Liberty was coming, I checked my situation. My armor was still in the "ehh" zone of readiness. Could take a few hits. How is the Influx energy? ...Darn it. Not much. I can't win a battle of attrition - I must be considerably stronger to have a big chance of victory.

Anyway, as soon as Liberty transformed her flamethrowers into a sniper, I lifted my arm up, to the side, and stopped the weapon being hurled at me. It was tough... that weapon was actually not as light as I imagined it to be at first. Now, retaliate before she hits! But... I must conserve my energy... TO HELL WITH IT! If I want to win, I will win it here!

I raised my free hand and stretched out my palm, making an energy link with the air in front of it. Soon, a massive energy ball formed, an azure-ish one. "To Hell with you, Liberty! NOVA FLASH!" As I shouted these words, I cocked back my hand, formed a fist, and straight-up punched a massive energy wave out of the ball. The strongest attack I pulled out in this battle yet - it is explicitly strong enough to destroy an entire star! Hence the name. But... for some reason... I still held back...

WHY?! Why do I do this? I don't want her to live!...
I have a severe case of addiction to writing. At least 3k words every day is my fix.

Read my RWBY fanfiction!

The fact that the woman seemed to be smiling...creeped me out. She seemed to be able to defend and counter despite the two pronged strategy. As even as Chorus slammed into her, she maneuvered mid air and went right back on the attack. Using drum sticks as weapons, I started to wonder if all of Chorus' enemies used musical instruments as weapons, and a conspiracy theory that they were all just less skilled pop stars who could not get the fame Chorus had, so they resort to trying to kill her. Actually made sense to my child like mind. But my own block was not fast enough, and what I assumed were simple drum sticks, slammed into me, with a bone creaking pain that sent be flying through a wall.

Coughing among the bricks and dust, I picked myself up, and climbed my way out of the rubble, embarrassed by how that must have looked to Chorus, her bodyguard being sent reeling so easily. But a strange sight occurred when both Chorus and Janice seemed much...shorter...than I remember. I ignored the feeling and once more charged at Janice, this time moving at a speed far greater than the last time and throwing a wall shattering punch in her direction, as I noticed that my fist, was now covered in a red gauntlet. Revealing the armor I seemed to be wearing when I 'woke up’ and the fact that they were not shorter, I was in fact taller.

As Janice seemed to had accidently pushed me back into my....older August mode? Never mind, I will think of a cool name for it after I defeat Janice and impress Chorus I thought as my mind returned to the battle at hand.

Janice reeled from the strike, surprised by this development and taken off guard, Chorus took this as her opportunity, she sped towards the redhead and swung sideways with her blade. But she wasn’t aiming for Janice. She aimed for the wire of her headphones. She took her by surprise, and before she could even react her headphone wire was cut. And before she could even react to that she was cut completely in twain. Chorus quickly used her wires to lob the pieces away before August could have a chance to have a good look at them. (She didn’t want to traumatise him after all)

Chorus then turned around. She quickly mouthed ‘I can explain’ though she wasn’t sure if August would get that. Suddenly, her eyes turned red and she fell over groaning.

Verse then spoke.
Get her to safety. Spoke the blade. And yes she did just slice that woman in half, but don’t worry, she’s not dead. And yes I am a talking sword. The blade explained.

Mars
Mars had been ignoring Kiris' rant as he prepared to leave, not interested in arguing with her. Then she made a comment about his parents, and Mars stopped in his tracks. His mind filled with intense anger as he turned around and threw his helmet on the ground, revealing his face, which showed a mixture of anger, and deep seated pain. He glared fiercely at Kiris. "Don't you ever talk about my parents!" He shouted at her angrily. "You don't know anything about them, or me! SO JUST STAY OUT OF MY WAY! I don't need anyone alright? I'm better off alone!" He continued to shout. It didn't even seem like he was telling at Kiris anymore. He was yelling at the world. His greatest fear was that his parents wouldn't be proud of him, and Kiris had just plucked that nerve.

He was so angry and upset, that he was even having trouble thinking. He couldn't even remember how to fly in that moment so he merely grabbed his helmet and sat over on the ledge of the building, breathing heavily and clearly upset.

Xyri saw Mars angry and Kiris sad, which made her upset. She looked at the one who was once furry and gently placed him on a building. “Please stop fighting…” She said gently. She turned to Mars. “I thought I was better off alone, but then I met you guys.” She explained. “I didn’t like you at first, you kept hurting me. But then you were nice. You helped me. We worked together to fight the orange things. Rantu right? And even if you did not need our help, we made it easier right?" She said, then nodded. "What I am saying is, you don't like us yet, but if you give us a chance. We will." She explained.

She the turned to Kiris. She reasoned she didn't need so many words. She created a smaller version of herself, at about normal Xyri height, and gave the alien a big slimy hug. She had seen humans do it to other humans who were crying, and it seemed to work for them. "Same for you. Give Mars time. Then you will be friends." She said optimistically.

Gilbert could feel his cheeks getting a bit red by now.

"Damn, her game is way better than yours."

"Oh, shut up. Aren't you supposed to be helping out that singer girl or something?"

"No? I'm a part of your mind, not your soul. But whatever we're doing over there I'm sure we're doing a good job."

Kick her redhead ass, Chorus!

"Right."

"Uh, I think you must've missed the part where most of my memories were made and implanted. I don't think I have a favorite place or path that I could show you, I'm afraid. I'd love to, but there just isn't." He said, a bit sheepishly. However, the fact that the alien woman seemed as interested in him as he was interested in her was encouraging, and so, quickly gaining confidence, the young man inched closer to her as he began to gently lead her down the street, smiling at her just as widely as she did. "Though I could definitely get behind some of the things you said. The night breeze sounds wonderful, and I wouldn't mind strengthening my bonds with a cute alien girl." He grinned, before turning his attention to the road ahead. He had for a moment forgotten where they were before fighting Ku, so he was somewhat surprised for a bit.

"Although... Well, Gotham isn't the best place to be if that's what we want to do. We should probably skip town, some unsavory things can happen in this city." He mused. Naturally, he wasn't worried about any harm coming to either of them; he could regenerate from any kind of wound and Aru could likely shrug off anything a Gotham thug could throw at her. But he didn't want any moments ruined, and that was what he feared was likely to happen. However, for the time being, he simply gave a mental shrug. "But I'm sure we can find somewhere to eat. If there's anything that binds mankind together it's our love for food." He stated, before seeing a cafe nearby and leading Aru towards it.

The people inside were understandably surprised to see someone walking in with a blue woman, but in their defense, as far as Gilbert was concerned, they didn't look as frightened or as hostile as they could've been. He supposed that, with everything going on in their city, they were just glad that it wasn't some sort of criminal kingpin walking in to make a set of ridiculous demands. With that in mind, he led his date to a table.

"I'll pay. I think I reformed my money when I came back to life." He said casually.

“I have some gold bars I can give them if you don’t.” She looked around at the people, not at their staring at her but more at their clothing. She frowned ever so slightly. “Is there some sort of dress code here? I might not have anything to match human clothing.” She commented, looking down at her Hunter clothes. “These are after all the only clothing I have.” She explained, mentally commanding her guns to retract so she wasn’t so much of a walking threat to the people and she merely became an odd fashion choice. She sat down, then smiled at Gilbert.

“So, what kind of food do they have here?” She asked. She then paused. “Also, if you don’t mind me asking, what was coming back to life like? I mean I’ve never done it before…”

Classified location somewhere above the Pacific Ocean
"This is Agent Brand of SWORD- You work for me now, Agent Manifest." A new voice came over his receiver.
"SWORD? This is a SHIELD frequency, how did-" Manifest began angrily.
"Oh, don't get your panties in a twist, agent. SWORD is SHIELD's space division, though sometimes I wonder if they forgot about us with all their fancy new super-toys." The annoyed voice replied.
"Great. I assassinate a target in what might as well be Doom's kitchen, and I'm demoted- How wonderful." His sarcasm was nearly palpable.
"Cut the sass, soldier." Brand replied. "We've got a damn alien space station in geostationary orbit above Antarctica and nobody, not the League, not the Avengers, we don't even think Waller's found it yet. If anything- You just got the biggest promotion you'll ever get."
After a brief pause, during which Manifest simply absorbed the information, he gave a short laugh. "Touché, indeed. Where's do I rendezvous with my new handler?"
"You don't. It's me. I'll be personally overseeing your operations. Everything I've said since I started talking has been classified beyond belief, Manifest, I hope you know that."
"I can obey orders, Brand." Manifest replied easily.
"You're fighting aliens with no sense of morality and guns the size of Texas, Manifest. It might be time to think a little bit beyond 'orders.' " Brand replied seriously. "For every Braniac or Doomsday you see on prime time TV, there's a dozen other apocalypses that SWORD stops on a weekly basis. You ever heard of the Brood?"
"Should I have?"
"Exactly. What about the Metroliths who attacked Mount Rushmore?"
"The what?"
"No? What about the Drenx?"
"I get it, Brand."
"No, you don't. The Brood took down half the X-Men in eight minutes flat. The Metroliths nearly flattened a mountain in as much time as it takes you to drink a cup of coffee. The Drenx had an invasion force with dozens of ships, each easily the size of Manhattan. If SWORD had stopped, for even a single moment, everybody would be dead. You're one of us now. Which means you cannot let up- Not ever. Not unless you want to see the Earth burn. Got it, soldier?"
"Jesus."
"He won't be of any help to you in SWORD. The Quinjet you're in is a modified Model VII, designed to achieve escape velocity and has the heat shields to allow re-entry. It can't stand near as much flak, though. For this trip, it's pre-programmed with flight coordinates to the Peak, but after today, you'll have to fly here yourself. If you try and tell anybody anything I just told you, you'll be burned and you'll be put on SHIELD's most wanted list. I'm told you've taken a few names off there yourself."
"I set a bomb off under the feet of Von Bardas in Castle Doom my last mission."
"That was you?" For once, Brand seemed surprised. "Damn. They really are keeping you under deep cover. The rest of us were told it was Barton and Romanov."
"What?" Manifest nearly growled. "Who's giving the hotshots credit for my kills?"
"SHIELD is. Apparently, a couple months ago, you were transferred into deep cover status- All your kills were attributed to someone else, and all your info was redacted. SWORD didn't ask for you- You were assigned here. Which is unusual, by the way- We usually don't get anyone we don't ask for."
"...Hmph."
Brand sighed. "Whatever. It's SHIELD. Who the hell knows. At any rate, once you get to the Peak, you'll be assigned your first job."
The rest of the ride in the Quinjet went on in silence.

New York - The Baxter Building
"It's not like you can just go to France and avoid this, Grimm." Trophy was standing beside the elevator door on the thirtieth floor, with the Fantastic Four before him. "The entire UN approved- You have to take a side in this."
"Side? There are no sides here!" Mr. Fantastic interrupted. "It's the law- Even if it is wrong, which I for one do not think it is, we have no choice but to follow it." He had finally stopped his experiment, devoting his full attention to what was, in his eyes, a meaningless and fruitless debate.
"The law isn't always right, Reed!" Mr. Fantastic's wife, Sue Storm, protested angrily.
"Screw this. I'm going for a drink." Johnny Storm sighed, walking to the elevator.
"Normally the hot-head's more.. Well, hot-headed." The Thing observed.
"Normally his team isn't ripping itself apart over idiotic issues." Reed Richards shot back. "And normally, none of you interrupt me while I'm busy. I'd like to return to that." He scowled before stretching across the room and back to his experiment. The Invisible Woman stood for a moment, shocked and angry at the simple dismissal by her husband, before storming into the second elevator, leaving the Thing and the Trophy alone.
"I'm not going to fight SHIELD. They may be wrong- But I'm not going to fight them." Ben Grimm stood staunchly, attempting to give the final word on the issue.
"I'm not sure you'll have a choice." Trophy quickly retorted. "If you need me- I'll be looking for the resistance movements. They've doubtlessly started up already."
The Thing simply watched as the Trophy called the elevator and waited for one of the two to return to that floor.

Gotham City - Gotham General Hospital
The Reclaimer slowly opened his eyes, irritated by the bright light of the hospital.
"About damn time, Retlyer." He heard the Commissioner on the other side of the room, presumably sitting in a chair and watching him. He groaned.
"How long have you been there?" His voice was surprisingly weak, as though it hadn't been used in a while.
"About an hour. The GCD and GCPD are taking shifts in protecting your body. We're doing it because you're one of our own- But if you ask me, the GCPD is doing it to avoid protecting the Registration Centre. Sympathizers." He scoffed.
"How long was I out?" He questioned, slowly opening his eyes once more, now able to see, and looking around at the various needles and tubes in his skin.
"Two weeks." The Commissioner replied simply. "Quite literally every bone in your body was broken, and the vast majority of muscles and veins had either snapped or been ripped."
Reclaimer started coughing violently, causing several nurses to burst into the room shortly after and usher the Commissioner out. I have a lot of catching up to do.

Gotham City - The Superhuman Registration Centre
"This is Boxer. You read, Bullock?" Boxer leaned back in his chair.
"Bit busy here- The Tweedle brothers decided to pay East entrance a visit." Harvey Bullock, GCPD officer in charge of their operations at the Registration Centre, replied.
"Need me to send anyone your way?"
"We can handle it."
"Copy that." Boxer sighed. While the GCD was in charge of the North and South entrances, relatively few Masks had shown up there, as opposed to the East and West entrances, which were operated by the GCPD. Since Boxer was placed by the GCD Commissioner as commander of the Registration Centre forces, his job had gotten extremely easy. Of course, it was probably a bad idea to think that when you live in-
An enormous explosion rocked the room. Gotham City. Of course.
"Who reads, and what the hell was that?" Boxer scowled, sitting up in his seat.
"Simultaneous attacks on North Side, West Side, and South Side. Looks like the Tweedle brothers were part of an organized assault, but decided to strike out early. We've got Anarky and his gang waging war against the GCPD on West Side, with Scarecrow and two different guys named Blockbuster hitting North Side. You're on South, right? You've got Firefly, Firebug, and Doc. Phosphorus hitting you. The explosion was a Scarecrow fear gas bomb inside the centre, but I don't know why-" Another explosion rang out. "Ah, jeez."
"We've got a veritable army of random supers and masks in the Centre." Boxer's face transitioned into one of utter fear, no help from Scarecrow necessary. "Call in the League and the Avengers- Now."
"Got-" Static overtook the comms briefly.
"Hello there." The all too familiar voice of the Calculator came over the radio. "I hope you don't mind me taking over your radio- I just couldn't have you calling the Justice League, you see. The League and the Avengers have finally moved out of Gotham, and it's time for the big super-villain reunion. Happy hosting!"
This... Might be a problem. Boxer pulled out his pistols and aimed them at the door nervously.

Newly Deceased Planet, Unknown Sector
The One Below All scowled when he realized that he couldn't find any trace of his enemy. Then, he turned towards the planet that he had accidently helped commit mass genocide on. I wonder what else I can do with this kind of power... He shot a burst of light into the air from his sword, which was still missing a piece, and cleared out the ash and dust directly above the crater.

He smiled as he saw emerald light dashing towards him. Oh my, a Green Lantern. This ought to be good. His booming laughter echoed over much of the planet.

The Republic of Atria wrote:"I don't think he's expecting someone to attack his brain." Naja said.

Well if I die before your boyfriend is fixed, then we'll have problems. She transmitted to Naja, using electrons to give the right signals to the right place. Anyway, she began mapping the neural corridors of Alex's mind, trying to orient herself and figure out everything. This took all of one second. She got a rough idea of what was forcing GG to follow Sheild's orders, and began her neural rewrite with that in mind. She reconnected synapses, strengthening the part of the brain which dealt with independant decision making and weakening the conditioning that was given by sheild. She began erasing sheild programmed response in the memory section of the brain, isolating synapses to do with those. She was somewhat concerned about being found out, but she didn't let this stop her from doing what she came here to do. She was begining to tire however.

Almost done Naja...

"It's entirely possible you could've skipped being a dick. I mean seriously? What got you all riled up?" Obviously, she didn't exactly trust Alastir. With good reason, as he pretty much just tried to blow up the Earth. That and she didn't know how long it would take for Katie to fix Alex's brain. It wasn't like she could help her very much. She also didn't know that Alex had blown up one of his planets.

"Well." The Void said and watched as Naja carried Alastir and his pet away. "Now I get to have some real... What? What is this?" It was the feeling of dizziness. He couldn't control anything on Alex's body anymore. Not his arms or legs. Hell, it was a task and a half just to speak. "What... What did she do to me? This is bullshit! I just got back!" His grip on Alex's brain was slipping more and more by the second. "No! NO! I'm not through with you all! I'll be back! Mark my words! I'm coming back and you're all going to die!" It was then that the Void was purged from Alex's body as his consciousness began to make a return.

There we go! Just finish off a few things up here and... he should be as good as new. She quickly checked to make sure that everything was back to normal, and that the damage had been repaired. With any luck, Alex wouldn't be sheilds puppet for the forseeable future. If a collection of electrons which were somehow sentient could sigh with relief, they would have. (Authors note: There's a sentance I never thought I;d write.) Katie was however, hesitant to say the least. She might have to check up and see if she had screwed up. She addressed Alex directly. "So. Are you back to normal or do I have to force shutdown your ass." She joked. She would likely never try something like knocking him out considering she might screw up the work she just did.

The attack hit her, as it always fucking did it seemed. This time Liberty lost a hand. And this time Liberty was really pissed. With considerable speed, her very fastest she could possibly go, Liberty started an assault. With Chains acting as whips and vicious kicks and punches, Liberty was throwing enough attacks (hopefully) that they would be near impossible to all be blocked. She then went in for a direct tackle, planning to pin her opponent to the ground should it succeed.

Why... w-why. WHY IS IT NOT WORKING!

There has to be something wrong here! I trained! I prepared! I'm a Celestial Android! And yet, with all these cards at my side, I can't destroy one, measly, Earthling android with the strongest attack I've ever used in my entire life! I... why. Why, life?

Huff... I have to be strategic here. As always, for Hell's sake. Influx situation, GUI! A few seconds left... Enemy situation? Attacking from all sides- Ow! That was a powerful slap from her chain. I deflected a few others in the heat of the moment. If this continues, I will have no other way! Heat Blade- AGH! Yet another attack, this time from her fists. This was followed by a massive tackle from her, which sent me pummeling and rolling back on the ground.

Ugh... Huff... I still have something left. A measly percentage, but we can work with it. I tried standing up. Slowly... but surely. If I could feel pain, I would probably be in agony. Now then... I-I just can't believe this has gone worse than last time. And I'm even stronger! Gosh, then what is Xucor going to be? God?

"Well..." I muttered from my last Influx breaths. "All I can say is - this was one hell of a date." There is no point in attack now - I'll just waste energy.
I have a severe case of addiction to writing. At least 3k words every day is my fix.

Elena Galadera/Stormlight

Elena stood up, brushing the gravel from her knees, frowning a bit. Rikki was unconscious still, but it looked like she would be fine. However, Mars seemed to be even more of a loner than she feared, and she suspected he would take awhile to come round. "Your song worked very well, Kiris. It was nice to meet you all. I don't think any of us could have done this without each other," she said, patting Kiris on the back. My name is Elena, by the way. Don't worry," she said to Kiris, nodding towards Mars. "He'll come around eventually, and there's no need to be upset after a victory."

"But I don't think we should all go our separate ways. None of the many other heroes on this planet came when the Rantu showed up, showing that they can't handle everything. We're all around the same age," glancing dubiously at the aliens, "I think, and it'll be cool if we founded our own team of young heroes to fight threats that the older heroes are too busy to handle. What do you all say?" she said, looking at each of their faces.

Mars
Mars heard Kiris begin to cry as she went over to the other ledge and sat sulkily. He then heard Xyri approach him, and for a strange slim creature, she actually made sense. His anger began to fade a bit and he started to feel bad about how he had treated Kiris. Mars had a lot of unresolved anger, and he was angry at the world, not Kiris. He shouldn't have taken his emotions on her. He then heard her ask for a flask, which seemed like a strange request at that moment. However Mars actually had one, strapped to his leg. It didn't really serve any practical purpose, but it was actually an heirloom that belonged to his father. It was a silver flask that had Mars' family name "Asarin" on it. He didn't want to part with it, but he decided it was the right thing to do.

He stood up slowly, and took a few cautious steps toward Kiris before continuing at a more steady pace. He placed his hand a little awkwardly on Kiris' shoulder, as if he wasn't very comfortable with physical contact. "I'm... sorry. And.. thanks, for your help before." He said to her, though he sounded as if the words were quite difficult to get out. To fill the awkward silence he then held out his flask to Kiris, "Here, just... don't lose it okay? It's important to me." He told her, very serious about the last part of his sentence.

He then heard Elena's idea and frowned, being part of a team? That didn't sound like something he was interested in at all. H didn't like to be held responsible to other people or have them be dependent on him, Mars barely liked being around people at all. "No thanks, I work alone, and its best if it stays that way." He said definitively to her. Once Kiris gave him back his flask he planned on being on his way and never seeing these people again if he could avoid it.

Morgan
John felt Sarah getting quite close to him but didn't back away. He was quite charmed by her in this moment. The way she said his name, even the way she stood was fascinating to him. She then suggested that he come up with a plan for what they should do and it was pretty obvious what she was insinuating. However, as Sarah left, John gave it some thought. He decided it would probably be boring for Sarah if they just had dinner in his penthouse. She seemed like someone who wanted the unexpected. "Well, I have a nice home in Paris, and a private jet, if that interests you." He said with a smile.

The Republic of Atria wrote:"It's entirely possible you could've skipped being a dick.

Alastir's small smile fell to a frown within an instant, Utopia Worlds weren't ordinary planets that could be created by a flick of the wrist, they took time to create, the utmost delicacy had to be taken in order to assure that the process of it's creation would be complete "You're lucky I gave you all a fighting chance, because If you were to be dealing with my predecessors, who happen to be more powerful than me, Earth would have been destroyed, no questions asked. Utopia Worlds aren't something that can just be created with the flick of a wrist you know, It takes a decent amount of time and patience to create it, and Sigma Galli Prime was the crown jewel of the Utopia Planets, taking more than Two Celestials to donate their energy to it's creation, because my numbers are so thin at the moment, Sigma Galli Prime may never be recreated again." Alastir sharply replied as he began to go back down to the surface of Earth "Once you realize how hard it is to create a Utopia World, then you'll realize why I was so angry."

"Gold bars?" Gilbert asked, incredulous, and then chuckled. "Well, you're just full of surprises aren't you?" He said, before leaning back in his seat and answering her question. "Well, coming back... It wasn't anything that impressive, from my perspective at least. It was the same as every other time. I didn't see God, if that's what you're asking. It first goes as it usually does: I go through the motions of dying, pain, loss of senses, all that good stuff, organs shutting down one by one. But apparently my consciousness is tethered to some cosmic force, so, I can still think and use my powers to reform. It was more or less the same with Ku; that death was simply a tad more gruesome than the others." He said with a shrug.

It was only after he'd finished his explanation that he noticed the seemingly very scared and weirded out waiter who had a pair of menus on his hand. Gilbert nonchalantly took them from him and dismissed him with a gesture, with the man very quickly scurrying away. The young man then took one of the menus and handed it to Aru, keeping another for himself. "And that's the kind of food we have over here. If you have any questions you can ask me, I'm no expert gastronomer but I like to think I know my way around fast food. And once we're done here, we can go get you some more fitting clothes. You know, if you want." He said, remembering that she'd displayed some apprehension about being dressed a lot differently from everybody else around, even when what made her noticeable was not so much her clothes as the fact that she was blue. He did wonder how she'd look like in more casual clothes.

Having returned from paying her family's restaurant bill, Sarah was faced with quite an intriguing opportunity. Paris was the famed city of lights, and though she had always taken stories from that place with a grain of salt, it was still a heavily romanticized place in the collective psyche, and so, she could not help being interested in it. She had also never boarded a private jet ever before, so there was that as well. Now, there was the matter that Paris was quite far and she wasn't quite sure if Morgan was keen on bringing her sisters along with her. She doubted he would refuse if she asked him, since he was a good man from what she had seen of him and she could always use her charms to convince him to take them along. But, that wasn't the point. As much as she loved her sisters, she knew that the point was to spend time alone with this man, not them.

She scratched the back of her neck as she thought of what to say next, something uncharacteristic of her. "Oh, John, that was quite a surprise to hear, but I'm afraid you're putting me between a rock and a hard place here. I don't think it would be a very good idea for me to leave my sisters alone. You saw what happened today, and that's just one of the many ways something could go wrong." She stated, smiling awkwardly.

Kirisvala first felt the embrace of the alien slime girl as her gooey arms wrapped around her, offering her some semblance of shelter, if not warmth. Had she not been so sad and upset with herself, she would most certainly have smiled at Xyri's gesture and returned it with glee. As things were now, she was happy to have Xyri's support, but didn't react to the hug, continuing to sob softly, trying to do so as quietly as possible. Hearing the slime girl's words of encouragement, she felt another wave of sadness wash over her, making her fight to hold back tears once again, but then she nodded. "I-I hope so..." She mumbled softly. She was sad because she'd screwed up, but maybe she hadn't ruined it completely, like Xyri said.

Then came Elena's kind words, and if she could have, Kiris would've smiled again. Instead, however, the Hadrian just nodded once more. In a way, she had to admit that Elena was right. They had just won over the evil orange people, they should be celebrating, but even then she felt pretty awful for what she'd said about Mars' parents. She should've held her tongue, instead of lashing out like that and accidentally hurting him.

It was only until she felt a hesitating hand on her shoulder that she finally looked up from her knees, her cheeks and her crimson eyes both stained with golden tears. She saw that it was Mars who had placed his hand on her shoulder, and heard him apologize for being angry at her. That, by itself, wasn't too uplifting, since she knew that she had been the one to make him angry like that, but it still made her feel a bit better. He hadn't exactly forgiven her, but she supposed it was more or less the same. She then listened to him thank her for helping, and smiled for just a second.

When he offered her the silvery flask, the singing magician looked up at him, and then at it, before reaching out for it with one of her claws. However, before she grabbed it, she noticed something. A part of her hand was scorched and burned, the scales parted and the flesh beneath exposed. She had forgotten amidst the battle, but that had been the wound inflicted on her by one of the Rantu that had shot at her while she was singing the Hymn of Ruin. Surprised to see it, she used the wounded part of her hand to wipe one of her golden tears from her face. The moment that the shining drop touched the injury, the damaged part of her claw seemed to glow for a moment, and the next moment, it was completely healed.

Content with how her wound had healed up, the pinkish-haired Hadrian reached out once again, this time taking the flask from the hand of Mars. She wouldn't have blamed him if he became a little apprehensive, considering that her hand was an enormous claw, but the truth was that she handled the flask with utmost care, almost as if she was used to performing delicate tasks with such rough appendages. With ritual-like reverence, she used the flask to collect her tears, gathering about a dozen drops inside before wiping her eyes, as she was no longer crying. She then looked at the flask in her hand, smiling faintly.

"So," She asked, now turning towards Mars. "You're... leaving?"

I am only Tribal by adoption. I am not easily frozen inside a block of ice. We must stand and fight. Let's bring down Ice Age together. The legends say that heat is a way to bring him down, and he freezes himself into his cave."

Eldara's thoughts processed rapidly through her cyber mind as she levitated their orb up and out of the hut.
"Seems logical, heat countering ice."
She replied as they ascended into the sky. Eldara had extended and armed her sonic blade which hummed softly at her side as she scanned the landscape for their target.

As Eldara flew up into the sky with Ara. Ara saw the frozen landscape. She was still calming down from her shock. She looked at the frozen Amazons. She had not had this kind of problem with the monster in Shanghai or when she fought the Mandarin. Her mind floated back to when she had been told that she must defend Earth. The shaman said to her, "This is your destiny-to fight the darkness that attempts to shroud your birth land. It may take many forms, which you must overcome. It will be in a form you least expect." He gave her the spear she held in her right arm. The one that could shoot flame out of it. A new courage filled her heart as she glanced across Paradise Island. She saw a section of the jungle not frozen and pointed. "He'll be right there," she insisted, "he took over the world once and the Tribals stopped him with sheer courage-the courage of my adopted father's grandfather, who melted Ice Age's cave. Ice Age froze himself inside in an attempt to save the cave. We can do it. We will stop him."

John Morgan
John was surprised when Sarah seemed to be genuinely indecisive about his offer. She hesitated to answer, which he was sure she hadn't done in the brief time that they had known each other. When she answered John was surprised, but actually admired Sarah's decision. He could tell that she wanted to go to Paris, but she cared about her sisters too much to abandon them. He began to see that there was a lot more to Sarah then her apparent supernatural beauty.

"I understand Sarah, and I admire how much you care about your sisters. It's truly touching. So, you'd prefer something more close by? Or maybe something where you didn't have to be totally separated from your sisters?" He gave though to this for a second, trying to think of a solution. Then, an idea came to his head that he thought could solve the problem. "You know, it might be childish, but I've always held a soft spot in heart for Disney World. My parents used to take me there as a kid. They were some of the best times of my childhood. So what do you say? I'll take all three of you there, and then Samantha can take Hannah on all the rides if she wants. I'm sure Hannah will appreciate all the costumed characters, considering how much she seemed interested in that Superman impersonator." He then gave a small smile, "Also, I'm sure we can find a quite place to ourselves. They've got some nice restaurants there, the hotels are nice too. Maybe there we could try out some of those ideas you mentioned." John added in a bit of a flirty tone, hoping she'd like his second idea better than his first.

Deadshot and Bullseye are killing off the thugs, while War Machine struggled to fought the demon who lashed him powerfully. The battle isn't one-sided, but the supernatural themes of the villains are no match for technological powers of the team, although it is compensated, naturally.

Blue Beetle, Ant-Man, and Rogue tried harder to reached the fight between Randall and his enemy but it is hard. Blue Beetle was tossed with a grenade, and when it went off he went back from the explosion, not wounding him hard.

Meanwhile, Agent Zero is still parachuting, something that is illegal in New York but ever since the Act happened, and he has gained the access to parachuting it didn't matter anymore. He landed at one of the rooftop of the higher building, and went down to the lower building via his reusable parachute. He landed again on the rooftop of the lower building, and he prepared his equipment.

Despite having a fireball tossed at him, Blue Beatle or any of the other supers didn't retaliate. A good for him to cause as much mayhem as possible. The amount if chaos in this battle is already sky high, with he being a third side in an all out battle between Stark's cronies and Sangoma's minions. Of course. he had to take down both sides by himself, such are the woes of being hated by almost everyone on this street.

The attention on him being surprisingly low, Randall walked over to one of Sangoma's thugs, charged up with mechanical energy, and chucked him towards War Machine and the demon latched onto him.

The grunt slammed into War Machine, causing both him to stumble and the demon to fall off. He used this opportunity to aim at the monster and fire at it with the machine gun mounted on his shoulder. A metallic roar suddenly filled the air as round after round was quickly fired. As both Bullseye and Deadshot continued to pick off Sangoma's thugs, Blue Beatle, Ant Man, and Rogue landed around Randall.

"Hey... guys. Long time no see. How's the Dark Recon doing?" Randall said sheepishly, taking nervous glances at the group of supers sent to capture him.

"You know why we're here, Conduit" Blue Beatle demanded, charging up an energy blast and aiming it at him. "Surrender now and return to Avenger's tower. Let's not have to make things difficult"

"Figures, the rust bucket sent you guys". Randall was in no way surprised by this, and expected this to happen at some point. The Dark Recon is Stark's new team of pawns, of course they would be sent after him. "Look, don't take this in offense, but I don't want to go back and be made into a weapon. So go screw off, okay?"

Blue Beatle shook his head. "You've been warned". Without hesitation he fired the blast, but as it hit Randall, it was simply absorbed into him. He made a wicked grin before sending the energy back at the beatle in an equally powerful blast.

Launching several exploding Batarangs to hopefully finish the fight, she turned and swooped towards Rikki, catching the girl before she hit the ground, Elena landing gently and carrying her bridal style to the Batmobile, which she laid Rikki against. "You alright?" she asked, kneeling down beside her, trusting the others to finish the fight.

Rikki didn't hit the ground, surprising her semi-conscious self greatly. She vaguely recognized that a woman had saved her from falling, then cradled her against her chest before setting Rikki down on the ground. "I'm fine, just let me rest." Rikki slumped over and fell asleep, her colored hair turning back to white and the blue tint fading from her skin as she faded into unconsciousness.

But passing out isn't then end for a race of beings like the Saana. Mental mastery and all that, Rikki was able to watch the fight conclude from where she slept.
