Since oil price would skyrocket, solar nuclear would be even more viable, therefore bringing in the green atomic age.

And then the entire world would declare war on our not-so-fair country. To quote somebody, "I don't know what World War III will be fought with, but I do know World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones."

I don't know about that. Russia would be way easier to destroy than the US, and nobody has even tried to stop their war of aggression. I bet if the US attacked Canada, Europe would say "Bad America. Stop that right now or we'll impose trade sanctions."

This is an odd question, but has anyone watched the anime Last Exile?

It's a nice little universe, and I'm thinking of making a RP about it that would play similarly to D&D.
(e.g. levels, classes and stuff,)

Any interest at all?

It's a very nifty world with all kinds of sciences and magics. It wouldn't be simple to balance that for an RP I feel.

It'd be a simple-ish system. Classes would be what kind of vanship you fly. Like if you fly a Vespa, you're harder to hit, but physically frail. Or, if you're a courier vanship, you're faster than others, but have bad attack. Heavy vanship, and combat vanship etc. etc.

Nobody would be an Exile controller. Nobody would have a battleship at their disposal. At most certainly, there will be no starfish.

RP ASSISTANCE REQUEST

#1313
Concept: A Last Exile themed dogfighting RP similar to D&D
Genre(s): Steampunk, Dieselpunk, Dogfighting, Character
Type : Character
Level of Detail: D&D-esque rules, but with marginally less feats and skills.
Detailed Description: I'll just put in my intro here.

The year is 749, Era of the Guild on the Prester-Class planet Jellal. The Exile has yet to be unlocked and three factions rule the skies. The Guild, the Unified Republics of North, and the Grand Confederacy of the South. The Confederacy and the Republics are constantly at war, and due to this state, they constantly hire privateers to fight their battles. These brave men and women fight with no honor, nor do they obey the Guild. And you, just happen to be one of them.

Hmmm... Guys, do you think I'm going over-board again with the rules?
Here is what I wrote so far:

and that's just a fraction of the rules.

Looks good, however, in the time section you have a typo, you said "that are spend to do activities..." Whereas it should be "that are spent to do activities..."

Other than that, looks good. Can I make a settler presumptively?

Yes, Yes. Thanks for the info, I tend to write rules at a speed of 30 words per minute and so I often leave mistakes.

I'd recommend cutting down on that MASSIVE list of activities, or at least make it prettier to look at.

I'd suggest lumping some together in sub-categories, like Collect Resources - Clay, Ore, Wood, Fur, etc, with some parameters to define time. Something like: Takes 12 hours unless [tool] is used, then takes [whatever] hours.

Same with Crafting and Harvesting. For Crafting and Building, just make it a single skill, and provide a bunch of recipes. That way, the mechanics are more readily apparent to newcomers and are less likely to scare them off.

I don't know much about D&D(W40K is my thing) and even less about Last Exile, but it seems to me that D&D's mechanics, which are based around small groups of adventurers exploring, are not quite suited to dogfights and the like. You could adapt, to be sure, but it wouldn't really have the same feel as an actual dogfight, more like dueling with some terminology changes, ya know?
