The Gracchus-class ELINT ship is an electronic/signals intelligence vessel, the first non-civilian model produced by Maritime Imperial or any of its subsidiaries, and represents the company's first foray into military spheres. Designed between 2011 and 2014, the ship is a collaboration between Tethys Mara, Maritime Imperial's naval wing, and Neu Engolleen firm Schwyz Logiztek, originally commissioned by the Neu Engollon Defense Forces in order to replace their aging Oste-class ships and also accommodate the updated systems provided by Schwyz Logiztek. It was developed in order to fulfill the need of a customized ELINT/SIGINT vessel that could gather information on the high seas and support fleet operations.

A more affordable variant of our nuclear-powered Belisarius-class ELINT ship, the diesel-fuelled ELKTRM (Electronic/Signals Monitoring) Gracchus is designed for operation in warm to temperate waters and climates, lacking a specialised icebreaking hull. This makes it a cost-effective, yet no less viable, alternative to the Belisarius for nations which do not need or expect to operate in frigid climates. The basic hull structure is an adapted form of Oldport Engineering's Thebes-class whaler, but its structure has been entirely optimised for signals intelligence and recon roles.

For boarding defense, weapons, or less lethal water cannons, can be pintle-mounted on to the deck to repel boarders. A countermeasures package tailored to modular attachments made for the Gracchus by Schwyz Logiztek includes chaff and flare launchers and a CIWS gun to knock down those inbound projectiles which can be radar tracked. Mounting more offensive armaments is feasible but not recommended for a number of reasons - mainly that it can invite heavier retaliation, but also as space is needed for both the crew and systems to operate optimally.

The ELKTRM Gracchus is able to intercept transmissions on most bandwidths and spectra. In passive transmission collection mode, it can absorb hundreds of signals and bits of data per second and record it for later transcription or for instant re-transmission to central data gathering. When confronted by hostile jamming and electronic interference, the ELKTRM can bounce damaging jamming back onto the transmitter, as well as utilize its own jamming equipment to interfere and scramble enemy transmissions.

With an array of electronic systems and suites, the Gracchus is the perfect support ship for a fleet, but can also operate independently. When the extra countermeasure packages are added, the ELKTRM can thwart immediate attacks from hostiles alerted to its presence and true purpose, in order to flee the area quickly, or fall back on fleet protection.

The full package of Schwyz countermeasure and electronic surveillance suites and systems for the ELKTRM includes:
